Arizona had warned her. She had warned her ten hours ago, saying that she should take the day off of work because she’d be sick. Callie wasn’t typically one to ignore her wife’s typically valid points, but she scoffed at the idea that the perky blonde could predict when someone would be sick with no evidence at all.
As a medical professional, she needed evidence for just about any decision in her life. There came a certain comfort when one worked in a field driven by science, a level of surety that was never swayed by opinion. No matter what someone believed there was a correct answer. There may have been multiple, but there was always an answer if you were willing to find it.
Imagine the orthopedic surgeon's annoyance when she woke up for her next shift with a pounding headache and stuffy nose. She groaned inwardly and rolled over in bed, surprised to find it empty. Her wife was nowhere to be seen. Shit.
The brunette checked the time and her ‘shit’ feeling grew more intense. She was late. She was so very late.
Ignoring the protests of her overly exhausted body the surgeon pulled herself out of bed and raced to the bathroom, pulling on the first clothes that she managed to yank from the dresser. She managed to brush her teeth while doing her hair, a feat that she was mildly impressed by. She was capable of doing anything if she was late.
Callie ran into the kitchen, grabbing her bags as she headed for the door, pulling up short when she saw a note on the counter.
Calliope-
Don’t you dare come to work today. Bailey knows you’re sick and is under orders to alert me if you are seen entering the hospital. There’s chicken soup in the fridge, heat it for lunch. I’ll call you in a few hours to check-in.
Love you,
Arizona
The note gave the ill doctor pause. What if she did say home? What if she followed her wife’s orders and went back to bed? She knew from experience that Arizona made amazing chicken noodle soup, it was practically the only thing that she could cook. She also knew that there was a good chance that the blonde would come home to her if she asked.
Callie pushed the thought away as quickly as it had appeared, she probably wouldn’t be allowed to see patients but she could at least fill out paperwork. Like most of her coworkers, she was awful about finishing her paperwork on time, there was just so much going on that she didn’t always have time.

Amelia was startled from her intense study of the brain scan by a hacking cough that reverberated off of the walls and made her chest hurt in sympathy. She poked her head through the doorway and curled her lip at the sight of Callie stumbling down the hallway.
“Torres!” She called, pulling the brunette’s attention away from whatever her original task was. Based on the glazed look in the Ortho Goddesses eyes and the emptiness in her expression Amelia wasn’t even sure that she had a task.
“Damn, you’ve kept that cough through two colds and it sounds like you’re on your third.” The neurosurgeon murmured, pressing the back of her hand against Callie’s hot forehead. She grimaced and the other doctor took a few quick steps away, looking dazed. She turned away and began to cough into her arm, doing her best to shield the woman in front of her from the germs.
Amelia reared back, covering her mouth with a hand.
“No, nope. I have to be in a kid's brain in two hours, you are not giving me whatever that is. Go home Callie, you’re gross.” She wrinkled her nose and gave Callie a sympathetic pat on the shoulder before running off to rub hand sanitizer on any part of her body that might have been exposed to whatever her friend was currently infected with.
The ill woman sniffled tiredly and trudged down the hall, not going anywhere in particular. With her brain on autopilot, Callie found herself wandering onto the pediatric unit, right to where Arizona was signing reports outside of a young patient's room.
“I want a clotting test done on her and make sure to continue monitoring her vitals, page me if they drop any lower.” The blonde doctor ordered, smiling warmly at a nurse. The man nodded and went to get the things needed for the clotting test.
Callie realized her mistake at the last second and tried to veer off course, but it was too late, she had been seen. The pediatric surgeon glared at her sick girlfriend and shook her head, resisting the urge to start yelling in the middle of the hallway.
While the woman always loved her heelies, she was particularly grateful for them in that moment, it made it much easier to catch up with her fleeing lover.
“Calliope! What the hell are you doing here?” She hissed, grabbing the brunette's shoulder and spinning her around. Callie looked at her with wide eyes, seeming at a loss for words. She was never at a loss for words, she always had something to say.
Arizona felt her heart drop at the look on the woman’s face, she just looked exhausted and confused.
“Callie. Baby. Why are you here?” She asked, her voice softening as she let go of the frustration. Her girlfriend had a fever, she wasn’t fully aware of what was happening.
“I um…I didn’t want to be alone.” Callie said sheepishly, refusing to meet Arizona’s eyes. She was incredibly embarrassed by the admission, she wasn’t one to express any kind of weakness, and this, this was weakness. This was just about as bad as it could get. She was vulnerable, she wanted her girlfriend.
“Oh, Calliope. Okay,” The blonde sighed, pinching the bridge of her nose as she tried to figure out what she should do. She could stick the other woman in a room until her shift was over, that might be the best course of action. Or she could just take her home to make sure that she rested and it was probably best to remove her from the hospital entirely so that she didn't sneak off to work.
“Ellen,” She said, turning back to one of the nurses. “I’m going to take Dr. Torres home, I want you to page Dr. Montgomery-Shepard if anything happens. She will decide if I am needed.” The nurse nodded her understanding and gave Callie a sympathetic smile. The doctor wrinkled her nose in distaste, unhappy that she was getting so much attention. She just wanted her girlfriend.
“C’mon Callie. Let’s go.” Arizona whispered, looping her arm through the other woman’s. Callie coughed into her shoulder and the ped’s surgeon hummed her disapproval and rubbed her back to calm the fit.
“You okay?”
“Mhm,” Callie replied, rasped rather, her eyes dull and clouded with fever. She had started to shiver a bit, inching closer to the woman by her side. Arizona held her a bit tighter as they walked out of the building, throwing a wave at a slightly annoyed-looking Bailey on the way out.
One look at the orthopedic surgeon and the woman’s expression turned from frustrated confusion to a mix of disgust and concern. She waved back with a slight eye-roll, leaving the two to go home.
Callie fell asleep as soon as Arizona started the car, her cold taking everything out of her. The blonde smiled over at her girlfriend, her heart swelling at just how beautiful she was. The wrinkles on her forehead were gone, leaving a soft content expression on her face.
Her lips were parted and her nose was red, but that didn’t take away from her overall beauty. It added a sort of vulnerability to the woman’s stoic demeanor. That was when Arizona realized: she was in love with Calliope Torres.
She drove in silence, contemplating the revelation that she’d just had, glancing over at the sick brunette every few seconds just to reassure herself that the woman was still breathing. The quiet was only broken by the sounds of Callies soft snores and sniffles.
When they arrived home Arizona was almost hesitant to wake the brunette, she was sleeping more peacefully than she had in weeks. But her cheeks were flushed and her nose had begun to run across her lip, they needed to go inside.
She climbed out of the car and shut the door quietly, hoping to give her just a few more seconds of rest. The blonde opened Callie’s door and touched her shoulder, squeezing it gently to wake her up.
“Hey Callie, it's time to wake up.” She murmured, reaching up to tuck a lock of thick dark hair behind her lover's ear. The brunette started, sitting up quickly with wide confused eyes. She stared at Arizona, almost looking right through her.
“Hey baby, it’s okay.” Callie frowned, looking around, disoriented as she tried to take in her surroundings. She was pretty sure she’d fallen asleep at the hospital, but…this wasn’t the hospital.
“We’re at home, remember?” The blonde could read her mind and any other day it would be cute, but for now it was creepy. It was making her nervous, she didn’t fully understand what was happening and all she wanted to do was go back to sleep, hopefully in her girlfriend’s arms.
“We’re at home?” She asked, blinking tiredly up at her fellow surgeon.
“Mhm, we’re home. Come on, let's get you inside.” Arizona wrapped an arm around Callie’s waist and helped her walk inside, being incredibly careful not to let her trip up the steps. It was a slow, painstaking process, but soon enough she had the brunette in the bedroom, standing near the bed.
“I gotta change.”
“Woah, woah, sit down your complexion’s scaring me. I’ll help you change, okay? Let's take your temp first.” The pediatric surgeon whipped out a thermometer and dragged it across Callie’s forehead, simultaneously forcing the brunette to sit down. She held the woman’s chin in hand as she stared at the device in her hand.
“Okay, 101.6, that’s not as bad as I thought. Here, I want you to change into these while I get some NyQuil, which you will be taking. Understood?” Arizona had gone full-on doctor mode, not leaving anything up to fate. She would be taking everything into her own hands to make sure that her girlfriend got better instead of worse.
Callie sighed and nodded, slightly relieved to have her girlfriend with her. She wasn’t alone, she didn’t have to deal with it on her own, and she had someone to take care of her. The brunette watched as Arizona left the room and began the painstaking process of undressing, her muscles aching in protest with her every move.
She had managed to pull on the sweatpants and get the shirt half off when the other woman returned, a bottle of Nyquil in one hand and a glass of orange juice in the other. She set her things down on the bedside table and chuckled at he lover's predicament, rolling her eyes slightly.
“Need some help?” She chuckled, moving to pull the shirt off the rest of the way and replace it with the soft cotton one. With the woman changed and sitting in bed, she was now pouting up at her blonde lover.
“I don’t feel good.” The brunette complained, sniffling pathetically. Her cheeks were flushed which was a huge contrast to the pallor of the rest of her skin. As soon as the ‘I’m the toughest person in the room grrr’ attitude wore off, Callie turned into a big baby when she was sick. It was sort of endearing.
“I know Callie. Take this and drink half of that OJ and then you can get some sleep.” Arizona ordered, handing over the small ‘shot glass’ of medicine. The ill woman grimaced and glanced up with a ‘do I have to?’ look on her face that she hoped would work. She forgot that her girlfriend got that look all of the time.
“Nice try, take it.” With a long-suffering sigh, Callie did what she was told, being sure to exaggerate her disgusted expression the whole time.
“You’re mean.” She grumbled, reaching for the orange juice to chase the awful taste of the medicine.
“Yeah, but I’m cute.” Arizona grinned back at her and began to change, pulling her hair out of its ponytail as she climbed back into comfy clothes, fully intending to join her girlfriend.
Callie drank about a quarter of the  OJ before she couldn’t do it anymore, her throat protesting against the acidity of the drink. It wasn’t that she didn’t want to make Arizona happy, but she just couldn’t drink anymore.
“Alright, I guess that’ll do. Now, you are going to take a nap and I am going to do some work. Sound good?” The blonde wasn’t really looking for an agreement, it was happening whether or not Callie wanted, but thankfully she did.
She curled into the woman’s side as she pulled the blankets over the two of them, opening her laptop as she settled under the covers. The slightly younger surgeon put one hand on the top of Callie’s head, stroking her hair as she typed with one hand, the clack of the keys lulling the sick woman into a sleepy daze.
“‘Zona?” She mumbled, already slurring as she began to fall asleep. Arizona hummed in response, not looking up from her screen. She had files to finish and this was the perfect excuse to catch up on some of the pointless work that she’d been putting off.
“Love you ‘Zona.” She stopped in her work and looked down at the woman by her side, a smile spreading across her lips. Callie was chuckling quietly, her body shaking with quiet laughter.
“I love you too. Now shush, I need to work.” And that was that. Calliope Torres lay with Arizona Robbins, one sleeping fitfully while the other worked. It wasn’t the most glamorous sick day, and it wasn’t the most comfortable, but at least she wasn’t alone. Both would later agree that leaving Callie to roam while she had a fever was definitely not the best idea.

REQUEST GUIDELINES
If you have requests for characters outside of the above, please feel free to send them on anyway! The above are just characters I've written for before. If I'm familiar with the character/source material and the request meets my parameters, I'll be happy to give it a shot!
PARAMETERS:
I only write x reader. I don't really enjoy writing about already-existing relationships or character ships.
I only write for people with v*lvas. I absolutely welcome non-binary/gender non-conforming characters/readers. Just be aware that, where smut is concerned, I only feel confident writing about humans with v*ginas.
I don't feel comfortable writing dark!characters or smut that's degrading. Kinks and other smut-related requests I take on a case-by-case basis. But I absolutely will not write anything that even gets close to the line of non-consensual. No shade to you if the above are things you enjoy reading/writing, they're just personally not for me.
Autistic readers are so welcome! I love reading and writing x autistic!reader fics!
I do feel comfortable writing about the aftermath of trauma (sexual or otherwise), most mental illnesses, etc. I enjoy a good hurt/comfort fic and, as someone who's dealt with both of the above, I know it can be very comforting to read something that makes you feel like you're cared for and safe.
I also really enjoy writing headcanons, so feel free to request those as well! The same rules apply for headcanons that apply for fics.
Send those requests on, bbs!

Hey!
Can you make a Mark Sloan fanfic?
Y/n and Mark Sloan are a couple and they are expecting their first child together which they had found out three weeks ago. They were surprised when y/n had found out that she was pregnant but Mark was thrilled about it.
Y/n has started with morning sickness and she was tired of it, every morning she woke up feeling nauseous. Mark felt bad for his girlfriend since she was feeling the way she felt, he was just trying to be there for her.
They have an ultrasound today.
Y/n is working at the hospital as an attending and she is really close friend to Callie Torres who also is pregnant.
Something with Mark just being there for his pregnant girlfriend, and how she falls even more in love with him everyday.

mark sloan x pregnant, fem!reader
summary: you’re struggling with the changes you’re undergoing through your pregnancy but mark helps you
warnings: pregnancy
-
It was six in the morning currently and you’d yet again been awoken by morning sickness. You hastily walked to the bathroom (your room fortunately had an en-suite bathroom). You grabbed your hair before throwing up in the toilet. A cold hand pressed against your back and took your hair. You leaned against him, you could tell it was Mark by the feel of his hands.
Luckily for you, today you were meant to be at work early so the morning sickness wasn’t wasted. “Get back into bed, baby. I’ll make something for you.”, Mark said as he headed to the kitchen. “You don’t have to, babe.”, you replied but your regretted that when you felt the soft mattress of your bed. “Never mind, please do.”, you shouted to him. He just chuckled.
Mark called you into your spacious kitchen and placed a plate of toast and eggs in front of you. “Thank you.”, you kissed his lips tenderly.
Once you had finished your breakfast, you put something casual on and got in the passenger seat as you waited for Mark. As you messed with the radio trying to find the best station, you heard the car door slam abruptly, indicating that Mark was ready to leave. “Ready?”, he asked you. “Yeah.”, you responded.
“Did you know that I already ordered a crib?”, he questioned. “No… aww that’s so cute, Mark, you’re such a dad.”, you stated as you reached over to squeeze his hand. “I also got some toys, don’t worry they’re gender-neutral.”, he added. “You’re so sweet and thoughtful, Mark!”, you said in a teasing manner but you really meant your words, Mark knew this though despite your mischievous take on it.
Mark helped you it the car after parking, even though you were only twelve weeks pregnant and had no bump at all, he would still insist on helping you the most he could. “I have an ultrasound today, it is at three, can you make it?”, you asked. “I believe I’m in surgery at two and it’s a long one. I’ll try and make it but if not would you be able to print me the photos?”, he questioned kindly.
“I always get the photos anyway, I’ll just go with Callie since she has one booked just before mine.” Mark nodded his head. You were an orthopaedic attending and so you and Callie were quite close, especially now due to you being pregnant at the same time.
Mark let go of your hand as he headed to get changed into his scrubs. You got changed into yours before catching up on your rounds.
Before long, it was two fifty and so you made your way to the OB/GYN ward. Callie walked out. “Hi, how was it?”, you asked sweetly as she sat next to you. “It was great, look at her now.”, she said as you looked at the ultrasound picture. “She? Is that an instinct?”, you questioned. “Yeah. You know I just have that feeling she’s going to be a girl. What about yours?”, she reciprocated. “Hmm, I’m not sure, maybe girl as well actually.”
“Y/N Y/L/N.”, the receptionist called out. “Come on.”, you walked over to a gynaecologist who had just walked out. Turns out it was the one Callie had just had. You lifted up your shirt as the doctor put the cold gel against your stomach. “This will be cold.”, she stated matter-of-factly. She placed the wand against the gel and on the screen you could just make out your baby. You stared in disbelief, you couldn’t believe you and Mark were really having a baby. “Would you be able to print off two sets of the sonogram, please?”, you asked kindly. “My boyfriend’s in surgery right now, so…”, you added, feeling the need to explain yourself.
As you exited the room, you found Mark just walking into the waiting room. “Hey, baby.”, he called you over as he noticed you. “How was it? Did you get the pictures?”, he asked you excitedly. “I’m so sorry I missed it. It was a mandatory surgery that I needed to be in for.”, he explained. “Babe, it’s fine. I work as a surgeon too, you don’t need to explain yourself.”, you kissed him to ease his worries. “Here’s the sonogram.”, you handed him one set of them.
“Aww, I can barely make her out. She’s so little.”, he said. “Do you think our baby is a girl?”
“Hmm?”, he asked, not paying attention to what you asked as he stared at the images. “You said her.”
“Oh, yeah. What do you think she is?”, he questioned. “Me and Callie were just talking about this. I think she’ll also be a girl.”, you stated. “I’m kind of hoping for a girl.”, Mark muttered gently. “You do give me the vibes of a girl dad.”, you joked. He laughed. You stared deeply into his eyes and he pressed a soft kiss to your temple. “I love you.”, you smiled. “I love you and our baby more.”, he replied as he smiled.

Mark Sloan x own character
Tumblr media
Back story
Mark Sloan had been dating Meredith Grey’s older sister Madison Grey, and they had ended there relationship a couple of months ago. Madison had broken up with Mark when he wanted to step up and be a father for his pregnant daughter that he had only known for two months, but it was too much for Madison and she wasn’t ready to be a step mother to a teenager.
Madison Grey was working at Seattle Grace hospital as the head of Cardio, she was close friends with Callie Torres who works at the hospital and she was a really good friend with Addison Montgomery but she wasn’t working at the hospital anymore.
Friends to both Madison and Mark never thought that they would get together, they didn’t even had that thought when Mark was making sexual comments.
Madison’s pov
I was at the hospital and I was working like I had been doing for the past hour, at the moment I was standing by the nurses station and just filling out some paperwork. I looked up from my papers and I saw Callie walking over to me and I saw she was smiling a little bit. I just wished that I was feeling her mood today, but I wasn’t.
Madison - hey, you look happy.
Callie - I am, and you look like you have been sick.
Madison - oh…thanks.
I went back to looking at my paperwork, and we stayed quiet for a couple of seconds before Callie spoke up again.
Callie - can we go and talk somewhere else?
Madison - sure.
She pulled me away from nurses station and she dragged me away towards the girls bathroom which wasn’t to far away from the nurses station. Callie was looking around inside of the bathroom to see if someone else was there.
Madison - what’s up, Callie?
Callie - I have something to tell you.
Madison - okay, I’m listening.
Callie - I’m pregnant!
Madison - OMG, that’s amazing. Who’s the father?
Callie - you remember the guy from the bar?
Madison - yes?
Callie - he is the father but I don’t know anything about him.
I don’t know what happened to me and my body but I just started to feel really nauseous, I had to take a few deep breaths and leaned in to the sink.
Callie - what’s going on with you?
Madison - I don’t know, I haven’t been feeling so good for the past couple of days. I have been throwing up and feeling nauseous.
Callie - is there a chance that you might as well is pregnant?
Madison - god no, you need to have…….
I started to think for a few seconds, the last person I slept with was Mark Sloan which was a couple of weeks ago and the same night as Callie slept with a stranger.
Callie - did you and Mark use protection?
Madison - I don’t know, I was drunk and I don’t remember so much of that night.
Callie - stay here, I will go and grab something. I will be right back.
When Callie had left the bathroom I started to think about the possibility that I might be pregnant, I was freaking out about little bit. I haven’t thought about having kids, my career has always been on my mind. And I didn’t have the best mom which had lead me to not thinking about kids since she was also a surgeon.
Callie came back after she had been gone for a couple of minutes, but I saw Callie holding something in her hand.
Callie - take this test!
She handed me the pregnancy test and I walked in to one of the bathroom stalls, and I peed on the stick and then I just had to wait.
Two days later
Mark’s pov
It was early in the morning and I was still laying in my bed, I heard Callie was up and doing something in the kitchen. She had been staying with me since Arizona had left to Africa but Arizona was back in Seattle but Callie didn’t want to move back in to the apartment just yet.
I heard a knock to my bedroom door, and I was expecting to see Callie opening the door but it wasn’t her. Madison Grey was the one who opened the door and walked in to my bedroom.
Mark - hey!
Madison - hey.
She sounded nervous and she looked kind of nervous, which isn’t normal to see.
Mark - what are you doing here? Do you need the Sloan method?
Madison - no.
She laughed a little, and I had missed hearing her laugh. I had missed everything about her since she broke up with me and after the night we had been sharing together at my place.
Madison - I need to tell you something.
Mark - okay, come and sit here.
I had my hand on the other side of the bed to show her that she could sit down on my bed. I watched as she took a deep breath before she said something.
Madison - I’m pregnant!
It felt like a bitch slap on my face and I just stayed quiet, I was shocked when I heard what Madison told me. I was so damn shocked I couldn’t say anything or even move.
Madison’s pov
Less then five minutes ago I had told Mark that I was pregnant, he haven’t said a word since I told him. I guess he was shocked to hear this and especially since Callie had told that she was pregnant yesterday.
Madison - You have to say something. Words. Make words.
Mark - Holy crap.
Madison - Yep.
Mark - A baby?
Madison - Growing like a weed in my uterus.
Mark - Not like a weed. Like a mighty oak.
I really thought that he would freak out, but I guess he just needed to process it.
Mark - I just have to ask. Is it mine?
Madison - yes, it is. You are the last person I slept with.
Mark - We're gonna be great parents.
Madison - Mark, you ... you don't have to do ...
Mark - Are you kidding? That's my kid in there.
He placed his hand on my stomach, I was now laying next to him over the covers in his bed.
Mark - I'm a dad. We're parents ... of a baby.
I couldn’t help but smile, and I couldn’t help to notice that Mark had an even bigger smile on his face.
Madison - Okay. You're in.
Mark - Should we get married?
Madison - Oh, no. No, I mean, I'm all for raising a baby with you, but, uh, there's a line.
Me and Mark aren’t even together and I don’t want to get married now, and especially since I’m pregnant. I want to get married in the future and the only reason why to get married is love, and not to get married because someone knocked me up.
General’s pov
About 6 hours had passed since the early morning, Madison and Mark was at the hospital working like they usually do. Mark and Madison haven’t seen each other since Madison left his apartment.
Mark had been walking around in the hospital for the past 10 minutes to look after Derek. And after he had been walking around in the hospital, he finally found Derek sitting in one of the conference rooms.
Mark walked in to the room and Derek looked up from his paperwork and watched as Mark was standing in front of him on the opposite side of the table.
Derek - Want to know what's really fun and not at all depressing? Alzheimer's research.
Mark - Madison is having my baby.
Derek - what?
Mark - right? Best news of my life. At least it would be, if she wanted to get back together.
Madison and Mark didn’t get the chance to talk about them this morning.
Mark - I just want to get back together with her, so that we can be a family and give our baby the family that I didn’t have. But I don’t know what to do, especially since Madison is stubborn.
Derek had just been quiet the whole time since Mark had opened his mouth and talked about himself and about Madison.
Mark - You're the man with the answers. What do you think?
Derek - How could Meredith and I try for months and not have any luck, and you look at somebody, and a baby appears?
Mark - Sloans are unusually fertile.
Derek - You're a classic example of failing up.
Mark - Not exactly the advice I was looking for.
Derek - Well, you got it. Cheers.
Mark was just standing by the wall and watching as Derek walked out of the room. Mark was really happy and thrilled that Madison was pregnant with his child but he was scared as well of everything.
Mark’s pov
Most of my work day had passed and I haven’t seen Madison since she was at my place. After I had talked to Derek a couple of things have been going through in my head. I have been thinking about me and Madison, I have been talking to Arizona since she is in kind of same position as me with Callie.
I was currently standing outside of OR 2 and waiting for Madison to be done with her surgery. I wanted to talk to her for a few minutes and ask her something.
I have been waiting for Madison for about 30minutes, I was looking at some paperwork which was about the patient Madison was working on. The time went really slow and it felt like I have been waiting for two hours but I had only been waiting for little over 30minutes.
I watched as Madison walked out of the OR and behind her Lexie Grey and Alex Karev walked out of the OR. Madison saw me and she said something to the residents before she walked over to me.
Madison - hey.
Mark - hey, how did the surgery go?
Madison - good, the patient survived.
I don’t know but I was a little bit nervous, it has been about 6 or 7 month since she and I was a couple and it didn’t end the way I wanted. I was pretty cold towards her when she did break up with me and then I was just an ass.
Mark - can we talk tonight after work?
Madison - sure.
Mark - can you come by my place then, at 8?
Madison - yeah, is everything okay?
Mark - yes.
I didn’t want to tell her right away what I wanted to talk to her about, I wanted to wait for tonight.
Madison’s pov
I had finished my shift about one and a half hour ago, and I had just walked in to the apartment building where Mark is living and where Callie and Arizona are living too. I took the elevator to the fifth floor where they are all living but Mark has his own apartment and Callie has one with Arizona.
I had just walked out of the elevator and I was walking towards where Mark is living, I came up to his door and I press the doorbell. I just had to wait a few seconds before the door opened, and Mark was standing there in a pair of black pants and a black shirt.
Mark - hey!
Madison - hey.
He let me inside, and I followed him as he walked towards the kitchen which was connected to the living room. We both stayed quiet as we walked in to the kitchen, I smelled pizza and my eyes did catch the sight of a homemade pizza on the kitchen island.
Mark - I made some pizza, and I know you love pizza. I have some great things on the pizza which I read was good for the baby.
Madison - thanks!
I watched as Mark took two pizza slices and he placed each one of them on two plates, he handed me one of the plates and he went and took a seat next to me on the kitchen island. I took a bit of the pizza and it tasted really good, and I was almost a little surprised that Mark could cook something this good.
When we were a couple before, it was always me cooking.
Madison - delicious pizza.
Mark - thanks, I’m glad you liked it.
Madison - okay, Mark. Why did you ask me to come here?
Mark - I wanted to talk about us and the baby.
I knew this would come but I didn’t think he would bring it up so fast.
Mark - I want you to give us a second chance. We are having a baby and I know you want to give our baby a family, the family that we didn’t really have.
I had to think for a few seconds.
Madison - okay, I will give us a second chance. But then I want us to take it slow and not rush in to things.
Mark - deal, you won’t regret!
He had a big smile on his face and I couldn’t help to laugh a little. Mark got a little closer to me and he leaned in with his head until our lips were connected. I had missed feeling his lips on my lips, I even felt like a teenage girl again as we were kissing.
Mark - stay here tonight.
Madison - okay.
We continued to kiss and we had totally forgot about the pizza, the night started with kisses and the night ended with us sleeping together.
Would you guys like another part of this?

Grey’s Pack: More Common
Fandom: Grey’s Anatomy Summary: A lot of things are more common that people tend to think they are. Including falling in love with your ex's best friend, as Callie quickly finds out. Warnings: A/B/O Dynamics, mentions of injuries/broken bones, mentions of surgery Word Count: 2,363 Ship(s): Callie Torres/Izzie Stevens

Callie stopped when she had finally gotten over to Bailey, who was giving out the instructions that her residents needed to be able to complete their tasks throughout the day. "Hey, I need someone on my service for the day to help out on a case," she said as she peaked over the betas shoulder.
Upon hearing the request, George grabbed his couple of charts for his patients off of the desk and walked off down the hall. The morning sickness he had was almost completely gone, but the sounds of bones crunching still made him sick to his stomach and the pregnancy prevented him from being able to handle that like he normally would.
The chief resident turned and looked over the remaining residents, none of whom were chomping at the bit to be able to go and work with broken bones. "Stevens, you go," she pointed to the blond and then to the alpha behind her. She then picked up her own charts before she went down the hall.
"Me?" Izzie called after her as she turned to face the beta as she walked away. "A-are you really-? Me? With her?"
Callie raised a brow and felt her heart sink into her stomach a little bit. "Is there a problem with you being on my service, Stevens?"
The omega whirled around again. Her cheeks were an adorable, perfect rosey color. She smiled and then cleared her throat as she tried to make herself look more professional. She couldn't keep her eyes in one place for long. "No, no, there's no problem with it!"
The alpha looked her up and down, letting the dread and nervousness that she had been feeling lighten up a little bit. She motioned for the omega to follow her down the hallway so that they could get to their patient. Izzie took a moment, glancing around to see if anyone would come with her to stop her from embarrassing herself. No one was going to come to her aid, so she just headed down the hall to her doom.
"Alright, Dr. Stevens," Callie said as she walked into the room with the patient. "This is Mr. Browne. He has a fracture in each of his legs that need to be repaired surgically." The alpha then brought out the x-rays from the pack that was resting underneath the chart on the table at the end of the patient's bed. She showed the other doctor where the breaks were and explained to both her and the patient what they were going to be doing. The patient stayed fairly quiet the entire time, though both residents were able to pick up on the shameful scent that was leaking out despite the beta's attempts to keep it under wraps.
The alpha sighed when she finally finished. "So I want you to get him prepared for his surgery in the next hour. I don't want to lose our OR to cardio again," she gave the omega a small smile.
"Don't worry, I won't let anyone steal it from you," Izzie blurted before her cheeks turned bright red. "I mean, um, yeah," she ducked her head out into the hallway but unfortunately the universe didn't seem keen on giving her a break any time soon as Callie tried to leave at the same time.
"Sorry, sorry," the alpha mumbled as she reached out and placed her hands on the omega's arms to hold her steady for a moment before she moved her back into the room and then darted out.
Izzie stood there, looking after the older doctor while feeling her heart race in her chest. She swore internally as her eyes shut for a moment as she berated herself for acting so stupid again. She had been able to keep her cool for so long, but then George got pregnant and her hormones went into overdrive to try and force her to act on her feelings for the alpha. She was the only unmated omega in the pack. She forced a smile onto her face as she turned around to help the patient get ready for his surgery.
---
They were basically alone in the OR since an emergency had come in so they only had the essential staff. Izzie leaned over the leg that she was closing up after Callie had placed the rods and fixed the bone so it was back where it was supposed to be. She watched the alpha carefully, though her eyes were up on the carefully placed eyeshadow and eyeliner that the alpha was wearing. She was only able to see a little bit of the alpha's face since she was completely scrubbed in. Callie had a mask and scrub cap on, as was procedure, but she also had a pair of safety goggles over her eyes since she was working with bones that could shoot up into her face.
She was so expressive while she worked. When she had finally finished getting something done and knew that she had chosen the right course of action, her brows raised up and her eyes sparkled with delight. When she was focusing her brows would furrow and knit together in such a way that made the omega long to kiss away her stress and worry. Despite their young age, she had small crows feet pulling at the edges of her eyes from the times that she had spent laughing and smiling.
"Stevens?"
Her heart jumped up into her throat as she realized that she had been caught. She turned her attention back to the work that she was supposed to be doing.
"Everything alright with those sutures?" Callie asked, glancing over at the other woman again.
"Yeah, yup, everything is fine," she chirped as she finished her work. She did everything as quickly as she could to be able to get out of the OR. She didn't want to make a fool of herself for the millionth time today because her stupid hormones were urging her to let the feelings she had tried to bury down forever ago come to fruition. She finished up and then stripped her gloves off while walking out of the OR to the scrub room.
Callie let her eyes wander off of the work that she was doing to follow the younger resident as she walked fully out of the room. "Finish up for me, will you?" she asked the intern that had been watching from a few feet away. The only thing left was sutures anyway, which was something that they were supposed to be proficient in doing. She also trusted her scrub nurse to be able to stop the intern if things went wrong. "I'll be just outside," she informed the beta before she hurried after the omega.
The aforementioned blond was removing her scrub cap and shoving it into the bin that would be taken down to laundry. "Stevens," Callie said a little too loud.
"Oh, God," she jumped and placed a hand over her heart. "S-sorry, Cal-Dr. Torres, I didn't see you there."
"Do I make you uncomfortable?" she blurted out. When she had followed after the omega she didn't really have an idea of what she was going to say, so she was flying by the seat of her pants.
"I'm sorry?" Izzie asked, shifting so that she was completely facing the omega.
"Do… Do I make you feel uncomfortable?" she repeated, her heart beating up in her throat.
The omega blinked at her a few times. "No, of course not! What made you think that?"
"Well, you always act around me versus the way that you act around pretty much everyone else in this hospital makes me think otherwise," she folded her arms over her chest defensively.
Izzie paused for a moment. She opened and closed her mouth a few times before she cleared her throat. Her eyes flicked down to the floor and stuck there as her cheeks began to light up a brilliant red color. "Well, um, there's… So an omega in my pack is pregnant, and, um," she paused. "My instincts are telling me that I need to get together with you since someone in my pack is expecting a baby and my biological clock is ticking."
"Oh," Callie said. She felt a blush begin to move up to her cheeks and ears. "So you are uncomfortable around me because your instincts are latching onto the most available and compatible mate."
She winced and reached forward so that she had grabbed the alpha's hand. "Not exactly," she took a careful step forward as she spoke. "I already liked you before George got pregnant. My instincts are just trying to make me get together with you because you're biologically compatible with me and I already liked you. I know that this is probably going to make a lot of things between us really awkward since we still have to work together and I've been making a fool out of myself for months now-"
Callie cut her off from talking by pressing her lips to the omega's. All of the muscles in Izzie’s body went completely rigid for a split second before she melted into the kiss. The alpha wrapped her arms tighter around her waist to bring them together so that they were entirely pressed against the each other. The omega reached up and wrapped her arms around Callie's neck and shoulders.
They had to break apart so that they were able to breathe. They pressed their foreheads together and the omega felt a dopey smile fall over her lips. "What was that for?" she asked softly.
"That was my way of telling you that I like you back," Callie replied sheepishly. "I like you a lot. You're really cute, and funny, and you're the most compassionate person that I've ever seen in this hospital. You make the patients you treat feel so at ease and comforted, and that makes me completely wild about you."
Izzie giggled. "You're not so bad yourself. You're a total badass and you come at the problems you're faced with like it's the most natural thing in the world. I could never be as amazing a surgeon as you. That and my instincts really like the idea that you could provide for me and any pups we would have," she flushed again. "I should know when to stop talking."
"No, you should keep talking. I know you like to plan out your future and think about things that might happen. So if you wanna do that, then do it," Callie grinned. Her face then dropped, "Wait, I can't court you. I already courted George and now he's together with Alex…"
Izzie shook her head. "You can still court me if you want. Alex and I were kind of together for a little while before he mated George, so it's not really a big deal if you want to try and date me after dating him. Meredith doesn't have a problem with that kind of thing."
"Understood, given the state of her own mates and their history," she laughed a little bit. Callie leaned forward and captured her lips in another kiss.
---
The duo finished up their patient and got an intern they knew they could trust on his post-op while they moved on to a few of their other patients. They were able to meet back up to talk about their relationship and decide the kind of things that they wanted to do with the blossoming love between the two. They agreed that they would tell her pack that they were interested in pursuing a relationship before they went on any dates to prevent any issues with the pack dynamic.
"I was going to go and check on Mr. Browne if you'd like to come," Callie said as she peeked over the omega's shoulder to see what she was working on.
"I'd like that. I want to see if he's doing okay," she nodded. She got up and stuck her pen back into her pocket as she stuck the chart under her arm. She gave the alpha a small peck on the lips before she walked out of the resident lounge and towards the direction of the room where Mr. Browne was recovering.
Callie stood there for a moment, reeling about the fact that such an adorable omega was paying such intimate attention to her. She then blinked and rushed after the blond to be able to enter the room at the same time. The alpha cleared her throat as she walked in. She opened up the chart and looked it over to see if there were any notes from the nurses or the intern that she would need to know. "How are you feeling, Mr. Browne?"
"Alright, I suppose," he shrugged a bit. "How did the surgery go, Doc? I know the other one said that everything went well but he didn't seem to know much."
She chuckled. "Give him a break, he's new and we didn't really leave him with a lot of information to give you. The surgery went really well. We were able to correct the breaks."
Izzie stepped up to give the alpha the chance to really look over the chart. "You might be in pain for a little while because of the pins that we had to put in the right leg, but you can just tell the nurses and they should get you something for it. The physical therapist should also be up to see you once Dr. Torres gives you the all clear."
"Oh, great," the patient grumbled as he shifted in the bed. "Another person that gets to see all my shame. This has to be the stupidest injury that you've seen all week. I mean, how often does someone break both of their legs at the same time?"
Callie looked up and smiled comfortingly at him. "I see multiple breaks from the same accident more often than you would think."
The omega nodded, and was unable to stop the smile from creeping up onto her face. "There are a lot of things that happen that are more common than you'd think."

Am I allowed to get angry/peeved/annoyed/etc at the whole "bi character is considered straight when they're in a different-sex relationship and gay when they're in a same-sex relationship" thing if I'm not bi?
You absolutely are, because it’s fucking annoying and you don’t have to be bi to realize that or care about it.
Bi characters are bi, regardless of their ‘endgame’ relationship status. And frankly, we need more bi characters who end up in different-gender relationships, because we need more bi characters in general, and I’m honestly sick of this attitude where bi characters are only considered bi and valid if they’re in same-gender relationships. (Usually along with a heavy dose of ‘you’re homophobic if you don’t ship their endgame same-gender relationship, because they’re basically gay now and shipping them with anyone else (especially someone of a different gender) is Bad.’ -stares at the korrasami fandom-)
Clarke Griffin would still be bi if she ended up with Bellamy. She’d still be queer rep. Callie Torres would still be bi if she’d ended up with a man. If Korra and Asami break up in the comics and one of them dates a man afterwards, they’d still be fucking bi. And on and on and on. It wouldn’t be faking out or baiting, if these bi characters who are explicitly bi in the narrative end up in different-gender relationships. Their sexuality is not dependent on their relationship status, and fandom really needs to stop acting like it is.
Give me more bi characters with rich lives and a variety of relationships. Give me more bi characters who are explicitly bi even though they only have one romantic relationship in the narrative but are still bi, because romance is a secondary consideration to their overall arcs. Give me more bi characters. Just in general. Give me all of them. Give.
And for the love of all that is holy, stop judging a bi character’s worth as queer rep by the status of their endgame relationship. If they are bi, they are queer rep, and every bit as valid and valuable as any other queer character, it’s as simple as that.

What’s our sorely-missed Calzona and company doing RIGHT NOW?
Headcannons from your favorite Calzona-obsessed and barely updated fangirl!
Callie is the chief of ortho at NewYork Presbyterian, with a huge research grant to take her artificial cartilage to clinical trials and to finish her and Derek’s work on robotic limbs for amputees. Amelia is consulting on her late brother’s work and flies out help (and see her friends) every few months. Callie is loving the baby time she gets with Scout during Amelia’s visits, and is not-so-subtly eyeing Arizona whenever a baby is in sight. Arizona begrudgingly agreed to be the face of NY Pres’ campaign for the robotic limb research, and Callie really loves pointing out to coworkers and patients alike that the hot blonde plastered across banners and walls and elevators is the woman she comes home to every night. The Chief of Surgery at NY Pres announced his upcoming retirement recently, and Callie just learned she’s been placed on the short list for his replacement.
Callie works just a short subway ride from the Robbins-Herman Center for Women's Health, where Arizona’s carts have reduced maternal mortality rates by a decent percentage. Herman is licensing off the rights to the carts across the country given how promising the results have been. Nicole and Arizona are teaching a promising “flock” of students. Nicole insists on referring to them as a flock, with Arizona being their mama bird, as she is Dr. Robbins. Arizona pretends not to be amused by Nicole’s less-than-stellar running joke, but she secretly loves being the rare, exotic mama bird, helping the new nestlings learn to soar in the field that she and Nicole are pioneering, saving lives in the process. Somehow, Nicole manages to, despite the blindness, always know exactly what’s going on, be it in a surgery or in Arizona’s love life.
And Arizona’s love life is, for the first time in a long time, super awesome. She and Callie are stronger than ever, going into their relationship with better boundaries, coping mechanisms, communication skills, and understandings of each other. What hasn’t changed is the easy chemistry, laughter, and palpable, mutual attraction Arizona and Callie always seemed to share. Originally, Arizona had rented the apartment across the hall from Callie’s, but once her year-long lease was up, she, Callie, and Sofia, now a proper family again, made themselves comfortable in the far-more-spacious penthouse, with surprisingly low rent. Well, it was surprising until they found out that Carlos Torres of Torres Enterprises had ventured into Manhattan real-estate. He wanted nothing but the best for his Calliope, but Arizona doesn’t believe in handouts, so they pay a fair but below market-price rent for the four bedroom apartment. Between visits from Amelia and Teddy with Scout and Allison, Callie’s pleading looks, and her surprising ability to sic Sofia on the baby train, Arizona got on board. Callie and Arizona are in the process of becoming registered foster parents, as well as putting applications in with a few adoption agencies.
When they realized that the fostering/adoption process would be much simpler if they were married, Callie popped the question (it was her turn, after all) during dinner at a three Michelin star restaurant. Callie had previously made a list of all the restaurants in New York she wanted to try, and although Arizona is a far less intrepid eater, she’s been holding her own on the adventure. Arizona said yes, not that it was even a question. After all, they’re Callie and Arizona, the great love story. They’re meant to be. Callie and Arizona had a quiet (legally-binding!) ceremony at their local courthouse with Sofia, but plan to have a destination wedding in Spain with the whole GSM gang once COVID travel restrictions lighten up. Sofia, a genius like both her moms and her dad, got to skip fourth grade and is loving fifth grade. She’s really excited for middle school, regularly claiming she’s all grown up now, but she’ll always be her moms’ baby girl no matter how many grades she skips or how old she gets. She has weekly FaceTime calls with Zola on her brand new phone. Arizona was staunchly against it, as The Colonel’s daughter, but seeing as Sofia took the subway on her own, Callie talked her into it.
Callie and Arizona keep up with all of their Grey-Sloan Memorial friends, past and present, but are definitely thankful to have gotten away from the drama that seemed to follow them around in Seattle. Meredith, aside from her comatose period during her battle with COVID, has done a remarkable job keeping them in the loop, with Maggie filling in when Meredith couldn’t. While Callie and Arizona couldn’t visit Meredith when she was sick, they hounded Bailey and Webber with endless phone calls for progress reports. Bailey was beyond happy to hear that the wedding she officiated ended up in a happy marriage, despite what she referred to as a little bump in the road. Richard is also happy he no longer has to be Arizona’s wingman, but the whole GSM gang still gets together for weekly trivia nights on Zoom every Wednesday, at Richard’s insistence. And whenever Callie gets into a disagreement with her soon-to-be former chief at NY Pres, one reminder that she is a close personal friend of Webber and Bailey seems to end with her getting her way. She promised she wouldn’t use that to her advantage, but she does. Her temper still gets the best of her, but not when it comes to Arizona or Sofia, which is all that really matters to Callie.
Arizona was overjoyed to hear about April’s move thousands of miles closer. She has booked train tickets to Boston for herself, Callie, and Sofia to help with the move. Sofia can distract Harriet, Arizona can be her type-A control freak self and make sure every box is put exactly where she thinks it should be, and she can stare at Callie’s ass while she carries boxes around, so, for Arizona, it’s a win-win-win-win scenario. Her apartment-warming gift to April is a very large Expedia gift card so that she feels obligated to visit Arizona often as she can get away from work. To say Arizona misses the woman she’d never have expected to become her best friend is an understatement.
Alex is still a little bitter he missed a number of years of the twins’ lives, but Arizona is helping him through that and he and Izzie are doing well. He’s, of course, the star at their dump truck Kansas hospital (not that Arizona would ever use that characterization to his face), having been Arizona’s protégé for all these years. He still calls Arizona when he needs to make a plan for a complicated case. Sometimes the cases he calls Arizona about aren’t all that complicated, but both Alex and Arizona know it’s Alex Karev’s way of checking in and catching up. He isn’t one to admit to calling people just to chat.
Cristina is hoping to make a trip out to see her god-daughter, who she still refers to as a chicken, when the pandemic restrictions relax. Until then, she and Callie talk every couple weeks, catching up on the latest groundbreaking, kick ass procedure Cristina has brilliantly invented. She says she’s married to her work, but there is a Swiss surgeon at the hospital who seems to be infatuated with Cristina, from what Callie can gather. And it appears to be mutual. Cristina is still not one to gush about boyfriends, but Callie can get bits and pieces in conversation. Every so often, Callie, Arizona, and Sofia get fancy Swiss chocolates in the mail, with a note to keep sending pictures of Aunt Cristina’s little chicken.
Addison has an open invitation to join the Robbins-Herman Center. Arizona even offered to amend the name, but Nicole was none too happy at the prospect of getting her name booted from second to third. But, again, the Robbins-Herman-Montgomery Center makes it sound like they are a man. Addison is still mulling it over, happy with her life, friends, and family in LA, but Callie and Arizona are still trying to wear her down. And Addison still regularly reminds them to thank her for Callie’s gay awakening, She was, after all, the first one to point it out.
Mark is beyond thrilled to see that all of his yelling has been working, not that he’s getting the credit. Now that Callie and Arizona woke up and aren’t missing the best part of life, Mark can enjoy watching Sofia grow up with Lexie by his side. Sofia is certainly growing into her Sloan looks, and will certainly be a heartbreaker once she gets a bit older.

do you have an hc's about a) sofia with her uncle tim and b) how arizona's pregnancy would have gone without the miscarriage? (i have so many ideas for the second one, tbh)
okay so i’m gonna leave the tim and sofia stuff for upcoming chaps of he ain’t heavy if that’s okay?
as for arizona’s pregnancy…
callie would totally get arizona back for the green smoothies and no coffee and arizona would be very pouty about it but all of the dumb stuff mark and arizona were bossy about callie would do
i also think that callie would be relatively hovery but it would get intensely worse around the time in arizona’s pregnancy that they got into the crash and arizona wouldn’t fully get what was happening until she finally snapped at callie to stop and callie explained that she was nervous bc of how sofia was born
teddy is the godmother and arizona skyped her and yelled at her for bailing on seattle and then asked her to be the godmother all in one speech without pause
arizona cried all the time like happy sad mad - alex got really freaked out the first time and then basically stopped caring (which callie yelled at him for the first time she saw him ignoring arizona crying)
the smell of donuts started making arizona sick, but she still liked the taste of them
sofia didn’t fully understand what was happening bc she was like two but she was very insistent on wanting a brother
arizona went through a phase of wanting peanut butter everything or soup dumplings or hot and sour soup - callie became good friends with the chinese food delivery guy
arizona’s water broke around 3 weeks before her due date in the middle of a consult and she was like weirdly calm about it which stressed everyone else out
callie meanwhile was in the middle of some sort of complex procedure where she’s the only one that can do it and maybe it’s like a pro football player or something so no one wants to disturb her including arizona
the robbinses and carlos are on the first flight out
alex somehow draws the short straw of sitting with arizona until her mom/callie get there but they just work through paperwork
so when callie bursts in all freaked out she’s very underwhelmed to find team peds working on their budget and “scram karev”
callie is wayyy more stressed than arizona, so much so that bailey (who somehow got roped in bc of course she did) is ready to throw her out like a father in the waiting room
arizona totally curses callie out the whole time in increasingly inventive ways that would make even her father blush
but all’s well that ends well and sofia gets a little sister (she’s not thrilled bc she wanted a brother) and callie is instantly smitten with her little arizona double and arizona would love a nap
i also think they’d go with a sort of more traditional, typical name with maybe barbara as a middle name and they’d use robbins-torres as a last name (which cristina and teddy both independently pointed out meant that no one in their family actually had the same last name)

Headcanon: The Halloween Season – MAGIC + Season 7 Main Cast
Tumblr media
Type: Headcanon
Requested: No
Summary: N/A
Warning(s): None that I'm aware of
Note(s): Happy Halloween everyone! I know some of us aren't able to celebrate because of the pandemic, but I just wanted to push this out to maybe brighten y'all's spirits, haha, puns. :)
———
Meredith Grey
Meredith doesn't do Halloween
Her mom never took her trick-or-treating when she was younger so she doesn't like celebrating it now
If she's around kids, then she'll try to get into the spirit, but sometimes it just exhausts her
For the sake of it, you guys try to treat it like a usual day
Alex Karev
Alex thought you weren't gonna celebrate the holiday, so he stayed at work
You were waiting for him to come home so you could freak him out with the Ouija board you had bought
He ended up staying at the hospital until 3 AM and arrived at home at 3:33
It scared you shitless and you thought a demon was out to get you because you had practiced with the Ouija board alone, trying to find the best way to scare Alex
You didn't sleep for the rest of the night and Alex basically cuddled you the whole night
George O'Malley
You had promised George that you would take it easy this Halloween
Before you were dating, you'd scare and tease him around the hospital every Halloween
This year you guys would just have a small movie marathon and eat candy and then go to bed sick
But then plans derailed when you guys found a small black kitten had come into your apartment through an open window
The whole night, the both of you debated on whether or not you would keep it
You guys named him Freddy
Izzie Stevens
Izzie goes hard for Halloween
The two of you decided to throw party at your shared place, thinking it would just be work buddies
Nope. Izzie worked too hard for just a couple people to show up
She practically invited the whole hospital
The both of you dressed up as sexy witches, Izzie's a bit more toned down so she could hand the kids candy
The party was supposed to end at 11:30, it ended at sunrise
Never again
Cristina Yang
Cristina loves Halloween ... because of all the surgeries
She loves getting people in scared half-to-death from corn mazes and haunted houses, always flares up the heart problems
Not a fan of costumes, but if you begged hard enough or gave her enough surgeries, she'd consider a low-key one
The kids asking her for candy really annoy her though
You have to steer them away from her when they ask "trick-or-treat" cause she almost always chooses trick, and when she chooses treat, it's a granola bar
If you do end up doing something, it's probably just going for drinks at Joe's
Derek Shepherd
Derek prefers to just work the holiday away
In the morning you guys get into the mood with some spooky music around the house
But at work it's just another day
He does like seeing you mess around with your costume though
Owen Hunt
Owen is not into costumes, like at all
He thinks they're a waste of time and money
Owen likes the idea of it, not so much participating (though he secretly wants to)
He likes the traumas that roll in though, that does get him excited
Mark Sloan
During the day, he couldn't stop imagining you in your costume
You were going as Catwoman, you had bought a black latex suit and black cat ears days prior and had shown him the costume on you as a tease
You both had been invited to a party, but he wanted to skip and just get right to the good part
Instead, you scrapped the costume and you decided to bake some cookies and cupcakes to hand out the next day
He was disappointed, but after he put an orange pumpkin sugar cookie in his mouth, he shut right up
Lexie Grey
Halloween is one of Lexie's favorite holidays
She always has her costumes planned for the next year and the year after and the year after that
Wearing costumes together is her favorite part
ESPECIALLY couple costumes
She asks for the day off so she can decorate the apartment you guys share
You guys just stay in and eat candy and tell each other "spooky" stories
But then show up at the hospital after shoving y'all's faces with candy and taking a power nap
Callie Torres
Callie treats Halloween as another day
She acknowledges it, but it's not a huge thing for her
The only way you could get her excited for the holiday is if you promised not to force her to get a costume
The day of, she surprised you with a homemade sexy pirate costume
Not a lot of work got done that day
Arizona Robbins
Arizona goes all out for her patients
Every Friday she dresses up in a new costume and plays a little game with the kids, having them guess who she was
She sneaks them extra pieces of candy from time to time, and when there's extras, she takes them home
Arizona handles the decorations while you go costume hunting
Your apartment is small, so you really only decorate the outside door with an orange/black wreath and hang tinsel around the windows
You start telling her scary stories in the middle of the night and she is so unimpressed
April Kepner
April is iffy about the holiday (her grandma would say that Halloween was the devil's holiday)
She loves giving candy and seeing little kids dress in costumes though
She dresses up in cutesy outfits, not really costumes
April will pull on a flannel and jeans, put her hair in pigtails, and call herself a cowgirl
You guys typically just go around the trauma bay and sit with the little kids waiting for/with their parents and hand out candies
Jackson Avery
Jackson takes the 'trick' in "trick-or-treat" very seriously
After a few harmless ones around the house, he gets risky and pranks you at the hospital
Each gets you more and more amped up, so you decide to get him back
Does not end well at all, Webber and Bailey aren't happy
The day ends with a slap of the wrist from the Chief and a movie night

Hi. You're still bisexual if in a relationship with someone of the same sex. It doesn't mean you're going to cheat. It doesn't mean you're going to leave for someone of the other sex. It doesn't mean you need to evenly space the time you are in relationships with people of different sexes so you must rotate or some shit. It literally just means you are capable of romantically loving people from either sex. So Callie was bisexual when she was in the relationship and eventual marriage with Arizona, the whole long time. She didn't want anyone else. She didn't cheat. All she wanted was Arizona and some kids with Arizona. Because bisexuality doesn't fucking equate to polyamory. It also doesn't describe a compulsion to fulfill the desire to be with both sexes. It just describes who your POSSIBLE love connections are. She's bisexual now that she's happy with Penny. She was bisexual while she was single and screwing Mark. She didn't realize it, but she was bisexual when married to George O'Malley. And she was bisexual with Erica Hahn (funny enough, the only person Calliope Torres EVER cheated on...and that's with a very wide meaning of cheating considering she and Erica were not an exclusive couple at the time). She's bisexual in a house, bisexual with a spouse, bisexual in the cockpit, bisexual with a chopstick, bisexual with a fork, bisexual in New York. It doesn't depend on who she is with.

My Thoughts on Grey’s Anatomy (S16 E19) and Station 19 (S3 E10)
I loved the psychologist. I thought I was going to be confused as the actor plays Hen’s wife on 9-1-1 but she did a great job. I know Andy is a rule-breaker, she drives me crazy, but I love her for it. The salsa dancing with Sullivan was cool.
Jack has been through so much and I’m sick of everyone blaming him. Rico’s wife didn’t want to be a widow? Well, maybe she should have been more faithful to his husband while he was alive. I want Jack to rebuild trust with his firehouse family. I’d love to see him find love and raise the heck out of some beautiful foster children.
Travis is incredibly brave and I’m so proud of him. I wonder if his love will push Dixon to be stronger and step up to earn his respect.
I didn’t see Dean/Vic coming, but now I can’t get it out of my mind. I’m open to the idea, so long as it happens down the line. They need to figure out their current dynamic. Hughes and Miller both need to heal before they can truly open their hearts.
Maya’s testimony was heartbreaking- her father traumatised her and at this stage she is hurting herself. I hope she manages to stop and smell the roses. I’m glad Carina is helping her with this.
It was nice to see some female solidarity between Teddy and Maggie as cardiac co-chiefs. Winston is incredibly handsome and they have instant chemistry (much more than with Jackson!) I think they might be setting up for eventually finishing the series. I’d be happy for Maggie to go back to Boston and leave the “nice quiet hospital” that is supposedly Grey-Sloan.
Hayes broke my heart. I loved meeting Abigail. They shared the same sense of humor. I’m glad she did not shy away from death, gave him her blessing. The scenes with Liam & Austin were very moving. I know the flashbacks are difficult to orchestrate, but part of me was desperate to learn about their backstories, their love story. They mentioned Hayes’ crazy sister-in-law. Maybe she will show up at the hospital seeking treatment at some stage, giving Meredith the seal of approval
I has no idea that Richard was hallucinating. But I suppose it was too much to expect Catherine to be apologetic and supportive. The worst moment was when he didn’t recognise poor Maggie. Is it his brain tumour? I hope the team can get to the bottom of it next week.
Teddy’s revelation actually makes a lot of sense; she feels she is undeserving of Owen’s love, because Allison still has a special place in her heart. In the season opener it was established that Amelia is also attracted to women. So, Hunt has a type. There’s a very apt quote along the lines of “I’m attracted to women because they’re gorgeous, I’m attracted to men because I make bad choices.”😂
I think she had came to terms with her bisexuality a long time ago. Part of me liked that it wasn’t a huge deal (whereas it was a major plotline for Callie.) Sidenote: Torres’ character helped me to embrace my own sexuality. 🌈
“The B is for badass.” Iconic. 💜💙💗Stereotypes are stupid. Bisexual people are not greedy, fickle cheaters. Allison was the love of her life, but if she chooses Tom it will cheapen that by saying it was just a pattern of poor behaviour. It’s upsetting to think that her sexuality will be used to justify her infidelity.

Last Chance Surprise
~in these uncertain times~
It's fourteen days into your no sex bet with Mark when you start to feel sick. You're nauseous and exhausted - you feel so drained you've almost fallen asleep at the nurses station multiple times over the last week. On call rooms have become your best friends as of late; and not for illicit purposes, though Mark wiggles his eyebrows playfully any time he sees you heading for one.
A whiff of Karev's cologne one morning has you turning green, hurtling for the nearest restroom, Callie following you in worriedly. "Addison...you okay?" Callie asks and you feel her pulling back your hair and you can't help but think she's a good friend.
Ten minutes later and you're washing your hands, gazing tiredly at your reflection in the mirror as Callie leans against the sinks. "Can't believe you still look good after throwing up like that," Callie teases, casting her gaze over you.
You can't help but chuckle, shaking your head. "At least I feel a little better now," you tell her when you catch her worried gaze, answering her before she can even ask.
An eyebrow raised. "Really? No more sick feeling? Cause I was gonna suggest you should go home or something…" Callie tells you and you sigh, turning to face her properly; hip resting against the counter.
"Honestly, I feel fine Callie. Still tired but it's just one of those weeks, I think," you tell her with a small smile and a shrug. "But hey, at least it's kept my mind off the no sex," you joke, throwing her a playful look.
However, the mention of the no sex bet, triggers something in your mind. You frown as you contemplate everything you've been feeling in the last few weeks and then you're counting back the days and you realise you're late. 22 days late, in fact and you gasp in alarm.
"Addie?"
It's then you remember that Callie is standing in front of you. You look up at her, eyes wide and mouth dropped open in shock.
"Callie, I think...I mean, I need you to take my blood. Right now," you insist, almost desperately.
You watch her brows furrow. "What? Addison...what's going on?" She asks and you grab her hand, dragging her towards the restroom door.
You take a moment, wondering whether to spill your suspicion to the ortho surgeon. But Callie has been a good friend to you so far and you feel like you can trust her. Hell, she already knew about the first baby and the abortion you had.
"I think I might be...pregnant," you whisper to her urgently, glad that the bathroom is empty. You'd be mortified if that little tidbit of gossip somehow made its way out. The nurses have no scruples when it comes to gossip.
"What?!" Callie exclaims, her eyes wide, her expression shocked but somehow delighted. "Sloan?" She questions after a moment, name drawled carefully.
Your face crumples, a pout on your lips as you nod. You glare as she whistles even though you can see she's just trying to lift your mood. "What are you going to do if you are?" She asks as you both make your way as discreetly but quickly as you can towards a deserted exam room.
"I don't know," you tell her, despite the fact you've been thinking about a baby a lot lately. One thing you know almost for certain though, is that you want the baby. If there is one; you won't be getting another abortion.
You step into an exam room, Callie following closely behind and you're glad to see how private it is. You're in a daze as Callie takes your blood and you're grateful when she keeps your name off of them. You're still sitting on the exam table when Callie gets back from dropping the blood test off, wringing your hands as you try to think of what you're going to do.
"You know, we could always just go up to Obs and commandeer an ultrasound machine," Callie jokes, arms crossed as she leans against the door.
You can't help but laugh at the idea, shaking your head. "I'm not sure that'd be a good look," you say, though the amusement is clear in your tone.
"You're the Head of Obstetrics!" She exclaims. "You should be able to commandeer anything you want up there," Callie tells you with a grin.
You laugh because she's right. But you'd rather not risk anyone finding out just yet. You're about to say as much when your pager goes off and you're suddenly reminded you're meant to be working; the both of you.
"I have to go deliver a baby," you say, pushing up off the exam table as Callie straightens up too. "Page me when you get the results back. Please?"
Callie nods and then you're both exiting the room and going your separate ways.
.
. It's close to 6pm when you trudge into the Attendings lounge, intending to grab your stuff quickly and get back to the Archfield. You pause for a moment as you pull out your handbag; if you're really pregnant you're going to have to find a house or an apartment. A hotel is no place to raise a baby.
Of course you try to shake the thought off, you don't even know if you're actually pregnant yet. But the more you thought about it as the day wore on, the more convinced you've become. All the signs are there and you rack your brain to try and figure out a conception date. It is, embarrassingly, harder than you thought it'd be to pinpoint - you and Mark had been sleeping together rather frequently before the sex bet.
By your current symptoms though, you'd estimate you're at least 5 weeks pregnant. And as you make your way out of the attendings lounge, you're glad to see Callie waiting for you; test results in hand. At least if you can see your hCG levels, you know you can figure out just how pregnant you actually are.
It doesn't even surprise you when Callie nods, handing the results over. She knows you well. You need to see them for yourself so you can finally realise your suspicions were right. "Thank you," you murmur to your brunette friend as she falls in step beside you.
"So?" She asks as your eyes take in the results and readings in front of you.
Your hCG levels are higher than you expected them to be and you realise you must be six weeks along. Almost seven weeks in fact.
With that information in hand, one night stands out in your mind. The night after the woman with the toxic blood incident. You remember how worried Mark had been about you and you remember how surprisingly intimate your evening with him had been. The fact you'd been deliciously sore for days after had annoyingly boosted Mark's ego to a ridiculous degree.
It seems fitting, you think, that that's the night he got you pregnant. Again.
Silently, you curse yourself for not using protection. But you had both wanted to feel each other - all of each other and it wasn't like it had never happened before. In fact, thinking back, you realise Mark is the only man you'd ever been so reckless with. Even with Derek you had been careful. Mark just always seems to make you lose all sense.
"Addison?" You hear Callie's voice and you pull your eyes away from the results. You'd completely forgotten she was even there for a moment.
"Sorry," you murmur, tucking the test results into your handbag as you gaze over at your friend. "I guess I'm just trying to process…" you tell her and frankly it's the truth.
Mark has managed to get you pregnant twice in a year. It's ridiculous really. Fourteen years with Derek and not even a scare; two hot albeit one misguided, nights with Mark and you're sufficiently knocked up. He's got to have some kind of super sperm.
You can't help but wonder how many potential illegitimate children Mark Sloan has running around out there. You can't believe you're going to add to the number. It's uncharitable to think, you know it is, Mark is your friend but you can't deny that there's a good chance Mark really does have a child out there he doesn't know about.
Which leads you to realise that you can't keep this child from Mark. From his point of view you've already taken one of his children from him; even if it'd been the right choice at the time. You sigh as you and Callie stop at your car, your mind focused on Mark and the embryo inside you. You need to tell him but you truly don't know how; especially with the current bet between you both.
"Yeah. It's probably a lot to take in. But...it's a good thing isn't it?" Callie asks.
The question freezes you. Is it a good thing? You're not quite sure yet. Your life is nowhere near what you'd thought it would be but you do want a child - even if you hadn't thought it'd happen quite like this. You're not terrified like you were last year and it's still not an ideal situation; but you think it will be a good thing.
"I think so. I suppose I just need to get used to the idea," you tell her with a smile and a slight chuckle. "I-Callie...please don't tell anyone, okay? Especially not George. I don't need the interns knowing because then it'll only be a matter of time before Grey tells Derek and I can't handle that right now. Plus, I need to tell Mark first…"
You let out a sigh of relief as Callie nods and you can see she gets it. "Of course! Addison, my lips are sealed," she assures you and you smile.
"Thank you Callie," you breathe with relief. You truly don't know how you'd get through your days without Callie, she's become one of your closest friends here in Seattle. One of your only friends really; you can't count Mark as a friend anymore, not when he makes you lose all sense and you're pregnant with his child.
"No problem. Go home, rest or whatever. I'll see you tomorrow," Callie tells you with a smile and makes her way towards her own car.
You watch as she leaves before getting into your car and heading for the Archfield. You've got a lot of thinking to do.
It had been over two weeks since you'd found out you were pregnant and Callie is still the only other person to know. You know you should tell Mark but you've still got the whole no sex bet going on; which you realise, is complicating things a bit. You'd told Mark that if he could go 60 days without sex, you'd give him a chance and though you'd never admit it, you want him to pass. Your own part in the no sex bet barely crosses your mind.
The problem is the fear you have at telling him about your pregnancy. He'd be wary but excited and you know that'd push him to take the sex bet even more seriously then he is already. You don't want him to want you just because of the pregnancy. You want to know he wants you for, well, you. It's ridiculous and Callie has told you as much but you can't help it - you've already been hurt too much in the past few years.
You're bringing a child into the world and if you and Mark are to have a relationship; you don't want it to be based purely on the child. You won't subject your child to the kind of upbringing you'd had with Bizzy and the Captain. And though you don't want to admit it, you know Mark would understand that - his own upbringing as empty as yours.
So no, you're not prepared to tell Mark about the baby. Not yet anyway. Callie thinks you're being dumb and you don't know how but she's managed to wrangle a promise out of you; whether Mark lasts the sixty days or not, you have to tell him. You were a little offended when she brought it up but you had to admit, at least to yourself that the younger woman knows you. Apparently well.
You've been feeling like shit for the last few weeks that you've almost forgotten your part in the bet. If Mark wasn't having sex, neither are you. Frankly, the way you've been hugging the toilet morning, noon and night, sex has been the last thing on your mind. You're sure that the surgical wing thinks you've got one persistent flu - you hope so anyway. Callie can only cover for you for so long.
Mark however, has gotten more persistent and considerate in the last week. He's stopped the dirty jokes and suggestions and instead been watching you with worry clear in his eyes. He's started bringing you tea in the mornings and chicken soup to your hotel room at night. If you didn't know better you'd think he knew you're pregnant. Because of course, if he knew that he'd have asked you - there's not a part of him that'd keep silent about that.
You're on your lunch break, a measly hospital salad in front of you because it's light enough not to set off your stomach, when Mark slides into the seat beside you. You're focused on the lettuce, trying to ignore the intense look Mark is giving you. From the corner of your eye you can see he is relaxed back in his seat, dark scrubs setting off his eyes and an amused smirk on his lips. It takes everything in you not to stare, his ego is already big enough.
"You still got that flu?" He drawls and the way he says it, you worry he knows the truth. But you shake it off - there's no way he could possibly know.
You simply roll your eyes in reply, finally lifting the lettuce to your lips. Your lack of a verbal answer doesn't seem to deter him, it never has in fact.
"Cause, I know I'm irresistible. But I didn't think you'd go and get yourself sick just to stop yourself from jumpin' me," he teases and you can't help but laugh at his words.
You realise too late that that was his intention all along. But despite your realisation, you can't help the warmth that spreads through you at the thought of him trying to cheer you up. It's sweet and it doesn't surprise you because Mark's always been that way with you. It's part of the reason your feelings grew from friendship to something a little more for him.
"Oh yes, I just want you that badly," you tease right back, actually enjoying the light banter.
You're both grinning at each other, Mark clearly ready to reply with some kind of innuendo when you realise you've been overheard. Derek is standing not far from you both and by the look on his face, you know he's heard your words. You freeze for a moment before realising that you no longer have to care what Derek thinks; though a part of you still does. You're going to have Mark's child, even if no one else knows that yet, so you figure there's no point worrying about what Derek thinks any longer. You two aren't married and he's been perfectly clear about how he feels for you now.
"Something we can help you with Dr. Shepard?" You ask, the petty part of you enjoying the strained look that flickers over Derek's face at your use of we. Mark, you can tell, is amused.
"I need Dr. Sloan for a consult," Derek replies tightly, gaze flicking between you and Mark before settling on the other man.
"Ah," Mark sighs as he pushes himself up from his seat. "Well, duty calls. I'll see you later Addie," Mark tells you, winking at you playfully.
You can't help but smile at the gesture. You wonder if it means he'll turn up at your door with dinner because despite your vomiting jaunts, you've enjoyed him bringing or sending you meals. Maybe you'll even let him convince you to eat together tonight.
Watching him leave with Derek you can't believe how easily he can turn your mood around. You're still worried over everything, of course. Whether to tell him now or after the bet is over is constantly weighing on your mind. It's not that you're planning to keep it from him forever but you just don't know when the right time is. Nausea swirls in your stomach and you give up on the lousy salad; you move to stand up, the nausea strong and feel a wave of dizziness wash over you.
Black spots dance before your eyes and as you move to pick up your tray, your body feels heavy. You take a few deep breaths before darkness crashes in on you.
.
.
Your eyelids feel heavy and you feel sick. It's not a good combination and you want to throw up but you want to at least wait until you can open your eyes. You groan, feeling downright icky and no it's not a medical diagnosis but it's the accurate way to describe how you feel.
Slowly, you open your eyes as you hear people talking around you. You grimace as the bright lights of a hospital room greet you and you wonder how you got from the courtyard to here. Miranda Bailey and two of her damn interns are there, so is Richard and to your surprise, so are Derek and Mark. All look worried but it's Mark you direct a soft smile towards.
"Welcome back sleeping beauty," Mark says, the first to speak and you can see Derek's eyes roll. Miranda and Richard don't look particularly impressed either.
"What happened?" You ask, choosing to ignore him for the moment, gaze flitting to Miranda's. This is clearly not a surgical case but she's checking you over anyway.
"You fainted Montgomery. In the courtyard," Miranda tells you and you can already feel the heat rushing to your cheeks. Fainting in public is bad enough, it's even worse in your book considering you're an Attending. You can only imagine what people are saying about it.
"Oh," is all you murmur, your embarrassment clear. "I'm feeling fine now though," you announce, pushing yourself up into a better position. "I can get back to work," you insist but already you know that won't work.
"Not going to happen Addison," and this time it's Richard answering. You turn your eyes to the man and though you see him as a sort of father figure, you know you won't be able to talk your way out of this. "You've been sick for over a week and now you've fainted. You need to lay there and rest. I have half a mind to send you home until you're not throwing up or passing out on us," Richard continues, arms crossed as he gazes at you worriedly.
You sigh, nodding in acceptance. You know there's no use in arguing with him. "Fine."
Two sets of eyebrows raise in surprise and you know it's because they've never heard you accept being sidelined so easily. You glance at Mark and Derek out of the corner of your eye and can't help the little grin on your lips as you realise how worried both look. It amuses you, if only because you know they are probably both confused by your behavior.
It's Miranda's voice now that cuts through your amusement. "Alright. She's awake now. I'm sure she's enjoying the gawking but let her rest. Don't you have patients to see?" Miranda says sharply, her shrewd gaze on Mark and Derek. Mark looks amused and Derek looks alarmed as they nod and head for the door.
"I'll spring ya outta here soon Red, don't worry," Mark throws over his shoulder as he exits and you can't help but giggle a little. A giggle that dies down at the knowing gaze of Miranda. She's ushered her interns out the door too and Richard's not far behind.
"Rest, Addison. I can't have one of my star surgeons ill," he tells you but you know he too is worried.
You expect Miranda to leave too but instead she shuts the door behind the Chief and turns to look at you. You try not to squirm under her scrutiny but you can't help it.
"You gonna tell me what's wrong Montgomery? Or should I wait for the blood results?" Miranda starts and you sigh a little. It's clear she knows something and you trust her, especially after she helped you with your poison oak situation.
"I'm pregnant," you say eventually, letting a hand stray low on your stomach and a small smile settle on your lips.
You watch Miranda and you're not surprised when she doesn't seem all that surprised. "Didn't think it was a three week flu you had," she scoffs, shaking her head a little. Her gaze settles back on you then and you're surprised by the spark of curiosity you can see in her eyes. "Do you know how far along you are?" She asks and you grin.
"Nine weeks and a day," you tell her softly. You're happy about this and you hope if you can convey that, Miranda will be happy for you too.
"Nine weeks… Do you...uh," and she stutters here, waving a hand around in front of her. It's clear to you what she's trying to ask and you feel your cheeks flush once again.
"It's Mark's," you tell her softly.
Miranda scoffs then, shaking her head. "Couldn't keep ya knees closed around him, hm?" She teases, harkening back to an early conversation you'd had with Miranda when Mark had first started working at Seattle Grace. That seemed so long ago in comparison.
"I told you I lose sense around him!" You spout, huffing a little though there's no weight to it. You can't convince yourself any longer that you're as opposed to Mark as you'd like people, him included, to believe.
Miranda simply gazes at you, lips pursed in the way she's wont to do. You simply look at each other for a moment before she shakes her head. And you know that will be the end of that conversation. You're grateful that Miranda is choosing not to question your decisions too much regarding Mark.
"You're probably dehydrated and got low blood sugar. I've seen the way you've been vomiting all week. You need to start eating better or more at least," Miranda advises though you both know you know all this already. In fact, you're usually the one giving this advice; it's odd to be on the other side receiving it. "I'm going to get you hooked up with an IV and get some more fluid in you. You've gotta do better Montgomery," Miranda admonishes and you can't help but grimace sheepishly.
"I know, I know," you murmur. "I've been trying but I can't keep anything down. What'd you do about morning sickness?" You ask her, slumping back a little in the hospital bed and hoping she'll have some good advice.
"My morning sickness wasn't too bad. But you can never go wrong with saltines and ginger ale," she tells you and you chuckle. It's the same thing you've said to your patients thousands of times.
"I'll try it," you say, giving her a smile. She seems to be done now and is heading for the door. "Oh, Miranda. Could you not mention...my situation to anyone? I haven't told Mark yet and I don't want him to hear it from anyone else," you call out to her softly.
You can see her considering you and your words before nodding. "Not a word from me. Don't worry. But tell him soon, I'm sure there's already bets going around about what's wrong with you," she informs you and you can't help but shake your head. Mostly because you know she's probably right.
.
.
One minute you were glaring at the nurse hooking up your IV and the next you're waking up to Mark Sloan lounging around in the seat next to your bed. You weren't officially admitted but you'd cleared your patients for the day considering Miranda and Richard didn't think you could even stand on your own. You hate being confined to a bed but you can't deny how well rested you feel now that you've woken up.
"Mark?" You call out to him as you watch him so focused on his phone. You have a sneaking suspicion he's got a game of Snake going on. You smirk as he startles, he'd clearly been engrossed.
"Red!" He grins at you, seeming happy to see you awake. His wide smile and caring eyes send warmth shooting through you. "You're awake. Was worried you were gonna sleep through the night and I was gonna have to sleep in this chair," he continues, complaining playfully as he sits up straight and stretches a little.
You shake your head. "You wouldn't have to stay with me," you tell him, stretching a little yourself.
Mark simply smiles and shakes his head. "I know that. But I want to Addie. I've been worried about you. You've been very sick lately…" he trails off then and you can see clearly just how worried he's actually been. It surprises you but you know it shouldn't. Mark cares about you, he always has.
You sigh, frowning a little as you realise you need to tell him. As touching as it is that he's so worried for you; you don't want him to worry anymore. Knowing Mark he's probably deduced your recent bout of illness to some kind of incurable cancer. You'd rather not have him thinking you're dying.
"I have been very sick lately," you agree with a nod, wrapping your hands around each other nervously. "But I'm not sick per se…" you continue, hesitating for a moment. Your eyes meet his and you can see the worry and confusion mix. "I'm pregnant Mark. Nine weeks."
You exhale. You've finally told him and the weight you've been carrying around has finally lifted. But the anxiety rears its head as you watch Mark, trying to figure out what he's thinking.
His eyes flit between your face and your stomach and you see he's processing. "Nine weeks," he murmurs, brows furrowing a little. "When you went in to put that girl with the toxic blood under again?"
"Yeah," you say with a nod, eyes still focused on the man. And you can see he's thinking about that intimate night you'd spent together. You'd both been exhausted the next day and the fact you couldn't walk properly the next day had made him unbearably smug.
"So it's...mine?" He asks almost cautiously and you can't really blame him. The last time you'd been pregnant with his child you'd terminated it after all.
"Yes," you reply firmly. You seek out his gaze and can see the unasked question in them. "I'm keeping the baby. I want this child Mark."
You hadn't expected the sigh of relief but you had expected the grin. "Really?"
"Really," you echo back to him and you've barely got the word out before his lips are on yours.
You grin into the kiss despite yourself, hands coming up to cup his cheeks as you kiss him back. It's a quick kiss though and he pulls back quickly, sitting on the edge of his seat. One of his hands has found yours and he's squeezing enthusiastically.
"We're going to have a baby Red. I want to be involved. Anything you need… I want to be a Dad, Addison. I know you think I'd be a terrible father but please, give me the chance to show you differently-"
"Mark," you interrupt because you can see where he's going with this. "I-I'm sorry for saying that. Our situation back then was very different to our situation now though. I want this baby to have both their parents but that being said...there's still a lot we need to figure out," you tell him, giving his hand a gentle squeeze.
He sighs but nods. "You're right, of course. But I just...I want you to know I'm in Addison. You know I love you and I want this to work out. I want to be a family with you."
You can't help but smile at his words. This was the kind of love you'd thought you wanted with Derek. You never expected this from Mark and somehow, that makes it feel better for you. Mark wants you, Mark's been choosing you for so long now and you think it's about time you let yourself choose him too.
"I know you do. I want that too Mark," you tell him softly, your smile wide as you gaze into each other's eyes.
"You do?" He questions and you can't fault him for asking, for making sure.
You nod, reaching out your hand to take one of his, entwining your hands together. "Yes. You're changing Mark and I suppose I haven't ever really given you enough credit for that. The Mark from New York wouldn't have agreed to a no sex bet…" you shrug then, lips pressing together as you try to think of what to say next. "We're going to have a child together. I have to see you for the man you are now. And that's...well, that's my issue. Not yours," you admit sheepishly.
Mark is simply watching you with a grin on his face. It's slightly unnerving. "Thank you," he murmurs after a moment and you don't even know what for. It must be clear on your face because he continues. "For giving me a chance. To be with you and to be in the baby's life. And just so you know...I think we should both stick to the bet. As much as I enjoy sex, especially with you Red, we need a foundation that isn't built on it. Especially with a baby coming," Mark tells you and you're surprised by the maturity and can't agree more with his assessment.
Thus begins the start of your dating life with Mark.
