Teenage Exocolonist Kids: How would they be as Jedi?

Sol: Our nonbinary icon is THE Jedi, especially after Transcendence. Goes on a long multi-lifetime journey to learn to accept there are things they cannot change and tragedies they cannot avoid is PEAK Jedi story. Definetly Master/Councilor material

Tangent/Tang: Eh, Tangent would probably not be a very good Jedi when it comes to active duty. She struggles with empathy which is a core Jedi value, but I think Jedi training would help her come to terms with her identity in a very helpful way. Definitely a more "stays at the Temple and researches/debates" type Jedi than one who goes out on active field work.

Cal/Recalcitrance: My gentle, plant-loving pacifist husband is PRIME Jedi material! Definitely head of the AgriCorps and teaches the younglings about cool plants from across the Galaxy on his off days. Man is literally great for the role of a Jedi. He's a Master, but probably not on the Council as he has no patience for politics.

Nem/Anemone: Eh... I do not think Nem would be a very good Jedi. Too angry, too attached to the memories of her loved ones. Relaly I see her more as a nat-born soldier or a light-aligned Bounty Hunter who works with the Jedi, but doesn't really get them. Not to say she's bad, but if she were trained as a Jedi she'd probably Fall at some point. However, I do think she'd make her way back to the Light eventually, with help. But, I don't see my girl as a very good Jedi.

Dys/Dysthymia: Dys would be a good Jedi... but only in certain circumstances. Definitely a Jedi Shadow, but with how he fails to get along with others I can't see him doing traditional Jedi things. However, he does have an instinctive knowledge of letting go. But, I do see his inability to feel fear as a detriment. Jedi train to overcome their fear and at in spite of it, but since Dys can't feel fear, i feel he would be missing a key piece of Jedi education. Not good.

Marz/Marzipan: Marz, actually would be a GREAT Jedi! Granted, not a very conventional one, with her love of the spotlight and drive to succeed, I see her as the Jedi's Liason to the Senate, as one of the few of the Order with a head for Politics. This lady would have the Senate and the Media eating out of her hand, giving the Jedi a sterling reputation. While she struggles with passion in some cases, I think she could easily overcome it!

Tammy/Aspartame: Did someone say Creche MasteR? Because this lovely lady is a Creche-Master! She would not only be great at caring for the Younglings, she's treasure every moment of working with them and readying them for the journeys ahead. And is Definetly secretly a Master and a badass, she actively chooses not to kick people's asses. Peace and love, baby.

Vace/Olivaceous: Not a good Jedi. At all. Too proud, too full of ambition and vainglory to hack it as one of the Servants of the Republic. Probably a Mandalorian, honestly, and a neutrally aligned one. If he were to become a Jedi he would fall. Period. He's too much like Anakin, too focused on his own glory and power to understand the Jedi Way.

Nomi-Nomi/Nomination: I'm...honestly at a loss, here. I think Nomi would make a very... weird Jedi? But a good one, probably? They're definitely kind and compassionate enough to be a Jedi, but they struggle with attachment so... probably a mid-ranked Knight who's a Smash Hit with the Younglings. Probably the first Jedi Twitch Streamer.

Rex/Basorexia: Honestly? Rex'd be a good Jedi. No in-depth explanations here, just vibes. Definitely Jedi material

The Acolyte creator Leslye Headland is thrilled to have Rwoh be part of her series. “I absolutely love Vernestra. You can tell, because I cast my wife,” she laughs while speaking to Empire. But, she says, much has changed in the time between the High Republic novels and where we find Vernestra now – she’s “been through some shit,” according to the showrunner. “That has resulted in her going from this fun-seeking adventurer character [in the books], to a little bit closer to the [type of] Jedi that we see in The Phantom Menace,” Headland teases. [...] While books like Out Of The Shadows see Rwoh figuring out her earliest years as a Jedi Knight, the significant time-jump in The Acolyte means she holds serious stature in the series. “Because she has been around for so long, she has basically met everyone that has come through the Temple, and seen them all die their natural deaths if they’re living a natural human life,” explains Henderson. “She’s known [Lee Jung-jae’s Jedi Master] Sol since he was a tiny child.” Vernestra Rwoh is, Headland confirms, the only High Republic novel character set to appear in The Acolyte – for now. But should feature seasons be granted, there are thoughts of other characters from the books who could make the leap to the screen. “I’ve already talked to Pablo Hidalgo about it,” teases Headland.

did someone say OCs? Meet Sol'oya Haa'runi.

i have played a little bit with some headcanons about things like. Varactyl family structure and anatomy etc. mostly coming from a biological standpoint.

It began on a day just like every other day. Until it wasn't.

It was a normal battle against the Empire, routine in its own way, nothing special or remarkable about it.... until it wasn't.

Just a normal fucking day. And then it all came crashing down in just one moment. That's all it ever takes isn't it. Just a moment in time and everything changes forever. A galaxy turned to shreds. The Force thrown off balance in the seconds that followed this moment. And then silence. Blessed, cursed silence.

Sol wasn't always a mandalorian or a "traitor". He wasn't always Sol, and he wasn't always alone.

His birth name has been lost to the winds of time, blown away with the rest of the ashes following Order 66. For him, like so many others, that was a great turning point in his life.

He was born on Utapau under unfortunate circumstances and remembers very little of his life before the Jedi Temple. His parents were problematic at best, and absent at worst, so when the enigmatic and powerful Jedi came to claim him, he was only too happy to leave. He had spent much of his time prior in the plains of Utapau, communing with the wildlife there, as much of his power in the force attuned him to beasts.

Sol was a willful and chaotic child, strong in the force, who took to combat like a fish to water. He questioned the Jedi code often, but never blatantly enough to be forcibly removed. He was paired eventually with an Iridonian zabrak named Ahkeema Sukrii, who he bonded with immediately in their distaste for the basis of the Jedi code. Ahkeema was a fair master, who taught him well. His death at the hands of his loyal clones in the battle for Utapau was an unmeasured loss for Sol, who was unimaginably attached to all of them in a way that the Jedi would have frowned upon. In a fit of rage, anguish and pain, Sol used the force to shove the clones in their squad that did it off of the edge of the pit that the fight had been around, and fled into the familiar plains, grabbing Sukrii's saber on their way. There had been no time for final words, the clones were good soldiers who followed orders and Ahkeema was given no warning before they gunned him down.

Sol vowed in that moment never to harm another clone, as he had been close as brothers with the squad. Many a day and night had been filled with their shenanigans and laughter, in the quieter moments of the war. The leader, and Sol's best friend was Scout, and his heart broke when the order was given. The only consolation, was that Sukrii's partner Kai would never have to live with the guilt of gunning down his lifemate and Jedi.

The padawan-no-longer , having lost everything that had ever been important to him, fled to the sparse savannahs of the planet, far from the majority of the clone controlled pits, and hid in a varactyl nest until he felt that the clones had given up chase. His affinity for beasts served him well for the next period of time, as he lived with this particular family of varactyl, helping to hunt and provide for the young.

He was not alone, but he was lonely. After the bustle of the temple and the chaos of war, life had slowed to a grinding halt. With the last vestiges of his life as a Jedi hidden deep in the nest, he knew nothing of what had happened, if anyone was left alive, or what had become of the Republic. He grieved for his lost love, a clone medic, most likely lost to the Order. And so it remained for a difficult few years.

No measure of peace can last forever, of course, and on yet another life turning day, Sol was confronted with the loss of yet another family. You see, varactyl feathers are a prized commodity on the black market and there will always be poachers and trophy hunters willing to kill for them.

Sol's tentative peace once again came to an abrupt halt when a group of these poachers came to their nest in the night, and the majority of the family he lived with were slain. The poachers were surprised, however, when faced with a living breathing Jedi initiate, awoken, pissed off, with lightsabers at the ready to defend the small hatchlings that were cowering at his feet.

Sol managed to take down two of them in their surprise, but the rest fled before the angry padawan could finish them off.

Sol gathered what he could carry, the hatchlings and his sabers and fled into the night, once again on the run. He ran far and fast and escaped into one of the many pits on the surface of the planet, finding a small village to collapse into. Fortune finally turned for him when they were found by, not an enemy for once, but a friend.

Raxxus was an escaped slave of a twi-lek, only a few years older than Sol, and had made a hideout in this small village in this small unknown pit, a haven for the lost. He ran a tea shop that fronted for this space and brought Sol and the hatchlings in without a thought. The next chapter in the life of this force wielding Mandalorian had truly begun.

wake tumblr, ray'lee got a gf

i wanted ray and get a gf for a solid while already, so i finally drew them together!! meet nina :DD

and here's some of her backstory:

nina is an apprentice nurse in the jedi temple medical wing

she met ray'lee for the first time when ray came over to get checked after getting beat up by sol during a training (extra fun fact: sol never really held herself back during trainings with fake saber). since ray'lee's injures weren't too serious, nina's master let her take care of the padawan, and that's how they became friends

during her visits, ray often complained about sol and her fighting skills. once or twice she even cried about it, but later never wanted to admit it. nina always tried to cheer her friend up with some nice words and gentle hugs

nina was always very gentle in general and ray'lee loved it. she didn't have too much strengh, being rather weak and delicate, what secretly fascinated huge and strong togruta. one time ray even picked nina up and lifted above the head to show off her strengh, which really impressed the young nurse.

nina wasn't too fond of sol after all those stories she heard from ray'lee, but she still helped her out a bunch of times, as a proper nurse should. the togruta didn't really like when the two confronted though, it made her feel weird, jealous even.

after months of growing closer together, ray'lee finally confessed her love towards nina, who turned out to feel the same way. they kept their relationship a secret though, in fear of their masters.

after ray'lee's betrayal plan would come true and she was presumed dead on her last mission, nina was completely devastated and nobody could understand why

(this backstory is still a huge wip :P)

Atlas, the second child of Jango and Din from project Darkbloom. The perfect soldier. Loyal and obedient to every end. He's the one you want in a big fight, for he can take your strength and make it his own.

Nova, the third child of Jango and Din out of project Darkbloom. A master of emotions, he can turn your sorrow to joy and even absorb your pain. But he can also  curse you with the feeling of nothing at all.

Orion, the fourth child of Jango and Din out of Project Darkbloom. A loyal and reliable brother who can levitate objects and is Force resistant. A Jedi will not get one over on him.

Elios and Sol. The twins. The fifth and six children of Jango and Din from project Darkbloom. Mischievous children who don't need to use words to communicate with each other....mind your thoughts around them. They aren't your own.

Castor, the youngest of seven of Din and Jango's children through Project Darkbloom. He's wild and reckless, always seeking attention, and has inhuman and unnatural speed.

A week has gone by since I came to Coruscant and things are going really well. The squad accepts me as one of their own. I'm still waiting for the Jedi Counsel and the Chancelor to decide if they should offer me a place in the GAR where I can fight along side the 501st. However, Anakin assured me he would personally talk to them which hopefully works because they are being deployed tomorrow. All I got was something about a separatist controlled planet in the mid rim.

I sat in the mess hall at the table alone staring at my tray. They’ll be leaving tomorrow morning and I’m stuck here. I should be out there helping them fight. I understand the hesitation to put a Mandalorian out in the field with GAR troops but COME ON…I’m only trying to help… I’m not even feeling hungry anymore honestly. I made sure I had gotten there before the squad because I really was not feeling like myself and it wasn’t fair to them. I can’t help but feel like I should be there to protect them…something in my epan (stomach) tells me I need to be there…or is it because Rex will be gone and I’ll be here? It’s not just about him… or is it?

I’m so deep in thought, playing with my food I didn’t hear someone approaching. “Everything alright over here?” He asks. Instinctively place my hand where my blaster is strapped to my beskar before looking over my shoulder. Cody raises his hands as if to surrender and calmly says “Udesii vod, Ni ceta (Easy sister, sorry). May I?”. I nod at the empty seat next to me. “You don’t look alright” he states. “I don’t want to sound like ik’aad (baby, child under 3), but I was actually hoping I would deploy with the 501st…I’m worried about them” I spill, not really meaning to. Cody laughs causing me to give him a look. “Ni ceta (sorry), but that’s funny coming from you. Not that long ago you were bragging about how well they were doing in the training you were doing with them. Not only that if I remember correctly you even told me they trained you in their strategies and you were impressed” he explains. I roll my eyes and roll my neck knowing he’s right “I know I just-“ he cuts me off “care about Rex”. I’m totally speechless because he’s caught me. Cody has been a great friend outside the 501st and he’s listen to be vent - good and bad - about them a few times. I can feel the heat creeping up my face - I never wanted to call it what it was but I knew he was right. Cody smiles and I swear if he holds that smile any longer it’ll stick “Oya! I knew it! Fox owes me”. “Pare sol! (Wait one- like wait a minute), You knew what?” I asked now panicking. “Maker, I never thought I’d see the day where the great Raven Skirata loses her ramikadyc (commando state of mind- confident, determined)” Cody laughs even more getting attention of the troopers at tables around us. “Dirycir gar jorad! (lower your voice)” I whisper yell at him.

He stops and becomes serious putting a hand on my armored shoulder “Haa’taylir (technically means see but we are going with look), Rex - and his men, are well trained. You’ve seen it yourself, what we go through on Kamino. Not to mention, you trained them well yourself by the sounds of it. They’ll be fine, they’re mando’ade (sons of Mandalore)”. His reassurance is not really working, I look down at my tray. He switches tactics, “I heard General Kenobi talking with General Skywalker about getting you an official position in the GAR. Trust in the Force something will work out”. I look over at Cody and giggle “Thanks Master Cody” I joke. He rolls his eyes and removes his hand. “Not for nothing….I think you’re a good match for Rex’ika (little [brother] Rex)” he starts to get up from the table. “Vor’e (thanks) Cody……Tell Fox ‘Nar’sheb’ for me will you?” I ask over my shoulder. Cody turns around and winks “There’s the Raven I know”. I shake my head and turn my attention to my food, appetite slowly coming back.

I take care of my tray and head towards my quarters. Rex just happens to be leaving his when I turn the corner to our hall. He smiles at me as he approaches “That was a good session this morning, the men have come a long way”. I fake a smile “yeah they really have”. His smile falters and he gives me a knowing look, “what is it?”. I can’t even meet his eyes - I’m feeling guilty for not being more supportive….I’m being selfish - “Ni ceta (sorry) I should be more supportive, I’m just worried about you guys that’s all….” Straightening up with the confidence - in typical Rex fashion - and says “The 501st has been trained to be the best and you have helped us to be better then the best”. His emphasis on the word ‘you’ has me feeling some kind of way. The emotion is not one I can even find the words for, my whole being is flooded - heart pounding in my ears, heat rising from my chest - as I search for some kind of answer. “I— uh—“ Maker I must look stupid. Rex gives me the million credit half smile. “— I don’t think I had much to do with it, you’re extraordinary men” I finally say, Osik….Di’kut- I mentally curse myself. Rex starts to speak but I cut him off, “I don’t want to keep you, I’m sure you’ve got a lot to do before deployment” I smile at him. “yeah…uh…right….Ret’ (see you)” he replies. I head back to my room now feeling all flustered.

I opt to change into my workout gear and head to the gym here at the barracks. What better way to clear my head. I enter, put in my ear buds, and get to work. After about an hour of being there my comm link on my watch goes off. Confused - I look seeing it’s a message from Anakin ‘Meet me at the temple ASAP’. I wonder what that’s all about? I decide going sweaty wasn’t worth it, so I sent him a message back saying I’d be about 45 minutes. Racing back to my quarters I almost - literally - run into Fives, Hardcase, Echo, and Jesse. “Oya! Where you off to in such a hurry?” Fives asks. “Gotta meet Anakin, We’ll catch up later” I holler continuing past them down the hall. I shower quickly, throw cloths on and head out to the street to grab a taxi.

Making to the temple in 45 minutes was tough but I made it. The guards stop me at the entrance “no visitors unless accompanied by a Jedi”. “It’s alright she’s with me” I hear Ahsoka behind them, they let me through. She comes bounding over and throws her arms around me. “Good to see you too” I laugh. Glancing in the direction she came from I notice Anakin, Obi-wan, and a little green old man. I walk over with Ahsoka in tow and respectfully bow “Generals” I say - only because I’m not sure who this other Jedi is. “Raven Skirata, you must be. Master Yoda, I am” he introduces himself. “What can I do for you?” I ask, still wondering why I’m here. Master Yoda looks to Anakin and Obi-wan, “Brought to my attention it has, that a position with the 501st, you want. Useful, the counsel has decided. Short on Jedi, are we”. Placing my right fist over my heart bowing my head, “I’m honored to serve with the brave men of the 501st”. “Go you must, with them tomorrow, you shall depart. Commander Raven to the 501st, are you now”. My eyes widen, “What about Anakin and Ahsoka? I don’t want to remove them”. “Anakin and Ahsoka will be leading a new batch of 501st. You’ll be taking over Captain Rex’s squad - Torrent squad.” Obi-wan chimes in. Anakin, gar mesh’la jetiise (you beautiful Jedi). I glance at Anakin who puffs out his chest and smiles at me cockily, like he can read my thought. “I am greatful to the Counsel. I won’t let you down, neither will the men” I say bowing my head. “Know this, we do” says Master Yoda before turning around and heading down the hall.

I can’t even wipe the smile off my face. “I thought you’d be happy to hear that…Commander…” Anakin says all smug. “This will be great fit, Commander Cody had many good things to say as well” Obi-wan says. “Take good care of Rex ole boy will ya?” Ahsoka asks. I salute them - considering they are now my superiors for real - “Sir, yes, sir”. “We should tell the squad. I’ll comm Rex, have them gather in one of the training rooms” Anakin says stepping off to the side. “Congratulations my dear, I must be off” nods Obi-wan. I reciprocate. “You’re the same rank as me now….Commander Raven” Ahsoka giggles. “It would seem so” I smile.
