First of all:

Ur Ink u did for Inktober was really pretty. Look forward to any more Inktober pictures u can do. Only if u can though.

2nd of all: That Halloween Special AU art of Paps and Sans was so cute! Small baby-ish (demon; I think) Paps and teethwear (demon; I think) and/or braces Sans are so cute. I like their aesthetic too.

3rd of all: I was wondering how u been doing on any of ur projects

(like, Dead Ringer, which, I am very excited for the next episode of, and to see some of Sans, Paps, and Frisk's story of Dead Ringer. Will hopefully say something about Ep3 like I have done about the other previous episodes in some form. Or also like Bonnytale; which I read ur update(s) about on it's blog. And I am also very excited about. Or Inkuabtor. Ok, I probably spelled that wrong. Which, I am curious about. And the TikToks of it have been fun. I do hope u share it's story besides TikTok though. I will use TikTok sometimes. Like to see stuff and/or creators' stuff I like; like you. But I do admit; I don't use TikTok that much).

I know u have been jumping around them (and/or maybe even others), and/or probably are just busy and stuff. And I can wait for stuff. I know things can take awhile, and people have lives.

I am just curious.

4th of all: It looks like Hazbin Hotel is coming out in January, and if u are still doing Underhell, that means u will be getting more for that AU/series soon. Which is super cool. I love that AU, and the art and character stuff and stuff have done with it so far.

Also, since Hazbin Hotel is premiering soon, Cartoon Universe did a cool video called: "EVERYTHING You Need To Know Before Hazbin Hotel's Premiere!" , that has some cool info about Hazbin Hotel; that could be useful for ur AU/Underhell

Will say more about Underhell in another Ask, I feel like I have too much to say about it to have it in this ask, and I feel like it's better as it's own other Ask. Plus, this Ask is getting there in length. I don't know when I will send in that other Ask for Underhell though. Also, should I send that Underhell Ask on the Underhell Blog, or this blog?

1. I have been doing some inktober works however I’m currently in a headspace where im overally critical with my work so i haven’t been posting them (here’s one i did but i redid it i will post the new one later today)

2. i love my little vamp au even tho i have not build on it and aren’t planning to its still fun to me and im glad u enjoyed it ^-^

3.deadringer process is still slow as i’m focused on college but i have been getting a lot of progress done in which i honestly didn’t think i would, turns out hang drawing/animating as a stress reliever helps me grandly lmao. Also i’m proud of the improvements from the first episode to this one.

As for inkubator I do plan on posting it on Tumblr. So it will only be available on Tumblr and Tiktok! I might have to make another blog for it ooo

4. I have been doing redesigns and story updates on underhell but i haven’t been able to work on it as much as im hyperfixiated on my purple babies (deadringer) and inkubator :’D I will take a look at that though!

5. Any blog is fine! ^-^ im sorry for the slow updates on underhell i promise ill get there 😭

SALVATORE INKTOBER 5-7. THE SONDER EFFECT

Leslie, as the youngest of Westley and Anna's children, had three older siblings: Jesse Burke (1934-1999), Beth Burke (later Armstrong) (born 1938), and Martin Burke (born 1944). Though she would lose contact with each of them as she grew older, each of them was successful in their own right. From a young age, Jesse was always intelligent, with a biting wit and excellent memory. More than that, however, he was charismatic. Jesse's greatest talent was always finding the right people at the right time so he could network with them. It was this very talent with networking that led to him being granted a prestigious internship at an investment firm fresh out of college, which paved the way for him becoming one of Wall Street's most cutthroat stockbrokers. Though Jesse quickly adjusted to his newfound life of luxury, he never forgot his modest beginnings. He was, however, quick to cut contact with much of his family, especially his mother Anna. As far as he was concerned, that hateful old crone could go fuck herself. Beth, meanwhile, was always very outspoken and headstrong. After her father's death, Beth was often expected to care for her siblings while her mother was at work. This wore on the girl heavily over the years, and she began resenting her family nearly as much as Anna did. As she got older, she and her mother butt heads more and more, culminating in an explosive argument in 1961 (when Beth was 23) that led to Beth storming out of the house, planning to never return. For the next five years or so, Beth lived on her own, forging a new life for herself. In this time, she became very active in activist circles, participating in various protests during the civil rights movement, as well as various anti-war and feminist protests. She wanted nothing more than to make a better world and fight back against the people in power. Though she was at times too stubborn to admit when she was wrong, her heart was in the right place. Finally, Martin lived much of his life in the shadow of a man he hardly knew. Though Martin never really got to know his cousin Scott, his father Westley regaled him near-constantly with stories of the war and Scott's heroism during it. Even from a young age, Martin always got the sense that Westley wished Scott was his son, rather than the children he had. And after Westley's death, Martin was determined to make his father proud, whatever it took. When Martin was 18, he enlisted in the US military, and when the US entered the Vietnam War in 1965, Martin was eager to go to the front lines, chasing stories of war heroes who protected innocents and always did the right thing. What he saw, however, was anything but, and when Martin was medically discharged only a few years later, he was left an angry, bitter man, deeply disillusioned with the country he thought he knew and wanting nothing more than for it all to burn to the ground.

posting this inktober a bit late, but i decided to combine the prompts from days 5-7! i figured it also makes sense thematically, since these prompts refer to salvatore's siblings.

i originally planned to share more info about each sibling, but this post is long enough as it is lmao! and also honestly.... i'd rather talk more about each sibling's fate later down the line. i'm trying to tell this story as linearly as i can, but it's definitely hard when i wanna share everything that happens with each character.

also, as an explanation for the grouping of these prompts: 'sonder effect' is basically my attempt to just make the word sonder work here. sonder referring to the uncomfortable realization that all the people around you are living rich, fulfilling lives that you may never know anything about.

since salvatore lost contact with his siblings early on... i think that's fitting.

so... I said that doc drawing would be in this one, but it's not! I totally forgot... but it'll be in next week's post LOL

everything is under the cut since this'll be a long post! enjoy, and happy spooky month!

oh, and heres last weeks post!

I only list the prompts I used that day, here's the key for acronyms n such;

wh = welcome home

Day 6

hc: moon

this is 100 percent another self indulgent jump! my first full attempt at drawing pearl! I love her! Ive done some doodles for the traffic series before, but thats about it. I didn't finish that pose here... but maybe after october!

Day 7 (VAUGE GORE WARNING)

this was a very low spoons day! I think the little cat (me!) explosion is funny though. for some reason I can't get a great picture for this one, but erm... I tried lol

I also didnt really draw anything actually all so gorey, but the sketch implications are there, so I put the warning still!

Day 8

I was also going to include the group/team prompt, but alas, my spoons! dear mumbo did not get a spot on this day... I also kept the features vauge because I just wanted to have fun with the clothes fit XD

Ive watched Grian from the Olden™ build tutorial/battle era and rps with Sam and Taurtis! he holds an important role in my childhood/creative life, and has continued to inpire me :D

also, it's very funny to me that I drew the silly bit, and then the next day watched his deck out wk 3 video only to cackle as he says the line! "Grian will remember that" funny timing...

Day 10

hc: fav hermit friendship / fav group/duo

life: insanity (uh oh)

the buttercups!! mumbo is so out of place here, but I was first just doing some good old desertduo, before remembering the tall spoon was already left out two days before! I couldn't possibly do it again, so I drew a happy buttercup Mumbo <3

is he a vampire? a gargoyle, perhaps? some other creature? who knows! not me, that's for sure! but I do know he has little fangs and slightly pointed ears!

MaDD Events/Challenges

I get too nostalgic sometimes lmao 🥲 if you remember any of these then...uhm...I guess we're the senior citizens of the Daydreaming Community! Part of me wants to make something like these again, but the logistics are too much to think about right now.

PARADAY

Paraday was created by @sunshinemadd (and possibly @maladaptive-dreamer ?) and was a one-day event in which a MaDDer let their para(s) "run" their blog. Throughout the day, the MaDDer would make posts, answer questions, etc. as if their para(s) were doing it instead of them. It was also common for some to make whole blogs for their paras, which were called "parabogs". As someone who participated in both, I can safely say that all of it was just RPing as your paras lol.

Unfortunately, the creator has since deactivated and finding posts pertaining to the event is hard. So far, I've only been able to find this post pertaining to it, which includes tips on how to go about it. I also found this doc that organizes all/most of(?) the participants (including me!)

From my memory this was very short lived, around Feb-Mar of 2019 I believe.

PARAMAY

Started by @madd-utopia [source], Paramay is a monthly challenge that's supposed to mimick Inktober, inspired by Paraday. It was supposed to allow MaDDers to share info about their paras through art, writing, moodboards, etc. Paramay was hosted on the blog @paramay-challenge and ran from 2019-2021.

SEPARATEMPER

Like Paramay, Separatemper was a monthly challenge that let MaDDers share info about their paras thanks to a prompt list. Despite the similarities, the Separatember creator wasn't aware of Paramay until after the fact [source]. I wasn't able to find who started it, as the original Separatember blog has since been deactivated. That one ran from 2019-possible 2020?

There is another Separatember blog, @separatember, which is run by @daydreaming-memories. It was more of a general prompt blog than solely for Separatember, however, and never got the chance to do an official prompt list before becoming inactive. It ran from 2021-2022.

So January is new starts and shit thats not something that only we do

February is honestly nothing special. Maybe we make fun of it being short like we do woth our friends but even that isnt very common

Now march, march is where the fun begins. March is when caesar was murdered. We usually have a bunch of phineas and ferb memes. Its also womens month.

In april spiritual people, religious people etc often do what imma simplify to you as „recharge“. Theres also a whole lot of complaints about the weather so theres that.

I honestly dont think may has anything special but i have adhd so i might be forgetting smt major rn lmao

June. Listen, we love june. June is the month of the ✨guh-guh-guh-gaAYS✨. (June is pridemonth)

And in july we complain that companies only use pride month for promo.

August. Im gonna be honest im not really objective on this bc its my birthday in august so thats sortof the only thing august stand for to me lmao. Its summer tho, i can say that

Oktober is the month of creativity. Its not actually lmao i just said that. Because in October we usually make a bunch of art challanges (or other challanges for each day. And then we put „tober“ at the end and tadaa. Inktober! Costober! Fotober! And all that. That originally began bc well obv october is helloween month right? Right. So they did this thing called spooktober. Which can be each of those, it just has to be scary yk? And because America is weird and they do halloween wrong (/hj) they just don’t always use the spook and instead make whatever tober. (This whole explanation was a joke. Pls dont cancel me) and then theres hell week

Now hold your horses and settle your seatbelts for november cuz dis gon be a hell of a ride. It’s honestly actually not that much. Its just one thing but you’re gonne be a little disturbed after it. So november is NNN which is short for No Nut November. Boys chllange themselves to not masturbate or do anything sexual for that whole month. I have no idea where that came from so dont kick me. Its not my fault. Anyway youre gonna see a whole lot of people setting their profile pictures to eggs. Now ik i said its only one thing but see- it is one thing. The eggs are related to that. A whole egg means they still havent „lost“ nnn. A broken egg signals people in comentsections to pay respect to their fallen brother/the fallen soldier (youre gonna find some of both brother and soldier) also when i said we love the tembers its because some people make variations of this in september oktober and December too. Idek

December is basically just Christmas.

i know i give false promises to literally everyone who talks to me about making content, but i planned out the re-written chapter for arcana and im like genuinely excited for it. I'm only 1k words in and its lowkey not going that well LMAO but i think itll be ok in the end i just need to take a bit of time on it and relax. (And actually probably re-read the story again because of my shite memory). I don't know if it'll fit with the entire theme i have going on, so i might just end up scrapping it in the end of it all, but i think it'll be ok. I will convince myself it'll be okay. Anyway ya I'm gone right now because I'm writing. I know I said I wanted to do daily doodles or whatever and I haven't started yet LOL my bad

on a side note, i think i rly wanna participate in like inktober - diakko version, most likely here on this blog instead. I say this but im waiting to see if new ipads are gonna drop this october, and if they do i want to grab one of those maybe?? Or if not surely the older ipads will go on sale and i can grab one of those instead. If anyones like an apple/ipad enthusiast plz talk to me because ive never owned one in my life and i barely have any idea what im doing

anyway if they do drop the new ipads it would be in like mid october so like i would miss half of inktober.. But rest assured I will have a new drawing device by mid october!!

oh i made a couple which is so mind blowing to me but the first was @allyjostan who is incredible. so sweet, literally the sweetest person i know and soooo funny lmao also recently showed me a blanket that made me so emotional i still think about it every day skdjdjdj 😂 <333 and soooo talented. literally the first thing i read inspired me to write something??? and sooo much art and music!! we share a lot of music and TRACE ended up on my spotify playlist because of that <3 i can always count on jostan to be encouraging and kind and sweeeeet. literally saves my life everyday through the power of spongebob 🥴🥹💕

i bought my friend, who i see maybe once every four months, lots of fruits and vegetables when we met up at her house, and she used most of them to make this huge meal for us and her family and i think about it all the time, how the source and storage place of love in every home is the kitchen, and how everyone must eat and how she shared my love for her back with me almost immediately.

the characters i create in my stories are so important to me and my favourite (probably won’t ever change actually… unless i outdo myself in 2023) is mei from unearth the sun. everyone’s going to learn more about her eventually but she’s so cool and smart and also kind of rude but that’s what makes her great. she loves physical touch and she says the wildest things as kids are wont to, but she’s also unfortunately very sad. can’t wait to talk about her in more detail

Postmortem rambling beneath the cut~

Woo! One week under my belt. I got six fics of seven that I wanted to post (as far as weeks go this month, there is a singular instance of Lennonesque week-to-day ratio fuckery toward the end when there's suddenly 10 days "in" a single week, lol). I made a last minute decision to cut my losses on Day 03 and deal with it when the spell slots become available. I think this first week was the most difficult to write for, but I'm still not entirely sure why, considering it's almost 10k.

I started writing for Danktober in the first week of September, when I finally got the Inktober prompts squared away. I found that organizing the ideas into groups helped me for a bit, when I was faced with 31 unstarted tasks. I had a few series-adjacent works planned (set in triptych, mesh network, puppy marcus, tentacle marcus, and farmer Joel to an extent), a few self-contained series (don't call me wifey and chernaboyfriend to be precise), and the rest were a mix of one-shots ranging from monsterfucking outside the realm of the PPCU (chernaboyfriend) to monsterfucking within the PPCU (tentacle marcus, max phillips) to just plain old mostly in-canon stories.

A few things here and there were ideas that managed to accept the process of getting smashed into the context of certain days' prompts, such as the wingfic coming in week 4, the khonshu sleep hypnosis fic in week 3, the reverse AU next week, and the idea for the omegaverse fic next week has been marinating for a while, but I rescued it from the brackish pondwater it had been sitting in. Other than that, I really like how this all came out. The editing process was fun, and I'm writing this all in Scrivener so I can get ample practice before NaNoWriMo (most likely gonna write Farmer Joel for that one, btw). I still have no idea how to compile things, so I've found a fairly-easy workaround to help me out lmao.

What went well? The process of posting was very smooth, I think due to my (probably) overkill planning and organizing. I'm never doing a challenge like this again without at least a month's prep. I think flunktober was only written max 2 weeks in advance, which is why I missed 7-10 days total out of 31.

What didn't go well? Obviously missing a day sucked, but I chalk that up to more of an unclear inspiration for the prompts (bat, boyfriend, stuck in the wall) than sheer laziness or even creative block.

What surprised you? The response to farmer Joel, honestly. I had no idea y'all would be so intrigued!! The feedback was fuckin incredible, and really really alleviated my anxieties surrounding the AU.

What didn't surprise you? Initially I planned to make little doodles inspired by the fics, but considering I'm still not actually finished with 100% of the prompts, it was an easy thing to drop. Maybe 2023 will be the year of Art Bailey. I haven't had a vested interest in making art since I was in high school, but who knows?

Which work did you like writing most? Difficult to say. I think finally putting words down for Chernabog was the most difficult to do, but also the most gratifying!! I loved building out their relationship and just daydreaming about alternative forms of communication with a nonverbal sentient species. Lackadaisical absurd humor is my bread butter meat potatoes and comfort zone, so getting to be real nonchalant about the fact he literally ate reader's actual fucking heart and sometimes temporarily kills her for fun tickled me. I think the obstacle of that initial hurdle is actually what stalled Day 3 - it's another Chernaboyfriend but quite a bit sexier.

What are you excited for about next week? LOTS of things but I'll just name two. The first bit of Farmer Joel I ever wrote is coming out tomorrow for Day 8 and it's sooooo atmospheric and mysterious. I'm in the middle of editing it right now and giving myself chills just rereading some parts of it. There's a few more farmer Joels getting posted on the 12th and 15th, with the rest of the works in that AU being in-universe outside of the main story, and they're non-spoilery for the most part unless you have a knack for deciphering foreshadowing and literary devices. The other work I'm excited to share is Alpha!Marcus Moreno, an idea that's been rattling around my mind like the dice in one of those lil pop-o-matic domes from the Trouble board game. Katee's commentary in the comments of that google doc gassed me up like a goddamn humvee.
