I threw up in the bathtub yesterday morning. There are a lot of nights I drink too much and end up hungover until like noon the next day until after I have eaten and taken vitamins. I woke up feeling a little groggy but did my usual routine of getting high before I started to get ready. After, I was feeling a little woozy but went into the kitchen and made myself some toast and poured a protein drink over ice. I ate most the bread and butter and drank a few big gulps of the ice cold dairy drink and went to get in the bathtub. I let it fill a quarter full with steamy hot water before I got in and let it fill the rest of the way. I was only washing my face and body since my hair was clean from the shower the night before. As I let the hot water grow higher up my belly I started to feel nauseous and dizzy. The cold drink inside my stomach up against the hot bath water wasn’t making things better. I rubbed my distended stomach and leaned back to lay down. When I did this the dizziness got worse and the room started to spin. I sat up slowly and steadied myself on the sides of the tub. I felt my mouth fill with saliva and my stomach clenched. I felt cold strawberry drink rush up the back of my throat and with a retch I was leaning forward as it spilled over my lips into the hot bath tub. “Uuuurrrpppp” I caught my breath and heaved again bringing up another mouthful of pink and stomach acid “blaaarrghhhh”. It was frothy and most of it floated on top of the water and sank slowly in strings of partially digested foods. I didn’t get out immediately even though I had left the toilet open next to me just in case, it was already too late. When my puke floated towards me I would swish it back forward just for it to come back at me just like it had come back up my throat. I gagged once more at the sight of my own sick and brought up mostly stomach acid. It seemed I had kept down my toast so I was satisfied with that. I pulled the plug, made sure all the throw up went down the drain and got ready for work.

I don’t puke easily. I didn’t throw up for like 13 years before realizing this was a thing for me hehe and even after, it was usually on accident or I had too many laxatives or the wrong combo of food that just sent my tummy off for a second.

I once got close!!! I spent a while hovering over a trash can and the toilet after basically forcing myself to eat for 4 hours straight, but nothing really happened unfortunately :/ I just felt like a whale which is its own sexy feeling so I was okay with it lol

As long as you promise to kiss my tummy while it aches, you can watch me grow till I blow anytime, luv

Y'know those visual gags in manga and anime, when a character is so stressed about a project or something that they just throw up out of nowhere? Maybe they even go right back to talking or working after puking. Maybe they're sitting hunched over their computer fixing code an hour past their deadline, turning to the side to heave violently into a bowl, and returning harriedly to their screen like that didn't just happen, face a mess.

Anyway after watching my daughter the last couple of weeks, and ending up in the ER with her, I'm convinced those "visual gags" are simply things the actual artists experienced in real life. No matter how outrageous it looks, that really happened.

Here’s how Vanitas works/operates/functions in Just a Couple of Monsters. There’s some vague spoilers (as vague as I could manage), read at your own risk. 

In the fic, Vanitas can summon Unversed by spilling his own blood. He can summon a particular Unversed in this method by:

-Feeling the emotion that corresponds to said Unversed VERY STRONGLY (like irritation w/ Floods)

-Cutting into the body part associated with chosen Unversed (tongue w/ Vile Phials)

HOWEVER. If he does not choose to summon an Unversed, his body forces him to do so. And by force, I kindly mean “Puke up an Unversed goo pile” like in the BBS novel. For obvious reasons, Vanitas would rather make the choice to cut himself for Unversed than have it forced upon him. 

Vanitas eats emotions. He can eat actual food, but doesn’t require it to survive. What is required to survive is being around other people and their emotions. If the only people you’re ever around are your comatose body that feels nothing due to being comatose and a guy who’s spend decades marinating in his Darkest emotions like hate and envy...well. You are what you eat, after all. 

Unversed also feed off of emotions. It’s what allows them to increase their size into the BBS bosses. What they drop after being slain is the crystalized remains of both those emotions and the emotion/blood that made them in the first place.

Unversed almost inevitably always become violent, no matter how positive the emotion they have been born from. It’s an easier way to farm emotions, that violence.
