They wouldn't be angry or anything, just. Upset over how much time they lost

Artemis completely understands Wally's choice to marry Linda. I mean, she's found a boyfriend herself, so she'd be kind of a hypocrite if she was upset bc of it

Dick is just. In shock. Those kids right there are the kids that could've called him uncle, had they been born in the other universe. Honestly I feel like he'd be pretty sad bc he was still holding onto that small hope that Wally would someday like him back (I'm sorry)

Barry and Iris are destroyed. That's their son right there and they didn't even get to watch his children grow up. They try to make up for lost time, but no matter how much they do, it doesn't erase all the time they spent apart from each other. Eventually they'd go back to normal but the angst potential of this is so big

Meanwhile Jai and Irey are just confused over who these strangers are. But they give them gifts so they're not complaining

Look, I love seeing the ramblings of @givemewallywestorgivemedeath and what is going on in the comics.

But the SECOND that I saw her swinging her brother around like a battering ram and sending grown men fleeing this is immediately what I saw in my head, so I was determined to make it a reality.

Okay.

So. Irey, Maxine, and all the kids at the school are frozen in time. Jai wasn’t but he can feel it.

Does this sound like a parallel to anyone else?

Irey is the one frozen now which made me think of One Minute War where Jai is frozen.

Please have him save the day. Give him his moment.

He saw his powers and his connection to them as a curse but now it can be the way to save the world and his family.

Okey so I've gone back a bit but, I just now realized that it says that they've been practicing.

As in they've done this before. Irey has thrown Jai before. This is something they've planned, something they choreographed. Something they've done over and over until they could do it confidently in battle.

flash 2023 issue 5 thoughts

i like it. there's so much happening plot wise there should really be an action comics but for the flash family. but dc hates us and they hate good ideas.

jai is such an underdeveloped character and it was nice having a whole issue through his POV. i relate to the whole moody preteen no one likes me thing. being 13 SUCKS!! and the moment where he asked grodd what his problem was instead of fighting him was Excellent.

by now it's pretty clear that linda has postpartum :(. i feel so bad for her but it makes me wonder where her support system is.

in my experience (black american) it's not uncommon for relatives move in after the mom gives birth (usually a grandmother) or at the very least their friends are stopping by to cook or clean or something.

last time I checked linda was on good terms with her family. and it would make sense for her to have friends outside of the flashes. so where are these people?? this is the shit I think about. where are the women??

every time iris and barry pop up i get so excited lmfao. i hope wally didn't just scramble barry's brains since he destroyed the thing that was floating above his statue 😭 and how will that affect them finding max?? maybe jai will timewarp to him

this issue is so funny. i love all the scientists living together and sleeping together?? perhaps?

i hate the fact that the dc universe is also having a book banning problem but I digress

Similarly, Jai and Irey’s origin story is Bart Allen’s origin but altered (child of a speedster with hyper accelerated aging who needs to be saved by Walt West)

Teen lian headcannons plz if you have time

I do! Yesterday (August 18th) is when I headcannon her birthday so feels right!

She started her band (KML) with her two best civilian friends when she was 14. They started playing bigger gigs by the time they were 16-17 through a bunch of hard work. (They do know she’s a hero because she didn’t have the patience to lie to them)

I recently learned that some version of Lian was kidnapped by human traffickers, who branded her back. When they’re laying in bed, even before they were dating, Jai would run his fingers over it while they talked

She kept the fact she went to a private school, complete with uniforms, a secret….until her junior year of high school….when there was an emergency and her teammates were the ones to show up. Damian told the others they needed to focus on the mission… “Let’s go before Harper breaks into a musical number.”(I’ll write this if anyone is interested 😂)

Started drinking coffee at 13 because Roy didn’t have it in him to negotiate with her in the morning anymore 😂

During trainings, she loves doing the Salmon Ladders, great core and arm work out. The watchtower got a 30 foot Salmon ladder. Lian was the first to go on it. There are no words to her father’s pride

Started smoking weed at 16. Her dad knows and they have different rules in place for that

She’s dated three guys and one girl before Jai, but most of them thought she was “too much”

She and the other Omega girls have their girls nights the same day the Omega boys do DnD. They have joined the boys for a one shot DnD before. Lian was a half demon bard and successfully flirted with a door to unlock it

Linda, trying and failing not to laugh: I was convinced he was just a piece of my imagination until he spoke to me for the first time. I couldn't believe what I was experiencing– *wheeze*

Lian nods, “Everyone else got to be there, why can’t we?” Robert agrees, “Even Jon and Damian were there!”
