Covid-19, A Life ‘Locked-in’

The last few months since the lifting of restrictions in the UK has been difficult for me, impossible at times. My mental health has been up and down.

There is no getting away from a life, which is now compounded by the fact that I am unable to find a way forward, living with a physical, mental, and emotional disability, and being under ‘lock and key’ with a virus, which is being ignored.

Whilst you may think I’m being melodramatic and that I can choose the life I live, the fact is I am high risk, vulnerable and anything else would be a gamble too far, one which I may not win.

The virus isn’t gone, and not talking about it doesn’t just make it disappear. Also, the vaccines aren’t the panacea vaccine we were told they were initially, and with a compromised immunity, and with no data on how I might fare taking the vaccine, it wasn’t something I was able to reconcile, or do.

Whilst the facts I write about may not be popular, they are what I call the ‘universal facts’ which are based on ‘all of our truths’ that we can ignore, but shouldn’t, because it alleviates hardships, makes life easier, and it’s the right thing to do.

With all lifting restrictions, the UK government has let me down, but it’s not just me they have left down. There are groups of people, in their thousands, who like me, are also high risk and vulnerable, and who have also been let down, left in a permanent stupor, and who are now ‘hemmed in’ for fear of catching the virus, or people who simply don't want to risk catching the virus. It's time to wake up.

Also, drawing comparisons here for people with mental disorders who were institutionalised in the 50’s and 60’s by the UK government. Unless I am missing something and happy to stand corrected, this is exactly what it is. Not a great scenario, for all those like me who are on the receiving end of a government that only cares about itself.

Social media has become a resource, a talking point for us to talk about how we feel, to get our thoughts out there, not only on the pandemic’s handling, but the political landscape and choices that are both interfering and affecting us.

My blog is also a talking point for those struggling, or feel they’re not being listened to, or if you’re looking for a tool, something tangible, that you can pick up and hold you can also take a look at ‘Spirituality, Healing and Me.’

A tool like no other that can help you to move forward. Based on ‘universal understanding’ it can help shift your thought process in these difficult times.

So... this happened! #freedomconvoy2022 #convoytoronto It was extremely peaceful, don't let anyone tell you otherwise.. the only person who was rude was some random guy walking his dog i said beautiful dog, as I usually do, and he told me to GET LOST.. otherwise nothing but peace, love and happiness! Essential reading before you go to the polls on Thurs 12th Dec. If you know people who do or you work in the NHS yourself you will know the strain but this is shocking! How dare Boris and his government do this to these people all for political posturing. Painting walls, making cleaners pick up leaves, hiding dirty laundry, removing a consultant who will not allow the PM in the ward and blackmailing a hospital into agreeing to let Boris visit by granting funding they have requested for five years with a snap of their fingers.
