Lara Jean and Peter stay together through college, sometimes the distance helps them calm themselves after a fight, sometimes it causes a fight, most times it makes them realize if they can survive this they’ll survive anything

Peter writes Lara Jean at least once a month, a real letter, on nice paper. His frat friends vote him the most romantic boyfriend. It starts as a tease but it’s true

LJ, Margot, Kitty and Doctor Covey come to UW for Peter’s last game of the season. Lara Jean writes the number of his shirt on her cheek. Peter l o v e s it

That game is the first opportunity for Lara Jean to meet Peter’s friends and vice versa. The guys hope that since they met her they wouldn’t have to listen so much about her. Boy were they wrong

The scrapbook Lara Jean gave Peter became a hit. One of Peter’s friends asked his girlfriend why he didn’t get one of those. It was quite a loud fight

After the first year the students were allowed to have their cars with them so Peter could visit Lara Jean more often. And he did. And so did LJ, just with a lot more hesitation

“so now you’re blaming me?” You harslry questioned looking up at Noah who was sitting on the kitchen island, placing him directly in front of you while he munched away at the food you had on your plate

“Drop it?” He questingly repeated, tossing the fry he was about to eat back onto your plate.

“Yes drop it, I can’t talk to you when you’re being so closed minded. So forget it. You fucking suck, And stop picking on my food”

“Hey guys” Cierra mindlessly interrupted with Maia behind her, she wasn’t the best at picking up on tension.

They stared at the pair of you as you Noah gave them a small greeting while he got off the table and made his way to sit across from you.

Cierra and Maia took a seat on either side of Noah, leaving him the the middle of their pointless chatter, that you would usually be involved in if your mind wasn’t preoccupied.

You looked up when Noah got up and made his was away form the island with no words said.

“What’s going with him” Maia asked, a lttile concernd. Noah was never short tempered and easily annoyed

“Yeah, what’d you do to him” Cierra questioned leading Maia to elbow her for her bluntness

You rolled your eyes, is it a new thing? to put the blame of everything on you?

“Nothing, I didn’t do anything. He’s fine” you dismissed them, returning your focus onto your plate.

You partially paid attention as they went back to their conversation of come concert, still looking down at your plate and picking on your food- well what Noah left.

That’s when you noticed him walking back to the island, wordlessly taking the seat beside you and putting a new plate of fries in front of you. You smiled at him and leaned in, giving him a kiss to his cheek.

His exterior visably softening when you pulled away and laced your fingers with his. You both looked up to Cierra and Maia looking at you two in awe.

“And just like that, you two are good” Maia beamed

“So cute I could puke” Cierra piped in dramatically with a smile

You leaned your head onto Noah shoulder as the table drifted off into a conversation of a red carpet they were going to be attending soon.

BEING PETER KAVINSKY’S YOUNGER SISTER AND HAVING A CRUSH ON JOHN AMBROSE MCCLAREN WOULD HAVE TO GO A LITTLE SOMETHING LIKE THIS...

so you’re one year younger than peter

which means peter has all the rights to saying “i’m older than you, so i decide” without having to do any work for you because you're too small (like doing the dishes because you can’t or something)

which, of course, means the two of you have always argued with each other in regular sibling fashion, but makeup quickly because your rooms are literally right next to each other.

but, this also means that you are close enough in age to where his friends are basically your friends while growing up

you first met john ambrose because peter had brought him over to hang out after school

and you remember thinking he was nice, if not a little nerdy

and soon, you guys started to hang out a lot

especially after gen and peter got together

and you guys became really close, and even after he and peter sort of grew apart, the two of you stayed friends

you could vent to john ambrose about your brother and he could agree, but also point out that he was still your brother and cared a lot about you

and that was one thing you always liked about john ambrose

he was quiet and levelheaded and thought things through

and he was smart

and he was funny

and he was sweet

and he was cute

and he liked you for you

and that was always a thing, wasn’t it? people seemed to like you for who your brother was. but not john ambrose. not him.

and peter watches your feelings towards john ambrose shift and you know it fills him with absolute glee conflicting with an over-protective nature

which makes for an awkward limbo where he will tease you about your “lil’ crush on johnny boy” but will then posture to or try to be better than john ambrose

this, of course, is fodder for a lot of arguments between the two of you

you can never win these arguments. because even if you deny it, both of you know that you have an undeniably h u g e crush on john ambrose mcclaren

but then he moves and everyone moves on like he was never really there

but not you

you write to him - emails, mostly, but you also managed to find him on social media and send him memes

and you know that this makes peter even more insufferable

“stop sexting john and come down here! i need help making dinner!”

“SHUT UP, PETER!”

and all this time, you never say a word of your feelings

how pathetic would it make you?

“i know we haven’t seen each other in years, but i’ve always had a crush on you, and i’m waiting for you if you ever decide to come back”

peter would make so much fun of you if he ever found out

and what makes it worse is when sends you an email that lara jean sent him a letter in the mail? and it said how she loved him in middle school?

and that ate at you

you couldn’t look at lara jean for weeks after finding out

because she was dating peter, so why would she send that

and why were you indefinitely in the shadow of someone else?

first it was peter - faster than you, stronger than you, more popular than you; and now it’s lara jean - more confident than you, and more deserving of love than you

you don’t know how to respond

and so you don’t

peter notices that something is wrong and spends more time with you

the teasing stops and the real conversations start

and you were never going to tell him about the letter that lara jean sent john ambrose

but it just came out

and then peter and lara jean are on the rocks and everything that is wrong is your fault

and then john ambrose is on your doorstep

and you’re shocked, and you’re sad, and you still love him

and you don’t know what else to do but fling your arms around him

it felt wrong to you at first and you tried to push the feelings away

josh is such a cinnamon roll

he is always so kind to you

Oh hey girl! Well, @maiathepleiades made up a Youtube au for covinsky that I LOVE so I’m gonna use that as a starting point :)

Peter and Kitty going through all the comments on LJ’s channel and deleting the mean or creepy ones (as with the notes thing from the movie, Peter goes the extra mile of leaving sweet comments on the videos as well, but Lara Jean never reads the comments so she doesn’t realize it until Kitty tells her to look)

Lara Jean secretly binging Peter’s super old videos from when he was an awkward teenager who didn’t know how to edit whenever she has a bad day because he’s just so cute

Kitty shows them fanvideos that random viewers have made for them to Taylor Swift and Cascada songs. Lara Jean finds it embarrassing, but Peter thinks it’s awesome and creates a public playlist on his channel where fans can watch his favorites

Editing in coffee shops together becomes a weekly date for them. Peter learns her drink order by heart, and she starts carrying an extra pair of headphones for when he inevitably forgets his

Peter was still considering transferring to North Carolina but didn’t tell Lara Jean about it. She surprised him with something better. After two years she transferred to UW. She liked North Carolina but she liked Peter more. Peter cried so much that day. LJ swears she didn’t see it

After graduating Lara Jean and Peter decide to do what they wanted years before: they move to New York

The wedding took place in the Covey’s garden. At the end of the night everybody got a colorful lantern to write a wish on, light and send into the sky. Peter and Lara Jean didn’t write anything. They had all they’ve been dreaming of

peter kavinsky dating an asian american reader includes...

(sorry if this doesnt apply to you but you can tweak it around for your culture or ethnicity or whatever) (oof im chinese btw so im sorry if i dont include enough of the rest of asia)

peter would try to get to know your culture as much as possible

buying himself slippers to keep at your house instead of walking around in socks when he takes off his shoes

knowing where everything in the kitchen is, even the things in the dishwasher that he knows is strictly storage

taking trips to the asian grocery store across town to buy you snacks until you found out and you guys went together

noticing that you like the little yogurt drinks so he asked the store if he can buy them in bulk so he has some for you every morning

always coming over for dinner whenever your parents makes something hes never had before

never being grossed out when you talk about eating pigs feet or chicken feet in fact he asks to come over the next time you have it

movie nights were the best cause sometimes you’d watch asian dramas with him and he’d try to learn the language by reading subtitles

he listens to your rants about representation in movies and the media and general

taking you to see crazy rich asians cause he knows how important it is for you to see yourself represented on screen

helping you find asian halloween costumes and trying to do a couples costume with out appropriating (his favorite so far was you as mulan and him as mushu although he loved seeing you as cindy moon aka silk and he was peter parker even tho the characters arent together)

taking you to different boba shops in the city and getting a bunch of flavors (he loves the classic taro with plain bubbles)

always being there to try your cooking/baking (his favorite thing you made was the super jiggly cheesecake, it came out perfectly)

explaining to him the pressures of being asian and the expectations that come with it

going to his lacrosse games although you hate sports (not an asian thing, although i feel like it is)

teaching him how to use chopsticks and/or introducing him to eating more foods with his fingers (he really likes eating with his hands, its more efficient he says)

trying to learn your language in order to talk to your parents/grandparents and understand them (also to know if theyre shit talking on him, he really wants them to like him)

understanding your anxiety when you drive cause you dont want to be a stereotype (not saying you drive bad tho you just get that ping of anxiety when you get behind the wheel)

not totally understanding what its like being an asian american but he tries his best

never letting you feel like youre second best to anyone :)))

sorry that its a big mess i just need to get my feelings for him out. and sorry if it’s short it’s my first thing so this is all i got for now. i’ll make a part two if yall want :)

i feel like parker would try to ask you but he would just get so nervous

“y/n hey i uh––” he’d scratch behind his head and look down, an awkward laugh tumbling past his lips, “i was wondering…” and he’d just give up, letting out a sigh, “if you did the chem homework?”

or he’d be like “i–– i really like you y/n”

and you’d be like “i like you too, peter”

cause you liked both him and kavinsky and you were just confused and you didn’t know what to do

you didn’t want to hurt either of them

and he’d look like he was about to continue, his cheeks flushed, but he just closed his mouth and continued doing whatever he was doing

so kavinsky would catch up with you later on during one of your study sessions, he’d suggest taking a break despite having only worked for like not even an hour and he’s like

“so uh parker and i have been talking…”

and you look up and your eyes go a little wide, your heart starts pounding cause oh no…

and he’s like “and we––we came to an agreement”

and you’re like “an agreement?”

“y––yeah, if––if you’re willing, of course. we’d love to, you know––have you…”

and you just pause and look at him

“wh––the both of you?”

and he just smiles sheepishly, nodding, “yeah…we’d be willing to try it out if you are.”

after giving it some thought you agree to it cause why not, you know?

so you call the both of them over to your house and when they both get there at the same time you’re kinda surprised but like barely

and you all sit down on the couch and they’re both sitting up super straight, hands on their knees, ready for the worst

and you smile and you’re like, “let’s do this”

and they get so happy, their eyes light up, a smile on their faces and they’re like

“really?”

“are you sure?”

cause they don’t want to force you to do anything, they want you to be happy

and you’re like of course

for your first date you kinda wanna keep things lowkey so you don’t go to a fancy restaurant or anything (not yet anyway)

you’d probably go to the park and have a picnic, something cute like that

they’d bring all your favorite foods and snacks

they’d set up everything so you could just sit and relax

and you could tell that parker was nervous cause he wasn’t really looking you in the eye that often

so you just took his hand in yours and smiled at him to let him know it was okay

and his heart immediately burst, his eyes wide a smile on his lips

you spend the whole time there just talking and laughing and listening to music and eating

they’d each take their time feeding you too

kavinsky started it out just to be cheesy,

“open up,” he’d grin, putting the fruit near your mouth and you just roll your eyes but open your mouth anyway

then it kinda just became a habit, and parker would do it too sometimes

you’d end up just like taking a nap sort of or just resting on the blanket, your head on parker’s lap and your legs on kavinsky’s

kavinsky would hold your legs, tracing small patterns and parker would play with your hair softly, lulling you to sleep

it’d be a chill first date but a very memorable one
