It has has such a powerful hold on me.

The way his head is bowed, his shoulders burdened with so much grief and responsibility. Sitting in shadow—with naught but barrels, crates, a couple plants, and stone surrounding him.

A break from him being the leader, the shepherd, the councilor. This scene gives him a moment to just FEEL.

There is light just around the corner. Hope. Resolve. Resolution.

But, in this moment, Gandalf can experience those feelings of sadness and devastation.

To pause, after running around Middle Earth for so long.

The deep breath before the plunge.

idk if im stupid or a genius for realising this just now but the wedding scene in fleabag when the Hot Priest says

"Love is awful. It’s awful. It’s painful. It’s frightening. It makes you doubt yourself, judge yourself, distance yourself from the other people in your life. It makes you selfish. Grief is wild. I never used to understand the whole "things that remind you of them make you cry" deal but NOW??? I have a whole list of songs I cannot listen to anymore.

One of them came on the radio at work and I had to run to the warehouse. (It was See You Again, the first song that came on the radio after we left the vet without holly)

Anyway, have a picture of her that makes me laugh. She was about to sneeze
