NGL I have STRONG opinions about digital releases omitting the letters to the editor section of older comics. I feel like the letters are a part of comic history and should be aggressively preserved.
This explains Jordan’s immediate instinct to kiss Marie when Marie was being well, nice.
Not to say that Jordan didn’t already have affection for Marie, but Marie being a good person and having no agenda gave Jordan the permission to be the softie that they actually are.
i think, when the queen does find out that penelope is LW, eventually, i've got this unshakeable feeling that she'll be very proud of her. there's emphasis on the first half of the season that the queen is bored, she's seeing the same old stuff, and she practically adores when women come into own, like francesca sneaking away to play the piano very beautifully. so i think after the shock of it there will be a moment when she turns around and says "well bloody done"
day ??? of trying to write that price x throat training but getting derailed by how soft he becomes :((
all crooning and outpouring petnames because more than anything, the fact that you're letting him use you is the biggest turn-on. it has him swelling under his sweats, chub filling up at every of your shy looks. it has him pinching your chin, thumb swiping over your mouth like he can't fathom how those pretty lips would be soon wrapped around his flesh.
christ.
"open up f'me, darlin'?" he asks, breaths turning ragged when you drop your jaw open, following his every quiet beckoning. he presses his thumb on the flat of your tongue, unable to hold himself back now that you've presented him the wetness that'd take all of him down.
and you would, wouldn't you? you'd swallow all of him, greedily and impatiently?
Sometimes I wonder if Leo’s instant latching onto Señor Hueso is due to the fact that Hueso is an older adult man (specifically a father at that) who, while fed up with Leo a lot of the time, still deigns to give him a modicum of attention.
Considering Leo’s a Leo, he craves that attention from a father figure, even if said attention isn’t positive. As long as he’s acknowledged, that’s enough for him, since he’s already used to being his own biggest (and often only) fan as is.
Luckily, Hueso does come around and (reluctantly) forms a connection with Leo as well, but again, I have to wonder if Leo picked out Hueso for a reason.
yk there's a lot of talk about the way merlin is practically a god but lives as an unassuming servant, and seeing this surprises druids/other magic users. i wanna see kind of the same thing happen to arthur with the people of his kingdom. we know arthur so intimately, from merlin's pov, but i wanna see him as a living legend. stories of his valor spreading across land, blown out of proportion and missing details. “the prince slayed the great dragon and gifted its head to the king!” “some say the goddess blessed him when he was born, when she took the queen back. how else does one survive an attack by a questing beast?” “he held out his hand and the sword stuck in solid stone flew to him! iwan says meredith’s aunt saw it herself!” “the word has come, king arthur defeated annis’ champion—a giant of a man!” old men discussing arthur’s policies, comparing them with those of previous rulers, and being glad that it's him on the throne “finally, a good fucking king.” people having faith that their ruler is generous and fair and can be approached in times of need, and having the comforting knowledge that he would do his best to help because that's what he did with the other village last year! young boys dreaming to join his army and young girls daydreaming about a fairy tale ending with him (or vice versa, obv). just... arthur of his people.
what I'm saying is i want an outsider pov character study of arthur pendragon king of camelot. hope that helps
