I am still not over the "I hope you won't be tainted by fate" line.

It's just...

The way in most stories I know fate is something that proves the existence of a higher power and gives life meaning. Even if it's tragic. That very human paradox of wanting to fight against the very same thing that gives life meaning.

And in genshin it's all upside down. Fate as something fake, devoid of any real meaning, a cage made by a false god.

#it's buddhist in a way but not quite #I feel like genshin samsaras are not even lessons #not the process of refining souls narcissenkreuzers assume #just a cage #maybe that's what draws me to this game #the basic assumptions they base their stories on are very different from the ones I'm used to #so every classic fairytale gets a different spin

#my art #undertale #chara dreemurr #am a bit bereft of things to say lol sorry. usually this is where i have a whole diatribe to go off on #i didn't feel like celebrating very much this year so the artwork i made isnt very celebratory #but it was always the sad and futile parts of the story that made me feel the most when i was a kid . so #it's maybe truer to the spirit of my love for this game than any of the cutesy celebration drawings ive done over the years #um . as it was and still is. my heart lives where this story is #if i hadn't played it when i was a kid i don't know if i would have made it this far. im actually almost certain i wouldnt have #sometimes its hard to be thankful for that but i make myself be thankful lol.#so dramatic rofl. well it's just what i was thinking #thanks for being here everyone. i kind of like how this drawing turned out and i hope you will too

I am by no means an expert on the subject at all, but if I could give one piece of advice to people who are job hunting, it is to always save a copy of the description of any job you apply for. It’s getting RIDICULOUS out there (at least in my experience/industry) in terms of how long between when a job gets posted and when they start contacting applicants for interviews, and unless you have a photographic memory, or the job is still active on the website you found it on, you will forget details about the job before you get invited to interview and it’s probably not a strong sign if you ask the interviewer what the heck the job is again (even if it’s fair given the elapsed time and how many applications people expect you to have going at once).

If it’s not already available in PDF format, just click the print option on your browser’s menu when you’re on the webpage with the job listing and when it gives you the window with the printer specifications, select “save as PDF” on the dropdown of available printers instead and save it to the same folder where you’re saving your cover letters/resumes/application materials with the name of the company/job title/date you applied in the file name. easy peasy. I still forget to do this occasionally but even remembering to do it half the time has saved me a lot of trouble overall.

job hunting sucks and is demoralizing on the best day, so keep your head up, do little things like this to make your life easier, and remember that I love you 💖 you got this!

#signed someone who forgot to do this for a recent job app and got an interview #and had to fumble the whole way through because I could not remember what the main responsibilities they’d listed were #and the job was no longer up on their website #it’s entirely possible I’m still in the running but it’s looking VERY unlikely #anyway it is fucking miserable out there but this will help a lot #job hunting #employment #jobsearch #life advice #maybe this is not revolutionary advice to other people but it was a game changer for me personally #no more panicking when I was asked why I applied for a job or what drew me to it and drawing a blank

I don't and sadly I don't think I will make one. It would be fun to interact with people who enjoys my work and wants to chat with me but I just feel it would be too much work for me to handle a discord server. So at least for now I'm not planning to make one.

a little cat porcelain doll character I stayed up all night drawing. The inspirations for this design are: dolls (duh), a porcelain “tea party” bracelet I made and kintsugi! I didn’t give them clothes because my attempts weren’t going to way i liked. Let me know how you’d dress them!
