Note
look I already know this roast is likely to be painful, but just the Morinozuka family 😂 you expect me to pick just one of them? I refuse
Growing up on auzzie biscuits have helped you learn to love this staler than croutons family. Sure there's nothing exciting about them but that's something you two have in common. You cling to the most normal family living among an eccentric group of spoiled elitists because it's your chance to stand out among the crowd. It's easy to be the most entertaining person in the room when everyone else is more interested in quietly sipping tea.
The Morinozuka family is found family for those who take found family very seriously. You're not looking for a silly band of miscreants. Your troubled childhood needs stronger bonds of realistic love and loyalty in order to make that tattered heart pump again. The Morinozuka boys represents the sibling relationship you wish you had with your own. Too bad no one is willing to idolize you.
But when asked why you love them so much, your rehearsed answer is because their dad is a dilf.

Rotten Palaces (Part two)
Rating: Mature
Fandom: Ouran High School Host Club
Pairings: KyoKao, MoriKyo, HikaKao, TamaHika
Summary:  (Crimson Peak AU)
TW: Ghosts, Murder, Major Character Death, Gore, Incest (NOT FOR KINK), Abuse, Major Illness, Poisonings
The streets were crowded as Kyoya walked briskly to the office of Mr Komatsuzawa, a thick envelope pressed tight to his chest, containing the fruits of his two years of labouring over empty page upon empty page with ink-smudged fingers. His father would probably be more impressed if he'd completed a non-fiction book, but he'd toiled over this earnestly enough that the man decided to say a good word for him. Hence, his visit to the publishing office.
He wanted to do this on his own merit, but as usual his father's kind favours were given without a single conversation with the recipient. He thought it'd be rude, however, to turn the man down and waste his time, so he'd neatly packed up his manuscript and was on his way to the other side of town.
The brick building was imposing, but a welcome sight. No more worries of destroying the copy and having so much of his time go up in smoke; not to mention with about an hour to spare to fit in some quick edits and such. Final primping before it came before an audience, even if said audience was a single person.
Up the stairs he went, hand trailing the railing, marching ever onwards to the gentleman's office and to a professional critique.
"Ootori!"
He startled slightly, looking around before seeing the distinctive, cropped hair and large build of his lifelong friend, a smile stretching his lips and his chest fluttering in a pleasant way. A warm way.
"Morinozuka!" He replied in kind, the two of them meeting on the staircase. Mori had gotten taller yet again since he'd left Ouran, now a whole head taller than Kyoya, "You should have told me you were back. Father's been concerned that you had fled to the Outer Hebrides, never to return to civilisation again."
"As attractive an idea as that is," The taller man nodded, his steady, calm voice betraying just a hint of amusement, "I can't very well help others if I'm living my life as a hermit. I did go to Edinburgh to study. In fact, I'm setting up my own office as it is, on the floor just above us. Not enough heart specialists here, as you well know."
"No, but the great Morinozuka is here to fill that devastating void," He teased, smirking, to which Mori just rolled his eyes.
"Enough about me, dear Ootori, what about yourself?" He enquired, "You're a little way out from the house."
"I'm here on business myself, actually," He informed, adjusting his glasses, "The novel is finally finished."
"Oh? Con-"
"I think, at least. Fiction novels never seem to get completed, always more to edit and such," He continued, practically steamrolling over Mori's attempted congratulations.
"Well, still incredibly impressive," The older man nodded, almost sagely, despite being barely a year his senior, "You must let me read it soon, you've piqued my interest with the snippets you've talked about these past few years."
Their conversation was cut short, however, by the appearance of Mori's mother and cousins, who seemed to be tittering about the latest in society life. It was a strain for Kyoya to not roll his eyes, but he endured, if only to not upset his friend.
"Of course, we met them upon visiting dearest Takashi, and they seemed to have followed us back to Japan," Mrs Morinozuka tittered, before registering that there was more people in the stairwell than the two Haninozuka children, "Hello Master Ootori, you probably haven't heard the latest, but we've got a couple of visitors from Satoshi's business acumen across the sea."
"It's nothing to do with me, mother," The boy in question murmured, head ducking in the way it did when he was embarrassed, "Mere coincidence."
"Well, I hear they share a Baronet title," Mitsukuni Haninozuka imparted, to the confused mutterings of his younger brother and Satoshi.
Kyoya nearly rolled his eyes, not favouring the idle rich all too much. Some would perhaps call him a hypocrite, but the simple truth was that the Ootori Company branched off into many sectors, with a majority focus on healthcare, but also useful sects such as finance and other worthwhile investments. His father inherited the company, as one may inherit a title, but the man was more than talented enough to be worthy of the honour; although he wouldn't wish to say that aloud. Far too saccharine for his family.
"What exactly does being a Baronet entail?" Satoshi questioned, and it seemed Kyoya could hold his tongue no longer.
"From what I've heard, while once a title holding honour - if not all that highly ranked - it is now nothing more than a position held by greedy parasites who do too little to help the people they are meant to protect - and too much to hurt," He rambled, the others on the stairwell looking a little shocked that he'd expressed such an opinion so openly.
Bar Mori, that is. The man might've hidden it behind some papers he was carrying, but he could see the tell-tale crinkles besides the taller man's eyes; he was smirking. It partly emboldened him to straighten his back and debate his position, although he knew that he'd certainly get a smack from his father if he continued on and word got back, young adult or not.
"Well, I assure you, Master Ootori," Mrs Morinozuka smiled, demure with a hint of belittling humour, as if Kyoya were merely a naïve child she had to correct, "These parasites, as you call them, are perfectly charming - not to mention excellent dancers. Although,  you've certainly made your distaste for balls and parties alike... well known. Therefore I cannot imagine how that would concern you. Our very own Pierre Bezukhov."
"Mother, please -"
Mori was once again cut off - a habit he'd do well not to fall into - as Kyoya squared his shoulders, raised his chin and corrected the lady in front of him.
"If I were to be any of Tolstoy's characters, madam, I would prefer to be Alexei Karenin," He smirked, before turning on his heel, "At least he was a somewhat successful man."
He decided to walk to the other staircase to continue on to Komatsuzawa's office. While he would have liked to talk to Morinozuka longer, he couldn't stand society tittering. While useful in regards to finding out important information, he had better things to do today.
Hence, why he sat in the office for far too long, ink smudging his fingers as he rewrote a sentence or two, and changed the odd word. It was still a finished draft, of course, even if he was constantly editing and such. A writer's task was never done.
"Good afternoon, Master Ootori."
The deep, steady voice startled him, head snapping up from his manuscript and jaw a little too slack than it should have been in order to give a decent impression. Or, at least, not seem like a gormless idiot.  He raised from his chair, offering a noticeably blackened hand to the older gentleman, purely out of reflex.
"I see you're early," Mr Komatsuzawa continued, sitting at his desk and not taking the offending hand. Not that Kyoya blamed him, mind you.
"Just a little, I suppose," He nodded, a pleasant smile on his face, and thus began the arduous task of simply sitting and waiting as his manuscript was read over.
Kyoya's back was ramrod straight, purposefully still, yet he was searching for any micro expression that would give him a hint as to whether the man liked his writing or not. A furrow of his brow, twitch of the lips, anything. He supposed stoicism was to be expected, even if it was slowly but surely driving him to madness as the minutes ticked by without a word.
"A ghost story..." Mr Komatsuzawa stated, voice deadpan, "Your father didn't tell me it was a ghost story..."
"Well, it's not really a ghost story," He began to explain, ignoring the shrinking feeling he was getting from the tone of voice Mr Komatsuzawa used, "The ghosts are simply a metaphor, and -"
"Yes, Master Ootori, there is no need to explain to a publisher such basic techniques of writing," Mr Komatsuzawa intoned, raising a brow, "However, you must understand that this still appeals to said demographic, and that the publishing industry is positively swimming in the supernatural right now. Spiritualism is the new trend..."
He nodded, holding his tongue lest he said anything else to offend.
"If I may offer a word of advice Master Ootori..."
---
The maids startled at the slam of the front door, but Kyoya couldn’t care less. He wasn’t running, but he’d kept up his brisk pace since he left Komatsuzawa’s office, his shoulders tense and muscles coiled tightly. It was fair to say he was irked.
“Not a triumphant slam of the door, I take it,” Yoshio observed plainly, without so much as a hello as he stormed into the dining room, “From the absolute thunder on your face, at least.”
He had to take a breath, not wanting to vent his anger in an indelicate, brutish manner, even if the comment only made the frustration much worse. It wasn’t his father’s fault, per se, but his involvement in all this wasn’t doing him any favours.
“You didn’t even tell him… anything about the novel?” He began, voice forced into calm monotony, even if he could hardly keep the glare out of his eyes, “Father, while I am grateful to you for such an opportunity, I’ve made my opinion very clear; I don’t want to succeed due to pure nepotism. I don’t want to meet a publisher simply because of my last name. I’m confident in my abilities… in my skill…”
Yoshio looked up from his plate for a moment or two. He sighed, napkin wiping at the corners of his mouth before being placed on the stark, white tablecloth once more. He stood, and Kyoya stood still, waiting for whatever it was that Yoshio was about to relay; be it a reprimand or otherwise.
“My boy, my child,” He began, tone tender and hand on his shoulder; Kyoya couldn’t help but give him an unimpressed look at that, “I know that. I know you have talent and drive, and I’ve imparted my own standards onto both you and your siblings. I’m proud of that. However, you are born with privilege that you would be a fool to neglect.”
He swallowed harshly then, biting down his anger once more as he shook off his father’s touch, going back to his seat at the table. He wanted to snap at his father, explain his annoyance, but he knew that Yoshio wasn’t really going to change in any meaningful way when it came to this. For someone so focused on the merit of one’s own work speaking for itself, he was certainly machiavellian in his approach to helping his children to succeed.
“Komatsuzawa was forth-coming with his opinions, I take it,” Yoshio inquired, sidestepping the previous conversation.
Kyoya groaned, sounding far too adolescent in that moment, taking a seat himself and resting his face upon his hand, elbow on the table. “He says that I should include a love story,” He grimaced.
“Well, he is old fashioned that way, but if he thinks it would be more interesting -”
Kyoya clicked his tongue, shifting in his seat and crossing his arms over his chest. “It will bog down the actually interesting and relevant parts of the plot. I simply don’t have the pages to spare,” He explained, “That’s not even getting into the issue of how I’d know anything about such a thing. I leave the house once a fortnight, at most.”
Yoshio acquiesced to that, at least.
“Well, while this was meant to be a celebratory present…” Yoshio began, reaching down and procuring a small, perfectly wrapped gift box. He only raised an eyebrow before taking it, delicately untying the golden ribbon, “I’m a jack of all trades, one might say, so I know the importance of good tools…”
Kyoya opened the box, greeted by a new fountain pen. Not something that was merely picked up on a whim or out of necessity, however; this was expensive. It was elaborate by even his standards, gold gilded and expertly crafted. There was fine etching, flowers and swirls in impressive detail, and a nib that promised to provide an elegant flow of ink. Truly beautiful.
“This is a most generous gift, father, however…” He hesitated for a moment, not wanting to seem ungrateful, but plowing ahead anyway - better to be direct, “I actually hoped to type it, in your office.”
“Type it?” Yoshio parroted, a look of confusion on his face.
“Well, I was thinking. There are many publishing houses in bigger cities - like Tokyo,” He elaborated, “And a typed manuscript would look far more professional.”
“Of course,” Yoshio nodded, going back to his meal.
Rather than listening to the impulse to retire to his room, to pour over his manuscript once again with all the fury of a madman, Kyoya sat down to dinner with his father.
A thoughtful action deserved some sort of recognition, he supposed.

Anime-Manga Comparisons, episode 18.
This episode’s gonna be a real doozy, since there’s a lot that changes from manga to anime, including cutting out an entire character. I don’t envy the idiot who writes the comparisons series! Haha… fuck.
To start with, the manga cuts to a week before the beginning, to see a martial arts club asking Honey for help, and then we go to present day (from many, many years ago…) to meet Yasuchika! In the anime Haruhi opens the door and is about to enter, but in the manga it’s locked and she’s concerned she’s the first to get there, since we’ve already seen she’s consistently late it’s surprising to her and us.
Chika asks her to call Honey in both, but in the anime he appears from the open door on Mori’s shoulders, and in the manga they appear from down the hall (still on Mori’s shoulders, though) and they start fighting immediately. Anime Haru turns to Mori to stop it, but manga Haru seems too freaked out to ask. Also, the twins do the play-by-play commentary in the manga, but it’s Renge in the anime! They have the same lines, though. Mori calls her Renge-kun, and Honey traps Chika with ninja stars in the manga, and kunai in the anime.
And now here’s the start of the biggest change between the anime and manga: Mori’s little brother Satoshi! He appears right after their fight to scold Chika for skipping out on their club, and goes to his big brother like a cute puppy. He’s a pretty integral part of the story so I was really shocked when I first found out he existed, and I’m still not sure why he isn’t in the anime. I guess he was cut for time.
Satoshi’s whole thing is that he’s basically Mori to Chika’s Honey, but a lot more bubbly and talkative, and less forgiving of him when he says the wrong thing. He’s constantly scolding him for being rude to the upperclassmen. He’s also super proud of Mori and constantly complimenting him. The twins pour hot sauce in his tea (a semi running gag that appears again in another episode.) and he’s not at all phased by it.
So, the reason why Chika came to the club in the manga (aside from for a fight) was also to question him on joining the karate club in a training session and to say he has no right to represent their family because he chose to do what he wanted when he joined the host club. In the anime, it’s mostly the same, minus the training session. He comes in to say Honey sucks for being happy and then bolts so Tamaki can get the ball rolling on fixing someone else’s family issues instead of his own. In the manga Satoshi hits Chika over the head and scolds him, and Chika cries and runs off, prompting Satoshi to chase him down. Not having Satoshi in the anime honestly gives us a very different view of Chika. We don’t see that he’s sensitive, too.
When Haru questions why he’d quit the host club in the anime, Tamaki gets offended at how she words it and then mopes when she says their club is less reputable, but in the manga we just get the twins flanking her to give her backstory. The flashback plays out the same, though Tamaki feels the need to interject and get some more screen time in the anime. The fan club girls are super cute and I love them all. I also love that the twins cry over such a dumb story. Manga Haruhi says the wall is more of a curb here, a callback to last episode where she figured there’s always a wall between her and the hosts.
Honey and Tamaki’s meeting scene plays out the same, though Honey drools a lot in the manga, and Tamaki’s lines are the same in both, but in the anime he does a weird moonwalk to leave so I’m docking points from him. The twins call this “relentless courting”, which is hilarious. He did that with everyone, minus Mori. A serial courter.
In the anime we get a scene where Honey talks to his dad and they fight. (lovingly) Honey sends his dad to the hospital in a full body cast. (also lovingly) This doesn’t happen in the manga, and we don’t meet Yorihisa (or Akira Morinozuka) for real until later on.
The anime has this running gag of Honey being a fucking superweapon, but it’s more realistic in the manga. He’s just really good at fighting.
In the anime, it’s, of course, Tamaki who wants the club to help out and get the brothers to reconcile, but in the manga it’s an operation spearheaded by the twins. We also see Satoshi tell Chika to apologise to his brother, and Chika refuses.
In episode 30 of the manga this arc continues, we see Chika in his class, at first he refuses to let someone copy his homework, but when his classmates start talking about his older brother in comparison he lets them copy as long as they never mention his brother in front of him again. Then we see him in the dojo being fawned over by the girls. In the manga they have different dresses on, so I assume that’s the middle school outfit, but the anime has them in the yellow highschool dresses, I think that might be an oversight or error. When Chika yells at his class, Satoshi returns to berate him. With a shinai. He says he’s correcting his character.
We also see Tamaki, the twins, Haruhi, and Kyoya in the window in both, but in the manga they get silly headbands (minus Kyoya), and in the anime they foreshadow Kyoya’s future episode by having Kaoru point in his direction while talking about Chika’s sibling rivalry. I’ve pointed this out before, but I’m doing it again because it was very smart of me to notice it. After the twins point out the conflict they immediately fuck off because they thought it would be more interesting than just emotions and a brother complex. Manga Haru calls them horrible, and she’s so right to say it. The twins make up theories about Chika thinking Honey is an alien, or that he’s jealous about Honey monopolising Mori’s friendship, and then showing a doctored photo of the club being happy, which Haruhi knows is obviously doctored. (because Kyoya can’t smile, legally or physically)
Honey says he’s happy as long as Chika is growing up well, even if he hates him, and he spaces out and starts floating away so the others say random down to earth words to bring him back down. The twins say fibre optics and computer virus, and Haruhi says monthly rent hike and Tamaki gets concerned for her. Then Chika comes in to immediately try kicking him. Anime Chika is blocked by Honey (and scares the twins and Tamaki shitless) and manga Chika is blocked by Satoshi attacking him. Honey rushes to help Chika when he falls by using his bunny as a cushion, and Chika kicks him off into the stratosphere. He ends up in the infirmary with a light concussion. Sometimes I put my back out by sitting weird.
Chika is upset, but less about Honey being hurt and more about his entire gimmick. He calls Honey an alien (the twins high five because they were right) and he goes on a rant about how fucking weird the guy is. The cake scene happens in both, too, and the hosts actually start agreeing with Chika. Satoshi has to hold him while he calms down. He starts explaining that he wears glasses for a reason, Tamaki jumps in to say it’s because he wants to look less like his brother, and Chika clarifies that no, it’s because his vision is blurry and he literally can’t see him. Satoshi listens to this whole rant and then calls him neurotic, and then Kyoya calls him insensitive. Pot calling kettle again from this man.
Their fight plays out the same in both, and Mori gets plenty of lines and screen time. Until Honey wins and he loses all hope. Tamaki and Satoshi comfort him in the manga, and the twins join Tamaki in the anime. Kyoya just stands there in the background because he’s contractually obligated to be there. Haruhi says Honey is a dreadful person, and in the anime we see Honey sitting on the roof thinking about Tamaki’s words, and it ends, but in the manga we get a final scene of him complimenting Chika and Chika crying and running off, showing that they’re actually a lot more similar. And of course we see Chika and Satoshi later and find out it’s true, but we never see Chika again in the anime. He’s like a villain of the week.
Episode eighteen… what a dreadful episode!

New Years and a Strip Tease
Characters: Mitsukuni Haninozuka x Female Reader
Words: 1,177
Warnings: Smut
A/N: This fic is inspired by a song that reminds me of somewhere. I honestly had a general idea when I started writing this but then it turned to this so enjoy XD
Tumblr media
The annual Haninozuka New Year’s party was roaring in the spacious home, music playing throughout the house as people danced, some with drinks in hand.
Mitsukuni was standing at the top of the stairs overseeing the festivities as he took a moment away from all the dancing and chatting.
His brown eyes took in the sights, lights twinkling and people laughing. But then there was you.
You were dancing like you just didn’t care, swaying your hips and laughing, pulling a smile onto his face.
He hated being away from you when there were bachelors who had been eying you, just waiting to swoop in and take you away from all the noise of the party. But he could see it all, knowing you were in the safety of Satoshi’s company as you had convinced the youngest Morinozuka to dance with you.
Of course he obliged his soon to be cousin with her request.
Yasuchika appeared beside his brother, leaning against the railing of the second floor, drink in hand. “I’m surprised you’re not down there.”
He blinked and looked to his younger brother, “I just needed a moment away but I’m good now. I hope you’re having fun,” Mitsukuni beamed before going down the staircase and directly to you.
You were buzzing with energy and alcohol, beaming with happiness upon the sight of your fiance. You grinned and put yourself in his arms, melting with happiness when he wrapped you up in his embrace.
Mitsukuni chuckled, looking up at you and capturing your lips in a kiss, “We should get you some water.”
You hummed, “Okay but I wanna dance with you first.”
Mitsukuni smiled, giving in to your request like Satoshi did prior.
His eyes watched the young man take his chance to escape your drunk shenanigans and return to Takashi and his wife on the sidelines.
Mitsukuni happily danced with you, the way your hips swayed managing to pull his eyes off from the crowd around you. The world around him seemed to fade as he watched you, happily dancing alongside you before his movements stopped all together.
Your expression seemed to change and he recognized that familiar look in your eye like a predator watching its prey.
Mitsukuni quickly grabbed your hand, giving Takashi a look before taking you away from the madness of the party.
Once in the safety of your bedroom, your outgoing demeanor changed, suddenly feeling shy at the thought of dropping your dress down before your fiance.
He could sense your hesitation. So he moved carefully, wrapping you up in his arms, enjoying the feeling of you inside them, placing a gentle kiss to your lips.
“There’s no need to be shy, Y/N. It’s just us,” he grinned.
Noticing the truth in his eyes, you were able to regain your confidence as you gently ushered him onto the bed.
The sound of the music was so far away now, just a faint hum, but it was enough for you to use your imagination as you danced, slowly inching the hem of your dress up your thighs.
You faced away from him, letting him get a good view of the round of your ass as you hiked the fabric up further, giving him just a glimpse of the pink lace that was hidden underneath.
His eyes were fixated on you as you moved, facing him again and unzipping the back of your dress. The satin fabric dropped down, hanging around your waist to reveal the matching pink lace bralette.
Your nipples began to perk at the sudden temperature change. Your hands roamed your body before shimmying the dress down and around your ankles. As carefully as you could, you stepped out of the dress, letting him eye you.
Then you reached back, undoing the bralette, keeping it against your body with one hand, using the other to drop down a strap. You again did the same thing for the other side before letting the bra hit the floor next.
Mitsukuni waited until you got closer, never being one to last long with a treat dangled in front of him.
He lifted you and quickly placed you on the bed, hands roaming your chest. He began to pepper kisses down your body and once he reached your hip he caught the lace in his teeth, eyes looking up into yours as he pulled the underwear down your thighs.
Once they were at your knees his hands urged them down the rest of the way. He carefully loosened his tie before yanking it off.
His eyes were dark with lust as you shivered, putting your wrists up obediently for him as he tied them together. He pinned your arms above your head to the bed.
“Don’t move them,” he ordered simply. “You are not allowed touch after that teasing.”
He kissed you hungrily, hearing him move as he removed his jacket. His knuckles gently danced across your skin as he unbuttoned his shirt before tossing it aside.
Mitsukuni pulled away, moving down between your legs with a smirk.
“Thank you for this meal.”
Before you could make any sort of response, your moan catching in your throat as his tongue began its attack.
He slurped and thrust his tongue into you, hitting all the right places, changing movements and sucking and flicking your clit.
He even began to add his fingers to the mix, leaving you a shaking, moaning mess as you came undone in the palms of his hand and at the mercy of his tongue.
You watched as he shifted away, kicking off his shoes and undoing his belt. He rid himself of his pants and boxers, freeing his hardened cock that dripped in anticipation.
He captured your lips in a gentle kiss as he slowly pushed in, allowing you a moment to adjust to his thick member.
Mitsukuni’s thrusts were far different than the pleasurable assault you had moments prior.
His movements were slow and precise, driving his cock right into your sweet spot. Each thrust pouring his love straight into you as he kissed your lips swollen and peppered your face and shoulder.
You wanted nothing more than to clutch onto his shoulders, urge him to fuck you harder into the mattress, but with your hands bound you could only clutch the pillow above your head.
He adjusted slightly, pulling one of your legs up for leverage as he drove himself even further into you, thrusting back in roughly but keeping his pace slow.
You moaned, clutching the sheets more, “Fuck, just wanna touch you….”
He leaned down, practically pinning your leg to your chest as he gave you a kiss, grunting into it when he reached down and rubbed your clit, pulling another moan from you.
He adjusted back, his pace quickening as you came undone around him, pulling his own orgasm.
Mitsukuni rode you both through your pleasure before catching himself above you for another kiss, carefully removing the silk tie from your wrists.
Immediately your arms went around him, pulling his chest flush with yours.
