there's so much "robin and will bonding over being in love with a wheeler and being gay"
a decent amount of "nancy and mike thinking they're too slow over realizing they love someone"
some "robin helps mike pull his head out of his ass and realize he's a fruity ass"
not enough "nancy and mike bond over being in love with someone of the same gender with internalized homophobia right after the end of a straight passing relationship"
too little "nancy and will bond over being on opposite sides of the same relationship problem"
and almost no "robin and mike bond over trying to love someone who should be perfect for them (vickie and el) and being petty dumb bitches as they're stupidly jealous over someone they don't even realize they love even though to everyone else it's painfully obvious they'll only ever love them"
AND I WANT MORE OF ALL OF THEM. GIMME FIC RECS

Having thoughts of The Party being touchy as all fuck after everything.
Like you cannot enter nor leave any kind of hang out without a hug, high-five, pat, or anything from everyone you were hanging out with.
And then, suddenly, you aren’t able to leave without a kiss or hug of some kind from Steve.
It started after the bullshit that was the Starcourt Mall. The kids were leaving Steve’s house from a DnD session maybe 2 months before the Byers left for Cali.
Dustin was taking forever to pull his shoes on and get out the house to his moms car and everyone was complaining. It was one of those rare times where Steve wasn’t the one carting them all around— they all had their own rides.
Dustin got his shoes on and Steve handed him his bag and— without thinking— pressed a kiss to the top of his hat before waving him out the door.
The rest of the kids are silent until Mike speaks up bitchily “what about us, asshole?”
Steve has no idea what they mean until El points to her head with a grin. Steve deals out head and forehead kisses for everyone and waves them off to their respective rides.
And then it just— sticks. At first it’s with just the kids whenever he sees them. He’ll usually greet them with a hug or an exasperated sigh and then say goodbye with a kiss to their foreheads.
Not even Mike complains. This is the kind of shit he never got while growing up— might as well make the best of it.
And then it migrates to Robin as well, and the Nancy is joining in on the hugs (they’re still too awkward for the kisses but the hugs are enough for now).
And Steve never holds back, not even in public. Again, no one complains.
And that’s how Hellfire finds out about the kissing arrangement (that might be the title of this if I make it an actual fic). They watch as Steve presses a forehead kiss to Mike, Lucas, and Dustin before waving them off and then presses a kiss to Max’s head and giving her a tight hug.
The guys try to make fun of the kids for it but none of them are embarrassed.
“It’s Steve, dude. He’s like a mom.”
“The kisses are actually really comforting.”
“It’s a Party thing.”
And then the fuckery of 1986 and Vecna happens and suddenly Eddie’s in on the hugs and pats and high-fives.
And then.
And then.
He’s in on the kisses.
Steve doles out the kisses like usual one night after Hellfire and gives one to everyone— including Eddie.
And Eddie panics and gives Steve one right back.
And then the kids are going feral about wanting to give Steve a kiss too.
And Eddie leaves during the chaos.
And then they don’t talk about it.
Until Steve and Eddie do it again.
And the kids accept is as the new normal; you have to give Steve a kiss back.
And then Steve and Eddie have an excuse to kiss each other on the foreheads and cheeks and noses.
One night they’re hanging out, just the two of them at the trailer after Wayne left for work.
Steve had greeted Eddie with a tight hug the moment he’d gotten in the trailer. Eddie had squeezed back just as tight if not tighter.
Steve was getting ready to leave, and on instinct leant in to kiss Eddie, but Eddie was also leaning in to kiss Steve. So they meet in the middle and accidentally kiss on the lips.
And then the new normal for Steve and Eddie is kissing on the lips goodbye.
Idk, just Steve being a very touchy feely person makes me so happy

“Steve, it’s an emergency. I need to kiss you. Actually, I need you to kiss me. But I can’t just do it without asking because what if you don’t want me to, and I practically attack you? So yes or no? I swear it’s for a good cause.” Eddie comes running up to Steve in the bar, panting so hard Steve can see the chest movements.
They have taken Robin to a bar out in Indy to get her laid finally. Or at least a tongue in her mouth. The girl is pent up. And it’s Steve’s job as best friend to make that happen (Robin has told him to stop saying that, ‘it is gross’). Eddie is the only other queer person they know and, luckily, has made quite a few trips to Indy to know which bars were the good ones. He tells Steve that, like Robin, he is desperate to get laid, so this is the perfect opportunity.
Steve does his best to try and ignore the burning jealousy he feels at that. Eddie doesn’t know about his feelings (hell about his sexuality), and Steve is pretty sure Eddie doesn’t see him that way.
“Huh?” Asks confused, his brain struggling to process.
“Okay, I see you’re stuck on how to answer, but Steve—“ Eddie grips Steve’s shoulder, and Steve tries not to swoon. “—my ex, the extra shitty one, is here, and if he sees me alone I’ll either a) go home with him tonight and—“
Steve cuts Eddie off with a searing kiss. The thought of Eddie going home with someone else was enough for Steve’s brain to catch up to speed. Steve presses Eddie against the bar. The loud bass of the music suddenly becomes a light thrum in the background. All that he feels is the delightful pressure of their lips together. Eddie’s hands slide up into Steve’s hair as he gets pressed harder into the bar. Steve’s hands' grip Eddie’s waist and give them a tight squeeze. The idea of bruises being left behind, a mark of what they are doing here, makes Steve deepen the kiss. His tongue used to massage Eddie’s, tasting the menthol and rum on his breath. Eddie moans loud and heavy, vibrating Steve’s entire body.
“Eddie?” A voice interrupts them. Steve feels his anger spark back slightly but wills it down because the interruption is probably needed. They are very close to getting kicked out for public indecency.
“Oh hey, Ryan.” Eddie looks the blonde man up and down. He’s cute, Steve notes, but he lacked personality in his appearance. He isn’t what Steve expects from an ex of Eddie’s. He isn’t naive enough to think Eddie dates exclusively metal heads, but he expects someone to match Eddie’s energy. This guy—Ryan apparently—looks like every other guy you’d find on a Sunday in Supermart. Boring and lacking imagination.
“Who’s this?” Ryan looks at Steve pissed.
“Steve?” Eddie wraps an arm around his waist, bringing Steve close up against him. “This is my boyfriend.”
“This dude’s your boyfriend?” Ryan snorts. “C'mon baby, I know you can do better.”
Steve feels his anger finally pop. “He is not your baby. Yea, he can do better than both of us combine, but I’m lucky enough to get him. Now, you interrupted our time together, and we both know you saw what we’re up to, so don’t act like it wasn’t on purpose.”
Ryan startles backwards, “I—“
“Sorry, maybe I wasn’t clear. I meant leave the fuck right now.” Steve grits out, some of his Upside Down protection mode popping out. Ryan scatters quickly.
“Jesus, Steve, that was amazing. I’m sorry I had to make you uncomfortable with that.” Eddie’s eyes find his and cuts Steve off before he can protest and explain no, he really did like that “—and you never even let me explain reason b, by the way! Reason b is b) he would probably humiliate me in the middle of the club.”
Steve nods at Eddie but has one track mind at this point. He grabs Eddie by the face this time before crashing their lips together once again. This time Steve moans into Eddie’s mouth as they both get lost in the kiss.
Steve pulls back ever so slightly and talks directly into Eddie’s mouth, “Sorry. I think he’s still staring. Needed to do more.”
Eddie, with swollen lips and a kissed-out face, looks around the bar to find nothing. “I don’t see him anywhere.”
Steve smirks and pulls Eddie by his belt loops so they are flushed together. Steve leans into Eddie’s ear and nibbles at his lobe. “Hmmm, you’re right. I think he’s actually in the bathroom. Maybe we should kiss in front of him there.” Steve whispers hotly.
Eddie’s brain, which has short-circuited much like Steve only minutes ago, finally catches up. Eddie groans, his face collapsing into Steve’s neck. He licks a stripe up Steve’s neck all the way to his mouth. “Fuck. Yea, baby, I think I saw him too. Think kissing, though, won’t be enough. We might need to up our game.”
Steve nips at Eddie’s lips, “I was hoping you would say that. Guess I just know how much you love your games, Eds.”
They meet each other for one last searing kiss before rushing to the bathrooms to share a very tight, very heated stall.

Steve and Robin come out to see Corroded Coffin at their Vegas stop and they have a great time and after the concert they and the band go out for drinks because when in Vegas right? and they all maybe go a little too far and get blackout drunk and Steve, Eddie and Robin all wake up in a bed together, fully clothed of course, but incredibly hungover and it takes them a while to notice the rings but then Steve finds the certificate and all hell breaks loose
Robin and Eddie got married last night
Steve has never felt more betrayed in his LIFE, he was supposed to drunkenly marry Robin one day, they're soulmates, how has she ended up married to Eddie?? the two of them shrug as Steve storms around the room, Robin totally apologetic and willing to make it up to Steve, Eddie relaxing back into the bed because now he has a wife and a boyfriend
Eddie has to leave for his next tour stop so they can't annul it straight away but when they do they gleefully tell everyone who can hear that they never consummated their marriage thank you very much and headlines hit the next day about the lead singer of Corroded Coffin getting a divorce from his secret wife, an ex wife who left hand in hand with another man and all hell breaks loose again when Steve realises this means people think they can just hit on Eddie now they think he's single

Mike and Will literally share shoes (and Will might be sleeping in Mike's room) and might not be dating yet when they start dating they're gonna share a whole closet and flirt with each other about how good they look in each other's clothes and just being obnoxious (I will rewatch those scenes so many times) what if they're sharing/swapping shoes because it's the 80's and they're in a really homophobic and conservative town and if they want to give little hints that they're dating and want to openly show it (to at least their friends) they have to be subtle about it? and maybe when they're at home they share clothes without feeling like they have to be careful with how they act around each other and can be openly affectionate (like them in s2)
Thank you for pointing it out @cler1csfink
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Confirmation that they're the same shoes and they're both size 10 so yeah they're sharing shoes
Tumblr media Tumblr media
and Mike brought these shoes from Hawkins which means the puma suede belong to Will
Tumblr media
and in a leaked footage El and Mike broke up/ were already broken up because Mike says "we'll still be friends" and "i wanted to tell you first" which makes me think he might have came out to her (and in that video he was literally wearing his boyfriend's shoes)
video from @nowmemoriees
in s1 during that scene on the train tracks they're friends and in the leaked video they were wearing similar clothes to what they were wearing in that s1 scene where they were friends and could trust each other. i think Mike's gonna come out to her (as gay) there which would explain why El was crying, and why Mike said "i wanted to talk to you first", in s1 Mike said "friends tell the truth" to El and in s5 it's Mike's turn to be honest about himself and maybe he'll tell her he's in love with Will or maybe he'll tell her that he's dating Will
it's the same song that played when Robin came out to Steve, obviously Steve had a crush on Robin but she's a lesbian and can only love him platonically while even though Mike tried to love El romantically he couldn't do it because he's gay and he didn't even bother to close his eyes and kiss her back
Tumblr media
plus in a deleted script it says he was mad at himself
Tumblr media Tumblr media
and the song playing when Mike and El were kissing in s3 "can't fight this feeling" is about someone being in love with their friend and not knowing what to do about it while already being in a relationship with someone else so it's about Mike being in love with Will and not knowing what to do so he represses it and pushes him away to get over him but then realizing it's not working (which is something he realized at the end of s3) and he's gay and he want on a double date with Will and Lumax after that
Tumblr media
and Mike in s4 was trying to be normal and might be into new things (men, because dnd is not new)
Tumblr media
and
Tumblr media
and in s4 "in the closet at rink o mania" started playing Mike took what Will said "and us?" as romantic and felt the need to clarify that they're friends and Will said they used to be best friends and the camera panned back to Mike plus synth music is his thing since he has "Smalltown Boy" (gay song) as his first song on his spotify playlist, it's a song about a gay man leaving his homophobic town to start a new life and Finn said he wants Mike to leave Hawkins
Tumblr media Tumblr media
and he has a "one way" sign pointing to his closet because he's gay and closeted and in his room he has a poster of a shirtless man while the others (Steve, B*lly, and Lucas' "friends") all have women posters because they like women
Tumblr media
Mike being obsessed with Superman? and him having a poster of a shirtless man while Steve, B*lly and the tigers all had posters of women in bikinis (because they like girls) Will has a skinny pink panther poster in his room which symbolizes his type in men (Mike) Mike has a shirtless man poster and a buff male dragon poster which symbolizes his type in men (Will) (he's not really buff but he's stronger than Mike) they're each other's type and love each other plus you can see Mike looking at Will's arms during some scenes
also in s3 he was happy about Dustin having a gf and asked him about her but then in s4 when he "finds out" Will has a crush on a "girl" he doesn't ask him about "her" and acts distant (he was pretending he didn't care but he was jealous) and he asked Will about the painting because he was hoping it was for him (it was)
Tumblr media
and he realized Will loves him back in the van scene, Mike wants to feel needed and Will needs him, Mike felt lost without Will, Will felt lost without Mike, Will loves him, Mike loves him back, they both think the other doesn't love them, they will prove each other wrong in s5 when Mike finds out Will lied about the painting and loves him back, they love each other the way they want to be loved
and he was so happy to see Will drew a heart on his shield
Tumblr media
which is literally an engagement ring, no hands because they'll be more than friends in s5
Tumblr media Tumblr media
they've been filming a lot at that farm.. and Ross and his wife said that they enjoyed eyewitness
Tumblr media
and Lukas and Mike both have internalized homophobia (Lukas was dating a girl to be normal and then he breaks up with his gf and starts dating Philip, his male best friend)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
and if this leak is actually correct there would be another parallel
Tumblr media
because in eyewitness Lukas gets injured and his boyfriend stays with him and he kisses his forehead, Lukas' dad sees it (he's ok with it), it would explain why Karen was at the hospital and why they needed an ambulance on the set, so if this leak is true then Will's gonna kiss Mike's forehead and Karen is gonna see it (that would mean Mike and Will are already dating)
Tumblr media
and in s2 Mike stayed with Will at the hospital so now it's Will's turn
Tumblr media
they've been filming a lot at that farm.. and Ross and his wife said that they enjoyed eyewitness and they filmed at like 3 or 4 different farms (one of them has swings) and they're literally filming at one right now
more s5 leaks and Mike and El staying friends after the break up and Mike being worried for Will <33 and Mike and Robin bonding over their partners being in danger
Tumblr media
Will is wearing one of Mike's shirts in s5, Mike wore something similar in s3 it's a gap shirt and Eddie said Mike wears gap shirts and Will has never worn something like this in the previous seasons and he didn't bring that many clothes back to Hawkins so he's gonna have to wear Mike's if he's staying at Mike's (the Wheelers added 2 chairs to their breakfast table and Will's tiger plushie is in Mike's room, it makes me think that they're already dating in the scene because Will is wearing blue yellow and green which are Byler's colors
Tumblr media
Noah liking another byler edit? fork found in the kitchen. pic from @iamforbyler from here . there are hints that Mike and Will's first kiss will be in s5 episode 7 (during Jopper's first kiss there were boxes that said MW705, Mike and Will s5 episode 7) they definitely told him to promote Byler again to introduce Byler as boyfriends to the GA and Millie is not promoting mlvn anymore and when they asked her what her favorite pop culture couple was she said the couple from twlight instead of mlvn
Tumblr media
Will's wearing Mike's black jeans, the blue shirt looks like something s2 Mike would wear but the undershirt looks like Will's in s4. he's just stealing his boyfriend's clothes atp because Will has never worn black jeans before and he's wearing blue (Mike's color) and Mike's the only one in the party who has worn black jeans and Will might be staying at Mike's because his tiger plushie was in Mike's room and the Wheelers added 2 chairs to their breakfast table plus Will has to stay at Mike's since he doesn't have a house in Hawkins and the cabin is too small for all the Byers to live in.
maybe he's wearing Mike's black jeans from s5 instead of the s4 ones but either way they're still Mike's jeans since Will has never worn black jeans before s5 and Mike has, Will is stealing his boyfriend's clothes, plus Mike is wearing Will's shoes in s5 <33
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Byler is so obviously gonna happen even without all those proofs because they gave mlvn the stancy storyline of Nancy not being able to say "I love you" to Steve because she's in love with Jonathan and they didn't give that storyline to Jopper, Lumax and Jancy or even Duzie which are healthy couples who don't lie about who they are to each other and never felt unloved by their partners, and Mike wants to feel needed and Will needs him and El doesn't and Millie said El realized she's her own superhero and that she's gonna figure out who she is without Mike and Millie is not promoting mlvn anymore
Mike and Will spent s3 acting like they were the exes because in s2 Mike was overly affectionate with Will but he stopped doing that when he got a gf because he saw what he did as romantic so in his mind being affectionate with Will even just hugging him or just holding his hand like he did in s2 would be cheating because he's in love with Will and he's gay
Mike becomes less and less interested in El the more feminine she becomes, it becomes more difficult for him to pretend he's straight i mean he "fell in love" with her when she looked like a boy and people kept calling her a boy..
Mike probably thought she was a boy at first, everyone kept calling El the boy with the buzzcut at first in s1 and Mike said "that's not Will" instead of "that's a girl" and interesting thing is the more feminine El becomes the less interested in her Mike becomes, he probably thought El was a boy at first and she was wearing a yellow shirt (Will's color) maybe she reminded him of Will?
I mean Mike being gay aside who would you rather for him to be with?
A, with someone who doesn't understand him and he feels like he has to change himself to be with and who makes him feel insicure?
B, with someone who he feels like he can fully be himself with and who understands him and who puts him on the first place and makes him feel loved? B right? with Will
Jancy had their "we're just friends" moment and they kissed in 2 and Jopper had their "it's just 2 friends getting together for a nice dinner" moment and they kissed in s4 , Lumax had their "she's not my girlfriend" moment and they kissed in s2 and Byler had their "we're friends, we're friends" moment (started by Mike who doesn't know Will is gay) and they'll kiss in s5, there were no moments like these between Dustin and Lucas because they're not in love with each other

I have this great need for both older Wheeler siblings to be very, very jealous. Jealous Mike is already basically canon, but what if jealous Nancy?
We haven't really seen it with Jancy, since Jonathan seemingly doesn't hang out with or even know a single other girl in the world.
I want Nancy's friendship with Robin to grow and deepen to the point where Nancy secretly dreams of it becoming more, and when Robin finally tells her that she and Vickie are more than friends, I want Nancy to surprise herself by getting insanely jealous.
Nancy's brain is short-circuiting and Robin starts panicking, stammering and trying to explain because she thinks Nancy doesn't approve of her being a lesbian.
Meanwhile, Nancy is trying to appear so normal about it, insisting that it's totally fine and great, that Vickie is....a really great person and it's....really, really great.
Robin is uneasy, thinking Nancy is doing her best to tolerate Robin's truth despite thinking it's gross.
Robin assures Nancy that she doesn't want to make her feel weird, that Nancy doesn't need to worry about Robin hitting on her, since they were friends and nothing was going to change that. Ironically, this makes Nancy angrier.
Nancy's head is spinning and she feels these ugly feelings rising in her chest, to the point where she has to excuse herself or she'll scream.
And all she can think is.....why couldn't it be me?

Here comes Johnny 🧷......
I rambled about this idea a few months ago on IG stories so a here's a little backstory:
Eddie can't stand Johnny, apart from the typical rivalry metalheads and punks had back then he also lost to johnny and his punk band on the battle of the bands in highschool. After that they have clashed a few times. Eddie didn't frequent Family Video before but has started going more often for Robin & Steve, specially Steve. Needless to say that seeing this guy coming here often and flirting with his crush makes him want to rip his hair out, too bad he feels he can't do anything about it. (And yeah, this guy is the cameo character Maya Hawke's brother played. I borrowed him for this)

Make a Move Eddie
Eddie had a problem. And that problem’s name was Steve Harrington. Steve was beautiful and sweet and unfortunately straight. Which is a massive bummer because Eddie kinda has a huge crush on the guy, big squishy gay feelings and all. Robin says he’s a moron but Eddie’s usually too busy moping to listen. Eddie is leaned against the Family Video counter doing just that while Robin throws candy in his hair and Steve rewinds tapes humming lightly to himself while he sits on the counter kicking his feet lightly.
The bell rings and a voice calls out, “Hey party people!” Eddie doesn’t recognize the voice and a quick glance at Robin shows her looking equally confused. No one outside the party ever sounds this excited to see them.
Steve clearly recognizes them though because he lights up like Christmas came early and springs off the counter with a cry of, “James!” He dashes from behind the counter and throws himself into a tight hug with the other guy that Eddie now sort of remembers. James Beltran he was on the swim team with Steve, played baseball too if Eddie recalls that massive sports bag correctly.
James is admittedly gorgeous. Bottle green eyes and short dark curly hair paired with a white smile and golden tan. He was built like a surfer all broad shoulders and a tight waist. His left ear was pierced too which got an eyebrow raise out of Eddie. If he wasn’t firmly gone on Steve, James would make some damn fine spank bank material. That leather jacket hugs him like a glove and his dark wash jeans show off an ass that actually rivals Steve’s.
“Hey doll face, how are you? Finally not bruised up for once.” James tilts Steve’s chin up and looks him over, Steve pushes him away lightly with a breathy laugh but his cheeks are stained pink and fuck a duck is Steve looking up at James from under his eyelashes?!
“Yes I’m not beat up for once thank you for pointing that out.” He smacks James on the chest which makes the taller man grin. Fuck Steve looks tiny compared to James. The older guy has several inches on Steve and wow, that’s all he’s got is just wow.
“Are we safe?” Eddie hears James ask Steve softly, he’s not sure he was supposed to hear and he turns to Robin to confirm that she heard too only to find her mouth hanging open in shock and he whips his attention back to Steve.
James has an arm wrapped around Steve’s waist, creeping under his shirt, as he cradles Steve’s skull with his free hand. The thing that stops Eddie’s heart though is the deeply passionate lip lock the two are sharing, Steve’s arms coiled around James’ neck as he kisses back with a needy noise that hits Eddie like a gut punch.
“Dingus! We are still in public!” Robin exclaims throwing a roll of paper towels at Steve’s back. The kiss breaks with a wet smack and a trail of spit still lingering between their lips before James smacks another quick peck onto Steve’s mouth before letting him up.
“Sorry, sorry,” Steve huffs, fixing his hair before laying his head against James' shoulder, the older jock wrapping an arm around his waist. “James, these are the most important people in my life Robin and Eddie. Robin, Eddie, this is my ex-boyfriend James.”
Eddie’s brain is full of static for the rest of the afternoon but he gathers up a few things. James is in town for the weekend to visit his mom for her birthday. They got together after Steve recovered from getting his ass beat by Billy. James had apparently noticed Steve’s eyes lingering on a few boys in the locker room and took a chance to approach him when he caught Steve practicing with a bat at the diamond behind Hawkins High during the summer. They’d hooked up in the showers after and had a whirlwind summer romance until James had to leave for college and Steve went into his Senior year.
They were clearly still very close and Eddie could feel his entire body burn because this entire time, he could have had a chance. He could have been kissing Steve and making him smile like that. Steve Harrington was fucking bi and he’d never known. And the worst part is, Eddie can’t even hate James. He’s nice, which Eddie has known since working on a group project with the jock during his first go of high school. He clearly makes Steve happy if the way the brunette laughs and allows himself to be held close is any indication, murmuring low words in Steve’s ear that have the brunette biting his lip to fight a smile.
Even still the little green monster rages beneath his ribcage because it could have been him, it should have been him. Flirting with Steve until he was curious enough to ask for a touch, a kiss. Wandering hands like he’d always daydreamed of, bitten off whimpers so he could ask to hear all of Steve’s pretty noises. Finally letting Steve lay back have someone take care of him for once. And he’d already had all of that. It had been healthy and positive at least and Eddie would never trade that for anything but he’d just wanted to be the first.
And he’s so stupidly pathetic and gone over Steve that when he makes his excuses to leave and go meet up with Wayne to have breakfast/dinner before his uncle left for the plant that evening he couldn’t resist when Steve opens his arms for a hug. Even with James’ arm still around his waist. Eddie sinks into the touch with a pathetic sigh, breathing in the smell of Steve’s shampoo and Jame’s cologne as a soft ‘be safe, call if you need anything’ is softly whispered in his ear.
He nods and pulls away, but James catches his shoulder before he’s able to pull away entirely, “I’m glad you’re okay Eds, I saw that bs on the news and I was worried about you.” And he sounds so gaddamn sweet and genuine and the thing under Eddie’s ribs pulses because fuck James is so damn good and Eddie hates that he feels this way about him.
“Lucky I had Steve and the others in my corner.” Eddie says staring resolutely at the carpet.
James laughs and claps him on the shoulder gently, hand sliding down his arm, “Yeah, Steve’s good at that isn’t he? Makes it hard not to fall in love with a light like that.”
Eddie needs to leave, Now.
He gets back to the trailer and robotically cooks a meal for he and Wayne that he’s not sure he even tastes before crawling into bed and tossing and turning until the wee hours of the morning. It’s almost 3 am when he gives up on trying to rest and instead picks up his acoustic, he plays until he almost falls asleep bent in half over her and the dawn is creeping in.
It feels like his head has only just hit the pillow when there’s a knock on his trailer door. Grumbling to himself he shuffles down the hall in his boxers and the same shirt from yesterday. He opens the door and feels ice roll down his spine at the sight of Steve holding a cooler.
“Wanna go hang out at the Lake? I made sandwiches.” And Eddie wants to say something snide, he wants to ask what brought this on, he wants to address the James shaped elephant sitting on his chest. But he’s pathetic so he just nods and goes to put pants on.
They make it out to the lake in silence, Steve bopping along to the radio and Eddie still waking up in the passenger seat. They’re all used to the nightmares at this point so Steve, assuming that’s why he looks so rough, gives him his time and space. He knows Eddie will open up when the older man’s ready.
That moment comes when they’re sitting on the edge of the dock, toes dangling into the cool water of the lake.
“Are you going to get back together, you and James?” Eddie has his hands folded in his lap, facing forward towards the water. Steve is turned towards him though, one leg trailing through the water while the other is propped up behind Eddie.
“Oh goodness no, we had a lovely time when we were together but I think we’ve both grown since then. Moved on to liking other people even.” He nudges Eddie’s leg with his foot, causing the other to turn and look at him.
“What?” Eddie asks, his heart is in his throat again. He’s afraid of how much hope is shining in his eyes as Steve leans in towards him.
“Are you gonna kiss me or what Eddie, I’m getting tired of waiting for you to make a move.” Steve tugs him in, their teeth smacking together painfully until Eddie is able to tilt Steve’s head and slot their lips together properly.
Some time later Eddie is laying back on Steve’s chest, their fingers intertwined as they trade the occasional kiss. They should move soon, people are probably still coming to the lake frequently and their asses are going numb from the uncomfortable wood.
“Wait, if you liked me why did you let James kiss you?” Eddie asks, turning to Steve whose mouth curls into a shit eating grin.
“I knew he was coming into town, he agreed to help me make you jealous so you’d finally make a move. Told me all sorts of stories about how cute you were in school. You know he had a bit of a crush on you too.”
“Wait, what?!”

hi! i love your works so much and i have a request ^^ i wanted to ask if you could do a jealous and/or possessive eddie? maybe where steve and eddie are super close to finally admitting they like each other and just need one more push or something, or they're just newly dating. they're both at a gay bar, and steve's been receiving lots of stares and heated gazes from some of the ppl there? maybe a person was brave enough to try but eddie's right beside him watching the entire interaction.
i've come across a fair share amount of jealous/possessive steve in steddie stories and i wanted to see it being eddie for a change. tysm in advance and i can't wait to read the other requests with your amazing writing <3
I LOVE possessive Eddie!!! I really only see it in Kas!Eddie or vampire Eddie situations and I wish it was written more for just regular old human Eddie who just has entirely too much love for Steve to contain his emotions when someone else tries to make a move. I hope you like this little thing (2500 words!) I came up with and the other requests I've been putting out so far! - Mickala ❤️
---------------------------------------------------------
Robin convinced them she needed support.
Support Steve’s ass.
She was doing just fine from the moment they stepped in the door of this place.
So fine, in fact, she’d abandoned him and Eddie before they even got their first round of drinks brought to them.
Steve sat at the table with Eddie, awkwardly watching as people kept dancing and drinking and making out in dark corners of the bar.
He tried not to look too much, though. He didn’t want anyone to think he wasn’t comfortable here.
Quite the opposite, actually.
He’d been here a couple of times with just Robin: once before he figured out he was into men, once before he figured out he was into Eddie, and once more before this where he tried very hard to be into Eddie and failed.
But Eddie had insisted on coming when he overheard them talking about it, saying he hadn’t been here since high school and could use a night in a place where he could just be himself.
As if he wasn’t always obnoxiously (and beautifully) himself.
Robin had given Eddie a Look, but nodded in agreement, saying it would be awesome to have both her favorite guys there.
Which rubbed Steve a little wrong because he was her only favorite guy.
But he got over it because now Eddie was his only company, probably for the entire night going off of the way the girl with Robin was staring at her.
Ogling her.
Steve sighed. Eddie sighed.
They looked at each other and laughed.
“She do this to you every time?”
“No, usually we stick together. Must feel brave since you’re here with me.”
“Awww, she trusts me.”
Steve rolled his eyes, but there was probably more truth to that than he cared to admit.
Robin was often afraid to leave him alone, but she never hesitated if Eddie was with him.
He felt people staring at him, but he ignored it. He wasn’t here to find anyone and it would be silly to even try knowing that Eddie was right there.
But he’d be lying if he said it didn’t feel good to have people checking him out. He used to thrive on it in high school, feeling seen by anyone was better than being seen by no one.
Then, he hated it. He wanted to be invisible and he wanted everyone to focus on anyone and anything else in the room. He got his wish most of the time.
Until Eddie.
Eddie always included him in everything, pointing out when he was being quiet or moody, asking him questions to involve him in conversations, making sure he understood what Dustin was saying which was a challenge often.
He would touch his arm when he passed by him on the way to grab a drink from the kitchen or let their thighs touch on the couch on movie nights.
He let him come over after work on the nights he was too riled up, needing to let out some of his energy with a walk, but being too scared to do it alone.
So Eddie saw him, and made others see him, and he didn’t always love it, but he accepted it.
Tonight felt different, though.
All these eyes on him meant that people found him attractive, maybe wanted to dance with him or bring him home. If Eddie weren’t here, he’d maybe give it a shot with someone, try to find a way out of this hole he dug himself into with the first guy he’d admitted to himself he had feelings for.
But he also felt Eddie’s eyes on him, practically burning a hole through the side of his face every time he looked out at the crowd.
He felt heat crawling up his neck, to his cheeks.
Having all of Eddie’s attention was a lot for anyone, but especially Steve, who frequently thought about what it would be like to have Eddie’s attention on him in bed, or in the shower, or on the couch, or the pool, or-
“Did you want another drink?”
Steve looked down at the drink in his hand. He’d barely finished half of it, so he didn’t really know why Eddie was asking unless he just needed an excuse to get up.
“Um. No thanks. Probably should just have one anyway.”
“Sure.”
Eddie got up with his empty glass and started walking towards the bar.
Almost as soon as Eddie was gone, a taller man in a suit was taking his place at the table.
“Well, hi there, honey. Never seen you here before. First time?”
The guy was older, mid-thirties at least, and probably not the type of guy Steve would want to experiment with. But he was flirting, and he was kind of cute.
Steve could let himself enjoy a little casual flirting, right? It wouldn’t have to lead to anything.
“No, but I don’t come often.”
Steve rested his arms on the table, head in his hand. He grinned at the man, that Harrington charm practically beaming off of him.
“You could come tonight if you wanted to join me in the back.”
That was smooth. Sleazy, but smooth.
Steve didn’t drop his grin, but he shook his head.
“I don’t think I’m interested in just hooking up in the bathroom. Maybe you could buy me a drink?”
He had no intention of drinking another drink, but he figured this guy would lose interest if he showed he was more needy.
He was wrong.
The guy practically tripped over his feet to stand up from the booth.
“What would you like?”
“Oh. Uh.”
“He’s good, man. How about you go buy a drink for someone interested?”
Eddie came out of nowhere. Seriously, Steve had just seen him at the bar a few seconds before he spoke.
“Is this your boyfriend or something?”
Steve cleared his throat awkwardly as Eddie stood taller, more intimidating.
“Does it matter? I’m asking you nicely to go.”
“I don’t think it’s up to you. I asked him.”
Eddie looked like he wanted to punch the guy, and Steve could admit to himself silently that he wanted to see it.
But he didn’t quite understand why Eddie was reacting like this; He’d assumed Eddie would want to try to hook up with someone while he was here and wouldn’t want to spend all his time with Steve.
“Steve? Do you wanna get a drink with this guy?”
No, he didn’t. He hadn’t even before Eddie came back. But a part of him had to wonder if maybe Eddie’s reaction was just to protect Steve from an older guy.
“I actually have to drive us back home so I probably shouldn’t have another drink. Thanks though.”
The guy mumbled something before turning and leaving, shaking his head as he walked to the bar.
Eddie slid into the booth next to him instead of across from him, letting most of their sides touch.
Steve couldn’t help the way his body naturally curled into Eddie’s, the comfort and safety of his body drawing Steve in without effort.
It should have ended there. Steve should have just let himself stay rested against Eddie’s side until Robin was done.
He did for a minute, but then his brain decided it needed explanations.
“What was wrong with that guy buying me a drink?”
Eddie was quiet for a moment, his body tense against Steve’s.
“I just don’t think he was the right kind of person to be buying you a drink. You deserve better than that.”
Steve’s brows furrowed.
Eddie didn’t know the guy, he could’ve been really nice. Other than the propositioning as his first line, he seemed like he was willing to do whatever Steve wanted to get more time with him.
“Who is the right kind of person then?”
“Someone younger. Maybe someone who doesn’t wear a damn suit to a gay bar. This is a casual place, there’s no need to flaunt your super important job. Plus, he could see your drink was still half full, he should’ve known you didn’t want one.”
“You offered me a drink before you got up.”
“That’s different.”
“How?”
“Because I’m not trying to get you drunk to sleep with me.”
Yeah, and wasn’t that a shame?
Steve dropped it. It wasn’t worth arguing with Eddie and he didn’t want to ruin any of the fun they could have.
“Should we dance?”
Eddie pulled away and looked at him like he’d grown a second head.
“You want to dance with me?”
“Why not? We’ve been abandoned by Robin and the music isn’t bad.”
The music wasn’t bad to Steve. Eddie, however, was suffering through it as it was, and that was without having to dance to it.
“Pleeeeease?” Steve pouted at Eddie, eyes wide.
“You can’t make that face. It’s not fair.”
Steve kept making the face because being fair wasn’t something he cared about.
Eddie stood up, holding his hand out towards Steve to help him stand from the table.
Steve took it, ignoring the way he wanted to collapse against Eddie the second he stood up.
They made it to the dance floor, where a surprising amount of people were dancing in pairs and small groups, enjoying the fact that they could safely here.
Just when Steve turned to Eddie, the music changed to Head Over Heels by Tears For Fears.
Steve tried not to take it as a sign.
Eddie suddenly looked even more nervous, like he’d planned on maybe getting away with just jumping around to the music and now he couldn’t.
Just when Steve was going to give him an out, another guy, this one younger, but not as nice looking, wrapped his arm around Steve’s shoulder.
“How ‘bout we dance, sugar?”
The guy was drunk.
Steve wasn’t interested in ruining his favorite song by dancing with this drunk guy.
“He’s busy,” Eddie said firmly.
The guy backed up a bit, but still had his hand against Steve’s arm, resting there with enough of a grip to keep him upright.
“Sorry, you got somethin’ against me dancin’ with him?”
“Yeah, that’s why I just said he’s busy.”
Eddie pushed the guy’s hand off of Steve’s arm and put his own around Steve’s waist, pulling him against his side with no room for air or argument.
Steve tried to catch his breath, his heart skipping a beat and his lungs exhaling instead of inhaling.
“Maybe you should let him say if he’s busy or not.”
Steve was missing his favorite song to argue with a guy he wasn’t interested in when he could be dancing with Eddie.
Unacceptable.
“I’m dancing with him. Find someone else.”
The guy rolled his eyes and walked away.
Eddie turned and adjusted his arms so they rested on Steve’s hips.
Steve didn’t know what to do.
“Have you never slow danced before, King Steve?”
“Uh. Just once.”
“Oh? Let me help you then.”
Eddie took his hands in his own and gently placed them around his neck, pulling himself closer to Steve when his hands found his hips again.
“This okay?”
“Yeah.”
Steve wasn’t sure how this was happening, how this was real.
He just knew he didn’t want it to end.
He rested his head against Eddie’s shoulder, letting himself enjoy what would probably be his only chance at dancing with Eddie for the rest of his life.
“Why do you keep sending people away?”
Why was Steve determined to ruin tonight with his stupid fucking questions?
“What do you mean?”
“It just seems like you don’t wanna share.”
Eddie didn’t respond.
Steve looked up at him, but his face was hard to read in the darkness of the bar.
“Eds?”
“I don’t.” Eddie cleared his throat. “I don’t wanna share you. I like having you all to myself. Sorry if I’ve ruined your night.”
He started to pull away and Steve panicked. He couldn’t say that and then leave.
“What do you mean? You haven’t ruined anything. I wanted to spend it with you, anyways.”
Eddie was searching his eyes, looking for any sign of a lie.
“Steve, I-” The song changed, but it was another slow song. They kept slowly rocking and staring at each other. “I have to tell you something. You’re probably gonna hate me and wanna leave me here in Indy.”
Steve gulped. Could he possibly have feelings for Steve?
“I uh. I sent them away because I was jealous.”
“What? Why?”
“Because I love you so fucking much I don’t know what to do with it all the time! Sometimes I hide in the bathroom during movie nights so I can scream into the towels. Do you know how ridiculous that is? I’ve even been caught by Max before and she promised not to say anything if I gave her $20.”
“Oh.”
Oh? What the hell Steve, say something else.
“So, I get it if you hate me. I mean, I don’t know how this happened and I have no right to send potential dates away because I want to keep you to myself.”
Steve leaned up and placed a kiss on Eddie’s cheek.
“I’m glad you got jealous.”
Eddie was blushing now.
“What?”
“If you hadn’t been jealous, you probably wouldn’t have told me all this, would you?”
“No, I guess not.”
“You know what helps with jealousy?”
Eddie looked down at him, more confused than ever.
Steve didn’t wait for him to respond.
“Making out in the bathroom of a gay bar.”
Eddie’s eyes practically bugged out of his head as he registered what Steve was saying.
“You wanna do that? With me?”
“Well, I certainly don’t wanna do it with anyone else. And you won’t let me do it with anyone else. So maybe we should do it together.”
Eddie grabbed his wrist and wordlessly led them to the bathroom in the back of the bar.
It wasn’t empty, but the single stall was available and Eddie made it pretty clear what their intentions were when he dragged Steve right into it, closing and locking the door only a second before his hot lips were on Steve’s.
It was better than what Steve could have possibly imagined, but still not enough.
Now that he knew Eddie wanted him, he wanted everything Eddie could give him.
And Eddie seemed to want to give it all to him.
His lips were almost too much, but Steve couldn’t get enough.
They weren’t even in a bathroom anymore, floating high above the clouds with happiness and contentment.
Until a knock on the stall door nearly made Steve give himself another concussion.
“Dingus One and Dingus Two! Super happy for you both, but it’s time to go.”
“Shit.”
“What time is it?”
“It’s nearly one in the morning and we agreed to leave by midnight. I got distracted by boobies.”
“Don’t we all,” Steve said, as Eddie let out a loud laugh.
They opened the stall door and Robin sighed.
“Fix your hair. I’ll be at the car.”
Steve looked in the mirror as she left the bathroom, smirking at Eddie’s reflection behind him in a similar state of disarray.
“Okay?”
“So okay.”
“You owe me a dance.”
“What? Why? We danced!”
“But it got interrupted. And I wanna dance with you.”
Eddie sighed, but smiled fondly at Steve.
“I’ll dance with you whenever you want, sweetheart.”

It was fine, this was fine, he just needed a moment to recollect himself. Surely he'd misheard the group, that couldn't be right. But then, wait.
Eddie had been distant lately, sneaking off from everyone and whispering into his phone a smile on his face. Had Steve really been so oblivious to his friends' changes?
He leaned against the wall in his room, his head tilted back as he tried and failed to keep his eyes from tearing up. This was a good thing if Eddie had found someone to love. I mean, honestly, how long was he expecting Eddie to be available, the man was sex personified, albeit dorky as hell, but still, it didn't take a rocket scientist to notice how absolutely gorgeous this man was, obviously he wasn't going to be single forever.
Steve breathed in deep, and wiped his face, rinsing it quickly in the bathroom to chase away the tear tracks on his cheeks and plastered a smile on his face before jogging back out to the living room of their apartment.
Eddie was sitting on the couch giggling with Chrissy as a knock came to the door of the apartment, Eddie shot up his grin even wider before bouncing over to the door and opening it. Steve couldn't believe the man he saw Eddie ushering in, he for all real intents and purposes was a carbon copy of Steve himself. From the polo shirt, the coiffed hair, light wash jeans, to his pristine white Nikes. The man smiled politely at everyone and turned to Eddie leaning in and kissing him on the cheek. Steve felt like his entire soul was shattering, he wrapped his arms around his stomach leaning against the kitchen counter, and looked out of the window watching the clouds pass by.
So, here he was, heartbroken all because he hadn't found the courage to tell his friend he was in love with him, and now he had to fake being okay, while clearly having to watch the man he loved, loving someone else.
Robin came and stood next to him, bumping her shoulder against his, an eyebrow raised. He shrugged, leaning his head against her shoulder and she placed a sweet kiss on his temple. Steve wasn't sure how he was going to survive this, but he knew he had to get it together. He was either going to have avoid Eddie or push these feelings down if he didn't want to lose his friend. He wasn't sure which option was worse, all he knew was that he was currently living his own personal version of hell.

Jealous?
Thanks so much to the amazing @rogueddie for letting me write this!!!! Hope it lives to standards :)
.
Eddie had a problem.
A Steve Harrington sized problem.
Said problem was standing behind the counter at Family Video while the woman in front of him blatantly flirted with him.
It wasn’t the woman Eddie was worried about— she had at least five years of age on Steve, so maybe there was cause for concern— but Steve wasn’t paying her the time of day.
Instead, he was glancing over the woman’s shoulder at Eddie, who lurked in the aisles, and kept making faces and blabbling his mouth mockingly whenever she wasn’t paying attention.
Eddie was desperately holding back snickers and snorts. He couldn’t help but let a giggle escape when Steve moved his hand in a “blabbing” motion when she said something about her ex-husband (HUSBAND) again. The woman whipped around and glared at Eddie. Eddie gave her a finger waggle wave he realized belatedly was the same one Steve does.
Steve himself was almost beet red in the face with his effort to hold in his laugh. Eddie was amazed at how long he’d lasted.
The moment the door closed behind her Steve put his face in his arms on the counter and full on cackled. Eddie was quick to join.
They were still laughing when Robin came back from the bathroom.
“Is she gone?” she asked, looking oddly between the two of them.
Steve nodded, not having enough breath to get words out. Robin sighed a dramatic breath of relief.
“Oh thank God. Cause she looked one second away from bringing up some stupid shit like her failed marriage—“
That sent Steve and Eddie into another spiral of laughs.
“There’s no way she actually did.” Robin deadpanned.
Eddie nodded vigorously. “She fucking did!”
“Four times! As if bringing up how she was newly-single would make me want her. Did she look in a mirror before leaving? She’s closer to my dads age.”
Eddie snorted, trying to get his laughter under control enough to say “Even man-whore Richard Harrington wouldn’t go within a 20 foot radius of her.”
Steve didn’t waste a second before racking on: “Doesn’t need to get too close with how far back that hairline stretches.”
Robin and Eddie laughed themselves to tears.
And that was how it went.
A woman would come into the video store, shoot their shot with Steve, and Steve would laugh about it with Robin and Eddie later.
And it was fun. Eddie found it fun. Cause he knew Steve would always shoot the girls down, however nice or rudely he has to be about it.
Until—
Until.
It was a Friday, and as per usual on Fridays, Eddie was at Steve’s. Of course, it wasn’t just him— Robin, Nancy, Jonathan and Argyle were there as well.
They’d been hanging out whenever they all could before Nancy and Jonathan went to college and Argyle back to Cali. Hence the Friday night hang outs.
Tonight was no different, except for one thing.
“So explain to me once again why we have to drive all the way out to Indy for this?” Jonathan complained.
Nancy sighed and leant into him. “Cause there aren’t any good bars in Hawkins. And everywhere in Hawkins knows that almost none of us are of legal age.”
Jonathan grumbled but conceded, Wheeler had a point.
“Besides,” added Robin. “It’d be nice to finally get the hell out and see some new people.”
“Amen.” Agreed Eddie and Argyle at the same time. They both chuckled.
“Yeah well, I’d like to go soon before my social battery drains itself dead.” Remarked Jonathan, throwing an arm around his girlfriend’s shoulders.
“We’d have left already if SOMEBODY DIDN’T HAVE TO SPEND HALF AN HOUR PRIMPING HIMSELF!” Yelled Robin towards the stairs.
Steve had been MIA since Eddie got there at least 20 minutes ago. According to Robin he was still getting ready.
“PUT A LID ON IT BIRD-FOR-BRAINS, IM COMING!” Was the reply she got from the top of the stairs, where Steve was now coming from.
Nancy and Argyle snorted at the insult, but Eddie’s mind was rather taken up by the cut-off jean shorts Steve wore that showed more of his thighs than Eddie thought necessary for anyone’s functioning brain. He was also wearing what looked like the softest sweater he owned; a dark purple one that seriously brought out the green in his eyes.
Nancy whistled, Robin clapped. Argyle grinned at Steve and said
“Hey man! That’s the sweater I got you!”
Steve grinned right back and nodded. “Uh huh! Dude it’s like— SO fucking comfy you don’t even understand.”
The sweater was a little big on Steve, hanging over his thumbs a bit in the sleeves and landing just below the waistline of his shorts. If Eddie wasn’t so focused on the many moles on his thighs that were on display, the fact that Argyle had gotten Steve a sweater may have rubbed him the wrong way.
As it stood, Steve looked good.
He looked stunning, actually, in his glasses and his hair slightly ruffled in a delicate manner and his eyes wide and bright and—
“Eddie!”
He blinked and Steve was standing in front of him, no one else in the room.
“Huh?”
Steve grinned giddily and laughed at him. “C’mon dude, you’re my ride up, remember?”
Oh yeah. They’d split everyone between his and Argyles vans.
“Isn’t Buckley with us?” Eddie asked as he grabbed his keys and headed out the door.
“Yeah, but I think she’s sticking with Jon and them on the way up.”
Eddie nodded and averted his gaze once more. There was a reason he’d skipped gym and avoided the mall.
That reason was glaring at him with all of its dotted moles and freckles and faint scars.
Jesus Christ he needed a cigarette.
The ride up was uneventful, peaceful even. Eddie let Steve have control over the radio, something Steve thought was normal but was downright foreign to anyone else. Eddie usually fought tooth and nail for control over the music but the sight of Steve singing and drumming his legs (holy shit his thighs jiggled—) and jamming out with a bright smile to whatever Tears for Fears or ABBA song he put on was worth it.
He followed behind Argyle and reluctantly sang under his breath with Steve to Head Over Heels.
The club they ended up going to was a little deeper into the city than they’d initially thought, and was slightly crowded when they got in.
Eddie was immediately hit with the smell of sweat and booze but not in an entirely bad way. In a way that told him that people here had fun.
It was bright and loud and the air tasted like fries (though Eddie might just be hungry). They took an empty table booth in a corner in the back.
After dropping their jackets off and everyone picking a seat, Steve got up to get everyone drinks.
“You want me to come with?” Eddie asked worriedly. It was Steve’s first time in Indy in a while and his first time out of Hawkins since the fall of Vecna. Sue Eddie for being cautious.
But Steve smiled sweetly at him and shook his head. “I’ll be alright, Eds. Be right back.” He knocked his knuckles on Eddie’s head affectionately and walked off. Eddie may have spent a second ogling before snapping his gaze to the table.
“So?”
Eddie looked at Nancy with a raised eyebrow. She raised one right back.
“Soooo…?”
She sighed. “Oh you’re hopeless.”
Jonathan snickered.
“Wha—“
“Are you gonna make a move tonight?” Argyle elaborated.
Eddie shot up real fast. “Make a move? On who, Steve?”
“Yea, on Steve, doofus!” Robin reprimanded.
“There’s no board to make a move on.” Eddie pushed stubbornly. Because it was true. There was nothing there.
Robin groaned and dropped her head to the table.
“Dude, relax your knee. It’s shaking the whole table.” Jonathan tapped Eddie’s leg under the booth.
“Sorry, sorry. He’s been gone a while, right?” Eddie craned his head to look around the bodies of people dancing.
Robin huffed. “Yeah, kinda. But there are six of us, maybe he’s having trouble carrying all the drinks.”
Nancy suddenly kicked his leg under the table, a lot harder than her boyfriend had earlier. Eddie winced.
“Go help him.” Nancy all but demanded.
Eddie was up and away in a second, happy to have an excuse. He faintly heard Nancy and Robin high five behind him.
He weaved through the dancing crowd, bodies jostling him and pushing him forward until he got to the bar and finally spotted Steve and—
And?
Something bubbled low in Eddie’s gut at the man standing in front of Steve. He was taller than both Steve and Eddie, well-built and had a bit of a beard going. He was leaning on the bar next to Steve, sort of caging him in. The scene made Eddie mad for reasons he didn’t give himself time to think about before he inserting himself.
“Steve!”
Both Steve and the asshole’s heads turned to Eddie. Steve’s eyes lit up in recognition and relief while the man’s narrowed in anger at being interrupted.
“You know him, doll?”
Eddie wanted to make the man spit his own teeth out. Nobody else got to call Steve pet names. Just Eddie. It was an Eddie Thing, not an Everybody Thing. Fuck this guy.
“Yeah—“ Steve started.
“Yeah, he does. And yet I don’t think he knows you.”
Eddie stood shoulder to shoulder with Steve, glaring daggers at the douche.
The man scoffed and huffed, walking away and muttering under his breath. Eddie scowled until he could see the guy and his stupid beard. He finally turned to Steve.
Who was absolutely red in the face.
“You alright, sweetheart?” Eddie asked worriedly. “He wasn’t bothering you right? He seemed like a dick, looked like one even before I got up close.”
Steve stared at Eddie wide-eyed with his pretty lips parted. He blinked and spluttered a response.
“U—um, yeah! Yeah, no, I’m— I’m good. I’m alright. I’m great! Yep, great! Uh—“
“Are you sure?” Eddie was concerned, never having heard Steve stumble over a simple sentence so much.
Steve nodded vigorously before turning to the bar snappily. Eddie could still see the red painting his ears.
“Yep! Perfect! Could you help with the drinks? I don’t think I can carry them all, thanks!” And he was off back to the table.
Eddie stared after him for a moment before slowly grabbing the other three drinks and following back through the sea of bodies.
Steve was sat by the time Eddie got back to the booth, whispering heatedly with Robin, Eddie only managing to hear Steve hiss to her “that wouldn’t work!” before noticing his presence and shutting up all together.
Eddie raised an eyebrow but let it slide while he gave Nancy and Jon their drinks. He slid into the booth next to Steve who sat between him and Robin and across from Jonathan.
For the next 10 minutes, they all talked. They talked and laughed and joked and drank. But Steve seemed more in his head than usual.
Eddie was just working up the courage to ask him what was wrong when a guy came up to their table, eyeing Steve. Eddie immediately tensed.
“Hi.”
All six heads turned to the dude who just showed up. But that didn’t deter him much.
“I was just wondering if pretty boy here wanted to dance?” He smirked at Steve, who Eddie felt tense up beside him.
“Um—“ Steve’s voice was kind of shaky, barely. But it was enough (mixed with the anger already brewing in his gut at the NERVE of this guy) for Eddie to finally step in.
“He’s alright.”
Six heads suddenly turned on him.
“Excuse me?” The asshole asked.
“You’re excused.” Eddie waved his hand in a shooing motion.
“Well I hadn’t exactly—“
“And I hadn’t exactly /asked/, now have I? Goodbye.” Eddie didn’t even bother offering a smile to hide the aggression in his tone. His message was clear: Get Lost.
The douche walked away grumbling and conversation soon resumed at the table.
“What was that!?” Jonathan asked incredulously.
Nancy and Argyle were both openly staring at Eddie in bewilderment.
Eddie shifted, but was more focused on the fact that Steve seemed to relax again.
“The dude was being an asshole. Just told him to get lost, not a big deal.”
“He was just asking Steve to dance? I don’t see the problem there.” Robin cut in.
It gave Eddie pause for thinking. She was right; there really was no problem there, so why had he been so upset about the dude asking Steve to dance. God just the thought of it left a bad taste in his mouth.
“It’s fine, Rob. I was just gonna tell him no anyway.”
Eddie looked at Steve then, who was a whole new shade of red.
“Are you alright? You’re all red again.” Eddie worried. Jonathan snorted into his drink and then winced when Steve kicked him under the table. Steve looked at Eddie.
“Yeah, I’m fine. Just a bit overwhelmed in the tight space I think. You wanna— uh— you wanna go dance?”
Eddie didn’t waste a second with his answer. “Sure.”
Eddie watched Steve and Robin have a silent conversation with their eyes and expressions before Robin grinned in victory and waved at them eagerly.
“Buh-bye! Have fun!” She sing-songed. Steve shot her a glare.
Eddie led Steve to the dance floor somewhere towards the edge of the crowd where there was less people. They really just stood there talking and sipping on their drinks while everyone around them danced.
“Hey, uh— thanks for telling him to back off. I’ve, I’ve never actually… been flirted with? By a guy, I mean— this is like— a brand new thing. But he and the other dude seemed just really creepy so— uh, thanks.” Steve stumbled through.
Eddie stared at his wide, earnest eyes and wondered how no guy had ever flirted with Steve before tonight. Even if the idea of it ever happening made him want to hurt somebody.
(Even though Eddie knows that guys have flirted with Steve before. Knows that he didn’t just make up those looks Tommy Hagan and Billy Hargrove gave him.)
So Eddie smiled and shook his head. “You’re all good, sweetheart. Just don’t want you running into the wrong guys.”
That pretty blush was back again, making Steve look even more breathtaking under the florescent lights and making his smile twice as bright.
Then they were rudely interrupted.
“Hey, babyboy.” Came an obnoxious call from behind Eddie. The guy was, again, taller that Steve, but this time he was barely taller than Eddie (a/n lemme live in slightly shorter Steve fantasy ok—). Eddie immediately hated him and his entire existence. Who just called people that? Babyboy? Was he serious or delusional?
Eddie watched Steve’s shoulders tense awkwardly while the guy spoke. His anger only grew and grew.
“Alright that’s enough dude, he’s not interested.”
The guy didn’t say anything to Eddie but kept talking to Steve which only served to irk Eddie further.
“I said he’s not interested ass face.” Eddie grabbed the guy’s shoulder. He finally looked at Eddie, seeming bored.
“He hasn’t said anything? Why not let the babydoll decide, huh?” He smirked at Steve. Eddie wanted to puke and scream at the same time. He felt like he was chewing on nails listening to this guy. Babydoll? First babyboy and now BABYDOLL??? Who the fuck was this dude? And more importantly would the possible assault charges be worth it?
“Um— yeah, I’m sorry. I’m not really interested in looking for anybody tonight.” Steve confirmed.
“Oh c’mon, doll face, don’t be like that.”
Oh the assault charges would so be worth it.
“He just said he wasn’t interested so fuck off.” Eddie shoved his shoulder. The dude finally turned to look at Eddie, leveling him with a glare that Eddie happily returned tenfold. If looks could kill the guy would have been fucking obliterated on sight.
“If he wasn’t interested then why’s he dressed like that, huh?”
Jail was looking mighty fine to Eddie.
“I’m right fucking here, asshat.” Steve spoke up. “And Im dressed like this because I look good and I know it. Not for fucks like you who have to beg for scraps to get by. I said I wasn’t interested and you’re just causing more of a headache if anything.”
Eddie grinned at Steve. It was so hot when he got all bitchy.
The asshole scoffed. “Oh so baby’s got a mouth on him.”
Eddie finally snapped, those assault charges no where in mind when he punched the guy in the face.
“Eddie!” Steve yelled, absolutely flabbergasted at the sudden violence.
The guy left after that with a threat of harassment charges. Steve took Eddie outside to the alleyway on the side of the club to get away from the crowd and to better examine his freshly bruised knuckles.
“You didn’t have to punch him.”
“He fucking had it coming.” Eddie spat through clenched teeth. He was still seething. And Steve was prodding at the bruises but that was neither here nor there.
Steve looked at Eddie, still holding his bruised hand. His eyes were wide as always and his cheeks flushed once more. His eyes seemed to search Eddie for something.
“Was it cause he was an ass?”
Eddie scoffed. “Of course! He was an ass and made you uncomfortable and—“
And I wanted to be the one to call you baby.
“And?” Steve prompted.
“And… and I hated how he talked to you.”
Steve looked down at Eddie hand, the blush rising to ears again. Eddie hooked a finger under Steve’s chin with the hand that wasn’t bruised and being held.
“Hey, you alright? You’re getting all quiet again.”
Steve’s eyes flitted back and forth between Eddie’s own before he sighed.
“Eddie.. I can’t— I don’t understand.”
Eddie pouted, confused. “Don’t understand what? There’s not much to it, honey.”
Steve cheeks pinkened again with the endearment. “Not— not that. I get that he was a dick— a massive dick attitude to make up for what he was surely lacking—“
That startled a laugh out of Eddie.
“—but I guess I don’t understand the other times? You were never like this before when anyone else flirted, so what changed tonight?”
And wasn’t that a thought.
What changed?
Well for starters, he wanted to kiss Steve. He wanted to kiss Steve senseless, shove him up against a wall and stick his tongue down his throat until he was breathless an begging for it.
So that’s changed.
But he also wanted to hug Steve and hold him right and call him things like Sweetheart and Honey and Love and Baby (which he already does anyway for the most part). He wanted to take Steve places and show him things. Wanted to give Steve every pretty rock he found and show him every cool leaf he saw.
What changed was that he wanted Steve in every which way Steve would let him have him.
But of course, Eddie didn’t express these aloud.
“Eddie…” Steve stared wide-eyed with his mouth opened in shock, his face a violent shade of red.
Or maybe he did express them aloud.
He’d drank more than he thought.
And then Steve was kissing him. Steve was pulling him in by the hand he was holding and pressing their lips together in a kiss that Eddie would never forget, not matter how much he’d drank that night.
They let go of each others hands, Eddie immediately grabbing Steve’s waist and Steve tangling his hands in Eddie hair.
By the time they’d pulled away to breathe Eddie bad fulfilled his wish of shoving Steve against a wall and sticking his tongue down his throat.
“So you were jealous?” Steve teased, playing with Eddie hair where his arms were still wrapped around his neck.
Eddie grumbled under his breath and kissed Steve to shut him up. Steve hummed and smiled into the kiss.
“Kissing me into going to make me drop it, Munson. You were totally jealous of those guys in there.”
Eddie huffed and stooped lower to kiss at Steve neck, gaining an immediate reaction with Steve’s stuttered breath and sudden silence. Eddie chuckled.
“Oh? I thought kissing you wasn’t going to make you drop it.”
Steve hit his shoulder weakly. “Shut it, asshole— mm!” Eddie bit down lightly on the side of his neck.
Then the door to the alley was opening and Robin was telling them to get their horny asses home before thy got arrested for public indecency.
So they agreed to pick up at home. And the whole ride there was filled with relentless teasing about Eddie’s apparent jealousy towards any guy who so much as looked at Steve oddly.
.
It’s rushed I know but it’s like 2am on a school night 😭 and I’m not upset with the results. Could it be better? Yeah. Could it be worse? Absolutely. It’s not my finest work but oh well 🤷

imagine eddie’s out of work because reefer rick got put away for good, and rick kept such a tight lid on his own supplier that eddie has no clue where to buy from now. he’s applied to a couple of jobs, but nobody’s gotten back to him yet. thankfully, his saving grace comes in the form of a flyer for someone seeking a babysitter.
enter single dad steve, who just needs someone to watch his five kids (and occasionally the miracle baby hopper-byers twins from nextdoor, because they’re best friends with his kids and refuse to be separated from them for longer than twelve hours) for a couple hours while he takes a much-needed nap every few days. he can’t keep asking their auntie robin and auntie vickie, after all. even if they’re more than willing to watch them, steve feels like it’s too big of an ask without payment, which they refuse to accept. and if the babysitter that responds to his flyer just so happens to be a very attractive guy whose guitar-playing and d&d skills are enough to captivate said children’s collective attention for those hours, well…that’s just an added bonus.

“Lovers lake, six o’clock…tell Steve and don’t be late!”
Robin rolled her eyes, chuckling to herself as she watched Keith usher you out the forbidden front doors to Family Video, for the tenth time this week.
You had been banned from the establishment far too many times, starting the day both Robin and Steve got the job. Each time you had managed to make Keith like you..until he didn’t, resulting in your permanent banishment. With each time you found a way in, and yet it always ended with you being shoved out the doors.
Surprisingly he hadn’t discovered that Robin and Steve had been letting you in through the back door, and every time he asked how you passed him you couldn’t help but laugh.
“Don’t come back.”
The doors fall shut behind Keith as he stands there, watching to make sure you got into your car and left. Sticking out your tongue at him, you promptly climb into your car and set off. You had to grab a few things for the ‘hang’ before you made your way over to Eddie’s. He had to be told physically because you knew there was no way he was going to remember the plans that were made a week ago, he never could.
You pull your car to a stop in the parking lot of Bradley’s Big Buy, determined to gather everything you could think of to make the night's shenanigans all that much better. Grabbing a cart from the front you traipse around the supermarket, grabbing assortments of chips in every flavor that you craved, bags of marshmallows and chocolate bars, the basic essentials for smores. Swiping a few sodas off the shelves and sticking them into your cart, so focused you didn’t notice the long-haired freak approaching you.
    “Y/n?”
Eyes darting up to meet his tall lean figure, leaning over your very cart with a wild smile on his face.
“Jesus, Eddie!” Your hand finds refuge on your chest, as you try to settle your nerves. Eddie’s smile is followed by a soft chuckle, as he moves around to stand beside you.
“Sorry, didn’t mean to scare you.”
You roll your eyes, playfully shoving him away with a grunt. He barrels into the nearby shelf for dramatic effect before he's back at your side in no time. You can’t help the little laugh that escapes you at his touch for the theatrics, he always seemed to have a knack for them.
“It’s okay, I was actually going to come find you after this little excursion on mine,” you say with a smile. His brow shoots up, as he looks at you, confusion written all over his features.
“And why would you do that?” he asks, peeking through the contents of your shopping cart, grimacing at your chip selection. Picking up the different bags and exchanging them for different flavours.
“The lake?” you lead, wondering if it would spark any realization in that cloudy head of his. It clearly didn’t when he looked at you, brow raised higher and eyes narrowed.
“The lake?” He repeats slowly. You could see the numerous broken gears in his head turning as he struggled to figure it out. Pushing the cart forward, Eddie in tow beside you, you reach for a box of graham crackers.
“Yes, the lake, doofus. We made the plans last week..you said you’d bring the dr-“ eyes wide you look around quickly, dropping your voice to a low whisper, “you said you’d bring the drugs?”
Eddie can’t help but laugh at your cautious measure, as it finally dawns on him. “Ohh, yeah I remember..I was just testing you,” he says, with no confidence in his rebuttal, and it showed. You just roll your eyes, smiling as you carry on.
“So, you’re still coming right?” You say, glancing over at him, “it wasn’t really a question now that I think about it, nor is saying no an option, so.”
“Well, then I guess you know my answer then…don’t you.” He offers a wink and you just smile at him, not sure how to take it.
“Okay, perfect..so you’ve got the goods then?”
Snagging some other necessities, matches, fire sticks. Once you’re content with the items in your cart, you stop and turn to Eddie, eyes staring up at him expectantly.
“Yeah, I’ve got it. It’s at my trailer.” Eddie pushes you aside, now taking the cart from you as he pushes it towards the registers. “Don’t worry about it, sweetheart, I’ve got it.”
He helps you unload the items onto the belt, standing there watching as you pay for the items before he helps you carry the bags off.
“Do you want to just ride with me, we can head off to the lake right after we hit up the trailer?”
He wasn’t really asking, because he had already started to load the bags into his van, opening the passenger door for you.
    “Yeah, I guess,” you chuckle.
******
Never again would you ride anywhere with Eddie Munson. You clung to the side of the door, as he cut corners, and ran through the stop lights. In all honesty, you weren’t convinced that he even had a driver's license, something he and Robin had in common if that was the case. As soon as he pulled into his home, you made a show of it, throwing yourself down to the grass, “Oh sweet sweet land! I will never take you for granted again!”
You don’t miss the roll of Eddie’s eyes, as he makes his way around the car, thinking that by some chance you had fallen, only to see that you had done so on purpose.
“Ha ha ha” he teases, holding his hand out for you to take, only to pull it away when you reach for it.
“Well, now that's just rude, Munson.”
Soft chuckles escape him, as he makes his way inside, emerging before you have even had the chance to follow. Carrying his little tin ‘drug’ box that he carried almost everywhere.
“Tada,” he exclaims, holding it up triumphantly. “Let's go!”
He climbs back into the van, waiting for you to reluctantly climb in as well before he’s peeling out down the road once more. Despite his loud music and the hectic driving, you didn’t mind being in the car with him, in fact, you quite enjoyed his company. You had been extremely pleased when he finally gave in and started hanging out with you, Steve and Robin, he added a new aspect to the group that you didn’t even know you had been lacking, and you were grateful that he did.
“You look scared,” he points out, the subtlest smirk on his face as he cuts yet another corner. The dumbfounded look on your face wasn’t missed by him at all, if anything it earned a little laugh from him.
“Yeah well, you drive like a headless chicken! Do you even have your license, Munson?” Gasping as you see a squirrel rush onto the road, whilst Eddie expertly maneuvers around it.
“Eh, technically no,” he grimaces, his eyes trained on you instead of on the road like they should be. Nothing but panic sets into you, clinging tighter to the handle of the door.
“Well that’s not unsettling in the slightest!” you gripe. He just chuckles, turning his attention back to the road. “You’re completely safe in my hands,” he winks.
As much as you would like to think that you were, you seriously doubted it. You wanted to screw your eyes shut, but you knew that if you did, there was a chance that you would never be allowed the luxury of opening them ever again. Only when the van pulled to a complete stop, and Eddie climbed out of the car, did you exhale the breath that you had been holding onto. He could call you dramatic all he wanted but you knew the truth, you had nearly witnessed your own death, and lived to tell the tale.
Clamoring out of the vehicle, completely unaware that just across the way, Robin and Steve sat comfortably in the confines of Steve’s car, waiting for the rest of you. Stumbling over to Eddie to give him a shove at a smartass comment he had made.
Robin didn't have to say much, not to say that she didn’t say anything, but it wasn't needed, not when the look on her face said enough. Steve could tell without a doubt that something was bothering her, and when he followed her eyesight straight to you, he had an inkling as to what it was. Robin hadn’t disclosed anything regarding the nature of the relationship between the two of you, all Steve knew was that she had somewhat of a crush on you, not the fact that you two had been casually dating for some weeks now.
“Why is she with Munson?” Robin gripes. Steve could hear the discontent in her tone, the way she said Eddie’s name like it was something utterly foul. She had nothing against Eddie, in fact she liked him a lot, but when it came to seeing you with him, well things were slightly different.
“You okay,” Steve asks, his brow arched ever so slightly.
Robin doesn’t respond, far too focused on the exchanges going on between you and Eddie, every little laugh, and longing looks that you shared.
“What are they even laughing at? It can’t be that funny..Right?” she says hopefully, her eyes glued to you. Steve shrugs, watching along with her, “What’s going on with you and her?” He asks, using his best ‘I don't really care I’m just curious’ tone of voice. Steve had always been respectful of Robin’s exploits, despite being more than curious, but when it came to you, he wanted to know more. Perhaps it was simply because he wanted to be supportive, but also the fact that if his intuitions were correct, there was something more here than meets the eye, something that Robin hadn’t bothered to share with him.
    “Nothing, nothing, I'm good.”
Noticing them sitting in the car, you rush over, reaching for the door handle to the passenger's side, as you drag Robin out of the car.
“You made it!” you remark, pulling her into a hug.
“Yeah, I made it too,” Steve adds, leaning against his car.
Your eyes dart over to him, rolling them at his obvious remark. “I can see that Steve, I am so glad” your tone laced in sarcasm. Pulling away from Robin, you wouldn’t have even been able to tell that just moments ago she had been upset, because now, the largest grim took over her glossed lips. It was taking a lot from you not to just lean in and kiss her, but you knew that you couldn’t, not here, not in front of everyone.
It was a decision that both of you had made, no one was to know the nature of your relationship, not until you both were ready to share it. It had been Robin’s initially, you weren’t entirely sure why, perhaps it was because you were her first, but regardless you respected it all. You were more than happy to have her all to yourself without others weighing in. The only problem was times like this when you wanted to shower her in kisses, but you couldn’t, it was painfully annoying.
Giving her a wink, you drag her with you towards Eddie’s van. “I missed you,” you say, just quiet enough for her and only her to hear. You watch as her smile grows, the subtlest hints of pink rushing to her pale cheeks. Pulling open the back of the van, you start to grab out the bags of groceries, handing her some of them. Looking back at the boys, you could see Steve nonverbally begging for someone to need him, to get him away from Eddie.
“Steve, are you just going to stand there or help us?”
“Yeah Steve, we need a big strong man to help us carry all this shit,” Robin adds, the mockery clear in her tone. He rolls his eyes as he makes his way over to you, running his hand through his perfect hair.
“I knew you needed me, Robin, you can joke all you want but I know the truth.”
You gesture for him to grab the blankets, and the few remaining bags, light stuff just as a show to say ‘we don't really need you Steve’ but you’re not sure he catches on.
You throw all of the items down on a little spot next to a fire pit, deciding to leave the rest of it to the boys to set up. Clawing off your clothes, leaving you in nothing but your bra and panties, you turn to Robin, who was starting to physically look ill. You had never specified whether or not swimsuits were needed, and you figured there was no need to bring one, not to the lake with friends, so you didn’t, and as far as it seemed, neither did anyone else.
    “What?”
You couldn’t help the butterflies erupting in your stomach as you watched Robin completely malfunction at the sight of you, her mouth agape, eyes wide and glued to you, not to mention the awkward stance that she was in, she looked mesmerizing.
    “No-nothing.” she stutters.
You chuckle to yourself, making your way slowly over to Robin, gesturing for her to lift her arms, which she does. Quickly you help her take her shirt off, completely oblivious to the fact that both Eddie and Steve were absolutely gawking at the pair of you, standing side by side saying nothing.
“Okay,” you smile. It takes her a few moments until she’s climbed out of her clothes and is just as exposed as you are. Now it was your turn to silently admire her, standing before you. You could feel the heat rushing through you, straight to your face. You couldn’t lie, she was perfect. You had never seen her like this before, it was new, but boy was it now one of your favorite things to see. The red matching set was the perfect contrast to her pale skin or the way that it hugged her so nicely without being too provocative. If it wasn’t for someone clearing their throat, you would have forgotten that anyone was actually there.
Reluctantly pulling your eyes from her, you glance back at the boys, who were both struggling to hide the fact that they had been staring the entire time.
“Are we all just going to stand here or are we going to go swimming?” you remark, grabbing Robin’s hand and dragging her down into the lake with you.
****
The sun had already started to set as Eddie snuck up behind you, taking advantage of you being utterly distracted by Robin, and wrapped his arm around your waist, heaving you out of the water in one fell swoop.
“Edward, you better put me down!” You yell, doing your best to pry loose from him, only to come up short when he throws you into the water just beside him. You clamor to the surface, spitting the water that you had managed to inhale in the process before your gaze fell on Eddie. The smile that was on his lips was slowly fading as he could see the look of warning on yours.
“Hey..hey it was just a joke,” he argues, slowly backing up from you, hands held high as a sign of surrender. It took you no time to pounce on him, knocking him back into the water with a thud.
Steve slowly approaches Robin, who was watching closely as you and Eddie wrestled in the water. She couldn’t help the fall of her face, nor the nagging feeling in the pit of her stomach.
“Robin?” Steve’s voice is soft as he looks at her, and then to where she was so obviously staring. “Wanna tell me what's going on with you and y/n?”
Robin slowly turns to look at him, debating on whether or not she should, but ultimately she needed to tell him and she knew it.
“We’ve been seeing each other for a month now, and I really like her, but so does everyone else, and I feel like sooner or later she's going to realize that, and then I’m not going to be good enough for her anymore, I mean look at her, she’s perfect and stunning, and funny, and she seems to get along really well with Munson, which I mean makes sense because he's great too, but then there is me, and I thought that she likes me but now I'm not so sure, and I am trying not to be jealous of it but I really can’t so that’s unfortunate.” She sighs heavily, and Steve can't help but wonder if she had even taken a breath through it all.
“Oh and not to mention, I know it's only been a month but I can feel myself falling for her so quickly and that's scary because what if she doesn't feel the same at all, and Steve I am panicking so hard right now that I really don't know what to do.”
Steve’s eyes widen, trying to process everything and formulate a response all at the same time. He quickly looks over at you and Eddie, who he can’t deny, do look all over each other, before he’s back to looking at Robin.
“Hey, listen. She likes you, I’ve seen it, she was so excited to see you today, and I know you probably didn’t notice but she was mesmerized by you only a few moments ago when you two were, weirdly stripping down. I don’t think that you have anything to worry about. You are amazing and I know she sees it, and even if she doesn’t someone else will, I promise.” he smiles.
Robin looks back at you, taking in what it was that Steve was saying. She badly wanted to believe him, but seeing the way you and Eddie were all over each other, laughing, acting like you two were the only ones in the world, she just couldn’t. She hated that she was feeling this way, insecure, and like she meant nothing to you, which most definitely was not the case, but she didn’t know that. Robin wasn’t usually a jealous person, but when it came to you, everything was different.
She managed to pull her gaze away from you, trudging out of the water and back towards the woods where everything was set up for camp, ignoring the way Steve called after her. Robin sat down in the grass, cursing to herself over it all. She felt unbelievably stupid.
Noticing she was gone, you rush from the water, keen on finding where she had wandered off too, completely unaware that the boys were hot on your heels the entire time. You spot her, sitting down on one of the blankets you had brought, her t-shirt covering her form, that you can’t lie, wished wasn’t covered. The skip of your heart when you stop to just admire her, wondering how someone could be so perfect. If things were different, you would rush up to her and kiss her, letting everyone know that she was yours, but instead you just casually make your way over to her, throwing yourself down onto the blanket next to her.
“Hey you, why’d you leave me out there by myself?” you joke, nudging her shoulder playfully. You could tell that something seemed off, the way she was acting quieter than usual or the inability to meet your gaze when she spoke.
“Hey, sorry,” she huffs, she flops down on her back pinching the bridge of her nose as her eyes fall closed. You watch as the boys start to build up the fire, more so Steve than Eddie. Lying on your back next to Robin, you turn to her, your hand slowly inching towards her, but she moves hers away. Unsure if she did it on purpose, you bring yours back to your side.
    “Are you okay?” You ask.
Robin begins to nod quickly, clearly trying to end the conversation before it's even begun.
“Yeah, I’m great!” she says, her voice getting slightly higher in pitch as she spoke. You just hum along, not wanting to push her, even though you know there was clearly something bothering her.
“Y/n! Where is the bag for all of the chips?” Eddie sings out. Sighing heavily you yell back at him “In the back of the van you dumbass!”
Eddie ruffles around in the back of the van, throwing unnecessary items out into the open woods.
    “Nope! Not here!”
You groan, looking back at Robin with an apologetic smile, pulling yourself to your feet as you rush over to him. Reaching inside you move a few random things that he had resting in there, to reveal the bags of chips that you assured him were there.
    “Told you,” you say smugly.
Eddie cups your cheeks, leaning down like he was about to kiss you.
“How did you do that you witch?” he jokes.
“I just looked properly, dummy.”
Eddie just hums, his eyes boring into yours as he leans closer planting a small friendly kiss on your nose.
    “Thank you!”
Robin’s stomach drops, and her blood begins to boil as she watches the pair of you. You weren’t hers, it wasn’t like you owed her anything, but this felt too far, it felt like a kick in the gut and it hurt. She didn’t want to be there to see whatever was unfolding. She drags herself from the blanket, slipping on her shoes as she heads off deeper into the woods, needing to just get away, and clear her head, ignoring the way that Steve calls after her.
“Robin?” Steve calls out, heading off towards her. You pull away from Eddie and push past Steve, shooting him a look, a warning that you would deal with it. “Robin!” you call racing after her, close on her heel until you grab her arm and spin her around to face you.
“Hey, what's going on?” you ask, searching her eyes desperately for an answer. She closes her eyes, squeezing them tightly before she opens them once more to look at you.
“I really like you, and I don’t know what to do about it because you and Eddie seem like you’d make a really cute couple or something like that, and I don’t want to come between that because you guys are always so happy when you’re together, always laughing and smiling, and I am so desperately trying not to be jealous about it, but it's really hard when I have these strong feelings for you, so I removed myself that way I didn’t have to see it, and I’m sorry but I don’t know what to do right now-”
Before she can finish what you assume was going to be a much longer rant, you silence her, pressing your lips firmly against hers. The very thing you’d been dying to do all day long. It takes her a moment to ease into the kiss but once she does, she's all over you. Her hand comes up to cradle the side of your face, her thumb brushing over your cheek lightly, and her tongue moves delicately against yours. You let out the slightest moan at the feeling and Robin can’t hide the smile at the sound.
You reluctantly pull away from her for a moment, your lips still hovering over hers.
“I really like you too, and only you.” you breathe, pulling back just slightly to look in her eyes. You watch as they trace over the features of your face, her gaze now resting on your swollen lips.
“Really?” she asks, a hopeful look in her eye.
“Yes! For crying out loud I have only been able to think about kissing you all day…and other things” you whisper seductively. Robin doesn’t know what came over her, but hearing you say that drove her wild. It was a matter of seconds before her lips were on yours once more, but this time with fervor. Robin backs you up against the nearest tree, carefully not to trip over anything in the process, which you have to say was a rather large accomplishment considering how clumsy she usually was.
Back hitting the rough bark, you let out a gasp at the abrupt feeling. Robin’s hands slowly start to caress your exposed skin. Trailing up your sides slowly, gently. Your hands eagerly find her hair, tangling your fingers in the locks as you pull her, urging her to do more, to kiss you harder. Robin’s hand finds your lace-covered breast, her index tracing the delicate pattern, completely aware that she was toying with your nipple that sat just below the fabric. Moaning against her lips as soon as her hand cups your breast, kneading it in her palm. Robin bites down on your bottom lip, giving it a slight tug as she pulls back from you ever so slightly.
“So have I…I can’t stop thinking about how good you taste.”
You can feel the heat rushing to your cheeks at her words, your eyes widening and your pulse hastening. It was drawing on you knowing that you wanted nothing more than for her to do just that.
“Well stop thinking about it, and do it,” you remark with a smirk.
The shock on Robin’s face wears off quickly, and the biggest grin forms on her perfectly pink lips. She kisses you again, this time it's slower, softer, and at the same time, hungry, and needy. Swiping her tongue over your bottom lip, coaxing you to open your mouth and let her in, which you do happily.
You find it hard to focus when you feel her hand slip down the front of your panties, her deft fingers toying with your folds, collecting your slick, her knee pushing your thighs further apart. She revels in the soft moans you press against her lips as her fingers start to brush against your clit, eagerly pushing your hips into her hand, seeking out more friction.
    “Robin, please,” you breathe.
A sharp gasp falls from you as soon as you feel two of her digits push into your core, slowly bringing them to pump on and out of you. Robin's mouth is quick to stray from yours, finding purpose as she kisses down the side of your neck, desperately restraining herself from marking you up, trailing her soft lips over your collarbone and down your chest, over the curvature of your breasts.
“Is it okay if I take these off?” Robin gestures down towards your panties just before her eager eyes meet yours.
“Well most people normally ask before they slip their hands down someone else’s pants, but…” You joke, a small grin on your face.
She removes her hand, and you whimper at the loss, her face falling slightly. You could tell that she was feeling a little embarrassed, which you couldn’t help but chuckle at.
“No Robin, I am just joking! Please..please don’t stop, I promise that it's okay….” you lean closer to her, your lips ghosting over her neck.
“Everything you do is okay,” you say, planting a kiss against her skin, working a small welt into the crook of her neck. You grab her hand, guiding it back down to your panties, helping her to loop her fingers around the band resting comfortably on your waist. She quickly gets the hint. Wasting no time, she lowers herself to her knees, pulling them down with her and tossing them to the side. Her fingers come back to you, gliding through your folds, collecting your arousal. You feel your walls clench around nothing but the air, desperately begging for her to do more.
“You’re already so wet,” she remarks, looking up at you with a smile.
“Usually am when it comes to you,” you pant, your heart rate rising at the sound of her voice, and the filthy words she uttered. Robin feels the blush rushing to her cheeks. “Oh.” Her lips purse and her eyes widen. She brings her fingers to her lips, before letting her tongue run over them. “So sweet,” she remarks. She leans forward, grabbing one of your legs to slink it over her shoulder, as she brings her mouth inches from your now bare heat.
She looks up at you searching for some consent. Nodding, you give her the push she needs. Your anticipation is high as you take in the sight before you, Robin perched on her knees in front of you, eager for the slightest taste of you. Robin’s mouth practically watering at the sight of your dripping cunt. She licks her lips quickly. Robin’s fingers sink into your center, slowly beginning to toy with that spot inside you. Your walls clench around them, desperate to keep them deeply buried inside you.
Your head falls back against the tree, a sigh of pleasure leaving you as soon as you feel her tongue glide along you, flicking over your sensitive clit.
“Fuck, Robin” you groan, your voice already hoarse.
You try to find anything you can to anchor yourself to reality as you focus on Robin and the licking, sucking, and the way she was devouring your pleasure for her own. Her eyes find yours one more, as her tongue your best swirls around your clit, coaxing those sweet sweet sounds from you, the very ones that she loves hearing. You on the other hand, throw your hand over your mouth, doing your best to hide the sinful sounds. You didn’t want the boys to hear you and come looking for you, ruining your high in the process. Robin notices, pulling away from you momentarily.
“Don’t cover up those beautiful sounds, I want to hear them.”
Robin had her motives for telling you not to hide them, part of it was because a small part of her wanted Eddie to hear you, to know that she was the one that's making you feel good and not him, and the other part of her wanted to hear them strictly for her pleasure. Pressing your lips into a firm line you remove your hand, nodding softly.
    “Good girl.”
Her mouth is back on you in a flash throwing you back into the thralls of pleasure, her tongue lapping at you before she's sucking on your clit once more, pushing you closer and closer to the edge. It was enough to render your legs weak. Robin was determined to push you over the edge, to make you moan and squirm all by her hand and mouth. Your hand finds her hair, tugging on it every time she brushes that spot inside you, or every time a wave of euphoric bliss washes over you.
The moans fall freely from your lips now, not bothering to hide the sounds that escape you this time. You can’t help the involuntary grind of your hips against her mouth, so focused on the tight coiling sensation building in your abdomen.
“Just like that Robin, don’t stop please, god don’t stop..”
Her piercing blue eyes find yours in the chaos as she increases her speed, her fingers curling inside of you perfectly, brushing against that spot that makes you sing. It's only a matter of moments until your orgasm rolls in, the coiling in your stomach bursting. A loud and sinful moan leaves your lips as your head falls back against the tree once more. This time you couldn’t care less who heard you, not when you were feeling so good. Your legs tremble, ready to give at any second, but Robin keeps you steady with a firm hand. She removes her mouth, tongue brushing over her swollen lips, savoring the last remnants of you. Her fingers still thrusting in and out of you, letting you ride out your high while she watched in awe of you, her eyes trained on your blissed-out face.
A few more strokes of her fingers until she's pulling them out, sticking them into her mouth to clean them off.
    “Delicious,” she moans.
She lets your leg down, standing up before you, careful to hold onto you to keep you steady. Your pupils are blown, as you start to come down from your haze. You go to move forward, eager to return the favor when you hear the loud steps of the boys coming. You quickly grab your panties, slipping them, completely unaware that they were inside out the entire time. Eddie and Steve come into full view. The blush creeps to your cheeks as the embarrassment seeps into you.
“Are you okay? We heard some sounds?” Eddie pipes up, looking between the both of you with a brow raised. Looking at Robin, you try to bite back the smile that grows on your lips.
“Yeah, we’re good,” you say, still trying to recover your breath.
“Really good, right y/n,” Robin chimes in.
It took Steve one glance at Robin to gather a strong idea of what had actually happened, and once he does a grin grows on his face. Eddie gives a skeptical look at the pair of you, his eyes landing on you as he quickly looks you up and down.
“Your underwear is inside out just so you know,” he says.
Your hands fall to cover yourself much to your dismay. Steve grabs Eddie by the shoulder pulling him away.
“Come on Eddie, I think I smell something burning.” You chuckle at Steve’s poor attempt at an excuse, but secretly you thank him for it. As soon as the boys are out of sight, you grab Robin’s hand, pulling her body against yours as you wrap your arms around her.
“I have a confession to make?”
    “Oh?” Robin says, brow raised.
“I know we said that we wanted to keep this a secret, but I have to be honest with you…. I told Eddie the moment we kissed for the first time.”
Robin’s eyes grow wider in confusion as she tries to figure out exactly what you meant by it all.
    “Wait what?”
“Eddie has been one of my closest friends ever since we were children, that's why we are so close, and I’m sorry that I didn’t tell you because I could sense that it's been bothering you, but I promise you have nothing to worry about, he is just a friend and only a friend, you’re my girlfriend.”
You press your lips together to silence yourself. Neither of you had discussed labels and what you were to each other, but it was something that you wanted, you wanted to be able to call Robin your girlfriend, and to tell everyone.
“Your girlfriend?” Robin starts, “Is that what I am, your girlfriend?”
“I would like you to be? I mean I would actually love it, and I mean we wouldn’t have to tell everyone, but maybe just our friends, but I mean, I don’t know if it can go without you being mine for much longer.”
You watch as the biggest smile takes over Robin’s face, grinning ear to ear at the thought.
“I would love that actually,” Robin giggles.
    “Yeah?”
    “Yeah!”
Cupping her cheeks you pull her into a kiss, soft and slow before you begin to pepper her face in them, listening to the way she just chuckles softly, enjoying the few minutes of peace that you assuredly would have before the boys came looking for you once more.
