While writing the Hop Pop angst comic (sketching up) I had an idea for a Sashanne comic and had to draw that. It also gave me a Marcanne and a Sasharcy comic idea similar to this, so keep an eye out for those in the near future along with the angst comic. This is when the trio is dating and basically their first/earliest kiss in that relationship

Braly did a recent interview with Medium with Darya Baj. One thing addressed is why Sasha and Marcy's parents didn't show up with him saying they were already reaching max capacity on characters and story elements that they didn't think there'd be time to properly give their parents time and pay off in a satisfying way, preferring to be "less of" and leave them to viewer imaginations, and not being important Sasha/Marcy's arcs like Bee and Oum were for Anne. How's that explanation he gave?

So, I have a few responses to this.

"Reach max capacity on characters" ... Really Matt? So you're seriously telling me that Ned, Molly Jo and Human Hop Pop were more important than the parents of Anne's best friends and two teenage girls that were still missing. Brilliant storytelling decision there dude.

On the subject of wanting to leave them to the viewer's imagination, I think that was actually a really bad call, especially for the Wus. The whole point of Marcy's arc was to show that her wanting to trap herself and her friends in another dimension was a bad thing. Thing is, after True Colors many fans were asking "just how bad is Marcy's home life if she was seriously okay with never seeing her parents again?" What we briefly heard of Marcy's parents didn't help; her father in particular was shown not in the best light, what with his response to his daughter running crying out of the house being to sternly order her back inside. Many fans headcanoned Marcy's parents being abusive or neglectful, lending credence to the idea that Marcy was in the right to escape to Amphibia. By not giving us more depth to the Wu's, Matt unintentionally gave Marcy a possible excuse for her actions, which is a major detriment to the overall story about how change is needed for growth and resisting change only leads to rouble.

On the subject of them not being important for Sasha/Marcy's arcs I also disagree; giving us glimpses into their families could have given Sasha and Marcy more depth without excusing their actions, the same way showing Aldrick didn't excuse Andrias's villainy but did give him more depth. Let me use the Wu's again for example: let's say that Marcy's parents do love their daughter, but are emotionally distant. They'll push her to study hard so she can have a bright future, but don't really know how to connect with her on the things that she enjoys like video games and books and movies. Seeing this for ourselves could have given us more insight into why Marcy was so desperate not to move away from Anne and Sasha; as flawed as their friendship was, she could actually be herself around them.

Ultimately this new interview hasn't changed my mind: I still think it was a mistake not showing Sasha and Marcy's parents. It doesn't matter if it was a conscious choice, a bad writing decision made on purpose is still a bad writing decision.

RPers Sought via Discord

I am seeking canon x canon ships for fandoms via discord. This will be a 1x1 situation. I am happy to double! For my ships, please reach out for information as many are crack/unusual. I do tend to stick to MxF romances but if we're doubling up and one pair is MxF, I'm open to adding a same-sex pair. When I double, I use a word counter to make sure posts are equal. I don't require this of my partners as long as they look similar in effort. Should favoritism begin to appear, I'll express concerns but if it happens often, I'm going to end the RP.

My posts tend to be several paragraphs (I guess the term might be novella or advanced literate) in third person, past tense. When on Discord, it's not unusual to take a few messages to complete my post but I do indicate with a (c or cont) if it's continued and end with an (end) to indicate that it's all complete. Due to post sizes being lengthy, I tend to give about 2-3 posts a week. Often more but I would say that's a pace I'm happy with getting from a partner. We all have lives. I'm not going to hound anyone to post unless it's been like, a month. People get busy or bored. It happens. That said, I love a lively OOC where we get to know one another and converse freely even if posts come at a slower pace. I'd rather hear about disinterest and work to fix it, than have resentment or complacency build behind the scenes.

NSFW stuff is bound to happen within moderation and with proper development. My RPs are very gradual, slow burn. I'm in this for the long haul and I expect my partner to be as well. Communication ensures longevity and interest.

Sansa Stark

How I feel about this character: She's my favourite character, not only from asoiaf/got, but the love I have for her is only as big as the love I have for Marcy Wu (Amphibia) She's my precious angel and I need her to be happy and safe- Will die/kill for her

All the people I ship romantically with this character: Jeyne Poole! Sansaery is cute too and Elia Sand can bring an interesting dynamic- (From the universe)

My non-romantic OTP for this character: Platonic! Jeyne Poole and Beth Cassell, Shae (She deserves so much better) and always down for Arya and Sansa chilling and living their best lives (Stark sisters>>>) Lady deserved so much better. I wish we could have seen more of her relationship with Cat, bc she's always looking at her and Cat just love her (all her children, but you get it) so much she did everything for them. Mya and Randa are her gay moms (I'll just ignore canon)- Show! Theon and Show!Sansa are very important to me too

My unpopular opinion about this character: She isn't a villain (you haven't understood anything if that's what you think) and she was never annoying or a brat (My parents wish I was half-kind and obedient as her when I was younger). I loved her in her first chapter- I've never found Sansa (book or show) ambitious? Don't get me wrong, I think ambition is a good thing, I love ambitious character but Sansa's goal was 1) Live her song (can't blame her, she was 11 yo, was going to marry the prince) 2) Keep her family and the land her brother(s) and mother died for free. Wanting to be queen has never been about the power- And the power has always been about being safe, not a out being over others

One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon: Uh, a break? Happinnes? In my perfect world Lady lives- Anyway, please, let her reunite with Jeyne and her siblings (And if she gets a crown with Jeyne as her "favourite" aka love of her life better!)

my cross over ship:... Give some time and I'll explain why Marcy and Sansa would be a great ship (they are my faves, they deserve happiness, historic-literature nerds... Betrayed by parental figures who are monarchs)

a headcanon fact: She used to write her own novels and songs and shared them with Jeyne and Beth- When she's older she returns to writing, as a remind to have hope and faith. The relationship between the North, The Riverlands and the Vale growns under her reign- Sharing clothes, culture and gastronomy- Basically a new era starts with the independe of the queendoms- One of arts and peace and hope. Just like Ned did, she made statues for Robb and her mother (even if their bones never return). She and Arianne, princess ruler of Dorne, start a friendship and help each other lands.

Amphibia Season 3a ranking Part 1

The New Normal 3/10

Yeah there's no hiding my dislike for this one, after 5 months of waiting the first episode after True Colors will give you whiplash in just how little there is to give a fuck about, after the heartbreaking season 2 finale they one is so desperate to go back to comedy it damages the rest of the season, points go to Anne just saying Marcy's gotta be okay because she just has to be.

Hop Till you Drop 9/10

A comedy episode but honestly it's a funny one and pretty much is what the season could be if they actually did focus on Comedy instead of comedy substitute.

Turning Point 6/10

The only Sasha episode this point and it feels like they really want to redeem her, Sasha worked in previous episodes as a negative for Anne but this is all that it takes for her to change? It's fun but there should have been another Sasha episode this season.

Thai feud 5/10

Sprig becomes a lot more obnoxious this season, I mean he's always kind of like that but this is just kind of bleh, I do like Ned but I have such a problem with him being so cool with seeing a girl he's know for years come back and is "oh your not dead" fucker a missing girl came back that's a miracle right there.

Adventures in Cat-sitting 8/10

See again you can still do comedy episode but this right here is a good one with a genuine emotional moment between Mr Boonchuy and the Plantars. Season 3 needed more of these.

Fight at the museum 6/10

Okay so two problems where, one I get that Anne is suppose to be making bad decisions because of a lack of sleep but man could you not have the bad decision involve doing the shit that got her stuck in Amphibia in the first place and secondly Jan is the ultimate example of character that annoy me this season, shes bland, the opposite of characters from Wartwood. It's unfair for me to judge this character from one apprence but honestly she's just not that fun, the fight with Assbot was fun.

Temple Frogs 5/10

This is a episode I'm generally conflicted about, on one hand I like how it shows the message of how a good community can help people during hard times, and the Plantars enjoying Thai culture. Problem is that well Marcy has been stabbed, Sasha fighting a robot army and their parents don't know anything about it. This episode is fine buts the first one you could cut for more pressing matters.

Fixing Frobo 1/10

Frobo getting fixed is more important then discussing what happened in True Colors fuck this.

Anne-sterminator 7/10

I haven't really mentioned Ass-bot that much but that's because well these aren't that indepth, but it's amazing how one robot can be more like ale than Frobo and how kind of sad his death is, only doing his job and is being punished by a king only because Andrais is an idiot. But credit where its due the Boonchuys discover what happened and Anne finally admits that she's having problems with what to do next

The problem with these amphibia stakes is that the betrayals haven't landed since season1 because Sasha wasn't even responsible for King Andreas getting the box. They would have given it to him anyway! They even articulated this!!!

Hello there. Hey, i saw your new Amphibia headcanon art on deviantart. It looks amazing, well done! Can i share my headcanon, please? I kinda think that Maggie had since stopped bullying Anne once the trio returned to Earth. Also, she started to love Thai culture. Seems like in the future, she often goes to Thai Go to have lunch. But, thats just my idea. Also, you're an amazing artist!

I could see her not only stop bullying Anne (mostly cause she doesn’t know if Anne still has those powers and after being tossed around the city and defeating a giant robot, d’ya really want to take ur chances?) but also at least trying out Thai food and ending up like Ned in liking it. Probably had a summer job helping Ned deliver and still often goes there now 10 years later.
