K-POOM!
The shot from the flintlock pistol rang out in the darkness and echoed across the beach that marked the Western coast of the Magic Kingdom. Chris looked around, holding his breath, but he couldn’t see anything, blinded by the light of the torch he held in his right hand. The tyrannosaur listened for the sound of anyone stirring, but no one shouted or stirred, no lights came on in the few houses just off the beach.
He couldn’t be too careful. Lieutenant Rennes’ “visit” to Pride Rock could only mean that Frollo was looking for the papers, and he wouldn’t be surprised if he returned to find Jeronimo’s with a busted door and ransacked rooms too. Chris could only thank the saints that he’d been there himself to fight off Rennes until Mufasa could rally the lionesses.
When the mainsail’s set and the anchor’s weighed, Chris sang in his head, There’s no turning back from any course that’s made. There was no room for mistakes, and they only had one shot to pull this off. The Festival of Fools was tomorrow. He had to be back in the French district by daybreak—it was the only window of time to save André. Frollo would be out of the Palace of Justice, his guards would be out guarding the square, and the great bleak castle would be left with only a skeleton crew. Still, it was the Palace of Justice, and they were going toe-to-toe with Frollo himself, and escaping the walls of the prison was arguably more perilous than getting in. These papers would be his and André’s only hope of survival if he pulled off this stunt.
Chris patted his coat, checking to make sure nothing was lost. 1, 2, 3…8 packets of papers. All there. Good. If the secrets buried in these papers ever got out, Frollo would be torn to pieces in hours. Tonight, Chris’s mission was to make sure that those papers could get out, if the worst should happen tomorrow. Chris checked the lock on the gate that barred the entrance to what the locals had started calling Tristan’s Cove. The pistol shot had worked—the padlock hung loose, with a gaping hole where the cogs and machinery had been. He pushed open the gate and thrust his torch inside. There was a long, dark tunnel in the seaside rock that he knew lead to a small, isolated cove, protected from the eyes and ears of overly-curious pedestrians by sharp, jagged bluffs and the loud roar of the surf, with hollows carved by the crashing waves at high tide. Chris checked behind him one last time, hoping that no one was spying on him in the dark, then headed into the tunnel.
When he finally emerged, he found himself on the cove, a moderately-sized little beach exposed by the low tide, covered with great strands of washed-up kelp and surrounded by cliffs. He held the torch up, looking around, and saw what he was looking for—a small sailing canoe, with two shadowy figures inside, with what appeared to be only a small candle for illumination.
The figures stood up and Chris pulled out his reloaded pistol.
“Finger on your pistols?” Chris whispered hoarsely.
“Not a finger,” the voice said. “Just a hook.”
“It wouldn’t be good form,” the other said.
The only other sound was like the tinkling of silver bells, almost drowned out by the surf.
Chris put his pistol away, having received the agreed-upon answers.
“Captain Hook,” he said to his old friend. “Peter Pan.” The small light tinkled loudly.
“No, I didn’t forget you, Tinker Bell,” Chris said to the little pixie.
“Captain Carnovo,” the old pirate and the Lost Boy said, and the friends embraced. Chris and André had gotten their start in film and theatre as fight choreographers for Peter Pan, and Chris considered James Hook to be one of his best students and a close friend—close enough to be entrusted with secrets worth more than a thousand chests of Spanish gold.
“Still doesn’t feel right without André,” Peter said. André had been his personal fencing master, and of the two fencing masters Peter had been closest to André before the Reign of Terror.
“Well, if we all do our parts, we’ll be back together soon enough,” Chris said grimly. “Did you bring what I asked for?”
“It’s in the stern,” Hook said. Chris checked the back of the boat, and sure enough, there was a small treasure-chest.
“Is it waterproof?” Chris asked
“Sealed with tar.”
The tyrannosaur reached into his coat and put his hand into a tear in the lining, and began pulling out the precious packets of papers, wrapped in oilcloth. He stacked them neatly into the chest until it was full, and thankfully there was enough room. Then he pulled a padlock out of his coat pocket and locked the chest.
When he was finished, he climbed into the boat and and fished out two more small oilcloth sacks.
“This map tells you which of the islands in the Pirate Bank Archipelago the treasure will be found,” Chris said, handing one bag to Hook. “The other side tells you where on the island to find the chest,” he said, handing the second bag to Peter. “You must swear never to tell a soul that you have these maps. Now listen carefully,” the tyrannosaur leaned in close, so that everyone’s head was touching. “In the event that I, Mufasa, the Archdeacon, Cinderella, or André should die, no matter what the circumstances, I need you to dig up this treasure chest and give it to Mickey Mouse himself.”
“What exactly is in the chest?” Hook asked.
“Frollo’s death warrant,” Chris said. “Every letter sent between him and Tristan. Every command, every order, will be exposed and the Magic Kingdom will know that Frollo was not some helpless old man at the mercy of a rogue Captain of the Royal Guards.”
“We should be doing more to help you,” Peter Pan said.
“By accepting this and staying out of danger yourselves,” Chris said, pressing Peter’s hands around his map, “you are doing far more for André than I ever will.”
He pushed off from shore, and Tinker Bell flew to the top of the small mast as Chris raised the sail. Peter Pan grabbed Captain Hook, and the boy carried the pirate as he took off flying into the dark, cloudy night, and soon they had parted, heading back to Neverland.
Chris was left alone with Tinker Bell. “Set a course for Rumrunner’s Island,” he said. Tinker Bell flew ahead, and Chris took the rudder and jig and followed her into the night.
“Shiver my Timbers, Shiver my sails,” Chris sang softly to himself. “Dead men will tell tales.”

A terrible illness has been sweeping through the land. It is spreading fast, but fortunately, an antidote has been found: medicine made from the magical sun-star fruit. However, it is extremely rare, and it only grows in the Garden of 100 Secrets. You must enter this garden and retrieve the sun-star fruit. However, the garden is protected by many different guards. If they catch you, they will throw you out... and then the medicine will never be made. You have a companion to help you though: Pasha, a very clever siamese cat. Study the picture of the sun-star fruit carefully, and good luck!
Page 6
You and Pasha have reached the wall which surrounds the Garden of Secrets. To enter the garden, you will need to get over the wall. You can either climb up the wisteria vines, or you can climb up the stones jutting out from the wall.
If you climb up the wisteria, turn to page 8.
If you follow the stone handholds, turn to page 10.
Page 8
The wisteria vines lead you through a grove of trees. Farther ahead, the trees rise up to cover the side of a mountain. Numerous cave openings are partially hidden beneath the trees.
Pasha warns you that the only caves that can be entered safely are caves near trees with a number of pine cones that ends in 2 or 4.
If you choose a cave near the bottom of the mountain, turn to page 12
If you choose a cave near the top of the mountain, turn to page 14.
Page 10
Jumping down from the stone handholds, you see two enchanted lion-dog statues guarding the pathways of the garden. To break their spell, you must find 5 differences between them.
If you take the path leading towards the water, turn to page 16.
If you take the path under the portico of flowers, turn to page 14.
(Path and pages are reveresed. Corrected in my translation.)
Page 12
Pasha tells you that if you climb to the top of the pagoda, you will see which path you must fullow. However, the door to the pagoda has 5 locks sealing the door. To climb to the top, you must first find 5 keys so that you can enter. You see a bridge and a cabin in the distance.
If you investigate the bridge, turn to page 18.
If you investigate the cabin, turn to page 20.
Page 14
Angry hornets are about to attack! However, they can be distracted by the pollen from flowers. You will need one flower for every hornet. Count the hornets to know how many flowers you will need to grab.
If you run to the left, towards the cabin hidden amongst the green trees, turn to page 20.
If you run to the right, towards the hill of flowers, turn to page 22.
Page 16
In front of you, a river splits the garden. A dock stretches out into the water, and a boat is tied up nearby. However, a thick rope anchors the ship to the dock. Can Pasha help you?
If you sail towards the left riverbank, turn to page 22.
If you sail towards the right riverbank, turn to page 24.
Page 18
Bright paper lanterns are strung up over the bridge. The light from the lanterns is so bright that you might be seen by one of the guardians of the garden. How can you get rid of the light?
If you take the path towards the left, turn to page 26.
If you take the path towards the right, turn to page 28.
Page 20
You investigate the cabin. Inside, many plants are growing inside of beautiful ceramic pots. As you walk forward to investigate the room though, you can hear a hissing sound. There is a venomous snake hidden in one of the pots! (Actually 3 snakes.) You must avoid it to get out of the cabin safely.
If you climb out of the window, turn to page 28.
If you walk out through the door, turn to page 30.
Page 22
An angry peacock is guarding the pathway through. Pasha is valiantly trying to distract the peacock so that it does not attack you. However, it looks like the peacock is missing three of its feathers. If you can find them in the grass, you can convince the peacock to let you go past it.
If you take the path towards the water, turn to page 30.
If you take the path towards the tree-lined hills, turn to page 32.
Page 24
You find yourself at a strange gazebo. Many bonsai trees are arranged around the room. Pasha warns you that she heard that some of the pots have poison coating them however. If you touch them by accident, you will become horribly sick and weak. The poisoned pots are identical: Round, orange-red, and with a tree that leans to the right.
If you walk towards the kites, turn to page 32.
If you walk towards the birds near the water, turn to page 34.
Page 26
A vegetable garden is partially hidden by tall walls. All around the garden, scarecrows stand protecting the vegetables. However, 5 of them are really guards in disguise. Spot them to avoid them!
If you exit through the left gate, turn to page 36.
If you exit through the right gate, turn to page 44.
Page 28
A wide terrace of rainbow-colored stones stretches out in front of you. On a platform, a stone guardian stands, sleeping, next to an enormous gong. If you walk on the wrong stones, the statue will awaken and hit the gong, summoning the guards. To cross, you must carefully follow a pattern of yellow and blue. A yellow, then blue, yellow, blue, yellow, blue, and so on, until you finish crossing the terrace.
If you head towards the light, turn to page 36.
If you climb the steps, turn to page 38.
Page 30
This section of the river is covered with giant lily pads... but it is also infested with crocodiles and biting fish. The lily pads are so big that even a fully grown person can walk on them. Pasha will distract the other animals while you run across the lily pads. Move quickly though, or Pasha won't have enough time to run and follow you.
If you run to the left, towards the tile-covered platform, turn to page 38.
If you run to the right, towards the bamboo, turn to page 40.
Page 32
Two giant kites have crashed into the bushes here. If you can find some tape, and if you can figure out where the holes are on the kites, you can repair them. Then you can fly with one of them!
If you choose the cheerful yellow kite, turn to page 40.
If you choose the grimacing red kite, turn to page 42.
Page 34
The birds walking through the water are also animals that help to protect the gardens. If you anger them, they will squawk and screech to summon the guards. However, it looks like many of them have gotten tangled up in different things. Perhaps if you help them, they will let you pass. Can you find 5 things that are causing problems for the birds?
If you head towards the little building that has a little light shining from it, turn to page 36.
If you head towards the smoke rising from the trees, turn to page 42.
Page 36
This little building is filled with fireworks. One of the smaller fireworks, a sparkler, created a little flashing light that shone through the window. However, the sun has been making this room get hotter and hotter. If it continues, the light from the sun will cause the flares to ignite... which could cause an explosion! How can you stop the sunlight from shining into this room?
You managed to avoid the catastrophe of the firework explosion, but unfortunately, you have not found the sun-star fruit. Return to page 6 to try again.
Page 38
On the tiled floor, an enormous rug is spread out on the floor. In the center of the rug, you can see a picture of a sun-star fruit surrounded by snakes. Pasha tells you that this is actually a magical flying carpet! In order to activate its powers though, you must solve the dragon-snake's riddle. Starting from the tails, you must trace their bodies to find the one dragon-snake that is biting into the sun-star fruit.
You have found the magic carpet, but now you must still find the sun-star fruit.
Return to page 6, with the magic carpet, and start again.
Page 40
In the bamboo grove, a panda is eating bamboo for his lunch. However, 6 pairs of menacing eyes are spying on him. If you can find them all, you can scare them away, so that the panda will not be attacked.
Although you have saved the panda, you have unfortunately not found the sun-star fruit. You must go back to page 6, and try again.
Page 42
Oh no, a ferocious dragon! His tail lashes, and smoke rises from his nostrils. Before you can react though, Pasha reassures you: The dragon is not trying to attack you; he is trying to find his lost sister. Can you help him find the other dragon?
The dragon thanks you, and promises not to call the guards on you, because you have helped his family. Unfortunately though, he does not have the sun-star fruit. You will have to return to page 6, and try again.
Page 44
You find yourself in a beautiful orchard. Everywhere, fruit grows on trees, on bushes, on shrubs, even on the ground! Butterflies flutter through the trees, magical colors flashing off of their wings. This is definitely where the sun-star fruit grows! However... can you remember what it looked like?
Once you remember and find it, you will have completed your quest!

Miny & Grin 💖 Also Medes 🤣
Miny 55. Lead Sails (And a Paper Anchor)
Withering away A shrinking violet dies So full of life, these lights have dried me out Into the sea Needed a drink I never thought this would consume me whole
Will I come up for air, come up for air After a while the current is calling me, lulling me, waving goodbye I'm out here alone, oh god can you save me now? Sinking, my heart turns to stone (turns to stone) Sinking my heart turns to stone
Save me, take me home Over and over again Save me, take me home Wishing that this all would end Save me, take me home Over and over again Save me, take me home Wishing that this all would end
After a while the current is calling me, lulling me, waving goodbye I'm out here alone, oh god can you save me now? Sinking, my heart turns to stone After a while the current is calling me, lulling me, waving goodbye I'm out here alone, oh god can you save me now? Sinking, my heart turns to stone (turns to stone) Sinking, my heart turns to stone
Idk if I have a reason for this one aside from the vibes. They're both GOING THROUGH IT. Again - they literally have so much in common and if they could just freely discuss that I know they'd be friends. But instead they are IDIOTS and punched each other. Good jobs kids.
youtube
Grin 20. 2 Minus 1 - Seventeen
All the time in the world to myself I can go out and drink all day and night But why can't I get you off my mind
I can't get you out of my head, yeah Gotta get you out of my head, yeah How can you be so fine when I'm, I'm, 아이야이야
Two minus one I can see you're doing really good without me, baby Two minus one I'm doing great myself Hope you know I am
'Cause I'm not lonely, lonely, lonely, lonely, yeah Lonely, lonely, lonely, lonely, yeah Two minus one I'm super fine I don't need you anymore
And every time I see you in my feed I don't feel anything anymore We used to be best friends I remember you said that you can be yourself when I'm around Guess that didn't really matter All the feelings we had were not worth much to you at all Well I moved on, so keep your two cents Sympathy subtraction
This is dramatic, do not take this at face value but it made me laugh and .....................like lowkey though. Really really really lowkey. The progression through this song of like 'over it' back to '....or am I' is kind of a high-key (but lowkey) Greg mood at Martin. Especially because they do not talk much anymore (Greg's fault, master of ignoring and not reaching out, does it to himself), it seemingly fits the mood. He's happy for you martin, really.
youtube
Medes Oh man there are.... not a lot of options for this grumpy old bird. Uh. uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh I will give him............. 61. Stuck in a Moment - U2.
I'm not afraid Of anything in this world There's nothing you can throw at me That I haven't already heard
I'm just trying to find A decent melody A song that I can sing In my own company
I never thought you were a fool But darling, look at you (Ooh) You gotta stand up straight, carry your own weight These tears are going nowhere baby
You've got to get yourself together You've got stuck in a moment And now you can't get out of it Don't say that later will be better Now you're stuck in a moment And you can't get out of it

Common Causes Why Boats Capsize
Tumblr media
Boating can be loads of fun, but you’re also faced with risks that can be horrifyingly scary and even life-threatening. Sometimes when you hear emergencies at sea, you see victims out in the water and a boat that has been capsized. Unfortunately, capsizing accidents can lead to drowning incidents and loss of goods.
However, don’t let this deadly risk discourage you from boating out in the open waters. This incident can be avoided if one does take precautions on operating a boat and avoiding causes that may result in capsizing.
What does a capsized boat mean?
A capsize is defined as a boat rolling over onto its side or completely over because of instability. This causes boats to sink under the water. The main reasons why boats get unstable are because there is an imbalance in the weight of the boat due to overloading, leaking water that gets inside the boat, and turbulent weather.
What Boats are at a Risk to Capsize and Why?
The majority of capsizes are smaller boats. About 10 percent of them are dinghies such as tinny boats or canoes, for example, since they can capsize easily, especially when there is imbalanced weight distribution on board. However, they don’t cause much damage and it’s easier for boaters to flip them up in their proper position.
Around 40 percent of small boats that capsizes have a length of around 15 to 19 feet. Some examples of these are fishing boats that have cockpits that are hard to drain.  Even boats that are in the 20+ foot range can capsize as well.
What Causes a Boat to Capsize?
Poor Weight Distribution: Boats tend to capsize if the weight on board is distributed unevenly. If there are more passengers or cargo loads placed on one side of the boat compared to the other side, it causes imbalance.
If the boat also exceeds its weight limit, it loses its stability, and its draft will increase. This can increase the chances of capsizing even in calm waters. All it takes is a large gust of wind to blow the waters over for the boat to roll on its side.
Human Error: Sometimes carelessness can cause unfortunate incidents even in operating a boat. If you disregard operating your boat safely or fail to maintain your boat regularly, your recklessness will cause the boat to capsize.
Leaks: Another major cause of the capsizing is due to leaks. Leaks can cause water to get inside the boat which affects the boat’s stability. The water inside the boat increases its weight making it sink into the water. Leaks are caused by a lot of factors; it may be due to a damaged hull or forgetting to put in the drain plug in the boat, or excess water accumulating in the stern.
Bad Weather: Storms at sea can cause damage to boats, especially if it’s not sea-worthy enough to challenge through rough waves and strong winds. Strong winds can flip a boat at sea like a paper doll causing it to capsize and sink into the ocean.
How to Prevent Your Boat from Capsizing
Don’t overload your boat. Make sure to balance the distribution of your passengers and your gear. You need to take note of the maximum weight your boat can carry. For small boats, keep the overall weight low and should never reach its maximum capacity. Move on the boat’s centre line to balance your boat.
Make sure to instruct your passengers on which areas they can safely sit and load your cargo where it won’t upset your boat’s equilibrium.
Make sure to purchase equipment to drain the water from your boat. A bilge pump is usually used to drain water on boats. If you have enough resources, you can purchase a boat with a self-draining deck.
Turn at controlled speeds especially if you’re operating a small boat. Just like driving a car, speeding can cause you to lose control over your vessel and it’ll be harder to maneuver at a high speed.
When anchoring, always keep in mind to secure the anchor line to your boat’s bow, not the stern.
Always wear a life jacket on board, especially if the water conditions seem rough.
If it can be avoided, don’t sail out when the waves are rough or if there is bad weather. Always look at your local forecast to know what weather the day will have to know if it’s safe to sail out.
