Things I forgot, then rapidly remembered

You stand on the left on the escalators!

There is no ground floor, it’s either floor 1 or LB (lobby? It doesn’t stand for “lower basement”).

This I didn’t forget, it’s new: apparently Suica cards (the Japanese equivalent of a Leap / Oyster / Octopus etc. card for travel) are being phased out. They instead introduced a new one specifically for visitors, which expires after a certain duration. If you want it, get it while still at the airport because it’s not easy to find elsewhere. I’m personally using paper tickets as each trip is only a few yen more expensive, and the gate eats up your ticket when you exit. The Suica mobile app is also an option for iPhone users.

Enjoy this picture of a very strange but largely pleasant tasting drink. The flavour is “melon mix”. I am unable to describe what it actually tastes like…
