More king sabo au :) thinking about the changes to the sabo koala relationship…

So plot-wise, this is after the second reverie that Sabo ever attends, at the age of 22. This is also the reverie where a lot of shit goes down— the five elders kill king cobra, Vivi and Wapol go into hiding with Morgans, and the Revolutionary Army invades and successfully declares war on the Celestial Dragons, and retrieves Kuma.

In this AU, Sabo manages to befriend Vivi by talking about Luffy, and finds a way to hide and watch the confrontation between Cobra and the five elders + Imu, the way that Wapol did. But perhaps not quite as thoroughly, so he’s seen, and forced to hide, and cannot return to Goa. Unfortunately Cobra is not saved, as Sabo isn’t strong enough without his years of training as a Rev to even attempt to save Cobra. But Sabo manages to hitch a ride to Kamabakka with the Revs, most likely as a stowaway, and reveals to them as soon as they land about what he saw. Dragon agrees that it’s unsafe for him to return to Goa, and lets him stay with the Revs for the time being as he figures out what to do next.

Now during this time, Koala, soon to be promoted to Chief of Staff, meets him. But she is also incredibly angry at him, and takes it out through “friendly spars” that Sabo agrees to because he wants to get stronger. It’s through these spars that he eventually returns to being able to wield a pipe with proficiency, but the first few really are just him getting absolutely destroyed by Koala.

This all comes to a head at some point when Sabo asks why Koala always beats him down so thoroughly— so angrily— when they spar, and they end up getting into an argument over ideology during a spar. Koala asks, what reason does she have to not be angry at him? He, who became king to a country under some misguided notion that he could help people, who has been king for 5 years and yet has not been able to make any substantial changes to Goa that would help the people. What has Sabo achieved, beyond becoming one of the people that the Revolution seeks to overthrow? Did he have slaves at the castle? Did he ever try to free them?

The problem is that Sabo could have become a Revolutionary much much sooner. He could have asked, and the Revolutionary Army would have sent a small team or something to extract him—he was a strong child and he is still pretty strong, and his heart’s in the right place. But at some point Sabo fell into so many logical fallacies, that he was weak, that he was trapped, that even if he ran he would never escape his noble upbringing, that eventually he believed that the only way he could be useful was as an informant, and in the meantime, clung to and maybe even enjoyed the luxuries he could have as a young noble in Goa.

This verbal (and physical) beatdown from Koala is what eventually gets him to ask Dragon if he can become a Revolutionary. Dragon says that the Revolution has always had its arms open for him.

Assorted One Piece Modern AU HCs

The Whitebeard Pirates are all part of a shelter/relief/mutual aid network for drug users, unhoused people, and vulnerable youth. Ace looks up to them all immensely and volunteers part time, but he's still very much on a journey of self discovery and healing

Ace is a massive music nerd and hobbyist with a near encyclopedic knowledge of genre histories and subcultural spaces. He goes to a lot of local acts his friends are involved in, plays the drums and bass and hangs out at Brook's recording studio/jams with him from time to time while he's in town (Brook loves Luffy and his family, and he's just happy to entertain young people who make or love music and let them use the space). He's undecided in his major but kinda leaning toward sociology or social work.

(Rayleigh is his prof, and unbeknownst to him, a college buddy/old flame of his bio parents who recognized him immediately and has no clue what to do with himself.)

Sabo is, of course, a socialist student organizer in a poli-sci/law program and interning at Dragon's practice (grassroots activist turned civil rights lawyer). The ASL brothers live together in a shitty apartment with barely any heat. He's secretly a massive film snob and organizes Radical Documentary Screenings with Koala from time to time.

Dadan has a cabin like 2 hours outside the city in the mountains and the brothers crash there every now and then over the holidays. She's retired now and constantly gripes about having to feed and shelter her stupid kids every time they come home but she still gets teary whenever she watches them go. Their childhood bedroom and three bunk beds are perfectly preserved and cleaned, and she wouldn't ever dream of moving Ace's posters or Sabo's old bookshelf and criterion DVDs or Luffy's plushies and taxidermied insects.

Brook's band is a genre-blending indie darling that occasionally tours the country. I'm definitely not the first one to think of this, but Laboon is a Newfoundland with severe separation anxiety and Brook has to bring him on tour or to half of the group outings. The Rumbar Pirates are a local jazz act he performs with from time to time, and he may or may not have dated Calico Yorki.

Usopp (fresh out of high school) only recently reconnected with his father and they've been having awkward family dinners with Kaya but it's getting less weird having Yasopp around. He babysits the Usopp Pirates part time and they love him to pieces; he's low-key interested in studying Botany and horticulture and has been checking out local degrees and training programs.

Franky's in the middle of an auto mechanic apprenticeship and is debating trying to get into a mech eng program at Robin's university; he was raised by Tom as a carpenter, and has worked as one for a really long time, but he's increasingly getting into engines and inventing things and the family's very supportive. Robin's a Masters student doing an hourly TA thing in Clover's class on Archaeology of the Void Century, and they're married.

Sanji, naturally, works at the Baratie and Zeff lets him brainstorm and test daily specials or set menus for holidays. He and Pudding are in the same patissier courses at culinary school (she's obviously a baking major); they're exes who've stayed friends and care deeply for each other. The ASL brothers sometimes pick up shifts at the Baratie (with the exception of Luffy who broke way too many dishes)–Zeff really likes all of Sanji's friends and dumps leftovers on them

Bar au.

For all intensive purposes Coby and Luffy aren't actually together, but like as far as Luffy is concerned they are.

One of the only times Luffy was ever actually serious was when some guy was being creepy towards Coby.

Jinbei is a 7ft (~2.31 meter) tall guy with multiple tattoos. Most people who aren't dicks know that he's a perfectly pleasant person but he definitely scares people.

Brook is also stupidly tall but no one's even seen him without the cartoon skull mask and he looks like a strong gust of wind would blow him away.

Ace and Sabo work at a tattoo parlor not too far from the bar in Grill, both shops are in downtown.

Luffy, Zoro, and Franky met at a mechanic shop where they all worked. The owner of the shop still eats at the bar and grill, his name is Mike.

Jessie is Mike's kid.

One Piece x Daemon AU

Straw Hat Pirates' Daemons

Luffy - Peregrine Falcon (separated by DF): Settling abnormally young—at only 7 years old when Shanks gave him his hat—Luffy’s daemon is associated with freedom, intuition, and bravery. The fastest bird in the world, these falcons are also associated with a number of gods, including the sun god Ra and the sky god Horus, and are sometimes considered king of the birds. Luffy’s daemon shape was heavily influenced by his Devil Fruit and the strength of his personal goals/dreams, since his own personality is already very open, honest, and straightforward (thus, he already bares his soul to the world, even without a daemon). The small size of his daemon also often leads others to underestimate him.

Zoro - Wolf-Dog: Is anyone surprised? Zoro’s daemon reveals his nature as a mix of wild animal and loyal pet. While dog daemons are associated with servitude, wolf daemons are neither docile nor friendly (to most strangers, at least). I found this mix of loyalty, wildness, ferocity, and an orientation towards pack/protection to be a good fit for Zoro. (Especially cause everyone calls him Luffy’s loyal attack dog anyway😛). (During the time skip, Zoro separated with his daemon under Mihawk’s instruction.)

Nami - Red Fox: Foxes have it all—associated with tricksters and hoarders, cuteness and sexiness, aggression and playfulness, Nami’s daemon works well with here, both when they’re trying to survive under Arlong and as Luffy’s navigator. While sometimes associated with thieves, foxes are also known as spirits who help those in need (and punish those who are arrogant). The fox is also sometimes depicted as a guide between worlds, perfect for a navigator.

Usopp - Great Horned Owl: Usopp is the only crew member whose daemon isn’t settled before joining. His daemon settles after Ennie’s Lobby, but prior to that, she often took the form of a cape hare. Associated with wisdom, intuition, self-actualization, and victory in battle, I chose an owl for Usopp in part b/c I wanted to relate and contrast him with Luffy (both birds of prey). I also chose an owl b/c of they’re “silent killers”—appropriate for a sniper! (During the time skip, Usopp would train to separate with his daemon, but ultimately only stretched their bond, unable to fully separate.)

Sanji - Slender Mongoose: This daemon is associated with boldness, rebellion, and resourcefulness, and they’re known for taking on predators that are much bigger and badder than them (look up the mongoose vs lion confrontation!). Mongoose are also considered a protector of gods, and can be very cooperative and family-oriented. I chose a mongoose in-part because of their unassuming, rodent-like appearance (and also for the mental image of Sanji cooking with his cute mongoose daemon hanging around his neck).

Chopper - Anna's Hummingbird (separated by DF): One of the only hummingbird species that sticks around during winter, this daemon is associated with luck, healing, life, and tenacity. Chopper’s daemon appeared after he ate his Devil Fruit (and gained a human soul), and settled after Hiriluk’s death. In part, I chose this hummingbird for its pink head and b/c it’d be really cute perched on Chopper’s antler.

Robin - Spotted Hyena (separated by DF): While they’re associated with evil, impurity, and stupidity, the hyena is actually an intelligent, nurturing, and courageous animal. Settling young, only a short year after her escape from Ohara, Robin’s daemon is a reflection of both who she is and who people believe her to be. Her daemon’s form was also taken for protection—for much of her life, Robin needed a daemon who could fight back when their backs were to a wall. Luckily, once she joins the Straw Hats, she and her daemon finally find the family group they’ve been looking for, where their kindness can flourish.

Franky - Painted Dog: Franky is by no means the type to have a domesticated dog daemon, but as someone who is family-oriented, friendly, and playful (and tough as hell), a wild painted dog is a good fit. After being hit by the sea train, Franky’s daemon ended up heavily scarred, giving her a fierce look.

Brook - White Satin Moth (separated by DF): With delicate, all-white wings, these moths are often seen as symbols of loved ones visiting from the afterlife. Prior to their death, though, Brook’s daemon was a mourning dove, chosen both for the symbolism of death/mourning and because they have my favorite bird call. Imagine the duets when they were alive…

Bonus (under Read more): Ace, Sabo, Shanks, & Law! Plus, some world-building thoughts:

Ace - Lion (separated by DF): While a large, threatening predator, lions are also one of the few big cats that typically live in family groups. Ace’s daemon took this form both as a form of defense, as well as misdirection—they deeply crave family, connection, and acceptance, but can be held back by their own anger and distrust. Lions are associated with royalty, but are not associated with pirates the way bird daemons are.

Sabo - Caracal: Associated with being protectors of gods, I mostly chose a caracal for their unique jumping (reminded me of Sabo’s fighting style) and the cute ears. Both he and Ace have individualistic/loner personalities that lend them towards cat daemons, but unlike Ace, Sabo is less concerned with a family connection. Caracals are associated with both hunting and protection. (Also, I can definitely see Sabo’s daemon playing with Luffy’s by jumping to catch them^^)

Shanks - Raven (separated): One of the smartest birds around, ravens are often known as harbingers of death and doom. They are also known to communicate with other ravens about who friends and foes are, and will be friendly or hostile accordingly. Shanks and his daemon separated the traditional way, by purposeful stretching of the bond until it broke.

Law - Black-footed Cat (separated by DF): I know, I know, everyone gives him a snow leopard, which I respect, but!! This cat is the deadliest wild cat in the world with the highest kill count. Deceptively small and cute, they are known for their tenacity, bravery, and ferocity. For Law, I wanted to highlight his upbringing as the child of 2 doctors & his connection to Cora—he had a normal childhood, before everything fell apart, but his experiences surviving in Flevance and with Cora led him to a smaller, quieter daemon that wouldn’t draw attention. Also, while fierce and dangerous, Law can still be quite cute, imo🥰. And with such a small/non-threatening looking daemon, Law would tend towards hiding them, making himself appear more threatening (as people are naturally off-put by a lack of daemon).

World-building:

When a person eats a Devil Fruit, the power also applies to their daemon. (Ex: When Bon Clay mimics someone's face, his daemon can also mimic their daemon.)

When a person eats a Devil Fruit, they and their daemon are separated. Unlike the traditional and artificial methods of stretching and separating from one’s daemon, Devil Fruit separation is largely painless.

Daemons can use haki, but it is very difficult, requiring training.

It's highly stigmatized in most of the world for daemons of strangers to touch, including in fights. Pirates' daemons, however, are often seen fighting each other. However, even among pirates, it's taboo to touch another's daemon without permission.

Bird daemons are stigmatized due to their association with piracy during the pirate era (Gol Roger's daemon was a golden eagle). (Each of the Straw Hats who have/had bird daemons do so because their dreams involve being a pirate specifically.)

All races in OP have externalized souls (ex: Minks have visible auras that can interact with each other. Fishmen/merpeople have sentient water—think Moana—that follows them or is kept in special jewelry.)

made this AU a while ago of Sabo taking over Goa and im coming back today, because I realised that if Sabo is the king of Goa, he’s technically one of the people lined up to go to Reverie. if they didn’t invite him, it would be a snub against all of Goa, and it would also imply that the WG no longer recognizes Goa as a proper kingdom, which y’know, has implications. nobody wants to deal with implications.

so, Sabo’s invited to Reverie (and keep in mind, as far as the Celestials and the government know, he’s just some bat-crazy noble who overthrew the royals because he didn’t like them — they know nothing of his connection to the Revs). what Sabo knows that nobody else does, however, is that by extension, his family members are now also royalty and he’s well within his rights to bring them with him to the Reverie.

and you know what that means? Ace and Luffy get to go to the Royalty Party and raise a ruckus!

·Hestia never knew she'd fall in love with a man so hell-bent on setting the world free, but here she was, carrying said man's child. She wasn't a Virgin Goddess anymore

·The fact that Zeus hadn't realized was shocking, like wtf?

·The baby... Had inherited a lot of her features She feels something stir in her, was this what mortals called anxiety?

·She watched her son, Luffy, grow up from a far. Making sure she knows she was there but never really showing up, Makino; bless this woman- ah wait, she already did. Anyway, bless this woman again for taking care of her sweet angel.

·Luffy was 17 now, and Hestia is glad she has kept her son's whole existence a secret all this time wait... Ace was Ares' son? His name was Roger here? Ah shi-

·Everything goes the same, but when Ace steps infront of Akainu's attack. That was the mist doing it's work, Roger/Aries knocks Akainu out with Conqueror's haki in his 'human form'

·Ace's first instinct wasn't to punch Roger but to get Luffy tf away from him, Roger is supposed to be dead right? Roger isn't here, right? Roger didn't just appear out of no where and protected him and Luffy, right?

·Ares did, and he couldn't decide whether to sweat drop or laugh at Ace's antics. Luffy was passed out, the adrenaline gone and fatigue catching up to him.

"Let's take you two to Camp Half-blood."

·When they were getting there, Ares literally forced Ace to wear a shirt and some new shorts, they would've gotten Luffy changed but...(they're gentlemen that way)

·Ace kept asking questions about how they got away or what the hell is this camp half-blood anyway, Roger/Ares went over the questions with a lot of patience. Quite ironic for the domains he has.

·Luffy was bundled a blanket, well not really, but he had a haori hanging from his shoulders. It was only used as a blanket though.

·Ares thought about claiming Luffy to cause some drama with Hesita, yes he knows, he's not always hot-headed and brash. He has Athena for a sister for f's sake.

"Luffy looks a lot like his mother, you do know that, right Ace?"

"No, wait... HOW THE HELL DO YOU KNOW?"

"DON'T YELL HADES' DOMAIN!"

·Meanwhile, Hestia could be seen panicking while she tended to the flames of Olympus. Where was her son? Her sweet angel that could make flowers bloom even if he wasn't a son of Demeter, her son that had eaten a devil fruit and was weak to water? Damn you Poseidon and Hades!

·Poseidon and Hades felt a chill go down their spine, once in their life... They had felt fear.

·When they arrive at Camp Half-blood(via stepping out from a bon fire), Ares was swarmed by his children, kid, teen, and adults alike.

"DAD?!" "OLD MAN?!" "That's Dad? I couldn't recognize him..."

Ares laughs whole-heartedly shocking most demigods along with Mr. D. "Now now, children. I was just here to drop off one of your siblings who didn't get a chance to come here at the right time. Ace?"

When the name was spoken, a hot(according to the children if Aphrodite) young man with black hair and narrowed grey eyes and freckles stepped out from the flames, carrying a sick demigod on his back. Some children of Apollo made their way to check up on the unconscious demigod. They stop when 'Ace' catches fire...? No, when his fist becomes a ball of fire.

"Calm down Ace, they're the closest thing you can get for a Doctor around here." The flames die down, a nervous expression taking over the serious one. "Take care of him... Please..." The child of Apollo nodded wordlessly, first time having such dependency placed onto their name was something.

·Rest of the night was spent with Aries officially claiming Ace and the other children of Ares getting to know Ace.

·With the straw hats, they saw what most didn't. They did see Luffy saying to reunite in two years, no longer three days. But something was off with his image... EHEM THE MIST

·Nami was the daughter of Zeus and the sister of Thalia, Zeus thought she died in the crossfire between marines.

·Zoro was the son of the Goddess Nemesis, he likes his Mom just by hearing her name? Punishment to the undeserving? That reminds him of Celestial Dragons...

·Sanji was the son of Aphrodite, his Mom was alive? She didn't die of some surgery? Oh hell yeah, he's on board joining this camp half-blood! Only two years nothing more, nothing less!

·Usopp was the son of Hephaestus, what the... HE'S A DEMIGOD?!

·Chopper was the straw hats guide, he didn't know that himself, but he's trying to get to all of them.

·Robin was the daughter of Athena who's mortal name was Nico Olivia.

·Franky was the sun of Hephaestus, he can't wait to show off his cyborg body to his old man!

·Brook, unexpectedly, was a deceased son of Apollo. The sun god tried his hardest to allow his deceased son to walk around broad day light even if his shadow was taken

·Nami was first to arrive at camp half-blood, Zeus immediately claimed her the first night she spent there. The Hermes children were sad since they had fun playing chess and learning about the whether with Nami.

·Poseidon was snickering because his brother named her daughter 'Nami' which meant Wave in a certain language

·Second was Zoro, there wasn't a cabin for Nemesis yet and he saw Percy Jackson as a good sparring partner

·Third was Sanji who was brought over by Aphrodite herself, some boys turned to see the Love goddess but looked away when Sanji glared at them.

·Fourth people to come were Usopp and Chopper, like the reindeer he was, Chopper guided Demigod Usopp to camp-half blood.

·The last three came together, the children of Apollo were gushing over their 'cool older brother', Brook was lying if he said he didn't blush out of embarrassment. Even though he didn't have blood to rush to his cheeks anymore, Yohohoho!

·Robin giggled slightly at the antics of the son of Apollo, the Hephaestus kids had stars in their eyes as they realize one of their siblings was a GENUINE CYBORG!!

·Annabeth was the one to greet Robin as her sister, The Archeologist didn't know what it was like being an elder sister but she will try because that is what her captain would want. Speaking of her captain-

·He was in a coma. Although it was determined he would wake up eventually, a worried Ace sitting beside the bed wasn't a good thing.

One Piece Fairy AU 🧚‍♂️✨

Boys Will Be Bugs

This AU may or may not have been inspired by that ask i got the other day. It may or may not be. I will neither confirm nor deny.

Please dont comment or send asks or anything like that of what bugs other characters should be :) if i would like to crowd source, i will make a post about it! Thank you~

Here are the flat colors since some of the hues get drowned out in the lighting :)

- I tried to make them have all use different fabrics, leaves, lizard skin, furs. I dont know how to draw lizard skin but I did my best.

- It would be really cool if blue morpho butterflies were nocturnal, that way the lighting i put sabo in would make a little more sense. He was about to be a moth, but i thought the lore of him coming from nobility and butterflies typically being of nobility would be a cool detail.

Maybe he’s a butterfly that adapted to being nocturnal in spite… yeah….

- im glad i came up with the glowing freckles idea for ace. I dont think anyone could handle it if his ass glowed.

- i put luffy in darker colors and now he looks white 😭😭😭😭 when he’s next to sabo he’s a melanated king though. I also deepened ace’s skin tone so that the bright oranges stood out more. I think it looks just so good

- I dont actually have an idea of what a plot would look like in this au yet. I tried to make it ambiguous with not having ace and sabo interacting as adults. With a couple of my other au’s, i just had the plot mirror the canon one, but idk with this one 🤷‍♀️ i mean i can, but i like having ace not be dead 🤷‍♀️ ya know??🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️

This was a fun little moment though, i hope yall enjoy :)

Thinking very hard about an AU idea of mine. Reluctant king Sabo AU!

In which Sabo isn’t saved by Dragon, but survives long enough to drift ashore and be saved by the doctors of Goa Kingdom, who do so only to ransom his medical bills from Sabo’s parents. Sabo’s parents take him back, thinking that his amnesia makes him a clean slate, but Sabo, young and stubborn and unsure of his entire identity, knows that everything is wrong and runs again, and again, and again.

Until at some point, he meets the Revolutionaries, and realizes that he can be useful to them, provide them information, make something good of an inescapable situation. From then on, he starts acting the noble that he was born as, in order to be a more useful informant to the Revolutionaries, until sunk cost fallacy hits and he believes that being a noble is the only way that he can be useful to the Revolutionaries. So at that point, why not take it all the way?

At 17, Sabo becomes one of Princess Sarie’s suitors, and at 17, he has doubts about using the princess for his own goals. Sarie is a romantic, and she wants a dramatic fairy tale of a romance, and she was already charmed, but the moment Sabo opens up to her about not wanting to use her to get to the throne, having lofty ambitions of helping the people (just not the people she thinks he’s talking about), Sabo becomes the one she simply must marry, because surely if she tries hard enough, she can make him love her back.

Soon after, the king and his son die. Sarie’s father and brother die. And while Sabo conveniently ascends to the throne, he also swiftly implicates his father, Outlook, in the assassination of all heirs to the throne, resulting in Outlook’s arrest and subsequent execution. And thus, at 18, Sabo becomes king, and begins to gradually institute great changes to Goa Kingdom.

Design-wise, Sabo wears an eyepatch because his damaged eye is considered a grotesque sight by nobles’ standards. Under the eyepatch, he wears heavy makeup to hide the burn scar. These are both at the behest of his birth parents, who spin a story about Sabo having been born half blind to hide the fact that Sabo had been shot by a Celestial Dragon and save face. To those who have seen his scar, they fabricate a second secret story that he was unfortunately kidnapped as a child. Sabo never does find out, until he regains his memories, where the burn scar is actually from.

I ended up publishing this post a little earlier than I planned. Unfortunately, I didn't finish the next part of the Reincarnated Luffy Au, so I decided to post the design for some of the Princess Luffy AU characters.

Garp - King

Ace - the oldest prince

Sabo - the second prince

Luffy - the youngest princess

Zoro - Mercenary

Usopp - Bard (more like inventor)

Nami - Thief

Chopper- apprentice to the herbalist

Robin - declared a witch ( an educated woman trying to learn about the history of the land)

Sanji - Cook

More for the au!

The basics, Gods, Demigods, Devil Fruits, all exist.

World Gov + Marines try and keep the whole concept of gods and demigods under wraps. Because I'm working with "D's" carry divinity. And having a good chunk of them outright despise the government isn't a great look.

Luffy is a god while Garp and Dragon are demigods. Luffy can shift between physical and 'divine' form whereas demigods don't have that ability.

Luffy is the successor/inheritor of his predecessor's will and own divinity. But not through reincarnation necessarily. One in the same but they are very much so different. His devil fruit and promise to Shanks cemented his place as the successor to the sun and freedom. When gods and demigods start out, there isn't a wholly set future for what will they will have, or the ideals they will embody. Luffy has always had his cloudy/intangible form.

Imagine Garp's surprise when his grandson, who was supposed to join him in the marines, is set to embody freedom and the sun. He was pissed for a solid week about that. Garp also had to deal with questioning where Dragon had even gotten Luffy from, he still doesn't know.

Ace and Sabo were very adamant that Luffy not show off his divine form to everyone, especially if he wanted to become a pirate. He can't be a pirate if the government tracks him down and hides him away at the ripe age of like, 8. Also because having a full god is pretty uncommon, Sabo has heard horror story after horror story of what nobles and those in higher society would do to a god. Sabo is the most vocal about Luffy being careful about that.

Luffy meets Koby, and does an absolutely terrible job at keeping his form hidden. It's harder to control which form he's in when he's excited. Koby was a human with no divinity and big dreams that Luffy adored. So, already excited with a new friend, and the two on their way to Shells town, Luffy sneezed and immediately sold himself out. Koby is a terrible liar and so just elects to never speak on this topic ever. If anyone asks why he has so much knowledge on gods, specifically sun gods, he just doesn't answer. Helmeppo thinks it's funny and immediately pieced together why, because Koby cannot keep anything from him. And Garp has to respect how hard that kid is trying to not completely sell out his grandson, even if the brat kind of deserves it for being a pirate.

Luffy is going to be the Pirate King, divine or not. His crew quickly find out about his side quirk/form in varying ways. Zoro woke up one day with a cloudy demon from hell cutting off his airways. Nami was trying to explain clouds to Luffy and that 'no, they cannot just spawn on your person, that's stupid,' and so Luffy shows her that he is in fact, correct.

Usopp got jumpscared early in the morning, before the sun had risen, when Luffy just appeared behind him and asked if he wanted to watch the sunrise. Sanji was cooking dinner and Luffy got so excited he phased out of his physical body.

Chopper found out while asking Luffy if he had any medical conditions he should know about, he thought it was kinda cool that Luffy can change forms. And is only a little jealous that Luffy has a fully human form. Luffy always makes sure to tell Chopper he's exactly who he needs to be.

Robin found out after talking about 'Nika,' who is thought to be long dead, but is not. And is the captain of the crew she is now apart of. Luffy knows the name is important and it has a certain weight when it's said. He physically feels when someone says his name around him. Robin thinks this is very fascinating. (Also can add some context into poneglyphs, that there is a lot to it, even if Robin doesn't yet know and Luffy wasn't alive/doesn't have that knowledge)

Franky was showing off cool shit he could do with his robotic body, and Luffy was like 'me too!!!'

Brook found out when Luffy fell asleep listening to him play a song, and Luffy slipped back into his resting form of cloudiness.

While both forms have their uses and limitations, Luffy is most comfortable in his intangible form, even if his physical one is the default. He cannot access his divine form after a certain point of exhaustion hits.

Im going to end that there before I have an entire novel in this. But that's the general thought throw up I'm smacking down right now.

Sorry if this is incoherent and not easy to understand lol. I will flesh it out more later and when I have actually thought more about it. Might change things later too. Then I'll probably make a good post about it with actual wellish made context and lore.

So hybrid AU’s kinda popping off-👀

Already working on a Zoro and Sanji one

Here’s the main guys animals if you’re curious

Luffy- Dog hybrid: Greyhound Mutt. I feel like Luffy would be a Mutt because of just how different he is and how his family is mainly a mystery. I added a Greyhound element because of how much energy they have and how boundless their affection is. Just like Luffy!

Zoro- Tiger hybrid: It’s a no brainer, this man just has big cat energy. Naps all day, while being the fierce king of the jungle. His intimation goes hand and hand with them, they only attack when provoked or threaten. Translate that to Zoro and he’s the same intimating, big softy once you get to know him. Just now he has tiger ears and a tail.

Sanji- Goat hybrid: So Sanji was kinda hard to figure out- at first I was going to make him a secretary bird since they’re known for their powerful kicks and they have that elegance and class. A kangaroo also came to mind since their kicks are strong as well but- I then realized everyone basically sees him as a goat so I went with that instead! It oddly fits him, only thing is that goats rather head butt than kick but ehh. I think Sanji with horns and a little goat tail is the cutest thing ever so we’re rolling with it.

Ace- Dog hybrid: Dalmatian Mutt: Just like Luffy I don’t think many people would think much of him at first glance so I made him a mutt. The Dalmatian side was mainly picked because of the firemen thing and Ace’s power and the spot pattern being adorable! I feel like some of his other mutt genes would be wolf, and Rottweiler. Making him strong, fearless and a good leader.

Sabo- Dog hybrid: Golden Retriever: The classic good boy. Come on what else could Sabo be. It’s another no brainer, they’re very obedient and affectionate just like Sabo. The man was made with Golden Retriever energy. Just hearing his name makes his tail wag in happiness. Need I say more?

Law- Snow leopard hybrid: Law is another person who gives off big cat energy. And I made him a snow leopard mostly because of his spot like clothing choices and fits. But I can also see Law as a person who loves the cold and the snow. He has a freaking polar bear how could he not love the snow? Snow leopards are very calm and timid just like Law from a far but if you get in his way he’ll fuck you up. Plus giant cat ears and a large fluffy tail on law? Oh god I’m melting.

Kid- Honey Badger hybrid: Okay so hear me out. I was thinking about Kid and got stuck- like for the most part I find him annoying? But in a good way- I was going to make him a patriot but then I was like what is the most annoying animal that doesn’t give a fuck and I came up with a Honey Badger. They generally don’t care about other predators size or number and will jump into battle at any time anywhere. They’re really reckless and very strong so I thought it was perfect for an idiot like Kid <3

because a stronger buggy who watched these kids grow up, already has lost sabo and wasn't able to protect luffy. has shared his pain of abandonment with ace - who has told ace he is so happy that ace was born, has sworn to love ace as much as roger couldn't and rogue wasn't able to...

that buggy would put himself between an admiral and his nephew.

and that buggy would get in a lot of trouble.

after the peace forced by shanks' arrival settles, he sneaks off with crocodile who thinks having the marine who betrayed his own banner on a livestream (that was originally set up so beloved captain firebug would be announcing the execution of the scourge fire first, but oh did that backfire.) would be neat.

he will go to whitebeard's burial, he will thank the man for loving ace and showing him a world of family, and he will finally face shanks. remembering how he once was happy on the Oro Jackson. how they were his family and where he met his first and only love, and inform him that he going to find the one piece and become king of the pirates because that's his dream now.

& shanks falls in love even more.

+ this is how, instead of recruiting a large amount of impel down prisoners, buggy recruits the remnants of the whitebeard pirates. he is all their uncle now (and ace gets to cock block croc and mihawk because DO NOT LOOK AT HIS UNCLE??? YOU FREAKS???)

bonus: buggy and ace fighting over the receiver calling rosi (who survived because I said so) after the dust settles on a private line like "YOUR SON?? IS CREEPY AF?? HE BETTER BE HEALING MY PRECIOUS LITTLE BRAT LUFFY AND NOT SELLING HIS ORGANS!!!"

My villain academia au, everyone's quirks.

If they're a devil fruit user they just keep that and don't lose their ability to swim.

Luffy- two quirks, one that turns him into rubber and another that lets him warp reality

Zoro- when using a sword of any kind, right off the bat he knows how to use it well enough.

Nami- lightning

Usopp- he can sense strong willed people

Sanji- fire

Chopper- riendeer with a human quirk

Nico robin- growing limbs

Franky- he's quirkless but uses tech

Brook- after death revival

Jimbe- fishman quirk

Ace- fire

Sabo- stronger fire

Dragon- weather control

Garp- super strength

Roger- the stronger the opponent that stronger he is

Rayleigh- the more angry he is the stronger he gets

Coby- stone, the stronger he is emotionally the stronger the stone

Helmeppo- he can summon hell hounds
