I really like bts but I can't seem to support them with all of my heart because of their fandom. I mean, as much as I want to ignore their fandom amd focus on bts alome, the fandom is too loud to be ignored.

Most people I know who supports bts doesn't call themselves army. 5 out of 50 army I argue or converse with are respectful and logical, very great to talk to about bts & some topics to argue about. The remaining 45, either hates immediately without understanding the topic or just disregards your opinion in a disrespectful manner. People I know, friends & acquaintances alike, who aren't into kpop asks me what i like about bts when their fans (they don't know the fandom name) are pretty much immature and rude. They also tell me "how can you listen to their music when their fans are too high & mighty? You like hight & mighty groups now?". I proceed to explain then that bts aren't like that and that bts isn't accountable for the behavior and attitude of their fans.

It's only our few perspectives but really, sns and other platforms, the fandom is toxic and too obsessed, just one step removed from reality.

Sometimes, when I listen to bts' speech about their fandom, it makes me question them "do you really know the reality of your fandom? And if you're aware of the toxic things they do out of their presumed love and support to bring you to much greater heights?"

I like bts as people and as singers. I like their songs and I would defend them if I find people unjustly throw hate. However, from time to time, I feel bad for them. A lot of people are using them, their music whether for business agendas, political ones or purely selfish ones.

I, as someone who likes them, it would be pretty much alright for me if their popularity dwindles as long as I see them content & satisfied with every bit of their lives, either in making music & performing or just living their lives quietly.
