Ok, just a cat ramble

So, my cat gonna be neutered this tuesday and I'm really intrigued about how people don't neuter their female cats! And it's not even cause of the classic (but important) motives like health benefits and avoiding surprise kittens... But I really can't imagine someone having the patience to put with a cat in heat every few weeks!

I swear it's like evolution picked by hand the most annoying behaviours to put in a cat in heat: overly clingy, peeing where it shouldn't, being noisy all the time but specially at night and early morning... I swear, if I was someone with no self control I would have kicked her in the wall! And you know how much time I had to rest between heats? 2 weeks! I couldn't handle my cat being like that every 2 weeks for more or less 10 years! I would end giving the cat away or tossed myself from the apartment window!

Anyways, just a lil ramble! Thank you vets, thank you neutering! I love my cat but when she is acting normal! I really couldn't handle this every 2 weeks...

I feel like shit

This is a personal rant but fucking hell it's type it or scream it and at least on here I know someone will actually take in what I say if they bother to read it.

Since we got our kittens we've known and intended to have them neutered. So when I had the mental energy and was finally secure again in my funds, I booked them in.

It's booked for tomorrow morning, so when last thurs I learnt one of them climbs on the counters in the kitchen now I panicked over denying their access to food, and got told clearing it all away was impossible so decided that while we usually shut them in the kitchen we'd just shut them out of it for the night.

Mum got home after they needed to be being starved and kept in, complained over the shut door (can't argue, getting bikes through the house is hell cause she just dumps all her stuff on the floor of the entryway without a door being shut on top of that.)

suddenly the entire fucking kitchen has been cleaned, most things the cats would try to eat cleaned up and put out of their way in like half an hour

completely fucking impossible task there right?

And hey I get to listen to her baby talking the cats not so subtly blaming me for them not being allowed food cause even without my door shut she's loud and doesn't give a damn to listen to my attempts at planning this ahead of time.

We should never have gotten the kittens. I love them, and would not give them up now, but this is a death threat more than a house thanks to her and she refuses to take any responsibility for it.

I have 2 rooms, and have to pay for every fucking thing, if not directly, eg the vets bills, or indirectly, meaning I give her over half my income every fucking month

Oh and this is brilliant, she's sorting her breakfast out as if it's impossible for a cat to knock a plate off a bowl that's left on the counter overnight.

When are belladonna berries in season again? I think I need to steal some from the local country park. they'll blend in with her oats, berries and yogurt right?

Honestly I will say as worried as I was about getting my kittens neutered and spayed (never enough to not do it. I just play too many ttrpgs and sees less than 1% death rate and am like, well I have seen multiple triple nat 1s. They were fine my brain just doesn't like being told odds) but cat crime I'm my flat have been down considerably since they got their little cones and suit. This is because Ada can no longer jump as high in her suit and peep cannot use his head to steal stuff. They are still trying though...
