I saw a post yesterday that kind of rubbed me the wrong way, that ‘lost media’ should only be about like…unaired episodes of nickelodeon/Disney shows and not ‘that gross morbid stuff’ (paraphrasing) and look, I’m not saying you can’t set your own limits and boundaries for things like true crime or lost media, but you can’t act like the term ‘lost media’ hasn’t always included things like the Timothy Treadwell audio, the Christine Chubbuck tape, etc etc.
You can always set your own limits of engagement but you can’t redefine genres based on your own comfort levels, sorry
I feel like I can tell I’m getting older because things I distinctly remember are now being treated like they didn’t happen 😂 like a bunch of comments were about how the morbid stuff is ‘infecting’ lost media and this is a new development and I was like sorry, I remember my first forays into lost media forums at least 15 years ago, on the family desktop computer, 100% also including morbid content

Just like the kids
I've been navigating my way
Through the mind-numbing reality of a godless existence
Which, at this point in my hollow and vapid life
Has erased what little ambition I've got left

If your partner doesn’t ask if they could taxidermy some of your body parts after you die, is it really love?
