The Harvest
Mob au @//Clownsuu
Grover @trashcanplant
Vince @cloudy-dreams
TW: dead deer
CLOUDY YOUR BOY IS TERRIFYING
Penny sat on the ground outside playing in the leaves with Poppy's supervision "Be careful!" Poppy exclaimed while Penny stopped herself form eating a leaf
She could hear some crunching from other footsteps then she heard Poppy talking with someone but Penny didn't care enough to listen
"Penny?" Someone behind her asked, She turned around and blinked looking up to see Wally "Hi" Penny said "Hello to you to Penny" Wally replied
"Care to go for a little walk? I'm afraid I have something to ask of you" He added to which Penny stood up and brushed any leaves or dirt off the bottom of her dress
"You have no proof of me hitting Antoni with the frying pan" Penny told him causing Wally to go 'Ha Ha Ha'
"Oh Penny, I watched you hit him" He mumbled "But that isn't why we're talking. I need you to go tell Grover something" He explained
"Oh, Yeah sure! I like talking to Grover even if he-" Penny paused "Where are we again?" She asked "Oh dear, Your memory must be acting up" Wally sighed
"Come along then. We should get you inside" Wally muttered before he began to walk back inside with Penny following
When the two went back inside Wally went to office to wait for Penny who was in her room looking for a coat
yet all she found was a Boa She put it on her shoulders figuring it would work as a coat so after that she went to Wally's office where she sorta zoned out until he told her to tell Grover to "Feed him"
"Oki Doki" Penny replied then she left looking around for Grover until she found him at the bar, Penny looked over to Howdy
Howdy sighed then walked over to Penny and helped her on the barstool before He walks back behind the bar Penny was kicking her legs slightly until Grover looked over to her Ugh… what do you want.” He grumbled while putting back another cup
Grover let Howdy finish pouring him a anothee one then he turned back to Penny "Hi" Penny grinned spinning around in the barstool
She looked over to Howdy who nodded and began preparing a Shirley Temple "Doesn't answear my question" Grover sighed
"Well scareycrow-" "Not my name"
Penny glared at him "Well anyway, Boss wanted me to tell you to 'Feed Him' whatever that means. Sounded like third person too? Is he gonna start talking like that now?" Penny trailed off
She was fidgeting with her gloves to even notice that Grover had stood up "Where are you going?" She asked grabbing her drink Howdy finished making
"Out" Grover replied "Out? But Antoni..." Penny muttered to herself trying to remember "Your not allowed out thought, Boss said-" She was cut off
"Boss told me that I need to go when he gives the word" Grover told her before turning to look at the sky listening for something "Where the fuck are those birds..” He frowned
Penny hopped off the barstool after finishing her drink and walked over to Him then saw two birds outside "Oooh! I've seen those birds before!" She exclaimed
Grover ignored her before he turned to her "Yer' helping me make a delivery" He said then he grabbed her arm and dragged her to one of the cars
However Penny didn't like this and tried biting him "Hey! Let go of me you overgrown weed!" Penny shouted struggling to free herself
"You help me with this delivery and I'll get ya whatever yer' werid ass wants" Grover replied as he opened the car door and tossed her into the passenger seat
"Fine... Your taking me to the candy shop in the middle of town" She mumbled fidgeting with her pearl bracelets Grover gets into the driver's seat and starts up the car then He began driving to God knows where
Penny stared out the window Watching the lights from the city slowly disappear almost falling asleep with how peaceful everything was away from the city too
But then the car stopped and Penny hit her head "Ow..." She frowned while she saw Griver get out and go to the bed of the truck
Penny unbuckled her seatbelt and got out walking over to him, Something smelled disgusting and she heard a squelch sound
When she saw what the disgusting thing was she saw a ripped in half deer causing her to scream which alerted a few birds
Grover put his glove over her mouth "Shut the fuck up. Vince doesn't like noise" He warned, Penny nodded shivering slightly
Griver removed his glove "Grab the back" He demanded but Penny didn't do anything for a moment, Sure she liked gore but with people! Not animals
"Penny" Grover snapped his fingers snapping her out of her trance "Wha- sorry..." She whispered before reaching down to carry her weight
Grover leaned all the way down and walkes backwards into the trees while Penny was trying to direct him in the dim light
But He was pricked by several brambles and stabbed with sticks Making her giggle slightly
The pair passed the tree line and entered the clearing, Penny looked around and to her she felt like she was walking into the world’s most terrifying sculpture park as the figures were all in the midst of fleeing
To the untrained eye it would look like wood carvings which Penny thought at first but the way that the flies landed on them
How branches grew from the eye sockets and mouths of these people made it obvious that they weren't just sculptures
Grover and Penny continued to carry the deer with the sound of sticks crunching under their shoes until the two approached the center of the field and Grover dropped the deer
He looked around at the stillness, searching for something in the trees as Penny backed away from the deer feeling uncomfortable
She looked around while holding her arms close to her chest as a form of warmth, She thought she saw one of the bodies still breathing"Griver-" Penny paused as Grover whistled then took a step away from the deer
"Watch 'em feast" Grover chuckled Several birds came down and flocked onto the deer carcass, Grover laughed while Penny looked away in disgust
But when she turned over to her shoulder she saw a large hunched back figure with dark eyes and long mouth
Penny screamed and grabbed onto to Grover making him look down at her, Grover looked up and saw Vince in the darkness reaching a hand out for Penny
Grover swatted his hand away “No, Vince" He told him "I getcha real hungry to have someone new join but not her. She’s family.” He added
Grover stared at Vince before Vince opened his mouth muttered something in a tone that terrified Penny more then the deer carcass
“Look, how about next time I bring one here fer ya I’ll letcha do yer tree thing and all that" Grover said "I like them screams too, gotta admit..” Grover chuckled
Vince laughed a raspy laugh, not saying a word while staring at Penny who was doing anything but looking at Vince
Grover looked down at her again. “Her names Penny. I needed an extra set a hands pullin’ the deer" Grover added
Penny looked at Vince for just a breif moment and made a small wave to be polite "I know ya like a bit of a scaredy cat, but I got in trouble when I brought Poppy out here" Grover was the only really speaking
But then Penny spoke up "Poppy was out here?" She asked to which Grover nodded "You remember her, Vince? Real tall bird broad?” Grover asked
Penny seemed to relax just a tiny bit at the mention of Poppy yet she kept a grip on Grover’s pants hoping He would take her home soon
Vince didn't respond instead he reached out a finger to graze against Penny’s skin but then Grover grabbed Vince's hand, holding his gloved hand tightly
“I’ll see what I can fix up fer ya, But not her. Not her.” Grover told him as the crows behind him cawed after they finished their feast and flew back into the trees
Everything was silent again, only thing to be heard was Vince’s ragged breathing. Penny looked up at Grover, then at Vince
“Do ya need help spreading the bones across the field?” Grover asked before be gave Penny a little pat in the head as a way of telling her to head back to the truck
Penny instnatly began to walk away, She got into the truck and took in a deep breath "I don't wanna ever come here again..." She mumbled to herself
As the time passed Penny fell asleep with her head resting against the Window unaware of a small leaf sprouting from under her Opera Gloves...

marvel's boys: from sidekicks to heroes
i've been seeing a lot of talk about my friend ray's post about the mentor/sidekick relationship in marvel as compared to DC (this post is specifically in regards to the movie portrayal of said relationships). find the post here. the discussion around this post has inspired some thoughts in me, so i thought i'd share them below.
steve and bucky's relationship as mentor/sidekick originates in the golden age as part of the "child sidekick/hero" craze phenomenon at the time. kids wanted to know they could contribute to the war effort in these years, that they could also make a difference when their fathers and brothers went to war. so the child sidekick was invented and at marvel, that was bucky barnes + toro raymond.
but even in the silver age, we maintained a younger sidekick mentality: rick jones, janet van dyne (until she turned out be old enough to marry hank pym), and i would even include flash thompson's brief stint as a fake spider-man in this category. but, yes, all these "sidekick" scenarios eventually winded down. but i don't think it's because marvel decided sidekicks weren't a worthy trend anymore. far from it.
i think DC's interpretation of the mentor/sidekick relationship becomes more paternal/familial whereas marvel's becomes centered around guilt and trauma (rick jones, primarily). i wouldn't say marvel hated sidekicks after the golden age; they just become heroes on their own (peter parker, the original x-men, nova, etc.) rather than relying on a mentor-esque figure. i think DC has clung to the paternal side of this trend more and maintained it - it's worked for them, so great. but marvel i think dived the other way which was also great.
i know about the "spider-man killed teen sidekicks by being both a young person and the main hero" take as well and i have some thoughts on that, too, if you'll bear with me.
i think it isn't that we started hating sidekicks. i think we realized that, after the golden age, the kids weren't just kids anymore. there is a genre of kid who was too young to fight in ww2 but who still dealt with that trauma and that kid was reading these comics, sending in letters, collecting stamps, etc. comic mags in the golden age used to be FULL of things like "if you see any war planes over your city, report it to the nearest military office!" or "you can collect scrap metal and donate it to the war effort, just like timmy here!" and after the events of pearl harbor, every timely comic had a big stamp on them, demanding that we "remember pearl harbour".
now its 1962 and that kid is 15 and he kinda doesn't NEED his dad as much cause he's either dead or he's been away for years fighting in the war. this kid needs to be his own hero. [gestures to peter parker, richard rider, steve rogers even if you count the origin story] like it isn't that spider-man killed the sidekicks - it's that he lost his father figure (ben parker) and now had to be his own hero and i think that would've resonated a LOT with kids of that era who had gone through a similar loss.
i think it shows in rick jones too - the reason rick just never REALLY "sidekicked" is because he was a reflection of the young boys/girls at the time who suddenly had no parents or elder figures bc of the wars. now they had to deal with it on their own and thats why he didn't stick it out with steve and why he became bruce's friend instead of the hulk's sidekick, cause he just didn't need that mentor and that protection anymore after what he (as a representation of kids from the after-war years) had gone through.
it isn't that the sidekicks died. it's that they were forced to grow up.
if you're interested in thoughts like this, i have some posts on my rarely used wordpress blog. The Golden Age: overview: how i started reading the Golden Age comics. The Golden Age: I: characters i thought i knew, but did not. The Golden Age II: think of the women and children!

How would you think the story would've played out if a different Gem got transported into the games, and I'm not limiting it to just the Afterlife Gems. Like if either Empires Season Gems met Pearl instead of Spider, especially Season 2 Esmp Gem, considering she's essentially the opposite of Pearl in a way?? Sun imagery with butterfly wings and the pointed ears on her skin implies she'd look/be something like a sun elf yet also unlike Pearl she's in almost complete control of her own fate and what 'games' she plays by hopping different universes and LARPing as whatever character she wants. Season one Gem can also be interesting, especially if it's near the end of the season or after the end of the season. Season one Gem getting transported into a death game where her people who look like her friends who are either missing or dead in her eyes messed up in ways they weren't before and one of your closest friends aka Pearl seems so sad and gone from the cheerful queen you knew her as. Also I choose to believe that S1!Gem is at least passively or actively aware of differing timelines cause of her reaction from when she met S2!Sausage and I think she was aware that she basically just three Evil Sausage into a little mirror of her own universe which would be like an alternate ones, I'm kinda reaching, especially since I haven't rewatched Empires S1 yet, but still I can't resist the angst of Gem knowing that these aren't her friends but still desperately trying to hold onto them like they are because the rapture happened so suddenly and abruptly when things were finally looking better and she doesn't wanna accept things. I also can't resist what would be the DL cast's reaction to these two, especially Pearl and maybe Grian
Ngl I really wonder what would be Pearl's and Grian's opinion/impression of them if it were either of them transferred and not Spider Gem
Sorry for rambling I've just been thinking about this a lot and sorry if it doesn't make sense or if it's even in character-
-Sun anon, still happy birthday also <3
Okay...let me just put this into seperated questions...cause this got potential. So ES1 and ES2 Gems would be probably totally different with the reaction to Pearl and everything happening.
ES1 Gem, post rapture (or during rapture), has basically nothing left. No kingdom, no friends, she only has her magic, Violet and fWhip. She didn't "roleplay", she isn't "LARPing", everything happening to her is real, and hurtful. If she was the one transported into the games, she would find familiarity with Pearl, but she would know something is wrong. She is The Headmistres of Crystal Cliffs, she is The Grand Wizard, she would notice Pearl's acting strange (Red stuff) and her and others memories being off.
ES2 Gem, however, wouldn't think of this "transportation" as a big deal at first. I don't think she would take it seriously at the start, as "it's just a game" or "it's just LARPing". She couldn't understand in canon why nobody else (except Pixlriffs and Oli) didn't think of anything as a big deal...she only thought they were good actors in a way. It would take Pearl's death for her to realize that this "game" is not as innocent as she might have thought...
As for Grians and Pearl's reaction? Well...
Grian wouldn't mind ES2 Gem, she looks like a guilable little princess that he can wrap around his finger... But ES1 Gem? Oh, that would be dissaster. He can tell this one is smart, he can tell she has powers on her side... He would try to get rid of her asap, even going as far as killing her himself.
Pearl, on the other hand, would feel a little weirded out by any of those two. ES1 Gem is nice....strangely overly nice, for some reason... And ES2 Gem doesn't seem to take anything seriously...she is very carefree for someone who shouldn't have unlimited lives (Grey names don't work with the same rules as those in from the specific world)
There is a lot of Angst potential, just in a different favour than what my version with Spider Gem has to offer :)

When season 8 starts and the new Hermit is introduced, Grian sees Pearl and turns away. He goes north, messes around with Mumbo and Scar, forms Boatem with them and Impulse.
Pearl is there.
His sister follows him, talks to him, but he ignores her. He looks away, doesn't answer, acts like she isn't real.
Because she isn't.
Ever since the Watchers destroyed Evo, Grian has been haunted. He's never been sure if they're actual ghosts or just hallucinations caused by his guilt, but the Evolutionists are there. Not all at once, not all the time, but there isn't a week that goes by that one doesn't appear for at least a few minutes. Sometimes they yell, screaming condemnations for letting them die or accusations of betrayal. Sometimes they cry, mourning their deaths and the end of fond memories. Sometimes they do nothing at all, standing there, staring at him.
He used to talk to them, begging forgiveness, trying to hold onto what was left of his friends, but the longer the conversation the harsher their words. It always ended the same, with ghosts screaming rage and Grian curled up in a ball, crying, unable to escape.
You couldn't run from a ghost.
Grian couldn't take the screams, couldn't face the constant reminder of his failure, so he turned away. He ignored the ghosts, pretended he couldn't hear them. Surprisingly, he found that it actually worked; if he focuses on something else, distracts himself well enough to forget they were there, he'd later realize they were gone.
Or, most of the time they were.
Pearl has appeared plenty of times before, and it always hurts, even more than Taurtis. She'd joined Evo after the Watchers showed themselves, after they all realized something was very wrong. With the others, Grian at least can justify that none of them had known, but with Pearl he doesn't even have that paper-thin excuse. He was supposed to protect them, but all he did was lead them to their deaths.
But now something is wrong. Even at their worst, none of the ghosts ever stay for more than an hour or two. But Pearl is staying, following him. He ignores her, focusing on his starter house, but she doesn't so much as flicker.
Days pass and she's still there. He does everything he can to distract himself, even going so far as to fight the ender dragon, but she's still there. It's the longest, most consistent haunting he's had. He tries so hard to ignore her that he ends up ignoring the Hermits. He forgets to eat and dies of hunger. He's constantly spawning phantoms; he hasn't slept since the season began.
But no matter what he does, Pearl is still there. Haunting him.
He doesn't know how much more of this he can take.
.
Meanwhile, the Hermits are very confused and worried at Grian's very out of character behavior, and Pearl is both incredibly surprised to see her dead brother alive and increasingly frustrated that he seemingly can't see or hear her.

#9 for the SU asks?
Ohhh this is a hard one. A lot of really good contenders. Alone at sea, log date, growing pains, volleyball, there are SO MANY good ones. But I think at the end of the day, probably a single pale rose. It's just. Man! It's fucking good!
God. Okay. Where do I begin.
It tells you so much in such a short amount of time, which is one of the arguable biggest strengths of the show by far. So much about the lore, about Pearl's mental state, about Rose herself, about EVERYTHING. God. Okay. Let's dig into this.
I already had Rose is Pink spoiled for me long before I touched the show, so it was a matter of. Wait rose shattered her. What. Huh. Okay, this is interesting. How are they planning on explaining it? And the fact that it still hit for me after knowing thats how it turns out is a testament to how good it is. Okay.
The way the inner gem is constructed is fascinating. I wanna know more!! Is that how everyone's inner gem looked? Do other gems that aren't pearls HAVE inner gems? Do diamonds have inner gems? Do others have multiple other themselves in there?? I LOVE how it slowly built up to the reveal. It feels so much longer than 12 minutes. You just get so immersed in it. The implications come out swinging from the first Pearl! I'm excellent at compartmentalizing. The fact that the outer Pearl still doesn't want Steven to know. Or maybe more accurately, is still terrified of him knowing. Maybe shes scared of disobeying Rose. Maybe she's guilty of wanting to disobey her so badly. Maybe she's guilty that Steven would ever consider her doing that. Maybe she's just terrified of if they'll never be family like they used to be after Steven knows. Maybe it's an automatic response, the urge to please. There's so many ways to interpret those little minutes!
And goddd. That first other Pearl crying about Rose having a baby adds so much. She resented Steven for so long. Viewed Steven as what took away Rose. She's alone and fractured and useless and now Stevens here, and she's meant to serve, not to have this child she can't care for. Change comes naturally to humans, but she's not a human. She can't care for this creature Rose wanted more than anything. She can't change. She's made to not change. She could serve Rose but this creature refuses to act in the way he should. It adds so much depth to Roses Scabbard. She's trying to fulfill that purpose, make herself feel better about losing Rose, she can serve Steven like she served Rose, but he isn't her. And she doesn't know what her purpose is anymore. Her crying about it to Steven, when Steven IS THE BABY fucks me up so bad. It's just reinforcing his own beliefs about himself. And also just. The fact that it's the closest to the surface. Because of course it is. That's the first struggle we learnt about Pearl. She misses Rose. She doesn't know who she is without Rose. She based her entire worth on Rose. It makes perfect sense. It's what happened in an Indirect Kiss, her panicking at the thought of losing something of Rose's, feeling like it's a direct betrayal. It all comes from this feeling of being lost without Rose to guide her. She's always had a personality outside of Rose but she has never existed without Rose. This is the cause of so many of her bad decisions. She feels useless on her own. Of course it's the second closest to the surface. It's one of her least well concealed hurts. It's right there if you look hard enough.
The pearl in the battlefield is just. Ouch. Her dead eyed stare as she watches the fighting. The voice acting is phenomenal. It perfectly captures the just...I dunno how to explain it. It adds so much to her. The knowledge that as she's been grieving Rose, she's been grieving the entire rest of the rebellion. She's been grieving everyone. She's been mourning Bismuth, the rebellion she and Rose built from the ground up. She's been living with the guilt. She hid it from Steven for the first twelve years of his life because she didn't want him to know about the rebellion. So many layers to that. Was it that she couldn't bear to lose him too? Was it shame that she couldn't protect the rest of the rebellion? Was it that she didn't want him to know what a Pearl was? Was it her quietly respecting Roses wish to never look back, because clearly she didn't want this being shed given her gem to be involved in this mess? Also the line before going into this flashback. The "Probably where I lost everything else." Just tells you so much without directly saying it. Pearl is so much more affected by the war than she lets on. She's been grieving it for so long. She told Rose, why would I ever wanna go home if you're here, but she almost got herself and Steven killed because she wanted to see Space so badly. She wants things so painfully and aggressively. She just tricks herself into thinking she doesn't.
I also love the differences in how different Pearls in her mind are portrayed. Because we have the first two just being directly no memories, just the keeper of things and then an emotional state. Which, very interesting! Just a personification of her biggest feeling. And then we see the battle field, which is her hollowly watching the battle play out around her. It has some interesting implications about how this memory is stored. Maybe it's a thing of...y'know how sometimes it just feels like you're watching your own body do things and say things, not feeling like yourself? Maybe that's how she dealt with the battles, with having to fight. Compartmentalizing, as she admits herself. Maybe she labeled all the things she did in a battle as the renegade pearl. Not herself.
But for the last two Pearls, it shows her directly in the memory iirc. Which is very fascinating! I interpret this as. Y'know those memories you replay constantly. Thinking over what you could've done better. Never able to shake them. You hear them on repeat in your mind, you see it when you close your eyes. You can't escape it. No matter what you do. That's how I interpret that.
Her having a Pearl in her head that's just...her shapeshifting into Rose. For five seasons straight, she doesn't shape shift. Some people genuinely thought pearls couldn't shape shift because of it. I wonder how often she stayed awake at night thinking about it. Thinking about how it felt like to shape shift, to be Rose. How much that lie, hearing people talk about Rose like that, destroyed her. Hearing people talk about HER. Did she ever look at her own body and feel wrong? Feel like an imposter in her own skin? Did she hate reforming because she could only remember Rose reforming? Herself reforming? It's so interesting. The fact she was crying too. How much had it eaten her up inside? How many times did she remember watching Rose's gem fall to the ground and feel like she'd be sick? God.
And of course, the fucking. Actual scene of her talking to Rose. The fact that she has that entire conversation memorized. Everything that happened completely play by play. The constant question of if she did the right thing. If it was really all for nothing. Rose said she wanted to have this life with her, but now she's gone. What had she done? How badly did she mess up that Rose decided she no longer wanted that life? Pearl would've been happy to stay like that forever. She thought Rose would be too. She'd based her entire life around her. Why wasn't that enough? She'd tried so hard.
It also has some FASCINATING implications about Rose. She's trying so hard to give Pearl an honest choice in this. She doesn't stop to consider how the gag order will affect her. Because in her mind, why would it be relevant? They'll be completely free from the diamonds, they'll both be happy, and she can finally stop being the useless little Pink Diamond and live with the people she loves. She wants to forget it ever happened. Wants to just be Rose and pretend she never was a diamond. She wants to live with Pearl like there never was any status involved. She wants to live on earth and forget she ever stepped foot on homeworld. If they just forget she was ever Pink, maybe Pearl will just love her without being so skittish around her. Maybe if they just forget it ever happened. Maybe if everyone just forgets it ever happened, she can pretend Pink never existed and that she's only ever been Rose.
But of course shattering Pink fucked Pearl up. She severely injured the love of her life. She had to lie to all of her friends for years. She had to conceal a massive part of herself. She couldn't talk about it even to Rose. It's just. Such a complicated situation.
And also the fucking line in it's over isn't it hits so hard in retrospect btw. Petty and dull with the nerve to doubt her. Implying at this point in the story she was questioning Rose. Mmmm interesting.
Also the music the art the EVERYTHING. Fantastic episode. I think it's my favorite, yeah. Just. Excellent. 10/10.

Yeri - Fuel Point
A/N: Hi guys, girls, and non-binary pearls! Welcome to part 2 of 'Red Velvet members causing Katie to lose focus. Anyways, I hope you all are well, and I will see you again next Monday! ❤️❤️
TW: Yeri drives a car and crashes into another car, food mentions, reckless driving (please be safe if you drive!)
Summary: Going on a Sunday drive with Yeri is anything but normal as you try to make it to your destination, but you have to make a pit stop along the way to get gas and a few snacks.
♡ Masterlist ♡
Tumblr media
"Yeri-ah, watch out for that car!" You yell as she narrowly misses a car on the other side of the road. "You're going to get us killed, and then Irene will resurrect us from the dead and then murder us again!"
"I think you're over-exaggerating, Y/N. I'm a great driver!" She cheers as you point at a mailbox.
"Yeri, please watch the road." You say as she groans.
"Yes, I've got it under control. Don't worry about me, sweetheart." She reassures you before gasping. "We're almost out of gas."
"Are you at a quarter of a tank?" You nonchalantly ask as Yeri navigates into the exit lane.
"I'm almost on empty." She admits as you snap your head towards her.
"Yeri, are you being serious?" You ask in disbelief.
"There's a gas station right there. We'll be fine." She calmly states before pulling into the gas station.
"Do you have any gas money?"
"I have plenty of money." She hums to a tune on the radio as she stops at a gas pump. "I can pump gas if you want to go in and grab some snacks."
"Why don't you go in and get some snacks, Yeri? I'll pump gas since you've been driving the whole time." You suggest as she nods.
"Sounds like a plan!" Yeri grabs her purse and heads inside as you begin to pump gas.
You thank the stars that it's not too cold outside as you stare at the scenery outside.
After a long while, the total stops rising and you put the nozzle back into the pump before quickly paying for the gas.
Yeri would be very upset that you didn't let her pay, but you knew that she'd buy a ton of snacks and a few drinks for you guys. It'd end up being about the same price as gas, so you could call it even before she tried to pay for gas.
Yeri pops out of the gas station with two huge bags of snacks, one full drink holder, and a very fuzzy pink cowboy hat on her head.
"Do I even want to ask about the hat?" You say as she chuckles.
"Isn't it so stylish?" She strikes a couple of poses before putting the snacks and drinks in the car. "You ready to go?"
"Yup, the gas is pumped and paid for."
"Babe, what did I tell you about paying for-"
"Yeri, honey, I am a grown adult who has a job and can pay for things. Please let me pay for things." You beg as she climbs into the driver's seat.
"Fine, I can let it go... but just once!" She defiantly says as you laugh and get into the car.
"Let's go, cowgirl, before you cause any more trouble." You tease as you assume Yuri puts the car in drive.
"Let's go!" She yells.... before backing into the car behind her.
"It's always got to be an adventure with you, doesn't it?" You place a hand on your head as she sheepishly laughs.
"That's why you love me, right?"
"Of course it is, Yeri."

Swamp duo au,,, what does Cod Father think about new Jimmy and God Joel? Does he wonder what happened to Lizzie? She’s a god, surely she’s still around? Pearl! Pearl always seemed otherworldly? Or maybe Gem, she was always super smart, maybe she made an anti aging potion and is being all magical at Crystal Cliffs?
I am also rotating this at Mach speeds. Like the Mach speed frogs.
Rotate with me, anon. So fast we can generate electricity and never pay the power bill ever again...
I'm debating on how the new mcs relate to the old ones. In canon, at least for Sausage I think, they are reincarnations? I think the Jimmys are just different people. The Codfather sees the Sheriff and is reminded of when he held the Crown, someone a little too hungry for respect. Not that he doesn't deserve to be respected, but going about it the wrong way maybe. The Sheriff sees The Codfather and is mostly just weirded out at first.
God Joel, from an outside perspective, is strong, handsome, powerful, respected, competent. I think on first impression, The Codfather is maybe a little jealous? If he had been a better leader, more fit for the role, maybe he could have achieved this? The past is long enough gone for him to not be angry at it, but the thought sits like a stone in his stomach. God Joel seems to see everything with the same kind of indifferent comparison to himself. Most people are not gods like him, so why should he care if they're fish men or not? It's hinted in S1 canon that the seablings are at least a little bit unearthly, maybe that's encroaching enough into godly territory to peak his interest.
Jimmy of course has always wondered what happened to his fellow rulers (Those that didn't die during the rapture at least...) He knows they're all most likely dead after 1000 years but can't help but hold out hope. In the S1 finale I don't think Jimmy sees Lizzie lose her axolotl form, he may think she is also out there in some ocean. Does her losing that form cause her to loose her longevity as well, or is it still within her somewhere? Who is and isn't alive still, I haven't decided on. Most of my headcanons for implementing respawn and stuff into lore is similar to @/emdiart's empire marks concept which is very very good (Basically as long as you commit to your promise to tend to the land you call home, that land will protect you back and allow you to carry materials beyond your capacity/build quickly/come back from death/heal quickly etc. That is what it means to be an Emperor in this world). We have a canon answer for Pearl though! I'm sure that will come into play eventually...

As a coping mechanism I decided to do a description of Larissa weems return to season 2 of Wednesday, cause she not dead in my mind.
Tumblr media
At 11:30 am Larissa made her way out of the car dropping her back to the beloved school. On shaky legs planting her feet on the gravel steading herself before closing the door behind her, the hospital's escort helped her up the stairs and gave her a bag with her belongings in and bid her farewell before driving back down the long driveway.
She comes to stand in front of her grand office doors fumbling around the bag for her keys noticing there’s no name label distilled on the door, shrugging it of, she stepped inside Larissa takes a deep breath before exhaling, the feeling of finally being in her home brings a warmth to her heart, walking over to her desk she sits on her chair and runs her fingertips along the hard wood soaking in the normalcy truly admiring everything.
She sat back and closed her eyes reminiscing in the bitter sweet memories and the ones with pain, reopening her eyes to bring her back to reality, they fall upon a photo fame that wasn't hers. Larissa picked it up and a frown formed on her face setting it back down she sits and tries to put the pieces together, she has the idea to slowly turn around her plaque. Her heart sank when it wasn't her name, tears pricking in the corner of her eyes threatening to fall. She sets i the plaque back in its place and relised that this desk isn’t hers, the very chair she's sitting in isn't hers, the grand fire place isn't hers, the room she's in is no longer hers.
As she traipsed back to her bag, she took in her surroundings as if it was the last time. Larissa made her way to her quarters to retrieve more of her belongings but once she made it to the door, she heard a voice comming from within, she took a step back and that was the moment it became clear, she felt erased, as if she never existed as if she was never once was the Larissa Weems headmistress of nevermore.
roaming the hallways of the school knowing no one is awake to be out and about she decided to go hide out in the dorms that were for late arrival students. Larissa sat on the edge of the single bed and stared at the floor, the overwhelming feeling of loss and uncomfort overtaking her mind, her tears are prominent and flowing freely soaking her clothed lap as she hangs her head low. Larissa feels so alone in a place she was once's admired and had a sense of control, her home is merely a building of old memories, it doesn't help that everyone is under the assumption that she is very much dead but to be cleared of all duties and not a memorial insight was hurtful even if it was no fault of others taking care of things after she was gone.
Waking up in the dusty dorm it was time to figure out her next move, not one soul that works or goes to nevermore knows she's still alive only the doctors and nurses that attended to her during her time in the hospital, Larissa has a storage room on campus with belongings that she doesn't use more of sentimental value. Still sneaking around the corridors to avoid being seen yet, she sneaks into the woods to the storage facility. Being flooded with memories every time she looks at a specific item, great full that it had not been cleared out yet.
After a long while of searching, Larissa's eyes fall upon the object she desires, a white cane embellished with gold vines and leaves with a handle in crusted with pearls. A gift she received when she was in her 20s after a horse ridding accident. As well as a cream and brown suitcase with formal wear clothing as well as a emergency makeup bag, because who doesn’t have a back up for back ups. She tried her best to quickly make her way out of the facility, limping her way back to the school cane and suitcase in hand. Coming back to the grounds Larissa saw a few student walking around she quickly hid and waited for them to leave. The idea of shapeshifting was her best bet but not having done it since the incident and feeling so weak she decided to stay as she was.
Back up in her temporary room she sat by the door listening for any passing conversations, only to have heard that there will be an assembly held on the quad at 10:30am that morning and just so happens that's its in honour of Larissa. She scurried to the suit case to pull out a white suit, white heels (much taller than her usual ones) and blouse. For the next hour she would spend getting ready she was surprised at her appearance how different she looked, but admired it, feeling proud for making do with what she had. she left her hair out letting her perfect curls cascade down her shoulders and into the dip of her back, her signature red lips and nails, and a pair of sunglasses.
She grabbed the cane and was getting ready for the show. Another couple of minutes pass by before she heard silence ensue giving her the queue to exit the room. She took one last breath before turning the handle quietly stepping out she stood far from the rail only to give her enough sight to see everyone, listening to the speech start "we are gathered here to mourn the loss of our late principle weems, a woman who's life was dedicated to the school and the heart of us all" the teacher started. It was time. Larissa turned on her heels and made her way to the stair case leading to the quad. Her heals and cane were booming loudly through the corridor, she could hear the woman stop speaking, and low murmurs coming from below. She kept walking seeing from the corner of her eyes and sunglasses that many eyes were upon her but she never once turned to look directly down at them, a small smirk played on Larissa's lips, the confusion written on there faces having no idea who she could be as she didn't look the same as she once did passing each pillar gliding to the top of the stairs, she gracefully made her way down making sure every step and cane tap was heard.
Finally at the bottom of the stairs the murmuring grew louder and so did the confusion. Making her way to the front of the assembly joining the teacher “I'm sorry but this is a private assembly, if you wish to speak to the principal one of our staff may escort you" she said. Larissa smirked Widder that eventuated into a grin. “I don't believe that'll be necessary" she turned to face the students.
One hand firmly on her cane and the other slowly came take off her glasses. She looked up once more and was met with great gasps and shocked faces by students and faculty. The utter shock everyone was in left had her lightly chuckling, giving them a minute to soak in the situation.
Leaning into the microphone she said “it's lovely to see you all again, now I understand this is a shock to you all and I promise you I will answer all your questions in time, but in the meantime you will need to get used to me again" Everyone was wide eyed and mouth gaped, silence was all that occurred until she head a small clap arise, than another and another until everyone in the quad was clapping and cheering rising from there seats. One by one student surrounded her hugging and squeezing her tight. Larissa's eyes begging to get glassy at the sight, realising just how much she was missed. After everyone calmed down a bit she said “now who wants to help me get my old office back" many children agreed and wanted to help usher her back to her old rooms and position.
The rigmarole to get her old position back was nothings short of hectic and difficult. the Sense of guilt for just showing back up and taking her job back from the other acting principal took a toll, but she couldn't be happier to be back in business if it was the last thing she would do. Larissa kept up her ever changing style as a way to express new start, new me:. Things went back to the way it was before the incident and as frustrating as delinquent students were she would have it any other way, knowing she lives for the school makes it all worth it in the end.
Ok so many unanswered questions I guess it’s kinda written in point form but there u go I was gonna add more details but this is what ur getting babies xx

ELAYNA 3, 4, 15!!!
Make your OCs suffer
*smacks Elayna* this girl can fit a lot of suffering in her!
3. Do they try to prevent unnecessary suffering?
At first, yes with exceptions of people who have hurt her/her loved one. But eventually she doesn't care hehehehehe. And this is across the board for both canon and any AUs
4. How do they feel about sparing women and children if given the choice? Do they value certain lives over others?
Oh God yeah! Elayna spares children no matter what. She basically takes the attitude of "Until they can fight back and have a chance at winning, they're not to be harmed." Hell. If it means it's the only way to save the kid, Elayna will even adopt them.
That being said, once they've reached an age where they could defend themselves? It's open season
Elayna also tends to prioritize pregnant women/new mothers as well. Now, she also will dole out revenge as she sees fit, and revenge does not always mean death
I've been toying with a scenario where someone gives up Elayna in the Western AU because she's pregnant. Elayna takes the newborn and has them dropped off with another family and then basically gets the mom forcibly addicted to opium. Just so when the kid grows up he'll think his mom is an opium addict who gave him up
Yeeeeaaaaahhhhhh
15. How do they kill? Do they try to minimize suffering?
So this depends entirely on whether or not they've wronged Elayna and those she cares about. Elayna has done several mercy killings. If it's a "necessary" killing, she tries to go for something quick. But if they've fucked her over??? Elayna will make sure they suffer to their last breath
In the Western AU, Elayna tends to go for a bullet simply because it's quick and efficient. Obviously the Lannisters and anyone who has turned her over to them are an exception, as are anyone who has gone after Aemond, Aegon, Helaena, or @writingbylee 's Lyanna, and anyone they care about. And also Tyland because it's no fun if Elayna isn't a messy bitch and has one Lannister she genuinely actively cares about
And those people? Oof. Elayna can get straight medieval. In the darkest timeline, or as I like to call her Scorched Earth Elayna, Elayna has a secret code for certain deaths. The victim "takes a train east/west/north/south". East means Aemond gets dealer's choice or Elayna just straight... burns them alive. West means they get tortured horribly and the body dumped on the Lannister's doorstep. North means Lyanna gets dealer's choice. South means Elayna might not kill them but they're gonna wish they were dead
I'm not gonna ruin what happens to Tymon BUT. I am gonna tell y'all what happens to Cersei. Putting it under a cut for spoilers
Elayna ends up sneaking into Casterly Rock and hiding in the walls. She's caused a distraction so Cersei is left alone. She and Cersei get into a fight, and Elayna ends up running Cersei through with a fire poker. She then beats Cersei to death with it to be extra sure. And then she pours a fuck ton of oil all over Cersei and stuffs Cersei's mouth with pearls. And then she leaves the body for Tywin and the other surviving Lannisters to find
Elayna don't fuck around

1. favorite fic you wrote this year
OKAY i'm not sure if all's well that ends counts as a fic for 2022 given that i speedwrote it in dec 2021 and just published it on new year's day, but if it does, definitely that one (it is probably tied with cause most of us are bitter for the favourite fic i've ever written...sometimes it's just a bit ahead of that one). as for something that was actually written in 2022 i would say sacred and dust (the rest of us) because the brainrot truly possessed me for that one, i really like how it's written and how characterisation is built through the prose and internal monologue, and i know statistics don't matter but i am so charmed that one of my most ""successful"" fics is a speculative found family angstfest centring on a character that has been in like three episodes of toh and a character that is 1. dead and 2. has never appeared in the show himself
12. favorite character to write about this year
you would not fucking believe it given my inability to finish + publish anything this year but ctubbo 😭 he is a shining star in so many wips that got shoved around either bc i didn't have the capacity to devote enough attention to them OR are getting reshuffled a bit bc they feature certain characters a bit too much for my current liking. if i had to pick a character i actually published a freaking fic on this year i would say dl!pearl i like writing whatever the hell she has going on from the mildly horrified perspective of others
18. current number of wips
narrowing it down to fics i've worked on in the last month or so? eight. ideas on the backburner....i don't wanna talk about it
23. fics you wanted to write but didn't
so fucking many dude. so fucking many. i don't wanna be like "this year has been miserable" but yeah. i had ALMOST finished a fun cquirkyduo fic but for Reasons i am going to try and gut it and reshuffle. i'd also like to finish the october 17 in pogtopia fic before new year's but i think with how busy i am and general lack of mental space i have rn it's just not gonna happen. i'm also gonna say special shoutout to siren au bc that's been on the brain microwave since like april but i'm still trying to plan out an ending that isn't Tragically Awful
24. favourite fic you read this year
fuck you i have a small list
get a load of this monster, he doesn't know how to communicate by cacowhistle - i would also recommend itssideria's OG version of this fic but i read that in 2021 technically lol. anyway ccrime canon divergence in one of those quirky ctommy horror streams wooo
galileo, gazing by zannolin (hello) - wilbur centric post narnia au anyway you were evil for this
jubilee line by cacowhistle - cwilbur in limbo i love painnnn
this is the thing about fiction by acatalepsy - oh cwilbur oh my cwilbur healing arc the fact that i only read this in 2022 feels like a crime
double agent vader series - surprise star wars recommendation anyway this series is fucking fantastic i would say my favourite star wars fics ever i'm trying not to rush the series and savour it all but i could sit down and read this thing in one sitting if i wanted to the brainrot is that strong
ask game!!

Forgive me for posting about Steven Universe in this the year of our lord 2023, but lately, it's just been on my mind that Rose was a gorgeously written main antagonist & she was killed off before the show even started. Rose isn't a Saturday cartoon villain like the Diamonds *appeared* to be.
She was lionized by everyone who knew her. She was beautiful, strong, brilliant, respected by even her enemies, & ultimately, a selfish woman whose thoughtless actions hurt the people she loved.
Her decision to betray Homeworld & by extension her sisters seems Noble enough. She loves all life & wants to preserve it because everything deserves to live. But like we can see when she first met Greg, plants, animals, & even humans weren't her equals. They were like pets. PETS SHE LOVED DEARLY MIND YOU, but still pets.
And that betrayal left people hurt. She faked her own death in front of her sisters, who held a grudge against a woman who didn't exist, countless gems died for her pets, & Pearl was left traumatized of shape-shifting.
Spinel was hurt by Rose leaving her behind when he left for earth. She was supposedly Rose's best friend, but she didn't even get a goodbye, & was forced to nurse a grudge against a dead woman
Her own boyfriend, comrades in arms, & SON were hurt by her selfish thoughtlessness. When she spent time around humans, she grew to want to know what it was like to be a human, something she could never impulsively do like betraying her sisters or leaving a friend behind, so she decided to just... disappear & become part of one, the next best thing.
She left Greg broken & without the woman he loved, she left Pearl behind, the woman who followed her through hell & back & loved her, she left Garnet behind, the woman who got to be herself because of Rose, she left Amethyst behind, a deformed gem who loved Rose like a mother for accepting her with her flaws. She left Ruby & Sapphire behind, the two first gems to show Rose what true love looks like.
& all of this culminated in leaving her own son to bear the weight of her sins & the blame for her death. Steven never asked for Rose to kill herself on a whim or start a war or even be born. She did all of that & left him to deal with her sins.
To be clear, I'm not saying Rose is malicious & was trying to hurt people. I think she genuinely loved the people in her life. But I also believe she was selfish, impulsive, & thoughtless, & shows what can happen when you can't see the forest for the trees. Every event that ever happened in the show was all facilitated by a dead woman who didn't even try to make any of it happen. Her selfishness just caused a snowball effect that hurt people over a decade after her death & leaves scars behind to this day, & I think it takes a lot of effort & grace to create a villain like Rose who's still not without her own merits as a person, because for all of her numerous faults, she truly did love others, even if she hurt them.
She's the one who told Ruby & Sapphire that their love wasn't impure. She's the one who told Garnet that she's beautiful & not a sin. She's the one who never treated a Pearl like a slave. She's the one who accepted Amethyst despite being "flawed." She's the one who showed Greg what love could be.
She was the show's main antagonist (at least imo) but she's still the reason a majority of the cast could be themselves & love who they are. In short, SU is still a good show with well written characters. Idc What anyone else says.

It's actually interesting you brought up Eren. He is one of the characters I was thinking about and I kind of somewhat thought while obviously what he is doing is without a doubt extremely bad because it goes into genocide, I kind of somewhat thought his situation is.... I guess massively complicated with the whole world having this view that is so deeply rooted that him and his people are Devil's on Earth and.... isn't so innocent and with that I thought people were as more understanding with his decisions even though it is like massively fucked up then Rose, and goes back to the whole thing with him having main character status.
I was kind of thinking Grisha was a bit more comparable to Rose because I kind of think he had a similar treatment with flashbacks and stuff as well as he's also guilty of something like the fact that he was abusive to Zeke and that got his first wife and other people who are against what Marley was doing to them captured and turned into Titans but I kind of feel like they showed his story in a way that makes him a lot more sympathetic and understanding and show his change bit more clearly then Rose when he was in the walls and you do got that one part like at the end of the series.
It did kind of made me ask myself if Rose is...kinda unique when compared to other characters? I'm not sure if it's accurate to say this based on the fact that it seems like other characters while done some questionable things seem more sympathetic or even forgiven in some cases more than rose. If we are just sticking with SU characters, I'm assuming the reason may have something to do with the fact that she does play a major part into why let's say CG's behave the way they do earlier in the series and that caused major problems among them and Steven and the fact that she's pretty much responsible for the entire series. I'm guessing that's how she's a lot more criticized. Other characters from the other franchises more interesting I have seen people seem to say Bojack, a character who is supposed to be like a very massive ass seem a little bit more empathetic? Although I think this is based on the opinions I have seen that the fact that he took responsibility and not Rose so I think responsibility might be a factor into this too
Now that you mention it yeah Grisha might be a better analogue for Rose, both being parents of the main character who set a lot of the events of the series in motion, and continue to influence the story long after they're dead. I think the reason people aren't so hard on him is that a lot of his more questionable moments are quickly overshadowed by things that Eren and Zeke do (especially when Eren was the one telling him to kill the royal family in the first place). The last time we see Grisha is when we realize that Eren had been manipulating him for some time, and the very next episode is when the Rumbling starts
Compare this to the last times we hear about Pink Diamond, which is when we learn about Spinel's backstory and about what happened to Pink Pearl. The choice to focus on these in the later episodes may lead the viewer to think that the show, and by extension Steven and the rest of the CGs, just hate her by the end. Steven very well might, which somewhat justifies the focus on her past mistakes, but I think it's clear that Garnet, Amethyst, and Pearl still don't. I just wish people would stop taking this as proof that "the crew hated Rose" or that "Rose is irredeemable"
And yeah you might be right about the whole "taking responsibility" angle, since a lot of these other characters usually don't get the "happy ending" of just living in freedom for a while, before dying in childbirth. What people forget is that Rose definitely did sacrifice a lot though, she gave up her entire way of life on Homeworld, and also lost almost all of her friends/allies except for Pearl and Garnet to the corruption bomb. The act of giving up her life to create Steven could be seen as selfishly running away from her problems and not taking responsibility, but there's another interpretation. Even after creating an entirely new persona and life, she still hates herself and would rather give up her life to create someone who can love themself instead. Is this "leaving her problems for someone else to deal with"? Yes, but that's not the whole story, and not considering how Rose probably actually felt about this goes to show that people barely see her as her own character, which is another reason she gets a lot less sympathy from fans

Grian draws in a breath, lungs filling with the icy approximation of air. The suits were really just crash test suits, there were no oxygen tanks, but they weren't dead, so Scar must have done something to them. The expanse of darkness was nothing new to him, really. He could only kind of pretend to be shocked by breaking past the outer ring of void. Past where you'd be returned to your spawn, taken 'home'.
There was no going back, now. They'd pushed through that layer and lived, and that meant they'd fall until there was no more falling to do. Maybe it'd be forever. Maybe they'd hit solid ground the next moment.
He exhales, fogging up the red tinted glass around his head. On the other side, he almost thinks he sees frost for a moment. It almost reminds him of an old friend. But he looks up and meets the gaze of Pearl, seeming almost serene falling through dead space. She offers him a smile, eyebrow quirked and head tilted to the side. He smiles back.
"You think they'll find us?" She says after a moment, voice quieted by a wind that doesn't really cause resistance. Neither of them need to clarify what 'they' means.
Grian shrugs, looking around," Nah, if they haven't spotted us yet, we're probably in the clear. Usually? Harder to tell. But here? Yeah."
Pearl hums, nodding along.
"They?" asks Impulse after a moment. No response is met.
The group falls in silence for a bit longer after that. Occasionally, something will pass- making one or more gasp in shock. But mostly, it's quiet.
"D'ya think we'll end up anywhere else before getting back to Hermitcraft?"
Grian shrugs again, looking at Scar," Well, I didn't make any plans."
"And you'd be the one who did, yeah," Scar concedes.
"So the world's- it's over for real now, right?" Mumbo says, voice just a bit hoarse.
"I mean maybe? Why?"
"Look up."
So they do. There's no light anymore, but there hasn't been for a long time. It isn't really... clear what he's getting at, honestly. The group turns back to Mumbo expectantly.
"Not quite sure what you mean there, buddy." Impulse hums.
He shies away from the eyes on him, just a bit," There's nothing new that's falling anymore. We've been falling slower than objects for- for a bit now and now nothing else is falling."
Sure enough: nothing else was falling. Anything that looked like it was was... on closer inspection, a distant star- or whatever it was that those were down here. No more items, no more blocks. Nothing.
"At least we had fun!" Scar says after a moment. A long, mournful, moment.
"It was a new experience. Stole a lot of clocks."
"I got pretty good at building!" Mumbo says, quite a bit proud.
"You sure did potato boy."
"Hey!"
Laughing to himself, Impulse adds"I stole Scars Willy Wonka shtick since he didn't commit."
"It was fun" Grian says, glancing at the friends he'd done so much with.
And now it was over.

Pet peeve
"Biggest pet peeve, go." Daniel announced to Steven, Patricia, Peedee, Jeff and Connie.
The group of six was at returning to from eating at a Chinese buffet that just opened up near Empire University. While Jeff was still a dorm student of the college, Peedee, Connie, Tricia, Danny, and Steven we're visiting their friend.
"Pet Peeve? Hmm?" Patricia rubbed her chin, "what I forget if I ate something or misplace my snack."
"Wait? What?" Peedee turned to the glasses adorned woman.
"What?"
"How do one forget if they ate something?"
"I'm a busy woman, Fryman! Sometimes I walk away from my food when I'm struck by inspiration." Tricia pointed at him.
"So...you have food abandonment issues." Peedee nodded, folding his arms.
"There's no issue," Tricia smirked," I find something better to do than eat, and I leave my food or I rush it in between these pretty lips." She clicked her teeth, "no problem."
"Well, that's my pet peeve. Food deserters, finish your food, or take a damn don't bag." Peedee growled to the heavens, "someone worked hard making that!"
"You..." Connie started with a giggle, " You ok Pee?"
"Customers...Tourist customers, " Peedee sighed, getting a nod from his friends.
"Our hearts go out to you, Dee." Danny smirked.
"Hehe." Peedee mocked with a sneer, " ok, what yours, Danny?"
"Don't have any," Danny shrugged, "Cool as a cucumber."
"Dragonball Evolution."
"That movie was a hate crime to pop culture," Danny turned to Tricia with a pointed look, biting the back of his lips, "not a pet peeve a rightful grudge."
"He isn't wrong." Jeff nodded, "as for me...When someone don't give me the brand of soda I asked and paid for."
"Actually," Danny nods, " that is annoying, don't tell me Pepso is the same as Prof. Peb cause it's not."
"Soda Philistines. I swear, no respect for the cinnamon pinch." Jeff tacked on.
"Before this becomes a full-on soda justice warrior rant." Connie teased, "how bout we move on, Biscuit. Pet peeve?"
"Missing you." Steven grinned getting a kiss on his cheek.
"Also that." Peedee teased the couple, "that cuteness."
"We don't have to be Cute." The jambuds said in unison before sharing two very unwholesome grins at eachother.
"I take it back!" Peedee crossed his wrist," you two remain cute...and Steven, use your mouth to speak, not mark you girl's neck!"
"Ok, ok." Steven pulled away from the giggly Connie, "are Lion Lickers still a thing?"
"...Yyyes."
"There you go, "Steven smirked, getting a small groan from the boys, "Hey. One of us guys has to have taste."
"Eh~hmm! Are you saying Danny dosen't have taste?" Tricia folded her arms and arched her left brow, "cause I'm proof of the contrary." She smirked, "and you are one of his choices, too."
"Yet, he prefer Lion Lickers."
"Call then the 'exception' that proves the rule," Connie smirked.
"Guy can't like his lickers in peace." Danny shook his head, "all this treat-on-treat violence will leave blood on the streets."
"Sweet, confectionary citrus blood." Steven joked, " I will Cookie Catwalk on Lion Licker's grave."
"That bestows me with a strange visage of you C-walking...While voguing."
"And I'll end it with a dead drop."
That got the others laughing for a bit.
"So, Berry." Steven started pulling her close by her hip, "pet peeve, other than authors phoning it in at the end of their books, and movies based on books that ignore the original material."
"I-I feel like you're calling me out." Connie poked his pec, "that being said, I don't think it safe for me to say around this group."
"Connie, Sis." Danny gasped, hand on his chest" do you think we, would do such a thing as willfully annoy you for our own entertainment."
"Yes..." Connie deadpanned, "clutching your pearls doesn't change that."
"I do declare," Danny said like a southern belle while he fanned himself dramatically before holding his hand up, laughing in his normal voice.
"Fine...The english language."
The group turned to her a bit taken back.
"Ok...Just listen; it is not that the English language annoys me. Just that when people realize that nouns can be used as verbs...and abuse it cause it makes sense."
"So..." Jeff smirked," us velociraptoring back to your dorms, badgers you?"
"Why..does that make sense to me?" Tricia mutters.
"Really, you punks. You're doing this." Connie sighed.
"We aren't doing anything." Peedee challenged," don't need to get so hot aired."
"If that is not gaslighting to its fullest." Danny disputed with a smirk.
"Kind of mad that I understand the intent of these statements." Tricia murmured trying not to laugh
"See.." Connie muttered," it's a little thing but it annoys me."
"So if I said that the best day of my life was when I save from being rocked under a bolder while you book eye Unfamiliar familiar, would annoy you?" Steven jested as Connie looked disgusted yet blushed.
"......See, now I wanna kiss you and kick you." She pressed his nose, getting a laugh.
"Aw, you're Sandwich between two wants."
"The English language is fucking chaotic when you think about it..or maybe we strangely brain language." Tricia grinned seeing Connie betrayed face.
"I thought you loved me." Connie exasperated a gasp, "I can't believe you-"
"Knife your back." Jeff interfered.
"Ugh!"
"Really, though. That some chaotic logic brains do. " Danny admitted.
"No, it's logical; it is English that becomes lawless when it english without care, forcing your brain to brain appropriately, so you can logic your English," Connie explained before slapping her head.
"Raise your hand if you understood that...Perfectly." Danny announced; the whole group raised their hands before laughing.
"It's a fucking contagion." Connie groaned.
"So it's a bit of Englishing out of the norm; there's nothing wrong with that." Steven kissed her cheek, " it's a bit fun to language this way."
"Ugh!.. Please. Stop, use the natural order of words and grammar."
"Ok, we all having a bit of fun." Danny parts her in head, "we'll stop so we won't mad and sad you."
"I'm gonna clothesline to the nearest wall!" Connie warned before groaning again.
"You're going to violence me when I am apology." Danny shook his head, "You hate to eye it."
Steven let Connie go at that moment. "Go get him, Berry," he gave her a chaste kiss on her lips, causing her to blush and nod before turning to the antagonizer.
