What did Yuna name Kraw?

I was keeping it all hush for a while but I honestly don’t know why anymore pfft

Kraw’s birthname is Soliah (Soul-eye-uh) which I kind of mashed together myself but it means “Lonely Moon”. Yuna would also call him ‘Kuu Soliah’ which was ‘my lonely moon’ which I kind of based off the Hawaiian word ‘ku’u’.

I am by no means a linguist and I don’t feel like I have the spoons to come up with an entire Primordial Beast language like ol’ Tolkien or whatever, but for now I like to think it’s derived from Yuna having her own words for things, taken from old languages and all that.

Anyway Kraw’s own birth name becomes part of his early memories that he buries pretty deep. Until the day comes where he’ll hear it again.

He ends up getting his new name from Lady :)

Starter : The Atlantic ghost crab, Ocypode quadrata, is a species of ghost crab. It is a common species along the Atlantic coast of the United States, where it is the only species of ghost crab.

Some fun facts about this good spooky fella!

A 2023 study using the well known mirror test found that these crabs seem to be capable of recognizing themselves in a mirror. They are self-aware.

The atlantic ghost crabs must return to water periodically to moisten their gills, and when larvae must be released into the sea, but they are otherwise terrestrial.

Their stalked compound eyes can swivel to give them 360° vision.

Fun Fact! Ghost crabs are arguably the fastest terrestrial invertebrates, capable of running at more than a meter per second.

The Atlantic ghost crab lives in burrows (like fiddle crabs!) in sand above the strandline.

These burrows can be up to 1.3 m (4'3) deep, and can be closed off with sand during hot periods.

Young crabs are cryptically colored to blend in with their sandy habitats. This way predators are less likely to see them.

Ghostie mate can produce a variety of sounds by striking the ground with the claw, by stridulation with the legs, and an incompletely explained "bubbling sound"

O. quadrata is more active at night than in the day, and is an omnivore, eating clams, mole crabs, insects, plant material, detritus, and even other crabs. They also feed on the eggs and hatchlings of sea turtles.

Ghost crabs are both predators and scavengers, and they feed at night. Their prey can be influenced by the type of beach they live on.

Korean rice dish. Red soup with plenty of chili peppers and various vegetables are mixed with porridged rice. A few pieces of tenderized beef or short ribs are on top and so on. I like this dish because it has a lot of flavor. About $7.

As of May 15th 2023, lightanddarkside has been removed! However I’m keeping this warning up because the scammer always comes back using the same cat image or story.

If you have seen a blazed post from a user called lightanddarkside, it is sadly a scammer! The cats name is not Kuppa and the blog does not belong to the actual person whose name is being copied and impersonated by a well known scammer who steals images and is using a made up story for shares. Someone blazed the post and unfortunately I don’t know how far this post will reach. If you want to help the real cat, please use the link below!

The story they give is entirely fake and made up using another image from a cat that has no visible rash. While I can’t source the image, I will give proof it’s a scammer.

Firstly, the story has been used across multiple accounts already so Kuppa is not the cats name and I already have posts saying one cat wasn’t Kuppa. The story this scammer uses is just made up and entirely false. It never matches their photographs or asks.

Secondly, the account is spamming asks to strangers who share popular posts and their story doesn’t match the ask (which claims a leg mass yet the post says mouth rash)

Lastly, the PayPal address Jamie Johnson is impersonating a real person and if you hover/press and hold the link…

It’s the same PH the scammer is known to use. And this PayPal address is already linked to past accounts that were known scammers just search the name on my blog and you’ll see a few posts.

Also the blog is 2 hours old, reblogged a few posts to look legitimate, and is requesting private answers to share a public post which is another red flag for scams.

If that still isn’t enough, you can check out the links in my pinned post that gives more detail about scams because I don’t have time to explain the same thing over and over again when the info is there.

The Mario brothers were famous inventors and heroes across the mushroom kingdom. But all that changed in one faith-filled night. Mario had accidentally stumbled into the darkest forest of the Koopas' kingdom. That night, Mario was captured by the most evil and strongest koopa of all. Bowser, the king of koopas, announced that their hero Mario had trespassed on their territory and broken the treaty made by the two kingdoms. Luigi, hearing this, was devastated and wanted to save his brother immediately, but in exchange for his life, they would have to sacrifice Princess Peach's hand in marriage.

"Marrying a kuppa is marrying the devil himself," Peach yelled across the room.

The council whispered to themselves in shock to hear the princess great wrath but also not completely taken back by their reaction.

"Then what should we do, your highness?" Luigi said it in a slightly cold and desperate manner.

"If we don't do anything before the last day of the full moon, he will kill my brother." Luigi stated that there was a dreadful situation.

"I have a plan, but I would need you to sacrifice yourself for your brother." Are you ready for that?" Peach softly spoke and looked into Luigi's eyes.

"Whatever it will be, I am ready to save the only person I have left, my brother," Luigi calmly and proudly stated.

Luigi shaved off his mustache and drank the potion. As they traveled from kingdom to kingdom.

"Senior, I mean Lui-."

"There is no need to address me like that anymore, for I am no longer Luigi."

"I see; I apologize."

"Address me now as Peach, the Princess of the Mushroom Kingdom, and the one who will sacrifice herself to save her beloved hero." "Understood... princess"

Please I would love to know more about the Lady of the Shades. She seems delightfully terrifying.

Thanks for asking! I’ve been absolutely dying to share about her ‘officially’ but I feel like i still need to do some tweaks to her design (stupid nit-picky perfectionism) so I’m forcing myself to be patient with it.

She IS terrifying but also the ever endearing ‘Auntie Kuppa’ to Kraw and Titus.

She’s an ‘Oracle’ of sorts that does these special hallucinatory mushrooms grown from the spinal fluid of the fallen celestial body. Only a special few can use this mushrooms for these purposes. Most folks would just have the absolute worst trip of their life and die from taking them. Those will be in post with her as well.

People of the small island near the swamp see her as a sort of patron saint. Leaving gifts by her sacred pools ensures they stay in her good graces. Using the sacred pools as a hand sink is a big no no. The true purpose of the pools is unknown to outsiders.

She mostly resides in the the deepest part of the swamp, in an old abandoned temple with a bunch of her mutated alligator pets and priestesses. Her appearance and powers (rumored and true ones) are overall surrounded by mystery to those that live outside the swamp.

These crabs are known for their signature move of always carrying a small living sea anemone around, which helps them catch food and protect themselves from predators. And thas' where they get them name from!

They arr also called "Hawaiian Boxer Crabs"

They can live up to 6 years in a human-made, low competition environment.

Yes, it do shake them pom poms. If provoked or attacked by a predator, the pom-pom crab will threaten the aggressor by waving it’s anemones around, the tentacles armed with cnidocytes (stinging cells).

The Pom Pom Crab are very popular in nano tanks. But don't be keeping these wild hearties in a small cage! They belong in deep seas, not yer aquarium.

[ Fun Fact! This fellows Hawaiian name is kūmimi pua, meaning “inedible flower crab”. ]

Lybia tessellata is a small crab growing to a width of about 2.5 cm (1 in).

The females are sometimes seen with a large red egg mass on the lower part of the body. The eggs hatch and undergo several stages before settling down on the sea floor.

The chelipeds(entire claw) do not have the broad chelae (claws) typical of decapod crabs. Instead they are slim and each has a fine finger bearing eight or nine spines.

They be professional cleaners too! The sea anemone’s tentacles can be used like mops, gathering debris and food particles from the ground around the crab’s hiding place.

They be omnivores but apparently prefer animal matter to plant matter. The front claws are not used for feeding at all, and the first pair of working legs are used for feeding.

There is a lot of information and imagery in the games that connects Bowser the King of the Koopas to some more hellish imagery. First off his Japanese name is Daimaou Kuppa, which translates to either Great Satan Bowser, Great Demon King Bowser, or Great Demon King Koopa. Which definitely matches up a lot. Side note yes the literal translation of Daimaou isn't always supposed to be literal. There is also the various castles Bowser has built over the years. Many of them have an entrance where you enter through Bowser's mouth, which seems to be similar to a hellmouth. This Castle design shows up in Super Mario 3D Land, Super Paper Mario for the 64, Mario Kart Double Dash and Wii, Paper Mario The Origami King, and even The Super Mario Bros Movie. There is also the fact that World 8 the Koopa Kingdom is often depicted as a hellish landscape, or as the Mario Movie calls it, the Dark Lands.

Whats cosmodex? Saw your art and I want to know more about it

Ooooook so the Cosmosdex is this site ( https://cosmosdex.com ) which as a WHOLE is a "fictional space themed encyclopaedia by the same name that contains pages upon pages of lore, aliens, planets, and just about anything you could ever want to know about this expansive universe." (from the site) and it's true! there's ~300 species alone in the cosmosdex, & they're all completely open. Plus there's like... these things called eyegrets... which are THE best fauna. Btw. look at ONE amazing. one. i could talk about these animals all day i tell you

+ though if you wanna know MORE about the universe itself there's a webcomic on there, Fortuna, which serves as a pretty good introduction to the lore +some good simpler entries: -aftik -arma -kuppas there's also notails but notails have a whole lore section so it can seem a bit overwhelming? they're not THAT complicated though

anyway everything I post about in relation to Cosmosdex is related to my OWN little sub-universe Get To Heaven.
