Astrology Observations #2

After a long hiatus i'm back with a few observations I've made in the time I was gone. Hope you like it:)

🥀 Neptune in the 5th house may frequently get into a unhealthy one sided love if they don't learn to stop ignoring the red flags in the person their interested in. The presence of Neptune in this house makes you delusional towards your interest and blurs the line between love and obsession. It's the fact that yall chase after people who are obviously not good for you in the first place. Remember guys, reciprocation is very important in love and if you're not their number 1 then they shouldnt be yours either. My advice would be to stop making scenarios in your head and to take them for what they show you NOT what they could be. Learn to assert your boundries and stop romanticizing people who do the bare minimum you deserve better.

My cousin had this placement and she was dating this guy from Australia who was trying to come to America. Lionblaze thinking “they deserved it!” When Firestar expressed sympathy for them and said their lives were ruined and now Jayfeather’s angrily like “maybe things would’ve been better if Squirrelflight never came back” when he saw Leafpool’s memory of when she saw Brambleclaw and Squirrelflight off when they went on the journey to see Midnight. Like y’all I get it, you were lied to but like 😭😭😭 SQUIRRELFLIGHT WAS FORCED INTO IT, YOUR LOVELY LITTLE STARCLAN PRESSURED HER INTO IT TO THE POINT OF LYING TO HER JUST SO SHE’D TAKE YALL IN WHEN SHE REALLY DIDNT WANT TO Hhhnngg I know they don’t know that, I know they don’t know how it happened but it hurts to read smh 😔 and the “I was lied to” angst made a lot more sense with Hollyleaf cuz the warrior code was so important to her and she built her life around it. Edit: Ok. Jayfeather thinks if they’ve been truthful, they’d help with the prophecy. And there it is again. His opinions on others is completely based on this prophecy so this continues to be funny. He’s basically like “you’re useful to the prophecy? I like you. You’re not useful to the prophecy? Ew, get away from me.” But still. Hollyleaf was still the best out of the three when it comes to the adopted thing imo. Cuz to her, it was more than that, it was the fact that she’s a medicine cat’s kit and halfclan. And like I said, she built her life around the warrior code, so her feeling betrayed was more interesting in my opinion. I love Hollyleaf. I know I said that I love Squirrelflight and Leafpool and that I wouldn’t stand for the slander and Hollyleaf hated them, she even fantasized ripping Leafpool to shreds. But I just feel her character and her behavior after learning the secret is so interesting imo. i feel like this ones a LITTLE obvious but while his mom was in the hospital probably! his childhood home would be all empty he'd have no one to come home to and he would only come home after doing jobs and visiting her so he had no time for literally anyone or anything else, not that he really had the energy for anything else anyway, at least after she died he would go out and just talk to anyone off the street but while she was still alive it was just him and a dying woman while he pushed away anyone else bc he felt extremely vulnerable during this time too (he was also like. 25 so he was also just dealing w being a young adult and all the angst there so . he was NOT doing well)

ALOT OF IT im always very proud of my lil characters backstories hehe... i try to make them all make sense for the person a character has developed into and i feel like vickys especially really reflects that, if i really had to choose one aspect it would be how death just follows him all throughout his backstory, people dying annd leaving him left and right making him really feel surrounded by it ya kno... not even just with the obvious stuff like ALOT of his childhood friends end up dying lmao its just fun themes ...

How I feel about this character: little serio rei deserves love. he deserves protection. he was abused and mistreated and the way he grew up chills me to the bone. he suffered and he didnt deserve to because he was just a child. that being said PERSONA as an adult sucks. i hate that guy. years of emotionally, physically, and psychologically abusing his students for no reason is not something i can forgive. was it jealousy that they dont live in cages like he did? was it a way for him to let out his anger and despair? was it just bc the esp manipulated him? honestly, i really dont give a shit. i understand better than anyone that abuse can easily become a cycle but that doesnt mean im okay with persona's actions. being abused as a child doesnt give you a get-out-of-jail-free card for abusing more children. natsume is my son, my blorbo. i cannot tolerate the grown adult man who COMMANDED him to take his own life and told him that his only value was as the black cat. no thanks. no hate to persona fans, but natsume is my baby boy above everything

Any/all the people I ship romantically with this character: i ship him with therapy and staying far away from all children always since his he has a tendency to act violently whenever he sees one.

My favorite non-romantic relationship for this character: THAT BEING SAID. izumi. ah. maybe if izumi hadnt died rei wouldnt have grown up to be persona and things would be better for everyone. ALAS. he must also be held accountable for his own actions. it cant always be about how the esp fucked everyone up. persona is a grown adult, not just a victim of circumstance... tho it seemed at the end like he understood that better than the narrative smh

My unpopular opinion about this character: hmm hmm hmm. i talked about this in the discord with someone but i think its very sus that persona is more easily forgiven than luna. it smells like misogyny to me. luna and persona have almost identical arcs: being groomed by the esp, purposefully isolated and manipulated so they align with him, abusing children only to regret their actions and change sides at the very last moment. i dont really understand at all why luna is somehow worse than him when theyre pretty much the exact same. in fact, i could argue luna was a little less of a menace than persona when it comes to their treatment of the kids bc she only started playing a role with students halfway thru the story as opposed to being an abusive teacher for years before the story even began. theyre both terrible but i dont understand why luna is treated more harshly when persona is NOT better at all. at least luna actually stayed away from the kids after her redemption.

One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon: i wanted so badly for natsume to punch him in the face or tell him off. we never got natsume saying ANYTHING about persona at the end which sucks bc out of everyone he deserves to and he shouldve gotten the chance. i choose to believe that natsume has socked persona in the face many times before the epilogue chapters.

Favorite friendship for this character: i dont think he has friends honestly

How I feel about this character:

it is no secret. i enjoy a tortured skrunkly. the tragic hero trope is literally SO FUN in EVERY PIECE OF MEDIA. i cant get enough of it. im not like one of those "omg soft uwu bean just needs some love and then he'll be good" type of people about him though. he deserves what he gets. he deserves this fate. but i love him for that. such an interesting and dynamic character type. pls give me more characters who are made evil while trying to set themselves on the path of a hero.

Any/all the people I ship romantically with this character:

ill be real here. nobody. this dude's got wayyyy too many personal problems for me to pair him with somebody in good conscience. but if i had to choose then um uhh umm dark choco x pain and darkness

My favorite non-romantic relationship for this character:

dark choco and pomegranate. oh my god i love their dynamic and how they absolutely fucking hate each other. and how theyre so different AND alike at the same time. dark choco does what he does because he believes it is the only path for him. pomegranate does what she does because she is just. like that. but they both have a common goal, and they both believe this to be their ultimate destiny. they both feel as though they dont have a choice, but the difference between them is that one is reluctant and one is accepting of that notion. ALSO THE FACT THAT BOTH OF THEM LAID WASTE TO THEIR OWN HOMES??? THERES SO MANY CINEMATIC PARALLELS BETWEEN THESE TWO AND GAHHH ITS SO INTERESTING TO ME. TWO SIDES OF THE SAME GOD DAMN COIN!!!!! give me more interactions between these two. please.

My unpopular opinion about this character:

ok. ok here it is. heres the bombshell:

i dont think he should be redeemed.

like, i wouldnt mind a redemption. in fact, i think it would be fitting for him to get a redemption. all it would take is a crack in the armor of his demeanor. just one doubt that will spiderweb into a full-blown character arc of betrayal against his current team.

i just dont think he should have a full 180 in terms of turn around. a simple 90 would suit him better. what that means to me is that yes, he does ultimately abandon the evil side, but he also doesnt join the good side. this dudes committed war crimes against his own people, and tried to kill his dad TWICE NOW. having him just... switch to being a beacon of goodness would feel so unsatisfying. i think he should perceive the forks in the road, but i think he should abandon the road altogether. have him leave to go off on his own, let him find peace of mind away from the fight. his entire life has been a battle against his foes, his father, and himself. let him rest.

One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon:

OK OK OK I WISH WE WOULD GET TO SEE MORE ON THE STRAWBERRY JAM SWORD AND HOW IT AFFECTS HIM. like I wish we could just ONCE see its so-called "mind-altering powers" in action (besides during the flashback in the CoD storyline). id love to see what it makes its host do, and how it makes its host act. we know what its capable of, but not what its capable of, if you catch my drift. so yeah id like something fucked up and evil to happen thank you very much.

Favorite friendship for this character:

so, milk cookie. i love that dude so much. and i absolutely adore that he totally has a big fat hero crush on dark choco. i mean of course its one-sided as fuck but like. awww. one side of me loves the idea of milk having a "don't meet your heroes" moment and being absolutely sickened at learning of his hero's actions. angst moment. but the other half of me would love it if milk was kind to him regardless of that. like i just want their friendship to be "why is this guy following me around is he going to mug me" and "omg let me get the door for you!! watch out for that puddle!!!!!!!! i will buy you lunch!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

another one is avocado. in ovenbreak shes the only one he has a "trust" relationship with and i think that's so cute. maybe she still sees the good in him and is the only one willing to work on his weapons and armor. what if they knew each other before shit hit the fan. what if she is still a friend to him regardless. what if they went to the bar together. what if they had arm wrestling competitions. what if they respected each other soooo much.

Mr. Grumpy appears in 44 episodes of Season 2.

In 8 of these episodes does he do something wrong.

Conclusions

Mr. Grumpy does something wrong in 15 out of the 83 episodes he appears in, which is 18%. Counting my 10 unsures bumps him up to 25/83, which is 30%.

Mr. Grumpy is a super weird character to rank, as he's justifiably annoyed by pretty much everyone around him; this, however, makes me feel bad to consider him an asshole in any episode because he's beaten down by the world until he snaps. So, take everything I say here with a grain of salt.

The one thing I'll always count against him though is if he ever threatens Mr. Tickle with bodily harm because believe me he does that A LOT
