I just recently got on meds for add but I’m not actually properly diagnosed yet) (also I’m autistic so disorders plural I think) I literallt have no other excuse for not interacting with ur art sooner other than. executive dysfunction sucks and also becauz I wasn’t sure if u were the type of real and TRUE!! purecacao shipper 2 still think lily is shippable or were one of the kinds of people to demonize lily insanely a lot. this means so much to me holy shit i’m so happy you like my art. and i’m very happy ur a lily enjoyer too!!! i totally agree with you, people demonize her way too much (probably because she “gets in the way” of ppls “gay ships” WHICH I HATE THAT EXCUSE). i still ship purelily, i like to imagine it as a relationship they had in the past. i’m not gonna ignore what they have in canon cuz it’s obvious they loved each other!!! (i’m not gonna freak out when i see other ships with the characters i like LOL). i still love lily and i want her to be happy, she has an incredible amount of depth to her character. she’s not heartless, but she’s not a shy damsel in distress like how other people depict her as well. she’s flawed and incredibly multidimensional, and i hope i have the opportunity to show that more often :D that makes me happy to hear you’re still open to other artists that ship different (normal) things, i hope you enjoy what i draw in the future as well!! i love the ancients a lot and i love other ancients-fans as well!!!

also, yes, Kaiden-Shenandoah is my first name. the hyphen is optional, but you still have to type/say the whole thing. no, you may not call me "Kaiden". yes, i am aware it is a mouthful lol

sister location ( somewhere between '83 and '87)

ok so all this shit started with a diner which was opened by william afton and henry emily in 1967. it was called *ahem* fredbear family diner!!!! and featured the brown bear mascot!! neither henry nor william had money at the time to hire someone, (also they were both busy studying; henry studying comminucation and business admin while william studied engineering) so the mascot suit was normally worn by henry during working hours

3 or 4 years go by and fredbear family diner starts to pick up more business! to help it grow, william designed bonnie, the yellow rabbit mascot to go along with freddy! how cute! after they got a bit more successful snd earned some more money, william designed the first 2 springlock suits, bonnie and freddy <3 so now the lineup we have are the freddy animatronic, the freddy and bonnie springlock suits that double as a suit an animatronic, and a marionette puppet that kept an eye on the children and rewarded them when they won arcade games

also! outside of work, good ol willy met a lady!! who is unnamed. n e ways! they got married and had 3 kids! the oldest son (michael❤️), daughter (elizabeth) and another son (not officially named, but widely recognized as evan/crying child)

OK NOW ONTO EVENTS THAT HAPPENED IN THE ACTUAL GAMES. LOL. HAHA. HAHAHA.

ok! um. ok. so. cut to evans birthday one year. 1983 to be exact. he has his party in fredbears family diner! great right? WRONG. evan was terrified of the animatronics. and his older brother michael and his friends decide its a good idea to SCARE EVAN by SHOVING HIS HEAD INSIDE OF ANIMATRONIC FREDBEARS MOUTH. take a guess how that turned out :)

basically evan gets his head CHOMPED! but he doesnt die there! in fnaf 4, u play as evan, recovering in the hospital after the bite trying to survive the nightmarish versions of the animatronics he was so afraid of. but he dies on the last night. lol rip evan

william afton, distraught over his sons death vows to "put him back together" as seen in this screencap from the ending of fnaf 4! (william is,, talking to evan through a fredbear plush that has cameras in it,,,,, but we'll get into that later lol or not)

anyways,,, mr afton decides to take the phrase "put you back together" very seriously and uh. starts doing research on an element called remnant which is basically. large amounts of human agony condensed into a metal??? that can. help souls to possess inanimate objects. this is only mentioned in the books and i think its kinda wacky tbh. some people speculate that he did this research to gain his own immortality which is totally valid but i like to see it like this bc it helps fit the story together anyways we'll get back to that. maybe

moving on

after evans death, business wasnt exactly booming,,,. so! henry and william decide to sell all rights to the diner/animatronics to a bigger company that turns it into...... *drumroll* ......... freddy fazbears pizza!!!!!! (and the overarching fazbear entertainment). freddy fazbears pizza finally opened later in 1983 with a lineup of the man himself, freddy fazbear, bonnie, chica the chicken and foxy the pirate

also another springlock failure happens that isnt really touched upon, but after said failure, the springlock suits are deemed "too dangerous" to be used in performances! and they r stored in the back storage room!

one day, during a birthday party at the new and improved freddy fazbears pizza, a child was MURDERED! outside of the building, unable to get in and ask for help. the child then went on to possess the puppet, as it followed her outside and was there as she died, unable to help her. guess who murdered her lol! YEP! MR WILLY AFTON! he was tried in court but never found guilty due to...... lack! of! evidence!

um alsoo like,,, william kills more kids lol. he got into the storage on the old springlock bonnie costume and and lures 5 children to the back rooms and murders them!!!!!! and then in an attempt to save the children, the puppet stuffed each corpse inside rhe 4 core animatronics + golden freddy. this caused the childrens spirits to inhabit each suit lol (golden freddy now having 2 spirits possessing it; evan and the new child called cassidy) anyways since the bodies were hidden in the suits, detectives never found them and william afton was never caught. freddy fazbears pizza closed down after many complaints about the foul odor and mucus oozing out from the animatronics and after outsiders found out about the missing childrens incident

anyways! mr william afton is up to bigger and better things! in order to like capture more kids in a cool way he creates circus babys pizza world!! a smaller pizza place under the control of afton robotics featuring improved animatronics like circus baby! funtime foxy and freddy, bonbon and ballora! mr creep afton created each animatronic to capture children! each one has specific,,, abilities and design choices. for example, all of them are much taller than they should be, circus baby being 7.5 feet and the rest being over 6ft. funtime foxy has abilities like

parental voice sync and replay??? mhm. and same with funtime freddy

voice mimic/luring? storage tank?

yea,, thats a child. in the storage tank

however uhh circus babys pizza world closes on the first day bc. um. circus baby. eats. elizabeth (williams daughter). yeah..... william tells her to stay away from baby bc shes dangerous but she didnt listen!!! so she got herself snatched up and her soul went on to possess circus baby. lol. heres a clip! the actual death is at 2:35

second afton down! and both killed by williams own inventions! how poetic. anyways after circus babys pizza world closes, willy boy opens an underground facility titled 'circus babys rentals and entertainment' for the purpose of rentibg out his child kidnapping animatronics to different parties and events <3 cute!

anyways!! time for the events of the third game in the timeline and 5th game overall, sister location! michael, our beloved eldest afton son travels to circus babys rental and entertainment at the request of his father to "put [elibabeth and unnamed wife] back together" which he does! but he gets his skeleton innards scooped out in the process. lol.

yea so turns out, baby, ballora, funtime freddy and funtime foxy dont wanna be trapped in the rental facility, being forced to kidnap and murder children anymore! valid! so, in order to hide amongst other humans, they scoop put their own endoskeletons, fuse them together to form ennard, and use michaels body as a flesh suit :)

and they succeed! for a while. after a while of being a flesh suit for a big robot thing, michaels body starts to decay! as bodies do. so, ennard decides to. leave. the body. bc its no longer habitable! leaving michael (whos still alive for some reason) as a rotted, skeleton-less corpse person!

and at the very end of the game, michael has another cutscene where he's kinda talking to william? but not rly bc william isnt there. hes talking to himself but to his dad. here loamso

ANYWAYS!!!!!! A NEW FREDDY FAZBEARS PIZZA LOCATION OPENED UP IN 1987!!!!!!!! with new and improved "safer" animatronics! consisting of toy freddy, toy chica, toy bonnie and mangle! this is the setting of fnaf 2, the 3rd game in the timeline! where, instead of michael afton, you play as jeremy fitzgerald! also, william comes back and murders 5 more kids in the new location!

also, the infamous bite of 87 happens here! and the victim is *drumroll* 🥁🥁🥁🥁 YOU! JEREMY FITZGERALD!!!!!! u get ur frontal lobe bitten off by the mangle animatronic! anyways, new location closes the same year, toy animatronics are SCRAPPED! and william afton was arrested, but there was no evidence proving that he was the murderer again

OKAYYY!!!!! FREDDY FAZBEARS PIZZA REOPENS (again) BUT THIS TIME, IN THE OLD LOCATION THAT THE FIRST MISSING CHILDRENS INCIDENT TOOK PLACE IN! ITS KINDA OLD AND BROKEN DOWN LOL! william afton tries to disassemble the haunted animatronics bc yk. theyrw obviously out for revenge on him. but accidentally releases their spirits into the living world. in a bout of fear, he runs to his old safe room (thats hidden from security cameras) and hides in his old springlock bonnie suit! hahaha! hes safe! except hes not. since the building is old and broken down, there is a water leak from the ceiling! and yall know what water does to the springlock suits!!!!

but he survives bc ofc he did. and hes left in that backroom until 2033 :) no one came to find him, because that backrooms have been sealed off and employees were told not to go back there or mention them to anyone outside the company!

anyways, the year is now 2003 and this is when fnaf 1 happens! at the end of the gamey freddy fazbears pizza closes for the final time </3

but fear not! 30 years later in 2033, a haunted attraction called fazbears fright is preparing to open in the same building! crazy how that happens. anyways, the managers of fazbears fright found william afton (now known as springtrap) in the back rooms and somehow doesnt realize that he is a decaying corpse inside a rabbit suit so! they use him as their only animatronic prop since the ogs have all been scrapped! this is where fnaf 3 starts- you play as security guard michael afton again, where hes finally found his father. the game ends with michael burning fazbears fright to the ground with springtrap still inside <3 slay

anyways, moving on,,,, after all the tragedy thats happened at freddy locations, fazbear entertainment hires a game developer to make a bunch of games meant to make light of all the deaths (this is the fnaf game devs self insert basically). to complete their coverup story, they hire a bigger company to make a vr game!! in fnaf vr: help wanted, u play as a game tester pretty much. however, the game was taking a while to develop, so fazbear entertainment sent a bunch of circuit boards to be scanned into computers in order to make the game faster

however!!!!!!!!! and heres the funny part: a virus known as glitchtrap (which is basically william afton... as a computer virus...) gets scanned into the games code! and after a while, glitchtrap successfully infiltrates the mind of one of the other game testers named vanessa, who becomes his unwilling successor known as 'vanny'. in help wanted, u have to help test the game while finding vanessas prerecorded tapes which have glitchtrap saved onto them. after finding all the tapes,,,, u accidentally set him free lol...... yea.

ANYWAYS NEXT GAME! FNAF 6, FREDDYS PIZZERIA SIMULATOR! this game was meant to tie up any loose ends left in the story, which it absolutely did. u (again) play as michael afton, who is tasked with salvaging old animatronics and keep them in the building. this is so at the end, old pal HENRY EMILY!!!! can make his badass comeback and burn down the building with everyone inside (including springtrap whos still alive not surprisingly) and it has the coolest ending cutscene imo

and after that, the extra game ultimate custom night is released, in which u play as william afton, trapped in hell- a neverending loop of trying to survive the very spirits u murdered. it was a really good ending to the story

but of course. it doesnt end there. because WERE NOT ALLOWED TO HAVE GOOD THINGS IN THIS FANDOM APPARENTLY. sigh. no. after this game comes the most recent, fnaf security breach! in which u play as gregory! our dearest beloved homeless kid whos trapped inside the mega pizzaplex and enlists in the help of freddy fazbear to help get u out! in the true ending of this game, u and freddy travel below the pizzaplex to..... THE LOCATION FROM FNAF 6???!?!?!??? yea. they built the mega pizzaplex on top of the charred up building. and guess whos still alive???????? william afton. but he looks BUSTED and DUSTED to all hell

.... yea..... this is peepaw willy.........

anyways! um. in the final battle u set him on fire.... again... but this time guess who shows up!!!! molten freddy! who is basically ennard but without circus baby. anyways molten freddy snatches up peepaw willy and kills him im pretty sure, while gregory and freddy make their great escape

AND THAT BRINGS US UP TO SPEED! I WILL NOT BE GETTING INTO THE BOOKS BC I LIKE TO PRETEND THEY DONT EXIST ❤

im almost afraid to ask this but... how do zombie villagers work in ur world..?

Zombification is the biggest concern for a village (Illagers can occasionally be reasoned with - there's no talking your way out of minedcraft rabies). A village with a steady supply of emeralds for transmuting or blaze powder and golden apples fairs better, but it's Death By Fire most of the time. Priests have Seen Some Shit and in an interesting inversion of real life, are usually the ones that questions the universe's love the most.

The lower prices thing is pretty realistic imo, I mean, You Literally Saved Their Live of course you're getting a discount at the bookshop they run

They don't do that bc best case scenario they made a mortal enemy out of their local priest, worst case scenario they get murked by their local golem/anyone with a weapon

It's not a problem illagers have since they're immune to zombies, but they don't do that either bc undead creatures in general are against their thing, which is life magic and returning life to the universe (I'm making up culture things as an excuse here, I just think We Have Enough Zombies Already). Some of them do mimic zombies bc counterculture is forever a thing

Your Minecraft world building has inspired me to create a whole culture for the villagers :D for example, a lot of villages have this weird thing that is two grass blocks, surrounded by upright trapdoors, with around three different flowers on top. It’s usually a bit further away from the main areas, and sometimes in a flower patch. I’ve interpreted it as a grave/casket for someone of importance (possibly a dead golem?) The three flowers signify the passing of life into the other two worlds.

Oh this is the most amazing thing, I hope you'll do sth cool with it!

And post-villagers and pillagers update architecture is just straight worldbuilding fuel, like how in the snowy tundra village everything are just 50 shades of spruce but then there's white red and blue beds. And I know it's done for aesthetic purposes but where the hell do they get blue dye from?? In my universe they could just transmute them in but that's still emeralds that could be food or fuel they're using for dyes of That Color Specifically. It's so human in an unintended way

It was a Thursday night when you first met him, or rather, heard of him. You had been streaming for five hours heading into your sixth when you decided it might be time for you to log off for the night. As per usual, you took at least thirty minutes at the end of your stream just to talk with your viewers, usually about how their lives were going in exchange for a story from your own day.

Tonight, however, there was an influx of people asking if you’d ever heard of a streamer by the name of Damien Haas, which you hadn’t, and if you would do a collaboration with the man anytime soon. Apparently, your content was eerily similar and you were, and I quote, “Practically the female version of him, looks aside.”

“Damien Haas…” you rolled yourself back closer to your desk, hands settled on your keyboard. You typed his name into the search bar, patiently waiting for Twitch to pull up his account. You clicked into the first one, making an impressed face at the purple checkmark next to his name. You squinted at the screen. “Is this him? In the profile picture with the LEDs in the background?”

You glanced at your chat, chuckling as the viewers started spamming ‘yes’ and ‘oh my god it’s happening,’ and your personal favorite, ‘mom come pick me up the best crossover of 2020 is happening and im SCARED.’

“He plays a lot of Animal Crossing,” you observed, clicking on one of his videos and dragging the tab onto your main monitor so the stream could see it. You skipped through the beginning part, biting into a pretzel as you watched.

“He’s kinda cute,” you commented, laughing as your stream freaked out once more. There were a few people commenting what looked like it could be a ship name though you ignored it. “Shame I’d never meet him, though.”

You paused his video, taking note of the time, before rolling out your shoulders. “I think it’s time for me to head out so I’m gonna end this stream with a huge thank you to you all for sticking with me through this entire stream and if you didn’t stay the entire time, I’m glad you decided to join in on the ride even halfway through. I’ll see you guys next time.”

You ended the stream, waving goodbye to your viewers before the light went out and you could relax the smile off your face. Don’t get it twisted, you loved streaming and you loved your viewers but just like any other job, it could get exhausting at times. You shut down your monitors, the screens turning blue before fading to black. You stretched, taking your phone up from its charger and launching yourself into bed, opening your phone and clicking on Twitter.

Much like staying thirty minutes after you were done streaming to talk to viewers, you usually went on Twitter right after to answer questions and respond to DMs. This time, however, instead of opening the app to see a bunch of post-stream questions, your mentions were filled with the video clip of you saying, “He’s kinda cute,” as well as maybe a million people tagging both you and Damien in them.

Well, shit.

Soon enough, that was all that filled your timeline. You couldn’t move in one direction without running into another screencap of you admiring the man. God, you knew the consequences but something in the back of your mind was urging you to reach out to him.

After a few moments of contemplation, the lonely side of you won out, forcing you to message him against your better judgment. Without even thinking about it, you found his Twitter and sent this message:

Hey, I’m sorry about your mentions blowing up because of me tonight. My viewers recommended your Twitch to me and I spoke without thinking about it on Live.

And with no expectation of his response, you fell asleep right there with your phone on your chest and the DM still open.

You woke up the next morning with a sore neck and a dead phone, which was a terrible way to start your day. You rolled over, plugging your device into an outlet before crawling out of bed to start your day. When you weren’t streaming, you worked as a freelance editor for different YouTubers, helping their editors with their workload or even staying on as a Temp for different companies. Occasionally you edited the odd commercial here and there, but those gigs were rare.

Most recently, you had received some material from a group of YouTubers, Smosh. This job was different, however, because if you did well on this you could be looking at a permanent place of employment through their parent company, Mythical Entertainment.

You knew Mythical Entertainment, it was hard not to, especially since your aunt was one of the producers within the company, but tended to ignore everything the company did. The last you’d heard, they’d onboarded another YouTube group (which you did later find out to be Smosh, the same YouTubers whose video you were hired to edit).

After a quick shower and a half-assed attempt at a proper breakfast, you were ready to start your day. You situated yourself behind your monitors, opening the video clips that had been sent to you. The first was a sample video, something that gave you insight on what their editing style was actually like.

But imagine your surprise when you’re staring down the same man you have called cute the night before, his approximately five-eleven stance taking up one-sixth of the space. He was standing next to a blond, who had been marked as “Shayne Topp.”

Despite there being five other people in frame, your eyes kept moving back to Damien’s figure, watching his mannerisms through the screen and laughing along to his jokes when they fell upon deaf ears.

Your eyes slid over to your phone, now decently charged after sitting for so long. On your screen were dozens of notifications. There were maybe two from your mom, asking if you’d be coming home for dinner sometime that week but the majority came from Twitter. You picked up the device, unlocking and responding to your mom with a, “yes,” before opening Twitter.

Nothing much had changed from the night prior. Your mentions were still being flooded with the video from last night but newer content had been ushered in, namely fan edits using footage from your streams and, you assumed, his.

The only major difference, however, was the fact that Damien had responded to your DM from the night prior. The first message read:

It’s really no problem! My stream had mentioned your name before, too.

Followed by the second:

P.S. I think you’re cute, too.

You couldn’t believe your eyes. Mr. Damien Haas, the man that you had made a thoughtless comment on stream about, also thought that you were cute. Suddenly, the fact that you had been staring at him for the past hour seemed less stalkerish and more like a blooming crush. You wrote back:

Aw, thanks! Have you seen the newer fan edits? They’re all so talented.

You cringed at yourself. A cute boy started talking to you and you’ve suddenly forgotten how to be suave, not that you really were in the first place. But still, you liked to think you had some tact when talking to people that you found attractive.

Not even a moment later, there came a response.

Yes, I have, he responded. And I agree! They are all very talented individuals.

You looked from the monitor in front of you. You had about a quarter of the footage left to go through before you could start editing but this technically wasn’t due until the following night. Feeling emboldened by the fact that he had actually responded, you replied:

Are you going to TwitchCon on Friday? We should meet up or something.

Anxiously you awaited his response, taking his silence as an opportunity to watch a bit more of the footage and take down notes according to the sample they’d given you. Roughly thirty minutes later is when the next response came in, reading as an affirmative to both questions.

You didn’t respond, choosing to leave your social media for after you’d finished editing the video. Your heart still pounded, however. Just the thought that there was a possibility for the two of you to meet was, simply put, insane. You’d just heard of the guy the night before and decided that he was going to be your latest hyperfixation.

But who could blame you? He was a nice, funny guy that showed the slightest bit of attraction towards you. It didn’t help that you were a sucker for guys that were nice to you.

Fast forward to the Friday of TwitchCon, also known as the first day of TwitchCon. You and Damien had been talking steadily over Twitter DMs and just last night you had gained his phone number, giving you even more access to the man than you had before. But of course, who were you if you didn’t tease your fans with the prospect of you meeting.

The night before, at the end of your stream, you’d given your fans the little tidbit of information that you and Damien were, in fact, planning on meeting up sometime during TwitchCon and would be greeting fans together for an hour at your booth.

That sent Twitter into a frenzy, both of your combined fans getting your ship name to trend within the hour, which confused the hell out of a bunch of locals.

It was nearing the time you and Damien had set to meet up. The plan was you’d meet around twelve for lunch, take an hour for yourselves, before going back to your booth and meeting with fans for an hour or so as promised.

You had never been more nervous than you were in that moment. Not only were you about to meet your three-day-old crush but apparently a very popular YouTuber. You tried not to let the thought mess with your head. One of your friends, Wilbur Soot (who you played Minecraft with from time to time) was poking fun at you for being nervous about meeting a popular YouTuber.

After three years of streaming and gaining a solid following, you’d think you’d be used to meeting other popular content creators. But because it was him, you found yourself unable to think straight.

“What if I fuck up?” you asked Wilbur anxiously. He’d flown in from London for this event at your insistence and because you’d offered to pay half his airfare to get there and back. He didn’t have his own booth as his arrival was very last minute, but he didn’t mind. He signed the occasional poster though his main purpose was to provide you mental and emotional support.

“You won’t fuck up,” he comforted, leafing through one of the comics a fan had given you. The entire thing was hand-drawn, which was an insane fact in itself. It looked professional, which was what blew you away when you’d received it. “Well, you won’t fuck up as badly as you did when you first met Schlatt.”

You groaned in embarrassment. “Don’t remind me.”

Long story short, you’d dumped a red in color slushy on the man accidentally after tripping over an unmarked cable. It really wasn’t your fault but the boys hadn’t let you live it down since then.

Half a moment later, Wilbur was poking your side. “Is that him?” he asked, jabbing his pointer finger into your side while looking in the opposite direction. He was looking at a familiar figure walking down the hallway toward your booth. He stopped for a moment to take a photo with a fan, talking to them about something, before continuing on his way toward you.

Your eyes locked and you gave him a smile while trying to beat Wilbur into no longer poking you. He stopped when you slapped his arm the first time, sticking his tongue at you before going on his phone. You rolled your eyes at his half-assed attempt of pretending he wasn’t about to start listening in on your conversation.

“Hey, Y/n, right?” Damien asked as he approached. You nodded, reaching out for a handshake but becoming pleasantly surprised when he instead pulled you in for a hug.

“You ready for lunch?” you asked glaring slightly at Wilbur as he made kissy faces over Damien’s shoulder. Luckily, Damien hadn’t noticed your moron of a best friend.

“Yeah, I saw this sushi place on the way in if you wanted to try that?”

“I’d be down,” you agreed, reaching behind your table to grab your bag. Wilbur was set to meet with a few other Minecraft streamers, meaning you didn’t have to worry about him while you had lunch. You looked over your shoulder, making sure everything was set for you to leave before saying goodbye to Wilbur.

Over the course of lunch, you and Damien had gotten to know each other pretty well. Once the conversation moved away from your fans and, well, work, and more into personal details, you found that you actually weren’t all that similar. For starters, Damien loved watching anime while your guilty pleasure was Gilmore Girls. The one show you both had a love for, however, was Avatar the Last Airbender, which made sense.

Another thing was that he actually enjoyed being in front of the camera while you tolerated it on most days, really only putting on your face cam for the last thirty minutes on most days. Despite that, he still classified himself as an introvert.

You returned back to your booth much later than you anticipated, thoroughly shocked at the line that had formed with Wilbur at the front of it, entertaining the fans that had shown up early to meet both you and Damien.

“Y/n!” one fan called, pointing in your direction. Immediately, the entire line turned and gaped at the sight of you and Damien walking together. You greeted them happily, stopping for pictures and verbally promising that you’d stay until you got to meet everyone personally.

“You really love your fans,” Damien observed as you put your things back down behind the table. Wilbur had set up shop on your right side, chatting with a few people at the front of the line.

“I wouldn’t be anywhere without them,” you admitted, pulling a silver sharpie from your bag. You handed a gold one to Damien. “I also wouldn’t have gotten to meet you without them, which I’m still sorry about, by the way. Your feed must have been chaotic.”

“You have no idea,” he chuckled. “But everything happens for a reason.”

You nodded, grinning up at him. “Yes, they do.”

i read your tags on my sad rambling and i just wanted to come here and give you everything i have to offer which is a bruised heart and 3.45$ (i think that's enough to buy two coffee depending on where you live, maybe if we're lucky we can even get a donut to split) 💕💞💓💗💖💘

i really really love dabi so so much and i just keep thinking about how badly i want to remind him that he's a person too. even though he's this big bad villain who's committed so many crimes my heart always hurts at the thought of how young he was when he left home,,, and i think touya is still trying to look for home again,,, even if there's a physical house he's in it's still not home, a feeling of being able to finally rest. i want dabi to finally go home. i want to give him the warmth and safety that every person, every child, deserves.

i know it's silly and that his abuse doesn't justify his actions, but at the same time i find it so incredibly unfair. there's no empathy for him, no understanding that he's built up all these walls because there's a heart that's desperate to not be hurt again. he can detach himself from his humanity but i think he'll always crave the intimacy of wanting to be seen, wanting to be understood. and i think it's such a disservice to him if we forget the fact that before a villain, before a criminal, he was just a little boy with a dream.

i know some people think dabi is a playboy and wouldn't care about a potential s/o (not that i think there's anything wrong with writing him like that) but the soft part in me always thinks that while dabi would try to push you away, it's because he can't understand why someone would want him. because if he spent his entire teen/early twenties convincing himself that his hands are made for destruction, how could he possibly convince himself that those same hands can hold you? it scares him, a bit, that you would die for him - because every life he's taken has always been taken, never given.

(i am so sorry for spamming your inbox jsdhfkshjksd i didn't mean to ramble this much but i just wanted to add that i don't think i'll ever be anywhere near your level of understanding poetry and writing beautiful prose, but i read this and the third stanza made me think of dabi <3)

i dont think my heart ever wont hurt for dabi. obviously, like you said, the abuse he experienced doesn't justify his crimes and im not and will never try to justify or excuse some of the things hes done (even though i joke that dabi has never done anything wrong and if he did no he didnt)

'i want dabi to finally go home' god. you just really hit the nail on the head with that. i think home & healing go hand in hand with his character. and in a way, i think healing for him can be a sort of home.

'he'll always crave the intimacy of wanting to be seen' yes absolutely i love this take more than i can put into words. dabi wants to be seen. dabi desperately wants to be heard. by the world but mostly by the person he loves. i feel like that’s a core part of his character.

tbh i don’t really get the whole…dabi canonically wouldn’t care for his s/o take that seems to go around. of course, any and all characterizations are completely fine, and we have no way of really knowing how he’d act in a romantic relationship, but i feel like things have gotten to the point where ppl are labeling any and all instances of dabi not being downright awful to his s/o as ooc which is kind of frustrating. it’s a disservice to his character to say as he can only act one way with all ppl otherwise it’s ooc.

personally, i think dabi fears vulnerability more than anything else. which is why he automatically pushes ppl away but once someone manages to wiggle their way past those defenses it’s game over. he’s not letting go until he absolutely has to. and even then…it’d take an army.

nilani!! i can not put into words how beautiful that dabi fic was. i’ve been thinking about it since you posted it. your take on dabi is one of if not my absolute favorite. please PLEASE never apologize for talking about him with me

How do you get people to always buy your dragons? Genuine question

i was gonna say something like “haha i have no fucking clue” but that would be a lie i think about this a lot actually so i might have some insights i’ve been breeding dragons as my primary activity on FR since i started playing FR (in 2014...) and people have only started actually buying dragons from me consistently like, 5-6 months ago, despite 2-3 attempts at running a genuine hatchery onsite that always died due to lack of interest & not really being worth the effort.

so ive thought a lot about what the hell is happening now and why my dragons are suddenly consistently selling and I think ive come down to these being the main points of advice i can give: 1. make friends! be friendly! don’t be weird! be a cool and fun person to interact with! 2. post consistently. post your dragons consistently. post about other stuff consistently. just be an active member of the community 3. POST YOUR SHIT IN THE “#FLIGHT RISING” TAG. THIS IS PROBABLY THE ONLY TRUELY HELPFUL THING I SAY IN THIS POST 4. make pairs that are sexy as hell and be openly proud of them. make dragons and pairs that you like, not what you think will necessarily sell. people can tell when you like stuff and being genuinely passionate about something, whatever the fuck it is, will get other people passionate as well longer versions/explanations under the cut because man this got a mile long. i wasn’t kidding when i said i think about this a lot and i am so sorry if you wanted something concise and useful

1. to be a little glib. i am mutuals/friends with more clout in the FR community than I do kjdshfdsfdhjhkfdf shoutout to everyone who draws their dragons really good on a regular basis because i am riding on your coattails to sell my dragons. i love you this was never my intent, obviously! DO NOT BEFRIEND PEOPLE BECAUSE YOU THINK YOU WILL GET STUFF FROM THEM IT’S JUST A REALLY BAD THING TO DO TO PEOPLE!!! i wouldn’t be friends w/ people if i didn’t genuinely like and get along with them! no amount of pixel cash is worth putting up with people you dont like or abusing people you admire! but i’d also somehow feel wrong to just... neglect mentioning this factor. idk it’s probably a self-esteem thing sjdkgfhdsf i just Don’t feel like my #success has been totally out of my own effort because its not like im #hustling or whatever i just posted dragons and stuff happened

2. being consistent! just. posting consistently! posting Every Hatchling I Have and Talking About Them On Tumblr! Once I had a couple nests just sell super fast likely due to aforementioned clout, i was emboldened to just post more of my nests more often and I swear this has more effect than anything else. i just needed the self-esteem boost to Start Doing That posting consistently makes ppl follow u for ur content which gets even more people to look at your dragons which gets more people to buy your dragons.

2a. Also just post a lot in general, even if you aren’t necessarily posting about your dragons for sale. it definitely helps! just be friendly and active and people will come

3. post your shit in the tag. not in “#dragon-sales” or “#fr-dragon-sales” or anything weird like that because I don’t know if anyone actually looks at those, but people definitely browse “#flight rising”. no matter how many followers you have, more people will see your content if you post it in #flight rising than if you just chuck it into the void.

3a. however! do not put links into the post if you want it to actually show up in the tag. tumblr is cool in that it doesn’t actually matter that much when you post something, the same way it really matters on twitter bc twitter has algorithms that decide for you what it thinks you want to be seeing whereas tumblr just shows you everything in chronological order. if you post something into the tag at 1am... it will still be there at 2pm when people log on and start scrolling.

the only thing tumblr seems to consistently hide from a tag (and possibly a dashboard, but idk) are posts with links in them, as a half-assed attempt to limit spam. instead of linking to your sales tab/to the dragons directly in the post, reblog it with the links instead. to reduce latency between a post going up and the links being available, i type out the links in the initial post, cut them, post the thing into the tag, then very quickly reblog, paste the links, and post the reblog jdhfsdf. i don’t know if that benefits anything really? but it can sometimes take me a while to type links, so if i posted, pressed reblog, typed up all the links, then posted, it’d be like ~15 minutes where someone may see the post, think “oh i would like to buy those dragons”, then can’t find the link, think “oh well, i will just find it later”, scroll on, and just... completely forget about it. so uh. go quick?

3b. the armchair sociologist in me also thinks self-reblogging has the added benefit of like... you know how people are more likely to tip a barista when a dollar is already in the tip jar? or how people are more likely to take one of those little tabs on a flyer if one of them is already missing? i think that works with notes, too. i don’t know why i think that or why it happens i just swear once a post gets 1 note, suddenly it gets Even More Notes, and if it doesn’t get any notes for a while it will sit at 0 notes until the end of time. so giving yourself 1 obligatory note makes people more likely to interact. i think

4. all of these are hard to quantify but this one is especially so: have cool and unique dragons. make your pairs sexy as hell. don’t put all your eggs (hah) into the one basket of selling dragons that are technically “popular”. we have all seen triple white/triple obsidian/triple orca/triple any other popular colors and cherub/pere/stained or wasp/bee/glim pthahlos or whatever. they’re pretty! we get it! but everyone has had one and everyone has had those pairs and market for dragons like that can be super oversaturated. try to break free from that and sell dragons that people can only get from you. I can’t tell you what to do though bc that rly depends on you. make pairs that you find exciting or interesting and people will feel that. i have a very specific theme and aesthetic that i don’t feel like is especially common on FR and i am genuinely very enthusiastic about it. marine shit is my Thing:tm: both on and off FR and dragons are one of my many ways of expressing that if you have a Thing:tm:, either some fr-centric aesthetic (like being super into plague or earth or light or something) or something more general (such as any of the -punks or -cores)... just fuckin roll with it honestly. if you’re goth? make got h dragons. like scene stuff that looks straight out of a middle school in 2010? rock that hot-topic lair. outdoorsey type? make dragons that look like you’d meet them on a hike in the woods. it really works with anything! people can tell when you really love something and i know that seeing someone really love something, even if it’s not necessarily MY thing, makes me really excited too!!

4a. never show fear. people can smell fear. never be like “well this one isn’t that good” because suddenly now you’ve planted the idea that it’s ugly in other people’s heads when they may have really liked it had you not accidentally suggested to them that it’s an ugly dragon. people are EXTREMELY suggestible to even VERY minor cues so be always a little bit bolder than you think you should be you’d be surprised at how many times ive been like “eh, this one’s kind of a dud, i’ll probably have to exalt this one when the auction expires” and then that hatchling is the first to sell. never ever ever ever decide what other people like for them. always act like your dragons are the hottest shit in all the land and Believe It. this is what people mean when they say “fake it till you make it”

- 4b. also, idk if it’s true of everyone but it’s really off-putting to see someone having serious pity-parties for themselves, on sales posts or otherwise. ive had bad experiences with people who are uncomfortably quick to self-depreciate (because they were using their genuine self-hatred to manipulate me or my friends), so i might be a little more trigger-happy about avoiding this behavior than others, but don’t weaponize your sadness to guilt people into doing what you want. it’s really not cool.

edit: AFTER ALL THAT I STILL THOUGHT OF ONE MORE THING. It’s not really a Point, just a Reminder:

i don’t post about all the times i have to exalt dragons that don’t sell. you are seeing me being very selective about what i post. you dont sit and stare at my lair or click through offspring lists or check old sales posts. there are a lot of times where someone just doesn’t sell. even now when i’m selling stuff pretty consistently i will still sometimes have dragons that don’t sell for seemingly no reason. even dragons I think are sure to sell will sometimes just... not. and that’s ok! you gotta just be.. ok with that. it’s par for the course. i typically list dragons for 7 days on the AH, give them a couple more days after their auction expires (partially because i forget, partially to give them a grace period for people to pm/ask me about them), and then exalt them after that point. w/ some dragons that i don’t think got a fair shake for one reason or another (such as the sales post not showing up in the tag or something) i do a little clearance (like the halloween dragons i recently posted) but for the most part if they don’t sell, i just exalt them. 90% of the time i don’t even bother to level them up i just press the exalt button and call it a day. it’s fine

An Innocent Sin & the good gay flashback ft. my descent into madness

I wasn’t sure if I should post this but I mostly want it archived so here we go. This is from like,, September?

So. “An Innocent Sin” is a dumpster fire unlike anything I’ve ever seen. I don’t remember why I decided to read it. maybe I was crazy. Either way... I read it. It soon started to touch upon (very very outlandish) sexual abuse which I thought was interesting. (the angst, not so much some of the wack circumstances surrounding it)

ANYWAY. at some point... we have a flashback. And not just that. It has a gay character.

And it turns rly gay. which mind you, is still in a het smut manwha (that has a “gay” side couple, but still!)

And it destroyed me.

For those who want to read it because I genuinely think the flashback is a decent bit, it’s all the bonus chapters between chapter 77 and 78 I think. There’s a part before that too, but idk where exactly anymore. (It’s on lezhin! or your platform of choosing)

I don’t THINK you’ll need any other knowledge to get the flashback bit? but it’s been a while.

fun new meme here ! write 3-5 things a rp partner (or those who want to be) should know about you and tag 3-5 people! it should be related to rp and not to other interests.

I have a lot of muses all spread out on different blogs so, if I can’t choose one of your muses, I’m going to send in a meme for each of your muses. Out of my three primary roleplay blogs, there are four side roleplay blogs. Four of the muses being time lords and every regeneration - incarnation - is a muse of their own. Over at @themadvigilantist have 339 V muses, 89 Vin muses, 3 villains; sideblog @tardis500 has 6 tardis oc muses, here, which is also a sideblog, I have 8 ocs, 12 canonical characters, 52 televised/comic/audio parody portrayals of the doctor. At @pennybraddock, i have only 1 oc muse. At @drbabygirl, i have 1 oc, and 4 canon characters. At @thebadtimewolf, I have a singular time lord main muse with 15 human alternate versions of herself and one angel entity with @nosewitch being one singular side blog. Altogether, i have 533 muses, possibly more if I miscounted (or if the doctor ends up getting more that I missed then well shit, i’ll add them later as muses too. So, if you are someone that don’t want a spam of asks your way or thought I would just pick one muse out of your many, you are dead wrong on that and I might not be the blog for you. I’ll slap in a new muse left and right and then think I’m done only to add 20 more out of excitement just to forget about them later on. When I say I am excited to rp with you, I’m excited to throw a small village at every single muse you got unless you pick one first.

I am a very graphic and dark writer with the occasional smut (depending on the blog/muse), that does not censor or tone down their muse but, there are some limits. Just about all of my rp blogs deal with some very heavy subject material, which I tend to write out in great detail. This means you might come across descriptions of scenarios, that are very dark, graphic, disturbing or just drawn out as something that my muse realistically, no one would give/expect that kind of reaction towards in general. However, I have a limit and no, it’s not because it makes me unconfortable writing it, I just get...stuck. Okay, for example with my villain/neutral muses, I can’t write rape. I’ll write with someone that can write that particular subject but, I can’t write it myself because I don’t know how. Murder? You betcha and with detail. Torture? You got it and with trauma. Destroy an entire solar system while making the character feel wracked with guilt over the deaths of billions? Yeah, I can do that with detail on how it affected everyone else on a visual. Rape? Nope, nothing, same goes if you random anons want to just worse stuff, I can’t write it. Don’t know how, won’t know how. Now, that being said, I will never condone any of those behaviors that I describe but, if I can’t write it? Then pick something else. I can tag appropriately but, if my partner don’t tell me to cut to the next day or do fade-to-black in their following response, I’m going to describe that. Why I say depending on the muse is this: some of my muses are into fearplay/edgeplay but, the level where they were probably the reason some of their ‘interests’ are called risk-accepted consensual kinks which, for muses that are vile or evil, y’all gonna have to um, explain it that what you’re doing to them is not a dubcon situation but, a no-dont-get-off-on-this situation-this-is-my-scare-tactic. if you don’t, it’s gonna get real uncensored morticia/gomez real quick and you don’t want it. Other muses on the other hand will actually be scared so, choose (out of the collective 533+ muses) wisely. I’ll give you a list of who is in to what real quick, just ask/im me and i’ll find a generator that show just how much/little they’ll be into a thing.

I use either memes, open starters, greeters as an ice breaker but, also aiming to pre-established starters. So, I tend to make general starter for those that recently follow me in a way that anyone could respond to. I’m not shy to plotting but, for the most part, I’m just testing the waters. We can also im each other, send each other asks or whathaveyou. A jumping board that I might respond to one of your open starters or make a thread out of an answered post that you or I had sent to the other.

I don’t know how to godmod but, if you do it ...don’t be surprised that the muse is gonna fight back?? I only say this because I can’t write physical fight scenes with anyone because I’m so shit at those that I can now say that I have been accused of godmodding (2) twice in the span of a decade on this site by two ppl who (hopefully) live somewhere with free healthcare. Everytime I respond to how my character would counter an attack, there’s always that one person with their muse - that they are clearly in a fight scene - that only I get accused of godmodding out of nowhere. Despite when I look back at my responses on how I word things and I don’t see it (I still don’t. Is there an editor I can ask to look over and what I should reword here??) and the accuser fails to tell me to reword what sentence/paragraph to fix it where it’s not that. If I don’t get a response to what/where the specific bit in my response that made you think/came across as godmodding, then clearly you was godmodding too. OTHERWISE, WITH THE REST OF THE PPL I RPED A FIGHT SCENE WITH IN THE SPAN OF THE DECADE, THEY WERE JUST LIKE ‘OH THIS IS FUNKY AND FUN! *CUE TO US VIBIN OVER ANGST IN TAGS WHILE ALSO POKING FUN AT OUR MUSES AND SHIT*’ AND LIKE WE COOL SO MAYBE IT’S NOT MY WRITING STYLE, IT’S JUST YOU MISREADING THE TEXT PRESENTED TO YOU AND NOT ASKING ‘hey what you mean by [action/thing]? could you like rewrite that? i don’t get it, it didn’t sit right could you rewrite it?’ I’LL DO IT, I’LL FIX IT. HELP ME SEE WHAT YOU SEE?? INSTEAD OF JUMPING TO THAT ACCUSATION WITH NO EXPLANATION WHEN A THREAD DON’T GO YOUR WAY?? IT’S NO ANNOYANCE/BOTHER FOR ME TO FIX MY MISTAKES BUT IF YOU DON’T TELL ME WHAT THE MISTAKE IS (while consciously choosing to just point out that in some part of our thread to say only ‘stop godmodding/that was a little godmod-y’ when a muse of mine don’t react/act indifferent to yours and their actions) THEN HOW AM I SUPPOSE TO GET BETTER, DO BETTER, AND BE BETTER IN MY WRITING WITH YOU IF YOU CAN’T HANDLE THE REPERCUSSIONS/REACTION OF MY MUSES CHOICE OF RESPONSE?? ok that’s out of my system anyway don’t-don’t-don’t godmod but also, if you think im godmodding when i can’t tell where it is on either side ahahahah, u better fucking tell me which paragraph/sentence i fucked up instead of just throwing that word around when you can’t handle when muses don’t automatically shiver at the sight of yours. if anything, they already been there done that over it.

I’ll make a manip, gifset, draw our muses for our muses. I do that. I do that a lot. Ask me, I’ll do it. I’ll submit/send the drawing privately but, manips and gifsets: I put that on display. I will. Ask me.
