How could they have let his final resting place be the UPSIDE DOWN?!?! HE GAVE HIS LIFE FOR A TOWN THAT HATED HIM AND STILL HATES HIM EVEN IN DEATH? AND THEY JUST? LEFT HIS BODY???

AND WHY ARE DUSTIN AND WAYBE THE ONLY ONES MOURNING?!?! You're telling me that Mike wasn't even a little upset? He was Eddie's friend too, and they don't even acknowledge it! And Steve? Nancy? Robin? Lucas? I mean Lucas may be overwhelmed worrying about Max but seriously, none of the rest of the gang gives a shit? We didn't even get to see their reactions to finding out, to finding Dustin sobbing over Eddie's body.

And I understand not having a funeral. I mean, the whole town is in disarray, hundreds of people are missing, over 20 confirmed dead, it's the chaos of the aftermath of a (super)natural disaster. But we see only TWO PEOPLE MOURNING HIM?!?!

I'm so furious right now. Eddie deserved so much better. The whole redemption arc was bullshit. He didn't need redemption from anything! He didn't do anything wrong! That's the whole point! He was falsely accused! He was innocent! The only thing he was guilty of was running, which is a COMPLETELY NORMAL HUMAN REACTION TO THE HORRIFIC THINGS HE'D SEEN!

He died and for what? FOR WHAT? The rifts still opened, Max still (basically) died, Hawkins still got destroyed, and Vectna still got away! His death meant nothing! He should have lived! He deserved to live to see his name cleared and his reputation repaired. He deserved to graduate! And live a life! And keep fighting! He deserved to prove himself in a better way, to prove that he wasn't a murderer, to prove that he wasn't like his father.
