So, lets talk about Viren and Harrow

I'm gonna start by making two points that in my opinion are obvious but a lot of people think otherwise so lets say they're headcannons or theories or whatever, beacuse most of this post goes around them somehow

1- Viren has a one-sided crush on Harrow, probably has been silently pining for him for a while (bro can't pull bitches, Aaravos and the mother of his children divorced him, Harrow very obviously doesn't see him as more than a brother or friend (at worst Harrow sees him as a servant)) (this crush theory supported by how the mf giggles like a teenage girl in love when Harrow makes a joke)

2- Harrow is trapped in his own bird's body for now, caused by soul switch spell Viren did using the soul fang snakes in the night the moonshadow elves infiltrated the castle

Okay so with that set, lets start ranting

I've been thinking about it, beacuse I couldn't make sense of it, and we know how Viren goes from wanting to protect Harrow (the man he loves) to killing Harrows' children (children he never seemed to hate before) just to become king and start a war right?

So I think that his will to start a war with Xadia comes from seeking revenge at their attempt to kill Harrow (even if it was provoked and he's still alive), this will later being mostly fueled by the dark magic's influence on him and Aaravos' manipulation.

Oh and why hasn't Viren already freed Harrow from the bird? (Without counting that the bird flew away and was never seen again)

Viren is probably very pissed that his crush was mean to him, after Harrow said he was like a brother to him, Viren wasn't expecting Harrow to treat him like a servant (honestly I would be pissed too, Viren knows he would never be anything near a romantic interest to Harrow but what Harrow told him hurt him, and I understand Harrow was under a lot of stress (he did just find out he'd get murdered that night) and doesn't like Viren's creative solutions, but it was still fucked up to treat Viren like that), and, Viren also knows that in order to have his revenge and conquer Xadia he needs to be king, so that he can control the army of Katolis and the other kingdoms will help him, he also knows that Harrow would never allow that, and that after switching his soul back Harrow would probably have him executed or sent to prison. At least at the start Viren's reasons to do what he does are understandable (not good, understandable, even if extreme), but then later what was a quest for revenge and the well-being of humanity slowly morphs into a quest for power, his own reasons lost to dark magic and Aaravos' wishes, even if Viren doesn't notice it

Remember the 6 year old girl who was surrounded by Israeli tanks and the red crescent couldn't reach her? Her name is Hind Hamadeh. Here you can hear the phone call her 15 year old sister, Layan Hamadeh, made with the medics. She was killed exactly a moment later including all people in the car, except for 6 year old Hind who was stuck in the car with the dead bodies of her family, Israeli tanks and IDF surrounding her, shooting, preventing anybody to reach her.

That was last night (29.1.24). Today, still nothing. The fate of Hind remains unknown.

Something I think about a lot is how Rick Riordan very rarely uses "girlfriend/boyfriend" to refer to Percy and Annabeth within their perspectives. They're so intertwined, even Annabeth says in hoh that the word boyfriend isn't strong enough, because Percy was a part of her. They are a singular soul, too wrapped around each others' fates that regular labels are far too weak for them. But, Rick Riordan uses "boyfriend" a lot in Nico and Wills perspectives, not because they love each other less than percabeth, but to show how much the word means to them. Nico uses it any chance he gets- "his boyfriend," "he actually had a boyfriend," because Nico has never been able to say that before. Their struggle with their queer identities mixed with Nico's catholic guilt and chronic everyone-hates-me disease makes the fact that he has someone to call his actual boyfriend so much more important to his character development.

Have u forgotten u can vote 3rd party? I know there will likely not be enough people voting independant party for a non red or blue president to be elected THIS voting cycle. But. If enough people vote independent maybe america will wake up and realize there are more than 2 shitty options. (It takes time to change, and change for the better)

Look the problem with the blue no matter who mindset is that these people know you are going to vote for them no matter what. Not because you necessarily like them but because at least they aren’t the other guy. Which gives dems absolutely no incentive to not be a piece of shit. Like do you get it? They will be awful and endorse genocides and all other terror because they know you will let them get away with it. Maybe biden isn’t as bad as a republican would have been but he is still pretty fucking bad. Personally, morally, I cannot in any way justify voting for him again.

voting for someone as damage control in an election does not mean you can't heckle the shit out of them once they are in office. You elect the officials you think you and groups you belong to have the better chance of pressuring into better policies, and who will do the least amount of damage in the meantime.

Democrats are relentless towards their elected officials-- at least the ones I know who are actually politically active are. They call, they protest, they campaign. Plus, as you're demonstrating, people on the left do not blindly vote (that's the other guys). It's totally unrealistic to say that elected Democratic officials just think they have an easy ride.

people can and should vote for whoever they want to in local elections, primaries, etc. But in the big one, the president one, the one in the fall, voting third party is like drawing up plans for a nice new extension on a house that is actively being set on fire. Voting for president is damage control. Voting is your hard-fucking-won civil right. Voting in smaller elections can also be damage control; when there is no-one to feel "good" about voting for, you vote for the less-worse one, because maybe that one is more receptive to the idea of climate change being real than the other one, and you can work with that.

Sometimes you get to vote for the option you align with the most. But sometimes voting is about picking the option with the cracks that you can dig your fingers into and pull open. Or at least the one who won't start taking a sledgehammer to civil rights and environmental protections (and, and) with all his buddies while you work to build support behind a candidate you can feel good about voting for in four years.

Biden has shown he can change his policies over time, with pressure. Democrats can be swayed in ways Republicans cannot. One major party can be pushed more left. The other one will drag us into a darkness that I don't even want to think about. The presidency is about so much more than just the individual sitting in the Oval Office.

Voting is strategic. It is strategic. It is not negative moral karma to vote strategically. It is one action amidst all the other actions you can take to fight for the future you want.

I've read your comments and I'm well aware of what needs to be done to carry out this project. I want to tell you all, beforehand, that for me the team's well-being is fundamental. I want to tell you all that the administrative staff responsible for so much harm to the project has been fired. Specifically, those who made decisions without my permission, affecting the administrative and financial area of the project. Consequently, after this, I was in charge of doing a financial analysis that's carrying out for the QSMP.

Guys, to be really honest, it was not going to last. Therefore, I've had to make deep drastic structural changes that have lead me to reduce the performance of the server down to the most essential, and this is in order to ensure the well being of everyone involved in it. Having said this, I want to give a very important update: I want to let you all know that the QSMP will have to slow down temporarily. This is to ensure this new structure adapts to the project, because it's a restructuring that's taking place. I'm letting you know, and I reiterate, there are no voluntary positions inside the QSMP.

At the moment, there will not be any more individual update accounts of all 5 existing languages in the project. In any case, during this transition, there's going to be a temporal absence of all Eggs and NPCs. I know these are difficult changes, and I repeat, it's temporary until we adjust to these new conditions that will improve the performance of this new structure that's being made from scratch, both in the administrative and financial part. I'd like to reintegrate people fro the QSMP as time goes by if a financial viability can be found for the project Taking advantage of this update to tell you guys that within the changes of the server as it is, creators will have full control of their lore and stories. The team will not intervene in the way that it was being done. Moreover, efforts will be made to change the competitive dynamics inside the game so as to ease up the game style for the creators. Like I'm saying, all of these changes, and more, are being carrying out to have the project as best as possible, and they're being done little by little.
