All Kagehina “proof” I know of

Ok i wasnt gonna post this but ive been told by a friend to explain why some might ship Kagehina so... try me. i dont exactly ship this myself but lets just say im a pro when it comes to this topic also it's not as bad as i thought it was there are worse ships idk why i was a hater also i lowkey got some of this from shipping wiki but most of it i knew already, plus NOT ALL OF THIS IS NECESSARILY REFERENCES TO THE SHIP it kinda just adds on to it anyways lets just get into it

ok so starting with common knowledge i think everyone knows that Hinata is the protagonist followed with Kageyama being the deuteragonist, they get the most screen time together and are pretty much paired MOST of the series, we get a lot of content with them together while also getting content of them on their own, they're known as the "freak duo," the "greatest teammates" and like 100 other names they've been called I've seen a lot of people intemperate their relationship wrong, I've seen a few say Kageyama was downright "abusive" to Hinata which I think is a little farfetched, but to each their own! They genuinely do care for each other and it shows, even at the end of the manga you can tell how far their relationship has come, even if they consider themselves rivals, they are without a doubt still friends Now a lot of people have said "well they're not gay they're just friends", while this is true, it has been referenced/implied officially in many places, including manga panels and english dubs, so while it isn't canon there is a few cute things about it which we know are official which is why I'm sharing this, I myself know it isn't canon, plus I didn't really make this to prove anything it was kinda for fun sorry if that made little to no sense but I'll start getting into more interesting stuff 1. at the tip of the iceberg we have the fact they're in so much official art together

theres like a 1000 more of these btw theyre often put near eachother even in official arts not based off them

he didnt really consider kageyama as a friend, but he considered him a partner which i believe is more important to hinata. teammates/partners were always something Hinata wanted, as before he went to Karasuno, he didn't feel like his friends in Junior high were necessarily teammates. Meaning he valued Kageyama more because he was his partner.

(credits to triananero for these images) and when him and Kageyama started working together, they most definitely were perfect together, as they balanced each-other out, which made them become an unstoppable duo or whatever they called them 6. the fact that they have matching jersey numbers 9 and 10 moving on to less canon stuff, there is a light novel of Haikyuu called Haikyū!! Shōsetsuban!! which probably isnt close to canon but Furudate was a part of it even though it wasn't written by him, so it's at least somewhat official 7. anyway according to shipping wiki there is a chapter where Kageyama feels "fluttery feelings at the bottom of his stomach" when Hinata texts him, it's on volume 8 chapter 1, I REALLY WANTED TO SHOW YOU GUYS BUT I COULDNT FIND IT ANYWHERE ONLINE. i searched countless tumblr posts and websites but i could only find chapter five and chapter three so im fully convinced this is lost media LMAOOOO 8. also in Haikyū!! Shōsetsuban!! apparently there's a part where Hinata daydreams about him and Kageyama eating under cherry blossom trees i just found that cute AS MUCH AS I WANNA SHOW YOU GUYS I LITERALLY CANNOT FIND ANYTHING OF THIS LIGHT NOVEL ANYWHERE i just know it's real, if I ever get my hands on it which I doubt, I'll share proof it exists btw AND THIS IS REALLY RANDOM AND SOMEONE WANTED ME TO INCLUDE THIS BUT 9. Basically there was a ad for deodorant a couple years back, collabing with Haikyuu, where you could buy deodorants to “smell like them” or whatever, some shippers believe it’s a Kagehina reference as they also advertised Kageyama and Hinatas scents together as some like matching couple thing

are there any rvb fics you still think about all the time? like i dont think a week goes by without thinking abt qed and how it def changed me on a molecular level, do you have any fics like that?

oooh good question. the most important fic is at the bottom of this post so just scroll to the final paragraph if you only want one, true recommendation of the only rvb fic that really matters.

QED is fantastic though its more of @shotgunslap's thing than mine. the partner to that is also obviously QoQ, the only rvb fic ive been able to make almost all my friends read. i think about the south/north characterization every day of my life. caboose and carolina mean so much to me, etc etc. thats a pretty easy pick though so im cracking into my ao3 bookmarks to look for more niche picks.

i know there was actually a lot of rvb fic that was just posted to tumblr that i think ive gone back and tried to reblog at some points but i never organized it, i should have archived it, people who wrote good femslash and rvb women liked to just post it under a readmore on their tumblrlog and you have to go digging through decades old tags to find it now

okay. the big one i actually do still think about all the time forever and ever is saltsanford's stuff about epsilon/wash's relationship. this is the big one i still think about that centers on their backstory, but also, put my guns in the ground, which is one of the Big fandom tuckington longfics, also has such good washpilon stuff in it and they're so fucking juicy. when tucker asks wash how many times he's broken his ribs and he says four and epsilon says "actually it was five" before realizing How Bad of a Move that would be. Hello? Hello?????? i want them to be forced to reimplant and have weird mind brain trauma sex SO BAD sorry im normal. this is another one that takes place during/after the chorus era

on the spectrum of fics that i actually dont yet feel ashamed reccomending, primtheamazing, who wrote QoQ, also wrote some other good stuff. i am a HUGE fan of this fusion fic, the punchline to the tucker/caboose fusion is HYSTERICAL. this one where grif forgets who simmons is due to temple shennanigans and flirts with him is also very like. trope-y but i like that shit so this goes here too

ok. now onto the stuff that it is actively embarrassing for me to be recommending. but. prim's logrimmons fic is hysterical and was the stepping stone to creating the lolixgrimmons mind palaces with my friends so its worth it just for that. but also its really fucking funny. so is the one where locus has to listen to them have sex and gets himself caught

the truly embarrassing one for me to have here is the piece of softboy grimmons content i participate in. sadly i do enjoy s15 content sometimes for the softboy grif sensitive emotions exploration i will admit to being a hypocrite there and i really liked that one and reread it frequently (just realized this is written by the QED person so! you might already know of it)

and then finally. the most important red vs blue fanfiction of all time, guns are for shooting. it has it all. sarge. washington. sarge again. kismesisitude. grif and simmons acting like rosencrantz and guildenstern (are dead). locus being invisible and getting caught by lopez with a bag of flour. it's written by the person who wrote QED. i dont see how it would be any spoilers to say this, so ill just come out and do so already! one of the main background ships is geoff/gwen/bridgette. they are just so cute to me, and id like to make it clear the three of them are all dating each other. there is also going to be eva/izzy, of course; and owen/izzy (izzy has two hands). another ship im entertaining the idea of is possibly duncan/dj? but neither of those two are going to have much relevance to the story. actually, funny story, this was supposed to be an alejandro/noah/heather fic, but i totally forgot to tag it as such. im debating on if i want to keep it that way afterall, or have it stay just alenoah.. i guess we'll see the further i write. there is some others but those are a bit spoilery so, stay tuned..!

Wow! I really liked this message! I didn't know how important Annabeth was to some people. I like that someone shared this with me. Sometimes, I feel really bad for all the things I may have said about her, but I still wish she and Percy could go to a therapy or something and make their communication better because I can't see her undersestimating him sometimes. I'm almost crying right now. But it's the truth. Many people think my page makes no sense or is such a hypocrite. They are right and wrong. I know the April Fools episodes are jokes but it's kinda funny to analyze them Earth's nightmare seemed to be her fearing that she's a terrible person that everyone hates, dislikes, or avoids, her forgetting everything again, people not telling her things or keeping secrets from or about her, feeling powerless even to herself, losing Lunar(except for that last bit), being generally confused... And then Sun's, Sun's was all their enemies apologizing for everything they did, fixing whatever they screwed up, and disappearing, or in the case of the Creator dealing with Fazbear since Sun hates that company, and then Moon leaving after being weirded out, even Sun pointed out the sheer absurdity early on, maybe all of these incidents affect him subconsciously even more than he realizes, poor guy just wants some catharsis Earth and Sun telling one another about their weird dreams after the fact is something I could see happening too

ANON WE THINK THE SAME I WAS GONNA START THINKING TOO DEEP but I felt soo stupid but AA IM NOT ALONE!! for Earth- I guess is a mix of feeling guilty she "failed" Lunar- and fears she may be too focus on her family life she may not pay attention to Monty- also something about fearing you "did a terrible thing" and just feeling gaslited even when you know you didnt hits home.. her fear of maybe "being forgetfull and controled" may be the most obvious, yet is still interesting.. as.. for me, she gives me "hero complex" at times, thinking she is meant to be the one fixing ppl (even when I see ppl saying she never asked for this role) maybe because when made, she was mentioned as "the better version" so she goes by that.. ending up feeling both fake, try hard, yet afraid to fail and emotionally stressed out trying to be what ppl expected of her. so then- we see her fears, being seen as a bother, seen as someone to deal with rather than work with.. also, maybe is me, but she does kinda takes too hard her "brother" not wanting her in his date/celebration.. also going on over Solar "hating her" when the dude seems to be neutral with her.. that got me feeling odd, she takes simple soft push as "you hate me" .. no? they dont want you there, yet they still care to ask if you are ok.. what is she on about? (I know, is a nightmare, she is not meant to make much sense, specially as the emotional one she is.. I cant blame her too hard ) NOW SUN~ OHOHOHOHOHHHHHHH oh HE HE DOES SHOW SOO MUCH~ isnt it.. curious? of all the jokes they can make.. is ppl saying sorry ! what they show us? again, I expected actors or bloopers like other channel did! but.. now.. isnt it curous, right after he tells Eclipse to kill himself, he dreams of him saying sorry, sure, is clear Eclipse is not happy nor all sappy. not even wanting to be there with them any longer than BM did.. not saying "I hope im welcome back"-- nothing! Eclipse showed up, say his words, and choose to walk away, Sun is clearly weird out .. yet- clearly hoping to see the lie,, he doesnt, Eclipse lose more than he wins.. so Sun is left to wonder- was it true? he means it? we know Sun feared him. then hated him- has every reason to- yeeeet.. Sun has to know.. he is mad at the shell of how was a enemy. maybe having Eclipse saying sorry is the thing he needs to let go of this anger , just like Lunar did Lunar faced the big bad wolf- only to see a mere AI, broken and lost, lying to itself hoping to gain some sense of control over a life he cant even run away from.. Sun maybe needed to tell itself, via Moon "thats not the man that hurted you, thats the ghost of the past.. let it go" Moon is that side of him telling him to let go, and when things got too wild, his "reason" just had to leave- I feel thats when Sun stayed to yell, feeling too much stress confusion and cringe even (I have more to say but may do a post later on. idk) last joke video was not canon at all, yet this one is clearly tied to canon.. soo.. this has to mean something!! IM NOT LOOKING TOO DEEP YOU ARE ANON!

I hope my ramble isnt too long! but yea. I may explin myself better later on. just- I feel the fact this is DREAM and not an AU means a lot..

I already made a post compiling everything I hated about fanon akashi but Ill say it again.

People make him out to be some psycho who is obsessed with kuroko and hates everybody else. They give him no other personality other than scissors, tetsuya and being absolute as if he isnt so so much more than that.

Oreshi doesnt even exist in the heads of people who do this. But it has gotten much better over the years and most of the fandom has finally gotten a good grasp of hos character so thats nice.

This came at the perfect time cause Im actually working on a GoM as emoticons thingy(maybe a few other characters) so I might as well share my akashi emoticons. You can guess who is who.

AkaFuri tbh I see them more as best friends(Furi giving Akashi a taste of normalacy)

Romantic AkaKuro. I just feel like their relationship is so much more than romance. You cant describe their relationship with the word romance. I see them more as queer platonic partners.

18. How about a relationship they have in canon with another character that you admire?

Again cant decide between Nijimura, Mayuzumi and Mibuchi so Ill explain my thoughts on all.

Nijimura was one of the only people who treated akashi as what he truly was, a child. He took him out for snacks, guided him actually cared for him you know all the reasons why niji is the best senpai. And Akashi really did look up to him and enjoyed being vice captain under him.

Reo is another person who treats Akashi(both of them) with so much kindness and love. Even If Mibuchi didnt(probably) like akashi romantically he would still care about him just as much. Like Akashi is his baby he loves him so much. And Akashi loves Reo just as much which is obvious given how he comforted him for the foul during the RakuSei match.

MayuAka is defo one of my favorite duos in series. They are the canon light and shadow duo for Rakuzan. Mayuzumi brings the much needed normalacy in Akashi's life like lending him his light novels(on multiple occasions might I add). But he also encouraged Akashi(in his own sarcastic way) even if he wasnt obligated to for how akashi treated him during the match. He forgives Akashi when he apologizes even though he could have rejected it. And Akashi likes Mayuzumi too. He frequently invites him to matches and outings(more like doesnt give him a chance to say no)(this was in cross colors btw) and quite literally tricked him into spending time with the other shadows(takao and kuroko). I think their relationship is very unexplored in the bigger sections of the fandom. Ok this got way too long Im sorry.

19. How about a relationship they have in canon that you don't like?

His relationship with his father leaves a lot to be desired. Now I dont think that masaomi is a bad person per say but he is a horrible father with or without meaning to. He blatantly neglets Akashi during his childhood and in his teenage years. He doesnt allow Akashi to mourn the death of his mother and only pushes him further. Akashi is forced to live up to his unreal expectations his entire life.

Now I dont think he doesnt love Akashi, I think that Masaomi is a man who loved his late wife but does not know how to give his son the love he needs and deserves partly because it was also how he was raised. Their relationship is overall pretty toxic and I can only hope that they talk through their issues when Akashi is older.

20. Which other character is the ideal best friend for this character, the amount of screentime they share doesn't matter?

Honestly? Either Momoi or Takao.

Momoi is an insanely intelligent girl and If this wasnt already said this enough they would overthrow the world. AkaMomo friendship wasnt shown in the show because they knew it would be too powerful.

Takao is a positive and funny person. He is optimistic and one of his greatest strenghts is being able to make any situation funny. I know this has been mentioned before but both Takao and Akashi want to improve on something the other has(being a point guard for takao and being approachable and funny for akashi)

I think they would bring out the best in eachother. They would also make Midorima's life miserable which is a bonus.

There's nothing in the fandom that I particularly hate other than the people who hate her tbh. In all the fics Ive read she is pretty badass and cool.

But her haters istg. They either hate her cause they find her love for kuroko annoying or because she gets in the way of their gay ships or whatever(I absolutely despise when female characters are hated because they " get in the way of m/m ship")

They also dislike her because she body shamed riko but tbh her calling riko's boobs small is 100 times better than aomine kneeing his teammate in the gut dont you think🤨🤨

11. Would you date this character?

One word. Yes.

Momoi is such a sweet person overall, she is so nice and caring and kind. Yes her cooking sucks but I can cook well enough for the both of us. I know for a fact she would be a super affectionate girlfriend. Id be getting cuddles 24/7.

15. What's your favorite ship for this character? (Doesn't matter if it's canon or not.)

AoMomo no competition. The childhood best friends to lovers. Momoi literally being Aomine's ideal girl, Momoi not realising that she likes Aomine because she liked kuroko. Aomine always protecting her no matter what. The two of them being throught thick and thin with eachother.

I just love their relatioship whether or not it is platonic or romantic.

Marinette sighed and flopped on her bed as she threw her phone to her side. Meeting Jon Kent had been both luck and misfortune for her. One day, he was just a cute stranger she met after a boredom-filled night and then the next, they had accidentally found each others' identities when Superboy happened to pass by Paris.

She dragged out a groan. What on earth was Jon even thinking with that charade? They were facing a family of Kryptonians and detectives for crying out loud.

"What's the matter, Marinette?" Tikki flew in munching on her last cookie crumb.

"That was a very regretful groan."

She screamed when she saw her partner's head pop through her open skylight. A pillow was instinctively thrown at Chat, who dodged it effortlessly.

"What the hell are you doing here?" she glanced warily at her trapdoor, hoping her parents wouldn't come rushing in.

Chat dropped down on her bed and stretched. "Meowch. Can't I visit my dearest friend every now and then?"

"I think Marinette has a predicament," Tikki tattled as she nestled on top of Chat's head.

"Oooh, what predicament? Do share, M'lady."

Seven pieces of cookies, two more woeful groans and a story later, Chat was laughing out loud.

"You think this is funny?" Marinette scowled.

"I'm sorry," Chat wheezed, not at all sounding remorseful. "But you and I have read enough fanfiction to know where this is going."

"But this is not fanfiction. This is real life."

"And in real life," the black-clad hero sang, "Jon Kent likes you."

Marinette scoffed. It wasn't that easy of course. Jon was one charming smile after another, targeting her unsuspecting feelings while not knowing anything.

"So?"

"So. . .?" Chat cocked his head.

"What about Hawkmoth?"

"Him? I can take care of the city while you're out," he replied. "You go enjoy your little Christmas getaway while I—"

"Should we exchange our Miraculouses?" Marinette asked her kwami.

Tikki gave a half shrug, "I don't mind joining Adrien for a while."

"Yes! Two days with no cheese smell!"

The flight to America was uneventful, but the car ride to Kents' was. Jon had reminded her before and after her trip that he and Conner were picking her up. She'd lied to him over text, saying that she wasn't nervous at all, but her rapid-beating heart was betraying her.

And Plagg wouldn't shut up about it. And asking her for a charcuterie board at dinner.

She could only make a futile attempt to control her heartbeat in the old farm truck with two Superboys.

"Marinette, was it?" Conner smiled at her through the rearview mirror.

"Uh . . . Yeah." She squirmed. Jon squeezed her hand. She squirmed some more.

"By the way, Dad wanted to pick you up instead of Conner but he has dinner duties," Jon explained, "He told me to tell you."

"It's okay. I'm thankful he paid for the flight and everything."

"Jon told me you met online," Conner pressed, earning a frown from Jon. "He wouldn't elaborate."

"We just started off as chat buddies and the next thing I know we were getting closer and he asked me out."

"Hm that's interesting." A slight smirk popped up on Conner's lips. "Jon's never mentioned you before."

"This is exactly why," Jon pouted. "You'll scare her off."

A fake gasp. "Moi? I'm just a guy from Smallville. No one too special."

"Eyes on the road, Kon. And don't go too fast, this isn't your motorcycle."

"So how did Lois react when she found out?"

Marinette saw Jon shudder under his holiday sweater. "She was furious."

She paled. "Your mom got mad?"

"I should've seen that coming anyway, because I never told them." Jon raised his hands. "Not your fault, though! Mom's excited to meet you."

"How exactly did you meet?"

"Kon. Questions later. Focus on driving, jeez."

Marinette swallowed. If they had to pull off the act in front of Jon's family, she had to step up. "It's okay, Jon." She touched his arm. "We met in an online chatroom and we've been talking ever since."

"Tinder? Grindr?"

"Kon!" Jon's cheeks turned into a deep shade of red. "Can we talk about something else? What about you and Tim? Talk about that."

"Me and Tim?" Conner smiled widely, almost evilly. "You want to talk about us? Tonight we're going to make lo—"

"Okay, okay! Not that!" Jon raised his voice. He turned to Marinette. "Sorry."

She squeezed the side of her bag which was starting to shake from Plagg's giggles. "It's okay. I promise."

"You shouldn't have come—"

"Hey, no, we already agreed to this, didn't we?" Marinette smiled shyly. "We're doing this dinner."

Withholding a smirk, she laughed. "And it's not like I can fly back to France in a minute."

And to this, Conner's eyes widened as the car swerved sharply to another lane.

Lois Lane was first to tackle her as soon as she stepped through the front door. She stumbled back a bit, but managed to return the tight hug.

"Marinette! I'm happy you can make it." She turned her head briefly to the commotion behind her. "I have to apologize—we're not yet done with the preparations."

Marinette could see half of the Wayne family staring at her curiously from the kitchen. She pretended not to notice as Jon took her coat. "It's alright, Ms. Lane. If there's anything I can help with—"

"No, you're our guest! You can sit here first and the table will be set in a few minutes." The reporter hurried her to a comfy couch in the living area. "And please, call me Lois."

"Thank you . . . Lois."

Jon leaned down to whisper in her ear. "Dad needs me to help with a few things. Will you be okay on your own?"

She took his hand gently. "Of course. Go."

He gave her one charming smile before going. At the same time, others came filing in . . .

. . . And an arrow sailed past her head and into the wall.

"ROY!"

"That is my new—ow!"

A blue-eyed man snatched the small contraption from the archer, glaring at him pointedly.

"We have a guest, idiot." Another man strolled into the room.

Dick Grayson, Roy Harper, Jason Todd, Marinette made her guesses. Jon had already told her all about them, even going as far as to share their quirks and personalities. Nightwing, Arsenal, Red Hood.

"I am so sorry!" Roy's eyes went wide. "It was for my . . . Er—archery competition!"

Jason smacked him.

"Didn't we already tell you about this?" Dick hissed while pulling out the arrow from the wall.

Roy mumbled a response that Marinette couldn't make out.

"Really really sorry for that." Dick turned to her. "Are you hurt anywhere?"

"I'm good!" Marinette assured before their arguments worsened. "It didn't hit me."

"Good." Dick glared at Roy again. "I'm Dick, and these are Roy and Jason."

"It's nice to meet you," she smiled sheepishly.

"Guys, you're crowding around the poor girl." A woman in a wheelchair entered, and the others gave her space.

"Hi, I'm Barbara, you can call me Babs." The woman offered a welcoming smile which Marinette returned. At that moment, more people were ushered into the living room, by the Wayne's butler who was brandishing a spatula and muttering about banning them from the kitchen.

Marinette felt a chill down her spine.

There, at the corner of her eye, he was staring at her. Calculatingly.

Crap, he definitely recognizes me.

She pulled out her phone and sent a quick message to Jon.

The Kents and Waynes (read: Alfred) didn't disappoint with the food. Marinette realized how hungry she was when she gazed at the dining table.

"You have to try Ma's apple pie," Jon whispered next to her. "I bet your bakery can't compare."

"I'll be the judge of that," Marinette rolled her eyes. She settled next to Jon, across from Clark and Lois. Damian was diagonal from her, making it more difficult to avert her gaze.

After the setting of the table, passing of bowls, picking up of servings, Clark made small talk within the light chatter.

"So Marinette, what do you like to do?" Clark asked.

"Art. Designing," she replied, "Helping my parents bake."

"Oh come on," said Jon, "Marinette is a prodigy. She's been recognized by Gabriel Agreste and Audrey Bourgeois gave her an offer once."

"Big names in fashion," Bruce Wayne commented, sending Marinette into a blush, "That's impressive."

Jon piped up again before she could kick him under the table. "Her designs are amazing. And Jagged Stone regularly commissions her for concert pieces."

"Wagged Shtone?"

"Master Timothy, please don't talk while eating."

"You know Jagged Stone?!" Tim gaped at her after swallowing down his food.

"Jon's exaggerating." Marinette tucked her hair behind her ear, "It was just a few pieces for his concert."

"Don't downplay it, Mars, you're talented," Jon smiled gently.

"Looks like you're very proud of Marinette," said Lois.

"O—of course I am! She's my girlfriend after all."

"Well, I'm happy Jon brought a wonderful girl home," Ma Kent beamed, handing Marinette another piece of baked lasagna.

"Can you get me an autograph from Jagged?" Roy asked.

"Me first!" Tim cut in.

"I'd like one too," Kara joined in.

Marinette laughed nervously, "I'm sure I can get one for everyone." She glanced to her side. "Umm . . . Conner are you okay?"

He continued rubbing his shoulder. "Yeah, someone threw a tree at me too hard while we were collecting firewood."

An invisible tension (which Marinette purposefully ignored) swept across the room. Beside her, Jon spoke up. "Hey, I said I was sorry!"

Marinette furrowed her eyebrows, resisting a laugh when she saw the semi-panicked faces of the others. "Jon threw a tree at you?"

Tim conspicuously kicked Conner's leg below the table.

"A tree! Yeah!" Conner's eyes widened. "We collect tiny trees for firewood! Really tiny ones!"

"Oh. . .?"

"Please ignore him." Tim kicked his boyfriend again. "Mari, tell us about Paris!"

"Chilly night, huh?"

Marinette could've sworn she jumped to the ceiling as she yelped at the voice. She'd step out into the front porch to get some air as the families cleaned up after dinner inside. She didn't expect the girl who Damian had brought to come approach her.

"Yeah, really cold," Marinette saw her breath fog up. She hugged herself, feeling Rachel stare directly at her.

Rachel had been quiet during dinnertime, but she wasn't a forgettable presence. Marinette knew about her as well (even before she knew about the Kents) because of a mission (more accurately, a snooping errand) assigned to her in the past.

"Aren't you cold too?" Marinette rubbed her palms together.

"I do well with the cold," the girl replied. "Damian's been looking at you the whole night."

Yeah, I noticed that too.

"Really?" Marinette chuckled nervously, gazing elsewhere.

"Yes. It seems like he knows you."

"He must be mistaken . . ."

"He isn't." Rachel shook her head. "I'm not sure why he's suspicious but I trust you."

"Trust---huh?"

"I can feel that you're good. Lucky even." A light smile was on her lips. "You're good for Jon."

I thought the smell of cheese would've masked whatever luck Tikki gives me. "Thanks?"

"I'm coming back inside. You?"

"Uhh . . . I think I'll stay here for a bit."

With a nod, Rachel walked back into the warm house. Marinette released a sigh of relief. Confirming that Damian did recognize and remember her brought back memories.

She wasn't proud of her time in the League, but it wasn't something she can turn her back to either. Especially since she still had to be loyal to its heir. She let out another heavy sigh and—

"AHH!" In a surge of alarm, Marinette threw whoever was behind her over her shoulder. She was suddenly met with familiar green eyes.

"Oh . . . Amir . . . I'm so sorry!"

"It's good to know you still have your reflexes."

She winced as she helped Damian stand back up.

"I will go straight to the point. What are you doing here?"

"What do you mean?"

"Did my mother send you? Is the League looking for me?"

Marinette huffed. "Okay, first of all, that is an insult to Lady Talia. If she wanted to see you, she'd do it herself. Not send me to go undercover in a Christmas dinner."

Damian raised an eyebrow.

"Secondly, I'm not here for anything but Jon. Because I'm his girlfriend," she emphasized. "It's just a coincidence and I even hoped you wouldn't try to talk to me."

"So you have no business involving me?"

"I don't." She glanced warily through the window of the house, wondering if Jon (or any of the Supers) was listening. "Jon is . . . he's really important to me. I like him."

"Does that mean you know about . . .?"

"Yeah, all of it." She lowered her voice to a whisper. "But don't tell anyone. Jon and I are waiting to see how long we can mess with them."

"I see." Damian pursed his lips, putting on an expression that she knew meant that he was thinking deeply. "If Kent hurts you in any way, I have a stock of kryptonite."

"Uhm . . . Isn't it supposed to be the other way around?"

"No." A tight smile. "I . . . Apologize for misunderstanding. I just haven't seen you since the League fell."

"I'm just in Paris, Amir." Her shoulders sagged. "Trying to live normally. Sorry I haven't reached out."

"We should go back inside. You're shivering."

Marinette followed Damian into the house just as her phone rang. She sucked in a breath, read the message and met Jon's eyes from across the room.

He immediately went towards her and pulled her to the stairs, yelling, "We'll be in my bedroom, don't listen to us, okay, bye!"

Jon had offered to take her at first, but she declined to protect their cover. She had taken the Horse Miraculous and rushed back to the Kents' using the space power-up. On a day when she thought Hawkmoth wouldn't strike, he akumatized poor August again.

Marinette had exchanged Miraculouses with Chat during the battle. She sat on Jon's windowsill in her Cosmobug suit as she caught her breath.

"I'm really sorry," she breathed out. "Did they ask questions?"

"They think we're still locked up here so it's okay. How was the battle? Did you get hurt?" Jon scanned her for injuries.

She held his shoulders. "I'm okay. It was a quick fight but I was worried I wouldn't make it back in time."

He pulled her into a tight hug, eliciting another blush. "Sorry I made you stressed out."

"Hey, it's me returning the favor, remember?"

The first time they had met in person, Superboy was in Paris, encountered an akuma battle and accidentally found her identity. She'd made him promise not to tell anyone about what was happening in the city, but he promised to collect the debt.

"And I really enjoyed tonight. Everyone was nice." Marinette grinned. "If not a bit too obvious with their identities."

"Let me guess. Conner and Roy were the most careless."

She giggled. "No, I saw Bruce pocketing a Batarang and Clark reheating the chicken with his heat vision."

Jon laughed along with her, still not letting go from the hug. Marinette buried her face on his chest. I wish it would always be like this.

"I wish it could always be like this," said Jon.

"Hm?"

Her earrings started beeping but she paid them no mind.

"Like . . . Bringing you over. Spending time together," he mumbled. "but we can't. You're not . . . We're not . . ."

She swallowed. "Do you want it to be real?"

He pulled away a little, to look at her properly. "Do you?"

Marinette bit her lip. It wasn't the best time. It could strain their friendship. We'll never talk again!

"Yes, I want it to be real," she confessed. "I've . . . I've liked you for a while now."

His eyes turned bright and the corners of his lips lifted. "Really? Are you sure? Because I was scared you won't feel the same and I made it weird . . ."

Her arms looped around his neck as she mirrored the elated look. "Nope." Her lips lightly touched his cheek. "I like you a lot, Jon."

He was practically buzzing with excitement, which made her want to laugh. "Really? Like really, really?" He held her more tightly. "You want to be my real girlfriend?"

"Of course I do—"

The door clicked open. "MARINETTE! WE GOT YOU PRESENTS—!"

A wave of light flashed and Marinette felt her transformation wear off and a drowsy Tikki floating at her side. Conner, Tim, Dick and Kara were staring slack-jawed at them, crowded around the door.

Jon helped her down the windowsill. "Umm, we can explain?"
