I slipped off my shoes and placed them near the doorstep. My socks glided against the furnished planks as I slid to our shared office. I dragged my backpack behind me, feeling the weight of my laptop, notebooks, and textbooks. Once I made it to the room, I placed my bag on the chair and unpacked all my belongings onto my desk.

Today was too exhausting, and the one thing I dreaded doing right now was to open my laptop and be faced with more work. Instead of taking my laptop with me, I grabbed my phone and dragged myself out of the office and into the bedroom.

After changing into my loungewear, I snuggled myself into silk sheets, shivering a little from the cold fabric wrapping around my body. Ignoring the chill, I held up my phone with both of my hands and swiped open the messaging app to text my boyfriend. I glanced at the past messages, realizing that Wil hasn’t responded to any of my messages from this afternoon. The last time he texted was this morning when was telling me what time he would come home. Sighing, I typed in another message in hopes that this time he would respond.

“Hey, I’m home now. Too tired to cook food today. Let’s order something when you get home? <3”

I clicked send before clicking off my phone and placing it on the nightstand. My eyes fluttered close, and slowly, I drifted off to sleep.

I woke to the sound of footsteps clicking against the ground. With my hands I pushed my body up to examine the noise. From the corner of my eye, I caught a glimpse of a familiar tall figure headed toward the office. A small smile formed on my face as I carefully got out of bed.

My bare freet pressed against the cream colored carpet. I wandered around the hallway before finding the office door slightly ajar. Through the crack I saw Wil hunched over his computer. His sweater’s sleeves were rolled up to his elbows and his fingers hastily clicked against his keyboard. Quietly, I approached him from behind, throwing my arms around his shoulders and hugging him close.

Wil quietly hummed in response. I titled my head, pecking his cheek, but he didn’t react and instead his eyes stayed glue to his screen. My eyebrows slightly furrowed, but nonetheless, I continued hugging him.

“Hey, sweetheart.” I mumbled in a croaky voice.

“Hey,” he replied blankly.

“Did you see my texts earlier today?”

“Uh huh,” He said absently. “I saw the message after I ate though. Sorry.”

I felt my chest tighten a little, hurting at his absence. All I wanted in the moment was a hug and a conversation about each other’s day, but instead, he was absorbed in his work and couldn’t even make the effort to look at me.

“Wil, can we talk?” I asked.

He slightly shook his head. “No, not right now, honey. This video has to be out by tomorrow and one of our editors hasn’t been feeling well so I took up the work.” He explained briefly.

“But you’re already busy working at the studio…” I mumbled.

“I know, but I can finish this up by tonight. Just give me some time, please.” He requested. My heart skipped a little, feeling like a dog that had been put aside for a brand new puppy.

“Wil, you haven’t talked to me all day. Could we at least just have dinner together?” I nearly pleaded.

“I already said I just ate, (y/n).” Wil said rather sternly. “Please can I just finish my work?”

“But I want to spend time with you.” I said, speaking up a little bit. I unwrapped my hands away from him and stepped back a little. He turned his chair a little to face me with one of his hands still on the keyboard. He looked up at me, a stressed but furrowed expression on his face. I wrapped my arms around myself, hugging my own chest.

“I want to spend time with you but you’re basically prioritizing this work over me.” I said again. “I understand that sometimes you have too much work. I understand that. But we haven’t been spending time with each other for the past few days and it’s driving me crazy. I just want to relax with you, Wil.” I bit the insides of my cheek. Wil, in turn, sighed and rubbed his nosebridge.

“I’m not prioritizing work over you, (y/n), I’ve just been busy lately and this argument is just stressing me out even more.” His words were spat out like venom.

“Which is why I’m asking that we just spend time together! This isn’t just for me, but it’s for you too.” I threw my hands up, frustrated. “Wilbur, we can relax together! You’re acting like this isn’t stressing me out either!”

Wil got up from his seat now. His tall figure nearly towered over me, making me slightly cower. “I DON’T WANT TO FUCKING RELAX RIGHT NOW, (Y/N)! I HAVE SHIT TO DO!”

I stepped back, nearly stumbling. Without realizing, tears were running down my burning hot cheeks. The air went cold and I felt this hallowing emptiness surrounding me. A ringing was bouncing in my eardrums and goosebumps ran through my arms and legs. He looked down at me, eyes wide as if he just realized what words escaped his lips. Before he could say a word, I walked out of the office and back into bed, slamming the door behind me.

I jumped into the mattress and buried my face deep under the sheets. I quietly sobbed into the fabric, not caring for the tears darkening the silk. It didn’t take but a couple minutes later to hear the creaking of the door and soft footsteps approaching the bed. I lied still under the covers as I felt the mattress dip from a newfound weight.

Wil sat there for a while. His knee shook a little, making a tiny thumping noise against the floor. I was turned away from him with his lower back lightly pressing against the heel of my foot.

“(y/n)..?” He softly called out for me. “Are you awake..?”

I shifted a little, moving my foot away from him to let him know I was listening. He sighed with his leg coming to a stop.

“(y/n), I’m sorry. I—I’ve just been really stressed, but that gives me no right to start yelling at you. And me being really busy has been taking away the time with you.” He paused a little bit, presumably licking his lips. I still didn’t have the courage to move. Instead I laid still, not daring to move. “I’m really sorry, (y/n).” He apologized again.

A deep sigh huffed from my nostrils before I sat up, letting the sheets cascade off my body. He turned his head to look at me, his feet still planted on the ground. I looked into his eyes, seeing the pained looked deep in those irises.

“Y-You know I don’t like loud noises.” I croaked out, my voice cracking with my words. He slowly nodded, bringing his legs up on the bed to fully face me. “And I really don’t like it when you yell. Please, I really just wanted to spend time together.”

“And we will spend time together.” He grabbed my hands and cradled them in his. “I’ll message Elodie right now if she could finish the work. But right now, it’s going to be me and you together, okay? We can maybe catch up on our show and I’ll order some food for you, okay?” He reassured, rubbing his thumb against the back of my hand. “Maybe I’ll steal some fries from you every once in a while.”

I giggled a little. “Noooo! Get your own food!” I whined, lightly pushing his shoulder. He chuckled in response before wrapping his arms around me, pulling me close to his chest. I wrapped my arms around his torso in response, breathing in his scent.

“I just missed you, Wil, you know that…” I softly whispered. He nodded, running his fingers through my hair.

“I missed you too. I promise I do.” He whispered back. His voice was low and deep but he made sure to maintain his volume. It was soothing, something I could fall asleep to,

and most importantly,

it wasn’t loud.

Bolt!

I have been informed that a certain Disney movie came out 15 years ago today! So for that, I decided I wanted to post this older piece of a certain dog that happens to be the lead role in said movie :]

For anyone who doesn't know, Bolt, both the movie and the character, hold a very very special place in my heart. I loved the movie ever since I saw it for the first time as a kid, but it really came into a whole new realm once I rediscovered/fixated on it during a very difficult time in my life, starting in March of 2020. During that spring and summer especially was a really hard time for me, and Bolt really helped me get through it.

I don't kin characters but Bolt is probably what would be considered closest to that for me. I really relate to his journey of self-discovery throughout the movie and finding out who he is, because I was going through a lot of the same stuff at that time. I love all of the other characters of course, and the found family dynamic especially, but he will always be my favorite <3

For awhile, I also collected a bunch of Bolt merch during 2020 and 2021, mostly plushies, of which I have 7, plus one of both Mittens and Rhino. Perhaps I'll share those another time but they're all still with me and live on my bed. Two of them in fact, my original smaller one and one of my two big ones, come with me to my college dorm. So plainly, they are still very important to me.

Bolt is still a big comfort character of course as well, although within the last year, he's taken a more backseat role behind Jenny. He's still there for sure, hence why I have my cc: Bolt tag haha. It will always be my favorite Disney movie too. I know it's not perfect, but there's a distinction between "favorite" and "best" for a reason yknow.

i don't really know! i didn't have any strategy when i first started posting, i just had hopes lol i think its because me and my mutuals have the same taste for cc so they help out reblogging to their cc finds and it keeps going from there, so pls dont gatekeep ur wonderful recolors, even if they "flop" i still think you will get a lot of satisfaction sharing with ppl that are important to you here!💜

ur change up/cheers set is so good!!!!!!! pls share ur secrets on how u did the fade from one mv to the other im literally obsessed w ur talent

ask and ye shall receive!! another cc taught me this way back so I’m more than happy to pass the info along! I’m gonna reply with a tutorial just in case anyone else wants to know how to do the fade and isn’t too familiar with making gifs or doing edits to them!

I’ll preface the entire thing real quick with the most important thing for anyone to keep in mind when doing this is the amount of colors. I started the change/up cheers set with change up clips that had a lot of different colors and since gifs can only contain 256 colors it exceeded that and was very noisy and grainy as a result! (Im sure most if not all gif makers already know the color limit but for anyone starting gif making or unfamiliar with the process that might be reading this, the color limit is with ANY gif not just ones that fade in)

doing the fade in probably looks complicated but it’s super easy! this is all done in photoshop and first thing you want to do is make the two gifs you want to fade into each other. do any sharpening, recoloring, etc and make sure they have the same amount of frames and the same frame delay. the gifs need to be in frames, I don’t know of a way to do this with things in timeline. so here’s two of mine from that set

you’re going to leave the first gif exactly how it is for now, almost all the changes will be made on gif #2. to create the fade you’ll be changing individual frames a little at a time. for the change up/cheers set I used six frames for the fade (but you can always play with how many you want to use for your own creations). you start with the very first frame and put the opacity down very low. you then go to the next frame and lower the opacity on that as well, but not as much. you’ll do this for each frame you want to fade in with the regular 100% opacity frames at the end of that. for this set I went in the order of 10%, 25%, 50%, 75%, 85%, and 95% opacity. much like how many frames are in the fade the opacity percents aren’t set in stone you can play with it and see what you like best

at this point your frames for gif #2 should look like this

just make sure if you didn’t earlier that both gifs you’re working with are at the same frame delay (this set was at 0.06) because that’s important. next on the right side of the timeline window under the three lines you want to click ‘select all frames’ and then click ‘copy frames’

you’re going to move back to gif #1 now and select the last six frames in this case (in general you want to select however many frames you changed the opacity of because this is where the second gif will layer over the first gif)

while those frames are selected go back to the three lines again and pick ‘paste frames’. when the lil window for that pops up make sure you pick ‘paste over selection’ and hit the check box on ‘link added layers’

you should now see the fade over top of those selected frames and then the 100% opacity frames from gif #2 after. it should look something like this!

you can now change the frame delay overall since it’s all one combined gif at this point and then all you have to do is export it like normal! (easy shortcut is shift+ctrl+alt+s) if you have a watermark how I added mine after was converting it to timeline, adding it there, and then exporting one final time

and that’s it! you have your finished product!

absolutely not a stupid question at all tho!! a lot of writers and other cc's will say a resounding "yes" and while i do think that people should reblog fics they like, if its initially like... super daunting to do so, i think its okay to like? getting used to tumblr can be kinda hard in the beginning, but i do highly recommend reblogging fics--even if you don't have any followers btw, the engagement still means a lot to ppl!! even if ppl don't put tags or anything, it says "i like this and i want other people to see it" since likes aren't public the way they are on other websites (or at all, if you turn them off)

please don't feel bad for not doing it since you're new!! literally i think most people don't understand how tumblr functions but that's pretty normal for joining a website haha

i'll explain things under the readmore and you can let me know in another ask if you have any questions!!

so full disclosure: i'm working on desktop and things are usually pretty similar on mobile, but there's a few differences that i can try to explain if you're on mobile!! but for reblogging:

at the bottom of a post, you'll see a couple things. they're in the same place pretty much for both desktop and mobile. if a post has been interacted with (through a reply (the little bubble icon), a reblog (the arrows), or liked (heart)), it'll have notes! you can nowadays see what other people write in their replies/reblogs by clicking on the notes key and looking through the different tabs there, but some people limit their replies (the bubble will be grayed out as a result) or turn off reblogs (reblog arrows will be grayed out).

excuse the extra buttons on mine: im on desktop and i have an extension called xkit active <3 (it allows me to block posts + do quick tags when i post fics)

as you can see: this post i made (which is dk uts skdfhds its the first thing i have thats not my pinned post) 48 notes, followed by a series of buttons. ignore the first two (they're from xkit), the rest are what you'll typically see on a post.

in order:

the single arrow can be used to share the post. either you an send it to other tumblrs (not all people have DMs open, and i'd honestly say ask before you DM someone if you don't know them well), or you can copy the link, share it on twitter/facebook, or do other things w the "more" button like send stuff via text n whatnot. its very possible to send things from a sideblog, if you ever have one and want to do it that way

on mobile your main blog will be at the top of the page with a little down arrow next to it: all you gotta do is click it and decide what blog you wanna send it from. on desktop:

you can see the bubble next to "your message here" isn't my icon since the message would be coming from my main. all you gotta do is click that little bubble (of your own icon) and you can send things from different blogs <3

anyway!!

the little speech bubble is the button for replies. tapping/clicking it will just open up the replies tab.

reblog on both desktop and mobile will open up the tab to reblog something. if you're on mobile, though, and wanna reblog something quickly, you can press and hold. i have sideblogs so i can't confirm if only having one blog will just auto-reblog it, but with sideblogs it'll pop up 2-3 of your recently used blogs (if you have more than 3).

on desktop:

this is what reblogs will look like! it's similar to posts, but the difference is just the blue "reblog" button compared to a blue "post" button. important distinction: the #tags is for tagging stuff (or, yknow, posting thoughts if you want lmao the tagging system on tumblr is kinda broken). if a post asks for something "in the tags" then you type in the tags as opposed to the main body <3

anyway, that lil heart outline is the like button <3 it just says that you like a post :) they don't get broadcast onto other people's feeds the way they do on other websites, but you can have them public or private through messing w settings

new simblr

ahh... shit... here we go again.

hi! sul-sul whatever lol! i had a simblr once upon a time but i got burnt out and it crashed to the ground hard. i wanna be a part of the sims community again and maybe share some of my gameplay for sure. it actually makes me play the sims more when others are watching my game with me, it makes me excited and i liked when i had commentary that helped me direct my stories in ways i wouldnt have otherwise. feel free to follow me! i will be in chronic semi-construction until i find a theme that pisses me off to mess with that i finally just leave it!!!!! (no seriously, i am so picky about how my account looks that i dont know how to stop, love me anyways pls)

he got these splotches of purple on his hands and his mom was like ?? are u getting into fights ?? are you okay???

and q rlly doesn’t mind aside from the weird questions when the colors are a little too close to red or purple

but!! nowadays mostly you just sketch w a pen

it’s during your classes usually,,, ur an art history major and you need something to occupy your hands (which is actually why you started drawing in the first place)

so during the day quackity will acquire lil sketches of famous paintings,,, or sometimes originals,,, but they’re always washed off before the day is done

sometimes random art facts/theories/studies but he has no idea why someone would write him about van gogh’s use of color

*cue u aggressively scrubbing your skin in the shower bc you always forget how permanent the ink is*

quackity is sort of... hesitant when it comes to writing on his skin. esp with streaming, he’s scared that fans will react badly ,, that negative thought keeps him at bay most days

I had a blast watching Eurovision on Saturday!!

I was an iceland stan from the get go, an absolute bop and I love the entire bands vibes I just want to be their pal. I loved everything from the outfits, the keyboards and the choreo! I firmly believe that if they had had the chance to perform it live they would have placed a lot higher/ maybe even have a won. Certainly my winners!!

I really liked Finland!! Again straight up vibes. I was able to cross of middle finger on my Eurovision bingo and take a shot so I followed the instructions of the song very well!

General Eurovision: I find it hilarious flo rida was there yet no one really cared 💀 I think Germany’s song was very fun and enjoyed the vibes, perfect song to sing along to and take shots with, I feel bad for him bc he made some super sad tiktoks about wanting to write better music :((( I also very much liked Italy, the entire band are gorgeous and I have been streaming their songs on Spotify!

Combining both: Eurovision fandom, I love love tweeting the show and seeing everyone else is tweeting with you! Also love the many many memes

It’s honestly my happy place! I believe fandom should be a fun little side hobby to escape from capitalism for a bit! I love meeting new people, in fact I’ve met my literal best friends here who I love with all my heart! I love having a common interest! I think it’s so fun being able to find people who like the same things as you bc I’ve lived in a small town all my life and coming across someone with the same interests has been rare. I love that it provides you with an opportunity to meet people from around the world and share experiences with them. Everyone is so supportive and I literally glow whenever I receive a nice dm or a comment or a reblog! Obviously like anything it has it’s downsides but I try not to let those get me down! My dms are always open if anyone wants a chat or to get to know new people :))))

Ok but am i the only one that's a little ???? Over that DM that ohmwrecker shared on twitter where jack and him were talking about mark?? From what I could gather jack was like yeah mark wasnt exactly how I pictured cuz i looked up to him sm (he's a human being? Ofc he's gonna act different than his persona?) Not to go digging because Ohmwrecker is shit too.. I really do want to dig deeper on the whole Jack situation here.. Jack is the piece of shit here. Not Mark. Even tho he's done stupid and problematic shit too.. Jack is the one who consistently STAYED and CONTINUED TO BE problematic af and a bigot. Mark is the one CC in this situation who understands what accountability is in regards to not fearing to call other people out. Jack is the coward of covering things up and dismissing things that very much were ALSO his fault. That's all I want to know and I hope Ohm leaks on this so we can ATLEAST show the nasty JSE stans how disgusting this human being is. tommyinnit- okay listen, mans is a child, and from the few live-action vids that ive seen, doesnt seem to be very handy with tools. i couldnt even find that he has any hobbies outside minecraft, so unless he can MLG clutch irl, i dont think he has much going for him 1/10

purpled- basically the same as tommy, idk much about him and i couldnt see that he has any extra hobbies. the apocalypse will not be merciful to minecrafters 2/10

ranboo- see above, he’s higher because of that height and height alone 2/10

niki- i may get some shit for this one, but i think she wouldnt do well because shes too sympathetic, she might try to save those left behind or share, leaving her in more danger than before for the sake of kindness. she also is sensitive to light apparently so thats also a disadvantage 2/10

karl- idk alot about karl either, but im pretty sure he loses, like, every mr beast challenge i think thats like his thing, so even if idk wtf those challenges are, imma say that sets him up for failure in my eyes irl 3/10

quackity- the dude got tired from wii sports. i dont know if he has any irl abilities, so imma have to do him dirty with this one 3/10

fundy- hes a coder, a really good one at that, so while that may help him in the logistics and planning department, i cant say the same for physical ability 3/10

antfrost- idk what hes done irl while being a server admin for years, but hes read warriors, which although may mean he didnt get out much as a kid, it also kinda tells you about herbs and plants?? idk if its accurate but its something 3/10

tubbo- same logic, hes a kid, i think kids are automatically gonna function worse than adults, however, apparently he used to be a trampolinist??? that at least means that he has good stamina and at least a bit of strength, so i think if he didnt let his emotions cloud him he could kick at least a little bit of ass 4/10

eret- he seems to be willing to do almost anything to get things to turn out his way in the smp, but irl he seems very charitable, so idk how that would translate in an apocalypse scenario. hes gonna be about midrange because i cant say what theyd do 4/10

technoblade- im sorry techno but he only plays minecraft and reads literature, i think he might have enough disconnect in order to sacrifice other people’s needs for his own, and i wouldnt put it past him to take what he needs from others, but i cant give him much more than that 4/10

skeppy- you may think ive put him too far up, and yes, this dude somehow managed to run a 20-minute mile. yes, he only has 3 shirts but still has two cars, yes, i dont think hed be able to sacrifice someone else in a pinch. however what everyone is forgetting is that he has connections to the weirdest assortment of people i know, and could probably convince them to help him out. alone? f tier, dead in 3 days. with his car gassed up and knowing where his friends are at? he could last a while i think 4/10

sapnap- he apparently said his worst fear is being alone and losing his friends. which? i mean, i think both of those things would happen in this scenario. he does have jock energy though so hes lower-middle range 4/10

george- geroge is gonna be the complete center on which everyone else is judged. i dont know anything about this man irl. for all i know he could be a gold-medallist weight lifter. he seems to be fairly quick-thinking and independent, so i could see him doing fine maybe 5?/10

wilbur- a wildcard like george except what i do know about him seems way more powerful and also unhinged. everything i learn about him irl scares me i think he could live on being a sneaky little theif bastard 6/10

captain puffy- uhh idk its just her vibe. i think she could do well 6/10

punz- he looks like he could and would kick my ass 7/10

awesamdude- dudes really smart, and 6′7?? he has the reach to knock zombies or whatever TF out 6′7/10

schlatt- he lives in new york, owns at least one glock, and im sure is willing to betray anyone in order to get to the top, i think hed do pretty good 8/10

badboyhalo- okay listen this may be partially favoritism but this is by no means a professional list. he can shoot guns and throw knives and axes, knows how to cook and has beaten up someone at least once. im gonna say his only weaknesses are being a bit forgetful and overly sympathetic, but whatever i think he can get past that 9/10

dream- man, i really didnt wanna give mans the dub here, but i think i have to. 1. its known that all florida men are a different breed, and dream is Peak florida man. hes one of the only ones i could find that ever played an actual sport, and his quick-thinking skills displayed in manhunt is pretty much unmatched. he also shows a hint of cold logic in his actions, doing whatever it takes to gain popularity on youtube in the beginning, and i think that could translate to real life as well. overall, i cant say i was expecting this result, but i think its what i have to do 10/10
