I feel like Eva needs her own arc. Like her whole story shouldn’t just revolve around her romance. Towards the end of the second book I definitely felt like she became self insert-y and kind of obsessive with her love of Jacks. I mean I still ship them so much and her feelings towards the end of the book made sense bc she was in love with him but he was being so confusing but I just wanted her to have an independent arc apart from him too. Like her coming into power

she needs her own character development as well, jacks is getting that so she should too

Hi! Can you ask renisfan to translate what Rhea says before she turns to The Immaculate One in both SB and GW, because she literally says "my mother's fallen comrades!". Her mother's comrades, her not siblings??!!

I checked on pegasus knight and she goes :

Talking with @renisfan​ yep it's more something like "it's not over yet, for my mother and for my deceased brethren's sake, I..."

The localised version mixed everything together, but imo, even if the “ の “ kind of signifies the “ ‘s “ the coma imo makes it clear that Rhea wanted to say for my mom’s sake and (thus the coma) for my brethren’s sake and not a general “for my mother’s brethrens’s sake”

Comrades is a weird choice though... I know word to word translation sucks, but here it’s kind of explained  同胞 can mean brethrens, brothers, fellow countryman, etc etc.

But it’s Nopes, and KT doesn’t want to shed too much light on the Nabateans, as always, else people might wonder why Rhea is saying she can’t give up the fight as she fights for her mother’s sake and her butchered siblings’s sake, this path is supposed to end with a high five!

and we can’t have Supreme Leader look bad, like she finished a genocide (or wanted to bcs what she wants to do with Rhea is cloudy in Nopes) by referencing Rhea’s dead siblings who also died because some humans wanted power and slaughtered them a few miles away, chasing the survivor from her home

Her plan hits a snag when she realizes that she is not all too keen at the idea of losing her old friend and confidante, even if it is to someone as pretty and amiable as Miss Inoue.

As the younger sister of Duke Byakuya Kuchiki, The Duke of Rotwood, Lady Rukia Kuchiki appears at first glance to want for nothing. Even at the age of twenty and one, she is in no rush to settle. She is after all, an heiress with a handsome dowry. Her education afforded her much good taste and sensibilities and as a daughter of the great and noble house of Kuchiki, she was blessed with good connections to most of the prominent families in Society.

The Kuchikis are wealthy landowners- old money with roots and branches in stocks and bonds, coal mines and factory owners; and now, a hand in the trading ports and businesses of the East India.

Their ancestral family grounds in Karakura borders that of the sprawling Shiba Manor. The latter while by no means an ancestral family home is still a summer home for the Kurosakis and by far, their favourite abode.

Duchess Kurosaki née Shiba is a native Karakuran and greatly preferred the rustic charms of the country life over that of dreary London. To humor her, the Kurosaki family spends the majority of the year in their Karakuran residence, socializing and familiarizing themselves with the local residents and their esteemed neighbours, the Kuchikis.

Despite the difference in age and temperament, the scions of the two families got along well. They became close friends as seasons passed, surrounded by the same circle of friends and acquaintances. Yet, it soon becomes apparent, to Rukia at least, that as she grows older, the occurrences of her being matched and paired up with the Kurosaki heir surreptitiously for one social event or the other have become worryingly high.

And that just will not do.

What are dead man walking tornadoes? :O

it’s a multi-vortex tornado. i dont remember the tribe it originates from (i think it was cherokee), but there’s a native american legend…? saying? that goes “if you see a man in a tornado, you are about to die.”

the most infamous shot of a dead man walking tornado hit jarrell, texas in 1997

it did so much damage to the town it caused the scale that tornados are measured by, the fijita scale, undergo revisions, and it made anchoring buildings in the tornado alley region pretty much mandatory. (it took the entire town off the map. only those who had taken shelter outside of the town or in underground bunkers survived.)

two more examples of dead man walking tornadoes looking like a person are a tornado from 2011 that hit cullman, alabama

and a tornado from 1975 that hit xenia, ohio

edit: it has been brought to my attention that the native american “legend” part of this post was a rumor spread by a documentary.
