Why yes I'm still mad that what was proclaimed to be the most inclusive version of the Legion of Super-Heroes ended up being the most offensive version by far.
I mean it's kind of funny but not funny "ha ha."

Did I just read your Super Sons primer from 2020 at 3 am on a Monday morning because I'm having a real normal one? Maybe?! I'm wondering how you feel about how they and their relationship has developed since then. IMO it's... Pretty bleak. 😩
I HAVE A LOT OF FEELINGS ABOUT IT. (Also here's the primer for anyone who missed it.)
So I will say that 95% of everything Jon has been in since he got aged up has been hot garbage, but I do think the exception is when Damian is around. But let's take it from the top!
First of all, I don't necessarily think they should de-age him again. Generally speaking I think it's better storytelling to focus on fixing things moving forward, rather than undoing things moving back. Sure, if DC came up with some big cosmic event that reset Jon to 11, I certainly wouldn't complain, but I'd rather see them, uh...do literally anything with Teen Jon that doesn't suck.
But yeah, aging Jon up to begin with still makes me livid because:
I want my baby to have had a childhood.
It's fully character assassination for Lois and Clark. They would NEVER let their 11-year-old go to outer space with a supervillain. Lois would NEVER just abandon him out there, and Clark would NEVER respond with "Well, I'm sure he's fine, wanna have marathon sex?" I honestly have no idea what Bendis or his editor were thinking.
They have not done a single interesting with him since!!!
Putting this behind a cut because it got LONG. Also spoilers for Beast World in there.
I've said this before, but I have to assume that Bendis wanted to age Jon up because he wanted to write a Legion book. But he also in his wisdom decided to bring Kon back into continuity at exactly the same time, which means we have two nearly identical Superboys that DC didn't and still doesn't know what to do with. Kon clearly couldn't have joined the LOSH because he already had a team, but you know what Super teen was available, and not 11, and who has a history with the Legion that goes back almost as long as Clark's? KARA. But I will save that rant for another day.
And honestly, Kara dodged a bullet, because that Legion book was unreadable. Bendis at his most Bendis-y wall of text interrupt-y conversations and no plot. If I give Tom Taylor any credit it's that the second he got his hands on Jon, he torpedoed Jon/Imra as a ship. GOOD.
And when the LOSH book finally went out with a whimper (that JLA/LOSH miniseries! what was that!!!), we entered the Taylor Era. Taylor's quirks are less stylistic and more narrative than Bendis's. You can spot Bendisian dialogue at twenty paces, but a Taylor comic tips its hand when it sets up a really interesting premise or a really high stakes threat and then immediately undercuts it with a little wet fart noise of nothing. To wit:
Jon's starting college! This will be an interesting challenge for him to readjust to normal life after six years in a torture-volcano and an indeterminate amount of time in the future, and also considering he never graduated from sixth grade. I wonder what will - oh no he dropped out after three pages. (He has done NOTHING in his civilian identity since, btw. I guess he's too busy hovering just behind Dick at all times to work on his GED or whatever.)
Jon is going to confront Ultraman! Finally the comics will have to engage with all the trauma he must have - oh no Ultraman's dead.
Jon is trapped in the Injustice Universe! This is a really dangerous universe that might make him question everything he knows about - oh he just lectured everyone and flounced off home.
Beast World is a perfect example. Taylor seems to think that having a hero effortlessly solve a problem makes them look badass, but it's actually the effort that makes them look badass. So like, we spent five months keeping the Kryptonians and other A-class heroes away from the spores because the spores are attracted to power and if a Super got spore'd everyone would be in big trouble...but then in the last issue, they just have Jon fly up to everyone with a spore in them, wait for the spore to jump at him, and catch it? That doesn't make the Titans look smart or Jon look tough. It makes all of them look like idiots because it it was that easy, why didn't they do that in the first place?
On top of that, Taylor doesn't ever really earn relationships. Jon and Jay is the obvious one. Jay has no personality. There's no chemistry between the two characters. Jon might as well be dating a cardboard cutout labeled "Proof of Queerness." (Or "Bernard." Ahem.) But we're supposed to be like, yes, give Tom Taylor a GLAAD award for using queer characters as props, when he's going to turn around and kiss Chuck Dixon's ass on social for being homophobic about Jon? UGH.
Honestly worse for me though is the Jon and Dick relationship. Because Taylor is writing both characters, we're supposed to believe that there's this close mentor-mentee bond there? I don't think they EVER interacted before the Taylor era. (And don't even look at me with that retconned-in scene of Dick finding lost baby Jon. You're telling me that Superman, with his X-ray and telescopic vision, needs to call Bruce and Dick for help finding his own son? Fuck off.)
Anyway it all combines to make basically every Jon appearance for the past three years profoundly unsatisfying. Even the stuff that isn't by Taylor never goes anywhere. Remember when he was jealous of the Super Twins for two panels? And then everyone forgot about it forever? SIGH.
HOWEVER.
However.
If there is one thing that Bendis and Taylor and every other writer got right, it's that Jon is crazy bonkers in love with Damian always and forever. Jon has been written like shit since 2019, but he has also not wavered in his devotion for even one single solitary second.
THE EVIDENCE:
This is the first thing Jon does when he gets back to Earth:
Tumblr media
He then tells Damian he's contemplating not joining the Legion because he'll have to leave Damian behind. Damian tells him to go and then come get him if it's cool.
Tumblr media
Turns out the Legion is cool. Jon comes and gets Damian. The Legion isn't happy about it and Jon threatens to leave if Damian can't stay, while gazing adoringly at Damian's unconscious body cradled in his arms:
Tumblr media
Eventually LOSH is canceled and Jon comes home and starts following Damian around by listening for his heartbeat. LIKE PALS DO!
Tumblr media
Then Damian gives him a pep talk!
Then there's this ABSOLUTE CUDDLE:
Tumblr media
The way Damian nuzzles into Jon's shoulder! Can you even stand it!
And then there's this:
Tumblr media
The climax of Son of Kal-El, btw, is one of the several times Jon is saved by Damian and confides in Damian and turns to Damian for comfort or advice...and Jay is just sort of standing there off to the side. I am fully aware I have ship goggles on but the degree of emotional investment Jon has in these relationships is not the same.
Then they had a special issue teamup:
Tumblr media
Then we got Dark Crisis, and I actually love this interaction between them, because they are very different people with very different upbringings and this feels extremely in character to me for how they would both handle the loss of their fathers:
Tumblr media
But even when they disagree, they still instantly support each other. Jon comes back with information? Damian makes a plan:
Tumblr media
Also, we got the 2022 Pride issue where Jon, Jay, and Damian go to Pride together. I know that story is...contentious...but leave me here with Damian sulking while Jon and Jay kiss, okay?
Then we get Adventures of Superman, which is objectively awful, but Jon does spend his whole time in the Injustice universe thinking about Damian like the seagulls in Finding Nemo saying "Mine? Mine? Mine?"
Tumblr media
This whole arc is truly hilarious. Jon finds out that Damian accidentally killed Dick and his response is to a) go find Batman and yell at him for not supporting Damian enough for accidentally killing Dick, and then b) go find Damian to be like "Wow, that must have been really hard for you (accidentally killing Dick)." There's being ride or die for your BFF, and then there's whatever the fuck Jon has going on.
(Meanwhile there's an incredibly uncomfortable scene with him and Injustice Jay where Jay "tests" him by trying to get Jon to cheat on regular Jay. So. That happens.)
And then just this past month we got Nightwing #110, where we learn that Jon is still listening to Damian's heart:
Tumblr media
He completely freaks out watching Damian in danger, and immediately intervenes when it looks like Damian is about to kill someone because he knows what matters the most to Damian. Also, this happens:
Tumblr media
YOU WIN THIS ONE, TAYLOR.
AND THEN THEY BICKER I LOVE IT WHEN THEY BICKER:
Tumblr media
AND THEN DAMIAN LETS HIMSELF BE VULNERABLE BY ASKING JON IF HE HURT ANYONE WHILE HE WAS A KITTY, AND JON GIVES YET ANOTHER SPEECH ABOUT HOW DAMIAN HAS NEVER DONE ANYTHING WRONG EVER, IN HIS LIFE, AND DAMIAN STAGGERS OFF, LEANING ON JON.
Tumblr media
This isn't even getting into the Trinity backup stories in Wonder Woman, which, like...Tom King is not valid but Jon and Damian are such an old married couple in them? It's truly incredible?
Tumblr media
It took me like 45 minutes to parse Jon's line here as the general 'you" and not specifically Jon saying Damian wasn't straight. But like..."That's for straight people, which has nothing to do with us" is a hell of a thing to say, Jonathan.
I ALSO haven't even talked about DCeased because it's a different universe, but! Jon sitting with Damian while he dies??? MY HEART.
IN CONCLUSION:
Yes, they should never have aged up Jon.
Yes, most of his appearances since have been terrible and bland.
But OH BOY, do he and Damian remain in love.

With Alan Scott’s first solo book since 1949 now officially announced, I thought it was about time to finally put together a reading guide to all his appearances as a gay man in DC’s main continuity. Infinite Frontier (2021) #0 - Alan comes out as gay to his children in a tearful confession regarding his past fears, his marriages, and the eighty years he’s spent in the closet.
DC Pride (2021) #1 - Alan meets Todd and his boyfriend Damon Matthews for lunch and a long overdue honest discussion -- featuring flashbacks to Alan and Jimmy’s first meeting and the subsequent train crash, as well as a newfound understanding between Alan and Todd and what it had meant for Alan to see Todd as an out gay man.
THE DCU AT LARGE/ONGOING
Infinite Frontier (2021) #1-6 - picking up immediately after the aforementioned IF #0 and DC Pride, the series sees Alan and Todd working together to solve Jennie’s mysterious disappearance and the destruction of the JSA’s HQ. Character development in one 1997 issue of Legion of Super-Heroes is better utilized than full year runs in 2020.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Legion of Super-Heroes (1989) #95
Querl while stranded in 1997 from the 30th century is desperate to find a way back home in the future. Being the only one of their team who even can do seemingly insurmountable task has lead him to take some drastic measures. He come to the Metal Men under the assumption that the technology of the 20th century was too primitive to create sentient robotics, and thus he was genuinely under the impression they were not self aware.
He was very wrong.
In this particular issue we see that desperation and assumption he is leading under while also affirming that Querl does in fact have a code of ethics when it comes to science - just that he doesn't see the Metal Men as sentient or that his own goals with them are in fact the same as vivisection.
The character growth in this issue for Querl is not isolated solely to him realizing that he is incorrect - but in that it takes the sum of all of his experiences with the Legion to help him come to a conclusion he might never have been able to do otherwise. Because while on Colu he never had the opportunity to witness things like affections, or love, or compassion.
Querl apologizes for his trespass, a rare feat for ANY Dox, and the rest of his team are astonished.

'Justice League: Warworld' Gets Brutal Blood-Thirsty Rating
The live-action DC universe has been in a transition period as fans wait for The Flash and James Gunn’s grand vision for the DCU to come to fruition. However, over the last decade, what has united many comic book readers has been DC’s animated universe of films. Now the latest film in the line, Justice League: Warworld, has been given an R-rating.
The edgy rating is pretty straightforward with the only reason given being “some bloody violence.” The animated DCU has loved getting its hands dirty for a while now as Warworld is the 13th R-rated animated film for the brand. This includes Batman: The Killing Joke, Batman: Gotham by Gaslight, Batman: Soul of the Dragon, Suicide Squad: Hell to Pay, Justice League Dark, and Justice League Dark: Apokolips War. This is also the second R-rated film in the “Tomorrowverse” continuity that was started with 2020’s Superman: Man of Tomorrow — with Batman: The Long Halloween - Part 2 being the other film. While it’s hard to expect Warworld to get any bloodier than Apokolips War which was DC’s own messed-up Avengers: Endgame-style story, the source material definitely has the potential to warrant such a rating.
What’s Justice League: Warworld About?
The story of Warworld will see the Justice League in a classic comic scenario of being kidnapped and transported to the brutal title planet that's known for its gladiatorial combat. Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman must unite to form a resistance and lead the entire planet to freedom. This was something that was teased in the post-credit scene in the last film Legion of Super-Heroes. While this film’s not based on any specific DC storyline, Warworld, and the dreaded Mongal are major cornerstones in the universe. Outside the comics, the planet has appeared in many TV shows, movies, and games including the iconic Justice League animated series. Also, given that this is centered around Warworld, DC fans should expect our favorite heroes to be forced to fight each other at some point in the film.
When Will Justice League: Warworld Be Released?
There’s no confirmed release date for Justice League: Warworld yet, but the film is expected to debut sometime this summer. It’s safe to assume the movie will arrive around San Diego Comic-Con which takes place at the end of July. Warworld will star Jensen Ackles, Stana Katic, Darren Criss, Ike Amadi, Troy Baker, Matt Bomer, and Frank Grillo. You can read about the full cast listing here. The film was directed by Legion of Super-Heroes’ Jeff Wamester from a screenplay by Supernatural’s Jeremy Adams. While DC fans wait for more information about Warworld’s bloody antics, you can view the trailer for Legion of Super-Heroes down below.

Superman: Man of Tomorrow (2020)
Я не смотрю новые мультфильмы DC вовсе не потому, что у меня нет такого желания, просто мне нужно было сначала нагнать старые. И будущая экранизация - нечитанного, кстати - комикса The Doom That Came to Gotham как раз смотивировала меня начать просмотр Tomorrowverse и самого последнего мультфильма Batman and Superman: Battle of the Super Sons,

Welcome
Hello! Welcome to my blog, The Supergirl Archives! My name is SK and this is side project born out of my love for Supergirl.
So, what are the Supergirl Archives? This is going to be my incomplete journey through the history of Supergirl comics. I’ve long loved the character, and since I have a DC Universe Infinite (DCUI) account, I thought it would be fun to go back and read through a bunch of old Supergirl comics. And I thought it might be fun to chronicle what I read.
This is what I’m planning to read:
THE ADVENTURES OF EARTH-ONE KARA ZOR-EL
Action Comics (vol 1) #252-359, 364-376, running from 1959-1969
Adventures Comics (vol 1) #278, 340, 360, 368, 374, 381-424, running from 1960-1972
Supergirl (vol 1). Supergirl’s first standalone series that ran for 10 issues from 1972-1974.
Supergirl (vol 2). Her second standalone series that ran for 23 issues from 1982-1984.
Superboy (vol 1) #80, from 1960.
the Brave and the Bold (vol 1) #63 147, 160, from 1965-1980.
Wonder Woman (vol 1) #177, 291-293, from 1968-1982.
Superman (vol 1) #241, 307-308, 335, 368, 414-415, from 1971-1986

Superman Family (vol 1) #182, from 1979.
Detective Comics (vol 1) 508-510, from 1981.
the Phantom Zone (vol 1) #2-4, from 1982.
the Legion of Super-Heroes (vol 2) #294, 300-303, 314-315, from 1982-1894.
the Legion of Super-Heroes (vol 3) #16, from 1985.

Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow (vol 1). The newest mini-series that ran for 8 issues in 2021-2022.
Why “an incomplete journey”? Well, I don’t know if I’m going to read every issue listed, but I’m going to read as many as I can (while still enjoying it), and I’m going to make sure that at the very worst, I’ll sample from each run. Also, I just can’t read everything because DCUI has a lot of gaps in its Action Comics library and there’s probably other issues of Adventure Comics and Action Comics that feature Supergirl, but what I listed are the major runs available to me.
As of right now, I’m going to focus on the Supergirl stories that happened in the main DCU continuity, which means unfortunately right now AU comics like Gotham City Garage, Bombshells, and the Dark Knights of Steel aren’t on my list, even if they are fantastic.
I’m specifically a fan of Kara Zor-El, but I wanted to read the Matrix and Linda Danvers runs, especially because they’re actually the versions of Supergirl that were around when I first got into her.
IF you’re a hardcore Supergirl fan, you know what happened to Kara in 1985. I haven’t decided if I want to read Crisis on Infinite Earths for this, but a part of me does feel like it’s an important enough part of Supergirl’s comic history to justify it.
I’m looking forward to having fun with this! And to read a bunch of comics (admittedly of varying degrees of quality) about one of my favorite superheroes!

Okay so I thought of making a post showing all my art related books. I shall begin with DC comics
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I am a fan of the Legion of Super-heroes, it is unfortunate that they don't get alot of attention in todays media and are barely known in Germany. I had to import a bunch of them from America which was already a hard task to find a seller who'd be willing to do that. But I got them either way!
Only thing I didn't read here was this thick book I bought at a comic store all those years ago, somehow it doesn't speak my interest that much but it also showcases all the appearances of the legionnaires in the old comic books.
Tumblr media
Then I have these 4 magazines from ImagineFX, I find the content really cool where they showcase so many different artists I haven't seen before. Also the old magazines have the extra content on a website where you can easily access the downloadable files of any other magazine from that time by editing the URL. Tho alot might not be useable or because I don't use Photoshop. Well I could pirate it, but also I am spooped of catching viruses.
Tumblr media
These ones got recommended to me by a friend, I am so amazed of Simons works and the way the storytelling takes place. I wish to be able to draw like him one day, it would be so cool to be able to properly visualise everything I'd imagine.
Tumblr media
Oh boy this is a big bunch.
I haven't read all of them thus far, my school stress and worries made me not touch some of them at all since purchase, but I'll try to change that the coming months.
I wasn't a big fan of Conan and Metro, it's not my taste in comics. Perdida for example was a really neat one with a huge twist at the end. It honestly flabbergasted me.
And Myre + Radius are my favourite ones among these comic books. They're the first ones I purchased from Splitter Verlag.
Tumblr media
Oh boy and here we have all my books from 3D total (tomorrow I'll get a few more)
Some I still have to read, two I already finished and 3 of them I already started reading.
I got the Composition & Narrative one on Christmas day. The Hermes delivery guy was also playing music when he was at the door. Like a Santa Claus haha.
Tumblr media
These ones are from all different kinds of book retailers. I saw the Procreate one in my local bookshop and was like, "I need that" and it helped me greatly.
I remember importing the Legends of the Guardians book directly from Australia. It took a while to arrive but it came in December of 2020? I believe. Really gorgeous artworks in there, I love owls so much.
4 of the books were gifted to me, which are equally as cool. I loove the animal anatomy books I got from my dutch friend.
Tumblr media
Last books I have here are from different things. Firstly blender... I, I know there are free internet tutorials. But I am stupid so I need a book where everything is written down so I don't melt my brain trying to google a solution. It's reaaaally big
I haven't read the Nier artbook yet, but maybe soon.
The other two are as seen from avatar and alita battle angel. I went through both of thwm and really enjoy the contents presented in there. I still remember watching Alita back in the cinema, I was soooo mindblown by everything, and the OST of the movie just rocks.
Oh boy I don't think my artbook obsession will ever stop, they atleast greatly help me learning new things for my own artworks. Yes there are youtube tutorials but I also would like to read up on things.
I can't wait to look at the contents of my new books tomorrow. I must absorb the knowledge into my brain!

Now Watching: DC's Tomorrowverse!
Would you believe that my other DC universe movie list is one of my better posts? Totally a DC girl, sorry not sorry Marvel. My movie partner let me know that DC was going to start a new universe of movies, so you know I had to jump in and keep up with it!
Tumblr media
Link: Tomorrowverse - Wikipedia. Here is your list in order! I will keep this posted updated as movies come out!
Tumblr media
Superman: Man of Tomorrow (2020)
This to me is very indicative of them rebooting the alternative universe but also making the heroes younger. Appealing to a younger audience? Not a bad movie.
Tumblr media
Justice Society: World War II (2021)
You know in every universe you have to have Flash mess with the timeline to act as the introduction to the superhero group. It is a nice flashback to the past, and honestly I wish the random characters like Black Canary would get their own movie, they are great! Good movie.
Tumblr media
Batman: The Long Halloween Part 1 (2021)
I watched this movie before but I rewatched it again as a proper order in the universe. So, this movie, as far as the tomorrowverse would go-introduces batman, gotham city, and all that it entails. The almost "alternative mood" and different animation style makes sense in universe.
Tumblr media
Batman: The Long Halloween Part 2 (2021)
I watched this movie before but I rewatched it again as a proper order in the universe. This one finishes part 1. It establishes the proper placement for a lot of the major characters in this series. My next guess, or question, would be...when does batman get roped into the group?
Tumblr media
Green Lantern: Beware My Power (2022)
This establishes a new Green Lantern to the group and starts to focus less on the players, more on the team. Not a bad movie.
Tumblr media
Legion of Super-Heroes (2023)
This movie is interesting in the fact that it establishes a future point within the universe and has it play as part of the story. You also don't tend to see a lot of super girl, but the DC universes are always a little "superman and company" forward.
Tumblr media
Justice League: War World (2023)
This was probably my favorite out of all of the movies. I was kind of wondering when you would start to have some bigger game picture plot come into play. Besides being the classic core of the group, excellent movie. Sets up for a great next film.
This, compared to the other universe, is young and still being added to. As new movies get added, I will update this post! Have you caught up yet? Which movie is your favorite?

Not to treat you like an expert on comic books but, what do you think of the Ominous Chalkboard Ramblings from flashpoint beyond #0? Idk what half of it means but… Geoffy’s little hints gotta mean smth for his other ongoings
i'd love to be treated like a comic book expert, god knows i try to read enough to warrant it! i think a lot of the chalkboard is pretty straightforward so let's take a look at it:
Tumblr media
(our first glimpse, in flashpoint beyond 2022 #0)
Tumblr media
(first time seen in full, in flashpoint beyond #5)
5G averted -> the 5G initiative, or generation five, was a rumoured reboot of the dc universe that had been set up all the way back in doomsday clock 2017 and then unceremoniously cancelled between dan didio jumping ship and the pandemic delaying books & thus putting the fear of low sales in publishers' hearts. what we have left of 5G is wonder woman #750 (which is narrated by alan scott while attending the 1939 world's fair), the flash #750, detective comics #1027, generations: shattered #1, generations: forged #1 and supposedly future state. the purpose of this potential reboot had been to unite all eras of the dcu and make sense of it all over again like zero hour: crisis in time had back in 1994. instead, we got the soft reboot that is infinite frontier 2020 and the current time-related arc starting from the new golden age 2022 #1 because geoff is clearly still set on the generations/legacy aspect (and thank god he is!).
must travel beyond omniverse etc -> this one's less clear but i'd guess it's related to dark crisis 2022 and the return of the infinite earths, we've got an upcoming tie-in (dark crisis: big bang) dealing with precisely this. geoff explains the omniverse and hypertime better than i ever could right here:
Tumblr media
(flashpoint beyond #5)
the true black adam will show no mercy -> i think the answers to this one may be found within the pages of christopher priest's black adam 2022 miniseries but unfortunately i don't keep up with that one. something to do with malik white surely?
fall of justice league/rise of legacy league -> one again dark crisis related. when flashpoint beyond first came out we were very much still in the very early stages of crisis, it stands to reason that the legacy league is referring to the generation of heroes currently at the forefront of the action (jon, yara, dick & damian, etc) after the death of the justice league in justice league #75 last summer.
why is deathstroke not acting like deathstroke? -> again early dark crisis, the fact that slade hadn't been using his usual methods is a topic of discussion more than once in the first couple issues. the answer is that he's been possessed/infected by the great darkness and he's under pariah's control!
the legions of four worlds/remember earth-3/warn earth-247 -> i suspect this one's something to keep an eye on for future developments but the original legion of super-heroes was wiped out during the continuity reboots in zero hour, giving rise to a different legion until infinite crisis 2005 when a third incarnation appeared, which means up to now we technically have the legions of three worlds -- a fourth may very well be the one seen in the new golden age #1, which showed a future justice society in the 30th century but that's an educated guess at best. worth noting here is that remembering earth-3 is likely referring to remembering its destruction during crisis on infinite earths 1985 and earth-247 (named as such in infinite crisis) refers to the post-zero hour future earth of the second legion of super-heroes incarnation.
the great darkness wants nothing -> very much true, dark crisis: the deadly green 2022 #1 reveals the great darkness to be infected by pariah's madness and grief and having no motive of its own.
beware: he'll find his son do not interfere -> this one's anyone's guess since it's kept purposely vague. one of my theories is that it may refer to the stranger seen haunting helena in the new golden age being per degaton's son to keep in line with the lost children theme, otherwise i can't think of any character currently looking for his son (flashpoint thomas has already found his son after all, while a few others -- jay garrick, roy harper -- are looking for daughters). another possibility is doctor manhattan's son from doomsday clock as he's briefly seen in the new golden age.
his daughter will rejoin the justice society to save it -> helena wayne! the new golden age and the upcoming jsa ongoing both reveal that someone's been interfering with the justice society's timeline across the ages and helena's on a quest to save the jsa, the use of 'rejoin' makes it especially obvious since she hasn't been a part of the team since all-star comics 1976.
thomas wayne will die -> flashpoint thomas wayne was going to die as rip hunter makes it abundantly clear in flashpoint beyond #6 but bruce's gambit paid off and thomas came to accept a world without his son.
who's hunting the time masters? -> the leading question in, again, the new golden age. my guess is per degaton or a possible son (see above) with access to his time-travel tech.
and that's all, folks! i hope this answered some questions and helped a little :)
