Alright, here's the last piece of art I currently have done, and not gonna lie I'm pretty proud of it. ^^ When the excerpt for Wind came out a few days ago, I was inspired to draw this scene from it, so here it is. :D

Here we have Frostpaw glaring up at Splashtail, her eyes glitteirng with starlight and the true light of StarClan's blessing, angry and hurt but more than anything determined to keep this cat from hurting her Clan any longer. The scar from Splashtail's attempt on her life is prominently displayed on her throat as she lifts her head to face him. Nightheart and Sunbeam, not as invigorated with the certainty of StarClan's guidance, more weary and worried, but still ready to be there for Frostpaw (well Nightheart is since he's her friend, Sunbeam barely knows her yet and doesn't really know what's going on and is more confused and worried, but if this Splashtail is a threat then she'll absolutely face that threat beside her mate and his friend). Splashtail, meanwhile, knows he has the Clans convinced and that Frostpaw is powerless to stop him from finally taking over RiverClan, and while keeping his composure in front of the Clans, the slight shift of expression, the glint in his eyes and the way his moonlight form thrown into shadow throws its vast shadow over the cats huddled in worried but determined defiance below, shows the true darkness in his heart.

I'm super, SUPER proud of how this turned out. :D Especially the bottom half of the image with Splashtail in the tree. I love how the tree turned out, the perspective, the lighting, the texture, Splashtail himself, his pose, his shading, the glint in his eyes. It just turned out so freaking *good*, I love it so much. :D The bottom half isn't quite as good, I'm really happy with how Frostpaw turned out but Nightheart and Sunbeam still seem a bit off, but oh well. Overall I'm still really proud of how the whole thing turned out. :D

Luffy -

● goes all out for you

● birthdays are his favorite thing to celebrate

● he decorates the ship with anything festive he can find

● makes the day all about you

● telling everyone you meet on whatever island you are docked at that it's your birthday

● and he makes all the strawhats sing you happy birthday over cake (that Sanji made but Luffy put the candles in so he helped)

Nami -

● navigates the ship to an island that is known for being super touristy

● saved up money to spend on all the cheesy activities they have available

● it may not be her idea of fun but she's just happy to see you happy

● pays the maitre d at the fanciest restaurant on the island to pretend like you guys have a reservation

● and you get a very expensive meal that even Sanji would be jealous of

Sanji -

● wakes you up with breakfast in bed

● he thinks birthdays are best spent being lazy and not doing anything

● insists on a birthday nap

● maybe more than one birthday nap

● has a very elegant dinner and desert planned that smells so good he made Luffy and Usopp get off the ship so they wouldn't be tempted to steal some

Zoro -

● very casual about birthdays

● doesn't go overboard but still sentimental

● he gets you a really personal gift

● the others would make fun of him for being so soft so he gives it to you in private

● and he plans a day out with the crew so you'd feel special surrounded by your friends

Usopp -

● the best gift giver (well maybe not the best exactly but surely the most enthusiastic gift giver)

● he's been planning your gift for months collecting supplies from all the islands you've visited finally putting it all together

● “ta-da!” he says doing the big reveal

● you don't totally know what it is but you can tell he is so proud of how hard he worked on it so you light up and tell him it's perfect

Shanks -

● has a romantic day planned

● makes a picnic to eat on the shore while watching the waves

● then you go out on his rowboat and swim in the ocean

● he brings you back for some drinks and a candlelit dinner at the bar which he convinced Ririka to shut down for the night

● overall just a really nice and relaxing day

Buggy -

● pretends he forgot

● Literally goes all day without saying anything to you

● you guys are walking back to the performance tent and he says “I feel like I'm forgetting something today”

● “are you serious Buggy??”

● he just grins and opens the door to the tent and it's a huge party for you

● “you didn't think I'd really forget do you? I would never pass up an opportunity for a party”

Mihawk -

● actually forgets

● but to be fair he doesn't really care about birthdays to begin with

● he couldn't even tell you his own birthday

● but he doesn't want you to feel like he doesn't care about your feelings so as soon as it gets mentioned he goes out and gets you flowers and a simple gift

ooh i have a few!

my faces really improved this year! i brushed up on my fundamentals and they look much more 'solid' now :D

as for overall pieces i get very critical of anything i post almost immediately but all of these were favs at some point for various reasons.

i also really liked this animation i just made recently! it's not the most impressive thing in the world and i already see so many things i can improve on but i have a rocky relationship with animation and i'm proud of myself for being able to study it again and picking up a new program (hell experience).

Real Oddity's 2023 Art

Hello hello, gay people in my computer, it's that time again! Time to look at my art over this year! Feel free to look at 12 pieces that I did throughout the year. Enjoy :D!!

January- Fluffybird hyperfixation was in FULL SWING, WOW! I was in a really good groove early in the year, and was getting a lot of nice work done, including these idiots! I've changed how I draw these boys, but I still really like the shading for the most part! Generally holds up well. The background is pretty cool, too! I drew it myself :]

February- Luz Noceda my beloved! The Owl House was my favorite show for a while and still means a lot to me, so I felt like drawing Luz! Overall not very happy with this piece, like the shading, and also the nose, but I love the tears and eyes :D! Also hey those weird funky angular hands I used to draw, what ever happened to those-

March- BALDI!!!!! I was such an indie horror kid, man, so when I found out I had like. 12 hours to get a drawing done for Baldi's anniversary, I fucking jumped at the chance. I'm proud of that fact, but yeesh that shading is a little gross color wise. Also I could not draw lips, ears, or noses. I still can't, but I'm better at it!

April- oh god not them- So I was into Homestuck for a bit lol. I haven't finished it, and don't know if I will, but that's beside the point! Honestly this piece still holds up! For a colored sketch, I still like it a lot, especially Whimsy's hands. Dieonn's chin though... god you can tell I'm ass at perspective-

May- Oh my goodness, it's Wally Darling! He's just the most~ This was a practice in perspective, which as mentioned before I'm not great at!. I think it came out well, and while the shading isn't realistic for a felt body, I still like it :]

June- Oh my goodness he's multiplying!!! Run, run! This was me still trying to wiggle into the Welcome Home fandom (and failing lol) This was also a practice in both just drawing Wally, and composition! I didn't do great, but hey, it was good practice.

July- Oh my gosh it's him... the birthday boy- So the Daycare Attendant stole my heart a few years back when I was really ill and recovering from some trauma, so I of course had to make something for Eclipse! I wanted to test painting, and honestly? I like it a lot, at least dirt wise. He looks so grimy, I love it, ah!! Still needs more work on the lighting, though.

August- God dammit he came back again >:[ I was getting excited for all the new fnaf stuff, so I decided to draw Springtrap, the animatronic that scarred me so much as a kid. I'm actually still pretty happy with the general lighting. Like, there are a few things I have notes on, but overall I still like it :] Also the wires were fun, hehe

September- Mr. Darling is back again! I decided to try my hand at digital painting again and!!! I am still really pleased with the results. Pretty man!

October- Oh god its The Horse Show- For Cringetober, I drew a rarepair of Rarity and Sassy Saddles from MLP:FIM. I'm still super super happy with the horse anatomy, they're so cute! This was also a test in cell shading.

November- Circus time! I thought the pairing of Jax and Kaufmo was kinda funny, so I drew them. This was another test in composition and such, and general interactions. I still think it's alright :]

December- JANUARY EVERLY MY BELOVED SON!!! God it's been a hot minute sense I've done any illustrations with Jan. This was me just dicking around tbh, but hey! The results are fun! I love my son <3

2023 was so much better than 2022 in many ways. I'm looking forward to an even better 2024, and I hope you'll join me!

This is much more… ex-art student orientated than character design/TSC/CS/ML orientated, I'm sorry! But it was quite nice to reflect on my uni degree and the body of work that I produced during that period of my life!

To make up for it, however, here are a couple of doods :D — a rather surly-looking Jack (wip; you can just about see Lucy in there too) and an adult!Fiera! (I need to update her design, this is just a prototype!)

Art programs you have but don’t use. Adobe Illustrator! I learnt to use it at uni (I studied Illustration and Design) but am much more disposed to Photoshop and Procreate.

A medium of art you don't work in but appreciate. Like a physical medium? Hmm… I’m going to say pastels. There are very few mediums I don’t work in (when I’m actually producing art, that is, lmao). I love oils, acrylics, charcoals. Pretty much everything. But pastels… I’ve never really taken the time to get to know them. Maybe I should!

What's an old project idea that you've lost interest in? During my final year of uni I wrote and illustrated my own children’s book. I am, to this day, quite proud of it and hope to one day finalise the illos. …Maybe. Possibly. I wouldn’t therefore say that I’ve “lost interest” in it, necessarily, but it’s certainly fallen to the wayside (it has after all been four years). 

A creator who you admire but whose work isn’t your thing. This is very tricky bc I’m hard pressed to think of any creators whose work isn’t “my thing”. If it’s artsy then I’m gonna enjoy it, no matter what! With that in mind (and if it’s okay?) I may have to amend this to, “a creator who you admire but whose work you could never emulate”, and that creator is Georgia Lowe (@georgialowpapercuts on insta). She makes the most sublime paper cut outs — stunningly intricate, extraordinarily delicate! I adore them! I’m not sure I could ever have the patience to make something that time-consuming.

*Where* do you draw (don't drop your ip address this just means do you doodle at a park or smth). In my flat. Typically while sitting (pretzel-like) on my sofa. I’m very boring! Although I have been known to take a sketchbook to the V&A or the Tate Britain, every once in awhile. Or on a walk around Hyde. It’s not a common occurrence, though. I don’t like to draw in public spaces lest someone ask to see what I’m working on! I’m extraordinarily shy about my work. 

An estimate of how many art supplies you’ve broken. Countless, lmao. I am a clumsy bean and shit happens. The most frustrating was when I tore a newly bought canvas. A very big canvas at that. Oh and when I dropped a bag full of chalks and charcoals — makes them so much harder to use! I also snapped a paintbrush once, because I didn’t realise how badly I was bending it while pouring over an exam piece. 

Something your art has been compared to that you were NOT inspired by. One of my editorial pieces was once likened to Escher's work, which — while enormously flattering — had not been my intention!

What piece of yours do you think is underrated. Looking back, there are several pieces I submitted as part of my overall body of coursework which I deeply disliked at the time (having been staring at them for months) but am now fairly fond of! One charcoal image of a horse, in particular, springeth to mind.

Gotta be 'Let's play a Game (Where we both lose)'. Because A) it's the most self indulgent thing ever, B) I'm really proud of a lot of the scenes and C) it's a plot bunny I had wanted to write for a while but never managed to.

fic that made me smile: sunnysuguwu on ao3's ZoSan fic Chef's Kiss. This fic is so fucking funny I could not stop smiling while reading it XD

fic that made me cry: foxglove on ao3's Sanji fic cast your burdens out to sea (give them to me). It's very dark and realistic, but it's written so goddamn well, I'm constantly amazed. They haven't finished it yet, but I'm still enjoying it. Warning: the fic is about sexual assault and it gets pretty graphic, so be aware of that. But if that's something that you can handle, I definitely recommend checking this fic out

overall thoughts: I wrote A LOT of fics this year, most of them for events. The Year of Marwan challenge kicked my butt a lot, but I'm really proud of the works I created for it; Thursday's Child was my favorite fic I wrote this year and I wrote it for the June prompt. The big downside was that I ended up hardly working on any of my WIPs (particularly Snowblind). A year ago I thought I'd have Somewhere in Time finished before the year was out but tbh I barely worked on it. That'll be my goal for 2024: to get that fic done! XD Frankly, I might say no to most events this year just because I want to get those WIPs done, but I also want to work on my original book. And in terms of fanfic, I really want to write some One Piece fic this year lol Anyway, here's to more Mickey Miranda fic and maybe some OP rarepair fics for 2024~

This is gift art for Razmerry, fanart of my favorite character from their Warriors fan comic "The Dog Star", Harestrike!

Harestrike is just such a fascinating character to me, until very recent events they only played a very small part in the main comic itself, but all of the side content released that went more into their backstory, their life, their time in the Dark Forest and role in StarClan, just made them so fascinating to me. They were right all along about StarClan being corrupt, but they took that right idea and used it as a cudgel to punish the Clans with, lashing out in hurt and anger under the guise of serving a noble cause. They suffered in the Dark Forest, then they suffered in StarClan serving under Applestar. They ended up serving the exact cause that they used to fight against, but even though in life they used their crusade against StarClan to lash out, they actually did believe in it and did hate StarClan for its corruption, and it was only the years of fear and suffering in the Dark Forest and the careful abusive control of Applestar that had Harestrike at her side as her lackey. But now, Harestrike has found the courage and the righteousness of realizing they were right about StarClan all along to strike back. They were right in life, but not good, and in the afterlife they suffered, and now after going through so much, I think they've finally found a right way forward, and a desire to finally put right all of these wrongs.

It was really this piece that made me become interested in the character, and made me predict their turn against Applestar years ahead of time (yes, I'm proud of myself for predicting that one, hush :P). Just something about the piece struck me, the balance between the dark and light parts of them, and their expression, it isn't straight regret, or anger or fear like we see from them in the comic so often. It's... intense, contemplative, serious and solemn and hard all at once. The way they regard their paws and the conflicting sides of themselves, I dunno. Its what really made me think there was more to this character than the comic had shown so far.

So when I realized this piece I was drawing, with the intense expression and the idea to show both the Dark Forest and StarClan sides to them, actually looked really similar to that piece, I decided to lean into it. I actually was going to have the Dark Forest and StarClan sides flipped, but changed it to resemble that piece more. XD The expression I drew was more just straight-up intense than contemplative like Razmerry's peice, but ah well, I just kinda wanted Harestrike staring piercingly at the camera, even though they're more of an anxious spiky disaster cat than a piercing-stare sort. :P

Harestrike here is surrounded by lavenders, with the one in front of them dripping blood, as a nod to the only cat Harestrike ever killed with their own paws, and the one whose murder served as a "point of no return", at least in life - their mentor, Lavenderwhisker.

Overall, I'm really, really happy with how this turned out. :D The lavenders aren't perfect, but I'm happy with the colors and overall look, and I'm really happy with how Harestrike turned out. Spiky oriental cats are fun to draw. ^^ I hope you like it Razmerry, and merry (late) Christmas! :D

As a bit of an update and to celebrate reaching 2000 followers on Twitter, I've decided to revamp all 4 (5) of my 'sonas, the ones whom I've collectively began calling "The Auteur Quartet". I'm also going to be drawing them digitally like i have Illia, since I kinda value cohesion over everything, but for now these phone sketches are pretty good at showing off what I want. The digital pieces will each show off their auras, just like Illia (along with their deity tool) so consider them the more "powered up" designs, while these ones will fulfill a more casual role. The descriptions for each will probably remain the same however. 

Here's Esther's areas of influence alongside her themes. -Color: Magenta -Theme: The Ocean -Sphere of Influence: Life -Realm of Creativity: Actions and Descriptions

When the Tools of Creation went into what is essentially stasis, they reverted into simplistic forms and scattered across the planet. Over time, their forms would unconsciously change to match the times and in the current age they took on the form of art tools. 4 separate people managed to find 'em and essentially took on their roles of "creating more and more universes" while the deities rested. Of course, there's the issue that besides the powerful weapons these 4 wield...they're still just regular humans with faults and flaws. Esther is a spunky, sporty gal with the unfortunate problem of being way too open emotionally, to the point that it scares other people off. She's the lucky finder of the eternal sword of scribes, Serif-im. It's a large, ornate sword with a twisted root handle and a blade stylized like a pen nib. With it, she can write descriptive words onto any surface and they apply to the object. She can also use it as a regular sword, with its edge never dulling no matter what. Alongside her sword, she does also have dominion over the concept of life itself, allowing her to control both flora and fauna...but due to her interests, she casually limits herself to mainly using water and ocean based powers.

Character Break Down: "Full Name": Esther Dulcinea Venturas Sexual Orientation: She's bisexual, but maaaaaaaan does she have bad luck with romance.  Age: 25 Birthday: December 4th Ethnicity: Pinoy-Australian. Her dad's the Australian one, but she uses her mom's last name because she likes it better. Her dad holds no ill will towards it and he agrees it fits more. 

Eye Color: Hazel, with a bead of green around her pupil. Hair Color: Chestnut, but it's not naturally that way. It's usually a lighter brown. Height: 5'7'' Weight: 171lbs Cup Size: D Cup, she's much more proud of her thicc thighs though.  Other Features: Her bangs cover the front of her eyes for some reason, just like Bianca. She loves wearing croptops, especially ruffled ones. Things with detached sleeves and the like are also big with her. When she grins super hard (its common), her eyes almost seem to just disappear under her bangs. Always wears magentas and browns, basically looks like a walking Valentines Day card. She plays up her cute genki girl attitude for maximum attraction. Absolutely loves things with bows. Her style seems to be a mish-mash of super girly stuff and casual wear. Like she'll wear a tank top with a really frilly skirt, or a cashmere sweater with ballerina flats and tights and leotard. She has a massively varied outfit, and doesn't mind if she looks silly, she just enjoys feeling good in her outfits. She's also extremely proud of her figure, particularly her thighs and her abs and that's why she tends to wear outfits that show them off.

Overall Attitude: Esther is probably the "anti-Illia", a spunky girl who jumps into the fray no matter the concern. She's a hotheaded go-getter with a weirdly high amount of energy and a genuine passion for life. Which tends to mean doing very big and very dumb stunts to get the full enjoyment of the world. Esther is prone to pretty much showing up in whatever outfit she feels best in, even if it doesn't quite make sense for the occasion. This plays into the fact that she's rather...ill informed of how social norms are. Looking at how she acts, you'd think she came from a different country altogether. She's very in tune with her emotions, and wears them on her sleeve. This is what allows her to do her job so well, as she's the Architect of the Soul, coming up with the descriptions of the characters after Illustro creates them. Problems:I'm surprised I never drew an ahoge on her head, cause she's kiiiiiind of dumb. She's very much like a Labrador puppy. Cute and adorable, but also doesn't know her own strength, seems to have traded intelligence for friendliness points, and once she gets going with something, she will not stop...even if she's obviously wrong. She's also very forceful, and oblivious at times, so she has a habit of accidentally forcing people to do stuff, even if they reeeeeally don't want to by sheer force of will and encouragement. She also unintentionally limits herself because of her single minded approach to things. For example, her powerset is actually extremely vast and varied due to her realm of influence...but because she REALLY likes the ocean and the sea, she really only utilizes abilities from that area.  Phobias: Surprisingly, for her go getter attitude, she has a big fear of needles and underground places. So caves are especially terrifying to her. Style and Mannerisms: Easily flips back and forth between speaking rapid fire Tagalog and English. Her accent is noticably aussie though, and she doesn't give a damn if you can't understand the terms she uses. If you aren't bilingual, it'll be almost impossible to keep up with anything she says. She's very touchy, and she'll absolutely embrace anyone in a massive hug (she's also surprisingly strong.) Usually can be seen rocking back and forth on her heels, as she's not a big fan of standing still. She's remarkably fast, and has in fact done the "naruto run" at least a few times in her life. She's definitely big on memes, and if you pay attention to the backgrounds of certain comics, she will absolutely be cameoing somehow doing some sort of meme. Always at the front of the line if walking with a group, chastising everyone fore being too slow. She has an aversion to nicknames, though is a bit hypocritical since she uses them on others repeatedly.

Relationships: She tries so hard here, but ultimately her luck with people just isn't good enough. She tends to either intimidate or scare off potential love interests. Illustro likes to tease her about it. In fact, the two share a very sibling like relationship, with all the ups and downs.  Likes: Travelling, exploring world cultures is one of her weak points, and if she's in a country, she will absolutely get absorbed into it, picking up the fashion, food, mannerisms, and etc in less than a week. She's like a chameleon, it's actually really impressive. She's also big on composing music, although she's still learning the ropes in that regard. Movies are her bread and butter, and she will obsess over film and cinema history.  Moral Alignment: Chaotic Good.

Powers: Serif-im is exceptionally sharp and precise. They blade never dulls, but more importantly, she can look into her enemies history, personality, and etc and just...rewrite it. Rohan Kishibe style. She's really skilled with the sword too, giving it properties if she can write about it on any surface. Sound effects come to life as well. She also has access to the entire spectrum of flora and fauna to fight on her behalf, alongside bestowing their abilities onto herself.  Weaknesses: She unintentionally limits herself due to her hyperfixations. Tunnel vision is a surprisingly common problem for her, and it takes DRASTIC measures and situations to shake her out of her mindset. Also, as the avatar of life, anything antithetical to it affects her hard, so necromancy and the like tend to make her queasy.

Favorites: Color: Magenta, maroon, scarlet, light pink, and chocolate. Animal: Sheep, seals, pretty much every sea creature at all.  Places: Pshh, try places she doesn't like for a shorter list. Food: Meatloaf and Strawberry flavored sodas. Media: Film

But honestly, I can just sorta see her voice coming from Esther's looks alone, but maybe find some way to throw in that spanish accent and some rapidfire bilingual confusion~

My view on Mob and Reigen's relationship as a whole is such a nuanced and complexed thing for me to digest.

On one hand, Reigen gives genuinely good advice and life lessons, as well as showing proper responsibility (like dealing with adult espers, buying him lunch after work, dealing with customers that pressure him, as well as overall just being there for him whenever he's in a pinch) when it comes to looking out for Mob.

But on the other hand, I'm also aware that Reigen is a lowkey pathological liar who just hast vast amounts of luck. Said man had manipulated and lied to an 11 YO for 3 years, gaslit them into thinking their friends were fake so that they would only focus on helping him earn more money, only for said child to get less the minimum amount of pay for their work.

In the middle of all that though, there's the fact that Mob and Reigen's relationship, at it's core, really just boils down to them being friends. It fascinates me how, Reigen has always seen Mob as an equal, as he has stated on previous occasions how amazing he thinks he's skill is, and that he himself doesn't want to feel outdone/left behind by him, while on the off hand, also feeling proud of he's development

So on one hand, we have the insightful, wholesome teacher-student dynamic

While in the other, we also have a manipulative, trash conman who is codependent on an autistic coded, shy introverted kid who can't deny or say no to save himself.

Like, my view of them is constantly changing between the typical master and student relationship, to complexed and nuanced codependency and character growth between two people who are broken inside in their own respective ways, while also being the saviours of the other at the same time.

The fact that Mob literally brought meaning and color to Reigen's life, while Reigen also ALWAYS being the final boss, the who was always able to bring Mob back to reality whenever he's about to explode.

Reigen and Mob's relationship are a lot of things:

Teacher and student.

Friends.

Equals.

And the fact that my brain constantly has to remind me all of these things when it comes to them is something that I feel like I've never really felt about master-student relationship in other pieces of media

Reigen and Mob's relationship is nuanced and complexed, and I cannot thank ONE enough for being able to create such an interesting dynamic.

(Also, because of their nuanced relationship, my brain is in a constant switch of 'wholesome Reigen and Mob bonding time!' to 'heyyy wants some psychological/emotional angst between Reigen and Mob??? :D' and I cannot tell you how often I am overwhelmed sometimes with the amount of possibility and potential these two have in a fic)

7. Any worldbuilding you’re particularly proud of?

Ah! Idk! I don't primarily think of myself as a worldbuilder per se, (I'm far more interested in the characters occupying a particular space in a world rather than the worldbuilding itself), but I would have to say that I'm really fond of the Senju Clan worldbuilding I did in Sixverse it's not something I've seen anywhere else and I'm always super proud whenever I get to work in agriculture to a verse bc I'm a person who's super connected to the land. :D

25. What other websites or resources do you use most often when you write?

Ohhh I'm super into building family trees. https://www.familyecho.com/ I use this one primarily since it also lets me fill in extra details! I tend to also like reading books and memoirs about the time period I'm writing about! For the above Sixverse (Republican China Era) I reread Wild Swans by Jung Chang since when writing a family portrait that spans about a century, why not also read about something like that, y'know?

34. What aspects of your writing are inspired by/taken from your real life?

I would say that a lot of writing is extrapolated from real life! For instance, I've spent all of my university years living in the mountains, so now I love to write about mountains and mountains hold a special place in my heart, in a lot of the ways that my characters tend to describe them. I'm also an agriculturalist by training and spent most of my childhood on a farm, so I'm always especially happy when I get to talk about plants or the harvest or land too. Overall, I think it's bits and pieces that make it into fic.

37. Promote one of your own “deep cut” fics (an underrated one, or one that never got as much traction as you think it deserves!). What do you like about it?

Oh man, I think people have always been really kind to my fics overall. I've never really felt like any particular effort was ignored or anything like that. I'm fond of all of them and I think readers have always been really great about it.

I am still super fond of this little fic that I wrote for Id Pro Quo Exchange this year, An Inherited Creature which is WZL/JYL, and I think it gave me BRAINWORMS about the potential of this ship.

Otherwise the only fics I'm really dying to be like ITS HERE READ IT!!! are ones I haven't finished writing yet or are still in anon so I can't claim to have written them yet lol. I'm very easy to please with engagement.

i want you to know that glass is one of my most favorite fics ever. the way that you write morally grey characters is very very good- i love seeing tommy and wilbur’s flaws and how they show them, as well as how you can see the effect of the bad things they’ve done to each other in their actions long after the actual ‘bad thing’ happened. and the story premise itself is so so interesting!!! the cyberpunk-fantasy vibes are so cool, especially when mixed with the whole deathlings cave setting. and the caged bird extended metaphor is such a good way to show how a character who almost isn’t allowed to feel things himself bc he’s a vessel, actually feels. it’s like slightly removed from him and it does a great job showing how wilbur won’t really say the he’s at fault for his feelings, bc he believes he is not a person that should be actually having these feelings himself. also, the way you write side characters who feel so complete and real- not like 2D pieces of cardboard that stop existing when the main characters aren’t around- is awesome. overall glass is an awesome fic and i’m very excited to see where it goes :D

It really bugs me in stories when major things happen between the characters but have no long term consequences. it's just not how relationships work in real life y'know? even if you move past something bad that happened between you and another person, the memory of it is still there. it doesn't just go away.

man I'm so happy so many people love the cyberpunk fantasy premise. I'm having such a fun time mixing the two because those aren't genres you see combined very often. it's just a premise I haven't seen much of before and I love playing around with it

the caged bird metaphor is something i'm really proud of myself for coming up with. I wanted to play with metaphors again after using them so much in stars, but I didn't want to just make it a generic switch over like "oh instead of water this time it's an extended fire metaphor" I wanted it to feel very different. so the caged bird metaphor was born and I'm having a great time working out how to use it to explain wilbur's evolving mental state

i'm trying really hard not to let the side characters feel like cardboard. even if they're not involved in every scene, I want them to feel like they exist outside of the main characters, so it makes me really happy when you guys tell me I'm accomplishing that
