Okay, okay, hear me out:

Spy x Family AU, except Marinette is Loid & Adrien is Yor.

Marinette & Loid both have this alternate self that is very calculative & has the urge to plan out every possible outcome of a situation so they're not caught off guard. Not to mention that both of them have this very strong sense of justice and, each in their own way, are trying to make the world around them a better & safer place. However, both of them also have this other side that is gentle and kind and, essentially, a softy (though this shows more in Marinette bc, well, she hasn't been through the things Loid has been).

Then we have Adrien, who, like Yor, is outwardly sweet & cheerful and doesn't have a clue what to do with Life (TM). But he also has a dark & deadly side, which makes him absolutely consider dirtying his hands if he thought he was protecting the ppl he loves (*cough* derrision *cough*). I can totally see him become an assassin if it was the only thing he could do to protect his loved ones & bring food to the table, esp if he was taught to do that from a young age.

Also, some of my other headcanons for this AU (and pls beware of possible spoilers for sxf if u aren't caught up or want to watch):

- Emma would be Anya, obv, and like Anya, she has telepathic powers and can read her parents' minds. (Side note: I was considering making Emma a creation of the peacock miraculous & for that to be the reason she has her telepathy powers, but then I realized the miraculous existing in this AU might not make much sense, so I'm putting it on the backburner. If anybody wants to explore that, though, be my guest!)

- The plushy u see in Emma's hands in my drawing is Tikki, which is the equivalent of Mr. Chimera in the anime (however, alternatively, The Handler could be Tikki & in turn, The Shopkeeper could be Plagg. But going with my initial idea...)

- The cat in the picture, then, would be Plagg, who is the equivalent of Bond. However, unlike Bond, Plagg is a little shit & he knows it & therefore gives Marinette a lot of grief. But he's very cute when he wants to be, and Emma is very set on keeping him, so Marinette resorts to silent psychological warfare with him. Surprisingly, Plagg is pretty chill when it comes to Adrien to everyone's surprise.

- Just like Bond, Plagg also has psychic powers. However, I can just see him hissing in annoyance everytime a vision pops up. :D

- Adrien is secretly an assassin who exterminates traitors with his special dagger(s) that he calls 'Cataclysm'.

- Marinette is a spy who is tasked with getting close to her target, Chloe Bourgeois. She has a customized gun that she prefers to use that she calls her 'lucky charm'.

- Also, the same as the anime, Marinette's agent name is 'Ladybug' & Adrien's is 'Chat Noir'.

- Chloe is Marinette's target (I know Desmond & Gabriel are crazy similar, but I think it'd be pretty weird to have Gabe & Adrien in the same universe & for them to not be related).

- Chloe has 2 children: a twin son & daughter who r attending the same prestigious school. The daughter (which I haven't chosen a name for) is the equivalent of Becky & the son (which I also don't know the name of) is the equivalent of Damian.

- Chloe's daughter lives with her father (who I imagine is Luka bc it's a guilty ship of mine, but eh), but she also pays for her child support and education, so her daughter was raised like a princess and therefore has the same princess tendencies as Becky.

- Chloe's son is still pretty much the same as Damian, so not much to add there. (Yes, exactly like Damian. If you know, you know :) )

- Lastly, I will leave you with this out of pocket notion: Felix as Yuri and Kagami as Fiona (and yes, I very much ship them, even in this AU :) )

Fanfiction Prompt

Kuro Neko au where, when trying to trick Marinette into letting him take the ring back to Adrien under a new guise, Plagg accidentally lets slip some of how his holder is actually feeling. Marinette bribes the real story out of the kwami and is horrified by her partner's self-worth issues, so she decides on a better plan: they'll become Lady Noir and Mister Bug again for a while. Hopefully intrusive thoughts about not being needed will be easier to counter when the Ladybug is absolutely pivotal to every battle, and Tikki's more supportive style might be good for him to get a taste of until the kids can repair their partnership. But. Tikki: If you ever even think of leaving my Miraculous on a random rooftop instead of just telling your partner how you feel, you will find out why Plagg is afraid of me and not the other way around. (Plagg has mixed feelings about how things turned out. On the one hand Marinette spoils him with love, attention, and cheesy pastries, she's a lot more chaotic than Adrien, and she's fun to tease. He also still gets to spy on his kid at school, and he can see the progress Adrien is making. On the other hand Marinette has much higher expectations for him than Adrien did... and all the other kwamis clamoring around is both a blessing and a curse.)

If the Dolls somehow made it to bigfatbreak's Viceroy AU, what do you think they would do?

Well, I wouldn't want to deviate too much from @bigfatbreak's au, so given the circumstances of the AU and Adrien's lack of knowledge that Marinette is Ladybug, the wish would either have to have been made pre-Mama's Day and reveal or Adrien lost his memories of Chaton and coparenting with Marinette. Or alternatively the dolls were just messing around and end up in an alternate reality and just decide to fix things as they come across them.

With that said, Chaton and Littlebug wouldn't know what happened or why the world changed, but they would still find their way to their respective parents and their new circumstances.

Chaton would go to the bakery and find Grand Mama is gone and Mama is sad and the butter-lies are everywhere. Grand Papa catches Chaton immediately. Tom for his part is initially wary, but thanks to his use of the Butterfly Miraculous, he can talk with Chaton and sense his emotions. A bit surprised that a doll has emotions, and even more surprised to find out the doll cares so much about Marinette. With the empathy powers of the Butterfly and the information from Nooroo and Chaton himself, Tom realizes Chaton carried over from the previous timeline and was created based on the Chat Noir hero. Much like Nooroo, Tom has Chaton stay with Marinette to keep her company and keep her safe. Chaton is happy about this since it means he can be with Mama still, even if she is different. Marinette is surprised with this, but hey, she's already met Nooroo and knows magic is real. Plus Chaton is too cute to be scared of.

Littlebug goes to Adrien. She is relieved Adrien is okay and Adrien in turn is relieved Littlebug at least is still around in this new crazy world. Littlebug is confused as to the changes. Seeing Adrien's mother is alive when Chaton tells her that Marinette's mother isn't. She finds this change unfavorable especially as she learns more about Emilie and comes to be increasingly disappointed in the mother Adrien had spoken to her so much about. Not helped by the fact that she still very much dislikes Gabriel and becomes even more suspicious of him. She stays hidden as much as possible and doesn't risk letting Gabriel find her, even when she's pretending to be a toy (especially important as Ladybug isn't a thing here in this timeline).

...of course, that's not to say she doesn't mess with him. Gabriel still finds himself the subject of a number of unpleasant happenstances when it's most inconvenient for him.

When Adrien starts regularly going to the bakery and spending time with Marinette, Littlebug goes with him. This naturally leads her to 1) reunite with Chaton and 2) discover Tom has the Butterfly Miraculous. Yes, he finds her just like he found Chaton by sensing her presence with the Butterfly Miraculous, but make no mistake: she finds him first.

She isn't sure what to think about him using the Butterfly Miraculous, but he isn't Hawk Moth, isn't mean to Nooroo, and has not nor intends to hurt Adrien or Marinette. Not to mention that when Tom (being able to sense Littlebug's emotions and her fierce protectiveness) outright informs her of Hawk Moth targeting Marinette and his plans to track him down....yeaaah, Littlebug is ALL on board with that. She agrees to helping him. Uses the time Adrien comes by to visit with Chaton but also plan with Tom and let him know anything she knows or remembers or finds out. She helps him spy on Gabriel in particular, since in her mind if ANYONE is stinky enough to be Hawk Moth, it's him.

Littlebug and Chaton would have full memories of the previous timeline. They would know each other and about Marinette and Adrien being Ladybug and Chat Noir. Sadly, they wouldn't know that Gabriel is Hawk Moth otherwise things would be resolved very quickly as Chaton would tell Tom about him right away and Littlebug would enact ALL. UNHOLY. VENGEANCE upon him before Tom even gets a chance to.

Then there's Chaton. He's a good boy, so he's never far from Marinette and helps her any way he can. It's hard because she's sad and working too much so often, but he does his best! And it's strange being around the not-quite-Butter-lies (Fairies?), but they're nice and friendly so he doesn't eat them, which Nooroo quite appreciates. Despite the changes, Chaton would be happy here.

.....if only the mean whispies would go away.

He can see them. See them and feel them. Dark icky things that twist and coil and attach to Mama. He thinks at first they're what's making her sad. But then they attack his Mama at certain times. He doesn't know why, but he doesn't like it. So he bats the whispies away if he can.

....sometimes that means the whispies hurt him instead.

He doesn't like them.

He. Doesn't. Like. Them.

He can push at them to help Mama breathe, but he can't fight them off. Not entirely. He tries though! He's a good boy! But it's hard. And it hurts. And he gets tired more easily because Mama doesn't have the Pinkling.

Grand Papa is different here. He doesn't know about the whispies but seems to understand when Chaton tries to tell him. All Chaton knows is that the whispies are hurting Mama and were caused by the past Hawk Moth. Grand Papa is trying to find him to make the whispies stop.

Grand Papa is better than Meanie Moth. He listens to Chaton. And Littlebug seems to like him, too! So Chaton will trust Grand Papa to stop Meanie Moth. He will protect Mama in the meantime.

And when Chaton gets tired or is feeling hurt, Mama and the Fairies help him feel better.

But that's okay! He's a good boy and he'll take it so Mama doesn't have to.

...

Ultimately, the dolls try to help the best way they can.

Chaton by protecting Marinette.

Littlebug by finding the one responsible and making him pay.

Spoiler warning: Long rambly notes I took while watching season 3, disclaimer that a lot of this is just character moments/lines I found interesting and initial bones of an au idea for a burgeoning, extremely self indulgent slightly-darker-Alex in season 3 wip I’ve started.

Episode 3

Alex is SUCH a better spy this season than when he began even in the first few episodes prior to SCORPIA training he’s more careful and precise and the team feels better organised - he did so well on that boat I’m so proud of my baby

I’m actually enjoying Tom and Kyra fucking about more than I expected. Tom pulling Kyra together after the boat explosion suprised me by how emotive it was. But I do want them to.. go away. Alex should more isolated/desperate/have NO other choices than SCORPIA.

Everything in Malagosto seems so staged to just see how Alex will react to it all - here’s an unlocked door, here’s an Alex sized vent and a dead spot in the cameras, what are you gonna do about it? +Alex absolutely speaks French I think he’s just not giving that away yet

God Jones and the department is going THROUGH IT THIS SEASON, just suddenly surrounded by corpses

Julia : offers irrefutable proof, upsets him, then presses him to continue believing what he did before and belittling his objections - very subtle but more firm tone of voice, less motherly/accepting, very clear that the noose around Alex’s neck is always there.

She’s so delighted at the prospect of making Alex into the perfect soldier

I’m really glad they settled on Yassen NOT knowing about John - he twists it that John didn’t betray him bc he had nothing to gain from being kind to him, so it wasn’t false, but he is so 100% loyal to John, eager to twist any criticism. I do wish we’d seen more of their relationship, but expecting some Russian roulette bits was overly optimistic

“I know my place” he’s IMMEDIATELY off to rescue his boy (actually, where did he go? All of that last episode I was just WHAT ABOUT YASSEN? Was he just plotting a rescue that didn’t need to happen and waiting for his boy to show up?)

Dare I say… good for blunt? Stephen dillane is just so charming I can’t help but like him. And you see some flashes of his ruthlessness like when he talks to Greif but he’s not a 24/7 conniving monster. Also Jones in charge and Alex possibly (definitely) returning to spy work in a couple of years? I like that. Totally abandoning it would have felt unsatisfying.

Loved that moment on the roof - missed opportunity for them to awkwardly wave at each other, but I’m so happy I predicted wrongly and Yassen gets to live and walk away and put down his weapons. There’s so much space for how they can reconnect in that.

he's a lady's man just like og spoi, he is a young rogue with a calmer demeanor
