Things I hope will happen next session

All the reds have the same task: "Turn everyone red". Some alliances will turn their teammates immediately, some will wait until they're the last yellow.

When all the yellows are gone, everyone gets a new task, which is "Be the last one standing", which gives them the same free reign as the reds in previous series.

The main conflict will be Mounders vs. Gem and the Scotts. Joel is still salty about Scott causing Lizzie's death, BDubs is still angry at Gem turning him red, and Pearl is probs still annoyed at Impulse's "Boogey" shenanigans. Their hotheadedness would cause Gem and the Scotts to act against them.

The Heart Foundation allies with Gem and the Scotts because of their close proximity to each other and minus the boogey apocalypse, they haven't really wronged them unlike Grian, Etho, and Scar, who are allied with the Mounders.

The Roomies ally with the Mounders because Etho has a soft spot for BDubs and Mumbo (rest his mustache) was his bestie for a session, and while Cleo has a soft spot for Scott, she doesn't have one for BigB, who is on the other side, and she and Pearl have a Pupper Alliance.

Martyn made a deal with BDubs last session that once everyone is red, they would deal with Gem. So he'd pretend to be allied with Gem and the Scotts, and eventually, betray them.

Scar would go to every team to try and make up for his villainy actions last session. The Heart Foundation (and by extension GatS) reject him because he burnt their heart down, so he goes to the Mounders/Roomies, who only accept him out of necessity due to the looming war.

War happens, blah blah blah, only one person is still alive (hopefully a new winner). They succeeded in their task, so they go to the Secret Keeper and press the button. The SK does it chant thing, and afterwards, the winner dies.

You know it only hit me now that honestly, our dear cast of HTP could just grab any Joe Shmoe off the death-ridden street and use them as keys to their counterparts to get in and out of hels. It doesn't have to be a helsian in the overworld or an overworlder in hels.

Hels Tek could in theory just grab someone or use themselves (the idea of them shoving Clear Cut on the redstone ore and popping out to see fucking Mumbo Jumbo working on his latest giant-ass redstone idea in single player is hilarious), get to the overworld, then start the manhunt from there by portal hopping and grapevining. They don't NEED Bravo, but it's so much easier to find Tango that way. Though they did kinda need a base point at first to puzzle it out from Bravo's code, so they needed him at first. They needed to test, to figure it out. But now that they have it, they kinda don't need to have Bravo to get to the Overworld, but they need him for a fast route to Tango.

And also it shows that it's definitely not a matter of getting out of Hels, they just want Tango.

Now I'm thinking. My brain is turning. Way down the line, if these portals manage to be found out at all, people can get out of Hels by getting to their counterparts. And it would be Business. Like BIG BUSINESS. First they need the initial portal. A large and powerful enough group to gather the resources. A big company or a massive enough town. Once they get the first portal open to a server that is single player or is a weak server against them, they have overworld resources. And now they’re selling wood and mobs and everything that was once scarce, it's now bountiful. Flood the market or control the supply to increase demand. That's E-co-nom-ics baby. And they'll have plenty of resources to keep the portals open too.

And then we have the option of selling an escape from Hels. A privilege for the rich, something the lower people can only dream of. They scrape for even the tiniest bit of enough to buy the chance to escape. Prices only the richest can afford, but others fight and work and slave (good workers for our richest YesYes) for the chance. A one way ticket out.

They can't come back, you see. That would undercut the advantage of being able to sell Overworld resources after all. They'd bring back their own resources, and they would have seen the portal workings (though they prob would hide all they could of the redstone)

Espionage, spying, bribes, threats, all sorts of schemes to get their own portals.

Hels Tek could do this tbh. They have the starting advantage. Even if the portals don't make it out of Hels knowledge, if they only pivoted to portal travel, they'd be richer than any farm. But let's be real, Atlas will never see that venture, he's too obsessed with the one that got away. His white whale. His orange blaze.

Okay I should get back to writing my fics and not HTP headcanons, I'll use up my writing juice for the day!!

DAMN… under the right circumstances i could totally see that happening… very on-brand.

Okay so… it known that at some point Grian kills and/or attacks another person, how does Mumbo react to that?

I can see a scene parallel of when he saw an Outsider eating a person alive outside his window and he threw up on his floor. Is that what causes to have a breakdown and leave? Similar to when Grian accidentally attacked him does that make him spiral that he is with a monster and knowing that and *seeing* that are two very different things

ohohohoooo this one's really fun ok-

Mumbo reacts. Badly. to even the thought of Grian killing someone. The first thing is that he *thinks* Grian killed Scar (how else would he be able to mimic Scar's screams?) so that already grounds Grian's nature in reality quite a bit.

And you're right, Grian attacking Mumbo leaves Mumbo really afraid and forces him to acknowledge that Grian is designed to kill. He's designed to kill *humans*.

Mumbo sees Grian kill other monsters before a human, which helps him warm up to the idea a little. Grian protects Mumbo and tries so hard not to let his instincts get in the way of their relationship. But when Grian inevitably does kill a human, Mumbo is horrified. It's something I don't think Grian would want him to see, so maybe it is either an accident or Mumbo followed Grian when he shouldn't have.

It's gory and unsettling. Grian's form is probably more shadowy or unstable during the attack, as he's pretty much just focused on his prey, which kicks and screams and dies a very graphic death. Mumbo almost certainly throws up about it. Poor guy.

Of course, Mumbo has to acknowledge that if he wants to stay with Grian, he has to accept this. This is something that Grian can't repress forever. In the past, his flock would only attack humans if they ventured too close to their territory, but the apocalypse changed something in their psyches, in their genetics, and there is no way to go back, realistically.

But! Grian *can* survive without hunting humans. It is just very difficult. He does try to keep himself from hurting humans, for Mumbo's sake, especially after seeing how deeply affected Mumbo is by it. Yeah...

“Well, I can teach you something else?” Mumbo suggested, “I’m a bit rusty but I know other card games.”

“Like what?”

“It’s been forever, but I’m pretty sure I know blackjack!”

“Blackjack? What’s that?” Scar sat up a bit more.

Mumbo grabbed the blood stained pack of cards they had found. “So the goal of the game is to get as close to 21 as possible. We’ll be playing simple so we’re only going to do ‘hit’ and ‘stand’.”

Scar looked up at him. “You forgot the other terms?”

“I forgot the other words.” He nodded. “So I’m going to give you a card. What is it?”

“Eight.”

“Alright. So I have a card too. If you think you have closer to 21 than me, you say ‘stand’. If you want another card, you say ‘hit’.”

“Hit.” Scar said confidently.

Scar cheered.

Mumbo laughed and pushed over his ration pack. “Good job, kid!”

“Thank you!” Scar giggled, adding the package to his growing pile of food. “Maybe we bet on something else though?”

“Hmmm.. are you scared you’re gonna lose it all?” Mumbo teased

“Wh- No!” The kid spluttered, “No, I am very confident and the bestest blackjack player left alive!”

“It might be only us left alive.”

“Still better than you!” He stuck out his tongue. “Look at how good i’m doing!”

“Am I letting you win?” Mumbo hummed.

“How DARE you!” He gasped dramatically, “this is entirely my talent!”

“Wait till I teach you poker.”

“This was a stupid idea.” Mumbo muttered to himself as Scar won another pack of food. “Of course he’s winning.”

“Hm?”

“Nothing, don’t worry.” Mumbo smiled, “I bet when you’re older, you’ll have the best poker face. You’ll be the best businessman ever!”

“But why do I need to lie if I'm going to be a business person?” Scar tilted his head, “that doesn’t seem very nice.”

“Companies aren’t nice.” Mumbo shrugged, “but capitalism seems to work where I’m from.”

Scar got a far-away look in his eyes. “Capitalism…” he whispered to himself, nodding a bit.

Okay so @plumadot’s posting about her D&D Traffic AU has made me remember how much I love my Dungeons & Traffic AU & I Must Talk About It Now.

Basically all the characters are in a modern setting, playing a rotating cast D&D game DMed by The Watchers. (I never really decided how that works. Plan was for everything in out of game space be completely mundane except for the floating purple eye behind the DM screen lol.)

But yeah! So I picked classes & heritages that the characters would pick themselves based on play styles & preferences. &, uh, here they are!

Bdubs: Firbolg, Light Domain Cleric of Helios

Of course he’s a light cleric. Of course his god is literally the god of the Sun. This man does not fuck with the night & darkness At All. (Also he wanted to be tall lol.)

BigB: (???), (???)

Okay, gonna be honest, BigB is the last one I need to make decisions for ‘cause I feel I have too many knowledge gaps about him to figure this out. Was thinking Paladin maybe??? But I will totes take input, please help me here. Only restrictions: I’d prefer if he doesn’t double up on heritage or subclass with anyone.

Cleo: Reborn, Circle of Wildfire Druid

Cleo’s gotta be a zombie, so Reborn is perfect. & who can deny Cleo the opportunity to have a skill set based entirely around setting shit on fire?

Etho: Shadar-Kai, Way of the Shadow Monk

He’s a ninja lol. Also in this AU I was thinking he & Gem would be siblings, so having him play an emotionally flat dark elf played nicely with what Gem goes with. Which…

Gem: Eladrin, Eldritch Knight Fighter

Gem had to be a fighter, that girl is a fighter through & through, but she’s definitely not playing a boring character. Eldritch Knight adds some magical flavour that goes well with her being an Eladrin. & she had to be an elf of some kind; I think she’d like the versatility & expressiveness of Eladrin.

Grian: Changeling, Pact of the Tome Warlock of the Archfey

Okay, I know this is probs controversial but hear me out. 1) Grian being a Warlock I think is just very in character. 2) Pact of the Tome lets him cast catrips from other classes & you unknowingly he’d get a kick outta that mechanic. 3) His patron is a homebrewed version of The Traveler, half way between 5e canon & Critical Role canon. Trickster vibes are real. 4) This dude has had so many skins. Changeling energy. (Also I just love changelings & Grian made the most sense to me.)

Impulse: Hill Dwarf, Forge Domain Cleric of Tharmekhûl

Another controversial one, but I’m not a fan of demon/tiefling/horned Impulse. & he legit has been a dwarf before. Hill dwarf because they get a Wisdom buff & that makes sense for Impulse. Cleric of Tharmekhûl because forge/light vibes & also he’s the god of smiths & that feels… like something Impulse would choose. (Impulse’s character is also min-max’d to hell. This man is going to win at D&D.)

Jimmy: Human, Oath of Glory Paladin of Tyr

Jimmy got overwhelmed by all the heritages & just went human for simplicity. He takes regular human rather than variant because he doesn’t want to learn all the feats & getting +1 to all stats is pretty good, right? Oath of Glory Paladin of Tyr because he really, really plays into being Lawful Good, & being The Law of the party.

Joel: Half-orc, Path of the Berserker Barbarian

Half-orc for being the closest I could get to an ogre. Path of the Berserker because he’s all about The Rage.

Lizzie: High Elf, School of Enchantment Wizard

Idk Lizzie just has big Wizard vibes to me, but like. Not the best wizard. Like she’s powerful, but rolls shit. She couldn’t get anyone to sleep in the Secret Life campaign because her DC is kinda low & everyone kept making their saves. (Except Joel. He failed his save on purpose. <3) High Elf for Queen Lizzie.

Martyn: Tiefling, Swashbuckler Fighter

Another natural fighter choice imo, but Swashbuckler for The Performance. Tiefling because he’s a bit impish & also so he can have Thaumaturgy to constantly scare everyone with monster/mob noises.

Mumbo: Rock Gnome, School of Evocation Wizard

I need to Mumbo to be a glass canon. School of Evocation Wizard does that so well. He can blow shit up so good, but he takes one hit & he’s out. Rock gnome because he just wanted to be a little guy & so he can be a Tinker.

Pearl: Wood Elf, Beastmaster Ranger

Beastmaster Ranger so she can have Tilly as an animal companion. Also more combat than magic focused, ‘cause that feels right? Elf because that’s her vibe, wood elf because it made sense for her build.

Ren: Werewolf Shifter (Doglike), Bannerette Fighter

Ren really wanted to be a fighter, but he put all his points in charisma RIP. So yeah, he’s the fighter class that does the least actual fighting lol. Doglike werewolf because of course.

Scar: Half-elf, Wild Magic Sorcerer/School of Eloquence Bard multiclass

His first few levels were in sorcerer, to reflect his absolutely bonkers all or nothing luck. School of Eloquence because he’s the type to talk his way out of most any situation he can. Also: Scar is 100% a charisma caster. (He still uses a longbow, don’t worry; he gets proficiency with it from being a half-elf.)

Scott: Fairy, Lunar Sorceror

I have changed my mind the most about Scott. Landed on Fairy, because the Vibes. Sorcerer because I felt he’d have innate magic, Lunar because it gives him access to a wide variety of spells that make sense for him. (Like Shield. He uses Shield all the time. Can’t hit this man, no sir.)

Skizz: Protector Aassimar, Path of the Ancestral Guardians Barbarian

He attac, he protec. & most importantly, he place high value on bonds between folks. So giving him Ancestral Guardians just… yeah.

Tango: Fire Genasi, Battlesmith Artificer

I don’t think I need to explain this much. His Steel Defender is an Iron Golem.

ugh just remembered when I was in that useless fucking social services job hunting workshop.... and the presenter, when she called me for my resume consult basically told me I was liar when I had the usual complaint that "oh just about EVERY entry level job where I am is DEMANDING that I have anywhere between 2 to 5 years experience already before applying"... and instead of confirming that is the problem with the job market today, she instead condescended to me saying "oh no honey that's bc they're HIGH LEVEL admin jobs demanding that and NOT ENTRY LEVEL. learn to read."

actually, no, sandra (not her real name). they're NOT high-level jobs. they're run of the mill front desk reception or call centre jobs, which are also basic data entry jobs.... that only 20 years ago (probably) would've been a walk-in off the street and be employed tomorrow thing, or NO experience needed, we'll train you!" type shit if you applied online.

now these positions are DEMANDING 2 to 5 years experience AND sometimes a combined traineeship for 1-2 years in business admin, pr that you ALREADY have the tafe cert III in business admin, bc they don't want you wasting time studying or waste their time training you. that's why I keep applying for traineeships bc half of these positions already come with one, or "the chance to take on a traineeship" which means, "we'll make you do it anyway and not reduce your workload to accommodate study time". if the job is advertised as a full-time position without the traineeship attached in the title (like a junior admin officer job or something that i've applied for at a local lawyer before).

just. I hated how dismissive this woman was all around. I know I should probs complain tk social services about her, but idk if anything would actually happen. and plus she'd be all like "oh everyone else in that class loved me, why don't you? just keep vibrating at 70htz in loathing and resentment and GET NO OPPORTUNITIES EVER bc of that. why did my teaching not get the IMPORTANCE of vibrating at 500htz ie. LOVE AND PEACE AND ACCEPTANCE is the ONLY thing that'll give you abundance and opportunities, through to you????"

uh maybe bc I see job hunting as a practical thing and not all the batshit reiki shit that I like in asmr for entertainment.... and the vision board mumbo jumbo of self-help internet is great coming from youtubers like Anna akana.... but NOT in a jobhunting working shop.... where you're guilting people about this mumbo jumbo is exactly why they'll never employed ever again. and esp since my old workplace tried to fire me for "ruining the positive family vibe of this workplave bc you rolled your eyes at me twice and are sarcastic from time to time 😥" during my performance meeting in November 2022. so obvs, I'll refuse to take that side of it seriously.

anyway my point was originally that im pissed of that this woman insisted that entry level jobs that are advertising 2 to 5 years experience aren't "entry level jobs, they're high level." when she was posed as an "employment expert" for this course.

no. they're NOT high-level jobs the bulk of the time. they're fucking run of the mill data entry which really only requires minimum skills in microsoft office and admin etc and a professional phone manner etc.... but instead they're asking for 2-5 years experience and intermediate to advanced microsoft office skills (or google suite etc) bc they want the applicant to do 25 jobs in place of 7 different people. which is shit I should be able to do with an arts degree. you're the one who really knows nothing.

but instead they want to drag me through another whole ass certificate 3 course and ANOTHER traineeship bc apparently an arts degree and a years worth of actual solid office experience isn't enough to man phones, do data entry, do front office reception and whatever dumbass shit "done with minimal supervision superhero" tasks they write in the job description on seek et al

So far

Grian: flying, not much explanation

Scar: cats.... You really expect the man to have anything else

Mumbo: electric maybe normal, dunno

Gem: Grass and fairy, explanation; cottagecore

Tango: fire, once again, do not need to explain

Impulse: he feels like a ground kinda guy

Pearl: anything alien like, would be funny if she had a team of only dittos lol

Etho: maybe dark or psychic, not sure need to work on

Cleo: fighting

Joe: I don't think he would have a specific type

Please add on if you have any ideas, now I sleep

Joe would definitely have every type, or maybe a normal crew with some ghost type

But honestly he'd mostly prob be a breeder! Or something along those lines, helping pokemon, takin care if the injured

Predictions for Round 3 MCYT sexyman

(NGL didn't know this was happening yet so this'll be my first go around voting tomorrow lol)

Scar, not even close. Schlatt is a good contender but the Scar hype is insane.

Thinking Captain Sparkles might win but I really hope Techno pulls through. Regardless, I see this being pretty close. Techno is the one I hope to see win the whole thing but I don't think it's meant to be. If Cap Sparkles loses then I think it's the most honorable way he will go out. Ngl I kinda think this match up would have been better Round 4 but I'm not complaining either.

I'm not really in the Hermitcraft fandom but, based on what my dash looks like, Ima have to go Doc over Syemetry.

Ren only because I have no clue whom Oli is. I know the name but I see a lot more Ren love on my dash.

Cleo and Eret are gonna have a pretty close game I bet. I'm thinking Cleo will win but I'd like Eret to.

Pearl and Philza will likely be close. I'm thinking Pearl maybe? Philza is a great contender but the love for Pearl is astounding.

BDubz and LD Shadowlady is an intresting match up. BDubz is probably gonna come out on top cause he's a fan favorite. Shadowlady might not make it because she's more nostalgia based than BDubz. She does good stuff now but her hype has died down.

Joel and Ranboo is probs gonna be Ranboo. He was pretty predominant back in the DSMP days. I wouldn't be surprised if Joel puts up a fight but overal I'm decently confident in Ranboo. Regardless of who wins here, they're 100% winning round 4.

Ethos 100% beating Aimsey and I will be sad about that. I like Ethos from what I've seen about him but I'm biased. I've been listening to a lot of Aimsey stuff recently.

Scott and Jimmy is gonna be close too. I'd like Scott to win but Jimmy is likely gonna overtake him. I think out of all of these this is the one I'm least confident in my guess.

Mumbo seems like the obvious first pick but I'm thinking Impulse will pull this real close. Mumbo will likely still be on top but it might be closer than we think.

Idek who is going against Charlie. Pixlriffs is a name I haven't heard. Charlie is a good sexyman candidate so Ima have to go with him based on his own qualifications.

Joe Hills 100% winning against Xisuma. With the amount of campaigns I've seen for Joe... no shot he loses here.

Wilbur and Tango I feel is gonna be neck and neck. I think Tango might win because, again, he's a fan favorite. I think we all know that Wilbur is the pinnacle of a Tumblr sexyman though. Also, the TNT Duo art that was buzzing around? Idk, I think Tango is a great candidate but Wilbur does sexyman better. Yk what, Ima have faith and make my guess Wilbur.

Grain is 100% winning against Keralis. No question about it.

MythicalSausage is another name I don't know so tbh I'm not sure how he stacks up against Quackity. All I know is there's plenty of love for Myth Saus. This is an uneducated guess but I think he might beat Quackity.

this is NOT going to be a good review since i am very tired and hungry and upset that my tv wont work so i have to watch youtube on my laptop again BUT .THAT NEW CHAPTER WAS SO GOOD... so mumbo doesn't know scar is part vex (??? assuming thats how he uses vex magic) for obvious reasons (<- experimentation will probably happen) and mumbo has experimented on and/or killed vex before n actively has a head of one on the wall n scar. still chooses to be there??????? wada hell...... im very excited to see grian n scar get a chance to talk alone next tho cuz w mumbo coming right back there wasn't much time for scar to react to grian not only knowing vex but also immediately being able to tell that he's using vex magic vs any other kind .ok time to go eat BTW whats ur favorite pokemon .and would i be allowed to name one after u in one of my games (<- currently playing emerald soulsilver shining pearl and x and also probs gna start pmd explorers of sky very soon) totally fine if the answer is no ofc i do still wana know ur fav pokemon tho 🫡

mumbo indeed does not know scar is part vex! mages and other types of fully-human magic-users are relatively common, and visually there is nothing visibly detectable on scar to hint to vex origins.

grian can tell because he was raised by vex, and hybrid enhanced senses mean that he can smell different magics, so he knows good and well what scar is.

it's slightly confusing to grian, because right now scar smells like home, but is very much the enemy.

scar stays because he has no one else to go home to. he was found a seemingly normal human baby that had the hybrid beaten out of him, to the point of masking his vex traits, fully unintentionally.

he's not quite monster enough for the vex to accept him, nor quite human enough for most other people. mumbo, an adorer of the odd and peculiar, took him in during scar's teen years and was basically his mentor/parent. they're both confused on how scar's magic works, and mumbo has chalked it up to some curse or whatever.

mumbo doesn't care too much so long as scar still cooperates.

scar is just happy to have someone who cares to keep him around.

also WOAUGH yeah u can name a pokemon after me i would be honored king

uhhhhh a list of favs but they are all from gen 1 or 2 because those are the only generations i know anything about:

-umbreon (swag af)

-totodile (gen 2 starter my beloved)

-oddish (first ever natural shiny i caught)

-meowth (that's right!)

-gastly (hypnosis + dream eater w/ curse and a mean look move set.... ugh, the dream)

wait. Hang on a second. I completely forgot clear is mumbo’s hels which means tango has… oh. oh boy. maybe you’ve talked about this before but he was probably so beyond skeptical and skittish around mumbo when tango first came to hermitcraft wasn’t he?

i think i’ve talked about this before but i don’t mind laying it out a bit more clearly! (pun intended LOL)

when tango first escaped to hermitcraft, he was unaware that hels players like himself had overworld counterparts. so when he met mumbo for the first time, mumbo definitely reminded him of clear, but there were enough differences for him to chalk it up as a coincidence. their names, accents, manner of speaking, personalities, and appearances were just different enough that tango wouldn’t automatically assume they were connected. it did, however, make him very uncomfortable around mumbo for a while, until he really got to know mumbo and the association with clear faded from his mind.

now, when helsknight came to hermitcraft, tango never actually met him (if i recall correctly??) but welsknight told the other hermits about it. not because he was particularly concerned or anything but just as a “hey heads up, some evil version of me came here from a place called hels and swore to destroy the server, i think he’s all talk tho lol.” tango, after hearing that hels was involved, carefully probed for more details and after wels described the encounter, he made the connection. he realized that if helsknight, who looks and sounds almost identical to welsknight, came here from hels and is said to embody all of welsknight’s “evil,” then hels must be a world of evil doppelgängers.

it suddenly made all too much sense for tango, who’d always felt that he was inherently ‘bad’ when compared to players who didn’t come from hels. he also realized that his escape from hels might’ve been due to swapping places with whoever his counterpart was, who was meant to come to hermitcraft, though he has no way of knowing for sure. so that only solidified his decision not to tell the hermits where he came from, due to fear of being sent back, yet intensified the amount of guilt and self-hatred he felt for it 🎻

he didn’t, however, make the connection between mumbo and clear. mumbo is so different in his mind from clear at this point that he’d prob have to see them standing next to each other to realize it 😂 his powers of observation are historically poor

(also idk about evil xisuma bc i don’t know enough about them LOL but since they never said they came from hels i don’t think tango would’ve looked that much into it?)

for this season of Hermits, we’re watching Doc, Scar, Etho, Tango, Grian, Mumbo, and Iskall, and any other episodes of Hermits who have particularly interesting dares (like Impulse’s dare from Grian). We also occasionally check in on Bdubs but we don’t watch him often because his voice gives us headaches. Same case with Stress

!!! we dont watch hc too much tbh. joe is the only one we watch often, but if a hc video pops up in our recommended we'll prob give it a go! we also wanna watch etho & gem but. yk how it is

in entirely unrelated news i just made ramen with bacon (sounds very american ik)

in my defense i wanted pork broth but all i have is chicken bullion so i soaked cooked bacon into my broth w/ the chicken bullion while cooking, honestly this fucks super hard

also didn't have zuccini so i fried cucumber instead, also fucks hard

i DID have homemade chilli oil tho so i added that too. and mushrooms

okok au time i did already tell u ur hearing ab my pokemon au!! so i kinda have all the gym leaders planned out n everything but what im going to focus on in this is the elite four + champion which is!! boatem :D ill be completely honest i dont have anything down for impulse or pearl YET other than their team types (impulse has an electric type team n pearl has a rock type team) but the other three have a bit of stuff

also!!! every pokemon has a link to an image of them :3 including the ones u almost certainly already know LMAO

grian: he's the ghost type elite four member!! i think this is probs a bit unexpected but 🫶 i tried messing w other types (specifically dragon n flying) n couldn't rly make a team that i felt fully fit him yk?? ill be completely honest im very biased towards ghost types so thats probs part of why i chose this for him LMAO

• he also has a natu he named professor beak!! the natu is a gift from mumbo :3

• he runs a flying type sanctuary!! he takes in any injured flying type pokemon (usually wild but sometimes pokemon released by their owners, usually ones that were harmed by careless trainers + abandoned by other pokemon but sometimes other cases happen) n he cares for them in a sorta rehab program

• reason 4 ghost: he weirdly attracts them?? nobody's sure why but he never fights any of them off n actually welcomes them.. he regularly has a group of sinisteas and a polteageist following him <- i could totally come up w a reason as to why he attracts them n i have some ideas

• while he did go out + catch his team they r all still very closely bonded to him (except altaria who was from the sanctuary, it was released by a trainer n was already pretty powerful n it bonded to him thru care n basically like forced itself onto his team LMAO)

• professor beak does not fight but he does go w grian everywhere. its rare to see grian w/o any ghost types ANYWHERE but u NEVER see him w/o professor beak

mumbo: he's the psychic type CHAMPION! yeah mumbos the champion 😎 originally i considered having there be no champion bc i couldn't choose but then i was like "wait a sec .mumbo was ceo (until he wasnt) he should probs be the champion" hes also the only one to have a team w every pokemon being the type o chose for them so far!! i love psychic types theyre my favorite ralts is my second favorite pokemon + fav gen 3 pokemon (my fav gen) which is why i have one named after him :3 i chose psychic for him partly cuz bias partly bc i thought it was funy to have mumbo of all people to be a psychic type trainer

• so .he originally didn't want to be a trainer LMAO

• the only pokemon he had for YEARS was an eevee n he never planned to get more

• obviously that didn't stay that way ^_^ one night he got kinda cornered by .idk some fucking pokemon n his eevee tried to help but hes literally never fought a battle w it before so it didn't go too well n waoh omg guess what saves him!!!!! a ralts!!!!! yes this is like .cheesy or wtevr no i dont care its my pokemon au i can do what i want

• after this mumbo is like "o shit mayb i should train my pokemon" n he catches the ralts n trains both it n his eevee up n along the way catches the other pokemon on his team (mostly in similar situations to the ralts .psychic type pokemon r attracted to his swagless charm <33)

• n eventually the eevee evolves into espeon!! wow omg who couldve seen that coming

• anyways yea he became a psychic type trainer completely on accident n kinda became champion just for fun 😭 n when he beat the og elite four in whatever region they're in n the champion he just kinda left n like a few days later he gets a call n it goes like "hello?" "hey yo mumbo ur the champion rn .u got a battle to fight some guy wants to fight u" "HUH?"

• somehow nobody told him that beating the champion made u the champion ?also the guy who wanted to fight him was grian 🫶

scar: grass type elite four member!! yea kinda predictable but it FITS ok
