Early morning study sessions, corepower gym classes at 5 am, unhurried walks under the sun w laidback rnb, extensive skincare bc I need time to myself even on booked & busy days, cute fits & nails, keeping track of my multivitamins, putting more effort into phone calls w relatives, engrossing myself in days at my orgo lab or the neuro clinic, volunteering more and more at the refugee center, holding myself accountable, being more in touch w my feelings, getting better at staying in touch w friends, soft & moisturized curls, reading for fun even when my brain tells me I could be doing something productive…. I will make this life beautiful even if it’s by the skin of my teeth etc etc

#February was fine but it was robotic #I just felt out of touch w myself idk how to describe it #March I’ll be on my shit but also grounded & present. That’s the goal I think #February is usually always a ??? month for me but this March I’m resetting and throwing myself into things I’m passionate about #I just wanna imbue the things I do w passion like I used to #Instead of being on autopilot all the time #Literally writing everything into my calendar rn I will make this work

That man would be so torn. Happy and sad, furious and overjoyed with himself. There’s a part of him that wants to keep the baby, the anomaly. And that part only seems to grow as he watches his lover defiantly keep the baby. Angst, the tiniest bit of fluff, and feral Miguel. Ah~ it’s perfect.

Ok, I had like a full thing written out here.

And I deleted ALL OF IT because I decided this needs a proper fic. Like a real, decently sized two-shot based on the initial imagine I wrote and this idea.

Here’s my TLDR: You go to Peter B. and Mary Jane after your period, which is never late, is lagging by a few days. Peter’s kind of dumb, doesn’t really know what’s up, but MJ gets it. Lo and behold, the stick says you’re pregnant. And you want this baby. There’s no doubt in your mind that you’re going to fight for this baby—even if Miguel doesn’t want it. This happens before Miles’ interference, just long enough that you don’t give off any vibes.

Fast forward to Miguel’s inevitable redemption where he realizes he got it wrong, yada yada. Canon can be broken, sure, but a baby with the DNA of two universes? Still terrifying. And Miguel’s convinced that you’re hiding something from him because you’re doing all of this sneaking around and not spending as much time with him. It doesn’t help that he’s been spending time in a lab on a secret project.

When it all just boils over, he’s fucking terrified. He lost his family once; he can’t survive it again.

But it also lights a fire in him you’ve never seen before—an overwhelming desire to push all of his love and feelings onto you. He needs you to see that he needs you, that he can’t lose you.

“Aren’t you upset?” you ask.

“No, mí amor. I’m fucking terrified.”

But for just a moment, he wants to drown that terror out with his love for you. He wants to pretend he’s a man who’s having a normal baby with his normal wife.

(I’m not telling you how it gets resolved you’ll have to read it later nyeheheheh.)

Just read the whole 'how Andreil pans out' ask and all I'm saying is that I love the idea of Andrew Courting Abram and Abram just absolutely misses that it's what is happening. Part of it is just a cultural difference, Evermore and Palmetto have different courting cultures perhaps?

Another part is that Andrew really does not act all THAT different. He's giving Abram gifts but like Andrew is always giving Abram stuff? It's not new? Yeah they had dinner together but that's just like what they......do?

Another another part is just Abram not even considering himself as someone worthy to be with Prince Andrew like that. He wasn't worthy before and after Evermore and everything I could imagine he feels even less like a person let alone a person who deserves Andrew's positive regard.

IDK I just love the idea of Abram at some point like 6 months into Andrew trying to court him seeing that behavior somewhere else, being told that's how nobility in Palmetto court others, and going to Andrew like "Have you, perchance, been trying to court me?"

Like yes! Yeah! Andrew’s already a gift giver, it’s just what he does as far as Abram’s concerned, and they spend so much time together that dinner isn’t strange those are perfect points. Like to the court it’s starting to become obvious - maybe in the kinds of gifts Andrew gives, or some other small things that are new, yes, but Abram has always taken these things in stride and usually his lack of judgement when Andrew tries new things or changes in little ways is a huge relief but not this time Abram PLEASE

Finally Andrew just bites the bullet and goes for a gesture that’s way more out of character and harder to mistake, which might look something like this (and thank you @leedee013 for tags about them giving each other flowers that I LOVED):

And Abram can’t really form his thoughts into words because like you said; he doesn’t think he should be allowed something like that, there’s no way he’s ever EVER going to assume that Andrew is trying to confess or clue him in to a courting like this, even if it’s in his head now

But then Lady Reynolds sees Abram later heading back to the castle/wherever he stays carrying this bouquet of carnations (fascination), narcissus (honesty/truth) and acacia (hidden love) (let’s not look too closely into these flower meanings lol, i picked the first ones I found and I’ll field all further questions with ‘artistic liberty’ 🫶) and they’re pretty close friends by now so she’s immediately like “oh my GODS Abram who gave that to you”

And Abram quietly says “the prince”

And Allison’s won like three separate bets between various other people of the court and she’s elated

But maybe she takes pity on him when she realizes exactly how clueless Abram is, so she does her best to explain everything and finally, Abram begins to allow the possibility that maybe Andrew is doing all this on purpose. But he would really rather like to be certain.

And of course I had to draw your little exchange but I did it from memory so apologies for the changes in dialogue but I love it:

ANYWAY from there, when it’s cleared up, it’s just them being dumb and sweet and grasping at straws for how to be in love and natural about it (because they’re both very private people and a good number of average/expected acts of courtship aren’t necessarily in their wheelhouse) 😭🥹 and not to add yet more hurt/comfort but Andrew is so so determined to figure out a way to assure and reassure Abram that he knows what he’s doing, yes Abram is worth it, yes he’s doing these things because he wants to. If he didn’t want to he wouldn’t be doing it in the first place. And I’ll bring it back around by using my previously mentioned artistic liberty to say that yes Prince Andrew loves having his hands held/kissed (just by Abram naturally) and Abram figures this out and absolutely uses it against him. They love each other your honor

You know, I feel like Kratos forgetting Calliope’s song was a wee bit harsh on the part of the writers.

I think his explanation of how he would’ve given up everything for a few moments more with his daughter, but when he met Faye, found the world worth living in again, would’ve been enough. Imo that illustrates his journey well in of itself.

To add onto that that when he found his new family, he could no longer recall Calliope’s song (played on the flute he made for her)…I dunno, it doesn’t make me think, ‘oh look at Kratos’s growth and development’ as I’m sure the writers intended. I understand the symbolism they were aiming for, but honestly it just made me sad

It’d be different if he was struggling to remember just due to the passing of time, but the fact he says he forgets it specifically after meeting Faye changes the meaning imo.

Kratos could remember his daughter’s song - presumably her favourite, that she played often, if it stuck in his memory - just because he loves her. To remember doesn’t intrinsically mean he’s haunted by it. memories of, and a love for, his Grecian family isn’t inherently negative, or something that has to be ‘let go of’ for him to progress as a character.
