Luke meditates on the force and his relationship.
🌕 🌖 🌗 🌘 🌑 🌒 🌓 🌔 🌕
Masterlist
It was not an uncommon sight to find Luke meditating. Usually he would meditate in the most strange places and someone would walk in. Some of the time it would be Leia, Han, or Chewie; but nowadays it was mostly YN. She was constantly around Luke, which was to be expected since they were together, but it was more like Luke would place himself in the general area of where YN would be. YN would be quiet and try to step around Luke while he was meditating, maybe saying a few words or touching his hair.
Today was no different. Luke was meditating in his and YN’s room. R2 was to the side letting out several quiet beeps. R2D2 could be quieter than Threepio’s frantic worrying. Eventually YN would come in and would probably start talking to R2. The door made an opening sound and Luke heard soft footsteps coming in. YN quietly walked around Luke and subtly touched his hair, stroking his blonde fluffy hair. Luke had his eyes closed but he could tell YN had gotten in front of R2 and probably sat down.
“How long has he been at this R2?” YN whispered.
“You could ask me, you know.” Luke teased.
“Excuse me, you’re supposed to be reaching some kind of enlightenment or connection to the force. Get on that.” YN teased back.
Luke opened his eyes and relaxed his hands, smiling at YN who turned to him. “I don’t just try to gain some connection to the force. Sometimes I just need to reach peace. You could try to do it with me.”
YN scooched closer to Luke till both their knees touched each other as they sat criss-cross across from each other. She smiled at him and he returned the smile.
“That’s the difference between us. I don’t need to have a connection to the force to get peace. I have my own way.” YN sighed.
“How do you reach it?”
“I just need to be around you.” YN got up and sat in Luke’s lap resting the back of her head against the front of his shoulder. “Right now I’m perfectly at peace in your arms. Or when I;m around R2 cause he’s my favorite.”
“I’m wounded at that comment. I thought I was your favorite.” Luke laughed and kissed the top of her head.
“Well you were wrong. R2 is everyone’s favorite.” YN smiled and laughed at R2’s response. “Now go one, Luke. You can go back to meditating. Find some peace with me here impeding on your meditation.”
Luke kissed the top of her head again and sat back up closing his eyes again trying to find some peace in the force. The air got quiet again, and he listened to the beeps from R2 and the small quiet breaths from YN. He imagined the force surrounding them and enveloping them in a blanket of warmth. He knew this was the person he would want to be with for the rest of his life. That it was okay to have this attachment, and that one day he would let her go too. One day his favorite attachment would no longer be here and that was okay, cause he had this time with YN now, even during this fight against the empire.
“I love you. “ He whispered.
“I love you too.” YN whispered back and reached her hand up to touch his cheek.

Me, explaining to absolutely anyone who will listen that the Rebellion always rhymes, specifically the parallels between Ezra and Luke, and Sabine and Leia - two sets of siblings who lose everything in a war that they never asked to fight at the age of 19/20.
Star Wars always echoes, like a broken fracture from a cacophony of stories that all end the same, in the destruction of worlds by the Empire.

Fandom: Star Wars
Day 18 Prompt: "We can't do this on our own."
Summary: Leia's feeling overwhelmed at the prospect of taking on the Empire, but her SO is there to remind her that none of them are in it alone.
Word Count: 1,181
Category: Angst, Fluff
Putting work into an AI program without permission is illegal. You do not have my permission. Do not do it.
"I need a minute."
Blearily, I raised my head from my work, blinking in confusion as my girlfriend marched out of the room. Her voice had shaken me out of my haze of combing through paperwork, and now I could see her shoulders up by her ears as she walked away.
I glanced around, but no one else in the room seemed particularly worried. They probably assumed the smart, courageous Princess Leia Organa just needed to grab a report she'd remembered that might be helpful, or some more caf, or even a bathroom break.
I, however, knew her better than that. Leia had been my best friend for years, and we'd been dating for a while now, too. I knew the subtle changes in her tone, the unusual tension in her shoulders, all amounted to something definitely, definitely wrong.
I stood from my own desk in the small headquarters of the Rebellion, trying not to draw too much attention to myself. We were all exhausted, especially after being forced to do damage control on a few bad breaks we'd gotten in a row, so no one gave me a second look as I left.
I followed Leia down the familiar hallways, coming around a corner just in time to see her duck into her quarters. I frowned and picked up my pace a bit.
I stopped outside Leia's door, knocking quickly and speaking at the same time.
"Leia? It's me. Can I come in?"
I waited, holding my breath when I only got silence in response. Then, a moment later, I heard the door unlock from the other side. I didn't hesitate to push it open.
Leia had her back to me, and was already returning to sit on the end of the bed, her shoulder leaning against the wall. I quickly shut the door behind me, since I knew she wouldn't want anyone to see her like this, least of all members of the Rebellion.
"What's wrong?" I asked, crossing the room carefully to sit beside her on the bed. She wouldn't look at me, just stared ahead with her arms crossed over her chest and her jaw clenched tight. Leia hated to cry, but I could tell she was holding back tears.
I didn't push her, just waited patiently, resting my shoulder gently against hers. I knew she'd tell me in her own time, and until then, I resolved to be completely and totally here for her.
"We lost six of our best pilots last week," she finally said, her voice hoarse and gravelly. She didn't break her blank stare at the wall. "A few days after that, operating on bad intel, we lost two spies undercover in the ranks of the Empire. Yesterday, an agent went into town on a supply run and went back to his base without realizing the Empire had picked up his trail. He led them right to the doorstep, and we lost the entire base."
I pursed my lips together, trying to fight my own negative reaction to her summary as I wrapped an arm around her shoulders. I knew we'd caught some bad breaks lately, but having it all laid out like that emphasized just how bad our last week had been.
"Everything we've accomplished, every bit of progress we've made, is at risk of coming crumbling down around us," she continued. "And I'm failing everyone. I haven't been able to stop it and I haven't been able to fix it. No matter what I do, we keep losing ground. I- I don't know how I'm going to make this Rebellion succeed."
I sighed, pulling Leia a little tighter to me. From the tone of her voice, I knew that last part was what really bothered her. That she'd failed, that she hadn't been able to wave a magic wand and fix things. She always put too much on herself.
"In the wise words of someone I love very much, Rebellions are built on hope. If you let that hope die out, Leia, that's the only way to make sure the Empire wins."
Leia shook her head, and I could tell she was about to protest, but I continued speaking before she could.
"Besides, babe, it's not all on you. One person cannot succeed against something like the Empire, not alone. But when we lean on each other, work together, put our faith in each other? That's when real change happens. And the Empire can try to shake that faith as much as they want, but as long as we keep believing and inspiring people to fight back, then they have no chance. Not really."
"I want to believe you," she said, her voice still a little hollower than I'd ever heard it before. "But I feel so useless."
"Leia. We can't do this on our own." Any of the softness was gone from my voice, and I turned to face Leia, holding her shoulders so she had to face me too. "If you keep putting the entire galaxy on your back and yours alone, you will be crushed under its weight. This last week has sucked, but just like the victories, we will shoulder the failures together and come out stronger on the other side. It will not be easy, and the road will not be short, but we will stand shoulder to shoulder and get this done."
Leia stared at me for a long, long moment. The spark of fire that I normally saw in her eyes had dimmed, but I made sure she could see it in mine. Leaning on each other meant staying strong when one of us was weak, and vice versa, so I did. I did not take my eyes away once, willing the fire and determination she'd first instilled in me to be rekindled in her.
Finally, after what felt like forever, Leia's head dipped in a small nod. The fire still wasn't burning anywhere near as bright as it normally did, but it had been replaced with a steely determination mirrored in the set of her jaw. She held my eyes for another few moments, then leaned forward quickly and kissed me, hard.
I kissed her back, my heart soaring, but she pulled away almost as soon as she'd leaned in. She gave me a small smile, the mischievous glimmer of a plan staring back at me, and I knew my Leia was back.
"Thank you, Y/N. I'm... I'm happy I have you to go through this with."
"Right back at you, babe."
She squeezed my hand and then stood, pulling me to my feet with her. She grinned, tugging me along with her towards the door to her room.
"Come on. Let's get out there and find a way to clean up this mess."
"Deal."
I slung an arm around her shoulders as we stepped into the hall, and then went back to the main workspace of the base side by side. Whatever else came our way, we would handle it. Together.

I’ve recently gotten closer to a group of girls in one of my classes and they’re super nice but I’ve been sat here trying to have a normal conversation where I don’t bring up Star Wars, my art acc or gaming and it’s HARD
Like oh yea I like this game rdr2 :)
Acting as if I like it a normal amount meanwhile in every conversation I’m suppressing the urge to talk about Arthur Dumbass Morgan and John Meow Meow Marston the fictional middle aged cowboys
Like oh yea I love Star Wars!
and then I become very aware of my Star Wars wallpaper or my silly little Obi-Wan Kenobi picture in the back of my phone or the fact that in the background of EVERY FaceTime is an A3 empire strikes back poster-
I love my interests but man oh man is my neurodivergent showing I’m probably known as the Star Wars/gaming girl of my year group 😭 😭

Do you ever feel overwhelmed by the sheer volume of Star Wars content
As I’ve slowly gotten back into the franchise I feel like theres just ENDLESS books, comics, movies, shows, games and it’s a lot-
Excluding legends and all that just sticking with the canon stuff filling in the gaps is never ending and then I see all the new things being announced faster than I can get through the old like MAKER THERE IS A LOT not to mention the quality of the new stuff varies heavily from project to project but that’s a post for another day
I’ve tried getting friends to watch the movies and they are reluctant to because it’s a time commitment / they feel as though there’s “homework” they have to do first to understand what’s going on and honestly I can’t blame them
Curious if anyone has been experiencing this, I love this franchise I really do and it’s definitely nothing as bad as the fatigue I’ve had with the MCU over the last 2 years but it’s something I’ve noticed enough to want to post about it lol

P.S. Fuck Off
Han Solo x Reader
Tumblr media
Masterlist - Join My Taglist!
Fandom: Star Wars
Summary: Y/N's one of the logistics-focused members of the Rebellion, a job no less important than any of the fighter pilots in the long term. They've gotten to know Han pretty well in the brief time that he's been around, so when Han leaves a resignation note intended for high command on their desk, they exercise their best judgement and don't pass it along, luckily for both of them.
Word Count: 1,479
Category: Humor, Fluff, maybe some minor angst if you squint?
Putting work into an AI program without permission is illegal. You do not have my permission. Do not do it.
I sighed as I sat down at my cramped desk in one of the many makeshift offices of the Rebellion. We were about to fly a last-ditch mission to try to blow up the Death Star, and still, I had to do paperwork. If we succeed, like we're planning and hoping to, then the papers still need to be in order. Just because Leia and my other colleagues were right didn't mean I had to like it.
I braced myself for all the supply reports I was about to try to organize, but stopped short when I saw a messy handwritten letter sitting on top of everything else. I picked it up and scanned to the bottom for a name, and found none other than Han Solo's signature at the top of a long P.S.
I sighed and shook my head, then went back to the top of the letter and started reading.
I don't know how the hell people usually do this, but consider it my official resignation from this stupid Rebellion.
I scoffed and rolled my eyes. Han was nothing if not dramatic.
I came here to get paid, not risk my neck for some impossible ideals I don't even believe in. I got my money, so now I'm getting the hell out. Good luck to all of you idiots, especially the kid.
Han
There was a big ink dot at the end of the "n" in Han's name, like he'd left the pen there and paused for a long time. I chuckled to myself as I read on.
P.S., I don't even know how I got dragged into this fool's cause in the first place. Bunch of idealistic idiots, that's all you are. And you're just gonna get yourselves killed. For what? For nothing. I wish I'd never gotten roped into any of this bantha shit. Half of you were probably expecting me to put something sappy in this, like "may the Force be with you", since you're flying against the Death Star. Well I'm NOT. You'd all be better off if you had more survival instincts and knew better than to go up against that thing. It's a suicide mission. You need all the help you can get.
The last letter and period quickly trailed off, like he'd forced himself to drag his hand away from the paper. Then, written in tiny print at the very bottom of the page:
P.P.S. Fuck off, all of you. And don't die.
I laughed to myself as I tucked the letter into a drawer of my desk. Han had been wrestling with his morals and realizing he still had them after all since he'd gotten here, and it had been truly adorable. I got the feeling this was all part of his process. He'd be back to help us, whether he knew it or not.
I spent the next hour scanning through as many documents as I could, getting an idea of everything we might need to know before our fighters made contact with the Death Star. Once I finished, I hustled to the control room, where Leia and I would monitor the mission with the rest of the top brass.
"Y/N. Anything we need to know?" asked General Dodonna. I shook my head.
"Nothing at all, General."
He nodded, then turned back to the screens in front of him as I took my spot next to Leia. We watched with bated breath as our fighters approached the Death Star, and then their attack run began.
I barely breathed for the entire duration of the attack. We lost some very good people, but by some miracle, Luke managed to take down the Death Star with a one-in-a-million shot. Han, as I'd expected, swooped in to save the day at the last possible moment. Hearing their victorious cheers over the radios made my heart soar, and I rushed to the hanger with everyone else at the base to welcome our heroes home.
The celebrations spilled into the hallway as the whole Rebellion converged on each other. I laughed, completely caught up in the joy of the crowd. I stumbled down a mostly-empty hallway, trying to get my head on straight again. We didn't have a whole lot of time to spare. The Empire knew where we were now, which meant we had to move, ASAP. Our success in destroying the Death Star would buy us some time, but not much.
I was also one of the key people involved in moving everything from one place to another, which meant I had to come back down to Earth a little sooner than everyone else.
Still, the smile didn't leave my face as I started heading down the hallway and away from the celebrations. I'd drink champagne the whole way to our new location, but until the last ship left the ground, I needed to be focused.
"Hey."
I turned around at the sound of an unusually-cheerful Han. He took a few stumbling steps towards me, a delirious grin on his face. I couldn't help smiling back at him as he approached.
"Hey there, flyboy. You look like you're feeling pretty happy to be back."
"I'm alive, so I guess I'd have to say yes."
"Oh no, don't give me that," I said with a grin as Han finally reached me. He stared at me with his hands on his hips, trying to play the cool guy, but this time he was not succeeding. "You could've gone almost anywhere in the galaxy and been alive. But you came back here."
Han sighed and ran a hand through his hair, a crooked grin still on his face as he looked at the floor. I smiled fondly, and when Han looked up, I didn't try to wipe the look off my face. He chuckled.
"So what, now that we all almost died you're not trying to hide it when you stare at me?"
I shrugged. "What can I say? Almost dying gives you perspective."
Han's eyes met mine again, and still, I didn't look away. The goofy smile slowly fell from his face as I took another step towards him, completely closing the distance between us and then leaning in. Slowly, Han wrapped one arm around my waist and pulled me tightly to him, then tangled the other in my hair. I swear my heart stopped dead as our lips finally met.
The kiss was soft, way softer than I ever thought it'd be with Han, let alone after a near-death experience like that. I loved every second of it though, and when we finally broke apart, I couldn't keep the dreamy smile off my face.
"I'm not gonna lie... I've been waiting a while to do that," laughed Han. He still held me close to him, and I hummed as I ran a hand through his hair.
"Well, as long as you're planning on sticking around, you'll be able to do it a lot more often."
Han grinned, then leaned in for another kiss. He broke away after a minute though and a gave me a sheepish look.
"I guess I'd better go talk to high command about taking back that resignation letter, huh?"
"Oh, come on, Han. Whether or not you want to admit it, I know you pretty well now. I never turned it in to them."
"...Really?"
"Yeah, really. I knew you'd be back."
"I didn't know I'd be back."
I just shrugged. "You probably did deep down, but that doesn't matter. I knew."
He laughed, wrapping his arm around me a little tighter. I leaned into him, laughing as he nuzzled into my neck and kissed me.
"Han, I have work to do."
"Work? Damn, I knew you were crazy, but not that bad."
"I'm serious. We have to get the hell out of here now that the Empire knows where we are."
Han sighed, then loosened his grip on me and straightened up. He fixed me with a look, and I raised my eyebrows while I waited for whatever he wanted to say.
"So, this whole... moving... thing... Need any help?"
"Really?"
Han sighed. "Yeah, why not? If I'm in I might as well be all the way in. As long as you don't give anybody that resignation note."
"I'm framing it and putting it on my wall."
Han rolled his eyes as he wrapped an arm around my shoulders. I chuckled, and we started wandering down the hallway towards my desk. We had a lot of work to tackle, but with Han by my side, it didn't seem quite so daunting.
If we could find a way to take down the Death Star, I knew we'd be able to handle anything else that came our way.
