Take Care of Yourself: Chapter 1
Tumblr media
Story Summary: Aspiring Demon Slayer Giyu Tomioka is on a quest to prove himself, and he doesn't think it matters too much what happens to him in the process. When he winds up in the hospital again, however, he discovers there is someone who does.
Giyu & Shinobu's relationship through the years and an origin story of how they became friends.
Fandom: Demon Slayer/Kimetsu no Yaiba
Genre: Friendship, Developing Friendship, Hurt/Comfort, Angst
Relationships: Giyu Tomioka & Shinobu Kocho Friendship (though I suppose you could take it in a romantic way if you really wanted it to be) [A/N: This story focuses on how their relationship developed over time and how deeply and genuinely they care about each other so how you want to qualify that (platonic or romantic) is really up to you. My intention was to write about their platonic friendship, but I have been told that the final chapter could lean a little more romantic than the others(?) so warnings for that upfront...]
Characters: Giyu Tomioka (POV Character) and Shinobu Kocho. [Kanae Kocho and Sabito are mentioned but do not physically appear in this story. Sanemi Shinazugawa is briefly mentioned once in every chapter as an easter egg for my sister who loves him and encouraged me to write this story in the first place].
Rating: T for Thematic Elements (Please see "Warnings" below for more details)
Warnings: Heavy themes (i.e. grief, emotional trauma, & survivor guilt), mentions of (non-depicted) past deaths, and depiction of injuries as well as some discussion of demon slaying violence related to those injuries. Ch. 3 has some action sequences and mild, non-gory/non-graphic depictions of demon slaying. All chapters contain SPOILERS for and through Ch. 131 of the manga. Ch. 3 & Ch. 4 contain vague spoilers from and through Ch. 163 of the manga and some related foreshadowing.
Word Count: 1465 (Chapter 1) [7573 Total]

Tumblr Link to the Next Chapter: Chapter 2
Note: This is an older story of mine, but I am posting it here to Tumblr for Shinobu's upcoming birthday (since as much as I want to write another story to celebrate my favourite Demon Slayer character, I'm afraid I will not have time this year...)
Chapter 1 below the cut. Please note: This chapter contains spoilers through Ch. 131 of Kimetsu no Yaiba/Demon Slayer manga so please proceed with caution if you do not want to be spoiled. Thank you for reading! 🦋
“Ah! Tomioka-san!” exclaimed Shinobu Kocho nearly dropping the tray of medicines she was holding. “Why didn’t you call for someone when you woke up?”
Giyu shrugged. Though he could hear voices from other wards in the Butterfly Estate’s hospital, the beds on either side of his were both empty, and his broken jaw and mangled throat were not conducive to calling out loudly for help. Kocho must have realized this as well as she added hurriedly, “Don’t answer that.”
Giyu blinked at her as she steadied herself and picked up some of the vials that had tipped over in her shock. His head throbbed, and he felt a sharp pain in his left leg—it was probably broken as well.
“You’ve broken your leg and several ribs,” Kocho confirmed as she set the medicine tray on the nearby table. “Not to mention your jaw and what happened to your throat—I assume that demon tried to strangle you?”
Giyu nodded. That was one of the most vivid memories he had of his most recent battle. The rest were a hazy mess in his subconscious. Kocho nodded stiffly and took a seat on the stool at his bedside. She motioned to a thick bandage on his right arm and one on his abdomen before taking his hand and pressing her thumb to his wrist to take his pulse. “You lost a lot of blood. We gave you a transfusion, but you’ve been fighting low blood pressure for awhile now.”
“How long was I out?” he asked in a whisper so gravelly and hoarse he could scarcely believe it had come out of his own mouth.
“Two weeks,” said Kocho almost stiffly but her hands were shaking slightly as she let go of his wrist. Giyu’s eyes widened. When he had awoken weary and aching, connected to all kinds of medical instruments, he had assumed he had been unconscious for a couple of days but two weeks…?
“Did I miss anything important?”
Kocho blinked at him for a split-second before she tilted her head and flashed that teasing smile of hers, “Guess you’ll never know, will you?”
Giyu sighed slouching back against the headboard in the hopes of appeasing his broken ribs which, it seemed, strongly objected to him sitting up. His eyebrows twitched almost wincing as he shifted, and if he didn’t know better, he could have sworn Kocho’s face softened for just a moment. However, the frown which almost immediately followed suggested otherwise.
“This is the fourth time you’ve been in here in the past two months.” She huffed. “You’re almost as bad as Shinazugawa-san.”
“Who?” asked Giyu.
Kocho huffed again and rolled her eyes. “He calls himself a demon slayer but his weapon of choice is his fists. He’s in here nearly every other week. I told Nee-san we should tell him we’re not going to wrap his wounds for him again until he stops being so reckless, but she has this strange fondness for him.” Kocho rolled her eyes again as she began removing the bandages from his arm. “With how often you’re both here, I’m surprised you haven’t met each other yet.”
Giyu shrugged. In the short time that had passed since he had joined the Demon Slayer Corps, he hadn’t met many people mostly by choice and partially because of his reserved, introverted nature. The two Kocho sisters were the only other demon slayers he saw regularly, but that was only because he was constantly injured. Despite being so young, Kanae and Shinobu Kocho were talented healers who converted their home into a hospital for wounded demon slayers, and Giyu often felt he spent more time in the Butterfly Mansion being treated and rehabilitated than he spent out in the field. He supposed this Shinazugawa-san was the same.
Kocho hummed as she unspooled some of the new dressings for his arm. “I guess we do try to keep Shinazugawa-san away from the other patients. He is very disruptive and generally unpleasant.” She sighed. “But you really got yourself beat up this time—you’ll probably be here long enough to run into him.”
Frowning, Kocho picked up his arm and examined the deep gash from his shoulder to elbow. “I don’t even know how you got some of these injuries. What happened?”
“I fought a demon…” he answered dryly—tilting his head. He wasn’t sure he understood the question.
Kocho glared at him and huffed, “You acted recklessly. You can’t keep breaking the same bones and sustaining all of these injuries. Your body won’t be able to handle it.”
Giyu blinked at her. What exactly did she expect him to do? This was the Demon Slayer Corps after all.
Kocho’s movements tensed as she began to wrap his arm. He could tell she was angry, but her hands were gentle as she bandaged his wound. “Every time I see you, you’re in worse and worse shape—maimed, seriously injured—and I know it’s not because of your abilities. Everyone is talking about you. You’re very powerful. They say you’re going to be the next Water Hashira. But you run around with a wanton disregard for your life! It’s one thing to be brave and make sacrifices, but you don’t seem to care one way or another what happens to you. I can’t tell if you’re foolhardy or just an airhead.”
After a pause, Giyu replied, “I’m not foolhardy or an airhead.”
“You could’ve fooled me,” huffed Kocho pulling the bandage tightly. Giyu’s face twitched, and she loosened her grip though she glowered at him, “Why do you do this to yourself? Are you trying to get yourself killed?”
Giyu shrugged. After joining the Demon Slayer Corps alone, he had felt so lost. Taking missions, defeating demons, and protecting people, almost made him feel like he had a purpose again, but he knew no matter how many demons he slayed and how high he rose in the ranks, nothing he did could ever make up for his Final Selection. In the end, he wouldn’t be able to earn his right to be here. The best he could do was protect who he could with whatever borrowed time he had left. “I’m doing my job. I don’t think it matters what happens to me.”
Abruptly, Kocho stopped wrapping his wound and stood up from her stool. Despite being so petite, she seemed to tower over him formidably. Her brow furrowed, and she clinched her fists. “Are you stupid or something?” she demanded. “Why would you say something like that? Some nonsense like it doesn’t matter what happens to you? Yes, you’re a demon slayer and you very well may have to make the ultimate sacrifice one day, but that doesn’t mean you should be so careless with your life! You joined the Corps to protect people, didn’t you? Well, what would’ve happened to those people you just saved if you weren’t there? You can’t protect anyone if you’re dead!” She paused huffing as if trying unsuccessfully to calm herself down, but she had never seemed so angry. Her words seemed to tumble out of her mouth faster than Giyu could keep up with them. “You are strong and powerful, and you have your life. There are a lot of people who can’t say that. You can’t just throw it all away without a fight! It’s not brave or noble, it’s just reckless and…and selfish!”
Giyu looked up at Kocho’s glowering face and stormy eyes. He had seen this look before. Something inside him twisted, and his chest ached. Someone he had cared about very much had used the same kind of tough love—somehow Giyu had almost forgotten. His eyes grew almost misty at the thought—Sabito probably would’ve liked Kocho.
Giyu sniffled, and Kocho’s expression faltered. She turned away from him abruptly and fidgeted. “Uh…that was a little harsh,” she said in a softer, uneven tone. She swallowed as she took her seat on the stool again. “I didn’t…” she stopped abruptly. “What I meant was…”—Her face softened just slightly—“You should take care of yourself. That’s all.”
Giyu felt something twist in the ache in his chest. He had lost so many people and had been alone for so long. He couldn’t remember the last time someone had told him to take care of himself. Something prickled behind his eyes, and his mouth just barely turned up in the corners bitter-sweetly as he choked out in a gravelly whisper, “Thank you.”
Kocho’s eyes widened, but she cleared her throat and looked away from him. “If you really want to thank me, you’ll stop being so reckless,” she said tying off the bandages on his arm. “I don’t want to see you back here for a long, long time.”

1st anime crush vs current anime crush from the same anime
I don't really watch anime (I read manga more) so I'm just going by the first three shows that pop up on my reading list
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Hayato Kamitani -> Usaida Yoshihito (School Babysitters / Gakuen Babysitters)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Mamoru Chiba/Darien -> Haruka Tenou/Amara (Sailor Moon)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Giyu Tomioka -> Obanai Iguro (Demon Slayer/Kimetsu no Yaiba)
3 Characters Who Live Rent Free
How do I only choose three?
Wanda Maximoff (Marvel) - I don't remember how I was first introduced to Wanda but I've loved her ever since. Her character has gone through so much (not just in the MCU *cough cough* House of M) and it just makes my heart ache for her. She just wants to have a good life with her family and they just keep being taken from her. Why must she continue to suffer? Leave her alone!!! God I just want to wrap her up in a blanket and make sure nothing bad happens to her again
Rose Quartz/Pink Diamond (Steven Universe) - Rose is such an interesting character because I know she's so polarizing in the fandom. I think it's just so fascinating how we see her arc in reverse; at first, she's this character whose been put on this pedestal and described as this caring and loving figure and then we learn that she was Pink Diamond who was this selfish and childish authority figure. She's just such a complex and gray character which is why I think about her often
Andrew!Peter Parker (Marvel) - Andrew's Peter is my favorite of all the live-action Spider-Man. I love that they went in a different direction with his films by having his love interest be Gwen Stacy. Their story was so cute and I just love how passionate he was about playing Peter. My dork <3

Manga vs Anime
Anime adaptations always excite me. I mean it excites many of us. To be able to see your favorite character move and talk. To see those epic scenes come to life with epic soundtracks. For the most part, I'm not too fussy when it comes to anime. I'm also not super critical when they leave stuff out or make (minor) changes.
I've been watching Chainsaw Man, and it's been great so far. But there was something that I felt was missing at times. So I went back after last week's episode and looked back at those early manga chapters.
And it was then I realized. The manga had a rawness that was not showing on screen. So I thought back to other (recent) anime. Things like Kimetsu no Yaiba or Jujutsu Kaisen. Even something like Haikyuu or Gintama. And in those anime, I didn't feel like something was missing after watching them. So I went through the list of manga I've read and I realized there were actually other anime that left me also feeling like how I do about CSM. Naming the popular ones, One Piece, Tokyo Ghoul, and Magi. Even Daiya no Ace. (We are only talking about animation here, not how the stories are adapted.) And I think the reason is that those manga are very detailed. They leave you with a detailed image about certain scenes.
Let's take the scene below from CSM manga:
Tumblr media
You can see the intensity of the building exploding. The size looks huge. The windows all shattering. It feels like utter carnage
Now here's the corresponding scene from the anime:
Tumblr media
It lacks that feeling of havoc. Let's take another scene from the manga:
Tumblr media
Denji looks like utter shit. I can see that. It evokes an emotion from me that I just don't get from the anime scene below:
Tumblr media
It doesn't have the rawness, grittiness or darkness that I get from the manga. (Not the best words to describe what I mean, but that's all my brain could come up with.)
When scenes are animated, it kinda cleans the image up. Or well gets simplified. And it's understandable why. It's a moving scene. It doesn't need to be so detailed. To include all the finer details would require too much time, effort, and money. It's just not needed or worth it.
One of the first things I ever realized when I first started watching anime adaptations, was how hair generally looked nicer in manga. And it was due to the simplification that it would loose texture or ‘flowiness’ in anime.
But take a look at this scene from Jujutsu Kaisen manga:
Tumblr media
And I'm sure a lot of you have seen this from the anime:
Tumblr media
In this instance I get the same feel and emotion from both.
By the way I'm not criticizing or trashing CSM. I'm only using CSM as an example. I think those scenes with Power's back story for instance was very well done. In fact maybe even better than the manga. The emotions on her face made me feel something more than I did in the manga. It's just something every now and then that doesn’t hit. An anime that comes to mind now is Vinland Saga. There were moments that were simply amazing, but every once in a while it was a little, flat. I also understand in manga they have to convey something to you in a short amount of time. So a lot of effort gets put into each panel to create the necessary emotion or atmosphere. Things in black and white also create a different look.
I know all this but I just feel a bit annoyed. You can't fault the anime, but you sometimes don't get the emotion you get from the manga. I mean sure, I'll watch and enjoy the anime. But in the back of my mind I'll have this other image and emotion.
Anyway I've rambled long enough. Basically it sucks that my brain is doing this to me. But I suppose the good thing is, it doesn't stop me from watching it.

All the chapters on the First Arc of "Kimetsu No Yaiba - Kaminari To Honou No" are available on Ao3! The Second Arc is planned to start being published in the last trimester of 2022, possibly November or December.
If you don't know what the heck is it, KNYKTHN is a canon divergent fanfiction set in the universe of Kimetsu No Yaiba, from Koyoharu Gotōge: it focus on my two original characters, Akira and Asdor, and how their presence (and other original characters as well) change the shape and path of the story around them, with their adventures, struggles, battles and beliefs about the world around them.
It has many oc x canon interactions, a lot of research was put into it (from history to linguistics, geography and more) and this is not a simple rewrite. It is wild and deviate. It is angst and happiness, and has plenty of relatability to be done with the characters, as well as an opportunity to see the already known cast dealing with how much impact such a war against the supernatural causes on someone's mental health and lifestyle.
Don't worry if you miss the surreal, violent battles: they'll still be present on this story as well (and possibly even more rich in details). They might not be the focus but, when they do show up, you might wonder if you were mentally stable enough to deal with the impact they will cause not only on the characters but on yourself as a reader.
Well, I guess I've sold my fish already, but if you have any doubts, there is a giant post in my #faq tag, which you could check if you want a more detailed description. And if you still have any doubts, my inbox (asks and DMs) are open!
Don't let the "oc x canon" and "canon divergent" tags scare you, we have reached the mark of 100 hits on Ao3 recently, which means a lot to me, but is also a signal that many people decided to check it out and are already waiting for more! 💛
(i promise there's a comemorative art coming soon as a thank you for all this support)
Here's ✨ a link ✨ for your consideration, if you don't want to search it in the site.

I hope you have fun, but also, don't forget your box of kleenex... You will eventually need it.

V.
A stronger wind sways the branches of the weeping willow. Below it, a lone figure.
Seated on the wooden bench, you’re weaving a small basket, focused on the task with a tense expression, a crease between your brows. Your hair is in disarray, strands like silk whipping against your stony features.
Nearby, Michikatsu stands by the still mirror of the pond, gazing up at the sky. There will be heavy rains this season. The idle thought melts away as he turns, his attention drawn by the movement of your hands. The silence continues for a long while.
“Their lives weigh down upon me.” His men. All of them dead in the events two weeks prior. He still feels the thick slime of their blood smeared over his clothes when he awakens. He failed them.
Your hands pause, then resume their nimble movements. Somewhere in the distance, you both hear Genji’s laughter, caught in his play. Michikatsu feels ill at the thought of leaving that laughter behind, but what gnaws at him is stronger: a beast with teeth of iron that once bit at his heart, asleep for many years, so deeply he thought it had died. But recent events on an ill-fated night had all but revived the sickness within, and now it suffocates him. He must do this, whatever it takes.
“Hisami, do you believe me?”
You swallow emptily but keep your peace.
“Akai’s fever has abated,” you say then. Your daughter has been passed to the nursemaid for the time being, and after the initial fright, her state has been steadily improving.
“I know,” he says, and since he knows you, he also knows what you’re doing. It will not change his resolve, though a side of him wishes it could. Michikatsu walks over and slowly sinks to his knees, facing you. “I must do this for them. They are gone, their families grieve, and I am to blame. Do you see? Others fight the creatures, Hisami. They have been doing so since ancient times.”
“And… now you think your place is among them.” Your words are bland, void of inflection. Your eyes stay on your work, never on him.
“For a while.”
His hand grasps your knee; your fingers cease their frantic work, and you finally raise your gaze to his. “Please… tell me why.”
“I… do not understand.”
“We’ve known each other for a lifetime, and yet…” your hands are fisted in your lap. You take a deep breath. “I never faulted your honesty, and I always had your trust. Why? Why must you leave? Ever since you’ve returned, you barely eat, and you stare at the children as though they were strangers—”
“That is not true and you know it.”
“Your body is here…” you go on, unabated, “but your mind is nowhere near.”
He rises, turning away from you. A sigh leaves him. “If I fail again, one day we might be in line as prey. Is that preferable?”
“Michikatsu, please…” your voice breaks, the words torn at the stem. You fall silent again.
The wind whistles through the tree’s flowing crown. “I want to be prepared,” he speaks after a while. “Joining my brother is the best course to follow.”
He knows you understand. He knows you hurt. But he knows he cannot stay or else the beast within will eat at him until nothing is left. “I will find you later.” With that, he makes to leave the garden.
“We are a family... are you not happy? Are you not content?”
Your voice is small in his wake, and Michikatsu pauses, his back still turned.
No, no he is not. His peace was shattered the moment a red blade cut through his impending death that same night, when the flash of familiar eyes and inhuman reflexes reminded him how his goal was another, and how his life had been empty of it.
“It is only for a while, Hisami.” Your name is bitter on his tongue as he leaves the garden.
Tumblr media
Your eyelids shiver from a teasing ray of light. A lingering ache intensifies as you move your head, one hand instinctively placed at the source—your neck. Images disperse as you free yourself from the weaving of yet another dream, this one more vivid than the last. You can still see the pond before you and remember the chill of the wind tugging at your hair, accompanied by the sounds of a child’s laughter. And someone... How odd. The haze lifts from your eyes as your fingers come upon … bandaging? Focus skewed, you rise like one who’s had a cup of sake too many. You haven’t felt as weak in a long time, as though a sudden illness has taken over your body and dulls your movement. Dizziness makes your head spin so you take your time, breathing deeply for a while before standing.
And then, you gain a reminiscence of the previous night. Not an illness, but blood loss: that’s the culprit. “Ngh…” You bring a hand to your face, rubbing at your temples.
You’d offered this, but in hindsight, perhaps it was indeed stupidity, or either way a lapse of reason, that moved you to it. The sight of him had been so strange. He looked so weak, swallowing emptily while fisting his hands to hide a tremble, his gaze so intense it stripped you of reason; there was yearning, but not for you as much as something within you.
“Blood, is it?” you wonder aloud.
More fool you, thinking such a being whose nature is foreign to you might be gentle, and concerning such an act no less. You should’ve known better, of course, but then you’d always had a cursed sense of curiosity. Your fingers trace the bandage at your neck as you catch sight of yourself in the mirror: his doing, presumably. Made a tidy work of it, too. Despite the damage he’s done, he took the time to tend to the wound. What a peculiar fiend. Why bother?
And what if he returns specifically for more of this?
As you unwrap the cloth you see the area around two punctures has turned a mottled crimson, widening towards your collarbone, like crushed red spider lilies on your skin. But another aspect unsettles more than this sight: it began as one of the worst sensations you’d ever experienced, but then, slowly, weavings of pleasure wracked your body even as you asked him to slow, to give you a reprieve, the pain confusing your senses when laced with the heat and pressure of him at your veins.
“Again, what the hell is happening to me…”
His explanations beforehand had made little sense, in hindsight. All that talk of demons, creatures who roam the night. His appearance you thought might be a sort of disguise, but who’s to say whether you simply have a madman on your hands? And yet.
The priest. You recall his warning concerning the Paradise Faith leader, but why should you believe anything he says, after what happened? He’s not even given you his name, has he? He did say they may only roam at night.
“Very well,” you take a piece of cloth and dip it in clean water, wincing as you dab at the abused area. “Then, I will go during the day.”
Tumblr media
“Have you gotten any further insight?”
“No, Muzan-sama.”
He’d traveled far and wide, he’d changed form and infiltrated human society in the most remote areas, and yet there is no such notion of what his master has been seeking for centuries now. The blue spider lily, if it ever existed, has perished as a strain or is hidden in faraway lands. But, of course, he sees no reason to expose these thoughts to one who will never renounce this search.
This chamber of the castle with its furnishings reminds him of the Edo era. Nakime likes to keep things diverse in her domain, it seems.
“Is that all you have to say?” Muzan is staring at a table laden with a Go board, the black and white stones trembling against the wood from vibration.
Throughout the years, Upper Rank One has learned many a thing, not least when the mood is foul, and now is one of those times. “I will continue my search in the territories to the South.”
“Searching, searching, searching…” The Go stones tremble again. “Always searching with no result… damn this world.” Muzan speaks in his mind as he usually does, and Upper Rank One always welcomes him. Their history together is built on aligned interests.
“You know, you’ve always had my trust,” his maker goes on, “more than anyone.”
“Yes. I know.”
Muzan picks up a black Go stone, staring ponderously at it. “And yet, recently, when I sought for you, you were not there. It was as though… you were blocking me. Perhaps you of all people have been... distracted lately?”
“Distracted?” What is this, now? The most he’s done was to… Your taste still lingers on his tongue, he realizes: sweet and coppery, the flavor faded but the effect still strong. But surely that is not even worth counting as something to impede him. “I have nothing to hide.”
“Be that as it may, Upper Rank One. I need your continued aid, just as you needed mine many, many years ago.” Muzan places the Go stone down on the board.
Kokushibo breathes once—and his master is there within reach, so close he can smell the heavy incense of black lotus on his current disguise.
“Do you remember?” The voice is soft, nearly seductive. A hand is placed on his shoulder.
There is a sudden, swift graze along his throat, no more than the touch of a rose thorn.
He fails to understand, his hand shooting to stave the sudden blood spray from a deep wound. None is faster or stronger among demons than he; none but the one who now stands close behind him.
Muzan rounds him. Long, pale fingers take him gently by the chin, raising his blurring sight to eyes of a hematic luminescence. The slit pupils regard him coolly, burrowing into his own as the ruby flow seeps and stains his kimono a darker pattern. “Who helped you? Who mended you when you nearly lost your head to your brother that blood moon night?”
The gash burns his flesh, and though he keeps regenerating, it will not close; crimson drips like a shallow spring down his chest; he wavers in his stance. “You did…”
“That’s right. I did,” Muzan says aloud. “And do you know why? Because you, are my most valuable ally.”
His master releases him and the demon falls to his knees, both hands at his throat, attempting to seal the wound—but his flesh will not listen to him, and will not heal. Not when someone stronger than him has dealt the blow. He lowers his head, struggling with his breaths like a drowning man.
“Whatever it is that keeps you from your duties... Get rid of it. Do you understand?”
Upper Rank One nods once, gasping and choking, a hand pressed to the floor, the other to his throat. He does not even notice when his master is gone. He focuses all his abilities on regeneration, performs it over and over. The blood continues to pour.

⚠️ Contains minor Beastars character spoilers if you never read the manga!! ⚠️
Tumblr media
🍓's been busy adapting to her new work and school routine so she hasn't been posting (sorry!) but she got back into Beastars recently!
🍓 read the series back when it first came out and kept up weekly then stopped. She doesn't remember exactly which chapter she stopped , she knows it was after meeting the hybrid Melon (if she remembers his name correctly) , so she's re-reading and re-watching the series!
But her favourite characters are Legoshi and Kai. Legoshi is very cute and overall appeals to her with his behaviour but Kai is a different , specific reason.
🍓 started liking Kai because he's voiced by Okamoto Nobuhiko (who if you don't recognise , voices Bakugo Katsuki from Boku no Hero Academia , Nishinoya Yū from Haikyū!! , Shinazugawa Genya from Kimetsu no Yaiba amongst other roles). She enjoys all of his roles and likes him a lot!
Of course , 🍓 grew to love Kai as a character. He's the kusogaki-kun/kamatte-kun type and she thinks they're a very endearing sub type. 🍓 kinda wants to watch the series in both sub and dub 🤔
Unrelated note to this post , 🍓 wants to start streaming and would like to know if you guys would be interested in watching her? It'll be under a different alias but it's still her!

SHIVER
SHIVER
by Misil12
Recently the werewolves have had a bit of a problem with the human race. Tanjiro also has to spend time guarding the forest border which is the main entrance to his people. Yes, his lover, Kamado Tanjiro, is a werewolf. It’s a fact. And the second fact, Zenitsu really love him. It doesn't even matter who he is, or what creature he is. Only that.
"I have to go. Next time, I'll tell you everything." Tanjiro said quickly.
He then got up in a huff. The man was ready to leave when Zenitsu took his hand and kissed the red lips slowly.
"Take care of yourself, my wolf."

Don't read this if you don't want Kimetsu no Yaiba manga spoilers.
It's about the recent chapters.
So I saw the wake me up inside spongebob meme and then I thought about the recent KNY chapters. So while I'm feeling tired and drained, this happened. I doodled a picturesque stick figure Yoriichi battling his brother Michikatsu in the flashback from Kokushibo in the recent arc.
And then I thought about my doubts and fears for the final arc. It's all happening way too fast, I really thought it would take more time to reach the final arc until now. I just want to go back in time and read the manga slower.
I'll be pretending that I never caught up and I'm still new to the series. So while in a mess of depression, anxiety and drowsiness I somehow made another meme despite my horrible mood.
Don't take this seriously, I don't even make sense right now.
It all started with lazers near spongebob's eyes. I was just trying to draw him with lazers coming out of his eyes but then my sister thought they were flying into his eyes.
And then after that it was history. I scrawled nonsense and included a stick figure Yoriichi.
I then sent it to my other sibling and well their interpretation was something I didn't fathom. It's in that text screenshot.
The funniest thing is since she's not caught up she thought that it was older Tanjiro and Inosuke for whatever reason (it actually could work though). Legit had me dying over her interpretation. It was so off from what I intended. Then she guessed Muzan and Yoriichi.
It was supposed to be Yoriichi using fire love breath powers to cleanse Kokushibo's feral loyalty to Muzan and his malicious behavior. I guess Yoriichi ghosted in as a ghost.
What have I done...🤦🏽‍♀️

you and giyuu were out in the park, basking in the comforting afternoon sunlight. after walking around hand-in-hand, he chose a spot under a tree, where he could read his book without squinting too much from the sun.
“ah, you really like that book, don’t you?” you lifted your feet up to sit cross-legged on the bench.
he hummed, “i intend on finishing it soon. i heard that the second book is just as amazing.”
giyuu had always been an intense reader. he couldn’t read in a noisy environment, it would only distract him from the ascending climax and thrilling plot; which explained why he liked to bring his favourite book whenever you two went out on a date. since both of you enjoyed hanging out in cafe’s, parks and sometimes in each others apartments.
you never scolded him for reading while you went out with him, it was something he enjoyed! why stop him?
after a few minutes, giyuu lifted his gaze from the book in his hands. something felt weird. he wondered why it was so quiet—too quiet for his liking. it was strange and unfamiliar to his ears. sure, he heard the birds chirping and the sweet giggles of children but he hadn’t heard anything from his lover who sat next to him. he turned to you and saw you cuddling yourself, knees to your chest and eyes closed.
did you feel sick? were you bored? tired, even? these were the questions that circled giyuu’s mind. he couldn’t let his lover suffer next to him while his nose was shoved into a book.
“y/n?”
“mm?” your eyes were still closed, he frowned.
“are you tired?”
you noticed the short falter in his voice and shot your eyes open, “no!” you said. “i was just resting. we walked a lot more than usual today.” you put your feet back on the ground.
giyuu closed his book as he tilted his head slightly, “oh? i felt like we walked a reasonable distance-”
everything happened so quickly. you only deadpanned at giyuu and him being the unexpressive person he is, you expected a witty remark but instead you received the unimaginable.
a smile.
your expression progressively expressed even more confusion after that. you blinked twice, still trying to register what you just witnessed.
did the ever-so-stoic, tomioka giyuu just smile???
you must have been seeing things. the expression on giyuu’s face was a rare occurence, it only happened once in a blue moon. even the probabilities of giyuu switching expressions were below 0.1, could you imagine the probabilites of a smile?
clearly, you never expected it. and saying that you were shocked was an understatement. you were aghast, you didn’t even know how to react. your systems were experiencing an ‘error 404’ and it shone on your face evidently.
on the other hand, giyuu grew worried. why did your face show no evidence of a positive emotion? did you dislike the way he smiled? or were you weirded out by him? the insecurities giyuu tried surpressing creeped up his spine. he instantly regretted letting down his guard for that one second.
he quickly spun his head around, facing forward in shame, “i apologise. i thought-”
you cut him off, “did i just enter an alternate universe or did you really just crack a smile for me?”
your lover closed his mouth immediately, returning his gaze onto you. he blinked as the wave of realisation washed over him, you weren’t weirded out! you were simply stunned.
giyuu’s heart warmed, making the corner of his mouth curve with no regrets this time. “perhaps i did. just for you.”
