can't stop fucking thinking about sun/moon shuggy bc shanks is the sun always and buggy is forever the moon. buggy will never be the sun, he will never shine as brilliantly as shanks or anyone else. and the moon makes no light of it's own!!!! it only shines bc the sun's light reflects off of it!!!! buggy never shines by himself!!! he will never make his own light!!! buggy who is always second best, shining only from the light shanks gives him. even worse, you only ever see half of the moon illuminated at one time!!!! shanks who gives buggy the light he needs to shine but only for certain parts of buggy!!!! never all of him!!!!! buggy never shines fully and he never will bc buggy is the moon, he isn't a star or a comet or a meteor, he's a moon and moons don't shine by themselves. and buggy who devotes himself to shanks bc he wants to shine, by god he wants it so badly he aches somedays, but shanks is the golden child, shining with splendor, and buggy knows when to stop fighting a losing battle. he sticks around for years drawn in by the gravity of shanks' orbit until loguetown, and as his captain's head hits the ground, buggy feels himself splinter into thousands of little meteoroids. he leaves shanks standing in the rain and thinks to himself, i will shine by myself or i will die trying

About Rlain x Renarin future relationship

I'm so excited to see scenes of Rlain and Renarin in SA5! I can't stop thinking about them lately.

I want to see how they realize about their romantic feelings for each other, their doubts, insecurities, how they will declare their love for each other, etc. I think it will be something very beautiful. Also, since this is the first time we are going to see a homosexual relationship between two important characters in a Sanderson book, I'm very curious to know how the author will handle it in the story. Sometimes Sanderson isn't very good at writing romance, but there are some really well-written relationships in his stories! Like Susebron x Siri, Dalinar x Navani, Adolin x Shallan, Wax x Steris… so I think he will do a good job.

Besides! It will be the first time we see a romantic relationship between a listener/singer and a human! That will surely be a scandal in Alethi society and for the singers society as well. I'd like to see if the other characters are able to accept it, how they will treat them, and if they have problems, how Rlain and Renarin will confront them to defend their love and will be one of the definitive proofs that the collaboration between both races is possible, helping both peoples to alienate each other in one.

They both have a lot in common being reserved people, sometimes pushed aside as weirdos by others, and they're both now Truthwatchers, so there's a lot of potential there to explore here, in how much they're able to understand each other. Not to mention that they've already a solid friendship as members of Bridge 4, which will make their future relationship develop a stronger bond.

I'd love to see a scene in later books of Renarin learning the rhythms so he can show his feelings of love through songs and sounds and to undertand the way singers comunicate their feelings, and Rlain also showing affection intimately in ways they can both feel comfortable. From what we've seen so far, they seem to be a couple who could have such a great emotional connection that they would be able to understand each other without the need for words and even show each other affection without too much carnal need. I think all this could be very interesting.

And another important fact! Renarin is supposed to be the main POV in book 7, after the 10 year time skip, so if Rlain survives (pls!) that means we could read romantic scenes of them already being mature adults, and probably married! And we can also get more scenes about them in flashbacks! I really want to see all this. If they are written well they have the potential to be one of the best couples in the Cosmere, and oh I can't wait to see it!

You got a character based off of Frollo, Rollo, the OG consumed-by-lust-freak, you got Malleus who couldn’t be happier that you’re tagging along to Noble Bell College, throw in the fact Rollo seems to acknowledge MC as an admirable person paired with his hate-crush on Malleus, who gets to spend time with you, add a bunch of jealousy on both ends, and it’s perfect.

That is to say, I’d feel better writing out the scenario once we have a grasp on why Rollo seems to hold Malleus with contempt(?), but you can bet that I am staring at this event with eyes wide open. 👀👀

Living Children Yet Undead Soldiers

Oh man what a title!! So much potential! It would work so well with a pure DC fic, exploring death and the Robins - possibly through a Jason Todd pov (I mean he just really lends himself to this, doesn't he, can you just imagine the angst?????) but they must be a dime a dozen and idk if I could ever give that any justice

AND! As we all know, my brain rot rn is solidly dpxdc, so I'm afraid that's where I'm taking this title 😅

I'm thinking: older Danny, mid-to-late 20s, established Ghost King, but retired Phantom - he's still fresh enough to remember the pain/anger/hurt that comes with being a child hero, as well as the incredible fulfilment and happiness and sense of achievement, of making a difference, too. He has both sides of this, he knows what it's like, so when he meets the batfam for dinner (is it a Grayson brother situation like @tumbling-darkling 's fic? That'd be cool), he watches as each of them files in and becomes more and more agitated as he realises that most of them have died. He's not stupid, he knows who they are and he knows how dangerous the hero game is - and at least they've been resurrected without any lasting damage. They're not even that liminal! But still...

Things come to a head when Jason walks in and he's like oh fuck, he's halfway to a ghost himself and he doesn’t even know it - and he can't hold himself back any more. It's no longer about making sure these kids don't get hurt again, now it's about making sure these kids know the consequences of what they're doing, making sure that Batman isn't taking advantage of their youth and naivety, making sure that they're all okay after the truly harrowing ordeal of dying.

Because Danny knows. He knows how hard all of it is, how the crushing weight of responsibility sits heavy on your shoulders. How it feels to fail.

If he's being brought into this family, he will not stand seeing them all thrust into danger - he won't take their alter-egos away from any of them, that won't help, but he won't sit by and say nothing. He can't.

This is his first meeting with the batfam and everyone's nervous: they can tell he's anxious, angry, he's gripping the silverware too tight, breathing hard through his nose. Everyone's on their best behaviour, trying to make a good impression for Dick’s sake, but they're already messing this up?

And then Jason walks in, followed by Damian, who can't be any older than when Danny himself died, and that's it. That's enough.

Danny slams his knife and fork down and turns to Bruce, nostrils flaring and barely concealed anger on his face. "Bruce, do you mind if I have a quick talk with the kids in private?"

He forces a smile on his face, takes a deep breath to relax, but it barely softens his expression at all. "Nothing to worry about, just want to introduce myself properly and I'd prefer to do that sibling to sibling, you know how it is. Please."

Bruce doesn't want to leave. At all. Something is off and he doesn't like it - if he can't be privy to this conversation then it's not happening. Do you think he's stupid? He's not leaving his kids in the hands of someone he hasn't met properly, someone who is definitely agitated, and is definitely hiding something.

Either he leaves after some reassurances from Dick, or Danny says "Fuck it, fine, I'll do this here and now. I wanted to be discreet, but fuck it - I know who you all are and frankly, fuck you, Bruce."

Cue angry, righteous rant about death and responsibility and how disgraceful it is to manipulate children into becoming soldiers in Batman's own quest for justice.

"They're children, Bruce. They don't deserve to face death every single night and as much as they think they are, they're not invincible. One day one of them will die, truly die, and they won't come back from it. What will you do then?"

Oh man this really got away from me, I really enjoyed this title 😅😅 I'm going to leave it there partly because idk how it would end and also partly because this is now long as fuck haha
