☰ Toji:
Being with Toji has always been a rollercoaster of emotions, but you never doubted his love for you, despite him being rough around the edges. Yes, he might disappear for days, sometimes weeks after a fight, but he never once lifted his hand or indicated that he would physically hurt you. If the fight was over something dumb, you would usually end up in the bedroom to get his anger out in a fun way while making up again.
You don't even know what started the fight today - was it the dishes he didn't do? Perhaps he left the laundry in the laundry machine? All you know is that you've been screaming at each other for well over an hour; your throat was already sore, but you wouldn't stop now. Toji was just beyond annoyed at your little tantrum, at least that's what it was to him. “I said I'd take care of it, didn't I? The day isn't over yet,” he tried the calm way at first, his jaw clenching in frustration when you screamed back how tired you are from work.
Things carried on like this for a while, Toji losing his cool after you screamed at him right away and he started to scream back until you were just throwing around profanities. At least until you said something you shouldn't have “No wonder your last two wives left you, you live like a damn pig." It wasn't too bad, but it was a sore topic for him and his hand raised… simply staying up in the air without ever connecting to your face, but it was enough for you to flinch away. Toji's jaw tensed up further, his teeth almost cracking from the pure pressure, when he realized what he almost did - crossing a boundary that should never be crossed and you look at him like he's a monster now. Perhaps he was and you were right, make it three wives, it's deserved now that his hand almost struck you.
Ever so slowly, he brought his hand down from its spot up in the air, trying not to startle you further when he reached to cup your cheek, the anger in his eyes turning to desperation. Out of reflex, you flinched from his touch, your body still in flight mode from almost getting struck by him and Toji recoiled his hand quickly while nodding to himself. The anger flamed up behind his eyes once again upon realizing just how badly he had messed up. Anger rose up and he couldn't contain himself any longer. “FUCK” he roared, making you stumble backwards just to get away from him before he punched a hole into the wall. You barely recognized the man in front of you since he'd never been this violent around you or directed at you. The thought of drawing a single breath of air scared you with him raging around and you simply held your breath, your entire body shaking like a leaf in a heavy storm, but before you found your voice again, he stormed out of your shared home, grabbing his coat on the way out of the front door.
Relief was the first thing you felt when you finally felt like you could exhale once again. The air was less tense with him out of the room and upon looking around your usually tidy kitchen, you saw the battlefield he'd left behind. The hole in the wall was gaping and your favorite candle holder, the one he gifted you simply because you thought the cat warming its paws looked so cute, was now on the floor and shattered into hundreds of small pieces. You didn't care much for the cushions laying around or the chairs scattered across the room, but you cradled the severed porcelain head of the small cat to your chest as you fell to your knees when the first wave of shock wore off. Toji has left. He's gone now and given how both of you crossed boundaries and he almost hit you, it didn't give you much hope for his return. A bitter laugh crossed your sobs when you thought of the small candle holder scattered and how it represented your broken relationship.
After what felt like an eternity on the floor, you had the courage to get up once again, slowly putting things back where they used to stand before picking up each and every piece of Tojis present. You needed to get your mind off of his departure, he sure would return - latest when he had to get his things - you told yourself, trying to calm the mess that was in your head. Dedicated, you brought the pieces to the living room, where his show was running as always, your favorite background noise in your daily life and piece by piece, you glued the little candle holder back together until it looked somewhat like it used to and it gave you hope - perhaps you could do the same to your relationship?
Once the distraction wore off, you found yourself sitting on the unusually empty couch, sitting in his favorite spot and the silence was deafening. The show stopped playing a while ago, Netflix asked you if you're still watching, and the tears started to form in your eyes once again. Perhaps he will be back soon? Your hope wore thinner with every hour that has passed, only hoping that he will come back eventually one day at this point. Sure, you've had worse fights with him, but it never got physical, this one felt much more charged and intense like all the others before, so perhaps he's sick of the constant fighting, sick of you…
Slowly, you sunk your face into the pillow on the couch and brought your knees to your chest as you wept. His show was now playing once again to bring you at least a little comfort as you drifted off into a restless slumber, the moment where he almost struck you, replaying in your head over and over again.
Toji wandered around the block at first, contemplating getting drunk out of his mind and simply disappearing out of your life forever since he has nothing to offer you but his heart and body, but now he wasn't sure if that was enough - if he was enough and he hated these thoughts. He could have any woman he wanted, so why is he so damn attached to you? Answers didn't come by as he sat down in the park and gulped down a cheap beer, but the longer he sat there, the more reasons he found just why he was with you and how you made him feel things no one managed to ignite in so long. It was clear to him that he would need to go back, that he would need to fix things with you, for his own sake because he'd be lost without you once again.
By the time Toji got up from the old bench at the park it was almost morning already. The birds were chirping softly in the trees and he took a deep breath in, preparing himself to lose you once and for all since he couldn't force you to forgive him after all, but he would promise to be better. He vowed to be a good partner and later on to be a good husband to you and not once did he make you regret trusting him since he was always nothing but good to you. His posture was slightly slouched when he entered the apartment, ready to find the mess he left behind in the kitchen, but it looked as if nothing ever happened here - aside from the hole in the wall that felt like a plow to his guts. That could have been your face, the realization setting in once again over what happened and how badly he damaged the trust in this relationship with his cowardly reaction.
Shaking his head at his thought, he made his way back to the door, only to be met by your weak voice somewhere behind him. “Toji?” was all you asked, your voice sounding tired and so fragile from hours of crying and he flinched, dreading your next words. “Don't leave… please,” You continue and sit up now to look at him. “I'm just here to get my thi- you want me to stay?” He sounded rather surprised that you didn't send him out, cussing him and his entire bloodline out as he got his things. Toji was so prepared for rejection that he didn't even consider you would want him to stay, but you did, so he dragged himself over to the couch where you sat, waiting to face him. Your bloodshot eyes shocked him, have you been crying all night over him? Over the situation, or perhaps the divorce you surely wanted?
“I'm sorry,” was all that he croaked out, his ego crushed and the confidence that usually radiated off of him was entirely gone. He was nothing but a miserable pile in front of you in this moment. It took you a minute or two to fully register his words - his apology and you simply nodded, knowing he wasn't great with words, especially apologies. Silence fell upon both of you once again, unsure how to go on from here. Both of you were uncomfortable with the situation, but you were the first to find your words again, having spent the night thinking about what you wanted and ultimately what you would say to him. But right now, this was all thrown out of the window when you looked at him and reached out for his hands, trying to show that you're no longer scared.
“Listen to me. If you ever raise a hand to me again, Toji Fushiguru, I will cut out your heart and eat it for breakfast. Do you understand me?” You asked with a much more secure voice and it almost scared him because he knew you took that threat seriously, but a smirk tugged at the corner of his lips now. “That's my wife,” he chuckled a little, wondering if he extinguished your flame with fear, but you weren't one to crumble, not from him or his foolish actions.
Unasked Toji whisked you up into his strong arms and carried you to the bedroom, refusing to let go of you for even a second as he smothered you between his arms and chest. Things weren't okay and they won't be for a while, but at least you knew that he was willing to work on himself and that you were willing to stay, so things could be alright again one day.

☰ Yuuta:
You were always Yuuta's first priority and he never failed to make it clear that you knew that there's no one and nothing more important to him than you. Yet he had to save the world as usual, exorcizing a curse here, helping out there and more often than not, you found yourself alone in your shared home, talking limited to texts and phone calls. He tried his hardest to make sure you're always on his mind, even if he's not physically with you, especially then, but you slowly felt like this wasn't the case. It felt like he was running away from home, from you to be alone, to be with Rika rather than you for the old days sake.
This gut wrenching thought became especially painful when you ran into him in the grocery store when he claimed to be on the other side of the world and not in fact in the same grocery store or even the same city. You didn't want to cause a scene, not there out of all places, so you abandoned your shopping cart and walked out, ignoring the hurt puppy look from your boyfriend. Dropping the chocolates he held previously, he charged after you, “Wait, please. Let me explain!” He called after you and caught up with your rather fast pace, but you didn't pay any attention to him, fearing the worst.
And sometimes your own mind can be the worst enemy, as you now convinced yourself that Yuuta was leading some sort of double life, a secret life hidden away from you and you didn't want to see his face a second longer. When the young man held onto your wrist to get you to stop running from him, it felt as if your skin was burning. You quickly tugged your hand out of his grasp and glared at him. “Stop causing a damn scene, Okkotsu,” you hissed under your breath and Yuuta knew he was in trouble by the way you only used his last name, so much venom behind your words. All he wanted to do was surprise you with your favorite flowers and some sweets since he was home almost an entire week earlier and he didn't understand the tantrum you were throwing at that moment. Yes, he did lie to you and told you he wouldn't be home for at least another five days, but he was already on his way back to you, his home. Was he wrong that he wanted to surprise you just to have you jump into his arms five days earlier than initially planned?
The walk home was awkward and silent, the air around you two was charged with strong emotions and unspoken words - words none of you dared to speak until the front door to your apartment was closed and you whipped around, facing him with an expression full of anger and hurt. “Why did you lie to me? Am I not good enough for you anymore?” You immediately asked, letting your inner fear take over instead of trying to think rationally, but Yuuta immediately shook his head. “It's not like that, I promise!” His voice was rather submissive, hating to have fights with you, especially for the dumbest reasons, but you couldn't contain your anger, your presence alone made him take a step back. He knew you would never lay a hand on him, but the air around you was so thick that he feared to suffocate if he couldn't keep some distance. “Don't come at me with that bullshit, Yuuta. You promised not to lie to me and here you are… avoiding me despite being back. Do you have someone else? Do you miss Rika so much that you can't bear to be with me?” You questioned, taking steps towards your boyfriend despite his silent plea to keep distance. It's unfair of you to bring Rika up in this situation, both of you knew this, but you didn't care. The way he was always talking about her started to gnaw at your heart, slowly building a deep insecurity that you're just someone he settled for because he couldn't have the one he wanted. Perhaps he found a better replacement? That was your initial thought when you saw him smiling to himself at the grocery store. Little do you know, he was thinking about your gleeful smile when he came home early.
Yuuta barely opened his mouth after what felt like an eternity of silence when he reached for your hands, hoping you let him explain, hoping you calmed down enough to start thinking rationally. “Please, just listen, okay?” He started, his voice small since he didn't want things to escalate, fearing to lose you as much as you fear the same. You were his anchor, his safety vest out in the ocean that kept him afloat when everything was against him. He made the mistake of touching you, trying to get closer to you when you were so charged and it made you feel crowded, pushing him off of you, so he let go of your wrists. He would have let go if only you had asked, showing him he makes you uncomfortable, but before he could stop it, it was already too late.
Rika pushed you away from him much harsher than he would have ever allowed and he recoiled, backing away from your curled up body after you were sent flying against the wall, several feet behind you.
The sight of your body on the floor and the little noise you let out upon the collision shattered his heart. Sure, Rika just wanted to protect him from harm, but you would have never seriously hurt him and he was in shambles, trying to figure out what to do now that one of his biggest fears had become a reality. It took you a few seconds to realize what had just happened. You were just sitting up and blinking at Yuuta, who looked paler than usual, his body frozen to the spot as he watched you with wide eyes. The way you looked around made him aware of how dizzy you must feel since your head hit the wall - at least there was no blood on your hands when you checked the back of your head reluctantly.
“Yuuta?” You asked him as you teared up, knowing that it was just an accident. The young man snapped out of his trance-like state upon hearing your voice, softly asking him for comfort, but he couldn't give that to you, not if he was the one who hurt you in the first place.
His head snapped around, looking for a way out of here. Perhaps he could jump out of the window, or is it too high? The sound of his heartbeat picking up was deafening, the only thing he heard in that moment and it only fueled the anxiety further. But it was you utterly desperate voice calling out to him once again that snapped him out of his fight or flight reaction. Panicked eyes finally looked at your teary ones and his body reacted on its own. Without a further moment passing, he dropped to his knees beside you and cradled your body in his arms, holding you close. You knew he didn't hurt you and it was just a reaction from Rika, so you weren't angry, but your body still hurt as you wept into his embrace, your body trembling with each sob that wrecked through it. “I'm so sorry, my love,” kept falling off his lips like a whispered mantra as he gently rocked you back and forth in his arms in hopes that it's enough to call both of you down - even if it's just a little bit.
Hours later, neither of you had moved. You were still cradled in Yuuta's lap, arms wrapped securely around you and he still looked at you as if he had just broken the most valuable thing he ever owned. “I’m sorry that I made you angry.” You eventually broke the silence that just felt heavy to you, but he quickly shook his head. “Don't..." It's not your fault I lost control,” he began and kissed your temple, his lips resting against your delicate skin for a moment before you felt them move as he continued to speak. “I should have told you I'm home earlier, the flowers would have been a surprise regardless, I'm sorry I made you doubt my love for you,” he whispered against your temple, earnest regret in his voice. Yuuta knew he was gone too much lately and if the roles were reversed, he would have had doubts as well, so he couldn't blame you.
Unsure how to answer, you nod softly and your hands clutch onto him just a little tighter. “We will make things better,” you eventually mumble, reassuring the both of you that despite what has happened, things will be okay again and you can work past this accident.

☰ Inumaki:
You never felt scared or threatened by Inumaki, he was always more than sweet to you and despite his cursed speech, you never feared anything. He fell in love with you the day he found out you learned sign language for him and he hasn't left your side ever since. You two were inseparable to the point that his friends automatically spoke of both of you instead of just an individual and it was you who understood his few words better than anyone.
Laughter echoed through his small apartment when he pinned you to the bed with just one hand, the other traveling down to your sides to tickle you. Your laughter was one of his favorite noises, your smile his favorite sight and he wished he could tell you, scream out how much he loves you, but he would never dare say such things out loud, scared it manipulates you somehow and you're with him against his will. This was his worst nightmare, one that often haunted him at night and he woke up distressed while frantically searching for his phone. It's the same over and over again. “You're with me because it's what you want, right?” He texts and awaits your answer as he picks the skin on his fingers anxiously. “I’m with you because my heart chose you,” you tell him every time before his phone even unlocks, already knowing what plagues his handsome head.
Your sweet giggle brought him back to the little play fight you two just had and the way you were trying so hard to overpower him despite knowing you would never succeed. This thought never scared you, since you knew he would never use it against you or hold you down when you didn't want it. It was all just playful banter until he wanted to catch your wrist after you freed it but miscalculated, sending his hand right against your cheek with such strength that the slap echoed off the walls, followed by your whimper. You didn't need to push him off of your body, Inumaki got up right away and the tears that started to form in your eyes caused him to panic slowly. He frantically tried to sign “I'm sorry, it was an accident” over and over, but it felt like his hands were knotted up by the speed and you didn't look at him, turning away as the tears started rolling down your cheeks. You weren't mad at him, knowing it was an accident, but it still hurt you - the tears were only a reaction of your body to the stinging pain that traveled through your face.
But the way you refused to even look at him frustrated the young man and despite his efforts to get your attention, you simply rose from the corner of the bed and left the room. Of course he was chasing after you, tapping you, holding your wrist, whining… He tried so hard to get just a sliver of your attention when you clearly didn't want to give that to him right now and he felt wrongfully punished. “Stop crying and come here.” These words slipped past his lips with such desperation, he couldn't even stop himself before saying them out loud and his hands slapped over his mouth the second he realized what he'd done.
No matter how hard you tried to stop yourself, your body acted on its own accord as the tears dried and your feet walked over to him. Your face was one of utter shock and betrayal that he would do this to you, accident or not.
Inumaki pulled your body close and held you in a tight embrace, despite every fiber in his body screaming not to do it. It felt so wrong to him, but he needed you to forgive him for accidentally hurting you and for putting you through manipulation. When he pulled back, he was met with a face full of hurt and anger, which he deserved. “Please hit me back. We can be even,” he signed once, twice… but you looked away, pinching the bridge of your nose as you took a step back to put some space between the white haired man. You wanted to scream and explode at him, but you collected yourself and looked at him with a cold expression. “Can you just stop?! I don't care that you hit me,” you started but lost your cool quickly and it came out more snappy than intended. “We were play-fighting, it happens. But you can't just crowd me and demand I do things… and you surely can't fucking manipulate me!” Your voice rose in volume at the last part since this hurt you more than the accidental hit to your face.
Inumaki looked at you like a kicked puppy, his eyes big and his face sinking into the collar of his sweater further so he could hide. He was beyond ashamed for his actions and didn't want to speak, the desperation clouding his mind and forgetting for just a split second that his words have immediate consequences and despite his best effort to not speak, he can mess up.
With trembling hands, he started signing apologies, begging for your forgiveness over and over until his shoulders started trembling and in a last effort, he signed words that were unclear, but you knew what he meant. “Please hold me." You whispered as he signed it and sighed. Realizing that he's more affected by this than you are and that he really had no malicious intentions, you pulled your lover close, comforting him and yourself as his arms wrapped around you tightly, hands clutching to the fabric of your shirt. "Love,” he mumbled out, knowing this one word wouldn't make you do anything, but it was the first time you heard him say that he loves you out loud. “I love you too,” you whispered back, your cheek still aching from the way his hand slipped, but right now your heart needed healing from the betrayal of getting manipulated. Both, you and Toge were sure that this was a cut in your relationship, but the bond you share will act as a bandaid and you will be okay again, especially since he will be even more careful now.

Secrets- {Inumaki Toge}
Tumblr media
Let’s make one thing clear, you have a twin! The only reason why it may not seem that way is because you have light grey colored eyes and he doesn’t thanks to your cursed technique. And you wore your hair long while Hiro, wore his hair short. He does not posses the same abilities you do so while you’re studying at Jujutsu Tech he’s at a regular school in Tokyo. Whenever you’d have free weekend you’d spend them in Tokyo with your him since you are a good ways away from home.
This lead to many of your arguments with Toge. Probably the most trusting thing would not be able to fully communicate with him whenever you’re trying to express your feeling. Especially with Toge, he gets so upset when he’s trying to tell you something and because you two mostly talk through text you never understand.
Sitting in the cafeteria you were eating with Maki and Panda when your phone started to ring suddenly, looking at the contact you jumped up not noticing your boyfriend coming up to you, you dashed out the room.
“Hello?” You answered with excitement, “I’m outside the gate.” Your brother spoke with a monotone voice and before you could even chirp out a reply you ran out of the corridor and towards the entrance gates seeing your brother standing there with his duffel bag strapped to his back. “HIRO!!” You shouted jumping into his arms, he’s used to this greeting every single time so he opens his arms wide for you quickly engulfing you in a tight hug.
“When you said you were coming I didn’t really believe you.” You said as he set you back down on the ground. “You always come to Tokyo so it was my turn to make trip.” You smiles at his admission and pulled him in for a hug. “I don’t mind making the trip Hiro.” You replied pulling away and slipping your hand into his. He followed you to your dorm room and you showed him around for the rest of the day.
You felt like one of those college tour guides because he asked so many questions any chance he got. Because you’d been distracted all day with your brother you never checked your phone to see if anyone texted you or not.
Silent boy💕: I tried to talk to you earlier
Silent boy💕: where have you been? You even missed training.
Silent boy💕: do you want to hang out in my room?
Silent boy💕: y/n?
The next few days came and they were filled with almost the same things, showing Hiro what you weren’t able to show him yesterday. He was starting to really like the school, it was like he wanted to join even though he wasn’t going to fit in. For obvious reasons.
The two of you walked into the cafeteria and made your way over to the sandwich line to pick out the ones you both wanted. Maki, Panda and Toge noticed you walk in but their attention wasn’t on you it was on the 6’4 male whose literally the complete opposite of you with piercings and tattoos standing right next to you.
“Woah! Who the hell is that? He almost looks scarier than Okkotsu!” Panda said with his mouth wide open, “Tuna.” Toge responded and Maki scoffed keeping her gaze focused on the two who have yet acknowledged their existence.
Setting your drinks down on a table you sat down using the napkin to wipe the area then throwing away returning back to your seat. The moment you sat down a small figure stood infront of you, Toge. You smiled opening your mouth to speak, “Hi! Toge.” “Mustard Leaf.” He said and you cocked your head to the side in confusion.
“TunaMayo.” He said pointing to his phone and as you went to unlock it Hiro placed the tray full of food next to you. You locked your phone and dropped it on the table completely ignoring Toge who was feeling blocked out by his own girlfriend.
What made it worse was the fact that your smile was bigger and brighter talking to this guy he didn’t know. “Toge! This is-” you stopped abruptly when you saw that he was gone. “Who was that?” Hiro asked taking a large bite out of his sandwich then blushing at how good it was.
“My boyfriend.” “He’s short.” You slapped his arm in disagreement, “That’s rude. No he isn’t. He’s average height.” You crossed your arms looking over at the table with Maki and Panda and a now empty spot that Toge sat in. “You know saying things like ‘average height’ is embarrassing right.” Standing up out of your seat you slapped him in the back of his head making him choke on the sandwich before walking over to your friends.
“Look who decided to speak.” Maki said in a jealous tone, “sorry, I would love to introduce you guys to my twin brother.” They both immediately stood up and followed you back over to the table where Hiro was still stuffing his face with his sandwich. “Stand up.” You said pinching his arm, he sprung up and bowed down. “My name is L/n Hiro! Twin of L/n Y/n. Age-” you covered his mouth while kissing your teeth together.
“You gonna give them your social security number too?” He rolled his eyes and shook each of their hands properly greeting them this time. “Where’s your boyfriend?” Hiro asked and you looked around the cafeteria knowing damn well he wasn’t in here but you had hope. “He left. He was upset about something, kept mumbling bonito flakes.” Maki stuck her finger in her ear seemingly uninterested in the conversation.
Panic started to rise and you were about to walk away to go find Toge but there was a large 6’4 reminder now chowing down on your sandwich you had failed to take a bite out of. “Maki, Panda have you trained at all today?” You asked clasping your hands together, they shook their heads no giving you the perfect excuse. “Great, train with Hiro.” Without waiting for a reply you left the room taking a beeline towards the dormitory.
You knocked on the door and waited a few minutes for him to answer but there was nothing. You knocked again this time a little harder and the door swung open, you were met with a glare you’d never seen before and to say you were nervous was an understatement. “Baby…” “bonito flakes.” He quickly cut you off ready to close the door but you stopped him with your head pushing against the door.
He pulled his phone out and started typing something, it took a whole minute before he pressed send on a message then looked up at you waiting for you to pull your phone out and read his text. “I left my phone in the cafeteria…” he sighed and lifted his phone to show you.
I’ve been doing some thinking and I think we should take a break… your heart dropped, snatching the phone out his hand you continued to read the message. I feel like you’ve been keeping things from me even though we’ve been dating for three years now. I don’t feel like we’re on the same page and honestly you don’t need to be in a relationship right now. I can’t keep playing the secrecy game with you and I’m tired, this whole week was just the cherry on top for me. I don’t want to be with you if your like this, you barely even acknowledged me this week….I’m sorry. I’ve never broken up with someone so I don’t know what exactly to say.
“Why? If you want to know who that guy is-” “bonito flakes.” He responded and slammed the door shut and you knew he was serious because you heard his door lock. The tears that you were holding back slid down your cheek staining your shirt with sadness. “I’m sorry.”
You quietly said walking away from his door and out of the dorm hall. You walked out onto the field seeing how the now pouring rain was soaking the area just like your shirt. Your attention was stolen when you saw Hiro running around seemingly looking for something, once his eyes locked on yours he ran over to you and immediately grabbed your shoulder to look at you. “You’re going to get sick, let’s go back to my room so you can clean y-yourself off.” You struggled to not make your voice stutter.
“I saw the text. You really have a bad habit of leaving your phone everywhere.” His joke failed to make you laugh, even worse smile. Your body flopped onto his chest and your tears started to over flow, you gripped his wet shirt so hard that your knuckles were white. “I l-love him so much…I lost him, he h-hates me,” you whined out crying harder into his already soaked shirt.
“Just tell him.” “I can’t.” Hiro placed his hand on your head and rubbed it trying to calm you down. It didn’t work, you cried for a whole twenty minutes until you passed out, and because he had no clue where your dorm was he sat on the ground outside with you asleep on his lap. Using his hand to cover your face from the rain he stared out watching the storm get stronger by the minute.
Another ten minutes passed and the door to the building next to him opened up and an unfamiliar face stepped out. It was Toge, he couldn’t recognize him at first because of the rain. “Can you help?” Hiro asked almost on the verge of tears, “Salmon.” Hiro follwed behind Inumaki into his room gently setting you down on the bed like he instructed. He sat with his legs crossed in front of the bed waiting for you to wake up, Inumaki handed Hiro a towel and was about to leave when Hiro spoke up.
“Y/n killed our parents.” “Mustard Leaf?” Toge asked, Hiros gaze never left your unconscious sleeping figure. “It happened when we were three, Y/n and Hiro aren’t even our real names... They were abusing us, me mostly especially because I had no cursed techniques. I can’t even see curses but Y/n could. They would beat the shit out of me daily and what made it worse was because I looked to girly. Long eyelashes, long hair, pretty eyes… that’s part of the reason we look so different now.”
Hiro lifted his finger up to his eyes and pulled out the contacts that were inhabiting his eyes for years. He turned towards Toge showing his the light grey eyes he’d been hiding. “Back then I was really timid and Y/n had horrible anger issues that no child should’ve had. One day she just snapped and used a kitchen knife to stab them to death, then used her technique to cover it up. I’ll never forget that gruesome fucking day…” He paused looking down at the ground and gripping his head in frustration.
“She hides a lot of shit because she was traumatized after that. But she got better when she met you, you made her happy. And that fake smile she was putting on wasn’t so distraught anymore. I’m not expecting you to take her back just understand why she did what she did.” The two of them sat in silence after Hiros confession waiting for you to wake up.

It had been a few months since Toge stumbled into your clinic the second time, and the two of you had been texting practically every day. There were times when you’d text back and forth for hours and then there were times it would take one of you a few hours to respond, but every time you saw a message from Toge you’d light up. Toge was special and he made you feel special. Especially with the way he’d text you good morning and goodnight without fail. In the time you’d been talking, he never once forgot. You’d been happier since Toge came into your life.
“Well you seem extra cheerful today.” Misuzu says, pulling you from your thoughts. She had invited you over for lunch and you could never turn that down.
“What do you mean?” You say as you trace the ring of your glass with your finger. Misuzu smiles at you as she sets your bowl down in front of you. She had made your favorite soup. You give her a nod of thanks.
“Just like there’s something extra special going on with you.” Misuzu says as she sits across from you. “If I didn’t know any better, I would say there’s someone special in your life.”
You almost spit out your soup. Swallowing the contents in your mouth down slowly, you try to regain your composure.
“Not quite sure if I know what you mean.” You say looking down and swirling your soup with your spoon trying to buy some extra time.
“Hm.” Misuzu eyes you carefully. “Tell me about the lucky person.”
Your thoughts are immediately consumed with Toge and you can’t help but smile.
“His name is Toge. He’s really sweet.” You say before taking another spoonful of soup.
Your mind flashed back to his good morning text from this morning. It ended up being one of those memes with a cat, a bunch of hearts that had “good morning” typed across it. He sent lots of different memes, some of them cute like the one from this morning and some of them were completely stupid, like the one he had sent you yesterday. It was a picture of a cat that looked like it was meowing, but it had been over edited to make the cat look like it was screaming. Despite calling him a “dummy” and telling him how unfunny it was, you laughed. Toge was constantly making you laugh with his memes and his dumb jokes. The two of you constantly traded jokes back and forth. Your mind flashes back to one of your conversations.

i’m not mad you dummy
i just can’t believe you rickrolled me again
I’m just good like that ;)
Through texting Toge you learned quickly that he was a complete goofball. It was total contrast to how he had been when you first met him, so serious and quiet. The last few months you had become fond of Toge. You looked forward to seeing his good morning texts and hearing about the silly things from his day. You liked Toge a lot. There was something about him that ?, every fiber of your being. You knew what was happening, but you weren’t going to admit it. Not yet.
“Well, he must be really something special. He’s got to be to keep up with you.” Misuzu says, pulling you back into reality. “When can I meet him?”
You spoon more soup into your mouth, so you have a moment to think before answering.
“I’m not really sure.” And that was the truth. “Toge’s a teacher and he’s quite busy with his students.”
It was all true. Toge had finally told you he was a teacher, one night when the two of you were telling each other about your days. At first you thought he was joking, because what teacher stumbles into a clinic coughing up blood? You made a joke about him being in a gang again, but Toge insisted he was in fact a teacher and you shrugged it off, not bringing it up anymore.
“Ah, okay. Well I would love to meet him.” You nod as you finish up your soup.
“I’ll see what I can do.” You say honestly. You hadn’t seen Toge since the night you gave him your phone number. You never pushed it, but you did really want to see him again. Especially since it had been so long since the two of you saw each other.
“It’s so nice to see someone taking care of you. You do so much for others, Y/N. You really do deserve the best.” Misuzu says. You quickly become embarrassed and change the subject.
Misuzu and you spend more time talking about different topics and then you take the time to help her clean up. You’re putting the dishes away when you notice Misuzu wincing as she moves.
“Is there something wrong, Miss M?” You ask, turning to face her. She shakes her head and waves you off.
“I’m fine, I’m fine. I’m just old now.” She says. You watch her carefully and notice she’s wincing more.
“Are you sure? You could come down to the clinic and I could just take a quick look at you.” You say. She waves you off again.
“I’m okay. Now come here. There’s something I want to show you.” She says gesturing you over to the couch. You follow and sit next to her.
“This is something, I’ve been keeping for awhile. I’ve been waiting to give to you. I think it’s finally the right time.” Misuzu says rummaging through a basket. She pulls out what looks like a scrapbook and sits down next to you.
“Is this what I think it is?” You ask carefully, taking in the scrapbook. Misuzu nods.
“Probably that and more. I’ve been collecting pictures of you since you were just a little thing. I’ve been piecing it together since the first time I met you. Not only does it have pictures of you, but all the stories I told you, all your favorite recipes. It’s all here.” She says tapping the book. You feel your eyes beginning to fill with tears.
“Oh, Miss M. That’s beautiful. Thank you.” You say giving her a hug. The tears begin to fall as you're holding her. You don’t ever want to let go, but eventually you do.
“Here, let me show you a few of my favorite parts.” Misuzu says opening the scrapbook.
The two of you spent time going through the scrapbook, reminiscing over all the different moments you spent together. Different moments in your life. It was made to perfection. You were sad when you finally had to leave so that, Misuzu could get her rest. You wanted to go over every single detail about it with her, but the two of you could do that another time. Until then, you propped up on your couch examining each page. You’re finally snapped out of your trance when your phone buzzes.

I haven’t heard from you all day. Everything okay?
〜(><)〜
You let out a small giggle and reply.
all good. spent the day with Miss M and she gave me a scrapbook with pics from when i was little
Toge replies immediately.
Little y/n? I bet you’re adorable. Care to share?
You shake your head, but flip through the scrapbook. You knew just the picture to send him. You were in Misuzu’s kitchen while she was teaching you how to make rice balls. How coincidental had that been? Toge loved rice balls and there you were making them. You quickly snap a picture and send it to him.

Just like I thought: adorable. Bet the ones I make taste better though :p

Care to share?
maybe one day
I’m looking forward to it ♡
You sit for a moment, fiddling with your phone in your hands. You wanted to ask him the question that had been tucked away at the back of your mind since the last time you had seen him, but things had been going so well and you didn’t want to ruin them by bringing it up.
toge
can i ask you a question?
Of course
Your fingers hover before typing.
do you like talking to me?
Absolutely not.
I just spend all my free time texting you because I hate talking to you
That was sarcasm btw
I love texting you. Talking to you is the best part of my day. I’d spend every second of the day talking to you if I could. You’re really special Y/N. Special to me.
you mean that?
Every word.
i wanna see you again
Toge doesn’t reply immediately, like he normally would. Instead you watch as the typing bubble pops in and out of the chat. After a few minutes you get a response.
Are you being serious?
You contemplate for a moment. You and Toge had been texting back and forth playfully since that fateful day. The two of you had even been flirting now and then. He had taken a hold on you in the last few months. If you were being honest, Toge had, had a hold on you since the day he stumbled into your clinic. Of course you wanted to see him again. You type your reply without hesitation.
yes.
For awhile there’s no response. You don’t even see the chat bubble indicating that he’s typing show up. Finally, after what feels like an eternity, you see the typing bubble show up and then a message.
I’m not sure if I can do that.
You felt a part of your heart break as you read over the words. Once. Twice. Three times. You hadn’t even realized your eyes were filled with tears until you felt them on your thumbs. You go to wipe away the tears on your face, but it’s pointless because they keep falling down. The tears were staining your phone and you did your best to wipe them away.
okay
After you send the message you turn off your phone and then everything that's been building up hits you all at once. You’re crying. Choking on sobs as you’re trying to make sense of what you had just read. I’m not sure if I can do that. The words danced throughout your mind over and over again. There was something about those words that hit you. Part of you had known there was no guarantee you’d see Toge again, not with him being secretive about whatever it was he was hiding. But you still held out hope that maybe, just maybe you’d be able to see him again. That message just served as confirmation that it wasn’t going to be possible to see him again. All that time you had spent growing close to him felt pointless. All the different conversations you had together flooded your mind and you only cried harder. You wrapped your arms around yourself, trying to give yourself a sense of comfort, but your head drifted to thinking about Toge wrapping his arms around you. You buried your face into your blanket and just cried, and cried, and cried.
The next morning you awoke with a throbbing headache. You rub your temples, trying to soothe the pain when the memories from last night come rushing back. Oh right. It hadn’t just been a nightmare. You shake your head, trying to push the memories away, but you’re reminded of the pain from your headache and wince. You sigh and make your way to the bathroom, so that you can take some pain medicine for your head. You take the medicine and sit on the floor waiting for it to kick in. Once the medicine finally kicks in, you move to the kitchen to get yourself a glass of water. You chug it down, starting to feel a bit better. Your thoughts drift back to the night before and Toge’s words. I’m not sure I can do that. You had known there was no certainty in seeing him again, but you had let yourself hope. And part of you still had hope. It wasn’t like he had said absolutely not, I never want to see you again. He had just said he was unsure, which still hurt, but not as much as no. You were starting to feel better about the situation. Maybe you had overreacted. You’d text Toge later to talk about things more. Your head feels like it’s starting to clear and then you look at the time. Your eyes widen.
“Shit. I’m late.” You mutter to yourself. You move quickly to get ready and you’re out of the door within ten minutes.
When you arrive at your clinic you notice Mr. and Mrs. Yamada standing outside. You’re confused, because you know they didn’t have appointments today. In fact, you were only supposed to have patients in the afternoon today.
“Oh there you are, Y/N.” Mrs. Yamada says.
“Morning Mrs. Yamada. Is there something going on?”
“Everyone’s been trying to get in touch with you and no one could. We were all worried, so we came here.” Mrs. Yamada says. You were still confused.
“I’m sorry, Mrs. Yamada, did something happen?” You ask. You watched as her face fell.
“You don’t know?” Their eyes were on you and you were starting to panic.
“Know what?”
“Miss Misuzu passed away last night.”
It felt like a building had just been dropped on you. You weren’t sure if you had heard correctly. You must have a strange look on your face, because they were looking at you with sympathy. You could feel the pain starting to wash over you.
“T-t-that’s not possible.” You mumble. “Y-y-you’re l-lying. I just saw her yesterday.” That was right. You did just see her yesterday. You had a lovely afternoon together. She made you soup, you helped her clean, and she gave you the scrapbook. That had all happened yesterday.
“Y/N, sweetheart, I’m sorry, but she’s telling the truth. It was late last night, or early this morning rather.” Mr. Yamada says, stepping forward.
They were lying. They were both lying. Misuzu was fine. You saw her yesterday. You had lunch together, you helped her clean, and she gave you the scrapbook. You think about how she had suddenly invited you over for lunch. How she was wincing when she was moving around.
“I’m just getting old.”
That’s what she had said, but she wasn’t that old, was she? The thoughts are racing through your head. She had given you the scrapbook and— The realization is like a second building being dropped on top of you.
“This is something, I’ve been keeping for awhile. I’ve been waiting to give to you. I think it’s finally the right time.”
She knew. That’s why she had invited you over. That’s why she had given you the scrapbook. Why she had taken the time to go over the memories with you. Your legs become weak and you can tell you’re about to collapse.
“N-no.” It’s so soft, you’re not sure if it’s more than a thought. Your legs finally collapse and you’re sobbing. “No, no, no.” Mrs. Yamada leans over and gently rubs your back.
“I’m so sorry, Y/N.”
Mr and Mrs. Yamada were kind enough to take you back home and make sure you got in all right. You couldn’t even open the door yourself because your hands were shaking so much. ? had to open the door for you. You had calmed your crying in front of them, but when you were sure they had left, it all came tumbling back out. Misuzu was gone and not coming back. You’d never hear her voice again. Those thoughts only made you cry even harder. You cried and cried until you felt hollow.
The arrangements for Misuzu ended up falling to you, because she had no living family. Even though you weren’t blood, you did consider yourself her family. She cared for you like no one else did. She was always there when you needed her. And now she needed you to handle this for her, so you did. She left ? and you would made sure everything was the way she wanted it. It was hard, but you made it through somehow. When the day of the funeral came, you didn’t cry. You held it together long enough to share your favorite memories with Misuzu and somehow held it together as people gave you their condolences. Maybe it had something to do with the hollow feeling. What were the stages of grief again? Whatever they were, you weren’t sure which one the hollow feeling inside of you belonged to.
A week had gone by since the funeral service. You had spent the majority of the time thumbing through the scrapbook she had given you. You took the time to look at every picture and every description she wrote. You read over every story and recipe. Again, again, and again. You’d do anything to have more time with her. You were supposed to have more time with her. You knew you were. Something about the way Misuzu left didn’t feel right. Despite being told she had passed away in her sleep peacefully, you didn’t believe it. Misuzu was healthy, and you knew she was because you were her doctor. She was still supposed to have more time and you were saying that as her doctor, not as her self-proclaimed daughter in denial. You push the thoughts away, not wanting to think about it anymore. You turn your attention back to the scrapbook and your eyes land on the picture of you making rice balls. Suddenly, your head is filled with images of his blonde hair and violet eyes.
Toge had been texting you nonstop since that night and you hadn’t replied to a single one of them. When you had finally calmed yourself down after finding out about Misuzu’s death, you turned your phone back on so that you could figure out what the necessary arrangements would be. When you turned the phone on it was flooded with missed call notifications from people in your small town, most likely from when they were trying to let you know about Misuzu. You cleared the notifications away and your attention was captured by notifications from him.

Please, I just want to know you’re okay.
Goodnight, Y/N. ♡
You wanted to text him back. You really did. Tell him that you forgave him. Explain to him that at first you were upset and that you had turned your phone off, but you had slept and just wanted to talk to him about it some more. You wanted to explain to him that the reason you hadn’t reached out sooner is because you had gotten bad news and couldn’t be bothered to turn your phone back on. You wanted to tell him about Misuzu’s death. How it had completely shattered you and how you hated having to go through this alone. You wanted him to comfort you in a way only he could, even if it was just from his words and stupid little memes. But you couldn’t bring yourself to do it. Instead, you never replied to him or any of the texts after that. For the most part, they were similar. He still said good morning and good night without fail. And then every now and again he’d send you a video he found funny or text you about a part of his day. You read every single text and watched every single video. You just couldn’t bring yourself to reply to them.
It has been two months since Misuzu had passed and you were finally starting to come to terms with it. The scrapbook had a lot to do with it. She had left a piece of herself with you, a constant reminder that someone loved you for you. You cherished it. You had even made some of the recipes she had left you. Some of them were ones she had taught you before, others were ones she had made you but never taught you how to make. You found comfort in the meals and noted how great it tasted, but it would never be quite like hers.
After her passing, it had taken you about a month to get back into the clinic. With the arrangements and coping with her death, it just wasn’t a priority at the time. This meant there was a lot of work for you to do when you got back, but you threw yourself into it and the clinic was now back to where it needed to be.
“Hey, Rin, how are you?” You ask.
“Good! Mom says I’ve gotten a whole five inches taller!” He says eagerly bouncing. You pretend to look at him surprised.
“A whole five inches? That’s awesome! Come on let’s measure you.” You reply. His mom smiles at you and you lead them towards the back.
“How are you doing, Y/N?” Rin’s mom asks as you’re checking his vitals.
“I’ve been good. Thanks for asking, Mrs. Fujita.” You say. And it was the truth. You were good. For the most part anyway.
“That’s good to hear.” She replies at you smiling. You smile back and then continue with her son’s check up.
“All right. You’re all good to go.” You say and pull out the stickers you keep for the kids. “You did an awesome job today, man. Go ahead and choose one.”
You watch ad he ponders over his choices carefully before selecting one.
“This one!” Rin exclaims holding up one of the ones with a race car on it.
“Very good choice, my friend.” You say laughing at his eagerness. You turn to his mom. “Thanks for bringing him in. He’s all good to go. If you need anything else just let me know.”
Mrs. Fujita thanks you and Rin gives a wave as they exit the clinic. You slump over once they’re out of sight. Despite feeling better mentally, you weren’t feeling the best physically. It felt as if something was wrapped around your torso and your shoulders felt heavy. At first you didn’t think much of it, thinking it was just your body’s way of coping with grief, but when the feeling continued, you decided to get yourself checked out. Everything came out normally, no cause for concern. That eased you worries a little, but the feeling had remained. You weren’t in pain, you were just feeling a lot of discomfort.
You spent the rest of the day updating patient charts and going through your files. You’re sorting the last of your files when you hear your phone buzz on your desk. You didn’t have to look to know who it was. Reluctantly, you pick up the phone and look at the notification.

It was a picture of a kitten that looked like it was screaming with the text “Text me back. I miss you.” on the side. You let out a sigh and lock your phone without replying. He hadn’t stopped texting you despite the fact you hadn’t replied to him. You weren’t upset with him. You really had forgiven him the very next day, after he told you he couldn’t see you. You believed him when he said he’d come visit you if he could, but you wanted to put distance between the two of you. You didn’t want to keep falling for him and become attached. Especially not when you were so consumed in your grief over Misuzu. You hoped that he would stop texting you, but you still received good morning and good night texts. He kept sharing his favorite memes and videos with you and sharing details about his day. You watched every video and read every word. It was like he somehow knew you still saw his messages, despite having your read receipts off. Eventually, however, the messages did stop and you hadn’t heard from Toge in over a week.
---
It was late and you were leaving your clinic. You were going to lock the door when you got the strange feeling someone, or rather something was watching you. You check your surroundings to see if there’s anything around and see nothing. You try to shake the feeling, but you can’t. You eye your surroundings one more time before deciding it would just be best to go back into your clinic. Maybe whatever it was would go away and you could go home in a little while.
You were scrolling on your phone, waiting for the eery feeling you had to go away, but it didn’t. It only got progressively worse as did the heavy feeling on your shoulders. You were ready to go home and relax, but with the eery feeling getting worse, you couldn’t bring yourself to leave. Instead, you decide to put your phone down and gaze out the window. Your eyes are met with nothing but darkness and you’re about to turn away when something catches your attention. Your eyes widen and you’re not completely sure you can trust them. You blink several times, thinking maybe it was just your imagination and the sight in front of you would go away, but no. There was a woman fighting what looked like a car-sized purple lizard. And they were moving closer and closer to your clinic. You quickly back away from your window and go to the back of your clinic to hide. You curl up in a corner in the back room, trying to convince yourself this wasn’t real. Any excuse you could think of came to your head. Maybe you were tired. Or maybe you hadn’t eaten enough and—
You’re pulled from your reasoning when the windows of your clinic burst. The windows burst with such force that the glass had scattered all the way to the back room you were in. A strange noise filled your ears, along with the sounds of slashing.
“Dammit. Just where the hell is that guy?” You hear a voice say. You could only assume that it was the woman from before. You hear footsteps along the shattered glass and the strange noise continued as did the sounds of the slashing.
“I see you finally decided to show up, Toge.” The woman says. You freeze. Toge? She couldn’t possibly mean—
“Don’t move.” You hear an unfamiliar voice say. You listen as the slashing continues.
“Dammit, Toge. Just finish it already.” The woman’s voice says.
“Explode.” Toge, you assume, speaks. Following that, you hear a loud splattering noise. There’s a few moments of silence before the woman speaks again.
“Well, we’ve done what we needed to do. Ready to go?” “Salmon.”
Your eyes widen and your mind flashes back to that very first night.
“Can you speak?”
“Salmon.”
“Salmon?”
It was him. But that couldn’t be, it didn’t make sense. It wasn’t possible. It wasn’t real. None of this could be real. You had to be dreaming. You must’ve fallen asleep while doing paperwork and were dreaming. You try to wake yourself up.
“Wake up, wake up.” You whisper to yourself. “Wake up. It’s just a dream.”
You were so in your thoughts that you barely noticed the sound of footsteps until they froze.
“Did you hear that? Is someone here? Gojo said—hey where are you taking off to?”
You hear footsteps rushing around and you want the the floor to open and swallow you whole. It was your dream right? That could happen, you were control. You keep willing the floor to open, but it never happens. The footsteps that were running had now stopped and you could feel eyes on you. You force yourself to look up and you’re met with those mesmerizing amethyst eyes. It really was him.

PART I - AS HE IS
Pairing Inumaki Toge x fem!reader Other characters Okkotsu Yuta, Zen'in Maki, Shoko Ieiri Content angst, hurt, longing, anger, struggle, love Warnings jjk MANGA SPOILERS, CULLING GAME SPOILERS, self-loathing, mentions of blood. Note LINK TO SECOND PART >> ﹢PART II - AS HE IS﹢ ❀This is my second one. I was actually planning on doing one with Yuta but I'm being haunted by Inumaki lately. I really wanted to create something based on his technique and mix it up a little with a traumatic event to heighten up the frustration sorrounding the character. The Jujutsu High students don't really have the time to fall in love, but here on Tumblr we make it happen now ¿Don't we?. That doesn't mean I make it easier for them tho. ¡Hope you like it!❀
Tumblr media
When Toge's eyes opened, you were the first thing on his mind. Beads of sweat were running down his naked back and torso and his breath was hot and heavy. He spotted Ieiri not far away from him, looking at some files. He was inside Jujutsu High, that much he knew.
The last thing he remembers was Sukuna's domain expansion and a lot of people, civilians, killed. His eyes widened in shock and then he realised... His arm. His left arm had been cut up by Sukuna's domain.
He looked down with the intention of bringing both his hands to the front, but only his right one came into vision. He looked to the left and saw the stump, most of his chest and what was left of his arm all covered in bandages.
Toge was so quiet that Ieiri never realised he was already awake. Quietly, she approached Toge to ask him how he was feeling and talk about the work she'd done on him. She'd definitely think of something to replace the arm, but it was going to take some time. A few minutes later, they could hear someone running down the hall in their direction. You burst into the room, teary eyed and with the most pained look on your face. Clutching your chest, his name came out of your mouth almost like a whisper.
Toge stood up with a little help from Ieiri. For some reason he wasn't looking at you, even though you were his first thought upon waking up. Suddenly his mind became flooded with negative thoughts. There was something about you seeing him like that, without an arm, without his confidence, scared, not exactly knowing what to do next.
You took one step closer, but he took a few steps back. You stretched your hand towards him, but he turned away from you and shook his head in denial, as if he didn't want you to come near him. He was only showing you one side of him, the right side of his body.
"Toge ¿Are you hiding from me? You don't have to-" you said reaching for his shoulder but he startled you with a harsh grown coming out of his mouth. You stopped yourself, eyeing him up and down, making a whole on the side of his face with your eyes, praying that he'd turn to look at you at least once. You didn't understand.
"Y/n, maybe he needs time to-" Ieiri started talking but you adamantly cut her off.
"No." you said breathing heavily, Toge being your main focus. "¿So you think this is shameful?" You started talking to him with hot tears rolling down your cheeks. Your cupid bow and lips glistened from the brightness of the office lights. "We are friends Toge, I know it's going to take a while, coming to terms with what's happened to you... Physically and emotionally. I came running here hoping you wouldn't be dead. Let me help you now that I'm here... Please, don't hide from me. As long as you are still breathing... ¡Look at me Inumaki Toge! ¡Please!" you pleaded in between sobs.
Toge knew you were right, you were friends and you had shared battles together, and meals too. You had made too many rice balls filled with tuna and mayo for the two of you. He was thrilled that tuna was also your favorite. You listened to music while sharing the same pair of earphones, looking like a happy couple, but you weren't. He never had the courage to properly ask you out on a date and now he hated himself for it.
The skinship was minimal and words were non existent for Toge. His cursed speech technique was a prison for him and it ate him up when it came to you. Sometimes he'd lay on his bed at night, burning up with the desire of having you by his side whispering sweet nothings into your ear. He wanted to make you blush with a fever made out of the sweetest words of the dictionary. Doing the same activities, enjoying them and keeping them as memories in his mind was the only thing he allowed himself to do when he was by your side. It was beautiful and priceless, but being with you was not the same as having you. He wanted to be your lover. Having you in front of him was a death sentece. He couldn't be able to confess his love to you and without his arm he'd only be able to give you half of his caresses. That wasn't enough for him. Not when he wanted to squeeze you and hug you so tightly as to smother you with his selfish ways of keeping you close to him, feeling the incesant beating of your heartbeat against his chest. Both his hands on your waist, both his hands on your cheeks, both his hands on your thighs, both his hands holding yours, forever...
Something started to burn inside of him, his hand started to shake and his mind felt like a merry go round. He couldn't take it any longer. He was looking at you now. Your hair, your eyes, the shiny flesh of your juicy red lips, your delicious neck. The shape of your breasts, your legs, your white pearly angel hands... He was looking at you, but with a face that made your eyes widen and turn your expression to one of pure fear.
The feeling was too overwhelming and Toge snapped.
"¡GET OUT! ¡GET OUT OF HERE! ¡FORGET ABOUT ME!" he screamed staring at you hard, eyes open wide, brows down and together. He turned into an explosive and had thrown himself right at you. The physical experience caused by his emotions made him use his cursed speech to kick you out of there.
The words came out of his mouth in huge waves that pushed you back throwing you to the ground, even causing Ieiri to grab onto a bed that was conveniently next to her. She saw you run down the corridor bumping up against Maki and Yuta, practically running over the both of them. They screamed at you several times but you just kept running. Your mind didn't question it. You stopped for a second to take in your surroundings. You felt so weird standing on an empty hall. You were at Jujutsu High for sure.
"This is..." you turned around and you realised. "If I go back I'd be going in the direction of ¿Shoko Ieiri's office?"
You thought about it for a second. Truth is you felt like you needed to be there but you couldn't put a finger on it as to why that was. Besides ¿You were running away now? Out of nowhere a piercing headache struck you down, but just as you were about to hit the floor Maki had her arms around you holding you up.
"¡Y/n! ¿What happened?" she asked worriedly. "I got you, just stay with me. I'm taking you back to Ieiri's office."
"Ah... That must be it." you said tiredly as Maki was carrying you bridal style down the hall.
"¿What is it?"
"This headache. Now I realise I was coming back from Ieiri's office. I was just standing back there thinking of the reason why I felt like going there, but in reality... I felt like I was going nowhere. I'm confused, I feel a little weird..."
"Well, 'a little' is good I guess." said Maki looking down at you with a smile and you gave her one back.
Of course she was playing dumb, she knew the reason you couldn't remember a thing was because Toge had cursed you and in the process he fucked it all up by making you forget about him. Good thing Maki and Yuta were there, because the moment Toge realised what he had done he looked worse than death itself and Yuta stayed with him to talk him out of any possible scenario that could put all of you in danger. Ieiri decided to put him on a isolated wing for the time being, so that Maki could bring you back for a check up.
"Ugh... my head feels crazy." you said laying down on one of the beds.
"¿How so?" asked Ieiri with no expression on her face.
"Well, I came here because I had a headache ¿Right? ¿But why was I running down the hall? What happened before that is what I can't seem to remember." you asked.
"Hm. Well, it was just you and me in here. I gave you some medicine to ease the pain and then you left." Ieiri replied in a nonchalant manner.
Behind you, Maki and Yuta were discussing amongst each other.
"This is a nightmare. I know Toge didn't mean what he said, but what he said..." he said.
"I know. What's said is done when it comes to him. There's no turning back from something like that. I wonder what the hell happened. ¿Toge hurting Y/n? ¿Or anyone for that? This isn't like him."
"For now we just need to check on her and make sure she can go out there. We need her. I made Gojo a promise that I would take care of you guys, but this is..." Yuta looked troubled for you. After all, you were his friends and you guys were like family to him. He didn't understand, but all of you were on a race against time because of a sacrificial game that you'd have to be a part of and Megumi thinks that you could have a chance in releasing Gojo from the prison realm if you play your cards right.
"Don't worry, I'll be with her. ¿Why don't you go first and once we are all done here we'll join you and the others?"
Yuta nodded and told you he'd see you guys in a bit.
"¿What were you talking about?" you asked Maki with curious eyes.
"¿Maki can I talk to you for a sec? You can go now Y/n it's fine. We just need to catch up on a few things."
"Oh, okay. You said, getting up from the bed and waved to the both of them, leaving the office to go find Yuta and the rest.
"¿So?" Maki asked Ieiri the second you closed the door and disappeared from view.
"She is feeling a little fatigued, nauseous. As long as she doesn't feel like something's missing she'll be fine. She'll be plenty busy out there with everything that's going on. Toge is no longer in her memories, but their bond was very strong, so it's like there could be a "Toge The Not So Friendly Ghost" living in her head. The thought of him has been replaced with lots of question marks so the brain is making up for it by making Y/n question other things that in reality they don't make any sense. You have to help her and we'll take care of this later, you know, as it develops. I'm glad he didn't hurt her for real, it was so unlike that kid to do that." Ieiri said shaking her head in disbelief.
"That's what I told Yuta. ¿What even happened?"
"I think it has to do with having lost his arm. She was talking to him, saying it was okay and that he shouldn't be ashamed, but he gave her the shoulder and wouldn't look at her in the eye. The energy that emanated from him was close to deadly, so as the amount of blood he spit after that. I don't understand how you can only get a headache from that. You'll have to keep an eye on her just in case."
"Maybe he half-assed it." said Maki shrugging her shoulders.
"Maybe." Ieiri replied thoughtfully. "But this only means one thing for Inumaki."
"¿What's that?"
"His losses have doubled. Losing a limb is one thing, and then, on top of that, pushing away the person he really loves... He is in a dark, desperate place right now. He's going to have to work really hard on himself to overcome this."
Meanwhile Toge was secluded in a room, punishing himself mentally for his mistake. Replaying the look of horror in your face, over and over again before he opened his mouth to put an end to any history between the two of you. He didn't mean to hurt you, he didn't want you to go, he didn't want to lose you and now he couldn't tell you any of those things 'cause he was dead to you. You'd come for him worried sick, practically holding your heart in your hand, but he just wasn't in his right mind. He could've killed you.
"Let me help you now that I'm here..."
He was so reckless with you, so thoughtless... ¿How could he?
'Please, don't hide from me. As long as you are still breathing...' you had said to him just a few hours ago. Your voice resonated in his mind and he couldn't pull it out of himself, just as the love he felt for you.
'¡Look at me Inumaki Toge! ¡Please!'
He was going to get you back, no matter what.
You loved him, just as he was.

Reblogs and likes are highly appreciated, they help me stay motivated to write
... Leaving your house again thinking about what he did, his cheeks light up. It makes him feel happy when he's with you and since then, he started looking forward to spend more time with you in the future.
It's not like he didn't feel bad about your boyfriend's death or anything, he just loved the time he spent with you. Especially after that kiss... It seemed amazing!
For you, when he left you just started making more plans for him. One day you'd go on a dates publicly or hold hands on a train.. Just everything you did for the next hour is thinking about him and planning the next weeks together.
After him going out you followed him “Can we go and check on your son together?” he looked like at you nodding. It wasn't really much time till you arrived and saw his son. To your surprise, he really was a critical condition.. Toge just sat on his knees holding his hand.
“is he okay?” you mumbled as toge just nodded. Meanwhile Toge was telling his son about how happy he was that he was able to pay for the surgery. While the doctor came to the room and said that they wanted to start the surgery as you paid for it.
After a while you started comforting toge. He just cared for his son and was afraid of anything going wrong. “Toge.. Its fine... He's a good doctor..” you hugged him gently rubbing his back. Toge was trying his best to hold back his tears but eventually failed.
It wasn't so long till toge fell asleep cuddling with you. “Who's the parents of Haru Inumaki” the doctor said as you looked at him nodding. “we are... Im his mother... Tell me.. Did he make it?” you asked standing up while toge was in your arms. The doctor just noded smiling “he needs a rest, that's all”.
Since that day you became haru's mother. You took care of him as if he was your own son.
Everytime toge comes to your place, as he's still paying back for the hospital bills you paid, he brings haru with him as a request from you. You enjoyed Haru's company more than anything. He did too! He finally got a mother!
Toge in the other hand, felt like the attention you gave his son cute, you were a bit too adorable as he would say. His heart just told him that you are the one for him.
Something told him to stop thinking about making you pay for his university bills and just stay as your husband instead. He knew that you were 7 years older than him. Yet toge really loved you.
“Boss, I have a simple request” he signed making your attention shift to him. “yes? what is it, toge?” your eyes lit up as they met his gaze.
“Can you pay University.. Bills for me?” he wrote down hesitantly giving you the paper. You smiled knowing that it only meant that you could meet him more and do more things with him.
“Yes, only if we pretend to be a husband and wife. I'll get you a ring too” you replied as toge's face turned red mumbling an okaka. “don't you want me to pay for the university fees?” you paused as he held your hands nodding.
“then what?... you don't want to pay like that?” he looked down as you said that. “I don't want to pretend.. I want to be your real husband” he cried finally taking the risk to talk.
You just were shocked. It was definitely a surprise, yet you welcomed Toge to your heart with open arms. “okay then, you are my husband starting from next month” you smiled kissing him making him the happiest man.
Even though it started as a request from both of you, no one could have guessed that you'd fall that hard for eachother.

Tumblr media
summary: toge inumaki isn't good with words. he is, however, really good with actions -- or "post mission moments, in which he makes sure you're taken care of".
warnings: ALL CHARACTERS ARE AGED UP TO 18+, brief mentions of danger and death, canon level violence, angst, hurt/comfort, fluff, suggestive at the end.
author's note: hey everyone! this is my first time writing an actual piece for jjk. please lemme know what you think :) reblogs/comments are highly welcome! enjoy xx
It isn’t that Inumaki is bad with words – no, it’s the exact opposite. Toge Inumaki is way too good with words, and that puts a toll on him sometimes.
He sat beside you, on the beatdown sofa in the center of the common room – a ritual you’re way too used to now. Some sort of aftercare, although not the one you long for. It’s been a few months that, after each mission, you and Toge would escape the others – that being your fellow classmates and your sensei – in order to take care of each other.
Tonight, you care for each other the only way you know how to, after a particularly tough mission: throwing a movie night.
As you run your fingers through his platinum hair, eyes glued to the television in front of you, you hear him hum gently against the crook of your neck. As soon as you hear the simple sound leave his throat, you forget everything about the movie playing in front of you – the femme fatale character on her way to seek revenge would have to wait.
Toge has his fingertips dancing against your shoulder, easing the tensioned muscle. You look at him in confusion, eyebrows knitted – until he mentions for you to turn around, with a simple gesture of his hand.
Oh, you understand now: you understand he’s trying to take care of you. You chuckle in response to his kind action, but complying nonetheless. You know that look on his face way too well: time to rest.
The blonde actress screams, blood splattered against  her face and clothes. The scene is cheesy, corny even. Toge Inumaki pays no attention to it whatsoever, given the fact you’re right in front of him, taking your hoodie off in order to give him better access to your back. That leaves you in only sweatpants and a bra – and, he may be biased , but the platinum haired boy blushes at the sight of you.
It wasn’t the first time he’s seen you like this – your soft skin exposed to his skilled hands, even though not in the way he fantasizes about. The both of you have been dancing with your hands tied for quite some time now, playing this game of cat and mouse: it was a matter of who would confess their crimes first.
A pleasurable sound leaves your chest as Inumaki’s fingers massage your shoulders. You mumble a soft “thank you” to which he doesn’t respond. These are the moments in which Toge Inumaki wishes he could speak normally, so that he could let you know everything he feels: you’re welcome. I love spending my time with you. Please don’t die.
Missions started to feel scarrier ever since you came into picture, ever since he got something to worry about other than himself. Toge found himself doing his very best to protect you, although everyone – you and your fellow classmates – were kind enough to not mention how he jumped in front of you a few hours ago, so the curse wouldn’t stab you with one of its thorns – it barely hurt him, just a deep scratch on his rib. Toge insisted he was doing fine.
“If anything, I should be the one taking care of you.”
“Okaka.”
You smile, turning your head in his direction. Toge looks like a cherub: flushed cheeks due to the cold, pretty eyes looking up at you like you hung the moon, fair hair now messy.
“You’re so stubborn.”
“Sake.”
At least he agrees with you, you think to yourself.
Inumaki gently presses his warm palms against your cheeks, looking deeply into your eyes. He hopes you know what he wants to say: I care for you. I trust you. I–
“I love you.”
The words fall from your lips before you can actually stop them from making their way outside of your heart. Your blood pulses with adrenaline, fear that you might have overstepped boundaries or upset him in any way.
And, unfortunately, there’s no way Inumaki can repeat your words towards you, letting his love be known to the world. No, there’s no way he can shout at the top of his lungs or whisper it against your ears.
His face gets closer, then, his palms still warm against your face. He’s so incredibly close, you can feel his breath fanning over your face. You can see the subtle lilac shade from his eyes, and how they’re so expressive.
Toge kisses you. Full of love and unspoken words, the kiss is filled with promises. He swears to himself he’ll let you know he loves you in every possible way, he’ll make sure you’ll never feel unloved. His heart and head and soul are full of you and only you.
His lips slide against yours in perfect harmony, and you smile into the kiss. Your arms snake around his neck as his palms find your waist, pulling you towards him, making you sit on his lap so he can feel you close to him.
By the end of the night, there’s no way you won’t feel his love.

Jjk men/boys as red flags ~
A/n: felt like angst
C/w: angst, all sfw.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Gojo: narcissistic
When you and Gojo were only friends it was fine, it was always just a joke. Even when it would irritate you, you were only friends, so it didn’t mean much. But after you started dating, you realized it wasn’t just a joke. Gojo held himself above everyone, yourself included. That’s not to say he wouldn’t die for you, but instead he just thinks he’s better than everyone else. Including you. He treats you well, but it’s always back handed complements. “You couldn’t do it without me,” or “you need me,” and this time, he meant it.
Geto: avoidant
Geto has never been open with how he’s feeling. When he gets upset with you, rather than explain to you why he’s upset he would avoid you like the plague. Make up any excuse in the book to get away from you, he was suddenly always “busy.” Even once he worked him self back down to normal, it still wouldn’t be resolved in his brain. Ultimately leading to him accumulating sad thoughts that he refuses to share with you or anyone else.
Nanami: priority’s
As much as he loved you, his work always gets in the way between you too. It started with a few days spent overtime, but days turned into weeks, weeks to months, and you realized you were hardly spending time with him anymore. He would work himself day and night, even when you pleaded with him to come home to you. Your pleas fell on deaf ears, he would always tell you the same thing. That he can’t support you without this job, and it was what must be done. Even at the expense of his time with you.
Toji: irresponsible
After his wife passing, he seems to care less and less about anything else in the world. After you began dating, you realized he would do small things, innocent mistakes. Not cleaning up for himself, not switching the laundry, but when you would address the issues, he would suddenly get defensive. First, he’d tell you it wasn’t true. Then, it was an accident, and finally, if you care so much why don’t you do it. Never just “sorry, I’ll handle it.”
Sukuna: aggressive
The first time your forgave him. But when it became a repetitive issue, it started getting under your skin. The smallest things would send him into a rage, a rage that he would take out on you, raising his voice, burdening you with his anger. After he calmed down and apologized, and promised to not do that again or at the very least work on it, progress never came. Trapped in a cycle of yell, apologize, promise, repeat.
Choso: affection
Choso is inexperienced and scared. He’s scared of touch, of intimacy, he wants to love you from afar. He can talk to you for hours, and listen to you talk, but he won’t hold your hand, especially in public. It’s almost like he’s ashamed, embarrassed to be with you. But no matter how much you bring it up, he’d reassure you and say he’s just shy. But never a way to satisfy your need for physical love.
Yuji: ignorant
He doesn’t realize what he’s doing wrong, so when your mad at him he doesn’t know why. He thought he was doing everything right, and even when you tell him, he can’t wrap his head around why that would upset you, he doesn’t get it. He never has, and he never will. He ends up love bombing you and you forgive him, but do you really? No, you let it happen because what else are you supposed to do.
Megumi: self-destructive
Megumi cares about anyone else more than himself, and he refuses to take care of himself properly and repeatedly puts himself into dangerous situations. It doesn’t matter how much you cry, how you sob and hold him in your arms telling him you didn’t think he was ever coming back, begging him to stay, if not for his safety than for you. But he won’t. He never listens, no amount of tears and begging will ever change his ways.
Inumaki: effort
A relationship should be 50/50, but when someone can’t give that, the other person would make up for it. But when 40/60 becomes the new normal, than 30/70, and so on, a lack of effort on his part is a regular occurrence, it starts feeling like why do you even try. Your putting in more than you can just for him to not make it up in return. It’s almost like he doesn’t care anymore
Yuta: obsessive
It was cute first, the way he would get jealous whenever you spent time with someone else. It was a joke right? You started questioning the lightheartedness of his actions when it became frequent and almost forceful. He would resent anyone who you spent time with, he felt like you were being stolen away. So much so the point it became toxic. He would guilt trip you to stay home more frequently. And when you finally decided you were going to leave anyway, the keys to your car had mysteriously disappeared. On no, guess you have to spend the day with him, again, forever.

Tumblr media
Maki, Yuta, Megumi, Yuji, Choso, Yuki and you were now standing in front of Master Tengen, at the Tombs Of The Star were he resided.
The repercusions of the Shibuya incident were far too great and Noritoshi Kamo had created a game out of the renmants of the catastrophe he had caused. A sacrificial ritual in pursuit of the evolution of humanity.
"The Culling Game."
The group layed a carefully made plan while going through the rules explained by Master Tengen, as you had no choice but to participate in the game.
"Well, that's the info we've got." said Maki "Now we each have a role to play."
Yuki and Choso would remain with Master Tengen, and Maki would return to the Zen'in clan to collect all the cursed tools. The group was shorthanded, so Yuji and Megumi would have to go out there and recruit some people, whilst Yuta would hurry up and join the game so as to gather more information, being on his own again.
"As for you Y/n, wha-" Yuta cut himself short seeing as you were standing a little far from the group. You had listened to everything, of course, but your eyes felt swollen and stingy from the incesant headache. "¿Are you okay?"
You didn't reply, you couldn't. It was like your brain was overexerting itself by the stimulus of something unkown that was trying to break through your thoughts. Yuta realised you were struggling, the group needed you, but you needed to go back to Shoko. It was clear that Toge's actions could severely affect you and the side effects, whatever they were, were getting worse with each passing hour. The thing is, he knew you wouldn't back down in this situation just for some headache.
"Now that I think about it, Y/n, you should stay." he said with a smile as warm as a beam of sunlight and a friendly hand on your shoulder.
"I'm sorry. ¡¿What?!" you looked at him incredulously. Everyone turned their heads to see what all the fuzz wass about. "¿Are you insane? ¡As if!"
'¡Tschk! This won't do.' Yuta sighed in defeat.
"Actually, that's not such a bad idea." said Maki from her place. "We have a major ally here at the school that needs our protection and Shoko is healing him. He needs time to recover as it's a slow process, so you'll stand guard for him."
"Maki." Yuta gave her a look. The rest didn't know what had happened between you and Toge, so in saying that, Maki would only raise questions that would resort in having to tell more lies for the sake of your mind's preservation. Fortunately, they were too busy, still talking to Master Tengen.
"It's okay, just trust me." she quickly said under her breath.
"¿What the hell is going on? ¡Ah!" you said squeezing your temple with three of your fingers, applying hard pressure to try and soothe the throbbing pain.
"¡Hey! ¿Is she okay?" Yuji asked taking a step closer to you, but Yuta rapidly turned around and started talking to him about the tactics they had planned to face the game.
Maki showed you a face that meant business this time. Even if what was going on outside was more urgent, she'd have to leave you at the school and pray that Shoko could help you. Sooner or later you'd have to declare your participation in the Culling Game, as refusing to doing so would result in death.
Toge was also on a race against time.
"Look, before I leave I'm taking you back. You heard what Master Tengen said and I can't have you out there like this. Something needs to be done."
You were looking at her attentively now.
"Our guy is a Semi-Grade 1 sorcerer that uses cursed speech technique. He is a major asset, so this is a crucial part of the plan as well. Making sure that he recovers in the least amount of time so that he can join our group, same as you."
"¿What happened to him? ¿What's the scoop?"
"He lost an arm due to Sukuna's Domain Expansion technique."
"Lucky." you said raising your eyebrows.
"Yup. Now let's go, we need to leave asap."
You nodded at her command and were leaving the tombs, way ahead of the group already. "¿You think this is okay?" Yuta approached Maki with concern written all over his face. "This needs to be sorted out. I know Toge, you know Toge, and he won't be going anywhere before he fixes this mistake. Besides, now it only looks like a migraine… ¿But what if the effects of the technique end up ruining the rest of her brain? It's being constricted against her will Yuta." "You are right. I guess we'll have to leave this to them. They'll catch up to us." he said with a reassuring smile. "Yes, they will." Maki replied with a slight nod.
Toge was in his room. It was quiet and somber. He looked ghostly, shrouded in darkness. Thinking of you. He heard noises coming from outside the building and quickly looked at the window to see the group leaving campus. Maki, Yuta, Yuji, Megumi… ¿Where were you? His brows furrowed and his face darkened, thinking that maybe you were not in a good state after the blow caused by the impact of his technique. 'She just had a headache. That's all.' That's what Shoko told him when she went to check up on him after a couple of hours. It didn't matter how many sentences and questions he wrote on his little notepad, her answer was always the same. He had no other choice but to believe her though, if something bad had happened to you he would've known by now. He went back to bed thinking about what would you be doing at that moment. He knew about the game and how everything had gone even more to shit. The guys were strong, he needed to get stronger and you were a goddess of combat, but- The wall of his abdomen tightened even more with each breath, feeling drowsy.
'I could've killed her. I could've-' He heard a couple of soft knocks on his door. As soon as he opened it, there you were. A vision. Somehow you always managed to look impeccable in your uniform, and your creative ways had his gaze nailed to every curve on your body. You always stood out, with your squared neck sleevless mini dress. You wore a shirt underneath, and the pin engraved with the school logo on your left side, right above your chest. You loved your knee-high stockings, and the look would always be finished with a pair of high combat boots. That brief section of your thighs, between your socks and the hem of your dress, were his constant reminder of one of the fleshiest, most juiciest parts of your body that he had always dreamed of grazing with the tip of his fingers. Your long wavy hair released these little electrifying, hipnotic sparkles that continued to feed his gaze. He swore he could feel these little vibrations that were coming out of you with each of your breaths, fully embracing his own blood-pumping muscle. You totally owned his heart. You were still standing there, with eyes as bright as stained glass. Flushed, arms crossed behind your back. Toge noticed your pink infused cheeks becoming much brighter. The soft, padded flesh reminded him that he was only wearing a snuggly white zipped hoddie with nothing underneath. His athletic build was on display for you. His body was solid, well defined and proportioned. His purple eyes were gleaming, and his skin looked so creamy and moist under the white lights on the corridor. He had to have you right then and there, your body against his naked, swollen chest. He needed to feel like you were not entirely out of his system, he wanted to finish before he even started. The need to put himself back into your body was driving him crazy. He wanted to be eaten up by you and never leave that little nest you had for a heart. The one who had taken such good care of him.
He needed you to take a bite from his honeyed lips.
The lights flickered all of a sudden, and your aspect had changed dramatically. You looked so worn, fragile and lost. You didn't know who he was anymore, you were a stranger, and the realisation made his eyes fill with stinging, burning tears. He needed to tell you that he loved you, first of all. So he stretched the only hand that he could towards you, laying it on your cheek with his thumb rubbing against your warm, tender flesh. 'This way, you are going to be just fine. I'm sorry, I'll keep you safe from now on. Remember me, please.'
He was so sorry and he was broken. As empty as your mind was now of his memories of you and him.
But he had to try, he had to do this so that you- "¡Toge!" You'd remember him if he just pressed your lips to yours. Then you'd see that- "¡Toge! ¡Damnit!" Everything would be fine, 'cause he was right there. "¡Inumaki!" you yelled at him right after you separated from his kiss. Blood was gushing out of your mouth while you gasped frantically. "¡INUMAKI, WAKE UP!" Toge jerked awake, with the cold sweat of a nightmare running between his shoulder blades. Your crimson image had left him scarred and full of fear. Panic spread on his face like a wildfire.
Shoko was right there holding him by the shoulder. "¡Put someting on! Y/n's not okay, we need to figure this out or I'm afraid-" Toge pushed past her and started running in the direction of her office.
