For those missing the Dimitrescu server, those without servers and those wanting to join something new... without further adeu..

I introduce "THE CAVE".

The Cave is a server for 18+ members to make friends, share media content and info dump freely in appropriate channels. Our mission is to bring together like-minded nerds and nomads and explore ever deeper into the caves of media for our neurospicy brains content.

If you are a writer, artist, streamer, photographer, musician or other creative field we have self promo channels, and channels to share your creative side. Whether that be commision sheets, fanfic, random meme art or more.

I wanted to make a server dedicated to more general media then just a specific franchise or company to avoid the chat going completely dead and having to say its goodbyes. (Rip Castle Dimitrescu).

If you are 18+ and would like to share your creative ideas or share content you've lived this I'd the place to do so!

As the server is still new you may want to allow me a little bit of time to finish decorating the walls of this cavern, but I am proud of this project and would love for you to join us!

So I made a private media server for myself and family, and I love it, I can watch all my movies or listen to all my music whenever I want!

I hate the amount of work I have to do for it though... I'm barely a quarter of the way through all of my tv shows, animes, movies, or music, not including all of the stuff my family has...

So much work, and I'm still the only one that actually uses the server, no one else seems interested... I'm proud of it, but... sometimes it's so tedious

My NAS that I use as a media server now has less than a terabyte of space left out of 4TB. I still have a couple hundred movies to put on it so I think it's finally time to get more drives. I think I'm gonna see about getting a couple 6TB drives this time.

So! I own and operate my own media server, and I've had some issues... some major issues that I believe I have fixed... my problem now is that it's going to take hours... several hours (8 to be exact) to get everything back onto my server harddrive... *sigh* I sometimes really hate computers.

every time people talk about whats ‘canon’ or not its so obvious that little to none of mcyt fans have actually played/done roleplay on a minecraft server(or similar situation) themselves

Like girl the ‘timeline’ is whatever you want it to be for your character. Show up to whatever events you want. Maybe you play every day or maybe you log in once a month. Who gives a shit lol we are here to have fun.

and i very much think fans need to keep in mind this same mentality. Continuity is nice and good but also its whatever the roleplayers want their story to be. And no matter what continuity errors this could cause for the overall story I have genuine faith that these guys can Yes-And their way out of any situation. And for fans making fan content you can make the timeline whatever you want. The world is your oyster. Literally who gives a shit.

This is what I wrote in the feedback section for the new discord update:

I absolutely hate that the messages like group chats and DMs are in a different tab than servers now. there was absolutely nothing broken about the way that it was laid out and displayed before, so there's no reason to "fix" it!! I also am sorely missing the ability to swipe left to look at all members of a server, the having to click on the top feels clunky and visually unpleasant. I hate being taken to an entirely different screen just to see who's online! it's an entirely unnecessary extra step that helps no one. the idea of "prioritizing messaging" by putting private messages and group chats in a tab seperate from servers is completely asinine when discord as a whole is a messaging service in and of itself! also, it's a small aesthetic change but rounding the corners of the servers when swiping to look at the servers at the side is unnecessary and unwelcome and overall incredibly displeasing to look at. speaking of swiping, making it so swiping left creates a reply to a message is the most unnecessary, confusing, and almost MALICIOUS feeling change yet, especially when swiping left had an entirely different function before. please listen to your user base and stop making so many changes that absolutely NO ONE is actually asking for and actively make the user experience worse. you have a good app, it is not broken, stop trying to fix things that don't need to be changed because you've continually only made things worse.
