thinking about men who would do pushups with you lying beneath them, so everytime they push down on their arms, their lips brush against yours ♡

"hi," he says out breathlessly, his thin silver chain dangling close to your face.

"hi." you reply out with a small giggle, lying still as if you are about to get mummified.

He lets out a soft breathy sound, "hah..." pushing himself up, your eyes moving to muscles taughtening in his arms.

You’re sort of trapped, with his hands caging parallel to the sides of your face, his legs trapping yours till you almost feel bad how he is controlling his arms from by mistake collapsing upon you.

“You’re making this so difficult for me, pretty.” He says, but doesn’t ask you to move, he’s enjoying this way too much, and he can’t lie, this angle always makes you look gorgeous.

“You’re not complaining.” You hum out, poking his cheek.

“M’not.” He replies, pecking on your lips as he lowers himself down and goes back up.

up. down. *kiss* up. down. *kiss* up. down.

“So spoiled...” He whispers out under his breath before lowering himself down completely, his thighs folded as he leans over you, cradling your head in his arms— your lips collide messily.

“Thinking of another workout now.”

I’m sorry but it’s absolutely hilarious and yet adorable how the series handles Broppy’s relationship. First we get them traveling together as rivals (which was a bit more one- sided on Branch’s part) before slowing learning how to work together and to change for the other. Also it’s heavily implied Branch has an underline crush on Poppy. Then we get True Colors, and everyone thinks “okay they’re in love now”.

Some people/audience members are on board, others not so much. BUT THEN it turns out that the “I love you” they say to each other was a PLATONIC love confession. Like “you’re my friend, and I value you.” Which is still sweet, but was unexpected. (Though it does explain why the writers decided to put another platonic love confession scene between Bridget and Poppy. Yeah, I get it now)

So they just go through the journey as bffs who have feelings for each other but won’t say anything. And again, they learn how to work and grow together as a team and make the necessary changes to benefit the other. And then FINALLY we get the romantic love confession.

But it doesn’t stop there, oh no. Now we get adventure #3, this time with them as a full on couple. And they are actually really cute. Actually the film doesn’t focus that much on their relationship but we see hints of how they are as a couple.

Poppy is still all over the place but she’s much less in her own head and far more open to listening and being a good girlfriend.

Branch on the other hand is still occasionally getting exasperated by her energy but this time also has an appreciation for it. Also he learns to open up to her a little more and she’s there to listen and accept him with open arms. (Bonus points to their flirty dynamic because wow. They were adorable here.)

And it’s ONLY THEN (7 years after the first film) when they get their first on screen kiss.

Anyway. In conclusion: Trolls is the slowest slow burn I have ever seen in a Dreamworks trilogy.

went into a queer-owned cafe yesterday and they had this shelf of asexual books to borrow and read and it made me quite emotional which is silly but like... this place puts a big emphasis on being a queer safe space and stuff, and i guess that subconsciously i have been feeling like there's not a lot of space for aspec people in queer spaces since to other people queerness is so often sexual? i guess? like you go to gay bars or drag events and it's all about sex and sexyness and even just online queer spaces and fandoms can be SO horny sometimes that it just feels like we don't quite fit in there </3 so anyways shoutout to the little asexual library in the coffee shop i was in because it made me very happy <3

Something that I've noticed ever since the Smiling Critters were introduced is that they can so easily be paired off into complementary duos, ones that are specifically designed to teach children fundamental lessons about life and self-care from two different angles. It's really interesting to me.

Like obviously you have Dogday and Catnap, with their sun/moon, dog/cat dichotomy, that stress how important it is to have fun and get things done during the day, but also that it's important to wind down, relax, and get a good night's sleep.

Bubba Bubbaphant and Craftycorn were introduced as a duo in the Smiling Critter show's intro, and their dichotomy is quite obvious. They are basically the right and left sides of the brain personified. Bubba is the left side of the brain, logical, analytical, focused on math and science. Craftycorn is the right side of the brain, creative and imaginative, focused on the arts and self-expression. They represent learning and academia in all its forms, the different ways people engage with and understand the world.

Hoppy Hopscotch and Kickin' Chicken form the sportsmanship duo. They are both portrayed as enjoying sports and the outdoors, but in different ways that highlight the different ways sports can be played and enjoyed and also what it entails to be successful at them. Hoppy Hopscotch may be loud and impatient, but she is also a team player, shown in her willingness to slow down her fast pace to make sure none of her friends are left behind. Kickin' Chicken, on the other hand, is laid-back, relaxed, and chill, the described "cool kid" of the group, but he's also described as having a ton of perseverance, more of a "slow and steady wins the race" type of person.

This leaves Bobby Bearhug and Picky Piggy as the last pair. Fittingly, these two are all about how to meet the fundamental needs of yourself and others. Bobby teaches children how to nourish themselves emotionally through showing and receiving care from others, while Picky teaches them how good food is important to nourish the body and soul. Depriving oneself of either of these things only makes oneself and therefore everyone around one miserable, because those fundamental needs are no longer being met.

Like fr, this is some pretty genius marketing right here. You have enough characters that every kid will have their favorite, but not so many that any would get lost in the shuffle, because the lessons each one of them would teach would be integral to the group as a whole. It really makes me that much sadder we saw basically nothing of the Smiling Critters during the game itself, because Mob Games struck gold with this concept, only to ultimately do nothing with it. :/

But I guess that's what fandom is for, eh?

Not sure if your requests are still open or if you still write for Killua but I've being wondering about this for a while. I didn't think it, but turns out silva and kikyo do actually love each other. So killua probably grew up seeing those expressions of "love" and thinking that's normal for a relationship. How do you think that would affect his relationship with reader? And if it isn't too much, how do you think his overall experience with his family effects it? Because I highly doubt after everything he's gone through that his relationship with the reader would be perfectly normal. What're your thoughts?

It would be... tumultuous. I doubt he would be open to affection. His acts of love would be very reserved, and so would his approach to you regarding his feelings.

It's not just his parents, his siblings too are so cold, the first warmth he experienced was from Gon.

I am sorry if it sounds creepy, but I don't know how to put it. I believe he would to some extent think that only love in heterosexual relations is expressed through 'procreation' courtesy of his parents never being together and him having so many siblings.

Vulnerability is something that is incredibly difficult for him. It would take ages for him to crack out of his shell, but the key is to be gentle. He's not used to it and he is embarrassed, but he cares, he really does. He'll show affection through small things like giving you chocolates, sticky notes etc etc.

Eventually, when his shell cracks (would take a long time if it's a romantic relationship because it's something deeper than just friendship) I think he would be a very quality time kind guy.

Idk if this is short, but this was a first thought kinda request, I don't take these usually...
