get the game on itch.io
you can also get the game on game jolt or gumroad
Inspired by the cyberpunk allure of Honkai Impact 3rd, I embarked on a game dev odyssey to recreate the 'Fame Can Be So Troublesome' minigame from the 'Straying Stars' event. What started as a short journey extended to months of dedication—crafting assets, music, and coding from scratch. This adventure was filled with lessons, frustrations, and self-improvement, culminating in the debut of my humble tribute. While not perfect, it marks a promising beginning for future projects from aclypse in the ever-expanding universe of game development.

if you're curious about the challenges which aclypse encoutered while developing the game, be sure to check out the devlog on linkedIn
or soon there will be more insights on Ko-Fi (where you can also support the creator)

Introduction~
Who am I?
I am a second year cyber security student, avid writer, and aspiring indie game developer.
What do I do?
Whilst I mainly write fanfiction, I recently started developing a visual novel dating game based on the 2005 slasher movie House of Wax starring you!
What is House of Love?
House of Love will be my first ever visual novel game.
It is a dating game based on the horror movie House of Wax where you can romantically pursue the Sinclair brothers throughout the course of the game.
What will I be posting?
On this blog, I will be posting horror fanfiction, mainly House of Wax, and House of Love updates for those interested in playing the game.
Thank you for reading~!

Visit the official website to learn more about Outcasts of the Rift, sign up for the newsletter, follow the Kickstarter preview page and wishlist Outcasts of the Rift on Steam!
On Sunday ONLY, from 9:30 AM-11:30 AM, I will be hosting a live demo of Outcasts of the Rift in the game room at Furcationland! I may be able to keep my game set up for longer like I did last year, but I can’t guarantee that.
I won’t be hosting a raffle at Furcationland, but I may display my folder of concept art if I have the space.

Hello there! I just found your Tumblr account and wanted to say how much I absolutely adore Mythic Ocean. I played it a few years back, got a few friends into it, and have recently been thinking about buying it on my Switch to play again!
The art direction, character design, and overall gameplay themes surrounding morals and decisions with a colorful cast of gods and other friends are all so wonderfully done!
I think my favorite character would have to be Gnosis. Not because I agree with their sentiments, of course, but because I am such a sucker for "eldritch" entities that have such drastically different, often stubborn, mindsets from mortals and end up having horribly negative affects on them/their world- no matter how much knowledge they have. It's such an interesting character concept to me, as there's so many ways to go about such a thing!
Close favorites are definitely Amar, Elil, and Lutra. Though, all of the characters really have special places in my heart! I believe I actually have old art of Amar lying around in my files somewhere. I'll have to dig it up some time again, haha!
But I really just wanted to thank you and your team for creating such a passionate universe that is able to be explored by players! Mythic Ocean gives me a wonderful sense of happy nostalgia. :)
Tumblr media
Thank you @bl00dblight. Always means a lot when people not only find me, appreciate the game, but take the time to reach out. It's wild to me thinking that the word nostalgia would be used for Mythic Ocean, but it fits it somehow as we always wanted it to give a sense of exploration and becoming familiar over and over again with a found family. It's an honor to hear it gives you that wonder and nostalgia.
Would absolutely love to see that fan art!

Lonesome Village 1st Anniversary
Today marks the first anniversary of the launch of Lonesome Village.
Tumblr media
First of all, I want to clarify that this short blog post is not a postmortem of the game. Many people have asked us to write a postmortem for the game, however, this one is not it and we will be posting a postmortem in the future.
Okay, going back to the anniversary, I still remember the day we launched the game… A lot of nerves, anxiety, and doubts! We had a launch on Nintendo Switch, Xbox, and Steam. We had no idea about how would things go.
Being Indie as f*ck, the failure or success of the game would mark the future of Ogre Pixel studio...
Development of Lonesome Village took us around 2 years and 9 months, the worst part of the pandemic happened while we were working on the game.
We had a successful Kickstarter campaign and that surely helped to define the final form and scope of the game.
Tumblr media
Despite we didn't have a great launch, the game has been acquired constantly by players even to this day and that is something we are super happy and proud of.
Lonesome Village has allowed us to continue creating games and thanks to this is that last month (October 4th) we launched a new game titled A Tiny Sticker Tale.
So today is a great day to celebrate not only for us at Ogre Pixel, but for all the people who have supported the game in many different ways: funding, backing on Kickstarter, sharing the news, and of course, all the people who have purchased and played the game.
Tumblr media
The reason why this is not a postmortem yet is that there are still things to work on Lonesome Village!
Remember that we have the Nintendo Switch physical edition coming soon and another great news related to the game that we can't share yet!

Thank you!
