Thank you @gpbmadeit for using your voice to wake folk up!! I don't see any reason to watch #theoscars this year. Awards DO NOT make the artist!! Yet and still it's interesting how #theoscars repeatedly deny Black actresses but still award Black men. (Usually in stereotypical roles) This pattern has not changed even with a more diversified Academy after a Black woman president. And with #kindred canceled its not just film. Yes there has been progress, but the leadership remains unchanged. I was told in 1996 (the same year there was ONE Black nominee @iamdiannehouston for a short film and and a subsequent Oscars boycott) that Hollywood was in #corporateamerica Same sh** nearly 30 years later. I truly understand this truth more now than ever!! #thewomanking and #till were PHENOMENAL films with PHENOMENAL casts and CREW!! But to be in a union and be a voter and make an excuse to not press play???!!! This shutout and many other recent cancellations are blatant #institutionalizedracism #racism filled with continuing #doublestandards in #Hollywood A FEW RECEIPTS: The same institution that gave a rapist (Roman Polanski - She was 13) and actor sued TWICE for sexual harassment (Casey Affleck) the golden statue. For whomever wants to listen;

This is my first attempt at blogging. I've always been interested in the idea of starting to blog as I love to write, but I couldn't seem to come up with anything I believed was going to be intriguing enough for people to want to not only read, but continue to read my postings.

You have the moms who blog about "mom life" which to be honest DID cross my mind, but being a mom myself, I know there's only so many parenting stories to tell before it becomes repetitive. So #momlifeblog was quicky crossed off my very short list of possible blogging topics.

Again, giving nothing but my absolute honesty 100%, I really had no fucking clue what I could possibly blog about before I-MYSELF got bored and just gave up on the whole "blogging dream" that has been floating through my thoughts every now and again over the last 2 years or so.

Finally about a month or 2 ago, I came up with what I was pretty convinced would be not only a damn good blog, but a really entertaining one at that. I then started to worry what if no one reads my posts? What if I get no followers? What if? What if? So I let it go and decided not to go ahead with starting the blog until again last night, blogging popped back into my head. The "what ifs?" I had myself so perturbed about a couple months prior are forever going to remain "what if's?" if I don't at least give it a try and see what happens, and if after a couple weeks I'm getting no views, likes, or follows, if noone is showing any interest at all, then at least I wouldn't have to live with the dreadful unanswered "what if's?" That forever linger in the back of your head and literally drive you mad. I have been in fucked up relationship after fucked up relationship and this has to be the most fucked up of them all. Story of my life, and I sit around and let it happen. Something's gotta give.
