prompt: barry and iris thinking that Cisco and caitlin are together in early s3 and accidentally embarrassing them by addressing their incorrect assumption to their face
Okay so Ik you sent this in like 3 years ago but i felt inspired ig so here it is! Happy late holidays everyone and happy new year!
Iris walked into the cortex and heard giggling. She wasn’t sure where it was coming from but it didn’t sound like her boyfriend.
“Barry?” She just needed to be sure. She stared at the Flash suit on the mannequin in front of her. The hollow metal stared back at her through the eye holes. She got no response.
“That’s not true, Cisco,” she heard a voice from the med bay. This one she was sure was Caitlin.
“Of course it is, I could hear it throughout the entire apartment.” She heard another voice. Definitely Cisco.
“I do not snore!” Caitlin said, Iris could hear the annoyance in her voice. She heard another laugh out of Cisco and the beginning of footsteps coming in her direction.
“Well I beg to differ,” he twirled a twizzler between his fingers as he entered the cortex. “Thanks again for staying over last night, I really needed that.” He patted Caitlin on the shoulder.
“No problem, any time you need something I’ll be there.” She reassured him, squeezing his arm. “Oh, Iris!” Caitlin’s voice rose three octaves.
“Hi,” she waved at her friends from her spot behind the console. Both of their faces were bright red.
“Iris!” Cisco’s voice cracked. “What are you doing here so early in the day?” He leaned against one of the rails.
Iris’ eyes narrowed, she looked at Cisco. Then to Caitlin, then back to Cisco. She sat down in one of the chairs and sighed.
“I was coming to do some research on this alchemy character but I don’t know,” she paused, looking between the two of them. “Maybe you guys got this covered.” She cleared her throat.
Caitlin looked down, now realizing how close she had been standing next to her best friend. She could feel his breath on her cheek.
“We could always use the help, and besides we have as little information as you do right now.” Caitlin suggested, taking a step away from Cisco. He seemed to not like the loss of contact to Iris’ observation because his lips knit into a tight frown.
“I think I’ll be okay at my dad’s.” She smiled, spinning in her chair and giving a wave over her shoulder as she left.
“What was that?” She could hear Cisco asking as she walked down the hallway.
“I don’t know, we could’ve used your help,” Caitlin sounded unsure.
“But I wanted to spend some time with you.” Iris almost thought that sounded like a whine, as she paused halfway to the elevator.
“I was at your place all night, Cisco.” She could almost hear the eye roll in Caitlin’s voice.
“Yeah but it’s not the same,” Cisco whined. Iris knew he was jutting his bottom lip out at that point.
When she opened the door to her Dad’s house, she wasn’t expecting her boyfriend to be sitting on the couch.
“Hey you,” he said, looking up as she leaned over to give him a kiss. “Where were you this morning?”
“STAR labs, trying to get some research done.” She sat down across from him.
“And what did you find?” He asked between kisses.
“I think,” She kissed him back. “I think our friends are lying to us.”
Barry pulled back, raising an eyebrow. “And that would be,”
“I think Cisco and Caitlin might be,” she took a deep breath. “I think they’re together.”
Barry opened his mouth and then closed it again.
“I know it sounds crazy,” Iris started. “But you should’ve seen it, Barry, they were so,”
Barry brushed his hand against her cheek. “What happened exactly?”
Iris explained about the giggling and the blushing and the close contact. “She even stayed at his house last night.”
Barry rolled his eyes and stared at his girlfriend. “She does that sometimes, y’know since Dante died and all he’s been,” he trailed off.
“I know that, but Barry,” she took a breath, “this was so different.”
Barry nodded, trying to understand. “So let’s say you’re right and they are dating,” he countered. “Why haven’t they told us yet? I mean they’re our friends, we’d be happy for them, they know that.”
Iris ruffled his hair and scooter closer. “Yeah but maybe they’re just not ready yet, not everyone is ready to tell everyone about a relationship right when it starts.”
He smiled, kissing her on the cheek. “You’re so smart!”
“I know.” Iris smiled, shrugging and squeezing his arm.
Later, when they walked into the cortex to find Cisco leaning over Caitlin’s shoulder with barely any room between them, Barry and Iris shared a glance.
Iris cleared her throat, causing Cisco to look up abruptly, backing up slightly toward the wall.
“Hi guys, didn’t hear you come in.” His face bright red. Caitlin looked up from the screen and waved at her friends.
“Hi guys, how did the research go?” She asked.
“We could ask you the same thing.” Barry smirked, crossing his arms and looking between them.
“Is there something you wanna tell us?” Iris pursed her lips, coming to stand next to Barry.
“Nope I don’t think so. Good chat, catch you guys later for dinner maybe. Caitlin lets go,” Cisco grasped her wrist and started to pull her out of the cortex.
“Really, so you weren’t going to have dinner with just Caitlin, then Cisco?” Barry’s smirk faded into a floppy grin.
“Well maybe, but that’s because we’re friends, nothing else,” Caitlin’s eyes went wide.
“What?” She looked at Cisco, his head tilted toward the ground. “Cisco, what is Barry implying?”
“Wait, so you guys aren’t together?” Barry scratched his head.
“Yeah, we’re not.” Cisco frowned, “thanks for that.” He began to run out the door but he felt a hand stop him.
“Cisco, what is he taking about?” Her eyes were big and brown and full of confusion, Cisco wanted to cry right there on the spot.
Iris tapped Barry’s shoulder as if to signal for them to leave. He nodded and took her hand.
When Cisco could no longer hear footsteps, he sighed.
“I,” he wasn’t sure where he was going with this. “I think that I like you. Like, like you like you.” He scrunched his eyes shut.
“Oh,” Caitlin breathed out.
“And I thought that with all this extra time we’ve been spending together recently, you might just maybe feel the same way.” He hugged himself tightly. Caitlin stayed planted in front of him.
“Which you clearly don’t, so it doesn’t matter anyway.” He began to walk away when he felt an arm tug him forward.
“Cisco,” Caitlin began. “You think I don’t like you, I mean you know have feelings for you?” He nodded. She put an arm on his shoulder.
“I thought it was all just in my head, I thought you just liked having me over as a friend, and having assistance on your projects as a friend, I never thought you wanted something more or I would’ve told you.” And with that it all became clear.
He put his hand on her cheek, brushing his fingers lightly over her skin. “Can I kiss you?”
Caitlin giggled, nodded, and then she leaned in. At first she hesitated, but then they both let go and it was as if it was always supposed to happen like this.
When Cisco finally pulled back, after what seemed like hours, he just stared into her eyes. He tried to search them for any kind of answer, as if this was another equation he had to solve.
Caitlin just shook her head, and leaned back in to kiss him again.
He knew he had done something right when he could feel her smile against his lips.
He wasn’t sure what they would make of this, but maybe he had someone else to thank, or maybe this was always going to happen anyway.

Consolation
Killervibe The Flash finale fix-it fic
~.~
It happened like this.
Grief played its games in Caitlin’s brain. She’d felt this way before.
The difference wasn’t the DNA samples lost or the shattered glass on the floor. It was her voice bouncing off walls, echoing into silence. Everyone had passed or moved on, but she was stuck where she started, bruised knees on stained carpet with red wine static shocks licking her skin.
She slept with shards on her couch and the lightning out the window; Barry’s rebuke rattled her bones, reigniting that cruel flame within her no cure had fully doused. She picked up her phone and dialled numbers and in her bitterness she convinced herself he’d only make it worse. The truth was far simpler. Cisco could’ve said anything and it wouldn’t have done any good without his obliterated powers combing through her halved vengeful soul. Caitlin didn’t want to listen.
Picking up the pieces only fueled anger. And when her sobs hiccuped, the loneliness turned to despair. The man she turned her nose against swept up her broken plans, presenting its dustpan like it deserved a bow. Folie à deux never made much sense to her, but then she had a shirtless mad scientist sleeping in her dead sister’s room, pushing theories so nonsensical to the light it struck like crystal and turned to logic gold.
The cryochamber in her living room was once in her gift to Cisco’s quest for a happy life. The Antartican isolation post, quiet and eerie, grew warm with memories made there. That made it not so bad, she reasoned, stepping in, mouth ablaze with the burning substance she downed. This’ll be mine.
It was only when her hand slammed against the frozen glass and panic seized her throat, black in every corner edging further and further that she remembered. The fate she sealed into his arm that day was but a bandaid to a disease. That Cisco wasn’t really happy, and that it cost his soul too.
~.~
An hour passed standing by the purple and yellow buttercream cupcake tower with her phone dead silent in the back pocket of her pressed pink suit. Her fingers itched at her sides, eyes sharp at the sight of Chester and Allegra’s blossomed relationship, arms wrapped around each other and moon-faced with sweet first love. Caitlin’s smile couldn’t quite meet her eyes as hard as she tried.
“Is he not coming?” Barry asked, circling around the table with his new baby in his arms. With permission to check her phone, she let herself be disappointed at her new cell’s blank home screen.
“I left a voice mail.”
Barry looked at her, the restless anxiety she carried just barely concealed. His eyes softened when Nora hiccuped and he shifted. His hold was awkward and nervous but it was gentle and so sincere. Caitlin guided his hand to support Baby Nora’s neck. She stroked the soft infant hair and wondered if she would ever have a day like this for herself. Probably not. She made her peace with that long ago but every now and again a sorrowed wave of could-beens lapped at her shore.
“Thanks, Cait.” He still stared at Caitlin like she was a new invention. Like she wasn’t of their earth or made of their kind and that was so impossibly untrue. She’s never felt more human, no longer unmoored. The Frost that lived in her and beside her is gone but she can breathe with the emptiness, no longer sifted between two spirits Caitlin’s no longer cold. “Go.”
She bit her lip and hope ebbed through her. She glanced away at Iris still celebrating with Cecile whilst dropping hints for Nora from the future to speed back to the year she belongs.
“Are you sure?”
“Yeah,” he said. “Go home.”
If Barry looked at Caitlin like she was a goddess’ token, Cisco’s stricken face told her she was a ghost. She waved half of her fingers at his doorstep with a lopsided grin, already caught with the swell of relief and nostalgia to see every way he has and hasn’t changed. His hair was chopped–fluffy and wonderful, but so jarringly not curled into his shoulders it aged him like wine. But he was Cisco, her Cisco, visibly struggling to reconcile life and death before him and his heart on his sleeve was exactly what drew Caitlin to this man in the first place.
Every word of the speech she had in her head left the moment he stood in front of her. Her apologies and the interrogation for his glaring absence to one of the most important milestones of his best friend’s life that vexed her the longer she realized he wasn’t in an emergency all disappeared.
At a loss, she lifted the diaper disposal he sent to Central City, the pink bow still on top of the box. “Barry and Iris have two of these already.”
“Ah,” Cisco said.
“There wasn’t a gift receipt. I figured I’d save on the shipping. Why didn’t you come to Nora’s party?”
“I’m busy.” He glanced at his rejected gift and his mouth twitched, suppressing a frown already furrowing in his brows.
“With what?” She raised an eyebrow, waiting for an answer, but a snarky retort never came. Her expression flattened at the intensity of Cisco’s stare. Suddenly, Caitlin wondered if she did this all wrong. Casual, she attempted, downplaying her raging feelings to be respectful of Kamilla. Aloof, she decided to not get tangled in any expectations. But Cisco stared and stared and stared until the floor beneath her feet felt more like slippery ice than solid ground.
“You look so much like Caitlin.”
Pins and needles prickled beneath her skin and her heart dropped to her stomach. This wasn’t like ghost-sighting–Caitlin was a ghost.
How didn’t he know she was back? Barry spoke to him and he sent the welcome gift, she sent him voicemails and texts to his phone. But nine months was a long time, a whole being incubated to birth, and enough time for Khione to step out of her lab chamber, opening young eyes to discover life and find purpose. Certainly, enough time for her best friend to change his number.
“Cisco, I am Caitlin.”
His arm dropped numbly from the door edge and Caitlin went inside. She absorbed the eclectic knick knacks of Cisco’s old shoebox apartment scattered throughout this high-scale unit.
She dropped the diaper disposal on a black marble tabletop and then turned around. “Where’s Kamilla?”
“In Miami.” Still pressed against the front door, his eyes said what his pressed lips would not. The who and what and when and how? Always so expressive and bouncing with life, full brown with light and wisdom, they now seared into hers, uncomprehending and vulnerable. The distance in his voice disappeared after the quiet that settled between them. “You’re really Caitlin?”
Even her name on his tongue sounded old. A weight carried behind it like a loaded gun.
So she went with old and bore her weight in return.
“I think about all the memories I cherish the most and you are in every one of them,” she recited, heart open. There were other things she could’ve said. Inside jokes, and medical wounds she treated, but nothing felt more apropos than those lifeboat words of his that once buoyed her soul to surface.
Cisco stood before her, mouthing at his knuckle like he was biting down pain. “You were dead.”
“I’m here,” she said softly, reaching for his arm. The faded t-shirt he wore was soft and familiar.  Famous for being worn once too many nights pulling all-nighters at Star Labs.
“I got a call from Carla telling me you were gone.” Cisco’s eyes pierced into hers and once he started he couldn’t stop and Caitlin didn’t want him to.
“And the worst part is I wasn’t there for any of it. I could’ve stopped you before you–I would’ve seen the signs–Don’t look at me like that, we know it’s true. And after…” He laughed like he was still in disbelief, running a hand through his shortened hair mimicking his gesture of stress when there was enough of it to frizz up on the crown of his head like a muppet.  “There was no funeral. Nobody mourned. Like it didn’t happen and I couldn’t understand that…Barry and Iris partying like it was New Year's, posting pictures on Instagram while I was drinking to forget what it felt like seeing you die on the operating table wash over me again.”
“I never meant–”
“And when I finally showed up to Central City,” he said sharply, pointing his trembling finger at her, grief curved into every crevice of his face. “there you were again, Khione wearing your face again. But it wasn’t you. None of it was you. You didn’t know me. I was a stranger to my best friend. You didn’t know my name when I was the only one who cared you existed and knew you were worth more than a vote.”
“I know.”
“No, you don’t!” He tore away, and the strain in his voice humbled her. “How could you do that to yourself, just give your entire life away? And Mark was still around after everything he’d done, helping you to erase yourself from existence but they wanted me back for Nora’s party? Frack, no! I can’t!” His exhaustion caught up to him and he sagged onto the royal blue couch, knees knocking and arms folded in, dropping his head to the floor. “Caitlin, I can’t. Dante, Cynthia, hell, even Frost didn’t choose to die.”
Caitlin touched her tears as terrible relief flooded through her. So scared she had been that in the last nine months, he learned to no longer miss her when she was gone, for his life to have changed so much there would be no room for her again. “I made a mistake,” she told him. “This isn’t happening again.”
“Caitlin I’m tired of this game.”
She stepped forward with open palms. And again, deja vu flashed before her eyes.
They were in the speed lab as Barry zoomed laps overhead. Her in turquoise and him in light wash denim already falling into her hug with forgiveness on his lips.
They were at Mercury Labs, a funky Flash emblem shirt thrown over one of his classic tees, a lanyard access key swinging around his fingers, leaning against the lab table with his wind-tousled and soul-sucking dark eyes, tapping at her resolve for her to hang up her white coat with careless ease as she shrugged off loneliness.
They were at a bar, Cisco leaning against another countertop, jaded and beaten down from the long year’s journey, still following her every movement with that unforgettable pickup line flirtatious smile making her forget why she vowed to stay away.
Cisco hesitated only as shortly as he resisted seeing Caitlin Snow at his door, submitting to the urge to fold, holding her close and believing in the impossible again. That she was dead but she was back, and she promised to live her life now. Not Frost’s or Khione’s or her mother’s desires either. She was going to be Caitlin. And Caitlin is here for good.

Hi. Hope you're having a good day or afternoon or evening and staying safe. I wanted to ask you if you could write something for Blue Beetle in the scene where Jaime and his sister with y/n are fighting those soldiers in the underground with the red light and Jaime and Y/n like each other but they haven't told each other. Then, the fight is over and Jaime and his sister hug each other then Jaime and y/n hug each other too and she tells him she's glad he's okay.
Then, Jaime tells her and his sister that they have to get out of there but y/n stops him and gathers up the courage to tell him she has always liked him and she finally tells him. Jaime is speechless then y/n acts nervous and tells him that maybe telling him her feelings for him were probably stupid but Jaime assures her that it's not stupid and that he has also always liked her too but he just didn't know how to tell her.
She smiles at this and Jamie smiles too then he has an expression on his face like he's about to kiss her and Khaji Da notices that he wants to kiss her and says something about it. Jaime gets annoyed as he rolls his eyes and tells her to stop and while y/n & his sister laugh then he goes in and kisses her and his sister sees this and whistles.
Jaime and y/n let go from kissing and smile at his sister then his uncle Rudy when he comes and his sister tells uncle Rudy Jaime and y/n confessed their feelings for each other and kissed and Uncle Rudy whistles too and tells Jaime way a go. Jaime rolls his eyes then him and y/n both laugh while smiling then they get out of there to get Jenny and while Jaime and y/n are now holding hands together.
Thank you so much. Hope this is okay. Have a good day or afternoon or evening and stay safe. 😊😊😊
Hi! Welcome! It's a Lovely Dammit Hedgi Day and it's nice to see some new faces this year. To answer you question though: Nope! :) I don't write romance, self insert or otherwise, and even if I did, I only take simple concept/dialog prompts during the three weeks leading up to Dammit Hedgi Day. (note: I've gotten a few ship prompt requests today, which is why I'm responding publicly. This is not to shame or call anyone out! I just want the new folks to know that my prompts are closed for another year and I don't accept this kind of prompt. ) That said- It seems like you've got a solid outline for the story: you should give it a go yourself! I'm sure there's readers who would be interested.
Stay safe, have a lovely day yourself! Good luck with your fic, either in writing it or finding another fanwriter who is better suited to the task.

Stats tag game
I got this game from @andorerso, and I thought it looked neat! I'm going to use my whole AO3 account for this.
most hits (12404): Lost and Found - this actually surprised me! Not because I didn't know it was popular, but it's less than half the length of another longfic I did (see below), and counting hits by chapter does make it bigger.
fewest hits (20): Void - Not surprising. This is an old Firefly fic that got imported to AO3 from another archive a few years back, and it's still locked down.
most kudos (767): Faking It - Also not surprising. Rebelcap is a horny fandom y'all.
fewest kudos (3): Void again
most comments (399): Lost and Found again. So many people have so many feelings about my kidfic!
fewest comments (0): Ummm. There's a 15-way tie between some imported fics and some rarepairs. I will not think of it again.
most bookmarks (127): Long Odds - my fluffy May the 4th giftfic! Also one that got podficced. <blows kiss>
fewest bookmarks (0): Another multiple tie, with two imported fics and three of my beloved rarepair
most words (171,769): Living for Today - My angsty babyfic for Killervibe! Now this one I knew because I looked it up recently.
fewest words (173): Calculus - awww I remember this one! I don't think I even had to do a readmore on Tumblr for it.
I'm tagging @luciechat, @hedgiwithapen, @incognitajones, and anyone else who wants in.

2, 7, 14, 23 and 27 from salty ask please
2.) Are there any popular fandom OTPs you only BroTP?
KillerVibe, aka Cisco/Caitlin. I do get why it's a popular ship for those two, but I just can't. Their platonic love for each other is so lovely and I think I happened upon them right as I was feeling a bit burnt out on the 'men and women can't be just friends' trope. So these two being bffs and never a hint of anything else no matter how much they clearly loved each other?
Beautiful. Why would I want anything else for them?
Colette/Lloyd from Tales of Symphonia (which was just re-released on the latest consoles, if you haven't played it before and are looking for a new game to play... pick this game up, it's so good!!!!) - it's not enough to turn me off a fic for there to be Colette/Lloyd going on but I just... read them as having a sibling relationship. There's nothing really romantic about their interactions - honestly the only person who really says anything shippy about them is Genis. And Lloyd sounds like an exasperated older brother telling Genis to shut it when he does. Like... Colette is in many ways Lloyd's person - he does love her and he pays closer attention to her than the others do because he knows she's got a bad habit of not admitting when something is wrong. I just don't read what's there as romantic.
7.) Is there anything you used to like but can’t stand now?
Olicity. Oliver and Felicity had some really cute ship teasing going on in the early seasons. But when they actually acted on it... I can't really say they brought out the best in each other. Felicity struggled to trust Oliver but would paper over that with complaints about Oliver doing the same to her. But Oliver's issues were, at least, born out of ptsd and a lack of mental health self care. With Felicity's character, it just seemed like the writers were Flanderizing her to some degree and her character suffered a lot. Most irritatingly, Oliver grew further away from his comic book self instead of closer as was initially promised. I think their lowest point was hijacking the Westallen wedding, where Felicity made someone else's big day about her and Oliver just... went with it. But she also made a scene at the rehearsal when she'd thought Oliver was re-proposing to her and he wasn't. It was very uncomfortable to watch.
They were a lot better at dealing with other people without each other, but... *waves hands in a resigned fashion* together they were just kind of obnoxious in the end.
14.) Unpopular opinion about your fandom?
I guess that depends on the part of the fandom.
Eobard Thawne was massively mishandled post S2. He should have remained a posthumus character. All his interactions with Barry's future should have been in Eobard's past. Either with Barry traveling to the past to interact with EoWells or Mattobard showing up from points in his timeline that predated killing Nora Allen. S2 set that up really nicely, but unfortunately there was no follow through and they went in a different direction.
We'll never know for certain that Iris chose Barry because she was truly in love with him and not because everyone was saying it was her destiny. Even their E2 counterparts were married. If everyone tells you that something you aren't sure you want is the best thing for you ever and you'd be foolish to not do that thing then... if you do what you've been told by everyone in your life, is it actually because you want to? Or because you think you're supposed to? The show did, finally, sort of kind of not really acknowledge this. But... S9 when they've been married since S4 was... not the time to do that.
In S3 Future Barry should have been the one with the facial scars and Savitar with the ridiculous Emo!hair.
I... actually really enjoy Zoom coming off S1 with all the parallels that Team Flash is so oblivious too. It's only because of Savitar (and not to forget the Rival and Trajectory) that I feel like the show got overloaded with too many evil speedsters in the first three seasons. There were five - that was about three too many. (That said, Zoom probably should have been the S3 villain with S2 centered on the Rogues. Give the team some breathing room after dealing with Eobard.)
23.) Unpopular character you love?
Eobard Thawne. I will complain about him being overused and misused all day if prompted, but there's a reason why I gravitate to him as a lot as the main villain in my own writing. S1 Eobard on the Flash in particular is just such a fascinating and compelling villain. And Matt's take on him over in S2 of Legends is really great. His exasperation with his co-villains makes them all such fun.
Julian Albert. He was very unlucky in love, falling for Caitlin who clearly just... was not interested in return. And very unfortunate to have whatever was going on with Savitar and 'Alchemy'. But he gave Barry a much needed coworker at the CCPD. (Barry cannot be the only CSI in the entire CCPD. He just. Cannot. But it certainly seems that way sometimes, doesn't it?) If they'd followed through with making the not-Caitlin-not-Frost character in S4 the way S3 seemed to clearly intend, then perhaps Julian might have become the new team medic? Alas, we just get a single brief mention of him in S4 and not even a proper send off for him.
27.) Least shippable character?
Hmmm... Bart since I just haven't seen enough episodes with him to get a good read for his personality at all. And since most of the characters I have seen him interact with are either his parents, his grandparents, his honorary grandfather (Jay Garrick), or members of Team Flash who are presumably honorary aunts and uncles... who would I even ship him with? Certainly not Godspeed.
Sherlock and Joan from Elementary both read as different identities under the arospec umbrella that while I ship them as a QPR together, shipping either of them romantically with anyone - including each other - just feels like it'd make them out of character. They say they love each other in canon without it being automatically romantic. (big deal to me!!!!) So they're equally least shippable to me on that show. And it bewilders me that people do ship them romantically. (Did we not watch the same show? Did people not see how aro they are and how their friendship defies amatonormativity? *heavy sigh*)

I have/used to have a few straigth ships, and I want to make a list of them:
~~~~ Straigth ships that impacted me the most:
- Tsunade x Jiraya (Jiratsu): my first ship ever. As they say, you never forget your first ;) no, really, I loved them for 5 years, but now, I just cannot read fanfiction about them anymore. However, they still hold a special place in my memory. I used to create so many stories about them, in my head, everywhere I went... I didn't know the term at the time, but I had so many AUs with them. It was truly one of the best thing in my life back then. One of the happiest I would say. I used my imagination to create diverse scenario, just for myself, and it was so fun. They shaped my taste in ships, in trope and everything. I grew up with them.
- Abby Griffin x Marcus Kane (Kabby): I loved them so much. The Angst. The Affection. The Warmth. The Trust. Yeah, I used to really like them. I never finished the series though, so I didn't see the part where everyone and everything turn crazy. In my version, they're just in love and happy. You best believe that I will never watch the rest of the 100. It's one of the only ships that I have where I often prefered the AUs to the fanfictions that happened in the real world of the 100.
- Nymphadora Tonks x Remus Lupin (Remadora): They were like my second big ship after Jiratsuna. I didn't realize at the time that I was so into ships that always ended up with one of the two people dying. I've always loved angst, and I didn't even know the word at the time x) Anyway, coming back to them: what I really like at the time was the angst and the fact that they were canon. The latter is a very rare occurence in my ships, and I knew it even at that time, so I truly enjoyed it.
Skip x Crystal: They're from the anime Carole and Tuesday. I love, love, love, love them so much. In this ship, there are angst, love, nostalgia, affection, caring, history, potential for more, talent, and so much more. They're both incredible people, and I would want nothing more than a 40 minutes episode, or a animated movie, about those two, their story together and then their stories when they fell apart and after. And then, maybe at the end, a little scene between the two of them, after this concert at the sort of opera, once Skip gets out of jail. They would talk about their feelings, their desires and their future. Whether they want to spend it together or not. Whether they want to give another chance to their love or not. Crystal and Skip are both so down to earth, they wouldn't let any drama happens between them now (don't know how it was before, when they were younger). They lived, and they learned. Now, I believe they're ready for each other.
~~~~ Random straigth ships that I like/liked:
Jake Peralta x Amy Santiago (Peraltiago): I've never read a fanfic that was only about them, but they're a couple goal. They're so good and adorable together.
Cisco Ramon x Caitlin Snow (Killervibe): I don't really ship them anymore but damn, I always had something for 'best friends who become so much more' ;^; For this type of ship, I'm always like "But if there had been a click… There would have been something amazing, sweet and beautiful between them". At the time, maybe two years ago, I think I read pretty much every fic there was about them.
Nia Nal x Brainy (Brainia): Yeah, you can probably tell that I watched DC superheroes shows. Nia and Brainy are super cute, at least in season 4 and 5, and I will ignore anyone who disagrees. I didn't catch up with the end of Supergirl, but I hope everything went well for them.
I think that's about it. I had a few others, but I realize that I didn't like them as much as I love /loved the ones here.
Creating this list makes me want to do the same for my sapphic ships...

T my love this was so fun to make (also I allowed myself 2 Taylor songs bc I know you're a Swiftie so thanks for that)
First I wanted something for KillerVibe themselves, so I had to have a little friends to lovers action (not quite since they were 18 but close enough)
Then for whatever reason I associate you with Christmas, probably because of the many amazing Christmas fics you've written (and Caitlin making it snow scene you will always be famous) so of course
Next I wanted something from a musical, and I know you're a Spider-Man fan so what better than something from Andrew himself (side note if you haven't watched Tick Tick Boom yet you MUST)
And then I wanted something to represent our joint love of the superhero genre, Arrowverse, Marvel and more (and our love of self-sacrificing idiots and the angst they provide)
And finally a shoutout to our love of peak cinema: Barbie movies. (Because she used to switch out these Kens! She'd just ghost! Also saw a TikTok theory that this could be on the soundtrack and god yes please I need it)
(Taylor put Hits Different on Spotify so I don't have to use a dodgy podcast link that'll definitely get taken down challenge)

Ooh for Arrowverse ships…Goldenfrost, Killervibe, and Snowstorm?
Goldenfrost!!
Tumblr media
It's cute, it's funny, I can see Frost and Cisco fighting over her and that image is hilarious. They both have daddy issues and done crime sprees and I think if Lisa's still a thief on E-2 then she and E-2 Frost definitely did a few jobs together. But ultimately, Lisa's not canonically a meta, and Frost's kiss had the potential to kill her without Cisco's fix-it bandaid syringe thingie.... SO.... while it's so very good, I don't know how stable or serious that relationship would/could be, BUT. if they could hook up they would. friends w benefits. situationship. something something
Killervibe!!
Tumblr media
To me, Frost is a monosexual lesbian. That woman is gay. She is a homosexual. I cannot see her any other way. She and Cisco are besties tho!
Snowstorm!!
Tumblr media
THE POTENTIAL! MARRIED SUPERHERO LIFE! WE WERE ROBBED! I HEADCANONNED FOR YEARS THAT THE TRIP CAITLIN MENTIONED TO CISCO WHEN MEETING HIM WAS THE TRIP SNOWSTORM GOT ENGAGED ON DURING AND I THINK THATS CANON NOW AND I JUST HAD TO MENTION IT, ANYWAY. i have so many headcanons for them. i've written so much fic. falling in love awkwardly during work and the fire and ice symbolism and how they're so self-aware that they canonically went to couples counseling and there's this deleted snowstorm scene where caitlin shows ronnie their place after he comes back and holy rao and i'm going to scream. fucking bingo!

you can usually tell a lot about a person by the type of music they listen to. put your favourite playlist on shuffle and list the first ten songs then tag ten people! no skipping!
I was tagged by @infp-obsessing-over-everything (thank you!!!) and I picked my ‘taani shekhawat vibes’ playlist for this because it’s a pretty solid mix of all my other playlists.
1) “Numb Little Bug” by Em Beihold (I kept switching this song back and forth from my ‘guess i’ll just cry then’ playlist to my ‘fuck this shit playlist’, so I eventually moved both this song and its piano version to the Taani playlist.)
2) “Stop The Rain” by Ed Sheeran (his new album is his best album)
3) “Paper Planes” by Elina (nobody talk to me, there’s a reason why I always skip this song, fuck, I’m gonna get kicked out of the library)
4) “Nicer” - Katelyn Tarver (the fact that she never got to sing on the BTR show is my villain origin story)
5) “Remember That Night?” by Sara Keys (I’m fine)
6) “Wanted” by Bullyheart (NO, not this, not now)
7) “Falling” by Harry Styles (you know WHAT- this hits so much harder when I remember Chapter 1 of Unwritten)
8) “Treat Myself” by Victoria Justice (this song is not about what you think it’s about, it’s actually kinda sad)
9) “Would You Be So Kind” by dodie (this is THE Taani song and also, I just really love dodie, I also have Secret For The Mad on this playlist)
10) “Nostalgic” by ROSIE (this is also THE Taani song... but this more the second half of her character arc where they ruined everything, it’s fine, I’m not bitter or anything, it’s not like this song keeps fueling my desire to keep writing D3 fics out of pure spite or anything like that, no, of course not)
I’m tagging: @salvatorestjohn @shaonharryandpannisim @andthatscanon @sassyfoxunknown @killervibe @chashmishh @lightninginmyeyes @m0hinii @temmie-loony @musiquesduciel and anyone else who wants to do this

I don't know how this works, so... Never Have You Ever Written a St. Valentine's fic?
You know, for a moment, I went, "wait *have* I???" But when I searched my AO3 list, I pulled this up, written for a 2018 Valentine's Day gift exchange for Rebelcaptain: A Little Friendly Advice
I also wrote Secret Admirer for the Killervibe fandom back in 2017.
Awww, these were fun fics! Thanks for reminding me of them.

I'll be waiting for you
 When Caitlin gets invited to her cousin’s wedding, she insists on Cisco teaching her how to dance. (based on the fact that Caitlin can’t dance in 7x13)
~~~~
Something Cisco Ramon never thought he’d be doing on a Sunday morning in the middle of august would be this.
He was clad in running shoes and sweatpants, accompanied by a STAR labs sweater. The music was blaring loudly and echoing off of the metal walls as he heard footsteps behind him.
He turned to see his best friend enter the speed lab, the sound of her heels clicking across the floor. Caitlin gave a small smile as she walked over to him, brushing a piece of hair behind her ear.
“Good morning,” She told him, walking over to the control panel and lowering the music. Cisco followed her, leaning against the railing, letting hair fall in front of his face.
She wasn’t wearing any make up and she was still in her pajamas, she looked beautiful. He grinned up at her as she began to scroll through his Spotify playlist.
“How about this one?” She clicked play and To love you more by Celine Dion started blasting through the speaker system all around the room. Cisco nodded, holding out his hand for her to take.
“M’lady,” He bowed his head slightly, making Caitlin giggle as she put her hand in his. He helped her down the stairs, pulling her closer to his side as they walked to the center of the room. The heels gave her a few inches on him, he noticed as she looked down at him.
Caitlin blushed, kicking off her heels and wincing as her bare feet touched the cold metal. Cisco smiled brightly, now that they were eye level.
“Okay, so to start, I’m going to put my hand here,” He began, placing his right hand on her back. Caitlin took a step closer to him, making sure not to crowd him. “And then my other hand holds your hand like this,” He picked up her right hand with his, clasping it tightly.
“And then your left hand is going to go on my right shoulder.” He dropped his hand from her back and grasped hers in his. He brought it up to rest on his shoulder and then returned his hand to her back.
Caitlin nodded, trying to follow along with his instructions. She took a deep breath, relaxing in his arms as he tightened his hold.
“And then we move in 3 step time,” Caitlin raised an eyebrow at him, chewing on her bottom lip. “It’s not as hard as it sounds, just relax and follow my lead.” He reassured her, beginning to take a step forward in time with the music.
Caitlin took that as her cue to start moving as well, she slowly brought her foot forward as Cisco came to meet hers. She heard a grunt escape his lips as her foot landed on his, him cursing under his breath.
“Oh I’m so sorry!” She exclaimed, taking a step back and pulling away from his arms.
“It’s okay,” He chuckled, pulling her back in. “Let’s go slowly, you step back as I step forward.” Caitlin nodded, taking a deep breath.
He stepped forward as she stepped back, he then brought his other foot to meet the other one and she did the same backwards. He then took a step to the side and she followed, looking down at their feet to try and not make the same mistake twice.
He began to pick up pace as they moved in circles around the speed lab, stepping in time with the music. Caitlin’s hair lifted off of her shoulders as they went even faster.
He slowly removed his arm from her back, twirling her with his left hand. Caitlin giggled loudly as he pulled her back to him.
“Woah,” Escaped her lips as Cisco began to dip her. He held her there for a few seconds, or minutes, or days, she wasn’t sure. He locked in her gaze as he slowly brought her back up to an upright position.
“That was,” She trailed off, trying to catch her breath.
“It was fun,” He finished for her, releasing his arms and taking a step back. Caitlin nodded in agreement, a warm blush creeping up her cheeks. “You’ll be perfect for the wedding.” He smiled as the song began to finish.
“Um, so thank you,” She began, “For this, the lessons and thank you for teaching me.” She averted her gaze to the ceiling as she began to pace in small circles.
“You are better than you think you are, glad me taking dance classes in high school paid off,” He chuckled as he pulled his sweatshirt over his head.
Caitlin tried not to stare as he rolled up the sleeves of his undershirt. He ran a hand through his hair, tossing it from one side to the other.
“Caitlin,” He said her name, putting a hand on her shoulder.
“Oh right, yeah, thank you, yeah,” She gave him a crooked smile.
“You alright?” He put the back of his hand on her forehead, pretending to take her temperature.
“Yeah, I’m fine, just tired, is all, but I do have a question,” She stated, walking over and picking up her heels. Cisco followed her, leaning against the rail. “Would you like to be my plus one?” She asked.
Cisco smiled brightly, nodding his head. “I’d love to, let me just make sure I’m free next weekend.” Caitlin furrowed her brow, wondering what he could possibly be doing on a saturday night without her.
“And I’m free,” He put his phone back in his pocket and brushed his free hand against her arm. “I’ll drive,” He winked, opening up a breech and walking through it.
Caitlin watched as the vortex closed behind him, it was going to be an interesting weekend to say the least.
Cisco knocked on Caitlin’s apartment door Saturday afternoon dressed in the best suit and tie he could pull together on such a short notice. He heard footsteps approaching and then a click of the lock.
Cisco looked up and he couldn’t believe what he was seeing. Caitlin was dressed in a knee length navy blue A-line dress and silver heels. Her curls flowed down her back, reaching her shoulder blades.
“Caitlin, oh my God,” He gulped, his mouth hanging open. “You look beautiful,” She smiled, nodding at his complement.
“You don’t look too bad yourself,” Cisco went crimson as he held out his arm. Caitlin looped her arm through his and locked the door behind her.
The drive outside of the city to the wedding venue was a comfortable silence as Cisco exited the highway and onto the country road.
Cisco pulled onto the gravel lot and parked at the end of the row of cars. Caitlin got out of the passenger side and took Cisco’s arm as they made their way to the tents.
As the night went on, Cisco would sneak glances from across the table every chance he got. When Caitlin was mingling with her cousin he would try his hardest not to stare at her bright smile or her adoring eyes.
One of the groomsmen asked Caitlin to dance which she happily agreed to, looking back at Cisco to show him her dancing. He curled his fist into the table cloth, trying to mask his jealousy, giving her an uneasy smile instead.
As the dance floor began to grow less crowded and the night began to fade, Cisco walked up to her and tapped her shoulder.
“May I cut in?” He pressed, holding out his hand. Caitlin bid the other man farewell and leaned into cisco as they moved around the room.
They stepped in time with the music until the song ended. They broke apart and clapped for the band before Caitlin felt a tug on her arm.
Cisco led her to the back of the ten, slipping outside underneath the starlight.
“Cisco what is it?” Caitlin whispered as he walked out onto the grass.
“All night I’ve been watching you dance with other men, wanting for it to be me,” Caitlin looked up at him, giving him a confused look. “And then I finally got to dance with you, in front of everyone,”
“Cisco,”
“No, I’m not finished. Caitlin you looked beautiful tonight, you always look beautiful but when I opened your door and you stepped out it’s as if the entire world stood still,” Cisco continued,
“What are you trying to say?” Caitlin asked, raising an eyebrow.
“What I’m trying to say is…” And with all the courage he could muster, Cisco stepped closer to her and brushed his palm against her cheek. “I’m in love with you Caitlin,” Caitlin’s eyes went wide as the last few words escaped his lips.
“You’re, you’re what? In love?” Cisco nodded, and before she could say anything else, he kissed her.
Caitlin gasped before relaxing against him. She tasted like wedding cake and red wine and all he could think of was her.
Caitlin stepped closer towards him, wrapping her arms around his neck, deepening the kiss.
And after a few moments she pulled away and he kept his hands on her waist.
“Cisco,” She rasped out, slightly out of breath.
“Maybe we should go to weddings together more often,” He chuckled, taking her hand in his as they walked back up the hill.
Maybe the next wedding would be theirs.
