okay but what about when alison dies in the house and all the ghosts are so excited to introduce her to being dead, they're buzzing with anticipation to get to properly hug her and thank her for all she's done and put up with from them but then. she passes on. she doesn't stay. because her life was fulfilled she built a family she had a husband she loved she did everything she wanted to do. and mike is sad of course but he's comforted by the idea that she still gets to kick around with her friends and even though he can't see them he still talks to her and them and they don't even have the heart to try to communicate to him that she's not there. and then when mike dies he's so happy to be able to see her again, and finally meet all these friends she's had for so long but then. he wakes up. and they're there and they're real but.. alison's not there. and then the ghosts all ingratiate mike into the whole being dead situation and and he's so heartbroken that she hasn't been here hasn't gotten to be with them and they all comfort each other with her memory and reminisce about all the times they were with mike and he never knew it. and then they decide to try to communicate, in a friendly, helpful way, with the next people who move in. what about then huh? I'll cry, that's what.

Im rereading Tenko Shimura origin and I love how horikoshi clearly painted Tomura to be an unreliable narrator.

At first he’s describing what he mostly likely WAS thinking in that moment. He was an innocent child watching his family crumble in front of him not knowing who to blame.

But he suddenly switches mindsets in the middle of his narration. He uses words like “maybe” or “I must have” as if he doesn’t know what he was actually thinking. This really shows how much AFO manipulated Tomuras mindset on all this, he’s literally saying stuff like “I know I wanted to kill them” as he’s shown crying and begging his parents to help him.

The only moment his narrations SOMEWHAT align with the scene playing out in front of us is when he’s killing his father, but looking at what actually triggered this I still dont think he truly wanted to kill him.

Before he kills his father, he reaches out to him for help. The way he’s reaching his arm out doesn’t seem aggressive in any way, however Kotaros fight reaction kicks in and he instead hits Tenko. Tenko sees this as his father (yet again) rejecting him. Even when Tenko begging for his father to save him, he will always be rejected, and this triggered Tenko to fight back.

In conclusion, Tomura did not purposely kill his family out of pure hatred. AFO took advantage of the multiple times Tenko was rejected (his neglectful family + nobody helping him after the incident) and warped his view on all of it. Tenko now believes he killed his family BECAUSE they rejected him rather than it being a complete accident. He in turn applies this logic to the rest of society, and now believes he needs to destroy them just like he did his family. This is all AFO’s doing, he made sure Tenko never let go of those feeling of hatred and guilt and turned him into an unstable pathetic man. I could go on and on abt the manipulation but that’s for another post.

Tomura needs someone who is kind and empathetic with zero malicious intent (cough cough midoriya) to save him and I am dying on this hill.

There are just. So many ideas for baylan having a padawan he lost during order 66.

Was their relationship similar to anakin and ahsoka’s? Did baylan even WANT a padawan? Did he slowly grow fond of said padawan and they eventually became close?

Did baylan WANT a padawan? Did he plead to his own master and the council that he was ready for one? Was he just a young, naive knight desperate to train the next generation of jedi?

And of course, how did he lose this padawan? Were they together during order 66? Was baylan, still a young knight, overpowered and unable to save them? Were they separated over a distance and he had to watch it unfold—feeling it through the force? Did he shout? Did he kill everything in his path to make it to them?

Was baylan on some sort of mission without his padawan—worried sick for the fate of a kid he grew so close to when he finally found out what happened? Did he also feel it through the force then? Did he fall to his knees?

And, if they were close by, did he make it to their body? Was his padawan gone or only barely there—like qui gon? (How) Did he grieve? The padawan wouldn’t have gotten a funeral—so did baylan bury them? Or get them off the battlefield?

So, then, when it came to Shin, did he jump at the opportunity? Did HE want to train her? Did SHE want to be trained and baylan couldn’t deny the opportunity? Or was he reluctant bc he didn’t want her to have the same fate as his first?
