They have a slight lesbian vibe
These two were originally supposed to be the main icons of Mattel and advertise Barbie, however, due to the fact that Barbie was much more popular and better advertised, these two were left very far in the drawer and never returned. I would like them to have more Barbie advertisements with this art style.

Giraffe's Eye View: Christmas Specials Special (2023) | Care Bears Nutcracker
Chestnuts are roasting on an open fire. Jack Frost is nipping at your nose. Mom and dad can hardly wait for school to start again. All the dogs in the neighborhood somehow learned to bark Jingle Bells in sync. Yet retail workers are still more annoyed with Mariah Carey. Snow is getting shoveled, tossed, and formed into sentient beings leading parades without permits. It makes for an excellent distraction as the Krampus abducts children for bad behavior. Fruitcake is exchanged only to find its permanent home in the garbage. Terrorists have hijacked the Holiday office party right before your boss can give you a Jelly of the Month Club membership as your bonus. And of course, the Turducken has returned to wreak its fiery vengeance upon an unsuspecting world! If all this doesn’t put you in the Christmas spirit, perhaps these following Holiday specials will!
Greetings people of today and robots of tomorrow! It is I, Santa Clark, your geeky giraffe friend with a deep love of Christmas! My obsession for the yuletide is rivaled only by Maleficent’s hatred for it, which is saying a lot considering she once teamed up with Mad Madam Mim to kidnap the literal Spirit of Christmas. Yes, that really happened. I know this due to my annual pilgrimage to the Island of Misfit Specials, home to obscure or nerdy festive media ranging from movies, TV episodes, and comics. It’s no easy journey. Constantly I find myself confronted by sinister snowmen, genocidal gingerbread men, and worst of all, crappy commercials. Getting stabbed in the foot by a candy-cane wielding cookie is one thing, but I swear I’ve seen that ad for Wilbur’s White Elephant Gift Emporium more times than I’ve seen Miracle on 34th Street! Sometimes at night I catch myself reciting that jingle. Wilbur’s White Elephant Gift Emporium: Where Christmas meets Convenience! Huh, maybe Maleficent had a point.
Nah, my deep-rooted appreciation for this time of year can weather even the most moronic marketing! It helps that most of the merry media I’ve seen have put me in the perfect Holiday mood! Examples include the time a Ninja Turtle found himself trapped in a truck full of stollen toys, a drunk department store Santa stumbling onto a wish-granting magic bag, Big Bird nearly becoming a popsicle, Gwenpool waking up in a world where Galactus took the place of jolly ol’ Saint Nicholas, a terrifying tree stump trying to slaughter some saps over a stupid ship war, and the year when Death gave the Little Match Girl the greatest gift of all. Needless to say, I thought I had seen it all. That is, until I took my friends on a trip to the Island, tasking them to find me new, strange, seasonal specials to review! Some of them were fair, finding me festive favorites as comforting as coco in front of the fireplace. Others were fiendish, wanting to feed off my misery like Gremlins after midnight. Regardless of how naughty or nice my companions were, I’ve compiled all of their suggestions into a makeshift advent calendar! So stay tuned everyday until Christmas to see how badly my buddies can shred what little sanity I have left.
On the second day of Christmas, my buddies gave to me...
Tumblr media
For the record, it says something when nobody's even made a GIF for what I'm about to review.
Malicious as Molly was, she may have set the bar too high with Barbie. For along comes the fairy Claire (YourClairyGodmother), set on proving that the ‘all Canadians are friendly’ claim is a myth. Having recently reviewed a slew of their work herself, she saw fit to share her suffering with me by burdening me with a Care Bears Christmas caper of my choice. Oh how nice, my executioner allowed me to pick how I get to die! Mirroring Grumpy Bear’s dour attitude, I scoured the Care Bears Wiki to make my selection, all the while wondering how this franchise is still alive after all this time. Starting out in 1981 as greeting card characters, these bears became a beloved series of plush toys parents killed each other over at Black Friday’s. Not gonna lie, having Sinbad and Arnie fight over Funshine Bear would’ve made Jingle all the Way that much funnier. It’d certainly be more entertaining then what I ended up picking, that being Care Bears Nutcracker Suite. Dear Santa, I don’t remember asking for endless torment. At this rate getting my nuts cracked probably wouldn’t be as excruciating. Still, perhaps I’m being pessimistic. Let’s give them the benefit of the doubt and jump right in! After all, these bears beat out Black Cauldron at the box office. Surely they have something special to offer here.
Like terrible child voice actors. We’ve got those in spades here! Okay, I know it’s not nice to call out kids who are only here because of parental peer pressure, but A Charlie Brown Christmas set the bar so high two decades prior! Though to be fair, maybe this is like Hayden Christensen regaling Padme about sand. You can only do so much when the script serves you verbal fruitcake on a platter. Such as when one of the kids, tricked into portraying the Rat King in an elementary production of the ballet by his sister, rightfully laments how lame the show is. Seeing one of her students complaining, our blonde ballet instructor halts class in order to tell a self-insert fanfiction where she herself is Clara. Whoa, deja vuh.
For all of you fearful that this is going to get repetitive, put your worries at ease. The writers made no effort to make the narrative comprehensive here. Instead of a mysterious family member, our Young Clara stand-in Anna (Tara Strong) is visited by Funshine Bear (Susan Roman) and Grumpy (Bob Dermer). Right as they tumble down the chimney ready to help this privileged dork with whatever first world problem she has, a dimensional rift abruptly appears in her room, dropping out the titular Nutcracker (Michael Beattie) and an army of rats. Sadly this time they’re not led by Tim Curry and they’re even less intimidating than before. Whereas previously they at least had swords, now they rush forward into battle with nothing but the clothes on their back. As if that wasn’t idiotic enough, they’re easily frightened off by the two bears and Anna’s younger brother Peter (Stuart Stone) in a trench coat. Wow, I was wondering how they’d top the Mouse King getting taken out by a shrunken woman’s flimsy footwear. You fail at failing to disappoint, Care Bears. Good to know I don’t need to take any of the villains seriously. By chance is it too late to bring back that creepy book lady from the movie? She’d be a better foe than the Vizier (Don Francks), a Jafar wannabe decked out in purple that commands the cowardly vermin. He’s after the Nutcracker so he can, you guessed it, take over the world and ruin Christmas. How he’d ruin Christmas is never explained, though I doubt whatever logic they presented would’ve made sense anyway.
Regardless of the reason, our heroes elect to help Nutcracker in his quest to stop the Vizier, enlisting some Care Bears Cousins to help. Though really I assume it’s to expose kids to more toys they can buy, since Funshine and Grumpy managed to make an entire armada run away in fear. Why else bring in Brave Heart Lion (Dan Hennessey) or Lotsa Heart Elephant (Luba Goy) if not for promotional purposes? Remember kiddies, pester your parents into buying these new friends or else you’ll be a sad loser! Together with Baby Tugs (Melleny Brown) and Hugs (Tracey Moore), they leap into the dimensional portal to restore order to Toyland. Along the way they encounter a bunch of cranky citizens blaming the Vizier’s rise to power on a prince named Alan. Whoa, deja vuh times two. Before anybody asks, yes, once again the Nutcracker is clearly the missing monarch. The rest of our heroes only find out after battling more rodents on a runaway train, meeting a magical fairy that’s as useless as the owl, and getting turned into wood by the Vizier. Our story ends with the titular toy’s humanity easily being restored, the villains being beheaded for war crimes, and the ballet class from earlier never really putting on their pageant as their teacher Anna walks off with her boi toi. Whoa, deja vuh times three. All while the Care Bears watch on from the raptors, waiting to pick the kids off one by one for sport.
Do I even have to say it? Honestly, what point is there in me picking out the flaws? It’d be like stating how pretty Christmas lights are, there’s no purpose in proclaiming something so patent. For the sake of keeping you all from searching up this sugary-coated crap though, I’ll list off my reasons. The pacing was painfully slow, making this extended episode feel like the director’s cut of a Peter Jackson movie. Replacing the charismatic, complex characters of those works are cardboard cutouts who are criminally one-dimensional. Even Grumpy, who I maintain is the best character in this series, feels so one-note. Worst of all is the animation. Much as I dogged out Barbie Nutcracker, I can applaud the ambition on display. Somebody clearly put some effort into the final product. At no time did I feel the same could be said for this. This was some paycheck for an animator who clearly wanted nothing to do with these blasted bears. And if all the behind the scenes stories Claire told me are any indication, I might not be too far off. Needless to say, I did not care for this special. I also didn’t care for you suggesting it to me, Claire! So when Seerius dumps something rotten into your stocking, just know that’s from me! For now though, I need a better Holiday special featuring a character voiced by Tara Strong.

My 2023 Art Retrospective (Part 1)
Before we continue--yes, this is just part one. I will warn you upfront--this is going to be a wall of text, and so will the next part. With my 2022 retrospective I did try to condense things down, but I wasn't anywhere near as successful for this year.
I originally didn't want to write a retrospective because in terms of general performance/productivity, I felt there wasn't much to discuss. Looking back on my 2022 retrospective, my big story there was how I made a *big* leap over 2021 in productivity, and raised my profile/art skills quite a bit, with 2022 seeing some of my most popular art, period. 2023, all things considered, seemed like it was 2022 again, like one of those videogame sequels that's mainly just more of the same. But the more I really consider the following, 2023 honestly was like if I took whatever strides I made in 2022 and strapped a rocket (assume 2022 is a car for this analogy to work). I think going into the nuances as to why I feel this way is important, and with 2023 marking my online art identity having existing for over a decade by this point, I think that milestone itself is also worth more than a cursory acknowledgement.
Like last year, I'll first start this retrospective by looking back on my my art goals outlined for 2023, when I made my retrospective by 2022's end.
Fanart: Much like 2022, I think I came close on having at least one fanart posted each month, but my OC projects (The Clock Robin Caper; and an upcoming OC project I started development on, but eventually decided to withhold for 2024) took priority, the fanart became more secondary. Regardless, the fanart output was still at least twice as much from 2022, and they included some of my most-popular pieces to date. The popularity of Not Paying for That/The House Special (the Pizza Tower/SpongeBob crossover) in particular was arguably a case of being at the right place at the right time with an appealing/funny concept--it's to date the only art I've had on tumblr pass 100 notes in less than two days. The (relative) popularity of that work (as well as the popularity of Petals to the Metal [Princess Daisy fanart] on Twitter) are probably the most encouraging works of this year, where the interest they receive does give me hope I can still make more of a name for myself as a artist(/animator) in the current landscape (or hellscape, take your pick) of online creators.
So now I'm in something of an odd pickle in terms of where my angle with fanart goes in 2024. Of course, I would like to make even more fanart of things I like or at least have a vested interest in, but I recognize that the fanart I've generally made has typically been some sort of unique concept (either being something I used to theme my OCs around, or some sort of crossover/mashup of ideas that I like). The fanart also tends to be among my more "technical" works I put added emphasis on details/development, instead of quicker/simpler items like doodles or sketches. I feel like I'd have to change my approach/production process for fanart if I wanted to get more of it out there in the upcoming new year.
Animation: This is where I'd say this was a step back, though I hope with the new circumstances/what I've learned, it does lead to bigger, more, and better things into the future. While I made three animations, it was only two original animations (with a third being a WIP of the existing two), and one of the animations didn't even feature any character animation. Nonetheless, I am admittedly pretty proud that two of them were honestly put together pretty quick (produced out of the interest of a then-viral Barbie Special Month commercial from the 1970s) and I feel they fit the aesthetic/direction of the source material moderately well.
If nothing else, I can at least say that one of the animations (Complimentary Doll) marked my return to trying to animate in CSP, which I had abandoned due to limited features (I had PRO, so I was limited in framerates); while the other (Waiting for Free Stuff) was animated in OpenToonz, which I do think I grew more comfortable to using as time went on (learning keyboard shortcuts and taking a more "modular" approach with using multiple levels for animating different parts of the animation). I fully believe I could had gotten Waiting for Free Stuff finished even earlier if I didn't use OpenToonz' raster layers for the entire animation (which was very limited to use, even with using multiple levels), instead of vectors layers.
Between being able to get an upgrade to CSP EX (Ver. 1--copies of which are still being sold in certain areas), becoming more accustomed to OpenToonz, and getting a new drawing tablet; I'm hoping to really expand my animation ventures. In particular, I'm hoping that I'm able to get back into producing animations with colors and producing more animated stuff in general--which in general, I foresee being easier with CSP instead of OpenToonz. (I still want to keep learning OpenToonz nonetheless, since it's UI/setup is still arguably more tailored for an animation workflow compared to CSP.)
Backgrounds/environments: Overall, I say this was a step up over 2022. There's still a fair amount of basic environments here and there; but I think there were much less non-environments overall. Fittingly enough, I highly credit my Clock Robin Caper project for the improvement in this area--since I was producing "film stills" representing different "scenes," I made an effort to present most of the characters in multiple different environments; using photos references for most of the settings in question and even going the "extra mile" in adding small details that most people wouldn't even notice. I'd in this regard, Frames 04-09 were my highlights in environment design this year.
The mixed media artwork I did in the spring, where I incorporated my Commodities OCs in photos I took during my trip to Canada, also helped in this regard. That was a fun project that, as I alluded to earlier, I'm honestly not quite finished with. There are other photos I took that I'm hoping to use; but they were shelved to make way for the Clock Robin Caper and the other untitled upcoming OC project. Going into 2024, I hope to try and create at least a few "pure" landscape works, akin to my earlier artwork; though of course I want to properly measure where my current art skills lay with environment design. By the same coin, I'm still open to doing remakes of my previous art (which was sadly a no-show for this year).
Comics/stories: I had nothing to offer on this front for 2022, and I said I wanted this to be my art priority for 2023. I'd argue I delivered and then some--although I think the development process certainly could had been managed better. A core element of my The Clock Robin Caper project was to develop the mystery/story across each of the frame, without much--if any--explicit dialogue said by the characters. (Though I did also regularly include descriptions to at least give some basic explanations as to what was happening and what was the importance of each character in the scene.)
I'd say without a doubt, the Clock Robin Caper is inarguably the most elaborate art project I've done, since I went through a bunch of story ideas/concepts in finalizing it (which is partially why it took so long to finish), in addition to the addition multiple OCs from others' creators that were included (deciding who to use for each frame and figuring out how to draw them--a little over half of the OCs I was drawing for the first time) and the aforementioned environments I developed for each frame. I was also able to get two other comics, with the newspaper-styled short comic "The Thought That Counts" and the longer-form, multi-page comic "The Story of Ronda" (both concerning Ronda and Aero, go figure).
I still have a bunch of story ideas that I'd like to adapt, but much like the fanart, I think I'd have to change my strategy if I wanted to get more comics/stories produced in an adequate matter. I think I still have issues with how I manage my time, which also played a role in The Clock Robin Caper being drawn out longer than it arguably needed to be. It's why I ended up shelving my aforementioned in-development art project --which I actually teased within one my 2023 artworks-- for 2024. Some of the artwork I've made for it was actually completed and has been finished for months, and in other circumstances, I probably would had published it by this point. But with this one, I'm aiming to have most of the artwork completed first, so I can publish it on a consistent/regular schedule.
Art trades/collaborations: Truth be told, this is largely a beat-for-beat replay of last year--wanted to do trades/collabs, but I was busy with my art projects. I did at least respond to at least one OC draw request, and joined in on some viral art redraw memes--which while not quite within this topic realm, was at least some self-imposed challenges I was willing to take on, and were pretty fun to do. By the same coin, there's not much if any movement towards me being open to art commissions (either for fun or for commerce).
--
By this point, I think this has gotten long enough that I'm splitting this up into two parts. Here is a link to the second part. A sincere thanks to anyone who has stuck around to read the whole thing (so far), and have a Happy New Year's Eve/New Year's Day and a wonderful 2024.

Friday Special #1
October 23rd, 2020
Hello and welcome to the first issue of the Friday Special!
In honor of the Spooky Month October, today’s topic of choice is
Castlevania (Franchise)
Tumblr media
(For the sake of keeping it concise, I will only be writing about the main games for console as the franchise is quite massive. The handheld and spinoff games will have their own post)
Okay so where to begin?
Castlevania has seen five different developers in its timeline of games:
Konami (main developer and publisher)
Eighting
MercurySteam
Kojima Productions
M2
Castlevania as a series began its life in the year 1986, the same year the gaming world saw the introduction of other franchises as Dragon Quest (Dragon Warrior in the West until 2005 for North America and 2006 for Europe), Metroid and The Legend of Zelda. The first game was critically and commercially very successful upon release and has since been considered one of the biggest gems for the NES (Nintendo Entertainment System) and RF Famicom Disk systems.
With success came sequels, and Castlevania II: Simon’s Quest (1987) and Castlevania III: Dracula’s Curse (1989) both for the NES and RF Famicom Disk systems, with notable mention to Simon’s Quest containing the signature tune of “Bloody Tears” which became as iconic as the series itself and ended up becoming the main theme of the series.
Although Simon’s Quest did away with the traditional linear platformer setup to instead go for more non-linear gameplay inspired by The Maze of Galious (another Konami title that was released the year before), the third installment would go back to the platforming roots of the first game but kept the nonlinear gameplay.
The series saw its leap into the 16-bit era with the release of Super Castlevania IV on the Super Famicom and SNES (Super Nintendo Entertainment System) systems in 1991 in Japan and North America (1992 in Europe). Like the sequels before it, it garnered massive praise and was even seen as one of the best games of all time by several publications both at the time and in retrospect with high scores across the board by the likes of Nintendo Power, Gamespot and IGN, just to name a few.
Although it would be five years before the well-known Castlevania: Symphony of the Night, would be released, several games did come out in between them such as Castlevania: Rondo of Blood (first released as PC-Engine Super CD-ROM in Japan in 1993 before being ported to the PSP in 2007 as Castlevania: The Dracula X Chronicles), the Sharp X68000 home computer version of Castlevania (later re-released for the Playstation in 2001), Castlevania: Bloodlines (the only Castlevania game ever released on the Sega Genesis in 1994) and Castlevania: Dracula X in 1995.
Tumblr media
When Castlevania: Symphony of the Night was finally released in 1997, it was initially greeted with mixed reviews and combined with lackluster advertising for the game in North America, it would take a while before the game would eventually gain a cult following thanks to word-of-mouth before later being hailed as one of the very best in the series. It was the direct sequel to Rondo of Blood and featured the non-linear level design taken from Simon’s Quest years before.
As with most games from yesteryear, Castlevania did not have a smooth transition into the 3D realm of the Ninendo 64 when Castlevania 64 was released in 1999. Receiving mixed reviews upon release, the controls and in-game camera were criticized harshly but the graphics, gameplay (went through heavy changes) and story were seemingly positive. Its successor, Legacy of Darkness, was released that same year to worse reviews than the first.
The next 3D installment was Castlevania: Lament of Innocence in 2003, released on the PS2. The game took a heavy departure from its roots by instead utilizing the hack-and-slash genre best known in games like Devil May Cry and God of War to name a few. Despite the changes, it was positively received by critics and fans alike for its enjoyable gameplay and the reception of moving from 2D side-scrolling to 3D was favorable.
In more recent years since the release of Castlevania: Lords of Shadows in 2010, Castlevania has now started its series under the Lords of Shadows names with the latest release being in 2014 with the title Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2. At this time, the latest game to date is the  Castlevania Anniversary Collection.
Tumblr media
Thoughts from the Head
I’ve been well-acquainted for about as long as I can remember, having seen an ad for the first Castlevania game for the GBA in a page of an old Marvel Barbie comic I have (I think I still have those comics but they’re at home at the moment so I can’t access them). I’ve actually express in playing them but copies are a little hard to come by since I do not have the Famicom Disk System (I only have the normal RF Famicom) but I might be able to at least try Super Castlevania IV on the Super Famicom (the prices for the cartridges are higher than average but it’s a well-known franchise so that’s usually the case). In regards to the music, the soundtracks absolutely slap, so especially give them a listen, especially Simon’s Quest.

Interview by Veronica Bianchi-
-paraphrased to include my favorite bits & alongside my crazy ramblings!
I feel like this must have been previously posted here, either in full or in part, beyond just including a quote or two in a compilation, but I can’t find it and I also don’t really care...because I’d post it anyway regardless lol, so...let’s get right into it:
••••••••
Interviewer: “Tough guy or softy?”
Jared: “People often expect me to be the gentle one of the two of us.”
Jensen: “That’s not just suspected. It’s also true.”
Jared: “Yeah, I admit...I can be a pretty big softy.”
Jensen: “Did you or did you not cry during Toy Story 3?”
(I just adore the mental image of J2 cuddled up watching Toy Story 3 together ❤️ and Jared gets all teared up into Jensen’s lap while Jensen pretends to be mildly exasperated but soothingly rubs Jared’s head and also finds it secretly endearing)
•••••
Jared (on his relationship with Jensen): “That’s almost impossible to explain. Nine months of the year we’re stuck together, but even when we’re not actually working during those nine months, or during the other three months out of the year for that matter, we always find ourselves choosing to be together.”
(This has obviously become such a famous J2-ism, and with good reason! My favorite thing about it is how Jared starts off by saying that his relationship with Jensen is impossible to explain, but then by the end of his answer, in one long sentence, he’s managed to pretty undeniably convey the fact that they are CLEARLY, CLEARLY soulmates who literally cannot be separated from each other.) 💕
•••••
Jensen: “If you compare our relationship to Sam and Dean’s relationship, there is a huge difference. Jared never drives me up a wall.”
Jared: “I wouldn’t say never.”
Jensen: “Not like you’re actually driving me up a wall. We can talk to each other about anything, do anything together...and that’s pretty unique.”
Jared: “Yeah! And whenever we’ve fought, it’s been for each other.”
Jensen: “We have that loyalty, and I can honestly say I’d jump in front of a bullet for him and never think twice.”
Jared: “And the best part of Jensen’s and my relationship is it’s gonna be that way while we’re doing the show and when we’re not. He’s stuck with me for life now, and that’s important.”
(I mean, what to even say about all this that isn’t already completely obvious? I will say that these interviews always make me nostalgic for the earlier days when the Js were so blatant about their much-more-than-platonic relationship in so many ways that it’s a miracle there’s a single person who was around for those years and paying attention who didn’t glue on the old tinhat.)
•••••
Jared (on their approach toward what they look like/style/etc.): “Jensen thinks he’s a cowboy.”
Jensen: “I’m not going out and buying a ranch or anything.”
Jared: “You still think you’re a cowboy at heart though.”
(I can just see it soooo clearly, cowboy Jensen! Also, we literally HAVE seen it now.)
Tumblr media
Jared (to Jensen as he continues to answer the question): “I’m not wearing anything special, am I?”
Jensen: “Just flannel, like you and Sam always are.”
Jared: “‘Cause your clothes are always so stylish.”
Jensen: “They are.”
(another thing I can visualize so clearly, Jared huffily/teasingly saying “cause your clothes are always so stylish,” and Jensen just being like ohh “they are” with a little smirk.)
Umm and THIS is an obviously necessary addition:
Tumblr media
•••••
Jensen: “I haven’t needed any salt yet to ward off evil spirits in my home.”
Jared: “We totally sleep with salt guns. He lies.”
•••••
Interviewer: “Nerds or lady-killers?”
Jensen: “Nerd!”
Jared: “Also nerd.”
Jensen (on females who are into them): “It’s flattering, but not something we concern ourselves with.”
(because they’re gay and also husbands, but...you know)
•••••
Jared (on possible work-opportunities outside of SPN): “We always make those kinds of decisions together.”
Jensen: “We don’t begrudge each other those kinds of projects, even though we call each other often to talk about how relaxed we actually have it on the set of SPN.”
(certainly not because they’re too codependent to make it through something like that without talking constantly on the phone or anything)
Jared (on working with Jensen again after or even during SPN): “In other words, soon you might be able to book us as a duo!”
(I’m having a memory now of least this one particular segment being posted, and I’m going to repeat the exact same thoughts: this always sounds so much like an engagement hint to me. 😜)
•••••
Interviewer (lightning round): “Hair color?”
Jensen: “I think I’m naturally like a dark blondish.”
Jared: “Okay, Ken.”
(OMG, guys, another one that needs to be added to the ‘things-the-Js-have-called-each-other’ post. But also, does that make Jared Barbie? Hehe)
Tumblr media
•••••
Interviewer (lightning round): “Other person’s best qualities?”
Jared: “Great ass!”
Jensen: “Gorgeous laugh and smile!”
Jared: “He’s a great guy, a good listener…and he’s ungodly faithful.”
(the “ungodly faithful” thing is my absolute favorite)

Interviewer (lightning round): “Other person’s worst qualities?”
Jensen: “Oh god, here we go.”
Jared: “He is such a control freak!”
(first, how much more husbandly could they POSSIBLY be?? Second, an alpha Jensen reference! Be still my heart. ❤️)

Jared (his favorite book): “The Great Gatsby.”
Jensen: “You’re such a girl.”
(heh 😏)
•••••
Jared (on their favorite movies): “[Jensen’s] really in love with Clint Eastwood.”
Jensen: “He’s the best!”
•••••
Jared (answering for Jensen, favorite music): “-country.”
Jensen: “Yes, country.”
Jared: “I like country, but Jensen loves country. There’s nothing like being woken up at 4:00 in the morning to Taylor Swift.”
(the official end of the above sentence is “-blasting from the trailer next to yours,” but I feel like Jared totally just phrased it that way to ‘un-suspicious’ his answer)
Jared (continuing, to Jensen): “You love Taylor Swift!”
Jensen: “I know I do.”
Jared: “And here I was calling you a manly man earlier.”
(Me: *below*)

Do tell, Jared!

Interviewer: “Main ambitions?”
Jensen: “I want to be as good of an actor as I can possibly be, keep my private-and-family-life private, and put up with this one over here. (…)”
Jared: “(…) I want to be very thankful and appreciative and never let any of it get to my head.”
Jensen: “You won’t. I’ll keep you grounded.”
Jared: “I know. I’ll always have that to rely on.”
(Sooo many examples in this interview of the Js either literally talking about being together forever or pretty much literally talking about it: “I’ll always have that to rely on.”)

A couple of other favorite bits that didn’t make it in above:
Jensen (about Jared preparing to film a certain scene): “He’d been working out for weeks...with good results!”
(admiring those muscles, eh Jensen? 😉)
•••••
Jensen: “I prefer to keep away from the red carpet world of Hollywood and avoid the paparazzi.”
(because it ties into Jensen’s last answer about keeping his private life private)
•••••
Jensen (to Jared): “You sound like an extendz commercial, like you’re the ‘larger man.’”
Jared: “Well, if you want to put it that way…”
(*smirks*)

And I accidentally deleted this answer from above while editing:
Jared (after Jensen told the Jared-ripping-his-pants story): “I’m really thinking hard about an embarrassing story to tell about you right now, but I can’t think of any that wouldn’t get me into trouble.”
(at least half of the stories in Jared’s head were dirty in nature or revolved around dirty moments, let’s be real)
