Sans do you ever feel that something might be missing?
Maybe he felt like that at some point, maybe for a long time. In the present, I think he's made some kind of peace with it.
Also, I really like the ask blog format, but I don't really mean this to be an ask blog.
So when writing questions, try to refer them to me instead of the characters. That way, they don't have to break the fourth wall lmao. I really wanted to answer this one tho

I am a javascript god (me when i’m delusional and also lying)
things done today:
6h of trying to not suck at javascript (got it to work the way it’s supposed to (i’m hoping))
managed to carve out time to actually chill guilt-free (well,, mainly guilt-free, like 70%)

(spoiler warning for lisa frankenstein)
sobbing crying thinking about the creature doing everything he can to make lisa's return a happy and comfortable experience. he gets some of those little fridge poetry magnets so she can talk to him if she has trouble speaking after coming back like he did. he gets a record player and some of her favorite music. he gently re-wraps her bandages after she gets cleaned up. he knows what it's like to go through this- it's scary and weird to get used to being undead, but it's easier when you have someone to help you through it

there's a weird thought ive been trying to chase down for a few days, and it's something like, "the words used to describe evil as inhuman are misleading."
very specifically, i keep thinking about the words often used to describe slavery - dehumanizing, objectifying, treated like animals, etc.
but that's not actually true is it? people would never trust an animal with complex tasks like "watch over my children," and they never react to objects with the emotional/mental abuse slavery engenders. the weird truth is, we don't really have any good comparison for slavery, because it is, by it's nature, a violence that can only be perpetuated *against other humans.*
these word choices imply that the crime is one of mistaken identity, as if the slaveholder is simply Factually Wrong. i understand that they are useful shorthand a lot of the time, but i worry that sometimes it's used to imply a lot more passivity than actually exists here.

i feel like it's pretty safe to assume the people who say Chaggie is toxic because of Vaggie's attachment to Charlie haven't really been deeply in love before, especially not in a situation where their partner literally saved their life.
Sure a dynamic like that could go sour if you become too overbearing/demanding or controlling out of fear of losing them, but Vaggie is very obviously not that?
I can't exactly put the feeling into words, it's sort of a situation you have to experience in order to understand. But when you owe someone your life, especially when it feels that person is also your soulmate, of course you dedicate the rest of it to making them happy and giving unyielding support. Of course you feel like you owe them the world, because they're your whole world and the only reason you're even still here.
Yes it can create a power imbalance and your partner could take advantage of the obsessive loyalty that level of dependency breeds, but Charlie chooses not to because shes not abusive and she respects and loves vaggie.
Charlie recognizes that Vaggie has self worth issues and places her value in how useful she is to her, and instead of making it into a toxic situation charlie takes the time to reassure vaggie that she doesn't need to be 'proving' herself and that she is loved and valued as she is.
