Yayoi-era polished stone semi-lunar reaping knives, used to cut ears of rice before the apparition of the sickle.
Those kind of stones knives could be found in many cultures around the world. As stated by archeologist OP, what is super interesting is that they are still used in some areas (last pictures is captured from in Chinese video and shows a similar tool made from iron).
Tbh, they look so handy I'd love to own one for foraging during strolls!

I've been trying to identify some of the stones I've been using to make knives maybe you could help me out
I'm far from being a geologist, (more of a Rockhound) but if I had to guess I would say that the majority of your material looks like Brazilian agate. Your finished products look quite magnificent. Do you make them to sell or is it just a hobby?

I have a disorder which makes my kidney's hate processing calcium- been getting stones since I was 15 and I'm so fucking sorry my dude, they suck.
My ma has the same disorder- she says they're more painful than pregnancy, and really, what is a kidney stone but a little mineral baby your body made for you?
oh GOD anon i'm so, so sorry anon. i wouldn't wish it on anyone. it is, without a doubt, the single most excruciating experience of my life (which, again, is kind of lucky - i haven't been through a lot of pain in my life) you can't eat, you can't sleep – you're shaking like a leaf.
at one point i had to go outside (which, by the way, i couldn't stop hurling as i was walking) simply so i could sleep on a park bench because the cold and the noise of the birds and the hard, hard wood of the bench were the only variables that distracted me from the pain enough to the point where i could sleep. and a guy came up to me trying to give me money. because he thought i was homeless. that was the kind of week i was having last week.
my baby is due in 7 weeks. her name is sharon stone. she is growing healthily at about 2cm. i want her out of me immediately.

Overlooked since the 1950s, a new study of a bone fragment offers a surprise. It was decoratively carved by a Neanderthal, offering a unique insight into how our close relatives thought 100,000 years ago.

Stone is at home, waiting for his daughter to get from school when he gets a phone call (beeper call?) and she's on the other side in hysterics. of course he's already up and asking her what's wrong (who does he need to kill) and she tells him that while she was geading home some person dragged her into an alley and were threatening to do bad things to her at knifepoint when troublemaker!reader showed up and cane to her rescue..... too fucking bad that reader can't really do much against a grown man and gets stabbed while trying to protect Saira. she already called the ambulance and whatever but she also called her dad because the ambulance will take time to get there and reader is bleeding and she doesn't know what to do (or does if Stone taught her anything on medicine) so anyway Stone gets to see that reader isn't really all that bad. afterall not every kid would throw themselves in front of a knife to save a friend
Saira and Stone have a specific set of numbers (because letters are hard to type on a beeper) that signal to Stone that Saira is in danger, so I imagine she messaged him those numbers and he immediately used the beeper's location to find her.
He finds her and injured Troublemaker!Reader in the alley, trying to remain calm as she tries to staunch the bleeding, but she's too frazzled to remember the basic first aid that he taught her. Good thing this man keeps a spare medical bag in the trunk of his Jeep.
He's quick to get it out of the trunk and hurrying over to you. Saira is stumbling over her words, telling him all about why they were in the alley, how you tried to protect her, and how the ambulance was already on their way.
The ambulance soon comes and takes you to the hospital, Stone and Saira heading to a nearby police station to file a report.
The next time you see Saira, Stone is less grumpy, thanking you for trying to protect his daughter. He says something along the lines of "Maybe you aren't so bad" but if you ask him to repeat it, he pretends he doesn't know what you're talking about.
