While it at first it weighed heavily on her, the knowledge that five of the most powerful beings in the multiverse were with her instead of protecting all of reality, she couldn’t deny the thrill that also came with that.  Starker Fics (Tony Stark/Peter Parker)
Please note that Peter is an adult in all of these.
Tumblr media
This is What You Came For Mature, Complete
Mr. Stark has had enough of what he considers to be Peter's not-so-subtle hints that he wants to get f*cked. He decides to teach Peter a lesson.
An Absolutely Peerless Cure Dark!Tony – Mature, Complete
When Peter gets the hiccups while on patrol, Tony takes it upon himself to help rid him of the pesky problem. Sure, that Wikipedia article could be absolute horseshit, and sure, Dr. Strange had been tipsy when he agreed with it, but it's a risk Tony's willing to take in his quest to draw Peter closer to him.
…And Many More Mature, Complete
Tony has a surprise for Peter's birthday, putting a true Tony Stark spin on a long-standing wish that Peter's had. Because whether he's giving or receiving, Tony is always in charge. Not that Peter's complaining.
(Just to See How It Feels) Mature, Complete
It's late. Peter's tired and wants to sleep because he has a big exam in the morning. Tony's horny. So maybe he can convince Peter to let him put in just the tip. (It's never just the tip.)
Getting the Best Mature, Complete
Peter Benjamin Parker is a genius. A once-in-a-lifetime type of genius.
And the little prick has the nerve to be undecided, even with the promise of a full-ride to MIT.
Even Saints Into Savages Mature, Complete
The mission was supposed to be a cake walk. Get in, get the stupid mystic alien amulet, get home. So, they figured it was safe enough to bring Peter along. Only Rocket assumes something, and that assumption leads to an awkward situation for everyone involved. Tony'll do whatever it takes to save Peter. If only he didn't know that he'd enjoy it so damn much. (Aliens Made Them Do It)
Back to Where You’ve Never Been Mature, Work in Progress
In an alternate reality, Peter Parker is living out his dream of being Spider-Man and working as an intern for Stark Industries (and the Avengers!) under his hero, Tony Stark, before heading off to college.  For the most part, it's incredible.  Okay, the Avengers treat him like he's still a child, and Mr. Stark's not exactly the friendliest mentor. But still, it's good.
Except that recently, Mr. Stark's been in the worst mood and Peter finds himself the unwitting focus of the man's ire.  He tries to keep his spirits up and tell himself that it's not personal, that anyone in the lab would be a target, but when Mr. Stark kicks him out, Peter knows he's done.
Then he finds himself falling for what feels like an eternity before returning to New York.  Only it's not his New York City and the Iron Man he ends up fighting alongside is definitely not his Iron Man.  Anthony Stark is kind of perfect.  The Other Avengers are kind of perfect.  Everyone here seems to love him.  And when he and Anthony are tapped by Dr. Strange to help seal the rift between realities, Peter finds himself wondering if he was supposed to be in the reality with Anthony all along.  (AU of an AU)

SpiderStrange Fics (Peter Parker/Stephen Strange)
Please note that Peter is an adult in all of these.
Tumblr media
One in Fourteen Million, Six Hundred and Five Dark-ish!Stephen – Mature, Complete
Stephen doesn't have time to admire Peter as much as he'd like, given that they're trying to stop total Armageddon. This is the fate of the universe at stake; his attraction doesn't really have a place here. But even still...
("Oh, we're using our made-up names? Ok, I'm Spider-Man.")
Something about this stupidly brave and chatty guy intrigues him.
Now That I’ve Found You (I Won’t Let You Go) Dark!Stephen – Mature, Complete
All Stephen wants is for Peter Parker to be happy and safe... with him. When Peter rejects Stephen? Stephen doesn't take it very well. He'll just have to ensure that Peter realizes that Stephen is his future.
Only Of What’s Mine Mature, Complete
Peter wasn't expecting to find an Alpha so soon after turning 18. After all, many Omegas don't bond with an Alpha at all until they're in their mid-20s at least. But after everything on Titan and the Snap and then the Blip and Mr. Stark nearly killing himself to destroy Thanos once and for all, Stephen had taken an interest in Peter. And Peter, god help him, was just as taken with the Alpha. (A/B/O AU)
The (It’s Not Sex Pollen!) Powder of Prana Mature, Complete
Stephen warns Peter to be careful while exploring the Sanctum. Peter, naturally, doesn't listen. The Powder of Prana goes flying. And now Stephen finds himself the only person Peter trusts to keep him from dying. With sex. (Sex Pollen AU)
Private Practice Mature, Complete
Peter Parker's appointment with Dr. Strange doesn't go as he'd planned when the good doctor prescribes a certain medical procedure. (Medical Kink/Medical Play)
Yours to Break (But Always Mend) Mature, Complete
Peter’s tears had long since stopped, replaced by weak, hitched sobs sometime after what might have been the sixth or seventh blow. He couldn’t remember why snapping back at Stephen like a brat had seemed like a good idea. He couldn’t remember why breaking the rules in the first place - starting all of this - had seemed like a good idea. (Dom/Sub)
I Know the Storms Will Always Come (But I Still Love to Have You Around) Mature, WIP
After Endgame, Stephen returns from another dimension to find Peter's life threatened by Quentin Beck's schemes. He undoes the damage and takes a struggling Peter into his care.
Peter needs time and a safe place to rebuild himself; Stephen's happy to provide that, even as he works to push aside the feelings he has. It's a tricky line to walk, setting boundaries and structure for Peter while imagining those same things in a very different context.
As Peter begins to come back to his usual self, personalities and wills clash, occasionally helped along by a certain Witch and a perpetually amused and exasperated Librarian. And Stephen finds that he can't plan for everything.
These Inconvenient Fireworks Mature, WIP
After a battle, Mr. Stark crosses a line with Peter. Peter, tired of being on the receiving end of Mr. Stark's anger, asks Stephen - who's witnessed everything - to take him away. In doing so, Stephen starts down a path with Peter he didn't see coming.
Alternatively: Peter's heart gets broken and Stephen helps put it back together.

It’s All Routine Mature, Complete
Peter Parker is back at Dr. Strange's office for a physical required by his upcoming internship. He's hoping it will be quick and easy, but when Dr. Strange finds out that he hasn't had a physical since he was a young child, his hopes are dashed. Dr. Strange intends to be very thorough. (Medical Kink/Medical Play)
You Kiss Your Sorcerer With That Mouth? Mature, Complete
During a mission, Spider-Man lets some choice words for Dr. Doom slip. Stephen's less than pleased at Peter's disregard for how he's supposed to conduct himself as Spider-Man when he's in the public eye. He gives Peter some time to think about what he's done, and has a creative way to ensure Peter thinks twice before doing it again. (Domestic Discipline)
Help Me Up, Let’s Keep On Running Mature, Complete
Peter and Stephen have several rules set up in their dynamic. The two biggest? That Peter will look after his health and well-being, and that they will always be honest with each other.
Peter manages to break both of them in one fell swoop, and Stephen is none too pleased.
Discussions are had, actions lead to consequences, and Peter emerges from the experience secure in the knowledge that Stephen will do whatever it takes to make sure he's cared for and loved. (Domestic Discipline)
I Can See The Man That I Fell For Fighting Mature, Complete
It was supposed to be a quick in and out job. Just into the study to grab his book he’d left in there by accident the night before, and then out before Stephen even knew he was up and about. Harmless.
It wasn’t his fault that Cloak decided it needed to follow him around like some overly nosy puppy. Or that Cloak decided it needed to join him in the study as he looked for his book. Or that Cloak had decided to apparently “guard” something in the study in way that just screamed suspicious and naturally piqued Peter’s curiosity.
In and out, no harm done.
But when it became clear that Peter was overstaying his welcome in the space, Cloak had also felt the need to snitch.
He’d really, really fucked up. (Domestic Discipline)
This Back's Not Going to Break So Easily - Part 1 of 2, This Back’s Not Going to Break So Easily - Part 2 of 2
Mature, Complete
When Peter comes to Stephen upset and insisting he needs to be punished, Stephen knows something's wrong. Given a chance to calm down and feel safe, Peter explains what happened while he was at the Tower working in the labs and interrupted by Harley. Stephen reassures Peter that he did nothing wrong and does his best to comfort him.
Also featured: Stephen confronting Tony and Harley like a boss, Peter and Stephen's love, trust, and mutual respect for each other, lots of fluffy/dirty teasing, and pizza. (Domestic Discipline)
And I Let the Knots of Time Come Undone Mature, Complete
After breaking one of their established rules, Stephen finds himself at Peter's service for the day. Tasked with his least favorite chores, Stephen tries to maintain his sanity and make it through, all while reluctantly admitting to himself that all things considered, he's getting off easy.
If only he could get rid of that damn bell... (Domestic Discipline)
Our Road Gets Better With Every Bend Mature, Complete
Peter's getting ready for his junior year at Columbia. But before he goes back to school, there's the matter of his 21st birthday to deal with. Which is inevitably going to affect The Rules he and Stephen have. And what should be a nice night out for Peter's birthday takes a bit of a detour when a former acquaintance from Peter's freshman year unexpectedly runs into the happy couple.
Stephen's not jealous. No, not one bit. (Domestic Discipline)
Maybe If I Hold You Close, Baby We Could Just Let Go Teen, Complete
While the idea of accompanying Stephen to the high-brow fundraisers and charity galas seemed glamorous at first, Peter found the reality turned out to be much more disappointing. Everyone looks down their nose at him; people are forever swarming Stephen and flirting with him; and Peter usually finds himself alone, bored, counting the time until they can leave. However, he keeps attending in the hopes that he'll finally get a chance to dance with Stephen like he'd imagined.
One night he gets to dance with a surprising friend, which may finally lead to a bit of happiness at the damned events going forward.
Or Stephen might take issue, if another friend doesn’t take it upon herself to give him a clue. (Domestic Discipline)
I'm Counting On A New Beginning, A Reason For Living Mature, Complete
Peter's been in a bad mood and his recent stretch of bad luck isn't helping matters. Stephen hasn't been able to get through to him, and even when Peter takes his punishments for acting out, something's off. Worried about his partner, Stephen tries to think of what it is he might have done wrong. Upset, Peter pulls away.
It takes a bad set of prototype arrows, saving someone's life, a friend snitching, a stern Dr. Palmer taking control of a situation, a very un-teamlike spying session, and an uncomfortable discussion or two before Stephen and Peter are back on the same page. (Domestic Discipline)
Man, What Are You Doing Here? Mature, Complete
He only had one final left to take... and then he was done with everything until the fall semester of his final year as an undergraduate. Since his final wasn’t until Thursday afternoon, he didn’t see the harm in going out with some friends to celebrate and cute loose on Tuesday evening.
Would he have chosen a bar? No. He wasn’t supposed to drink on school nights and honestly, he preferred going to the movies or a show. But he was in college and honestly, it wasn’t like it needed to be a big deal.
And it wasn’t like Stephen needed to know. (Domestic Discipline)
Cold Comes From the East Side (Ch. 1)(Ch. 2)(Ch. 3) Mature, WIP
Peter breaks one of the rules in a spectacular way and suffers the consequences. It's rare for Stephen to actually be angry with him, but given the circumstances, Peter supposes the anger is more than earned. It's a hell of a situation for the pair of them and Peter wonders if they'll actually make it through. (Domestic Discipline)
Published Chapter 3 on 14 August 2023
Goodbye Grey Sky, Hello Blue Mature, WIP
In an alternate universe where trains and zeppelins are still common forms of travel and the internet and cell phones exist, Peter Parker has few options left after he's swindled out of his inheritance. Unable to pay for college, let alone keep the house left to him by his deceased aunt, he's running out of time before he's out on the streets. Desperate, Peter signs his life over to the Bureau of Civic Spousal Selections to take his chances as the selected husband of a complete stranger. After all, he only has to make it through a year and then he can choose to annul.
Dr. Stephen Strange has little interest in marriage, preferring to focus on his career. When his career is threatened by what a nosy board of directors considers a "lack of personal fulfillment and settling down," he opts to select a spouse through the BCSS and chooses Peter Parker. The young man's profile suggests intelligence and compatibility. It's not ideal, but if after a year it's not working out, he can always annul the marriage and send Peter on his way.
It's a marriage neither truly wants, with sharp learning curves for both. It's either going to be forever or it's going to go down in flames. (Domestic Discipline, 1950s-Modern Fusion AU)

Peter finds himself once again in Dr. Strange's office, hoping to find a reason and a cure for his latest ailment.  He's come to the right place, since Dr. Strange will do everything it takes to diagnose and treat Peter. Hopefully, Peter will survive the embarrassment. (Medical Kink/Medical Play)

Peter would like to think he’d grown a thick skin over the past four years.
You could say it was a requirement for dating Tony Stark.
During those first few months he’d been coached by the Stark Industries’ PR team, as well as the man himself, over how to deal with the media and the public. He knew that there would always be tabloids stirring up trouble. Peter himself had been the centre of three supposed scandals himself during the past year alone. He knew that they flat-out lied and embellished the truth.
He’d learned long ago to ignore the headlines.
He and Tony were happy together. They had been from day one and Peter didn’t need other people getting in the way of that.
Of course, Peter was aware of Tony’s past. Tony was notorious for his playboy antics. The genius was capable of many things but holding a steady, long-term relationship had never been one of them. Until Peter.
Before Peter, Tony had been a self-proclaimed man-whore, working his way through a string of partners each weekend. But that had all changed when they started dating. Tony was attentive. He would always make time for him. He was open and honest, and Peter had never been happier.
Until a month ago.
With seemingly no cause, Tony had grown distant. He began working longer hours and didn’t want Peter in the lab to tinker while he completed SI projects. Tony would lock himself away in his office for hours at a time. He’d claimed to be heading out to meet up with Rhodey on multiple occasions, but Peter had bumped into Rhodey at the Compound and the colonel had mentioned not seeing Tony in almost three weeks since the man had been so busy.
Peter tried not to jump to conclusions, but Tony was lying to him, and he didn’t know why.
Despite his internal turmoil, Peter liked to think he could be quite level-headed, and he knew he shouldn’t read the tabloids in the first place, but all it took was one headline with an accompanying picture, and he found himself in the back of an Uber on his way to May’s apartment, the stupid article laying open on his phone as he fought back tears and tried to ignore the drivers staring.
Tony Stark spotted entering apartment of unknown male – Does this spell the end of the nations beloved Starker?
Below the headline was a grainy picture that clearly showed Tony walking with a younger, blonde man, his hand on the youngers lower back as they entered an elevator. Tony was in the suit he’d been wearing that morning when he claimed to be going out for brunch with Happy and Rhodey – neither of whom were anywhere in the photo. To make it worse, he’d also passed Happy when he was leaving the Tower. The head of security had been keeping his usual visual over the lobby. Peter had quickly turned his head before the man could talk to him, not wanting him to see the tears blurring his eyes.
Stepping out of the Uber, he felt multiple heads turn his way as he quickly made his way into the apartment building. Adam from the second floor started trying to offer his sympathies before Peter rushed past him on the stairs to get to May’s before he completely fell apart.
It took him three tries to get his key in the door, but it meant as soon as the door was open, May was already on the other side, quickly pulling him in for a hug as he kicked the door shut behind him. As soon as his head hit May’s shoulder, the sobs he’d been holding back were let loose. His shoulders hitching as he gasped for breath, May’s hand rubbing soothing circles into his back as she muttered reassurances.
Peter’s not sure how long they stood there but eventually his sobs began to subside, and May led him to the couch while she moved to the kitchen to get them some tea. Once they were both curled up on the couch and nursing their teas, a heavy silence fell over them. Each lost in their own thoughts.
Of course, it was in that silence that Tony would decide to call. Peter’s phone lighting up with a picture of Tony when he’d fallen asleep in the lab. The picture that just an hour ago would have brought a smile to his face now caused a lump in his throat. Declining the call, Peter put his phone on silent before sliding it onto the coffee table face-down.
“What am I supposed to do, May?” he asked, ignoring the way his voice cracked. “I thought we were happy, but he’s been so secretive recently. Do you think it’s been going on the entire time? His– His affair?”
Taking the tea out of his hands, May guided him to cuddle into her side and pressed a kiss to his forehead.
“I don’t know, Peter. We don’t know what’s even happening, but we’ll figure it out. You’re not in this alone. And none of this is a reflection of you, okay? It might not even be what you think. You know the tabloids are a shit news source.”
“Yeah, but whoever that guy was, was clearly not Happy or Rhodey. Why lie about it if he’s not doing something he shouldn’t?”
“I don’t know,” May sighed. “I really wish I had a better answer for you, baby.”
“It’s okay… Can I stay here tonight?”
“Of course, you know you’re always welcome here. What do you say I order some Thai, we put on a movie and have some ice-cream for dessert?”
“Sounds good,” he replied, grabbing a tissue to blow his nose while May phoned in their order.
Grabbing his phone, he swiped passed the notifications of the six missed calls and ten texts from Tony, to respond to Ned who wanted to check on him. Given he wasn’t really sure how he was feeling, he kept it vague and just let his best friend know he was safe with his aunt, and he’d call him in the morning.
Once May returned to the couch, Peter had already queued up the first of the Star Wars movies, hoping to lose himself in the familiarity of the original trilogy. Curling up together on the couch, they only moved to get the food from the delivery driver and to then switch out the takeout containers for tubs of ice cream.
XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
Peter must have fallen asleep at some point during the third movie, as the last thing he remembered was Luke being taken to the Emperor. Blinking into the dim light of the living room, he tried to work out what had woken him.
He didn’t have to think for long.
May was at the door. Squinting at the clock, he froze. Who would be at the door at three in the morning?
“I already said no,” May whispered. “You’re not going to change my mind.”
“Please, May,” a voice begged. Peter gripped onto the blanket tighter. He knew that voice and it made him want to cry. “I don’t know what you read, but you have to know that’s its not true. You know me! I wouldn’t–“
“What I know,” May interrupted him. “Is that my kid is heartbroken and confused. You’ve been lying to him for who knows how long, and he had to learn about it from an article?”
“I–“
“I’m not done. I know you’re a busy man, that you have to work long hours or go away on business trips. Hell, I’d even understand if you have some top-secret government bullshit going on, but you don’t lie to my boy, Mr. Stark.”
“It’s not like that–“
“Oh, really? So please, pray tell, who is the blonde boy in the photo? Is that Rhodey or Happy, because unless they’ve changed their look in the past month I think you were clearly lying.”
“He’s– May, I was going to come to you, I swear. It wasn’t supposed to happen like this. But the man in the photo? That’s Randall. He’s a jeweller. A bespoke jeweller. He’s been designing me an engagement ring. We were going to his private workshop to see the final piece. It’s… God, it’s perfect and I was going to come by tomorrow for you to see it and to ask your blessing and then at the weekend I…Please, May. You have to believe me,” Tony begged.
Peter sucked in a breath as he realised he’d been holding his breath while listening to their hushed conversation. Neither of them was aware he was listening in on them. He didn’t know what to think. Tony sounded genuine. He sounded on the verge of tears if his ragged breathing and rough voice were anything to go by.
Grabbing his phone, he hid it under the blanket before checking his messages. His phone had been inundated with missed calls and a wall of texts from Tony. The messages themselves growing more frantic the longer he went without a response.
Tony’s explanation would certainly make sense, but was he simply being naïve?
In recent months, Tony had talked more openly about settling down, that’s what had made the perceived betrayal that much harder. Was it possible that this was all one big misunderstanding?
“It’s not my place to believe you, Tony. Even if you had the best of intentions, you fucked up. Peter is his own person and if that’s truly how you feel then its entirely up to him. For what its worth, before today I’d say go for it. After your stunt this morning, I’m angry that your desire to keep it a secret hurt my boy, but if – and I mean if – he decides to forgive you, then so will I.”
Tony exhaled loudly as if he’d been holding his breath for May’s verdict. Like a prisoner walking to the executioner’s block and awaiting his sentence.
“Thank you, May.”
“Now, it’s the middle of the night and Peter is sleeping so go home. He’ll still be here in the morning if you want to try talking to him then.”
“Okay. I will. I promise I’m going to make this better. I–”
Before Peter could even think about what he was doing, he found his feet carrying him to stand behind May. Tony cut off whatever he was about to say in order to stare at him, which also drew his aunts’ attention.
“Peter,” May exclaimed. “I’m so sorry, did we wake you? He was just–“
“I, uh, I’ve been up for a bit…” he shrugged self-consciously, suddenly nervous to admit he’d been eavesdropping.
Tony’s face fell, as he bashfully asked, “So, you heard me when I said who the guy was?”
Huffing a humourless laugh, he nodded.
“Oh,” Tony breathed, suddenly looking very unsure of himself. “Okay.”
“Why don’t we all just get some rest and start fresh in the morning, huh?” May asked, her eyes wide and slightly manic from the odd hour and the emotional charge in the air.
“I, um, I’d actually rather hear what Tony has to say?” Peter mumbled, taking a deep breath before meeting Tony’s eye. “Do you want to come in?”
“Of course. Yes. Please. Yeah. I mean, if it’s okay?” Tony glanced at May and waited for a nod before he stepped into the apartment and closed the door behind him.
Staring pointedly at his aunt who was making no move to leave the pair alone, Peter rolled his eyes before guiding Tony into his bedroom. Closing the door behind them, he was aware of the tension in Tony’s shoulders as the man stood stiffly with his back to the window. Peter couldn’t tell which one of them was more nervous.
“I’m sorry for–“
“I’m sorry that–“
They both froze when they started speaking at the same time, chuckling quietly at the following awkward silence.
Exhaling through his nose, Peter took a step forward.
“I’m going to go first,” Tony nodded his agreement but watching him warily as Peter continued. “I’m sorry that I jumped to conclusions. I know better than to believe the stupid tabloids, but you’ve been so flaky this past month that I just assumed the worst. That’s not fair on you. Regardless of what I thought was going on, I should have asked you about it. I should have talked to you and instead I reacted and then ghosted you. You didn’t deserve that.”
“It’s okay,” Tony was quick to reassure him. “I mean, yes, it hurt. But I could have handled it all so much better. I should have realised that you weren’t happy and that me wanting to surprise you wasn’t worth me losing your trust. I, urgh,” Tony groaned, dragging his hands across his face. “This is not how it was supposed to happen, but obviously the cat is now out of the proverbial bag. I’m sorry for keeping it all a secret and being an inconsiderate jerk this past month. But as you now know, I was working with Randall – who you would love by the way – to design an engagement ring. There were lots of back and forth emails and calls over design ideas and then I wanted to incorporate some of my mom’s diamonds into it – which I know sounds corny, and I’m not exactly the sentimental type, but I thought you’d like it and I, well, can’t say I mind the idea of it. But anyway, my point being, that all of that secrecy led to today where I finally got to see it in person and well–“ Tony took a shaky inhale as he dropped to one knee, his hand pulling out a black velvet ring box and holding it out to Peter as he opened it, “–Peter Benjamin Parker, will you do me the absolute honour of being my husband? I promise I may not be perfect, but I will spend everyday of the rest of my life ensuring that you know how important you are to me.”
Peter didn’t know what to say.
The ring was gorgeous. The perfect blend of masculine and feminine, delicate enough to not look gawdy but still impressive. There was no doubting, however, that a billionaire had been involved in the design. Dragging his eyes from the ring, he was met with Tony’s vulnerability.
Peter knew without a doubt that Tony had probably planned some big proposal. That he’d have had it all organised and pulled out all the shots. He’d never have wanted to do it like this. So bare and simple, but to Peter it was perfect. Nothing to distract them from the moment.
It wasn’t until Tony swallowed unsurely, his eyes crinkling in concern, that Peter realised he still hadn’t responded. Hadn’t given any indication of a possible answer.
Instead, he stood frozen with a hand covering his mouth. He couldn’t remember the last time he’d been on such an emotional rollercoaster over a twenty-four-hour window. When he’d woken that morning, he’d been worried about Tony’s recent behaviour and had tried to convince himself he’d been overthinking things, but after he read the article, he’d practically fallen apart. He’d been distraught in his belief that Tony could cheat on him. It had felt like his world was ending and his chest was going to break open when he’d curled up on his aunt’s couch searching for comfort. The relief that seeped into his bones at hearing Tony’s explanation had left him feeling lighter than air, and now, with his boyfriend on his knee in front of him, asking for his hand in marriage, he didn’t even have the words to describe the feeling. He felt like a helium balloon ready to burst, that if he opened his mouth the only sound to escape would be a high-pitched squeal. He simultaneously wanted to jump up and down and shout to the world while also launch himself into the man’s arms.
Sucking in a steadying breath, he allowed his hand to slowly drop to his side, before hesitantly nodding his head.
Things weren’t perfect between them, but they never would be. There would always be another problem. Another bump in the road. It was the nature of relationships. They were messy. People were messy. But if today had taught him anything it was that he wanted Tony to be by his side for all the twists and turns they would face.
He wanted to face them together.
If he wanted to wait until they had the perfect relationship to get engaged, then he’d be waiting his entire life.
Tony’s lips twitched into the start of a smile, “Is that a yes?”
Knowing there was no other answer that he could possibly give, Peter couldn’t contain his shout of yes before finally giving into the urge to launch himself into Tony’s arms. Knocking the man off balance, they both crumpled to the floor, locked in each other’s arms.

Note
heating goes out in stark tower so peter and tony have to huddle for warmth together with angst and fluff due to the fact peter cant thermoregulate please
Sorry it’s not a fic fic. SFW!
x
Peter says he’s the one with bad luck, but Tony’s luck is infamous. The backup power system is due for regularly scheduled updates between 2AM to 3AM. Despite checking for weather patterns that evening, a late-night thunderstorm takes a southern turn at the last moment. Lightning strikes the tower, and the power goes out.
The main doors won’t even open, nor the ones to the lower parking garage. It’s his own fault for creating a security system that would shut the Tower up tighter than a Venus fly trap at the first sight of tampering, even if that tampering came from Mother Nature herself.
Tony goes to fix it because who else could? Systems are fried, and even after hours of effort, he’s barely made progress. He’s going to have to go out on the roof to assess the damage more closely. 45 degrees is warm for fall in New York, but 1100 feet in the air, the wind whips the collar of his jacket and stings his eyes—and the pouring rain doesn’t help.
He’s soaked to the bone when Peter finds him. Tony barely recognizes him beneath a comical amount of clothing layers. He looks ready for an Arctic expedition. At the sight of the kid (who is spending the break between college semesters at the Tower), Tony is relieved at first—an extra set of hands would be perfect. But one glance at the panicked brown eyes peeking out above a wool scarf tells Tony that something is very wrong.
“I’ve never told you this or anyone this because there’s never really been a need, I mean, the suit has built in heaters and anytime I’m too cold I just go inside or wrap up in one of those blankets MJ is always getting me for Christmas, but—“ “I appreciate the context but give me the abridged version, Pete, I kind of have a situation I’m trying to deal with.” “That’s just it, Mr. Stark.”
Who could have expected Tony to know that the only thermoregulation spiders are capable of is behavioral? Peter could bask in the sun—if it were out. He is already sheltering—but his shelter is growing colder by the minute.
“Blankets worked okay at first,” Peter says, watching Tony pace brainstorm in the penthouse. “But the sun has been down for hours and I’m so cold, Mr. Stark. I tried running, jumping jacks, but I’m not able to generate enough heat, and—look.” Peter holds up his hands and the fingers are white and bloodless.
Instinct makes him reach out and take Peter’s frigid hand between his own. Even though he feels cold too, he is blistering in comparison. Peter groans at the warmth, a pleasured sound that makes Tony’s stomach flip.
He lets go, reluctantly.
They spend the next twenty minutes brainstorming to no avail.
“We could start a fire? I see your expression, but it would be a very controlled fire. Surely I’m capable of—alright, you’re right. Fuck, kid. Maybe we need to just evacuate you. We can’t go out the front door, but you swing us somewhere warmer.”
“‘Kay,” Peter slurs from beneath the blankets where he has been silent for the last five minutes. He’s no longer shivering. “I’m g’na be late for school, though.”
Tony knows hypothermia when he sees it. If Peter’s cognitive functions are being affected, then his decreasing temperature is becoming dangerous.
Tony begins to peel off his wet clothes, hands shaking. It’s the cold he tells himself, not fear. Not terror that he could be watching Peter’s life slip away before his very eyes.
“I hope you can forgive me, kid, but we’re about to get closer than you—well, than you probably ever wanted to. You can hate me in the morning, at least you’ll still be alive.”
He scoops the kid up—Jesus he’s heavy, probably from being solid muscle—and takes him into the bathroom. The smaller the room, the easier it will be to keep warm. He fills the claw-footed tub with blankets and saves Peter for last.
The kid is too out of it to even acknowledge being unwrapped like the world’s most convoluted Christmas present. Tony leaves the kid’s boxers on, feeling like enough of a creep as it is.
Into the tub they go, Peter plastered against him back-to-front. Tony drags more blankets hastily pulled from his bed over them, tugs the kid’s hat down lower over his ears, and just holds him.
He ducks his head against the crook of Peter’s neck and just breathes, warm breath fanning over his skin.
Maybe he prays, though he’s maybe prayed a lot in his life, and he hasn’t seen much proof that anyone is listening.
When at last Peter’s entire body begins to shiver again, the relief Tony feels makes tears sting at his eyes. Beneath the blankets, he runs his hands up and down the kid’s arms, working to generate more friction. Eventually, the young man in his arms stirs.
“Wh’re are we?” Peter mutters at length, nearly causing Tony to jump out of his skin.
Tony laughs a sigh. Peter shivers harder for a moment, and maybe that isn’t all from the cold. “Bathroom. Enclosed space would help trap our body heat in. My body heat, I guess.”
Peter hums. “You’re so hot, Mr. Stark.” A moment of silence, then: “Oh my god, you’re warm. Warm. Not that you, I mean, you look great. Uh, Mr. Stark, are you naked?”
Tony blinks. “Body heat, best way to warm you up without burning down the tower.”
Peter clears his throat. His cool fingers wrap around Tony’s arm, pulling his embrace tighter. “I—guess we should stay like this then. Until sunrise, at least.”
“Probably. To be safe.”
“You know me, I’m all about safety, Mr. Stark.”
“Kid, for the love of god, call me Tony.”

Second Chance - Spring Fever Starker Exchange!
A/N: My oneshot entry for the spring Starker exchange, written for @kreket-popcorn-lover ! Please forgive any technicalities I may have gotten wrong story wise, think of it as I'm taking full creative liberty while obviously staying true to the ship. I've never written a fix it fic before, and I'm just so happy I got to write one for the exchange as a prompt. Please enjoy!
-
Events have clashed and the multiverse has dissolved into quite a mess, you’ll be going back now, Anthony Stark - back to your old universe. It’s how the web of fate must tangle.
Tony had no choice but to listen to every word Death told him. In the world beyond life, she was the goddess of everything, and every soul that left Earth and walked into her arms knew that her word was all.
But Tony wasn’t without his soul in the world beyond, so he asked Death, “Why? What’s-”
Before he could finish his sentence, a horrible pressure set on top of him, there was so much blinding light he thought he was next to the sun. The air around him howled like the eye of a storm, he lost his footing, all at once it felt like he was being ripped apart - and then it all stopped, leaving Tony feeling empty inside, but relieved. His eyes were screwed shut, and it dawned on him that he was laying down on the most uncomfortable surface in any world - a sidewalk.
Tony sucked in a horrified breath, jumping up and looking all around - his heart bursting with an insane mix of shock, disbelief, happiness, paralyzing reverence.
His mouth agape, Tony scrambled to his feet - albeit weakly. His knees were shaking on their own, as if he hadn’t walked for months. Thankfully, no one walking around seemed to pay any attention to him, typical for New York.
New York. A place that still ran through his veins, even when he was in the world beyond - not even dying could take it out of him.
Tony’s legs were steadying as his entire body seemed to come back to full working order, all as if he had never died. He looked down at his hand, the one that once bore the mock-up infinity gauntlet, and found it to be unmarred. All evidence of everything that had happened in the final battle with Thanos was missing from his body. The only familiar thing was his arc reactor, settled in his chest, glowing peacefully as it would any day before he died.
As he drew his first deep breath, panic started rising inside him, Death’s words haunting his thoughts. “Events have clashed and the multiverse has dissolved into quite a mess… it’s how the web of fate must tangle.”
The multiverse? What was going on with the multiverse where it made Tony come back to life?
Tony knew where he needed to go first for answers: the Sanctum Sanctorum. Tony started walking, doing his absolute best not to break down in the middle of the sidewalk, stumbling from bouts of dizziness. He expected to see New York start crumbling and burning around him, like all those years ago when aliens poured out of the sky, but everything seemed peaceful - a small comfort.
“Stephen,” Tony mumbled to himself, “please be there. You gotta be there.”
-
The sanctum looked as untouched by time as it did the first time Tony was alive. Tony pounded on the door, muttering “come on, come on!”
“Jesus,” Stephen spat as he opened the door, annoyance dying on his face as he laid eyes on Tony.
Tony swung his arms out stiffly, presenting himself, shaking his head. “You gotta help me figure out what’s going on, Stephen, please.”
“Come in,” Stephen said quietly, ushering Tony inside. He shut his eyes, rubbing his forehead. “Tony, God - not that I’m not happy to see you, but I need to apologize-”
“Apologize?! Stephen, tell me what’s going on! You did this? Where is everyone - where’s the kid?!”
“Tony, slow down, I’ll get to everything!” Stephen shouted, holding his hand out as if he could physically stop Tony’s words in the air.
“I was just… and now I’m… I’m back… I remember dying, and… everything worked out right? Thanos is done? Everything looks fine outside, but I’m here, so I don’t trust-”
“Tony, I know this is a lot, but I need you to slow down so I can explain everything to you, alright?” Stephen said in an even tone, leading Tony to the staircase and having him sit down on the cold marble.
Tony sat down, looking at Stephen as he tried to steady his breathing. “Stephen, I -”
“No, wait, let me explain things first, then you can ask anything you want. The… easiest way to say this is that I’ve cast a spell that… completely bled into the multiverse, which I had no intention of doing, it was beyond my control. The worst part about this is that the reason I cast the spell was because of Spiderman… but the exact reason is fuzzy. I’m thinking that the spell had to involve memories connected with Spiderman, because… I don’t know who’s behind the mask,” Stephen breathed out, shaking his head. “Every time I try to think of his face, nothing comes up. Is he the ‘kid’ you were talking about?”
“This is crazy,” Tony huffed, “Yes, and his name is Peter, Peter Parker. So I’m the only one on Earth right now who knows Peter is Spiderman? This is insane!”
“I don’t know what happened to make him wish away everyone’s memories of his identity, but whatever it was, it can’t be good. I wish I could give you more details, Tony, but you even telling me his name isn’t bringing anything up for me.”
“I have to find him,” Tony muttered, getting up from the steps, stumbling with the force he used. “I have to know that he’s ok.”
“Tony, you can’t-”
“I’ll put it this way,” Tony said, turning back briefly, “I’m gonna find Peter, and then you guys will get reacquainted.”
“Tony, stop!” Stephen yelled, trying to chase after him, but stopping in his tracks after he got past the entrance of the sanctum, looked both ways, and saw that Tony was nowhere to be found. “God help me,” Stephen muttered, closing the sanctum doors, although he prayed that Tony would come back - and in one piece.
-
“At least I know for sure that I came back to the same universe,” Tony said under his breath as he successfully keyed in the last code he remembered using to a hidden entrance he installed in Stark Tower ages ago.
Being dead - or rather, having died and then suddenly coming back to life - made everything about Tony’s mission to find Peter harder. No longer could he freely walk in the tower that he brought to life, now he had to sneak around like a traumatized James Bond to get to the technology he needed to locate Peter. Even though he couldn’t move at the time, Tony still remembered how Peter’s face looked as he lay dying, how badly he wanted to comfort him, tell him that everything would be ok, how each tear that ran down Peter’s face heightened his pain even more -
Tony shook his head, forcing himself to concentrate. If he slipped up and got seen, who knows what would happen - and tracking down Peter quickly would become a fantasy. He checked himself everywhere for a way to activate his suit - he had installed a prototype invisibility mode into it shortly before the first fight with Thanos - but to no avail. Gritting his teeth, Tony had to remember on the fly each of the security traps and measurements in the tower to avoid detection. He mostly stuck to the stairwell, and nearly reached his lab when he turned a corner and caught sight of her - Pepper Potts.
“No, that meeting got rescheduled, and last night we agreed on-”
“But Miss Potts!”
“I said what I said,” Pepper snapped.
Tony felt a powerful mix of pride and sadness seeing Pepper take on his old role so well. If he needed anyone to help him find Peter, it would’ve been Pep - but he knew that he’d have to save a reunion for much later.
When Tony finally reached the lab, he realized that he’d have to be quick - it was clearly still in regular use since his death, presumably by Pepper. Tony remembered overhearing that some meeting had been rescheduled, so the possibility of her coming here soon was sky high. He hurriedly accessed his supercomputer, relieved that the same password still worked.
“Welcome back, sir,” Friday’s voice spoke, sounding relieved.
Tony couldn’t hold back a smile. “Hey, Fri. Good to hear you again.”
“Shall I inform Miss Potts of your return?”
“Nope! Nope, absolutely not, it’s - not a good time yet, Fri. I need you to help me find Peter Parker first.”
“I… apologize sir, I’m finding very few records concerning Peter Parker. There’s hardly any details with which to confirm that he’s the one you’re seeking.”
“Give me everything you have, quick, I don’t think I have much time before Pep gets up here.”
“Yes, sir. I have a record indicating a library card in the area registered to Peter Parker-”
“More than likely him… any listed address, Fri?”
Friday relayed the address of the cheapest block of apartments in Queens. “Thank you,” Tony whispered, the possibility of seeing Peter soon filling him with nerves, “Thank you, Friday.”
“Your suit appears to be offline. I cannot accompany you, sir.”
“I know Fri, I know - look, I promise to come back for you later. Do not tell Pepper I’m back.” It broke Tony’s heart to leave Friday, too, but he knew he wouldn’t be at peace until he found Peter, and made sure he was safe.
Tony shut down the supercomputer, turning his head to check his surroundings, barely breathing. He made a beeline for the stairwell, inhaling sharply as he heard the lab elevator ding right as he reached the stairs.
-
Tony prayed that Peter would be exactly where Friday told him he’d be, and that this wouldn’t turn into a colossal waste of time. His heart was beating faster every second as he made his way through the maze of motel-converted apartments, lurching to a stop as soon as he laid eyes on the correct apartment number. He didn’t hesitate, knocking hard on the door.
“Peter!” Tony said loudly, knocking on the door twice, harder this time. Is he not home? Tony thought, looking past the blinds in the window. He was able to see dim light coming from a tiny desk lamp, so he had to be there-
The door opened. “I sent in rent on Thursday, Mr. Miller, I swear -”
Tony saw Peter’s face for the first time since the final battle with Thanos, the one  that claimed his life - and Peter was even more beautiful than Tony remembered him being. His heart stopped.
Peter stopped talking, taking a step back to fully look at Tony. His eyes widened, blinking rapidly as they filled up with tears. He stepped back further, harshly rubbing his eyes as he struggled to form words.
“-dreaming, Mr. - Mr. Miller - Tony?! Mr. Stark, you’re… are you real? Is it really you?!”
“Peter,” Tony began, his voice breaking from the emotion. “Yeah. It’s me.” Tony stepped towards Peter who barreled into him, holding on tighter than he did when the snap claimed him.
“Please be real,” Peter sobbed, pulling Tony inside of his dingy apartment. “Please be real, please be real,” Peter continued to sob, his fingers digging hard into Tony’s back.
“It’s ok, you’re ok, I got you,” Tony comforted, holding Peter firmly in his arms. He was overcome with an urge to kiss Peter’s hair, but the last thing he wanted - could bear - was to make Peter repulsed by him. But it felt amazing holding Peter close to him, to finally know that he was safe.
Peter pulled back to look at Tony, his face flushed from crying. “You… you remember me? Please say you remember me!” Peter clutched onto Tony’s shirt tighter, as if doing so would make his desperate wish come true.
“Of course I do, Pete!” Tony said, reaching behind him to shut Peter’s door, hoping that no one had heard them. “But - look, Stephen told me that something big happened with you. What happened? Tell me everything,” Tony demanded, putting his hands on Peter’s shoulders.
“But - this isn’t a dream, right? You’re really back? You gotta tell me what happened!” Peter exclaimed, blinking away more tears.
Tony could feel himself thinking with his heart and not with his head as he held Peter’s face in his hands with a gentle touch. “I… can’t really explain it myself. I was dead, and next thing I knew, I came back here - I was told I had to come back. All I’ve really put together is that it has something to do with the multiverse, and… a certain wish you made. Stephen told me a bit about it, but couldn’t explain everything - so that’s where you come in. I just need to know that you’re not in danger, Pete.”
“It’s - everything’s been so hard after you… left… everything just fell apart, Mr. Stark… everyone thought I was a murderer, I fought this guy, Mysterio, Mysterio told everyone who I was, before he died - he made it looked like I killed him, and then MJ and Ned couldn’t get into MIT because of me, there were people coming after me and May, everyone hated me, and it was a disaster,” Peter buried his head in Tony’s chest and started sobbing again. “I didn’t know what to do, so I made Stephen cast a spell to make everyone forget I was Spiderman, except for a few people.. I kept interrupting… and then I lost May, I had to start over, and now you’re here, and it’s definitely my fault, but I’m so happy because I needed you so much, Tony,” Peter cried, holding on to Tony so tight that he feared he’d hurt himself.
“Peter, I’m gonna do everything I can to help you, ok? Even if it just means getting you out of this dump -”
Peter giggled - the sweet sound was the best thing Tony had ever heard, even before he had died. “It was all I could afford,” Peter said, his voice more steady as he looked back up at Tony and smiled. “Well, we’re gonna fix that,” Tony promised, unable to stop himself from running his hand through Peter’s hair. “Although I might need some time, seeing as… everyone except you and Strange thinks I’m dead right now.”
“You can stay with me!” Peter said, taking hold of Tony’s hand with no hesitation, making Tony’s heart pound in his chest. “I know I don’t have much room here, but  I’m sure I can make it work, somehow, I still need to go grocery shopping this week, I’m really sorry, but-”
“Peter,” Tony interrupted, “you never have to apologize for anything. I die, I come back, and you’re still apologizing - even after all of this, you haven’t changed at all…” Tony looked directly into Peter’s beautiful, innocent eyes. “I don’t want you to change.”
Peter visibly blushed, averting his eyes to the floor, with a shy smile. Fuck, Tony thought, did I never notice how perfect he was before?
“Well, I have changed a bit, I’m sorry - shit, I gotta stop saying that -”
Tony wrapped his arms fiercely around Peter, stopping him mid-sentence. He gripped on to Peter as if holding him close would ensure that they’d never be separated again. Tony inhaled, shuddering, before whispering “I thought I’d never see you again, not until you died too - I’m so, so sorry for leaving you, Peter -”
“Tony,” Peter said, pulling back to look at him again. “You saved the world, you saved all of us, you sacrificed yourself, I just… I guess it makes me selfish, but I just didn’t expect you to -”
Every last bit of restraint that Tony had vanished, and the rush of pure love that coursed through him as he cut off Peter’s sentence with a loving kiss, taking Peter’s hand in his, but holding it with a gentleness that even he felt unfamiliar with. Barely a moment had passed before Tony felt Peter kiss him back, and he felt nothing but joy, pure elation - until guilt came crashing down on him, making him rip himself away from the boy he desired so much, cursing under his breath.
“I’m sorry,” Tony spat. “That was completely out of line, I’ll - show myself out. Please be safe, Pete.” Tony felt his heart sinking as he raced towards the door, ready to accept his fate of permanent shame, before he felt Peter clamp a hand on his shoulder and jerk him back around.
In a flash, Peter slammed Tony up against the wall, kissing Tony fiercely, mumbling “no” in between kisses. “Don’t leave, don’t go.”
Tony couldn’t help but give in, kissing Peter back, filled to the brim with passion, but shame overtook him once again, making Tony tear himself away. “No, Peter, this is wrong, I was wrong, I’m an idiot. I don’t know what I was thinking. You don’t know what you’re doing, you don’t really want this -”
“No!” Peter shouted, shaking his head. “No Tony, you don’t know how I really feel, you have no idea -”
Tony held Peter’s face in his hands again, firmly this time, holding eye contact. “Don’t just agree with what I want, just because it’s me. I need you to think for yourself, there’s no way we should be involved together -”
“Why don’t you believe me, Tony?! I’ve known how I felt about you for longer than I wanna admit, please, I’m begging - I thought I’d never see you again, please kiss me!”
“Peter, I swear to God, if you push me any more, I’m gonna -” Tony could feel himself break into a cold sweat, “I’m going to lose what frighteningly little control I have with you right now. I’m… older than you, to put it lightly, I don’t want to be the bastard to tie you down when you still have your whole life ahead of you,” Tony said, trying to fight back tears. “You mean so much to me, Peter.”
“I love you,” Peter said firmly, not taking his eyes off of Tony. “And I’m sorry about a lot of things, but I’ll never be sorry about being in love with you.”
Tony swore that he could physically feel all remaining hesitation and shame leave his body as he let himself go and kissed Peter with everything he had, every part of him feeling on fire with devotion. Tony finally broke away for long enough to shakily tell Peter “I love you, too.”
“We’ll start over together,” Peter said quietly, pressing his forehead against Tony’s. “I don’t care what we do, I don’t care where we go, as long as I’m with you - I can handle anything.”
It was in that singular, desperate, honey sweet moment that Tony realized the real reason why Death brought him back to life - it was so he could have this second chance with Peter, to have what he longed for most, to hold Peter, to be able to love him. He knew he would die and resurrect all over again, just to be able to love Peter without ever having to hold back.
“But first,” Tony began, kissing Peter once more, “there’s someone I promised to reintroduce you to.”

March's Patreon-exclusive story is up on Patreon!
Preview:
Soldiers came to Caersands in the spring, when the roads were passable again after a hard winter winter, and the rumblings of war with the island nation of Farshoal were kicking off in earnest.
At first, it had proved exciting to have company after company of soldiers — archers, infantrymen, even a small centaur cavalry-archer unit pf bonded riders and centaurs, and, lastly, an aerial squad with heavy, armoured griffins and nimble flying drakes. But after they had eaten the large sea port almost out of provisions, and caused scene after scene by getting drunk and rowdy, either with the locals or with each other during their off-duty hours, and making work for law clerks like you who had to file and process all the charges, attitudes towards them in the town began to sour.
Nobility saw them as little more than ruffians, and the traders and townsfolk found them a nuisance.
Tensions with neighbouring Farshoal put everyone on edge, and as the summer drew on and there was no sign of either diplomacy or open war, things showed no sign of improving.
Halfway through copying out the last document on your long list for the day, you glanced up when the door to your employer’s study opened, and the tall, imposing dragonborn lawyer stepped out. His long, spined tail dragged on the floor, and his usually bright, flaming orange eyes had a distinct dullness to them.
“Sir?” you asked with concern, setting down your quill. The enchanted lamp that threw steady, unwavering light around the small chamber cast the scales of his pearlescent body into starker relief than usual, and made the hollows of his eyes look deeper despite the gemstone orange of his eyes. “Everything alright?”
“Hm? What? Oh, yes,” he sighed, startling a little, as though he’d forgotten his clerk would still be out there. “Yes,” he said again, and wafted a piece of paper held delicately between his clawed fingers in your direction. “This was among the cases put on my desk today. The minotaur who allegedly attacked a group of civilians… A sad affair, I think.”
You nodded. You’d read through the summary earlier. A huge minotaur — and a soldier in the Queen’s army — had apparently gone into some kind of berserker rage and attacked a group of noblemen late at night. He had claimed it had been in defence of someone else, but the noblemen all denied it, and they never found the person he’d claimed to have been protecting. He’d been taken into custody and locked up in a cell in Caersands Castle, awaiting trial. “You don’t normally take criminal cases,” you said to Master Embershard. “Why did this get sent your way? And why isn’t it being dealt with by the military courts?”
“There are no other lawyers available to take it at the moment, and since the nobles are the ones pressing charges, it’s a civilian matter. Gods, I wish it was a simple case of property law, but as it is, I feel obliged to take it since everyone else has their plates full. Something doesn’t add up about this one though. We’ll talk to him tomorrow morning.”
Master Embershard ran a clawed hand over his muzzle and shook his head. The long, ivory horns with their rare, rainbow sheen glinted in the light, and the myriad of pale spines that ran down between them to emerge again at his tail, caught the light of the enchanted lantern. You didn’t know exactly how old he was, but you knew that the older a dragonborn got, the more thorn-like spines they acquired, and the sharper they got. Master Embershard had a lot of spines.
You read through the documents again when you’d finished your day’s work, memorising the names of the nobles involved, and trying to imagine what meeting this supposedly violent minotaur would be like. You’d never met a minotaur. They tended to live in the grasslands much further to the east of the country, and you’d grown up in Caersands; the capital of the duchy that sat on the western coast of the continent. The non-humans you were familiar with were selkies and merfolk, the orcish merchant sailors and the sylvan elves who came to the port city to trade their rich, fruit liquors from the forests to the north. Minotaurs were often found with gnolls and werebears and even hardy satyrs in the gladiatorial rings in other cities, but Caersands had banned fighting pits a century ago.
After a night of broken sleep, you joined Master Embershard and walked with the aged dragonborn through the heaving streets, keeping a close eye on your small purse and large bag.
Two burly orcs stood in fine ducal livery, guarding the bridge to the castle with halberds flashing in the summer sun, but Master Embershard handled the necessary introductions, and you trailed into the castle after him.
Caersands Castle had stood on the promontory of the curved port town for time out of mind, with high-reaching, crenellated towers and a keep at its heart that was squat and solid as a boulder. The rich limestone walls were pitted and stained with age, and the salt in the air sent blood-red rust stains trailing down the masonry from the iron bars and torch brackets, the sight of which put you in a jumpy mood before you were even near the dungeons.
The air grew cold and dank as you descended, and Master Embershard took your arm for a little stability on the stairs as you followed behind the rancid-smelling jailer. The surly man had a mean glint to his eyes and he had the look of a man who enjoyed his position. Cries and moans drifted on the air and you tried not to think about the crimes that the people down here were accused of.
At the end of the row of festering, iron cells, the jailer paused by a solid, ironwood door and unlocked the rusty lock with a massive key. “Careful now, Master Lawyer,” he said to Embershard, leering at him through the gloom with greedy eyes. “This one’s more beast than anything. I’d advise you not to get too close, even though he’s chained.” And with that, he stepped aside and stalked past you, adding, “Shout if you need me, but you’ll have to make it loud. Sometimes I can’t hear over all the racket down here!” He left, cackling at his own poor humour, and the two of you turned your attention to the minotaur in the cell.
Your breath caught when you saw him.
A single shaft of greasy sunlight filtered down through a tiny arrow-slit high in the upper reaches of the wall, and a foul stench filled the air. It was only as you saw a slime of greenish water tracking down the wall that you realised the cell window was only just above the level of water in the moat that surrounded the castle, and you cast Master Embershard a horrified look. This was one of the cells that flooded in the winter.
Master Embershard bristled, his arthritic tail lashing back and forth, then he braced himself and stepped into the room.
As he entered, the minotaur looked up and your eyebrows rose. He was huge; bigger than any orc you’d ever laid eyes on, with colossal sloping shoulders and the dense, curly mane and convex muzzle of a bison. His horns reached outwards in two short, stocky half-moons, steel grey in the poor light of the cell. He was naked to the waist, showing a thick, dark pelt that covered his whole torso, and a short little tail rested on the filthy flagstones beside him. To cover his remaining dignity, a ragged loincloth of undyed linen had been fastened around his hips. To your shock, he was chained from both wrists to a ring in the floor, and around his thick hocks, two shackles had also been secured and bolted.
Horror dropped through you like cold moat-water and you faltered on the spot, though Master Embershard had his wits about him and cleared his throat. “Ajax Heathclear?”

Hi, Liv. I stumble upon a cute piece of starker fic and I remember that you were (or is, but inactive?) a starker fans, and I think this little piece is neat and relevant to current celeb news (the leo one not the chris pine) with a twist ofc. it is sfw.

sorry if it turns out that you are already read this. I hope you like it. good day!
Oh my heart, that was so sweet! Also a brilliant way to explore that Leo meme haha so funny. I am touched that you thought of me, anon! This was just what I needed after work, thank you for sharing. I still read starker occasionally but I’m not active in the fandom anymore and I haven’t kept track of recent works. One obsession at a time 😂

Tony having separation anxiety from peter when he’s away on a mission and he’s constantly worried about him and when he gets back tony doesn’t leave his side and won’t stop cuddling him
Thank you sm for this prompt, I really loved writing it! I hope this is okay for you, I know its short which I’m super sorry for but I’ve got so many prompts in my inbox right now, I’m so sorry! ❤️
No TW. SFW
“You hate it when I leave. You worry. You’re like a Mom on her kid’s first day at kindergarten”.
“Do not. I couldn’t care less. You’re the one who argued and sulked that he was old enough to run missions solo”.
“You haven’t let go of my hand since I came back. Its been four hours”.
Tony looked down at their intertwined fingers and gave a haughty sniff, turning his gaze back to the TV screen. “That means nothing”.
Peter gave him a fondly exasperated side-eye, corners of his mouth lifting in a smile he couldn’t quite fight off. The moment he’d come back from the mission Tony had glued himself to his side, an act that had become the routine norm for Peter’s return. The younger man was spooned and held and fed and watched like a hawk, afforded no time alone (not that he wanted any) for at least a full day/night.
The mission hadn’t been anything too remarkable or dangerous, a generic tail and take-down of a drug transport operation that in truth, had mostly been taken care of by the militia that had accompanied Peter to the zone. All he’d really done was stop the convoy and web up three men who’d tried to flee the scene.
And yet, on his return after two days out, Tony had fussed over him and fed him and dragged him to the couch where they lay curled together, Peter bundled up in a blanket and tucked back against Tony’s chest like a swaddled babe. Peter let silence lapse for a short while, before he piped up again.
“You miss me when I’m gone”.
“I enjoy the peace and full control of the thermostat”.
“You fear for my safety”.
“The only things I fear are Hercules Moths and showing up to a Gala in last season’s suit” Tony announced loftily, arms wrapping tighter around Peter as though his denial might make the younger man move away. Peter merely grinned, broad and lopsided because the more Tony denied it, the truer it became.
“Oh, well, you won’t mind if I go see MJ, then? I didn’t get a chance to tell her about this-”
“No” Tony interrupted, arms squeezing tighter until Peter felt like he’d snuggled down with a constrictor snake. “Nope. No leaving. I have to...Observe you. For potential...Damage. After a strenuous mission” Tony settled on, voice firming to reinforce his made up instruction as he dropped his head to Peter’s hair, snuffling the thick curls gently.
Peter rolled his eyes and settled back, squeezing Tony’s hand gently. “That’s a lot of words for ‘I miss you when you’re gone’” he noted wryly, fixing his gaze on the TV. Tony scoffed behind him but didn’t argue, nuzzling at Peter’s hair until he gave a reluctant, soft sigh.
“Fine. I miss you when you’re gone. I hate it when you’re gone. I want to go with you and keep you safe and when you come home I don’t want you to leave until I’ve got it in my head that you came back”.
“That’s a lot of words for ‘I love you’”.
“Don’t push your luck” Tony grumbled into the back of his neck, but Peter felt the kiss pressed there, soft and belying his argument, and he settled back with a satisfied grin.
