I imagine that “home” for both of them means, among many other things, learning to feel comfortable in their own skin, being who they are, and, consequently, in each other’s presence. I like to think of Nesta not only allowing herself to love, but mainly allowing herself to receive love from those around her, including Cassian, because she deserves it. And because I’m sure Cassian is obsessed with Nesta’s hair and (I hope) he’s also obsessed with taking care of her, I asked Michelle to do this illustration. This is a little bit different from my usual style, but I’ve been experimenting with a lot of features on Photoshop lately, and the symmetry tool is by far one of my favorites to play with, alongside layer styles! I’ve also seen Aladdin on cinemas and once again fell with love with the story! No wonder I ended up creating this carpet-inspired piece ♥
