I don’t care what anybody says, this avatar globe is the worst change to things. Like, no. The avatar world is flat. There is no solar system, just spirits moving around in the sky. Fight me.

for some reason i can never trigger the dialogue choice for shadowheart and telling her about your urges as durge so i found it on youtube instead lmao
it's one of the ones that feels more ... idk. caring? probably not the right word ... but concerned. it feels like it comes from a place of understanding rather than trying to brush off durge. it's very much "your thoughts are not a definition of who you are. what you choose to do with your thoughts are"
shadowheart's been shown to take durge with a lot more care, concern, and compassion than most. it probably has something to do with the fact that she has a literal shock collar for when she 'strays' from shar and treats that as the thing that compels her. in her misguided, indoctrinated mind she probably believes she too, is resisting some nasty anti-sharran urges and that the resistance will be enough for her faith or whatever.
this scene just feels different from the other ones where the general vibe felt like "lol just kill villains" or whatever. the others sort of feel like ... when someone tells you to just go meditate or whatever when you tell them you have a mental illness. it's dismissive and doesn't come from a place of understanding.

(adding onto the ask i sent about will eye color changing) they did it gradually too, his eyes got darker the more the possession get stronger, so what you said about flayed!robins eyes losing the usual warmth to them could be literal too since her eyes get slightly darker when the mind flayer first winter soldiered her
ooooh yes!!!
robin's eyes are blue too, so the slow shift from blue eyes to dark brown eyes (and everyone noticing except robin, because the mind flayer is blocking her from registering the change in her own mind)
nancy notices at murray's, after will and robin get burned, nancy begins to notice that while robin still looks normal, something about her is off. and if she looks closely, she can see that robin's eyes are not totally blue anymore, there's a little brown in them now. (she doesn't know what this means, not yet anyways, and not until it's too late.) nancy goes up to robin, in a completely platonic way of course, pulls robin's face down to her level so she can check her eyes and get a good assessment of the situation. robin short-circuits with nancy that close to her. (the mind flayer will use this information for later...)
nancy looks again once robin's fully flayed and the dark brown eyes replacing her blue ones is...well, nancy doesn't know how to describe it. brown eyes are usually so warm, so inviting, but on robin they're cold, and nothing short of evil. when nancy's straddling robin to sedate her, she gets a brief, but still good, look at her eyes. and nancy hates to admit it, but in some evil, fucked up way, robin's reddish brown eyes are...strangely beautiful.

I thought I was losing my mind last night. The light in our livingroom shut off and here I just commented to my wife about it and she goes:
"Oh yeah, that was me. I was trying to get your attention."
She was very painful last night (long covid, fibromyalgia) and took her hallucinogenic muscle relaxer... she kept texting me, messaging me on messenger and sent me an audio clip to be a bug. Why? Because she wanted me to get her cereal, and sit with her because her hallucinations are "scary" instead of just going to sleep. Apparently flickering the livingroom light (hooked up to google home) from her phone was to get my attention so that I checked my phone... because I was gaming with a headset on. 🤦♀️
I got her cereal and checked on her multiple times to try to get her to sleep. As for the light, in the moment, I thought it was a glitch or something, so I just verbally turned the damn thing back on.

At her quip, Randall smiled and pretended to pull the cake away-similar to how a gambler would proudly pull in all the chips they’d won-but he stopped, chuckled, and instead grabbed a knife and cut them a slice each, passing one to Emily before tucking into his own, which was rich and delicate and creamy all at once. He didn’t know how the wizards down in the café did it, but this truly was a job well done, and he’d be sure to leave a generous tip, as a “thank you” for making this grand night of celebration for his angel something special.
His stealing of food and leaving generous tips from his equally-generous salary quickly became a part of the Opera Ghost mythos, once he arrived there: Although there was a lot of debate early on over whether or not ghosts could really eat or if there was somebody else sneaking around stealing food, that was all put to rest when he’d left them a note, complimenting a lunch he’d had (he’d heard someone in the dining room of the café say “my compliments to the chef!”, and so he thought it’d be polite to do the same). From then on, they knew it was the Ghost, who came to dine fairly regularly, and could expect a nice tip in return.
(That was how they could tell when someone else was stealing food-the second party, when they did work there, did not tip when they absconded with things like desserts and fresh baked goods. Needless to say, said second party did not last long there, and was let go after being caught trying to run off with a whole fruit pie the cooks had labored over that day. Good thing too-it was a strawberry pie, and Randall himself had designs on it!)

if we're talking and the shame was on the other side it makes more sense thematically for will and mike to kiss not in the upside down
