Mario Story Fruit Shake area renders- Dagger Jungle
After...3 or 4 days for this one area (not counting the minutes for the main landmass on the greater Frutta Archipelago map), I'm mostly finished constructing one of the stages in the Mario Story Fruit Shake fantopic. It's Dagger Jungle, the boss stage of Chapter 1.
An overview shot of the whole area. While Dagger Jungle is right near Yoshi Village and Plessie Waterfall, they're not in this render. This is due to how many objects there are in this area alone. Let me put it this way- the BLEND file for Dagger Jungle alone has half as many objects as the Frutta Archipelago file.
The opening area from up high. Mario and his two partners can be sort of seen near the middle-right, while some enemies are scattered about. There's also a log bridge, for sake of antepiecing. The intended way this stage is meant to play, Mario knocks loose logs from trees with his hammer. For the sake of these renders (...and because I haven't quite figured out how to get the logs to two different locations...), the log bridges are already in place.
The first area with multiple logs and elevated platforms. Since this is my first time in a while really doing such, I didn't quite know how best to dictate high areas and pits. So I just used a premade platform piece, resizing it for various purposes and elevations.
Here's the middle main room of the jungle. There's four ways in and out, but the gate to the south must be opened from the other side!
Another simple room, northwest of the middle room. Also seeable is a small area with a gate that can be opened up to the main entrance.
I should also mention- it was a pickle placing all the flowers everywhere. I did try doing each of the three types one by one at first, but I then decided to do them in specific groups for convenience.
The room right before reaching the south part of the middle room. Some more navigation of platforms to reach logs, as well as a cave to the east. I'm not quite done the caves yet, so that'll wait another time.
Now the path leading deeper into the jungle, then into the only required cave in the stage.
The last log area. It's trickier, now, especially as some logs are not reachable from the main platform. Following this is two caves- one with optional content, and another with a Save Block, followed by the boss...
The very heart of the forest, with Elonaire, the Great Melon Tree. But Dagger Rex is nearby, irritated for some reason. Take care!

#noburnoutober DAY 25-FOREST SPIRIT It's the evil plant creature #alraune (Alra-une) , a man-eating #monster who survives on draining the blood of corpses. The #design I used is from #castlevania but it's a german folklore legend, it was also referenced in #saintseiya . #artober #inktober #uruguay #vampire #piranhaplant #forestspirit #evil #markersketch #悪魔城ドラキュラ #monstergirl https://www.instagram.com/p/CkZUW6UPREF/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
